Chapter 69: Demon Jack:
Brightmore's POV:
Here's what you missed before. We were encountering the Cult of Metlar again. They tried to escape, and Jack tried to go after them. But apparently, he had a run-in with Metlar himself. Now Jack is out cold and resting in the Med bay.
"Roadblock," says Director Flagg, "you're going to have to be in charge until Jack wakes up."
"Yes Sir."
"So, what is this," asks Steel, "a Demon Coma?"
"We still don't know alot about Metlar," says Twilight.
"Maybe the Dungeon Master would know what to do," suggests Miko.
"I'll look for him," says Director Flagg.
I looked at Jack and thought I saw his finger move.
Director Flagg's POV:
We managed to find the location of Draco Lacum. He's in Lake Geneva. I went over there to find him. I asked around, but not a lot of people knew where to find him. It occurs to me now that he's probably back in that Dungeons and Dragons world. Eventually, I finally found his apartment.
Miko's POV:
Twilight and I were playing Tirek's Revenge, but something strange was going on with the game. Tirek was coming out of the screen.
"That's new," I said.
"The game's come to life," says Twilight.
Tirek then tried to attack us. We didn't have our NERF blasters, so we ended up running.
Raf's POV:
Steel and I were in the lab. Steel was getting a recharge.
"One good thing about being a robot," says Steel, "if I tried this as a human, I'd explode."
"That's for sure," I said. Then Steel started acting strange. "Steel?"
"There is no Steel, there is only... Evox!"
Roadblock's POV:
Arashi and I were walking down the hall.
"What do you think Metlar looks like," asks Arashi.
"Well, he's a metal demon, maybe a robot."
Then I heard something slithering by. I took a look, and we saw Serpentor.
"What is that," asks Arashi.
"Serpentor! How did he get in here?"
Serpentor then chased after us.
Erika's POV:
I decided to check on Jack, but when I came in, I saw that he was missing, and Rook showed up.
"Rook, how did you get in here?"
"Wouldn't you like to know." Rook then turned to his Stretch Monster form and attacked me.
Director Flagg's POV:
I knocked on the door and Lacum answered.
"Diector Flagg, what brings you hee?"
"Lacum, we believe Jack had an encounter with Metlar."
"Oh no. That's moe seious than you think!"
"What do you mean?"
"Tell me, when your guys saved him, did anything else happen?"
"He's in a coma."
"That's not good. That isn't a coma. He's Metlar's puppet now!"
Brightmore's POV:
One was checking the security screens and One saw Mikoh and Twilight running mwah mwah sweetie that videoh game creature, steel attacking Raf, Roadblock and Aaarashi dealing with Serpentor, and Erikah taking ohn Roohk. Something wasn't roysh. Hoh did any of these mustah in? One then loohked ohn ah screen and saw Jack, floating.
Director Flagg's POV:
"So, let me get this straight, Metlar's possessing Jack?"
"Afraid so, MaTte. Metlar may be the Demon Sorceer of MeTtal, but he has other powers, including taking control of someone."
"And creating illusions?"
"Not exactly. Other people can see them. They're moe like mystical copies. It's like a tuisted way to bring chaacters back."
"You have a weird way of putting things."
"Anyway, to perform this spell, I'm going to need help. Problem is, finding another being with magical abiliTties."
"I might know a place."
Brightmore's POV:
I'm terribly sorry but Jack wasn't himself. One was loohking for him. One eventually found him.
"Jack, what is the meaning of this?"
"Jack is not here at the moment."
"Metlar!"
"I will destroy you fools from within your fortress, and no one can stop me!"
"We'll see about that! Cyborg Samurai!"
Cyborg Samurai appeaaars and is prepaaared to fisticuffs.
"You thought it wise to have a metal creature fight the Demon of Metal?"
Director Flagg's POV:
I returned to Lacum's apartment with Agent Sparkle's Equestrian counterpart.
"The Princess of Friendship and Element of Magic," says Lacum, "a pleasue to meet you."
"So, what do we have to do," Equestrian Twilight asks.
"First, we need these iTtems I already gatheed, the tradiTtional Eye of Newt, the Heart of a Dragon..."
"Good thing I didn't bring Spike."
"...and the blood of a Bergen. Don't ask how I got it or what a Bergen is. Now, follow my lead."
Lacum and Equestrian Twilight then begin the spell.
Brightmore's POV:
Every creature One try falls before Metlaaar's powah.
"I told you I was invincible!"
Raf's POV:
I was on the ground.
"I will destroy you in this new body!"
"Steel, if you can hear me, fight him!"
Roadblock's POV:
Arashi and me were still running from Serpentor.
"What is he," asks Arashi.
"He was Cobra Commander's pet," I said.
"He couldn't have gotten a goldfish," asks Arashi.
"Cobra Commander likes snakes," I said.
Miko's POV:
We were still running from Tirek.
"My Equestrian counterpart has had some encounters with this guy," says Twilight.
"Great, how do we beat him," I asked.
"I don't know, she always ends up getting interrupted before she can tell me!"
Erika's POV:
I was still fighting Stretch Monster.
"You can't beat the power of Metlar!"
Director Flagg's POV:
Lacum and Equestrian Twilight were performing the spell.
"Save nomeno poor sepa de wer kothar ui|ulph rihlilg! Release nomeno ghergo sthyr de wer whedab ir ui|ulph meage! Expell nomeno rekisix spical ekess uoinota!"
Brightmore's POV:
One was losing. Metlaaar was approaching myself and grabbed one's neck and staaarted choking myself. But then something baaarmy was happening. Light came mwah mwah sweetie his eyes and mouth and then he let jolly well goh.
"Brightmore, what happened?"
"We have to check ohn the uhthers," says Brightmore.
Director Flagg's POV:
"Jack should be freed from Metlar's control," says Lacum.
"Thank you for your help," I said.
"My pleasue. Just remember one thing, it's far from over."
Brightmore's POV:
All the images were gone.
"That was freaky," says Miko.
"Metlar's tougher than we thought," says Jack.
"We need to find out how to defeat him," I said.
"I think it might be related to the stones," says Twilight, "I think we need to find them before he does. We have to see my friends!"
In the next chapter, the team goes to talk to Rarity.
