Hello to all, this is Chapter 5 of the first Arc of Volume 6: Battle in Hueco Mundo!
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight of Light!

Volume 6: Chapter 5: Bravery and Swiftness! The Overwhelming Odds!
In the previous episode of DKR:
The battle against Aaroniero reached its climax as Rukia was prepared to give up her life to kill the Espada but Judai and Sailor Moon stopped him with the magical heroine expressing her past failures. This worked as Sailor Moon proceeded to stop Aaroniero with her power and alongside Judai and Rukia's final attack; Aaroniero was vanquished. Taking a hit, Rukia is forced to be healed by Usagi while Judai heads out alone to check up on the others.
Zommari felt Aaroniero's demise and prepared to deal with the enemy until Sonic and Ruby appeared. Having a score to settle, Sonic challenged the Espada with Ruby backing him up.
Edward's group, however, stepped into a trap by Szayelaporro. Now restrained by most of their abilities, Ed and Renji must fight the Espada's Fracción.
Alicia and Ryan lost sight of Sado and worst are engaged by the Exaquias and their leader, Rudbornn, who planned to kill the two to become an Espada. Alicia easily disposed of his men only for the Arrancar to use his Resurrección and revealed his true power. Ryan, wanting to prove his worth as a Dragon Knight, tried to fight the enemy and it nearly cost him more than once and worse as Alicia was stabbed through.
Will things turn out better? Will Ryan redeem himself?
What will happen next?
And now the conclusion... last left off in the previous episode:
It has so fast as Ryan watches as Rudbornn stabs Alicia but the Valkyrie grunts and swings her lance at him. He evades it with Sonido, now noticing that his blade only went through her left shoulder. Ryan breathes, relaxing as he thought she was a goner.
"Oh? You intercepted my fatal blow with your shoulder. Impressive.'' The Arrancar praises the woman's swift reaction to evade certain death. Alicia breathes, her left arm dropped downward as it bleeds out. If she hasn't moved to the left and let her shoulder take the blow. But now she's in a worse situation, bleeding out badly which causes her to drop her shield, stabbing into the ground.
Rudbornn notices the injury and taunts her. ''But now you can't use that arm anymore.''
Alicia isn't dumb to tell him that her Valkyria powers will heal this wound, hopefully quicker than usual. Regardless, she can't use her shield with her left arm like this.
''No matter, you will still die!'' The Arrancar declares, about to charge at the injured Alicia until Ryan gets to his back, firing a Dragon Slice Attack only for a few newly born Calaveras to appear and intercept the attack, destroying themselves.
Ryan panics as Rudbornn turns his head and proclaims. ''You cannot attack me from the back, human.''
He grunts, frustrated that his mistake cost Alicia to get hurt because of him. He shakes his head, apologizing for his mistake. "I'm sorry Alicia, I just-"
"I know!" Alicia tells him, gasping from her wounds. She knows his own self-doubt when Kojan and Yugi are so much more ahead of him and he wants to show he's not holding anyone back but she knows this isn't the way either. It reminds her of how Judai convinced her to believe in her power too and that's what Ryan needs to do too.
"I know why but you can't fight like the rest of us. Fight your own way. You're a Dragon Knight but your own Dragon Knight." Alicia expresses with a small smile, believing in him. Ryan is silent, wondering if he can-
"HAHAHA!" Rudbornn just laughs it off, mocking her nonsense. "Such fruitless speech! Is this all you can express before-"
''You're a coward!'' The Arrancar staggers back, staring at Ryan who looks back at him furious at those words he called his friend, but most of all someone who fights for others.
''Attacking someone who can only defend is not righteous or chivalry! If your power is of God, then your God is a fake because a real God would smite down at your actions!'' Ryan shouts at him, disgusting by his disrespect towards Alicia and most of all mocking his lord. Rudbornn takes it well, letting out a furious yell. ''… YOU DARE MOCK THE POWER OF AIZEN-SAMA!''
He trembles with such fury, such hatred by this human and what he called his master. He will not tolerate it; he will not forgive this damn human.
Rudbornn gives birth to more Calaveras, surrounding the two humans. He soon orders them, pointing at Alicia. ''Deal with her.''
They charge at Alicia, ignoring Ryan who tries to slash some only for Rudbornn to appear in front and slashes him away. He yells out in pain, pushed backwards hard.
''Ryan, don't!'' Alicia shouts at him to not fight the Arrancar but his inferior clones surround her and attack. She dodges around them, not able to guard as she slashes a few down.
Ryan is forced to fight Rudbornn who moves around his attacks like he's a ghost, simply moving around his attacks. He then shrieks and slashes Ryan across his right arm. ''WEAK!'' And then slashes his legs before grabbing his neck and tossing him onto a wall. ''WEAK HUMAN!''
Ryan gasps, blood coming out from his mouth and his bleeding wounds. He tries to move only for the Arrancar to come at him and he punches Ryan so hard that the wall he's leaning on cracks through and crashes him through it. He falls hard on the other side, rolling away.
Rudbornn hovers through the hole, watching annoyed as Ryan begins to pull himself up again.
''You are nothing but an ant compared to my power!'' He declares, coming at him again. Extending back his uninjured left arm, Ryan tries to shout hesitative. ''D-DRAGONAUN BLOW!''
He comes at him with a strong punch but Rudbornn easily catches it and then slams him around the ground, laughing like he's beating down on a worm. He then tosses him away on the floor, watching him splash upward before crashing on his back. He grunts in such pain, trying to pull himself back up.
''D-DRAGON SLICE A-ATTACK!'' Trying to attack, Ryan tries swinging his sword and fires an attack only for the Arrancar to slash it apart. This shocks Ryan, uttering upset. ''Ah come on…''
Rudbornn laughs at his weak attempt, summoning more Calaveras. They all charge at Ryan and beat down on him on all sides; kicking or smacking him aside like a rag doll. Alicia watches powerless as she's forced to fight the Calaversas she is dealing with.
''You cannot and will not beat me for I am a god!'' Rudbornn proclaims strongly, dismissing his inferior copies to fight the Valkyria before grabbing the beaten Ryan up his feet. He grunts in pain as the Arrancar now shouts, thrusting his blade towards him. ''Now die!''
It happened all so fast as the blade stabbed through him. Alicia screams in horror, her Valkyria aura erupting but Ryan couldn't hear it. He starts blacking out as he falls onto the ground. He feels… cold like the life in him is being drained away. Is this… what… dying feels like? Is this how his father and mother felt in their last moments? There wasn't a lot he was thinking as he succumbed to the darkness. If it was his time to die, so be it… but… there was one thing he did think about.
''E-Erika…'' Ryan utters that name in his mind before closing his eyes.
This happened a day before everyone left for Hueco Mundo when Erika had a moment with Ryan, wondering if he would be going to join the mission too. He confirmed her worries, causing her to frown.
''You're going to help Yugi then?'' Erika questioned him, saddened, almost sounding like she didn't want him to go. Ryan understood her worries but most of all her desires to be part of the team to save her. He was aware of it but he also knew Ichigo would want her to stay and watched over their friends. Someone had to and who better but the one Mew Mew that Ichigo trusts the most. But… Ryan had his reasons to go with them.
''Ichigo is your friend and mine too. I cannot let Yugi fight against such foes alone.'' Ryan expressed, not able to forgive himself if he didn't help those he could finally befriend. For him, it was the utmost grandest of honors to save his captured comrade.
Erika just frowned, figuring as much that would be his answer and this only depressed her more. It wasn't because he was still new with his powers and still fairly a beginner to all of this but more than that. Having to know him, witnessing how he cared for her, to look beyond her beauty that other men fall before to; it hurts to think that he might die if he goes there.
''… Don't go.'' She pleaded to him, staring at him with a watery eye face. This surprises Ryan as she reaches and holds onto his hands. She stared at him, not saying a word but using her eyes that she doesn't want to lose him too. He blushed, understanding her and yet…
''I know you mean well but…'' Ryan began to reply, staring back at her eyes with a strong look. ''I have to go.''
Erika made a half open, saddened mouth expression as her eyes looked downward.
''Is it what Kojan told you?'' She asked him, aware that Kojan didn't bother to even fight him at all.
''No… maybe…'' Ryan openly said, not even sure himself but he did have his reason to go, saying it. ''I want to go because I was taught to be as brave as a knight. To be chivalry for your comrades and fight against those who will bring harm to more.''
He could still remember all the stories his mother told him about bravery and the code of chivalry from knight stories. He recalled their struggles and how their journeys made them stronger protectors of peace. If he could be one of them… maybe… Maybe, he will not lose to anyone else.
''I'll be fine. I might be inexperience and weak but I will take my chances because someone has to.'' Ryan told her with a small smile. Erika looked back up at him, realizing how determined Ryan is about this. He doesn't care if he might die; he wants to go through this to become better.
''… It's not about that.'' Erika began to say, admitting her feelings as she won't have another chance as her cheeks turned red. ''I don't want you to go because I want you here with me.''
Now Ryan blushed, having this feeling that was the reason why she was so against this. He just smiled, he released her grip on his hands and he hugged her. Erika's face became a soft red glow; taken back he just did that. She wasn't opposing this but just feeling his warmth embracing her.
''And that's why I must go so I can prove to myself that I can…'' Ryan began to explain his new goal to go on this dangerous journey with a big smile. ''That I can show milady I am worthy of her!''
Erika just looked up at him, showing a softness she would never give for any man she's met or gone out with; she was never this happy in her life.
''I will not die Erika.'' Ryan vowed to her with a heroic smile, more passionate about keeping this promise.''I won't.''
Erika looked at him as she tiptoed herself up to his face. Ryan was startled by this as she leaned closer right towards his lips and kissed him. Silence now consumed the moment as the two had their lips locked to each other. They began to embrace the other, feeling in warmth as they kissed romantically.
This lasted for about 30 seconds before Erika lowered herself. Ryan unwrapped his arms off her as Erika finally asked him kindly but firmly. ''… Come back to me.''
Ryan smiled softly, planning to. He would come back to her, that he won't fail her.
Remembering his promise, Ryan opens up his eyes again as his body begins to glow.
Alicia stares with such fury as Rudbornn now turns his attention towards her. Killing her will be more pleasurable than the weak human.
Swipe the blood off his sword, he proclaims excitedly. ''Now onto with the-''
He advances forward towards Alicia, struggling against his copies, until he pauses, feeling something from behind him. He turns around and widens his eyes.
''What?!'' The Arrancar yells out in disbelief. Hearing his reaction, Alicia turns and her eyes widen before smiling to see Ryan back on his feet. He pants heavily, still bloody hurt but his wounds are closing up. He gazes upward, glaring at the Espada as he refuses to die.
''I… I promised her that I would not die.'' Ryan begins to utter, glaring strongly towards the enemy. ''I would fight beside Yugi and save his fair lady. Who am I to run away from this and die? A coward? Yes.''
Immediately he stomps his right foot forward, yelling passionately, showing his fierce determination. ''BUT I WILL NOT RUN AWAY OR PERISH HERE! That is bravery! That is the chivalry of a knight! And why I cannot fail!''
Alicia smiles to hear that. Rudbornn does not take it well as he holds up his left arm, swirls of red energy building up in his palm.
''ENOUGH OF YOU!'' The Arrancar howls, done with his nonsense and with his existence. ''DIE! CERO!''
He fires the red beam of energy right at Ryan and hits him directly, exploding. Alicia's eyes widen in horror as she shouts, slashing a few of the Arrancar's minions in her way. ''RYAN!''
Rudbornn simply laughs it off, finally having kill of that-
However, the smoke clears up and to the Arrancar's shock and Alicia's surprise; Ryan stands there perfectly fine.
''W-what?' Rudbornn utters out; words not able to describe how this can be. Even Alicia is really startled by this.
Ryan blinks, just as confused. How did he survive that? And he could have sworn something just moved from his behind.
''Why my help, of course.'' He startles again, hearing a similar voice now speaking once more. ''For a human, I am pleased to feel your emotion return my strength again.''
Ryan turns around as his world turns dark and soon he widens his eyes to see a massive teal green, humanoid muscle-like sea tortoise monster man with a giant turtle shell with black-white lining across its shells and a demonic-like neon blue glowing pupil eyes. He drops his jaw, not expecting this as he just utters out loud. ''You're a giant turtle!''
''Tortoise. You may call me the Inner Tortoise.'' The giant creature corrects the human with a loud yet calm voice. Ryan just stares speechless before asking him. ''Wait, are you related with Erika's Inner Scorpion?''
The tortoise growls deeply before responding. ''I wish I wasn't but I am.''
Ryan hums, not following that as he asks him. ''How come?''
The Inner Tortoise hums, lowering himself to be at least close to him and responses. ''A premise of why we are demons. The Inner Scorpion enjoys her power of destruction. Most of us enjoy power… especially the Inner Tiger.''
Ryan just blinks more as the Inner Demon further explains. ''And yes kiddo, we are called Inner Demons not because we're demons. We're what you humans call myths; stuff that should not exist. We were given this name by our creator.''
The young human is really surprised, just nodding as he understands. The Inner Tortoise smiles as he now asks his host. ''So then, shall I lend you my strength?''
Ryan isn't completely sure about that. It could help him big time but his inner lawyer is telling him to confirm what he is offering to be legit.
The Inner Tortoise as he informs his host. ''Kiddo, I can read your mind.'' Ryan startles, laughing a bit nervous as the tortoise then tells him. ''And no, you don't need to read a document if I'm scamming you for something. Why would you think I want like your bank account?!''
''Well I'm a lawyer. I just wanted to be sure.'' Ryan awkwardly explains himself, not meaning to offend him.
''…'' The Inner Tortoise looks at him with a look, not even saying a word. He soon sighs and tells him humbly. ''Kiddo. Believe in what you promise her and what your mother taught you.''
Ryan is silent but he smiles, wanting to. He doesn't respond as he turns around as the world around him reverts back to normal. He doesn't want to lose or fail Erika. He stands up straight; his wounds all gone. Alicia notices this surprise while Rudbornn begins to shout furiously. ''Damn human! You will-''
''No.'' The Arrancar staggers as Ryan stares seriously at him, not going to become his punching bag or die here. ''I made a promise and I won't die here by you and your well skulls!''
He holds forward the Dragon Sword, focusing on deep thought. He recalls what Yugi told him about focusing on a strong desire; something he wants that is both selfish but generous. Something he wants but must come from the heart.
''Focus on a strong desire…'' Ryan tells himself mentally, thinking of Yugi and the others, of Alicia who needs help, of his parents who are gone… and of Erika.
''Help me…'' Slowly proclaiming as the sword begins to glow, Ryan soon shouts with widened eyes, raising it upward. ''RISING LIMIT!''
Soon his Dragon Sword shines in a bright light and consumes the area in its light to Rudbornn's surprise.
Sonic and Ruby are engaging against Zommari and his clones, all of them dashing around the room with great speed, almost like blurs.
The blue hedgehog Spin Dashes around each of the Espada and his clones' sword swings, easily zig-zagging them while dodging the swings with such ease that for a moment he's in midair in a laying, sleeping pose with both arms behind his back. Ruby, meanwhile, is using her Semblance to keep up with the Espada and his copies' Sonidos so well that she can circle around them. She then does a spinning 2880º degree slash with her scythe, slashing down a few and as soon as she stops for more copies to come at her on all sides; Ruby presses the trigger on the handle of her weapon to activate the small fire engine on the back end of her scythe to cause her to spin again and slash down the rest.
She then uses her Semblance to ping-pong Zommari and his copies still charging at her to leap upward. She somersaults upside down, flipping her scythe into its blaster mode. She takes aim above them, hesitating for a second as she remembers Kojan's words from her fight against him. ''You think you're a huntress because you can slay monsters? Humans are monsters too. Unless you have the determination to cut down someone that looks or is human, then you will never be able to help anyone or be a huntress. Remember that.''
Ruby frowns upsetly, admitting he's right. Professor Oobleck told her something similar about Grimm and the hesitation in a life-or-death fight. She knows that it's do or die but… but…
''I get it but I don't like it!'' Ruby tells herself, admitting that it's wrong that killing humans isn't right but it's the only way too. She frowns, further telling herself. ''If I have to cut someone down, I have to do it for what I'm trying to fight for.''
She thinks of her team, of Yugi and the others but most of all the image of her mother who is her inspiration.
''They're counting on me… because Mama would do the same.'' Ruby begins to say mentally, finally making the resolve before shouting and unloading a barrage of shots at the Espada and his copies. ''And I will too!''
The bullets pierce through the copies, killing them while Zommari deflects the shots as he backs away.
''Nuisance child.'' Zommari proclaims, leaping up at her while Ruby descends right at him. He swings as she spin-swings, clashing as the two push away from each other but only briefly as Zommari appears right in front of her.
''Your chances against me are-'' He begins to declare only to get a spin kick by Sonic who taunts him, smirking. ''Are what? Slim?''
''That's right! It doesn't change anything because we will fight to save any of our friends!'' Ruby calls him out at the enemy, charging at him as she swings her scythe again. Zommari dodges to the left but Ruby stabs the blade of the Crescent Rose onto the ground and she spins around at him with a spinning kick. Zommari is forced to guard with his forearms, blocking her kicks with ease before pushing her out of the spin.
''You know nothing of why you're here.'' He declares calmly, swinging his sword right through her until her body explodes into rose petals. He startles as Ruby's voice utters. ''I don't…''
Zommari turns to see Ruby above him, firing a sniper shot that hits through his leg, causing him to gasp in shock that went past his Hierro.
''Need to know…'' Ruby continues saying as she somersaults back to the ground and takes aim and fires just as Zommari comes at her regardless of his wound, swinging his sword. ''Why I shouldn't help save a friend!'' Her sniper shot hits through Zommari's right arm, actually causing his swing to miss her. He misses as Ruby responds by switching the sniper into blaster and fires an up-close electric Dust shot, zapping him as he's pushed back.
Trembling her arms for a moment, Ruby soon declares passionate as she twirls her blaster into scythe mode. ''I will save my friends, not caring why I shouldn't! This is my answer!''
Grabbing her weapon with both hands, Ruby soon dashes and becomes a petal of scattering roses, blitzing around the Espada who tries to keep up with her speed only for her to vanish and he finds himself slash across the right rib. He grunts, swinging close to the petal of roses and hits nothing only to get slash across that arm. It doesn't stop there as the roses spiral around him like a twister as Zommari is slashed over and over within the thousands of roses surrounding him.
''ROSE FURY!'' Ruby shouts within the twister, accelerating her speed so fast that her swings cut right through his Hierro, damaging him until the final swing nearly cuts off his neck if not for Zommari to partly block it and it launches him onto a wall.
Ruby grinds her feet on the ground, stabbing her scythe into the ground to stop her movement. She breathes heavily as underneath her boots glow burning smoke. She blushes, actually doing a victory hop that her attack works.
Sonic nods with a smirk, glad to see her standing up and fighting with heart and no doubt. That and his training with her work like a charm.
Pulling himself out of the wall, Zommari breathes angrily, not possible for a human to damage her, touching his bleeding wounds.
''You…'' He utters, raising his left hand and charging up a Cero and fires it. Seeing this and reacting fast, Ruby twirls her scythe as it changes into blaster form and fires a quick piercing shot, a Dust mix with Shadow, Fire and Ice that clashes against the Cero but it could only stop it briefly but enough for Sonic to Speed Boost through the energy beam and pierces through it. Zommari panics as Sonic leaps through his attack and delivers a flying kick and once he kicks him, begins to unleash a barrage of kicks almost a hundred times before delivering a strong kick. The blow sends Zommari backwards, gasping in pain.
He gasps, not believing he's actually losing to mere mortals. If he dies, Aizen-sama will never forgive him. He must win!
''I've seen enough!'' Zommari begins to proclaim, levitating over the ground as he positions himself in a crossed legged sitting. ''You two will die here. Prepare yourself.''
His eyes glow and then he grabs his head, one hand on the bottom and the other on the top. He then twists his head upside down.
''…'' Ruby, silently, widens her eyes before she screams with her jaw dropping. ''D-DID YOU JUST TWIST YOUR HEAD UPSIDE DOWN?!''
Sonic glares serious, figuring this would happen.
''Suppress!'' Zommari announces as his body erupts in energy. ''Brujería!''
''…'' Observing silently, Jonouchi stares along with the others as Yugi is still playing against Starrk. Even though the two are evenly matched so far, Yugi has already figured out each spot of the dual identical cards while the Espada… well…
Silent with a firm look, Starrk looks down at the remaining dozen plus face-down cards and it's annoying him. This is actually making him try to think to Lilynette's own annoyance, shouting at his partner. ''COME ON STARRK! PICK ALREADY!''
Starrk tries to ignore her, not wanting to lose his state of focus- God, he hates this so much.
Yugi just smiles as he expresses. ''Lilynette-kun is quite jumpy huh?''
''Drives me mad sometimes.'' The Espada responds with a growly voice. Yugi still smiles as he expresses honestly. ''It just means you care for her.''
Starrk pauses for a moment before looking back at the cards and picks up a card, sighing as if it's not it.
Jenny watches as she can tell her brother is being friendly to the enemy… then again, it's exactly his enemy but she does wonder his motives for even doing this.
''Why are you playing this game with the enemy, Yugi?'' Jenny questions his reasons as she continues watching them play.
Commercial Break:
Ruby: I will become a huntress my friends and mama believe I can be!
Ryan: I won't fail the promises I made and become a true knight!
It's been a long, busy day at Café Mew Mew as each of the girls do their best to attend to the customers, even Mint is doing her part. Erika watches from her end, seeing everyone also working just as hard. What can they do; they're all worried for Ichigo and they have to do their part in keeping Tokyo safe. That's what she would do.
Erika, above everyone else, is just if not more worried for Ichigo and everyone else trying to save her but there is one person she wants to see come back safe and sound, probably most of all.
"Ryan…'' Erika mutters, carrying a tray of dirty dishes to the kitchen, hoping he's doing okay and that he hasn't forgotten his promise. ''Come back safe, please.''
Alicia watches speechless while Rubornn growls as Ryan is focusing his power as his sword continues glowing.
Soon, a voice echoes in Ryan's mind as he begins to chant. ''Brave Sword that fights for justice, nobility and chivalry!''
His Dragon Sword suddenly erupts in energy as Ryan swings it forward and releases a torrent of energy. The light consumes the hallway, even piercing through the ceiling.
Alicia continues staring, breathless, as the light dies out. Soon the fading light reveals Ryan, now wielding a more medieval, silver/bronze colored knightly sword with a matching scabbard he holds with his other hand. The blade has a well-detailed design as the steel shines.
''Let your swing guide me, Dragon Braver!'' Ryan declares calmly yet strongly, wielding both his sword forward and the scabbard like a blade too.
''Ryan…'' Alicia utters astonished, slowly smiling. He did it; he has a similar form to Yugi and Kojan. Not Burst Limit but close enough.
Rudbornn just howls, declaring as he raises his claw towards him. ''Matters not! Kill him!''
The Calaveras all charge at him. Ryan oddly smiles as he takes a step forward and dashes even faster than before the copies knew it; they are all slashed down by both Ryan's sword and sharp scabbard. Rudbornn stares with such horror and yet fury before coming at him, swinging his lightning shaped sword. Ryan watches and can react as he parries his sword swing and then swings his scabbard weapon, slashing his chest if not for Rudbornn to use Sonido to appear behind him.
Ryan panics, trying to turn around but he will not make it until the Demon Tortoise tells him. ''Leave this to me kiddo!''
Suddenly Ryan's eyes glow a neon blue as a long, teal colored long reptile-like tail manifests with the tip having a medium-size, shell-like shield resembling the Inner Demon. The Arrancar startles heavily so much so that the tail swings on its own and bashes him across the face, slamming him away hard through the wall.
Ryan blinks awkwardly, eyeing his tail wagging. Alicia drops her jaw, uttering in disbelief. ''H-HE GREW A TAIL!''
''A shell armored tail?'' He mutters out, correcting her but not caring as this is a real surprise. He watches it still wag but snaps out, proclaiming. ''Good enough!''
Rudbornn shoots out from the destroyed wall, hissing as he's taken damage.
''I'll just make-'' The Arrancar begins to declare, about to create more Calaveras only for Ryan to raise his Dragon Bravery and shouts, swinging it forward at them. ''DRAGONAUN WAVE FLARE!''
His sword fires a wave of heated flames so fast it hits and consumes Rudborrn that it burns him. He screams, trying to put down the flames.
''So that's Ryan's new attack!'' Alicia utters amazement though her attack is much hotter. Ryan, however, shakes his head as he corrects her statement. "No, it's one alternative!''
Focusing, Ryan shouts swinging his sword again. "DRAGONAUN WAVE QUAKE!''
He swings and this time his sword fires an earth-like energy wave. The wave hits Rudbornn as his whole body literally quakes from the impact before launching backwards.
''Now earth!'' Alicia utters in surprise. The Arrancar gasps as he tries to laugh evilly. ''None of those attacks will work on me! I-''
''DRAGONAUN WAVE SPLASH!'' Ryan, ignoring his enemy's declaration, swings his main sword firing a water energy wave and follows it swinging the scabbard. "DRAGONAUN WAVE GUST!'' It fires a wind energy wave too.
The two waves hit at the same time as Rudbornn, withstanding the attack, utters weakly before quivering in such coldness.
''T-that did… nothing!'' He tries uttering with a disdainful voice.
Ryan then notices the Arrancar quivering, as if he was cold? Why? And then he realizes that the last two waves were water and wind.
Nodding on that gamble, Ryan raises his main sword and shouts, swinging it forward. ''DRAGONAUN WAVE FROST!'' The sword fires a frozen energy wave at him.
Both too proud that he can handle this next attack and still recovering from the last two, Rudbornn tanks the attack and immediately begins to regret as his branches crack and break apart to his horror. He gasps deeply with widened eyes, dropping on one knee.
''How strange. Trees have endurance against ice and snow but yours can't.'' Ryan analyzes with a surprise look. This insults Rudbornn, yelling out furiously. ''DO NOT MOCK ME! THIS IS THE POWER OF GOD!''
Ryan just frowns as he dashes at him, swinging a barrage of swings that the Arrancar can only block until the last swing becomes a thrusting Dragonaun Blow, hitting across his masked face and cracks it. Rudbornn is launched backwards but jumps up, floating in the air and yells in both pain and fury.
''THIS ISN'T POSSIBLE! I WILL NOT-'' Rudbornn yells furiously until a familiar voice speaks up firmly. ''Hey.''
The Arrancar quickly makes an expression of horror, turning halfway to see the glow of blue flames from behind him. He was too distracted to notice Alicia standing below him, aiming her charged fiery lance one handed and looking hurt yet pissed
''You let your guard down.'' She tells him the same words he told her seriously. The Arrancar panics, needing to-
Suddenly he's hit across the front by Ryan and his Dragonaun Wave Frost, freezing him again. Rudbornn just yells out in frustration, shouting with such hate in his voice. ''B-BUT I AM A GOD, AIZEN-SAMA! YOU PROMISED-''
His voice is immediately cut off and consumed by the overwhelming, super heating blast of Blue Flame, obliterating him completely.
Alicia breathes heavily, stabbing her lance onto the ground before dropping on her knees. Her Valkyrie form deactivates as she breathes harder.
''Alicia!'' Ryan shouts, running to her aid as his tail fades away and his eyes revert back to normal. She looks up and just smiles, easing his worries. ''I-I'm okay. Look.''
She shows him her left shoulder and it's closing up the wound.
''Oh you're healing!'' Ryan utters, amazed by her Valkyrie's regeneration. Alicia nods, thankful for this passive ability but grunts as she needs some time to heal.
''I need time to rest but it shouldn't take long.'' She tells him, sitting down breathing. Ryan frowns slightly, wishing he did a better job before but he'll make it up now.
''Oh yea.'' Ryan hums as he looks down at Alicia, smiling as she thanks him with a tease. ''Thanks for the save, Dragon Knight Ryan.''
Ryan widens his eyes, dazzled by those words before forming a bright smile. She's right, he's becoming more of a Dragon Knight now. He smiles more, thanking the Inner Demon in him for the help. ''Thank you… Inner Tortoise?''
''Whatever name you wish to call me is fine." The Inner Tortoise informs him telepathically."But you made it possible but you are welcome kiddo.''
Ryan blushes, nodding. He eyes the Dragon Braver, thinking that he's getting there to be in the same level as Yugi and Kojan but he'll fight his own way with chivalry on his side.
Ruby watches horrified as Zommari has entered his Resurrección form. Sonic smirks, hoping to see this form.
''Behold! My true form!'' Zommari proclaims proudly of his true form.
''…'' Blinking awkwardly, Ruby stares down at his large balloon-like bottom half and it looks so familiar… like- It then hits her, asking him excitedly. ''Are you a pumpkin?''
''What?'' The Espada questions with a stunned, puzzled face. Sonic rubs underneath his chin, humming as he gets it. ''Oh yea! He does look like one if yoy squeeze your eyes a bit!''
Ruby nods her head rapidly, shouting in agreement. ''BUT WITH SO MANY EYES! It's so freaky that it's scary!'' She oddly smiles "Kinda cool though!"
She can imagine using him for trick-or-treaters, giggling at the idea.
This actually irritates Zommari that these fools are mocking his appearance. He will not allow it; he will not allow this humiliation anymore!
''You will be afraid! Behold my-'' He begins to announce, clapping his hands together but as soon he does this; Ruby switches her Crescent Rose into its blaster form and fires a powerful energy shot at him. However, the bullet is instead sucked up by one of his many eyes. This shocks Ruby, freaking out loudly. ''My bullet shot was directed to his eye!''
Sonic just smirks as he advises her. ''Move quickly and don't stop moving or let him get a good view of you!''
Ruby doesn't follow it but nods as she and Sonic dash as blurs around the move. Zommari scoffs at their foolish defiance as he proclaims. ''It's useless! You should have run away.''
His many eyes can see and spot their movement with ease. He soon focuses and uses Amor, catching Ruby across her right leg. She suddenly drops on the ground but she doesn't do it on purpose but rather her right leg stopped moving.
''W-what just-'' Ruby utters before her leg begins twirling around, causing her great agony. She screams as she eyes her leg has a strange mark across it. ''AHH MY LEG!''
Sonic stops, growling, as he glares back at Zommari who proclaims calmly. ''Do you remember my Amor ability, hedgehog?''
''Sure do.'' The blue hedgehog responses, remembering how he got caught by that same ability. Zommari shows no expression as he proclaims as his eyes all shrink their pupils. ''Good then you will re-experience it!''
Sonic watches and just smirks, standing his ground. The Espada doesn't care as his eyes open widely and Sonic is hit all over his body by his ability. Ruby watches horrified and screams loudly. ''SONIC!''
Zommari scoffs down at the frozen hedgehog, doing everything in his control to not kill him yet but Aizen-sama would enjoy hostages or at least those that the mad Espada Szayelaporro can do with them.
''Too-'' He begins to proclaim until his words are interrupted and stolen by Sonic. ''Easy, right?!''
Zommari's main eyes as well as his other ones all widen, looking back and see the blue hedgehog now surrounded in a golden aura, burning away the markings of Zommari's technique. He soon stands up straight and faces him with a cocky, confident smirk. Ruby gasps amazed.
''M-My Amor. Impossible!'' Zommari utters in such terror, never believing this can be possible. He grits his teeth, uttering furiously. ''How can you suppress my control over you?!''
Sonic smirks, rubbing his right ear.
''Sheer awesome willpower…'' He begins to tell him boastfully before 6 Chaos Emeralds float around him. ''And Chaos Emeralds.''
Ruby blinks, having been told about those emeralds and how powerful they are too.
Zommari is visibly shocked before becoming madder.
''I… I…'' Struggling to maintain his composure, the 7th Espada cannot hold his nature and shouts out furiously. ''I CURSE YOUR DAMN NAME!''
Sonic just rubs his other ear, almost phasing off his hateful declaration while smirking.
''You will not get away with this! I will kill you for Aizen-sama!'' Zommari, even madder, vows viciously as his eyes all shrink down. ''And I will make you watch as those you fight will die!''
Smirking, Sonic gets in a running position before blasting forward.
''You gloat way too-'' He begins to say, about to settle their score until a familiar voice shouts. ''CHAOS CONTROL!''
Suddenly time freezes up as Sonic stops in his tracks, unaffected thanks to his many Chaos Emeralds. However, he notices there's only 5 floating around him as he looks ahead and watches as Shadow is now standing in front of the Espada, frozen in time, as he has two emeralds.
''He's right you know…'' Shadow begins to say, extending his right hand forward as a golden orb manifests between his palm. ''You talk too much. CHAOS SPEARS!''
He fires multiple Chaos Spears that fly on their own and each one stabs through each of the eyes until they're all hit by it except his main pair eyes. Shadow soon snaps his fingers as time resumes and Zommari lets out painful screams as each of his eyes across his body have been stabbed by the golden spears of chaotic energy.
''AAAAWWW! M-MY EYES!'' The Espada shrieks in such pain, not experiencing anything so painful then he has right now. Ruby is so puzzled about what just happened.
''Hey, what gives Shadow! I had this guy!'' Sonic complains at the black hedgehog, wanting to fight this guy. Shadow turns at him and scoffs, replying back firmly. ''Stop complaining. We're trying to save Ichigo Momomiya, not joining some party.''
Sonic makes a face, laughing softly yet nervously as he kinda forgot that's why they came here in the first place.
Zommari hisses in such pain, gazing at the two creatures and just yells out. ''Y-YOU DAMN HEDGEHOGS!''
Shadow faces him, scoffing as he narrows his eyes. Sonic then notices as Kaiba walks up, snarling firmly.
''Want to kill him or should I?'' Kaiba asks the black hedgehog who scoffs too, not caring.
Gritting his teeth as if he was some worthless enemy, Zommari charges up a Cero and fires it at them. Kaiba, however, counters it by summoning Saggi the Dark Clown. The dark clown uses his power to take the attack for itself, destroying itself. Through its destruction, however, a mist of Crush Card Virus emerges from the destroyed clown and covers itself upon Zommari, infecting him and his wounded eyes.
''W-WHAT IS THIS?!'' The Espada questions as his body begins breaking apart, unable to keep himself whole.
''That, whatever you are…'' Seto begins to say, looking down at the so-called enemy. ''Is your countdown to your death.''
Zommari scowls in such pain, simply uttering out. ''You damn human-''
''Triple…'' Kaiba begins to proclaim as all 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons manifest hovering over the Espada, each one already charging up their attacks. Zommari only stares with widened eyes as Kaiba commands loudly as his dragons fire their united three mouth energy blast. ''BURST STREAM OF DESTRUCTION!''
The torrent of the triple mouth electrical blast consumes the Espada, causing him to scream ever so loudly as these attacks are physically real.
''AAAAAHHHHH!'' Zommari screams, reaching up to the sky and begs for salvation from his lord. ''SAVE ME, AIZEN-SAMA!''
No response as the light consumes him and vaporizes him completely. Not just him but the whole building explodes. It blows everything apart with the 3 white dragons protecting everyone else within before vanishing.
Ruby gasps astonishingly as the marking on her leg fades away. She blinks, feeling her leg moving on her action and she smiles, leaping herself back on all twos. ''My leg is back!''
She tries hugging her own leg, happy to have it back. Sonic looks around and sees no remains of Zommari. He sighs, complaining again as that was his opponent. ''Man, I still had this.'' He sighs defeated, even lowering his head.
''Next time, Sonic! We got a friend to save!'' Ruby also reminds him, actually siding with Shadow who scoffs. Sonic just sighs as he responds with a smile. ''Yea, next time!''
Kaiba snarls, not seeing Yugi around here.
''Yugi isn't among them.'' He says with Shadow agreeing. ''Guess we'll keep looking.''
The two begin to walk out towards the open desert. Sonic and Ruby watch them just walk away before she shouts out, running up to them. ''Hey, wait for us!''
Sonic shrugs his shoulders with a sigh, following right behind them.
Things aren't going well with Ed and his group as Szayelaporro's Fracción are easily outnumbering them and they can't go all out either.
Renji pants, only able to bring out Zabimaru's Shikai form but it's not enough. Ed grunts as he has to disable the enemy by slashing or injuring their limbs and yet it's doing nothing. In fact, pain doesn't bother these freaks. Dondochakka is trying to fight though it's clearly revealed that he's not as strong.
Edward hates this scenario and he hates it more that their lives are being played with by the pink hair psychopath, grinning as he watches their torment.
"You know, if your great plan is to trap us in your stupid room; you could have used your full power and kill us.'' Ed declares, dunking a body tackle at him and then he kicks him away. Szayelaporro just laughs softly, correcting him. ''Where is the entertainment in that?''
''We don't have time to play your stupid, twisted game!'' Renji shouts, whipping his transformed Zanpakuto and slashes down a few Arrancars only for them to be replaced. He then thrusts his bladed whip at the Espada who easily catches it with his bare hand and smirks, tossing it away.
''Oh? And why is that?'' The Espada taunts them, pushing his glasses as he theorizes. ''Because Ichigo Momomiya is kept somewhere you can't reach her?''
Edward glares coldly, telling him off. ''You should worry about what will happen if Yugi or Ichigo find you for hurting their friends.''
Szayelaporro just snickers before laughing, still very calmly, as he corrects the young, little alchemist. ''I wonder if she will once Aizen-sama is done with her, little genius.''
Edward glares furious with murderous gaze, realizing he doesn't have time to fight this jerk AS BADLY AS HE WANTS TO SNAP HIS NECK OFF HIS BODY. He breathes, needing to be under control for once or else they're dead. He needs to think of a way out of here and save Ichigo before anything bad happens to her.
Two enemies have been defeated but will Ed's group survive their foe? Will they get the help they need?

I wanted to give this chapter a double character growth with Ryan and Ruby.
So yea, I gave Shadow and Kaiba the win even though Sonic could have won. It was funnier and kinda ironic that his hundred eyes couldn't keep up with frozen time.
Also gave Ryan his Rising Limit and also yes, learning of the Inner Tortoise. What can I say about this Inner Demon? It is the most defensive and peaceful of the Inner Demons. While the Inner Scorpion is the most destructive and the Inner Tiger has the greatest bottomless energy, the Inner Tortoise can both regenerate injuries and be the strongest defense too. The perfect partner for Ryan to have. And yes, not knowing of your Inner Demon isn't the same as knowing it as their abilities are further increased. It becomes more if in a perfect sync.
