The Goosefather

Everyone in the valley was sleeping right now. The warriors of the Jade Palace were already asleep. Except for one. Leo was in the library reading through a scroll. He puts the scroll back on the shelf.

There wasn't an answer in the scroll as usual. The young man was about to leave the library until he heard the door open and closed, followed by some footsteps. Leo slowly pokes his head out the doorway and saw a water buffalo thug stealing a priceless dagger. He hid behind the column and watched the thug sneaking out with the dagger.

Leo followed him into the village. He saw the thug and did a flying side kick at the thug. Leo didn't give him a chance to get up and started punching the thug's throat fast and harder with each punch. The thug couldn't make any sound escape his throat as he coughed.

Leo delivered a last palm strike across the thug's face to knock him out. He picks up the dagger and looks up to see the constable's office. Leo drags the unconscious thug inside the office and hands the thug over to Hu.

Today's a beautiful day. Leo was training in the palace arena. He's been at it since five o'clock this morning. The last two days were strange. The valley's crime seems to be going low for some reason.

"Leo." Crane calls out to his friend as Leo stops.

He turns around to him. "Yes?"

"Shifu wants you, Tigress and me to visit Constable Hu's office right now." Crane answered.

"Fine. I've been meaning to head down there to see what the hell is going on with the crime right now." Leo replied.

"Then let's go." Tigress said.

The three of them left the palace arena and arrived outside of the constable's office. Tigress knocks on the door a couple times.

"Come in."

Tigress, Crane and Leo enters inside the office.

"Hello." Constable Hu smiled, looking up from his papers.

"What's going on with the crime rate around here, Constable?" Tigress asks him. "It seems like the crime around here is not happening a lot."

"That's because Po is letting these robbers go free because they wanted to eat his father's soup." Hu stated. He glances at Leo's unconvinced look on the human's face. "But the crime rate is way down low. I've been writing it down in the past two days. Here." The elephant turns the scroll around for the three warriors to see.

"Wow. That means there's no crime in the valley." Crane read the scroll.

Tigress notices the thug was in the cell. "When did that thug came in here?"

"I stopped him last night on my way out of the library last night." Leo answered. He pulls out the dagger from behind him. "That bastard tried to make off with this last night."

"The Du Gong Dagger." Tigress looks at the dagger. "This dagger is priceless."

"Good job stopping the thug last night." Crane said as he watched Leo hands the dagger over to Tigress.

"We should report this to Shifu." Leo said to them.

After the three of them left the office, they can hear Shifu talking to Po.

"Master Shifu, it's working!"

"I seriously doubt that."

"Po's right." Tigress approaches them, getting her master's attention.

"What?"

"We just came back from Constable Hu's office. Crime in the valley is down." Crane explains to him.

"Way down." Tigress added.

"Yes, in your face, most revered noble master." Po bows to him. "But yeah!"

"Panda, this won't end well. And when it doesn't , I'm going to hold you responsible for this mess." Shifu said to him.

"You're welcome." Po smiled as he stands up and walks away from them.

"Hm." Shifu sighed.

"So what's next? Fighting arson with bean buns?" Tigress mocks Po.

The Dragon Warrior stops and turns to her. "Mock all you want, Tigress. "Crime is down and people are being fed. Personally, I don't see the downside."

Leo rolls his eyes in annoyance as the panda turns and left.

"Have you seen the Du Gong Dagger?" Shifu asks his three students.

"I have it, Master." Leo said, taking the dagger out and giving it to his master. "A thug attempted to steal the dagger last night when I was in the library last night, but he didn't get away."

"Good job, Leo." Shifu said to Leo. His students bow to him, and Leo and Tigress went to the student barracks while Crane flew down to the village.

The two walked in silence as they head over to the student barracks. Tigress clears her throat.

"Are you okay, Tigress?" Leo asked, turning his head.

"I'm fine." She replied.

"You think Po's plan will fail?"

"Yes. There's no question about it." Tigress answered.

"This is one of Po's worst plans that I have to hear." Leo growled. "Why the hell didn't he just stop the robbers instead eating with them?"

"I have no idea." Tigress rolls her eyes.

The two enters the kitchen to see Viper, Mantis and Monkey having lunch.

"So, anything new down in the valley?" Viper asks them.

"Crime in the valley is way down after Constable Hu told us." Tigress replied fixing her plate with rice and vegetables.

"After hearing what you said about Po's plan to feed the local thugs two days ago, this whole plan is going to backfire on him." Leo took a seat next to Tigress.

"We all agree on that, Leo." Viper agreed.

"Why didn't you two reminded Po that those two jackasses are thugs?" Leo asked him.

"We were fighting them until the three of them were eating together." Monkey set his cup down.

"And I'm not surprised that Po came up with that fucking pathetic plan to feed the damn local thugs two days ago." Leo swallows an apple before continuing to speak. "What the hell was he thinking?"

"I don't know, Leo." Monkey shrugs his shoulders.

"Po shouldn't trust any thugs and their promises because they mean nothing." Leo sneered.

Afte lunch, Leo, Tigress, Monkey, Mantis and Viper went over to the training hall where Master Shifu was waiting for them. Leo started training with the Gauntlet of Wooden Warriors. After several minutes of training, the doors open and Crane enters the training hall with a scroll. Tigress and the rest of the Five notices Crane talking to Shifu. The orange feline stops training and walks across the room.

She took a glance at Leo as he kept training on the wooden warriors and heard the door opens again as Po enters the room. Leo had to block and counter back before jumping over to the center of the room. The human heard Po had a problem and went to join at Tigress's side and the two walks over to them.

"According to the latest report from Constable Hu, crime in the valley has tripled since you started feeding the local thugs." Crane read from the scroll.

"Tripled?" Po's eyes widen.

"Yes, tripled." Leo folded his arms.

"Apparently, when your thugs have run out of money, they stole. Your plan has failed." Shifu said to him.

"I had to stop a dumbass thug last night that tried to make off with priceless Du Gong Dagger." Leo said.

"It's not my dad's fault!" Po exclaims.

"That's because this is your fault! Your own father has now been trading in stolen goods!" Shifu snaps at him.

"What are you going to do?"

"We're going to raid the noodle shop, take down the thugs and arrest your father, Po." Shifu said.

Po watched them walks by him and he got an idea as the panda turns around. "Wait Shifu. You're right and you got to do what you got to do."

They stop and turns to look at the Dragon Warrior. "Good." Shifu nodded.

"But they're not at the noodle shop." Po said.

"Then where are they?" Tigress asks him.

"They're at the old windmill. I heard there's a stolen shipment of "vegetables" are coming in." Po winks at them.

Shifu looks at him suspiciously.

"Honest, I swear!"

"Right, let's go." Shifu said to them as they left the training hall.

Leo approached his master's side. "Do you believe the panda, Master?" Leo asks him.

'Not entirely, Leo. We'll have to see if they are down at the mill, then we need to take down the thugs and arrest Mr. Ping." Shifu answered.

"Well, I don't believe him completely. You and the Furious Five can check out the mill." Leo said.

"What about you then?" Tigress asks him.

"I'm heading down to the noodle shop to see if they're there." Leo answered before heading to the barracks. He heads to his room to grab his diamond sword and spread his fiery wings once he got out of the barracks. The young man flew down to the village and ran on the roofs to the noodle shop.

Once he arrived at the roof of the restaurant, there were many thugs inside the restaurant including two big gorillas. He takes a peek and saw Tong Fo standing in front of the Dragon Warrior. "Tong Fo. What the fucking hell is he doing here?" Leo growls softly. "I need to wait and listen before I make a move."

"Which one of you is Ping?" Tong Fo asked, looking around. He watched his thugs step aside to reveal Mr. Ping.

"I am." Mr. Ping approaches the crime boss. "So, are you going to order something or what?"

No one said a word.

"I like your spunk, Ping. You're moxie." Tong Fo grabs the goose's hat.

"Bless you." Mr. Ping grabs his hat back. He backs away to his thug. "I'm not afraid of you, Mr. Fo. My boys will protect me."

Tong Fo watched his former men pulls their weapons out and pointed at him. "Is that right, boys?"

"We're with him now, actually." a goat replied.

"Is that right, boys?"

Leo watched the thugs shudder for a moment and turns their weapons on the goose. "So these fucking bastards are Tong Fo's henchmen. Figures."

Tong Fo snaps his fingers and a crocodile crawls on his belly to the crime boss behind him and sat on the croc while a gorilla sets a table and a chair for Mr. Ping.

"Now, take a seat, Ping." Tong Fo commanded. "There's no need for things to get ugly yet."

"Don't worry, Dad. I'll stall him." Po whispers to his father.

"I got this, son." Mr. Ping said. The goose puts his hat on and walks over to sit down. "I'll sit. I'm not scared because I'm tough. See?"

"So how did you do it, Ping? What's the secret for getting the Dragon Warrior to work for you and have my men to switch sides?"

"They just like my special soup, I guess." the goose answered honestly.

"I've so much about your soup. I would love to try some."

Mr. Ping looks at his son. "Two soups and make it quick, lacky person."

Leo watched the panda goes inside the kitchen. A few minutes later, Po came out with two bowls of soup and places them on the table before backing away.

Tong Fo picks up his bowl and began to inspect it. "Nice body. Lovely bouquet." He brought the bowl and started drinking the soup. Then he gasps, causing several of his men to gasp as well. "You!" Gray slender loris grabs Mr. Ping.

"What?! Too hot?! Not enough salt?!" Mr. Ping panic.

"Come here, you!" the slender loris hugs the goose and kissed him on the cheek. "This is the most delicious soup I have ever had. No wonder my boys switched sides, but who can blame them. Let's make a deal. I always ruled my criminal empire through fear. But it can also be ruled by this spectacular soup. With my cunning and your cooking combined, we can gather an army to sweep over China. We will rule with an iron boot and a stainless-steel ladle. That is the perfect marriage of crime; evil and soup."

"Would I retain both admission rights?"

"We split everything fifty, fifty." Tong Fo answered.

Leo watch them argue for a few seconds when they both agree everything will split down the middle. He saw Tong Fo kick Po and laughs at him. Mr. Ping chuckled and kicks his son.

"Ow. Dad." Po whispered. But he quickly covered his mouth.

"Dad?" Tong Fo repeated and looks at the goose. "You're the Dragon Warrior's father."

Leo saw Tong Fo walks behind Mr. Ping and shoves him lightly to the panda. The goose kicks his son's foot, causing him to yelp.

"I like your style, Ping." Tong Fo said as they walk away from the Dragon Warrior. "Stick with me kid, and you won't have to work in this crumby, dingy noodle shop ever again."

Mr. Ping stops. "This what?!"

Tong Fo turns around. "This dump. This dive. This-"

"No one talks about restaurant that way. The deal is off!" Mr. Ping exclaims.

Leo slowly stands up.

"That's too bad." Tong Fo said. "I had high hopes for you and your soup. End them!"

"So he can insult me and not the shop?" Po asked his father annoyed.

"Oh grow up."

Po started fighting against Tong Fo's men. He tried to block the attacks but became quickly overwhelm.

Tong Fo smiled as one of his men brought a knife to his hands. "You know, this is going to hurt you more than it's going to hurt me."

Leo quickly jumps off the roof and landed on their captors. He didn't waste a single second to cut Po and Mr. Ping's captors.

"What?!" Tong Fo gasps in surprised. Then he felt somebody kick him in the back.

"Was it going to feel something like that?" Mantis smirks behind him.

Leo saw Shifu and the rest of the Five in their stances outside of the restaurant. The human looks back at the panda and nodded. Tong Fo's men started to attack them. Leo a gorilla coming towards him with the both fists. He did a strong uppercut to the jaw and sent several palm strikes to the stomach. Monkey was dealing with a goose that he blocks with a punch and kicks him away while using his tail to slam the door at a pig that was coming from behind him.

Crane fought against a goose with nunchucks at the front entrance of the restaurant. Mantis had no trouble dodging the attacks. Viper was quick to grab a spike ball that almost got her. Shifu jumps over a water buffalo and place a finger on the thug's head that knocked him out.

Mr. ping was hiding underneath the table and saw Tong Fo approaching him with a knife.

Po stops Tong Fo. "Dad, run!"

"But Po-"

"Run!"

Mr. Ping runs out from underneath the table and headed to the kitchen.

"Not bad, Dragon Warrior. "You should have taken it when you got the chance." Tong Fo smirks.

"Then I would miss to do this!" Po yelled as he uses his belly to smack Tong Fo.

Leo saw a gorilla breaking through Tigress's defenses. The feline landed on her back. He didn't waste time by jumping and shoving her out of the way as the gorilla jumps. Leo jumps into a front flip while drawing his sword out and delivers two slices at the gorilla's forearm and shoulder. The gorilla lets out a yell in pain as he started bleeding.

Leo saw the thugs trapping Shifu and the others in a circle. He saw several thugs attacking him from all directions. Leo dodges backwards into a roll from three pig thugs. He stabs the first pig in the stomach and twisted the first pig's gut while slicing the second pig across the chest and kicks the third pig across the face hard.

"Stop!"

Everyone stops fighting and saw Mr. Ping holding his pot with a knife. "Drop those weapons or the soup gets it!"

"What are you doing?!" Tong Fo rushed over.

Leo kept his guard up.

"You think I'm bluffing? Once I destroyed this, I'll never make my special soup again!" Mr. Ping threatens them.

Then Leo realizes the goose was doing a diversion. He smirks a little.

"But Dad-"

"It has to be done, Po!" Mr. Ping exclaims. "No matter how large I'll lose the potential profit!"

"Don't you do anything crazy now!" A thug shouted.

"Oh, I'm crazy, alright?! Crazy as a crazy person!" The goose swings his knife around and started scratching his pot. "And Po?"

"Yeah, Dad?"

Before Mr. Ping can answer, Leo quickly did a knee strike a nearby rabbit thug that sent him flying above them. The masters took that as a signal as they attack back at Tong Fo and his thugs to defeat them. Leo caught the bunny by the throat and threw the thug at the wall.

Leo and the masters arrived back at the Jade Palace as Po and Mr. Ping went to prison to deliver Tong Fo and his thugs while the valuable items were returned. Tigress enters the kitchen to see Shifu and the rest of the Five brining the food over to the table. She notices her boyfriend wasn't here with them in the kitchen.

"Where's Leo?"

"Leo's at the Peach Tree Hill meditating right now." Mantis replied. "He said we could eat without him."

"Are you going to eat too?" Viper asks her.

"No. I think I'll eat later and join Leo." Tigress replied and left the kitchen. The orange feline approached the hill and saw Leo meditating at the Peach Tree. She approached her boyfriend. "Is it alright if I join you, Leo?"

Leo opens his eyes and turns his head to look up to her. "Sure." He spoke.

Tigress smiled and sits down next to him. "Thanks for saving me from that gorilla that was going to flatten me."

"I wasn't going to let someone to flatten you, Tigress." Leo said. "I apologize if I shoved you little hard."

"Don't worry about it." Tigress kisses his cheek.

"So, what the hell was so special about that soup ever since thugs started hanging out at the restaurant?" Leo wondered.

"Po's father forgot to wash out his pots and the old flavors were mixing with the new flavors. He wanted to save money on dish soap." Tigress answered him.

"Hm." Leo lets out an annoyed sigh. "Did Mr. Ping have to do that? He should've known this was going to happen. I just hope those two learned their lessons."

"I'm sure they did." Tigress replied. "Viper saved some food for the two of us when we're done meditating here."

"That's nice of her." Leo said.

"How are your injuries doing?"

Leo lifts his shirt up so she can see. The bite marks weren't as bad as before. "It's not bad."

"I wished I came with you, Leo." Tigress said, looking up to him.

"I know." Leo said gently as he places a hand on her shoulder.

They lean in and kisses each other for a few seconds before breaking up to get some air for both of them. Then the two warriors started meditating for half an hour before heading back to the kitchen.
