Author's Note: Since the last episode was an Aftermath show, there were no eliminations. Also, this will be Day 9 because Day 8 was a free day.
(Day 9)
After having a whole day to relax and not worry about challenges and eliminations, the remaining 18 All-Stars woke up, expecting the absolute worst. "Scared" by Three Days Grace was playing on the loudspeakers and everyone knew they had to mentally prepare themselves for whatever John threw at them.
(Confessional)
"So, it's been 2 days since Cody and I kissed, and everyone has been…surprisingly quiet about it. I guess they either don't care or they don't want to say the wrong thing. I know that if this was high school, the gossip would've lasted 2 weeks minimum. It's weird but it could be worse." said Noah.
STATIC
"I feel like such a terrible friend right now. I found out about Noah's kiss with Cody hours after it happened. I missed my little buddy's big moment all because I was stuck in the infirmary. I got to make it up to Noah and I know exactly how to do it." said Owen.
STATIC
"So, after a day of the silent treatment, Gwen finally started talking to me again. She acknowledged my existence! (Sigh) I just know I'm on the thinnest ice with her right now. I'm not sure what I can do to fix that." said Duncan.
STATIC
"I got a chance to hang out with Gwen yesterday and it was super cool. She was always one of my favorites, so getting a chance to talk with her felt SO AWESOME. Anyway, she told me about her relationship problems with Duncan, and…yeah, it's not great. And I don't want to be negative, but I don't think they're going to last." said Zoey.
(End Of Confessional)
Team Villainy was eating breakfast in the Spa Hotel, except for Sierra, who was chained to her bed by her teammates to keep her from murdering Noah, and Noah decided to take this moment to discuss the elephant in the room.
"Okay, is no one going to talk about me kissing Cody?" asked Noah.
"Well, we said we weren't going to make fun of you." said Duncan.
"Yeah, I mean I think it's a little odd, but I don't think it's a bad thing." said Scott.
"So, are you and Cody a thing now?" asked Gwen.
"We will be once the show is over." said Noah.
"And you're gay, right?" asked Lightning.
"I'm bisexual, as is Cody." said Noah.
"Huh?" asked Lightning.
"He likes guys and girls, Brightning. It's not rocket science." said Jo.
"What do rockets have to do with this?" asked Lightning.
"Oh my God. Forget I said anything." Noah said as he felt his brain cells disintegrating.
A moment of silence went by until someone noticed that the music used to wake everyone up was still playing outside.
"Why is that tacky music still playing outside?" asked Heather.
"Maybe John forgot to turn it off." said Scott.
"He never forgot to turn it off before. It's been playing on a loop for 15 minutes." said Courtney.
"Well, if our host won't turn it off, then I'll turn it off. I like this song, but I've had enough of it for one day." Duncan said before leaving the Spa Hotel.
(Scene Change)
Duncan walked around, calling out John's name, when he saw a laptop that was connected to the large speakers John used.
"Bingo." said Duncan.
He went to the laptop and closed it, turning off the music.
"Something weird is going on here." Duncan muttered to himself.
Suddenly, he heard someone calling his name. And that someone sounded like Zoey.
He turned around and it was indeed the red-headed indie chick.
"Zoey, you know where John is?" asked Duncan.
"Nope. None of us have seen him all morning. We haven't seen DJ either." said Zoey.
"Wait, what? He finished filming his part in Aftermath, he should be here." said Duncan.
"He's not, Duncan. We've looked everywhere." Zoey said as Duncan looked at her in confusion.
(Confessional)
"Okay, it's one thing for John to disappear, but DJ? That's not normal. Especially since I know that DJ's mom doesn't like him being late for anything. I got a bad feeling about what's going on." said Duncan.
(Scene Change)
The All-Stars were now outside, discussing what to do among themselves. Sierra, now freed from her bed, looked at Noah with murder in her eyes, while he hid behind Duncan.
"Cody Kisser." Sierra hissed while giving him a throat-slashing gesture.
"Guys, let's not panic. Panicking is the worst thing we can do. Maybe John and DJ's absences are intentional." said Gwen.
"Gwen's right; this could totally be a trick by John. Today's challenge may have started already, and we don't even know it." said Heather.
"Okay but who played the music? That's John's job." said Cameron.
"Probably one of the camera crew or something. Maybe we should ask them about John's whereabouts." said Courtney.
"I tried talking to them but none of them would say anything. They're all weirdly silent." said Zoey.
"I think that's because they signed NDAs." said Harold.
"Guys, I think I'm starting to get bad vibes from this." said Owen.
"I second that." said Cody.
"I third that." said Scott.
"Okay. Okay. Let's not go crazy here. There has to be an explanation for this." said Courtney.
"Maybe we can look around for clues or hints that John may have laid out for us, assuming what Heather said is true." said Zoey.
"Good idea, Zoey. We can split up into our teams so we can cover more ground. Duncan's team can search one side of the island, while we can search the other." said Brick.
"Sounds good to me." said Duncan.
"That all sounds great guys, but we can eat first?" asked Owen, as his stomach growled loudly.
"I thought you already ate." said Noah.
"The main lodge was locked, and we couldn't get any breakfast." said Cody.
"Someone locked the main lodge? Okay, this has to be a setup for something." said Gwen.
"Yeah, they've had no reason to lock it up. It's not like we're dealing with criminals or-" Cameron said before stopping himself from going any further when he saw Duncan's glare.
"Oh, bad choice of words. Sorry, Duncan." said Cameron.
"Whatever, geek. Let's just get into that lodge." said Duncan.
(Confessional)
"Wow, I unintentionally insulted Duncan and he didn't punch me in the face for it. I guess he's matured a little bit." said Cameron.
STATIC
"Yeah, I don't bully nerds or geeks anymore. Gwen set me straight with that when we got together. I'll still make fun of Harold's name though. Doris will always be funny to me." said Duncan.
(End Of Confessional)
The All-Stars were now at the main lodge and Team Villainy was able to see what the problem was. The door was bolted shut thanks to multiple locks being put in place. And to make matters worse, the windows were sealed shut and the glass was replaced with plexiglass, so there was no way of getting inside.
"Okay, this is ridiculous! What could possibly be behind this door that requires this many locks?" asked Courtney.
"Must be something valuable." said Harold.
"At this point, the only thing valuable to me is some food because I AM STARVING." said Leshawna.
It was at this moment that Duncan quietly snuck away, as he had his own plan for getting inside.
Suddenly, a light bulb went off in Owen's head and he said, "Guys, I just thought of something! What if we just ate at the Spa Hotel?"
"Oh yeah. Why didn't we think of that sooner?" asked Zoey.
"I hate to deflate your optimism, but you can't eat at the Spa Hotel." said Alejandro.
"We can't? WHO SAYS WE CAN'T?" Leshawna demanded.
"The rules. According to the McLean Spa Hotel policy, the cooks are only allowed to serve whoever stays at the hotel and in this case, it's us, Team Villainy." said Alejandro.
"What?! That's garbage! That can't possibly be true!" said Cody.
(Confessional)
"It is 100% true." John said with a wink.
(End Of Confessional)
"Great. So, what's the plan now? We starve?" asked Leshawna.
"We could find berries." said Harold.
"Or we could hunt!" said Owen.
"Owen, if I were you, I would greatly advise against doing such a thing." Dawn said in a low, threatening voice that sent a chill down everyone's spine.
"Or we could find berries, that works too." a terrified Owen said.
As this was going on, an idea popped into Duncan's head, and he walked away from the group.
"And where do you think you're going?" asked Jo.
"I have a plan to break into the lodge." said Duncan.
"And what exactly is that plan?" asked Courtney.
"You'll find out soon enough." Duncan said before leaving, while an annoyed Gwen looked at him.
(Confessional)
"Okay, it's almost like Duncan is trying to get on my bad side. First, he leaves me in the dark about his plan and then he completely ignores me, like I don't even exist. That is so uncool." said Gwen.
(End Of Confessional)
While Duncan was gone, the rest of the All-Stars were now discussing John and how he compared to Chris.
"So, since John's not here to see this, what do you guys think about him? I think he's alright." said Owen.
"Alright?! He was a total asshole to me. He made jokes when I was about to be crushed by a sumo wrestler." said Heather.
"Please, you're not the only one he's an asshole to. He targets me constantly. He's such a jerk." said Courtney.
"At least he's not killing us. Chris didn't care if we lived or died, all he cared about was ratings. Plus, John has made living on Camp Wawanakwa somewhat tolerable." said Noah.
"True. He's morally questionable but he cares about us more than Chris ever did." said Brick.
"No, John is the absolute worst. He kept me from being with my Codykins." said Sierra.
"For the last time, Cody WAS NEVER YOURS. He's with Noah now. GET OVER IT!" said Jo.
"Jo, it's no use talking to Sierra. You're just talking to a wall at this point." said Noah.
"And even then, a wall would be less stubborn than Sierra." said Heather.
"And less crazy." Lightning added.
"She just can't accept the reality that she can't have her Cody. Because he's MY Cody now." Noah said a smug look on his face.
That comment caused Sierra to snap and yell, "I'll kill you, Cody Kisser!", before attempting to rush Noah and attack him. Thankfully for Noah, several All-Stars came to his aid and held Sierra back from doing any harm to him.
But then out of the blue, the All-Stars heard a noise. A noise that sounded like a chainsaw. Everyone turned around and saw Duncan holding an active chainsaw.
"Now, let's get inside that lodge." said Duncan.
(Confessional)
"I'm still annoyed with Duncan, but I have to say, he did look pretty hot holding that chainsaw." said Gwen.
(End Of Confessional)
Duncan went up to the front of the lodge, next to one of the large windows, and said, "Stand back and watch me work my magic."
Duncan then proceeded to cut around the plexiglass, going through the material of the lodge like it was nothing. Once he finished cutting, all he had to do was simply push the plexiglass and it fell right over.
"Problem is officially solved." said Duncan.
The All-Stars then entered the main lodge and were surprised at what they saw. On the tables, there were numerous plates of delicious, high-quality food that made everyone's mouths water.
"Is this heaven?" asked Owen.
"No, but it's close enough." said Cody.
"Woohoo! LET'S DIG IN!" Owen yelled before rushing to the tables.
But right as he was about to gorge, Courtney yelled, "STOP! DON'T EAT ANYTHING!"
"Why? I'm hungry, man." Owen whined.
"Don't any of you think it's weird that they would keep this food away from us? It's like they expected us to break in and blindly eat it. For all I know that food could be spiked with something." said Courtney.
"I hate to say it, but Princess is right. This food looks good. Too good. And if something looks too good, you shouldn't trust it." said Duncan.
"But it doesn't look like someone tampered with it." said Owen.
"Oh yeah, Owen? You want to know what else didn't look tampered with? That pizza Chef gave us in Action. And as delicious as that pizza was, all it gave us was itchy lips, vomiting, and explosive diarrhea, and I'm not about to go through that again." said Duncan.
"Maybe we should let someone test the food. That way we know for sure if it's safe or not." said Zoey.
"I'll do it!" said Owen.
"Alright, knock yourself out, big guy." said Duncan.
Owen then sat down and grabbed himself a chicken leg. After smelling it to see if anything felt off, he proceeded to eat it. The other All-Stars observed him, wondering if there would be an immediate reaction.
After about 30 seconds, Owen said, "Seems safe to me."
"Are you sure? You're not feeling any side effects or anything?" asked Leshawna.
"No." said Owen.
"Well, Owen knows food better than anyone here, besides DJ. If he says it's safe, then I guess it's safe." said Brick.
Team Heroism then sat down to eat the food and with the exception of Duncan and Gwen, Team Villainy sat at the opposite table to either eat or talk amongst themselves.
"Duncan, we need to talk." said Gwen.
"Okay. You want to talk here or in private?" asked Duncan.
"Preferably in private." said Gwen.
"Alright." said Duncan.
The couple then went into the kitchen, so they could be away from the others.
"Okay Pasty, what's up?" asked Duncan.
"Duncan, are you ignoring me on purpose? Because that's what I feel you're doing." said Gwen.
"What? No. Of course not. Where did you get that idea?" asked Duncan.
"Earlier, when you didn't bother to tell me about your plan to get inside the main lodge." said Gwen.
"Well, I wanted it to be a surprise." said Duncan.
"You could've at least given me a hint or something. Instead, you left me in the dark. That's not cool." said Gwen.
"You're right. I should've let you know before doing it. And I'm sorry for ignoring you but I have a lot on my mind right now. This stupid show has made things so…complicated. But I'll try to give you more of my attention and not focus so much on other people, like Courtney or Scott. Do you forgive me?" said Duncan.
"I forgive you. But don't make this a habit." said Gwen.
"I'll try not to. Well, I gotta hit the can." Duncan said before leaving to take a dump in the outhouse.
Gwen went to sit with her fellow teammates, and everything seemed fine. But unbeknownst to the All-Stars, a masked man was outside the main lodge, and he was holding a gas grenade. The man pulled the pin and threw the grenade through the open hole that Duncan created. It took some time but soon everyone in the main lodge was knocked out and unconscious.
At this time, Duncan, who finished his business, went back to the main lodge to check on everybody. And to his surprise, everyone was asleep.
"What the fuck?" Duncan asked before going to Gwen and tapping her shoulder, only to discover she was unresponsive.
Starting to panic, Duncan looked around to see if anything caused this. And when he looked underneath one of the tables, he saw the grenade and his eyes widened.
He grabbed it and said, "Shit."
And right as he turned around, the masked man ambushed him and used a gas mask that was connected to a canister filled with knockout gas to knock Duncan out. Duncan tried to fight the man off, but it only took mere seconds for him to lose consciousness. The last thing he saw before his eyes closed was the masked man and someone who was right next to him. Someone with red hair. But before he could react, everything went dark.
(Scene Change)
When Duncan woke up, he didn't have a clue where he was. But what he did know was that he wasn't in the main lodge anymore. Or anywhere on Camp Wawanakwa apparently. And that he wasn't alone, as an unconscious Brick was on the floor next to him.
(Confessional)
"Ugh, so when I woke up from my gas-induced nap, I didn't know where the fuck I was. I was in this small room with metal walls, and I was lying on cold cement, with Brick next to me. I honestly thought I either got kidnapped or got thrown in jail or something. Like someone finally found out about all those DVDs I stole. Oh shit, I shouldn't have said that. You can edit that out, right?" Duncan asked.
(End Of Confessional)
Duncan quickly shook Brick awake and said, "Brick! Brick, wake up!"
A groggy Brick opened his eyes and asked, "What's going on? Where are we?"
"I don't know." said Duncan.
"Where's everyone else?" asked Brick.
"I DON'T KNOW! The last thing I remembered was that some masked guy gassed me and that was after I saw everyone asleep." said Duncan.
"We need to call for help." Brick said before spotting a door. "The door. Someone may be out there."
Duncan tried to pull the handle on the door in the back of the room, but it wouldn't budge. Out of frustration, he yelled, "HEY! WHOEVER'S OUT THERE BETTER OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!"
Duncan continuously banged on the door until the screen on the opposite side of the room turned on. This got Duncan and Brick's full attention, as the masked man appeared on the screen.
"Hello, Duncan. Hello Brick. I want to play a game. Or more specifically, I want you to complete a challenge." said the masked man.
"Challenge? Wait a minute. Is this who I think it is?" asked Duncan.
The masked man proceeded to remove his mask and reveal himself to be John.
"Surprise." John said with a douchebag smile.
"You motherfucker. You set us up!" said Duncan.
"Yes, I did. The music, locking the main lodge, the food, my absence, DJ's absence, all of that was part of the plan for today's challenge." said John.
"What about everyone else? Where are they?" asked Brick.
"You'll find out soon enough." said John.
"So, what's our challenge?" asked Duncan.
"Glad you asked. This challenge is based on a popular horror series. Can you guess what it is?" asked John.
"I don't watch horror movies, so I don't know." said Brick.
Duncan thought about it and said, "It's 'Saw', right?"
"Correct. It's like 'Saw', minus the torture, the gore, and anything that could get me arrested." said John.
"Umm, what exactly is 'Saw'?" asked Brick.
Duncan went over to Brick and whispered to him about the general premise of the Saw movies.
"Ewww! That's disgusting!" said Brick.
"Well, I think they're cool. Not my fault you're a total wimp." said Duncan.
(Confessional)
"I honestly don't get how people like horror movies so much, especially the gory ones. What's so pleasant about people getting their limbs torn off or their heads torn off or their guts torn open or-" Brick had to stop himself from talking as he felt he was about to vomit. Luckily, he was able to swallow the vomit back down.
"Yeah, they're just gross to me and I'd rather not experience them." said Brick.
(End Of Confessional)
"Now, I should mention that I didn't come up with this challenge alone. I received help from someone who's about as messed up in the head as Jigsaw. Except she doesn't kill people, as far as I know." said John.
Quickly understanding who John was referring to, Duncan said, "No."
"Oh yeah. Please welcome the Psycho Hose Beast herself, Izzy!" said John.
Izzy appeared on the screen and said, "Hi guys! How's it going? It's been so long since I've been on the show. Everything feels so different. New host, new teams, it's awesome! Oh, tell Owen and Noah I said hi!", talking a mile a minute.
Duncan and Brick looked at each other with worry in their eyes.
"We brainstormed some ideas, and she gave me PLENTY of suggestions, although I had to shoot down the ones that would either get me arrested or get the show cancelled." said John.
"And one of my suggestions was to do something from a horror movie. And then we talked about all types of horror movies. Spooky ones, gory ones, really disturbing ones, funny ones, any horror movie really. But the one we both thought would be fun to pull off was 'Saw' and we spent A LONG TIME working on it. And now here we are." said Izzy.
"What she said. Anyway, here's your challenge. Keep in mind that this challenge has more rules than the others, so pay attention. There are two doors on the opposite ends of this screen. The left door is for Brick, while the right door is for Duncan. When you enter these doors, the two of you will have to go through 7 rooms each and try to save your respective teammates. Don't worry, your teammates are unharmed." said John.
"Wait. 7 rooms? Duncan's team has 10 members, I only have 8." said Brick.
"I know. Your teammates will be locked in glass cages and for Team Villainy, two of the rooms will have multiple teammates. The only way to free them is to go through each room and complete a specific task in under 2 minutes. If you can do that, both the cage and the next door will open, and they will be able to help you through the rest of the challenge. If you fail to complete the task in under 2 minutes, the cage will remain shut, and you will be forced to continue to the next room. The one who makes it through all the rooms first wins for their respective team." said John.
"Is that all?" asked Duncan.
"No. I haven't told you the most important part yet and it would be wise for you to listen to what I'm about to say. If you think you can go through this challenge without making an effort to save anyone, think again. In the event that you lose the challenge without saving anyone, you yourself will be eliminated." said John.
That statement stunned both Duncan and Brick, as they weren't expecting a punishment that severe.
"Now here's the good news. By saving a teammate, you save yourself and that teammate from elimination. Anyone you don't save will be subject to elimination if your respective team loses. And in the unlikely scenario that you save all your teammates and still lose, then anyone can be voted off." said John.
John went silent for a few moments so Duncan and Brick could process his words.
"As you can see, this challenge is more thought out than the others. Once this screen turns off, the doors will open, and the challenge will officially begin. So, will you win and spend another night at the Spa Hotel, or will you lose and be forced to eliminate another teammate? Succeed or fail, make your choice. Good luck." John said before the screen turned off and the two doors opened up.
Not wasting time, Duncan and Brick rushed through the doors and were now separated and in different versions of Room 1, Room 1A for Brick, and Room 1B for Duncan.
In Room 1B, Duncan saw Alejandro and Heather in their cage, and they weren't happy to see him.
"You." Heather said with an annoyed tone.
"Oh great." Duncan said sarcastically.
(Confessional)
"Duncan? Really? Of all the people who could save me and Alejandro, John chose Duncan to do the job. It's like Shrek being chosen to save Princess Fiona, except Shrek is a degenerate punk who cheats. You know, Courtney did call him an ogre in the past, so the comparison is actually quite fitting." said Heather.
(End Of Confessional)
As soon as Duncan closed the door, the 2-minute timer began. Now, all Duncan had to do was figure out his task. Luckily, the task was right in front of him. And it was not what he expected.
"A…crossword puzzle?" Duncan asked no one in particular as he looked at the small screen attached to the glass cage. It was a digital crossword puzzle with 5 blank lines and right above the screen was a card. Duncan took the card and read what it said.
"What does it say?" asked Alejandro.
"Names of contestants who came back to the competition. Minus Izzy." said Duncan.
"Well, we know you're one." said Heather.
"Right. And there's also Owen, Eva, and…Courtney. Does Courtney really count?" asked Duncan.
"I guess. She wasn't supposed to compete in Action, but she forced her way back, so she counts." said Alejandro.
Duncan entered the names in the lines, which meant one blank line remained.
"Who's the 5th name?" asked Duncan.
"I…don't know." said Alejandro.
"Heather?" asked Duncan.
"No clue." said Heather.
"Well shit, I don't know either." said Duncan.
In Room 1A, Brick had to rescue Leshawna and he had the same task as Duncan, which was to solve a crossword puzzle. Although his puzzle has the same amount of lines, the card gave him different information.
"Name 5 countries that were visited in World Tour. Minus Canada." said Brick.
"5? Hmmm. Well, I know I went to Egypt, Japan, and the U.S. before I got the boot." said Leshawna.
"Okay. What else?" said Brick.
"I think I remember England, France, Greece, and China being locations. Oh, and Jamaica." said Leshawna.
"Okay." said Brick, as he entered the names of the countries, with only France, Egypt, and the U.S. being accepted.
Back in Room 1B, Duncan, Heather, and Alejandro were arguing over who the 5th name was in their puzzle.
"Okay, so if it's not Gen 1, then it must be Gen 2. But…I don't know anyone whose name starts with a D." said Duncan.
"Come on, Duncan. You were on that season." said Alejandro.
"Yeah, as a cameo against my will. I didn't give a shit about anyone there. I spent my time having fun and blowing up Chris' dumb monument." said Duncan.
"Well, it might've been helpful to LEARN SOME NAMES while you were there." said Heather.
"Oh, fuck off, you're one to talk. I know you cameoed in that season, and I bet you didn't remember any names either." said Duncan.
"Sorry, but I was busy getting the million-door case that I SHOULD'VE WON IN SEASON 3!" said Heather.
"Mi amor, relax. Yelling will not solve our problem." said Alejandro.
(Confessional)
"I love Heather. She is the greatest woman I've ever met. But she's also the most stubborn person I've ever met. Not to mention, the most bitter." said Alejandro.
(End Of Confessional)
In Room 1A, Brick and Leshawna were still figuring out the final 2 World Tour countries.
"Okay, we still need a 4-letter country." said Brick.
"I know we went to the German Alps and the next episode after that, everyone went to the Amazon and…wait. Amazon…Peru! That's the 4-letter country!" said Leshawna.
Brick entered 'Peru' in the blank line, and it was indeed the right answer.
"Alright, one more and I can get you out of there. It's 8 letters." said Brick.
"8 letters? It's probably the African country Duncan, Alejandro, Heather, Cody, and Sierra went to, but I can't for the life of me remember its name." said Leshawna.
"Crud. I think we're stumped." said Brick.
And before Duncan or Brick knew it, the 2-minute timer expired and the screen in front of them displayed a red lock.
"Shit." said Duncan.
"Duncan, you are SO DEAD!" said Heather.
Duncan's door opened and he quickly entered Room 2B.
"Sorry Leshawna." said Brick.
"It's okay. Just keep going. And make sure to save Harold." Leshawna said right as the door for Room 2A opened.
"I will." Brick said before entering the room.
Now in Room 2B, Duncan was able to see who he had to save next. His girlfriend, Gwen.
"Gwen!" yelled Duncan.
"Duncan! Why am I here? What's going on?" asked Gwen as Duncan ran up to the glass.
"It's part of a challenge. I just have to complete a task in under 2 minutes to get you out." said Duncan.
"Well, hurry!" said Gwen.
Duncan grabbed the card on top of the screen connected to the cage and read what it said.
"Find Chef." said Duncan.
In Room 2A, Brick read, "Find Chris.", on his card before looking at the screen. The task was like 'Where's Waldo', where Chris was incredibly difficult to spot on the screen.
"How hard is he to find?" asked Zoey, whom Brick had to rescue.
Brick squinted his eyes, trying to locate Chris on the screen.
"Very hard, apparently." said Brick.
Back in Room 2B, Duncan was struggling just as much as Brick when it came to his task. One would think Chef would be easier due to his larger build. But that was not the case.
"Have you found him yet?" asked Gwen.
"Damnit Gwen, I'm trying." a stressed-out Duncan said.
"Well, we're on a time crunch, so you need to figure this out soon." said Gwen.
"Gwen, just be quiet. You're not helping." said Duncan.
An offended Gwen stayed silent as Duncan continued to search for Chef.
In Room 2A, Brick by some miracle found Chris on the screen with about 30 seconds left on the clock. He selected Chris' face, and the screen displayed a green lock that was now open. The door to the glass cage opened automatically and Zoey quickly got out and hugged Brick.
"Are you okay?" asked Brick.
"I'm great. Thanks for saving me." said Zoey.
"No problem." said Brick.
"Now let's save the others." Zoey said before she and Brick went to the next room, Room 3A, where they now had to save Owen.
"Guys! What's going on?" asked Owen.
"We're here to save you, big guy." said Zoey.
Brick read on the card on top of the screen, which said, "Type in the date of the worst day in Total Drama history.", and the screen showed blank spaces for the month, day, and year.
"The worst day? Couldn't any day on this show qualify as that?" asked Owen.
(Confessional)
"The worst day in Total Drama history? That could literally mean anything. There have been so many awful days on this show, like, where do you even start?" said Zoey.
STATIC
"Yeah, that request was a little vague but it's not stupidly hard either. You just have to really think about it." said John.
(End Of Confessional)
Back in Room 2B, Duncan was still failing to find Chef on the screen, and just as when he thought he spotted Chef, it was too late, as the timer expired, and he got the dreaded red lock.
"Fuck!" Duncan swore in frustration.
The door to Room 3B opened and Duncan looked at Gwen and said, "Sorry Gwen, but I got to go."
"Wait, you're just leaving me here?" asked Gwen.
"I have to keep going. Sorry." Duncan said apologetically before entering Room 3B.
(Confessional)
"Well, I know I just earned another day of the silent treatment. Way to go, Duncan." said Duncan." said Duncan.
(End Of Confessional)
In Room 3B, he found Noah in the glass cage, and this gave him a huge dose of optimism because if he rescued Noah, the challenge would become infinitely easier.
"Noah, thank God you're next. Listen, John put everyone in glass cages, and I have to rescue you." said Duncan.
"How's it been going so far?" asked Noah.
"Not good. I screwed up and didn't save Heather, Alejandro, or Gwen." said Duncan.
"You didn't save Gwen?" asked Noah.
"It's not like I did it on purpose!" Duncan said before grabbing the note on top of the screen.
"What does it say?" asked Noah.
"Type in the date of the most important day in Total Drama history." said Duncan.
"Important? That could mean several different things." said Noah.
"Well, start thinking of dates." said Duncan.
Noah went quiet for a moment and thought about various days that could be labeled as important. Most of them were season premieres, season finales, and certain eliminations. And that's when it hit him.
"The series premiere. The air date of the 1st episode. Try that." said Noah.
Duncan put in 07/08/2007 in the blank spaces and he got the opened green lock.
"Yes!" Duncan said as the door to Noah's glass cage opened. And in a moment that went against Duncan's bad boy image, he hugged Noah with no shame.
"Dude, you have no idea how happy I am right now. You just saved both of our asses." said Duncan.
"Umm…you're welcome." a confused Noah said.
(Confessional)
"I know it's not the first time he's done this but seeing Duncan act so nice and sincere feels…strange. It's not bad, I'm just not used to it." said Noah.
(End Of Confessional)
Now with a lead against Heroism, Duncan and Noah entered Room 4B, where they found the last person they wanted to save. Sierra.
"Oh joy." said Noah.
Back in Room 3A, Brick, Zoey, and Owen were unable to figure out the worst day in the history of Total Drama and as a result, the timer expired, and they got the red lock.
"Crud. Sorry, Owen." said Zoey.
"It's okay." said Owen.
(Confessional)
"If you're curious, the day I consider the worst in the show's history was after the Season 1 finale, when Owen sacrificed his $100k for a million and caused a devastating chain reaction that led us all here. Again, it's not hard." said John.
(End Of Confessional)
The door to Room 4A opened and Brick and Zoey entered to find Cameron in the glass cage.
"Brick! Zoey! Can you please get me out of here? I've tried everything and nothing would work." said Cameron.
"Don't worry, soldier. We'll get you out of there. Zoey, what does the card say?" said Brick.
"It says, 'Solve for x' and the problem on the screen shows '7x = 266'." said Zoey.
"Really? That's so easy. 'x' is 38." said Cameron.
Zoey typed in '38' and the opened green lock appeared, and Cameron was free from the glass cage.
"Great job, Cameron!" said Zoey.
"Yeah, I would've struggled with that one." said Brick.
"No problem." said Cameron.
(Confessional)
"I rarely brag but once we freed Cameron, I knew we were going to win. Cameron's the smartest person on my team, next to Cody and Harold, so by saving him, we just guaranteed ourselves a victory." said Brick.
(End Of Confessional)
Back in Room 4B, Duncan and Noah looked at Sierra, who looked at them with contempt.
"Do you think we should rescue her?" Duncan whispered.
"No. In fact, I think we should throw the challenge." Noah whispered.
"What? Why?" Duncan replied.
"Duncan, hear me out. If our team loses, we can get everyone to vote Sierra off. Not to mention, we ourselves can't get voted off, so we literally have nothing to lose." Noah whispered.
"You're right. Let's do it." Duncan whispered before going to read the card.
The card said, 'Solve for y', and the screen showed '868/y = 28'.
"Yeah, I can't do that." said Duncan.
"Why not?" asked Sierra.
"I hate math. It was never my thing." said Duncan.
"And I could do it because I'm more of a literature guy. A total bookworm. You know that." said Noah.
"Well, I don't need your help anyway, Cody Kisser. I'd rather be trapped here than be rescued by you." said Sierra.
"Suit yourself." said Duncan.
Duncan and Noah then waited for the timer to expire, but while that was happening, Team Heroism rushed through the last few rooms, all thanks to Cameron.
Rooms 5A, 6A, and 7A had Cody, Harold, and Dawn and in no time at all, Cameron managed to free all of them. For Cody, he had to look at an optical illusion and type out what he saw. For Harold, he had to score 5,000 points in a Bejeweled-like puzzle game. And for Dawn, he had to play a memory game that used marshmallows, the symbol of survival in the game.
Once Dawn was free, Team Heroism (minus Leshawna and Owen) got through the final door and were greeted with a round of applause from John and Izzy.
"Congratulations, Team Heroism. You've won the challenge and you won it way faster than I expected." said John.
"Wait, when did Izzy get here?" asked Cody.
"I was always here. John and I set this whole thing up and knocked you all out." said Izzy.
"Yeah, what she said." said John.
Upon seeing Izzy, Cameron tensed up and hid behind Zoey and Brick.
(Confessional)
"Why did it have to be Izzy? Why? First, she was that mutant spider from last season and now, she and John abducted us for a challenge. She's a menace. A terrifying menace." said Cameron.
(End Of Confessional)
"So, what now?" asked Harold.
"We wait for Team Villainy to finish." said John.
(Scene Change)
The timer in Room 4B expired and Duncan and Noah entered Room 5B, where they found Jo and Lightning trapped in the glass cage.
"Oh great, more people I can't stand." said Noah.
"Hey! Short Legs and Bi Boy, get us out of here!" said Jo.
"Yeah, Lightning can't be trapped in a cage. You can't contain the Lightning!" said Lightning.
"Relax, we'll get you out. Hopefully." Duncan said before reading the card, "Type out what you see on the screen."
Duncan and Noah looked at the screen and saw an optical illusion, but they weren't sure what they were exactly looking at.
"The hell is this?" asked Duncan.
"Whatever it is it's messing up my vision." said Noah.
"It's moving but it's not. It's so weird." said Duncan.
"Can you guys hurry up?! Whatever you're looking at can't be that hard!" asked Jo.
"Yeah, if Lightning wasn't in this cage, we would've solved this already." said Lightning.
"You can't even solve a basic math problem." Noah fired back.
"Lightning sure can solve some math." said Lightning.
"Okay, what's 9+10?" asked Noah.
"It's…uh…Jo, help me out here." said Lightning.
(Confessional)
"How Lightning got as far as he did last season is a mystery not even Hercule Poirot can solve." said Noah.
(End Of Confessional)
Soon enough, the 2-minute timer expired, and Duncan and Noah moved on to Room 6B, where they found Duncan's ex, Courtney.
"Duncan? Noah?" asked Courtney.
"Surprised to see me, Princess?" asked Duncan.
"Stop calling me that. You lost that privilege when you hooked up with Gwen." said Courtney.
"It's a hard habit to break." said Duncan.
Noah read the card and said, "Get 5,000 points in this game."
The screen showed a game that looked quite a bit like Bejeweled.
"Oh, this will be easy." Noah said as he started the game.
While Noah was playing, Duncan and Courtney engaged in extremely awkward small talk.
"So…how's school?" asked Duncan.
"Why do you care? You probably want me to flunk out and crash and burn." said Courtney.
"Courtney, just because I don't like you, it doesn't mean I want you to fail in life." said Duncan.
"Well, since you're so curious, I'm doing quite well in school. I was valedictorian, obviously, I performed spectacularly on my LSATs, and I'm going to be attending one of the most prestigious law schools in the country." said Courtney.
"Nice. Glad you have a strong future. What about your folks? How are they doing?" asked Duncan.
Courtney didn't respond, which confused and worried Duncan.
"Courtney?" asked Duncan.
"I don't want to talk about it." said Courtney.
"Is something going on?" asked Duncan.
"I SAID I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT!" yelled Courtney.
"Okay. Okay. Sorry. I struck a nerve. I'll drop it." said Duncan.
And just before things got more awkward, Noah achieved the 5,000 points he needed, and Courtney's cage opened.
Courtney exited the cage and looked at Duncan and Noah before awkwardly saying, "Thanks. Now let's keep going."
Duncan, Noah, and Courtney soon entered Room 7B, where they saw Scott chilling in his cage.
"Scott!" said Courtney.
"Courtney?" asked Scott.
"Scott, we have to get you out of here." said Courtney.
"I don't know. Should we?" asked Duncan.
"Free him or I'll expose your deepest secrets on international TV." said Courtney.
"You wouldn't." said Duncan.
"Try me." said Courtney.
Not wanting to take any chances, Duncan sighed and said, "Fine. Noah, save Scott."
Noah read the card, which said, "Remember the order of the marshmallows."
He looked at the screen and there were 5 marshmallows and a green button on the bottom left corner that said 'Start'. He pressed the button and in an instant, the marshmallows began to flash in a particular order. Noah only needed one try as he correctly tapped on the marshmallows in the right order, which gave him the green lock.
"Done." said Noah.
Scott got out of his cage and the four got through the last door and saw John, Izzy, and most of Team Heroism waiting for them.
"Took you long enough." said John.
"Wait. How long have you been waiting there?" asked Scott.
"About 5 minutes." said Cody.
"OH, COME ON!" Courtney complained.
"Team Heroism wins! And gets to stay in the Spa Hotel tonight. Villainy, I'll see you at the campfire later tonight." said John.
"Hi, Noah!" Izzy said before rushing over to hug Noah tightly.
"Hi, Izzy." Noah said while in severe pain.
"Congrats on you and Cody hooking up. Like seriously, what took you guys so long?" said Izzy.
"Thanks, Izz." said Noah.
(Confessional)
"As batshit insane as Izzy is, it was nice seeing her again. Hopefully, Eva has kept her in check since I've been here." said Noah.
(Scene Change)
Team Villainy sat around the campfire and waited for John to start the ceremony.
"Okay, before we start voting, as a result of how the challenge played out, the following people are safe from elimination. Duncan, Noah, Courtney, and Scott." said John.
"Wait! You saved Courtney but you didn't save me?!" Gwen asked Duncan.
"Gwen, it wasn't intentional. I swear. Plus, I didn't want both of you pissed at me." said Duncan.
Gwen scoffed and said, "Whatever."
"Oof. That was…uncomfortable. Let's start voting, shall we?" said John.
(Voting Booth)
"See you later, Stalkerlicious." Noah said before checking off a contestant.
STATIC
"Is this supposed to be a hard choice?" Jo asked before checking off a contestant.
STATIC
"Sure, Gwen and I are mortal enemies and Jo annoys me greatly, but I've personally had enough of Little Miss Creepshow." Heather said before checking off a contestant.
STATIC
"As much as I want to check off Duncan's name out of spite, I need to think logically about who we should get rid of." Gwen said before checking off a contestant.
STATIC
"Stupid Noah! Stupid John! STUPID SHOW!" Sierra yelled before aggressively checking off a contestant and throwing the clipboard at the camera.
(End Of Voting)
"And…okay then…for the first time this season, the decision is unanimous. With 10 votes, the contestant going home is (cue dramatic pause) Sierra." said John.
"Good. I don't want to be here anymore. You guys are all so mean to me." said Sierra.
"You did it to yourself." said Noah.
Sierra growled at Noah and attempted to tackle him, but several interns stopped her before she got the chance to attack.
(Scene Change)
Sierra was now being carried to the helicopter by 4 interns, as she struggled to get herself free.
"NO! I HAVE TO SAY GOODBYE TO CODY! MY CODYKINS!" Sierra yelled as she burst into tears.
No one showed her the slightest bit of sympathy as her former teammates watched her cry.
She was then thrown into the helicopter and quickly flown away from the island.
"Finally! I can sleep comfortably tonight." Noah said before walking off.
But right as he was about to enter the Guys' cabin, DJ went up to him and said, "Hey Noah. Owen wants to meet you outside the Spa Hotel."
"What for?" asked Noah.
"It's a surprise that I may or may not have had any involvement in." DJ said before leaving.
"Hmm. Better see what it is." said Noah.
(Scene Change)
Noah made his way to the Spa Hotel and saw Owen outside with a box in his hands.
"Okay. Interesting." said Noah.
"Hey, buddy! Did you get the message from DJ?" asked Owen.
"Yes, I did. Now, what exactly is this all about?" asked Noah.
"Well, I know you and Cody kissed 2 days ago but I was in the infirmary when it happened. And it sucked because I missed what was probably the best moment of your life. So, I wanted to make it up to you." said Owen.
"And how will you do that exactly?" asked Noah.
"With this." Owen said before giving Noah the box.
Noah quickly opened the box, and it turned out to be a cake. A cake that had pink, purple, and blue frosting, the bi-flag colors. And in the middle, it said 'Congrats', written in white frosting.
"I asked DJ if he could make it yesterday and he was super happy to do so." said Owen.
"Owen…I…I love it. Thank you." Noah said with tears threatening to come out of his eyes.
"No problem. Anything for my little buddy." said Owen.
And in a move that surprised Owen, Noah set the cake down and hugged him.
"Thank you." Noah said as he and Owen hugged.
From a distance, John looked at the camera and said, "Aww. Now that's something that'll warm even the coldest of hearts. So, the Obsessive Uberfan is gone, and I don't think anyone will miss her. I know I won't. Not to mention, it seems Duncan and Gwen's relationship is starting to deteriorate. Will it get worse before it gets better? Find out next time on Total Drama All-Stars."
Hope you enjoyed the chapter. This chapter turned out to be more complicated than I expected which is why it took me 2 months to write it, instead of 1. Coming up with a 'Saw' parody was easier in my head than actually typing it out but I think it turned out okay. Plus, it's topical, as Saw X is coming out next week. So, Sierra is gone. I was pretty much done with her character, so it was time for her to go. I also planted seeds for future chapters when it comes to certain characters (Duncan, Gwen, and Courtney). The next chapter will feature a past challenge (well, part of a past challenge) that revolved around Rock and Roll, so stay tuned. Other than that, I hope you all have a wonderful day. Bye for now and stay safe.
