In books and stories, magical beings have teachers or schools who can educate them on the proper usage and control of their magic. It was a privilege to have magic, and an honor to properly wield such magic. But not all are blessed with this privilege for two young girls would understand what it truly means to have control. They are princesses, yes, but the hardships and trauma they would endure would break any individual with or without magic.

Elsa was securely tucked in bed enjoying the comforts of her dream world. A land of chocolates as far as she can see. Rushing into the chocolate pond with her sister. Both laughing, eating and just plain being kids and having fun. Anna even had mastery over her control of fire. She would burn off a part of the chocolate tree ready to be eaten by both princesses.

Elsa was soon disturbed from her peaceful slumber when she heard her sister thrashing and screaming. She quickly got out of bed and was greeted by a horrible sight. Flames were covering half of their room, and her little sister was in the middle trying to contain it. She cautiously moved her hand near the flame trying to assess its temperature. They say the caster can control the heat of their flames, they can dictate whether it would burn or not. Maybe just maybe this time she won't hurt me. Elsa thought to herself only to pull back as the flames were indeed hot.

"Elsa, help." The panicked voice of her little sister brought worry to the older girl. "I-I don't know what to do. I might burn the house down." Half of their room was indeed on fire now. Oddly enough the flames on the walls don't seem to burn. Or maybe hasn't started yet. That was the least of her worries now.

"It's okay, Anna, just calm down I'm here." She said in the most calming manner she could mutter.

Their parents entered the room and quickly found the mess. "Not again! told you to contain those blasted magic of yours. Do you want to bring Arendelle to ruin?" Their father was beyond enraged. He was an ordinary man with no magic, no weird flames suddenly engulfing the room, no nothing. Just an ordinary man in-charge of running their kingdom. "Stop this madness right now or I'll…"

"She's trying!" Elsa shouted at their father wanting him to leave. She looked at her sister again, concerned for her safety. "Just calm down and relax." She took a step forward and though the flames were starting to burn her skin, she continued to take baby steps. "I'm coming to get you, just relax."

"Elsa no. That's dangerous. Just let your father handle this." Their mother voiced her concern.

"No! I won't let him hurt her." The heat was becoming unbearable now. A sudden burst of fire erupted hitting Elsa's right arm. The instant the fire reached her arm she used her magic over to ice to stop it from doing any more damage. She wanted to avoid using her magic in a way to prove to her family that her little sister's control could be dealt with by any normal person. But that is not the case, that cannot be the case. She can feel the rage building up in their father. It was only a matter of time before he hurt her little sister and that is not something she would allow.

"Hey, Anna, I'm coming to get you." Elsa cloaked herself with ice to try and minimize the damage those flames would cause. Of course, it would be better if the damage could be avoided altogether.

As she took another step, panic appeared on her little sister's face. "No don't come… I don't want to hurt you."

She smiled at her sister to reassure Anna that everything was going to be fine. "You won't hurt me. Don't worry."

Without wasting any more time Elsa rushed into the flames and the moment she did the fire became stronger soon covering the entire room. Both of their parents stood outside just waiting for the outcome. This wasn't the first time, Elsa calmed her sister's flames there should be no problem, right?

Anna saw her beloved older sister rush to her and panic quickly raised. She didn't want to hurt her; her entire body was engulfed in flames and anyone who would touch her would surely get hurt or worse. Knowing her older sister, she would take the risk and probably hug her to try and calm her down.

To Anna's horror, her sister did just that. Slight hissing can be heard, her sister's ice cover must have started to melt. Anna tried to push her sister away but the older girl just hugged her tighter. "Shhh… it's okay it doesn't hurt. What hurts me is your reaction. You're scared. Don't be. I told you; you won't hurt me." Elsa tried to maintain a calm tone, hiding her pain. Her ice protection was slowly melting and she refused to reinforce it fearing she'd fuel her sister's worry.

"Let me go, I know you're hurting, please. I don't want to..."

Elsa just hugged her tighter, ignoring the pain surrounding her body. She was lucky this wasn't an ordinary fire or she would have been burnt to a crisp, that is assuming she doesn't reinforce her ice protection. "I told you, I'm fine. The only reason you're hurting me is because of your fear. Please just calm down." Elsa can ignore the physical pain she's experiencing, but she cannot ignore the pain she feels whenever her sister is distressed.

The ice protection on her arms has almost completely vanished by now providing little to no protection and Anna knows this. She knows her sister must be in so much pain hugging a ball of fire. No matter how hard she pushed or convinced her sister to move, Elsa just knelt in front of her and continued hugging her tighter, ignoring the damage her little sister was doing to her. "At-at least put some ice protection. That way you could at least avoid getting hurt."

"And risk you getting frostbites? I don't think so. Remember after episodes like these you're too sensitive to the cold." She finally let go opting to place both her hands on top of her sister's and keeping her at arm's length. "We're inside the fire and I'm not combusting. That's you having control."

Anna sniffed and started to calm down. "The only reason you're not combur, combi, com…" She tried to rack her little brain on what the term was focusing her attention only on that. Elsa smiled at this as the flames in the room died down. Sure, there were some items left burning but it was easily put out with some of her magic. She let snow fall on the surfaces killing the fire in the process. Now the only one on fire is her sister. That she could handle.

"Combust." Elsa helped her.

"Yeah that… is because of your magic. I still have no control."

Elsa smiled even further if that was possible. "No? Then look around."

Anna's eyes widened in amazement. "They're gone? How do you keep doing that?"

"That's not me, that's all you, little one. Now focus and let your flames completely die down. I'm here and I won't let you go." She reassured her baby sister as their parents entered the room eyeing them both. "Breath, one inhale. Two. Three exhales. Again. There we go see all done."

Once again Elsa hugged her baby sister who immediately fell asleep out of exhaustion. She wanted to carry her to their new room, but she too was already tired.

"How can an eight-year-old child calm down a five-year-old kid?" Their mother absentmindedly asked her eldest daughter.

"She was just scared. I just needed to calm her down." Elsa soon crashed on the floor in a sitting position not having any energy to move. She cradled her little sister afraid of what their father would do.

"I am Arendelle's king, an ordinary man. Now I have two daughters with magic?" He angrily looked at his wife. "You just had to be born from a magical kingdom? You never knew you could have powers?" Angrily scratching his head, the king violently left the room. "Magic, without magic, they're all monsters if you ask me…." He continued ranting but no one in the room could hear him anymore.

"Does papa hate us that much?" Elsa was called a monster by her father. Of course, she was hurt, try as she might to hide this fact, she was still hurt.

"Not you sweetheart. You know how much he hates magic. He believes that people magic will only abuse it. He just can't understand that the magic is a gift. He'll come around."

Elsa huffed loudly trying to hide her hurt. "Well, he can hurt me as much as he wants. But I won't let him hurt Anna. Not if I can help it." She hugged her little sister closer.

"You shouldn't say things like that sweetheart. He shouldn't hurt either of you."

"He already did. Countless times when he wanted me to learn control. I won't let Anna go through the same thing."

For an either-year-old child, Elsa was overly protective of her little sister. She loved Anna dearly and would do anything to make sure she was happy and safe. Her mother noticed and can't help but adore her eldest. "Let me get you two to your new room. We'll have Gerda. Take a look at your wounds and have them treated, okay?"

Elsa nodded and followed her mother to their new room. She waited for Anna to be put down and inspected her little sister for any injuries. Just a small scratch on her check nothing too serious but should be looked at.

Their mother left to look for their servant and caretaker, Gerda. A few minutes later, a knock on the door was heard. "Come in." Called from the inside.

Gerda, entered the room bringing with her the first aid kit. She settled down her things at the nearby table and picked-up antiseptic and bandages.

Gerda was stopped when she decided to walk to Elsa's bed. "Treat her first please."

"But princess, your wounds might get…" She shouldn't scare the little girl. "It hurts right? We need to treat it."

Elsa nodded. "Yes, after my sister. I am aware of the consequences and I'm fine with that. She has a small cut on her cheek and it looks like it's bleeding. Please tend to it first." She begged their nanny. At this point, it was clear to both of them that Elsa will never allow herself to be treated unless her sister was completely okay. An incident similar to this happened before. Elsa was seriously injured but she refused to get medical treatment until she was sure her little sister was completely treated. Elsa just loved her little sister dearly.

Gerda proceeded with Anna's quick treatment then Elsa and left the room. Their mother was watching from the doors the entire time and thanked the servant once she left. She soon entered and tucked both girls in bed. Given how exhausted Elsa was, it took her a mere 15 seconds to finally doze off into dreamland hoping to once again dream of the land of chocolates
