Before arriving at the docks near the sea, the four turtles, including Wick decided to stop to wash the mud off of their skin at the nearby spring.

"How is it that I got the most mud on me in that battle?" complained Rain, clearing the caked on mud off his brow.

"My question is how did you know when to drink your potion?" asked Ixnus, looking Erigg, still wearing his white cloak.

"I just knew." answered Erigg, not sure of the answer himself.

"Why haven't it wore off?" asked Leo "If the effects of it lasts for that long why only drink them when we need them?"

"I don't know." answered Erigg.

"Whatever the reason I feel like drinking mine right now." said Rain, finishing up his bath "Who else is with me?"

"No." answered Leo "We were told to wait until we truly needed them. I think that would be wise."

After almost twenty minutes our heroes reached the docks and paid for a ride across the ocean. Once inside the cozy ship they each picked their places and set sail.

That night in the hull of the ship, the turtles stayed awake to talk about their next destination.

"Once we reach shore we should immediately head east." Ixnus informed.

"Will there be anymore traps?" asked Rain.

"Possibly." sighed Ixnus "So be on your guard."

"Leo, are you getting all of this?" asked Rain, looking back at Leo, who seemed to have been in a daze "Leo?"

"I'm sorry." responded Leo, shaking himself out of his thoughts.

"What are you thinking about?" asked Wick.

"I'm still wondering about that pendant." lied Leo.

"Pendant?" questioned Ixnus.

Leo pulled the pendant from the bag on his belt and slid it across the table to Ixnus.

"Some witch had it." said Leo, sitting in the wooden chair across from Ixnus.

"I see." said Ixnus, taking a closer look at the pendant.

"The only thing we know so far is that apparently it was used in rituals to receive blessings from a water spirit." explained Rain.

"Not A water spirit, THE water spirit. Ari to be exact." corrected Erigg.

"I've seen the pond this pendant came from." said Ixnus, handing the pendant back to Leo "But I cannot remember the exact location."

"UUURRRGGHHH!!!"

The five turned their heads to the direction the screaming had come from.

"That sounds like the captain." said Wick.

They rushed out of the hull as quickly as possible and soon came face to face with a mountainous sea creature with tentacles shooting out of the water.

"Where's the captain?" asked Erigg, before hearing the screams of the captain coming from above.

One of tentacles wrapped around the ship captain's throat, holding him high above the ship.

"We need to save him!" said Rain, readying his club.

"I'll take care of it." said Erigg, creating a sheet of ice below his feet and flying towards the monsters tentacle.

Erigg prepared a fire and ice spell in both hands, but before he could blast the tentacle to save the captain another tentacle arose, knocking Erigg back to the ship.

"OW!!!"

"Erigg!" shouted Leo, running to Erigg with the others following behind.

"My leg!" screamed Erigg "It hurts!"

"Rain, carry to the cabin!" Leo ordered "Ixnus, Wick and I will handle this!"

Rain picked Erigg up and hurried back into the ship as Leo and Ixnus prepared for battle.

"Leo, I don't have any weapons, what should I do?" asked Wick.

"Try to steer the ship!" commanded Leo as a tentacle came swooping down at his head.

"Watch out!" called Ixnus, slicing the tentacle with his staff before it reached Leo's head.

As the battle began Wick hurried to the wheel and tried to steer the ship out of the monster's grip, but it was no use. The monster's tentacles squeezed harder each time the ship would budge.

"Leo!" shouted Wick "The ship is tearing apart!"

"Head inside and take care of Erigg!" commanded Leo, slicing another two tentacles.

After losing it's third tentacle the first one that had been sliced suddenly sprouted back.

"It grew back!" said Leo in shock.

"Then that means we need to cut them quicker." said Ixnus.

"This thing is quick." said Leo, cutting another tentacle as it came at him.

"Yes, and it's keeping most of it's tentacles underwater."

The beast slung it's tentacles at Leo and Ixnus again, all of them getting cut off and grown back. Before long Ixnus realized he needed to be a lot quicker than the monster's regeneration.

"Ixnus?!?" shouted Leo, watching Ixnus run to the side of the ship and dive off.

As Leo watched in awe, the monster wrapped one of it's slimy tentacles around Leo's ankle and hoisted him up.

"AHH!!!" screamed Leo, swinging his katana blades at the other tentacles trying to grab him.

Leo felt himself beginning to tire, but then he looked at the water below where Ixnus had dived. A bright light peeled through the dark blue waves and out leaped Ixnus, clad in a white ninja suit lined with purple. Ixnus moved from one tentacle to another, slicing up each one before it could grow back. Leo watched, shaken by the sudden movement as Ixnus laid the final blow to the monster's head, killing it instantly.

"Wow..." panted Leo, after dropping down to the ship.

Ixnus dropped down to the ship in front of Leo, dusting off his hands.

"You drank your potion?" said Leo.

"I did."

"How did you know you needed it."

"To be quite honest... I didn't. I just drank it to defeat that beast."

"Strange."

"How so?"

"Almost every beast we've fought so far required a certain skill to be enhanced by the potions. It's as if we're being tested."

"Tested? By whom?"

"I'm not certain. But whatever these tests are for I believe they will lead us to where we need to go."

Leo looked down at the pendant in his hand and wondered.

"My lord."

"Hun... what news do you have for me this time?"

"They are coming near the shore. If they land then it will be three days before reach us."

"Then go from me. Go and do as you must."

"I await your commands my lord."

"A village… there is a village beyond this place. Go there… destroy it."

"Yes my lord."

"And Hun, before you leave, before you reach the village make a trek up the mountain nearby. Awaken the Purple Dragon."
