This chapter will contain a bit of a crossover with Doom Patrol, since I recently started watching it, though I didn't love it, so it probably won't get its own story and do not expect most of the characters to show up in it or this series in general. I just thought that this particular character might fit in well with this story. That doesn't mean they'll never show up, but if they do, it'll never be in a permanent, main role and will likely be minor. I hope you like it.

Ramsey Rosso was currently continuing his research into a cure for HLH that he'd begun at McCulloch Technologies, before the new CEO Jesse McCulloch had fired him for performing what she considered to be unethical experiments in his pursuit of eternal life, plus, numerous complaints she'd found from his coworkers about him apparently being creepy and she was sure that he'd been attempting to hack into files beyond his clearance level and even attempting to hack into her private server for files that could help him escape death. His personnel file had described him as obsessed, potentially bordering on unstable in his alleged proof of immortality and he had not helped his case when Jesse had been forced to have McCulloch Security throw him out due to his outburst. He'd only just been able to steal back his research, since she claimed that what he had accomplished there was technically McCulloch's property, since that had been written into his contract by Jesse's father, no doubt so that he could steal his work in a legal way now that Ramsey thought about it.

Anyways, after he'd been booted from McCulloch Technologies, Ramsey had set up a new private lab in Keystone to continue his research, though he was making far less progress than he had before, since he no longer had the funding and resources of McCulloch to help further his research. But he wouldn't let that stop him. He would find the key to unlock immortality, no matter what.

However, he was pulled from his thoughts when he heard someone enter his lab.

"Who are you and how did you get in here?" Ramsey asked as the stranger, a tall man with graying hair and a beard and mustache walked in.

"My name is Dr. Niles Caulder." the man introduced himself.

"And what can I do for you Dr. Caulder." Ramsey asked.

"It's what I can do for you actually. I want to help fund your research." Niles said.

"Really?" Ramsey asked, giving him his full attention.

"We share a common goal in our pursuit of immortality. I myself have attempted some interesting experiments in the quest and I'm always interested in pursuing other avenues. It is a shame that Jesse McCulloch is too short sided to understand the importance of your work." Niles said.

"On that we agree. Had I been allowed to continue at McCulloch, I quite possibly could've discovered a cure for death itself." Ramsey said.

"Intriguing." Niles said, though he had to admit, he was a little unnerved by Ramsey's drive, though considering what he'd done himself, he wasn't in any position to judge.

"You're really interested in my work?" Ramsey asked.

"I am and I'll fund it on the condition that you share your research with me so that I can see where my money is going and so that I can see if my own science can do anything to help it." Niles said, wondering if maybe Ramsey's research could help him maybe make some adjustments to his own patients.

"Could I see your research, see if I could make it work?" Ramsey asked.

"No." Niles said and Ramsey sighed, but nodded, since he wasn't in any position to turn away any kind of funding for his research. Funding he desperately needed if he was going to continue his research.

"Can I at least ask why you're so interested in my research?" Ramsey asked.

"Let's just say that I need more time than what's currently on my clock at this moment." Niles said and Ramsey nodded, deciding not to push him any further.

"Thank you for funding my research." Ramsey said as they continued to talk.
