Hello everyone and welcome back! I've got chapter 7 prepared for you guys, so please buckle your seat belts and enjoy.

I know I've done it many times, but another shout out to MR.D0VE! You have supported me in this story even when I thought I quit, and that's why I continued. I am now dedicating this story to MR.D0VE for his continuing support. Thank you.

Without further said, read on, I know you want to!

Chase was confused. How was he worthy of the knowledge if he'd never heard of Spinjitzu? I guess that was why he was worthy of learning it.

Sensei Wu described to Chase the form of Spinjitzu, and while he was doing this, Chase tried to imagine what Spinjitzu would look like in action.

Sensei Wu then got Kai to demonstrate, which he gladly did. His Spinjitzu was all fiery and orangish-red. Chase knew that each individual ninja had a different appearance to their Spinjitzu, based on their elemental power and its appearance.

He was fascinated to no end by this undiscovered form to himself.

Chase decided to take a break from studying scrolls of Spinjitzu, so he walked outside and sat by the pond. Ever since recently, he had begun to feel a very slight connection to the pond. But it wasn't just the pond.

Everywhere with water present had an unnatural sense to it, as if it was being pulled towards him and he had to push back into its rightful place.

Chase closed his eyes and focused his mind intently on the water. He raised his hands slightly over the water and began to move them in strange whirly motions.

When he opened his eyes, Chase saw something. At first, he thought it was his imagination, but since it was a completely windless day, it couldn't have been. Although it was crazy out of this world, Chase thought he'd seen the water ripple. At his command.

He racked his brain, in search of any information that might tell him something of this strange motion.

Then he had an idea. Nya was the master of water, maybe she had some answers.

He got up and was about to enter the bounty entrance when a flock of ninja came out of it. Kai, Jay, Nya, and Zane all exited the bounty with cleaning supplies and rolled-up sleeves.

"What's going on?" Chase asked, clearly confused.

"We're on cleaning duty. We've got to clean the whole outside of the bounty," Kai explained, groaning audibly as he filled a bucket of water in the tap.

"Yeah, too bad Cole and Lloyd aren't back yet. It'd go a lot faster if they were here," Jay added, fishing out a bottle of soap from the bottomless tub of cleaning supplies.

"Shouldn't they be back by now?" Chase asked, worry illuminating his skinny features.

"Nah, they're supposed to be gone until dusk," Kai said. He dumped a mop in a bucket full of soapy water and began to scrub the sunbaked wood of the bounty.

"Yeah, but we'll manage," Nya said, trying to be optimistic in this slightly negative energy.

"According to my calculations–" Zane started but was cut off by Jay.

"Yeah, yeah, Zane, according to your calculations it'll take us blah blah years to finish cleaning this heap of wood without Lloyd or Cole," Jay said with a slight agitation in his voice, finger quoting the words "according to your calculations."

"It'll take us six hours, forty-two minutes, and twenty-five seconds to finish our duties," Zane finished, his voice quieter and more incoherent. Everyone ignored him, not wanting to think about all this free time wasted.

Chase watched them as they set to work, mopping the sides, deck, roof and railings of the bounty.

He nearly forgot what he was originally seeking them for. He only remembered when they were about three-quarters of the way done.

He tentatively walked up to Nya, who was cleaning the lower deck with her mop, and wordlessly grabbed the soaked sponge floating in the soapy water bucket she was using. He got down on his hands and knees and helped her clean the deck. This was an attempt to make the near futuristic conversation not seem so awkward and abrupt.

"So…Nya," he started, kicking himself on the inside for his awkward conversation starter.

"Hmm?" She lifted her head and made eye contact with him, which made him rather uncomfortable for some inexplicable reason.

He quickly ducked his head but continued talking. "I wanted to ask you something."

"Sure. Shoot." She resumed her mopping, which she had momentarily stopped to listen to Chase.

"Well, you see, um…" he stammered, struggling to find words. "I'm not quite sure how to say this."

Nya looked curious now, partly because he was struggling to say what he wanted to say, meaning that it was important, but also because he came to her instead of any of the others. "Go ahead, I'm listening." And she truly was.

So Chase decided to find his voice. "I think–I think I have a connection to water." That did it. Nya immediately dropped her mop and stared at Chase for a long moment.

"It's not quite as strong as yours," he said hurriedly. But she looked stunned for another reason.

"B-but," she stuttered, "there can only be one master of water at a time."

"I didn't say I was a master. I don't even know if I was imagining it or what, but I felt something by the pond. I feel something everywhere there is water."

Nya had completely forgotten about cleaning and was only listening to Chase.

So he continued. "But see, I can't really control it, maybe make it ripple a little. But something else happens too. Whenever I'm touching water, and someone else is touching the same water, I can hear their thoughts, and I can see them on the water's surface."

Nya doesn't say anything for a while. "That's–that's rather unusual," she said finally and very slowly. "I'll have to ask Sensei, but I don't think there has ever been someone with that power. That's like mind and water powers mixed, somehow." Her eyebrows creased together in deep thought for a long while. "I could maybe teach you to control the water a bit, if you can."

"Sure, that'd be great. I don't really like the weird sensation I get around water."

"Yeah, believe me, I used to get that too."

"And you don't anymore?"

"Well, I'm pretty sure I do, but I'm so used to it that I guess I can't really tell." Chase nodded.

"How long have you been feeling these strange sensations around water?"

"I don't know. Very recently. Within the time span that I've been here with you guys. Maybe it has something to do with being around a lot of elemental energy. You know, because all of you are elemental masters?"

"Hmm, I like that theory. Let's ask Sensei, he might have some proper answers," Nya suggested.

"Good idea." They both agreed to do so, but they finished cleaning first.

Around forty-five minutes later, the bounty was spotless on the outside, but on the inside…well that was another story.

Zane was excused from the cleaning early to cook, although he'd done three times the amount of work than everyone else in half the time they had.

By the time everything was clean, dinner was served, but Nya said she needed to do something first, which was to explore Chase's powers further.

They walked to the pond and sat down. Chase tried to demonstrate what he'd done earlier, but for some reason, nothing was happening.

"It only works sometimes," Chase explained, slightly embarrassed that she was skipping part of dinner to watch him basically do nothing. "I feel like the sensation isn't quite as strong right now."

"That's basically how I always feel," Nya said. She stood up and assumed her water stance, motioning for him to copy her movements. He did, with effort and a bit of difficulty.

She easily controlled the pond water, making it ripple and sway, and go up in small waves. He attempted to do the same, but to no avail.

After a few more tries, both of them gave up and sat back down, heads in their hands and arms on their knees, thinking.

Then Nya perked up, seeming to have remembered something. "How about we test out that strange mind-water power you seem to have?" she suggested.

Chase also perked up. "Sure." He knew that he could not fail this one, since he could not control it.

He dipped his hand in the water, and Nya did the same. Chase stared at the reflection of the pond. Smoothly, as if edited to do so, words began laying themselves on the surface of water, along with animated images. These were Nya's thoughts.

"What am I thinking?" Nya asked, leaning over.

Chase took a deep breath, feeling slightly guilty for invading her privacy, although she did technically ask for this. "You're thinking about the time when you reached your true potential and saved everyone from the Preeminent. You're also thinking about how hot Jay is–" At this, Nya blushed slightly– "and you don't want to admit it, but you think he has cool dance moves." At that, Nya's blush darkened evidently.

But then she said, "Correct."

Hey, so I hope you enjoyed the chapter. I know I just updated so this chapter feels kinda short, but I don't know when I'll get the chance to update again soon, so I'm giving it to you early. Hope you liked it. I'm adding a few twists if you haven't noticed. The truth of Chase's powers is slowly being revealed, so hold your horses, it all will be up there eventually. Anyway, please review. Thank you MR.D0VE, you do two things for me. You support me and you set an example for others, which I appreciate greatly. Thank you for reading and have a nice day or night, whichever time zone you're in!

See ya next time.
