"I'm going to go for a quick hunt, Jazz. I'll be back soon."

"Would you like me to join you?" Jasper asked, setting his book on the table beside his chair.

"No, that's alright. I'll only be gone for 30 minutes. I just need to fill up before Rose and I go shopping in the morning," Alice reassured him, leaning over the side of the chair and kissing him deeply.

Too soon, she pulled away, gently nipping Jasper's bottom lip with a sly grin. A playful growl rumbled in his chest as he reached for her. Alice spun away from his grasp, yelping in surprise when she felt herself being pinned against the door, her hands held above her head.

"You know, darlin'," he started, "we could just stay here and finish what you just started."

As if to prove his point, he ground his hips against her stomach as he trailed kisses down her throat. Alice sighed, letting her head fall back against the door.

"As tempting as that sounds," her voice was breathy, "Carlisle and Esme will be home in five minutes, and we'll need more time than that."

Jasper pulled away, just enough to look into his mate's eyes, dark with thirst and lust. Without another word, Alice crushed her lips to his, his fingers tangling in her hair.

With her hands now free of his hold, she wrapped one hand around the back of Jasper's neck, sliding the other between them to grip his hardness. He groaned into Alice's mouth as she squeezed him, the feel of her delicate hand nearly sending him over the edge.

Alice pulled away, her breathing uneven, as Jasper rested his forehead against hers.

"They just turned into the driveway," she whispered.

"Damn it," he mumbled, slowly thrusting against Alice's hand that still held him through his jeans.

"I'll be back soon. I promise. Then I'll take care of you," she said with a wink.

"I'll hold you to that," he grumbled, with a final thrust against her hand, before stepping away from her.

"Oh, I know. I look forward to it."

With one last kiss, Alice ran out the back door and into the forest. Jasper sighed as he watched her leave, trying to calm himself down before Carlisle and Esme arrived.

He sat back down in his seat, grabbing his previously abandoned book from the table. He heard the car pulling into the garage, a small grin on his lips.

Alice always knows.
