When Col. O'Neill returns from Abydos, Daniel's presumed death leaves Sam shattered. SGC reopens after a year, and Sam finally transfers there, revealing hidden truths and a new relationship.

The attempt to return early from an off-world mission goes wrong and SG-1 find themselves in a life-threatening situation. Meanwhile there is trouble at the base that may impede their return. Team-oriented story with emphasis on Daniel, who has a bit of a hard time. Takes place in season 2 sometime between "Family" and "Serpent's Song".

Imagine the humorous confusion that would ensue when Jack and Vala get sucked into another reality. Only implied ships. Fun oneshot!
