Hey! Back with another chapter. Sorry for the wait. I'm just going to let you guys know, my schedule is pretty unpredictable with school and extracurricular activities, so I can no longer tell you guys when to expect another chapter. But I'll try and post as much as I can. We're about halfway through the story, so I hope you're enjoying it so far.

With all that said, let's dive into chapter 12!

This video game was getting too easy. Chase had beaten Cole's high score by ten points, and he was bored.

He thought the ninja should probably be back by now, but he did know how important this mission was, so he didn't worry too much.

Not knowing what else to do, he sighed, and pressed play once again.

OooooooooooO

All around them, explosions went off, causing the ninja to fly from their feet, only to land on their backs or sides two seconds later. They seemed to go on forever. Was there an end to this ambush?

After one particularly large explosion, all at once, the ninja flew up in the air, landed, skidded across the debris-laden floor, and came to a stop by careening into the walls around them and knocking out.

OooooooooooO

His bed was made for the night. He was ready for sleep. He was under the covers, when his head went insane. His eyes, even closed, were witnessing blurry visions of–fire? He couldn't tell.

He clutched his head, aching from the effort to process what looked like glances into the future. Or the present? He didn't know.

Starbursts of pain shot through his head. His hands were clenched so tightly to his head that they were turning white.

He screamed in agony, falling to his knees, bending over, willing this to stop. He didn't get visions for no reason. He tried to focus, to figure out what this one meant.

Just then, Sensei Wu entered his room, having heard his cries of pain. "Chase? Chase, are you alright?" He rushed to the boy's aid, seeing him in pain.

Chase didn't respond. He couldn't focus on Sensei Wu right now. He needed to pick out the exact reason for this vision occurrence.

Only the colorful blobs in the blur gave him his answer. And then the pain stopped. And when it did, the worry began.

Chase looked up at Sensei Wu, who looked back at him perplexedly.

"What's the matter?" Sensei asked, his voice laced with concern at Chase's sudden shift.

"It's the ninja. They're in trouble."

Thank you guys eternally for reading. I would appreciate all reads/reviews/favorites/follows. But very quickly, I would like to give the biggest shoutout ever to KNinjagoNexoFan47391 who gave me so many ideas for this story and has been such a supportive follower and reviewer. Please check out his work as well. Thank you guys again for reading. Sorry for the shorter chapter. I'll try to make up for it by posting sooner! Stay tuned for more.

Ducky :)
