Time for another new story, this time focusing on Freya of the Geckoling twins, the children of Tyroth and Sephie. Here, the twins are 13 years old, and well, you'll see what happens.

Wayward Heart
Chapter 1
Summer Night
It was a warm summer in the city of Chicago, and the Hamato clan had paid a visit to their close friends in underground sanctuary of Mutopia, aiming to enjoy a few days away from the constant stress and hassles of the Purple Dragons and Foot clan back in New York.
While it was nice and cool underneath the city, up top even the nights were very warm, and the patrolling mutants were not exempt from that.
So, having finished the first patrol of the night, and seeing that it was incredibly calm, Knights and Hamato decided to head out to one of the islands in Lake Michigan for a refreshing swim away from prying eyes, going there through the underground caverns and tunnels.
But as everyone was getting ready, some where having some minor issues.
"Ugh… which one should I wear!?" Freya lamented, as the dragon gecko hybrid stood naked and rummaged through her drawers, trying to pick out what swim wear to wear for the outing.
Meanwhile, her twin brother, sat on his bed, tapping one foot on the floor as he waited.
"Come on, sis! Just pick one already!" he said impatiently. "The others are waiting on us."
"But I want it to be the right one!"
"You got, what? Five different swim suits and bikinis? How hard can it be to just pick one? I got just as many swimming trunks, and it didn't take me a minute to select these."
"Well, if you're so good at it, why don't you give it a try then?" Freya scoffed, crossing her arms as she glared at her twin brother.
Loki sighed, but got up from the bed and walked over to the drawer, Freya stepping aside. He took a quick look at his sister's swim wears, then grabbed a bikini in bubblegum pink and handed it to Freya.
"That one." he said calmly.
Freya stared at the bikini, then at her brother.
"This is it! This is the right one! How did you know?!"
"A better question is how did you not know until I gave it to you?" he said with a smirk. "Now, get dressed and we can leave."
"Alright, alright. I just need a beach top and skirt." Frey said as she put on the bikini and began rummaging in her drawers again.
Loki sighed and rolled his eyes, hoping that this wouldn't take as long.
Some ten minutes later, Freya and Loki joined the Knights and Hamato that had gathered at the entrance into the caverns.
"There you are. We were starting to worry that you wouldn't come." said their father, Tyroth the dragon.
"Sorry, dad. Freya couldn't make up her mind on what to cover herself with." Loki apologised.
"Loki!" Freya objected.
"It's the truth, sis, and you know it. No need to hide it."
"Okay, that's enough, you too." their mother, Sephie the gecko, said calmly. "No need to argue."
"Sorry, mom." the twins said in unison.
"Loki's right, though." Freya continued. "I just couldn't decide on what to wear, but he helped me."
"Did he now?" Sephie said, eyeing her children proudly.
"Just looking out for my sister, and wanting to go to the beach."
"Then let's go already!" said Pandora. "I've been waiting for this all day!"
Half an hour later, the large group of mostly mutants surfaced on one of the islands in Lake Michigan. Most of the islands were devoid of humans, though some times young adults had been known to take boats to them and even camping on them for a while, so the Knights and Hamato made sure that they were indeed alone on this island before allowing themselves to properly relax.
"Ah, this is the life." said Percy the grasshopper as he spread out his towel on the beach. "The cool water, the light from the full moon, and not a human for miles to disturb us."
Suddenly, he received a slap on the back of the head. Rubbing the sore spot, he looked over his shoulder and saw Kate the viper frowning at him, then she pointed over at Jake and Kemeko, the human members of the Knights and Hamato clan respectively.
"Um, present company and expanded family excluded, of course." the grasshopper added. "I mean, they are part of our little secret society, after all."
"And don't you forget it." Kate said, then walked over to join her boyfriend, Michelangelo on a different spot of the beach.
"Okay everyone, listen up!" Tyroth said in a loud voice. "I know we are here to relax, and that's what we're going to do, but as per usual we need to keep an eye out for people, just in case. And as Sharky, Amber, and the turtles are our best swimmers, they will be on a bit of a lifeguard duty, should anyone need rescuing. That's all."
As people started to remove excess clothes, stripping down to their swimwear, Tyroth and Sephie both approached their children.
"Now, the two of you remember to be extra careful in the water, okay?" Sephie said.
"Of course, mum." said Freya, and Loki nodded in agreement. "We know that our wings can get us in trouble in deeper waters."
"That's right." said Tyroth. "And trust me, getting pulled down by the currents is bad enough normally, but it's way worse for the likes of us. I speak from experience on this."
"We know, dad." said Loki. "And we promise not to go too far out or from the others."
"Very good. Now…" a smirk spread across his lips, then he scooped up his wife and launched them both into the air. "Last one in is a Foot fool!"
"Hey! No fair, dad!" the twins shouted before hurrying after, all four of them hitting the water, and the rest following shortly after.
People all enjoyed the cool water, some just floating or swimming a bit, while others played around a bit more, splashing water at each other or doing some tricks. Others still just socialised a bit.
"So let me get this straight… you two are back to sharing a room again?" Pandora asked Freya and Loki. "Didn't you say that you just got separate rooms not that long ago?"
"We did, yeah, but it just didn't feel right." said Freya.
"We've been together all our lives, and while it was exciting to get our own rooms, it just felt… empty." said Loki. "I felt so alone I couldn't sleep properly."
"Me too." Freya agreed. "Mom and dad both thought, we too for that matter, that we just needed to get used to being on our own."
"But it never got any better." Loki added. "Even after a few months it just felt wrong to be alone like that."
"So we moved back together again." Freya continued. "We did get to keep the other room, though, as a bit of a hobby room."
"That's cool." said Kemeko. "But… doesn't that mean that you two… change in the same room then?"
"We do, what of it?" asked Loki.
"Well, it's just that… you are boy and girl…"
"Really?" the twins said in unison, looking at each other. "We never noticed." the both then laughed.
"We've seen each other naked since day one." Loki continued.
"Yeah, it's not that big of a deal to us, not even after we started to 'develop'."
"Makes sense." said Sonia. "I've heard of siblings that are that close from the adults, it's not as strange as it seems."
Sharky suddenly did a leap out of the water, high enough so he was clean out then did a back flip diving back in head-first to which everyone cheered!
"Nice stunt, shark-man!" Raphael cheered.
Sharky resurfaced and did a couple of gracious bows.
"Thank you, Thank you!"
"Not bad, huh?" Loki asked his sister.
"Impressive!" Freya said.
Kemeko looked over to ask Pandora what she thought only to see the hybrid wasn't next to her in the water.
"Um...Pandora?" she asked looking around, yet she couldn't see her cousin anywhere.
That was until suddenly Pandora appeared from the water next to Sharky and she launched into the air throwing her hair back then did a backflip before diving back into the water like he did!
Everyone gasped as they watched then Pandora appeared next to a shocked and surprised Sharky with a smirk.
"How did you...?" he asked.
"Anything you do, I can do better!" she teased waving her tail at him from behind her.
"Ah!" Sharky realised "Like a propeller!"
Pandora clicked her tongue proudly.
Sonia rolled her eyes.
"Oh here we go!" she said "Typical Pandora!"
Loki face palmed.
"Trust Pandora to be boastful!" he groaned.
"Tell me about it!" Sonia agreed.
"Show off!" Kemeko scoffed and frowned.
Freya meanwhile didn't say a word as she observed what she had just seen.
She couldn't take her eyes off of Pandora, in her brand new swim suit, a backless one piece that was connected in the middle at the front, coloured red and amber in a tie dye style.
'Wow…' Freya thought to herself. 'Pandora is so… beautiful…'
And that about does it for the start of this. Some of you might be seeing what's going on, but we'll all see where this goes.
