"What do you think Nazz?" Kevin asked as he showed off his robot to her. She looked up and smiled, "That's like really cool Kevin! Better than the one I made." Nazz pulled her robot out of her bag.

Kevin's jaw dropped, "What do you mean? Your's is awesome!!" He exclaimed.

They both smiled at each other, then they heard a scoff behind them.

"Look at them babe, nerds." Jimmy gave them a stupid grin. Sarah elbowed him in the stomach, "Jimmy be nice, I think it's cool." She defended them. Kevin had to admit that he got along with Sarah way better than with Jimmy, he just rolled his eyes.

Jimmy was only there because of Sarah, and Sarah was only there because of Ed. In Kevin's opinion, Ed wasn't the best in robotics but he had some knowledge which was great for the team.

Kevin suddenly felt like someone behind him, he turned around to see someone he didn't expect to see today.

Eddward Vincent.

"Greetings Citrouille," He walked closer to Kevin. "What are you doing here, Eddward?" Kevin put his robot away from harm's way.

"Well, since I always make you come to my swim meets. I thought why not come to your robotics meet." Eddward put his arms around his back, "It's simply just a favor returned, you really should be grateful I'm here, cher."

Kevin couldn't believe his ears, "Be grateful he's here?! Oh my gosh..He's so selfish!" Kevin jerked away from Eddward.

"Right, and you don't get bored at things like this at all." Kevin knew Eddward would get bored eventually and he hoped he would just leave.

"For your information, Pumpkin. I actually do enjoy these types of competitions."

Kevin cocked an eyebrow, he didn't believe any words Eddward said. "Sure, that's great, we'll be prepared to get bored later on." Kevin gave him the fake smile, he tried not to be irritated at Eddward.

Eddward gave him a wicked grin, like he was planning something, something evil. Kevin grabbed his bag where he had all his stuff in and walked over to his team's table. He sat next to Nazz.

The announcer was just going over what's about to happen and what they needed to do, but it wasn't Kevin's first time. However, for Nat and Ed it was.

"Alright grab your robots and let's get started!" People started to cheer. Kevin reached for his bag and opened it, "Wait what?" He only found nothing

"Oh no..Oh No." Kevin started to panic. He dumped all his stuff on the floor, not there.

"Kevin, what's wrong?" Nazz asked, "It's about to start!" She looked over to find Kevin, sweating.

"N-nazz! I can't find my robot! It's gone!!" He was about to scream. Then it hit him, when he was talking to Eddward, someone must've taken it!

Eddward only went to distract him! Kevin looked around, Eddward was not to be found.

"Of course he must've left as soon as someone took it!" Kevin couldn't believe it, nor he should've been expecting it from Eddward.

Eddward bullied Kevin a lot, but he never left bruises on him like others. It was just sexual harassment, which he didn't like. However, Eddward found it amusing.

At first Kevin was scared, but as soon as he got used to Eddward he realized he wasn't that scary. Sometimes he was, but Kevin had to be brave to defeat him, which he hasn't done yet.

Angry boiled inside of Kevin, he needed to find his robot or else he couldn't compete in the robotics meet. So, he had to go and find it himself.

"Maybe I'm wrong," Kevin started to rethink, "maybe it just fell out of my bag when I wasn't looking." He retracted his steps. He still couldn't find it anywhere.

He looked up from the floor to finally see Eddward..with..his..robot..

"I WAS RIGHT! HE DID TAKE IT!" Kevin screamed in his head. He marched over to Eddward, "HEY!" Kevin yelled, actually making Eddward jump.

"What are you doing with my robot!?" Kevin snatched it out of Eddwards hand, Eddward was left speechless.

"You took it didn't you!!?" Kevin was about to say that he was fed up with Eddward, but he was stopped. "Aw, look it's Kevin. Finally noticed that your robot was gone?"

Kevin turned silent as he glared at Eddward, Eddy laughed. Suddenly, he grabbed Kevin's robot. They were playing a game of tug of war. "I want to see your robot!" He demanded.

"Hey, let go you gonna!-"

The robot was split, and parts of it dropped to the ground, bits of it falling all over the place.

"Oh, is the little baby going to cry over a toy?" Eddy teased Kevin, "What a pathetic baby, right Edward?" He turned to look over but Edward was looking at Kevin he didn't say anything.

Kevin sunk into the floor, his eyes felt watery. He tried to pick up the pieces, but failed.

"Yes, he is a-" Eddward started, but Kevin wasn't going to let him finish,

"This is all your fault!!" Kevin yelled at him, his face red, his eyes watering. Kevin wiped his tears and ran out of the room. He ran outside, a pretty good distance before stopping at a lake.

Kevin didn't even know why he was there, he couldn't even swim.

He couldn't believe it once more, he couldn't compete now, his chances were gone now. His robot took weeks to both build and program. He sighed, he heard footsteps behind, he knew exactly who it was.

"Ha! Look, he really is a baby!" Eddy laughed, his gang was there, but Eddward surprisingly wasn't.

"S-shut up! It's not about the robot…" He stuttered, knowing if he goes too far he could end up worse

"Better watch your mouth before your face gets ruined." Eddy snapped at him, they all walked closer to Kevin. Making Kevin walk backwards, towards the edge of the dock.

Kevin stopped, "What's wrong baby? You can't swim?" Eddy teased him.

"Leave me alone Eddy.." Kevin was almost about to beg. "Hmm..How about..No!" He laughed, "His dang psycho laugh.." Thought Kevin.

His gang laughed along with him. Kevin made a fist with his hands, it didn't matter though. Eddy made the first move, he punched Kevin. While Kevin was trying to stop his glasses from falling off, someone behind him grabbed Kevin and threw him into the lake.

The last thing he saw was them, Eddy and his gang were laughing, then it started to fade to black.

He saw a shadow before he was about to pass out, a shadow swimming towards him, that was the last thing he saw.

"Come on you, idiot.." Someone muttered, they were pounding on his chest. "Haven't I gotten enough harm today?" He asked himself, he knew right when he opened his eyes it was going to be painful for him.

However, he wasn't dead yet. He opened his eyes to see someone unexpected, Eddward.

Kevin groaned, his body felt heavy and his face immediately started to hurt. "Oh my…You are an idiot, I hope you know that." Eddward sat up beside Kevin.

He realized that he was up against a wall, his hat was missing and his glasses were broken. Plus, his clothes were all wet. "Wh..What happened?" Kevin asked.

"You ran to a lake where you can't swim at all, and talked back to Eddy and one of his friends threw you in." He gave a sarcastic remark to Kevin's face.

Kevin hugged his knees, "I don't remember seeing you there.." He mumbled. "I was just catching up with them to see what next foolish thing they would do." Eddward admitted.

After a few moments of silence, Eddward got up and offered Kevin a hand. "Come on, let's get you home, Pumpkin."

Kevin took it willingly, for some odd reason. He didn't know why he could trust Eddward just yet…"I mean..he did save my life.."

While they were walking back Eddward noticed that Kevin was shaking, his body almost trembling. Kevin was very cold, it was true. He suddenly felt something cover him, Eddwards jacket.

He took off his jacket and gave it to Kevin, "Here, you look like a frozen Pumpkin."

"Oh..Thanks," Kevin gave a little smile to Eddward, and he actually smiled back at him. Something inside of Kevin felt warm, it was odd, he never felt that way before. He noticed how Eddward's coat was just as big on him, but on Eddward it was small.

Kevin realized that he was blushing, he quickly thought of something else to stop it..Like how Nazz was probably worrying about him not being there!

"To be honest Pumpkin..You scared me.." Eddward softly mumbled, Kevin somehow heard it, "W-what? come again?" He wanted to hear that he misheard it.

"When you fell into the lake, and you didn't swim back up..I thought for a second you were.." He didn't finish the last part, Kevin was half glad that he didn't.

"Sorry," Kevin apologized, Eddward looked at him with a confused look. "Why are you apologizing? It wasn't your fault."

"Oh, sorry!" He said again, Eddward grinned, "Stop!"

"Sorry!" Kevin couldn't help it, Eddward started to laugh while Kevin giggled.

"Man..You are a strange pumpkin in a patch, aren't cha?"

Kevin knew what he meant by that and nodded. He was used to it by now, being the odd one in the group, he never let anybody tell him what he should and shouldn't be.

Eddward gave a deep hum, Kevin found it fascinating for some reason.

"Your parents are probably worried about you." Eddward said after some silence. "And what about your parents?" Kevin redirected the question back, he knew that Eddwards parent must've been working for him.

Eddward shook his head, "Don't you worry Pumpkin.." He chuckled lightly.

"Oh! I almost forgot," Eddward pulled off his bag again, he reached inside to pull out Kevin's robot.

He was completely flabbergasted, "Did he put it back together for me?"

He handed the robot to Kevin, "Before I left, I so kindly took your robot and put it back together for you." Eddward seemed pretty proud of himself, for helping Kevin? Was he expecting a reward?

"Oh…thanks," Once again they smiled at each other, but it was in a different way.

It took them about 10 minutes to walk to Kevin's house. He took off Eddwards jacket, "Thanks again for the jacket and for the robot..And

maybe for saving my life.." Giving it back to him, while he fidgeted with his fingers, slightly blushing.

"No problem, Pumpkin. Je ferais n'importe qui pour vous." That was the last thing he said before turning around and walking to his house.

Of course that left Kevin puzzled, he had no idea what he just said. He never knew that there was a side of Eddward that was soft, didn't even know it was possible.

Kevin went inside his house, the door was unlocked, which meant his mother was home. Kevin was just exhausted, he still had strength to go upstairs to his room.

He looked down at his robot. He was still confused on why Eddward would do this for him. He certainly wasn't doing this to be nice to him, he must want something, but what?

That's a mystery Kevin is going to have to solve.

His eyes were flickering, his mind drifting off, totally not thinking about Eddward..And finally his eyes closed.
