First Day At High Hope Academy
It was a bright and sunny Monday morning, Sofia, the new student at High Hope Dance Academy was running to the dance studio for her first dance class.
It was Sofia's very first day at High Hope Academy and she was running more than a little late.
Way to go, Girl, Sofia thought to herself. Dame Skyla and Professor Skyler will skin you alive for being late on your first day!
Sofia heard running feet footsteps coming from behind her.
"Sofia," a male voice called out. "wait up!"
Sofia turned to see who had called her, it was Slam.
"Don't bother me right now," Sofia told Slam, she was in a hurry. "I'm late for dance class enough as it is."
"I hate to be the bearer of bad news here, Sof," Slam said, he was the only one of the sky dancers who called Sofia by the name nickname that her brother, James called her. "but you're going the wrong way."
"What are you talking about?" Sofia asked Slam.
"The dance studio is this way," Slam replied to Sofia. "follow me."
Sofia followed Slam to the dance studio where Professor Skyler, Dame Skyla, Jade Yamato, Camille, Brandon, Angelica, and Breeze Runningbear were waiting for them.
Dame Skyla had her arms folded across her chest, she was not too pleased.
"Nice of you to join us, Sofia." Dame Skyla said.
"I'm sorry I'm late, Dame Skyla," Sofia apologized. "I just got a little lost."
Brandon couldn't hold back his laughter.
