Star Wars: The United Terran Federation

Chapter 4: Jedi and Diplomat, a Truly Bad Combo

35 BBY / March 2056

In Hyperspace, Inwrought to an unknown system,

Southern edge of the Unknown Regions

Jedi Logistics patrol vessel: Class Corellian Colonizer: Luminosity

Jedi knight Eilva Lellira was a very calm and collective person. She was a Jedi consular, trained to use her words before her blade in unpleasant ways. Trained from a young age, this Alderaanian Jedi with her master, Yarael Poof the Quermian Jedi Master, a Jedi Master who still served on the Jedi High Council.

Being six feet tall and 140 lbs, she was more often a little taller than most girls in her clan she was in a few years ago. She wasn't the ideal student for the Jedi teachers, but she always seems to have a knack for keeping the peace between her fellow clan members. That's why she was chosen by master Poof to be his padawan, not for limited skill with the lightsaber, but her skill as a negotiator and mediator.

From her master, she learned that as long as you were patient in negotiations, you would go very far. She always had strong control on her emotions and soon after being trained to be a professional negotiator. So much in fact that some of her fellow knights said she was a patient of stone. For a long time, she and the main other thought she had over the years gained great self-control.

Unfortunately, even she had her limits.

She knew this to be true from the fact that-

"Great another pathetic assignment." Said an Eriadu male, "Why did I become an ambassador? I could have been a commander in the Judicial Forces, but no, I had to listen to my mother. Join the diplomatic core she said, it would be great fun she said."

The complaining man in question was Ambassador Reuanto Parsax from the republic planet of Eriadu and was going to be the temporary Republic Ambassador to these newcomers to the Galactic community, the Terran Federation. In her opinion, she didn't know what the senate was thinking. 'They were trying to insult these people with this' she tried to think of a name that could work, 'Person. That or they just don't care what happens.' She ended her thoughts.

"And now I'm stuck with this 'Assignment.'" Said Reuanto Parsax in disgust before continuing, "To bring these Primitive humans into the Galactic community."

He continued his speech after looking through the tactical report from the Next Star that had been sent with the invitation from the Terran government, "By the force, they are still using slug-throwers for peak sake. How uncivilized."

She then decided to interrupt his speech, before he had truly worn out her patience with his idiotic speech.

"If it does not bother you ambassador, I will retire for the night. I might suggest the same for you, since you will be leading the negotiations, of course." She said in a polite voice that didn't give away her annoyance to the man.

The man nodded at this, realizing that he would be a long day ahead of them tomorrow. She leaves the room, and as she exits, she breathes a sigh in relief of not having to Listen to his speech about the Terrans for the next few hours.

As she enters her quarters, she looks around the very plain room. Since the Jedi Order didn't believe in personal property, thinking that having such a thing would lead to selflessness and possibly the Dark Side, she didn't do anything to change her room, 'even if it's a little bland' she thought. She immediately pushed that momentary thought away.

She was just thinking back to when she was summoned by the Jedi High Council in regard to this mission for the republic, while having a second secret mission, ordered by the Council themselves…..

"…this mission is very important to the republic. I think you can understand why, Knight Lellira." Ended Jedi Master Windu. He had just the basic mission description, that the republic had just found a needed race, and that she would be sent as a representative of the Jedi order and provide assistance to the diplomatic team.

"Thank you for this great assignment, Master's," replied Lellira, but with a feeling of discomfort, she then asked, "but I sense there's something else?" Leaving the question in the air.

Her old Master, Poof then started to speak, "The council has also decided that during this mission, if possible, to find other force sensitive children, so that they can be brought to the temple in the future." He explained, "So that they can't fall to this growing darkness in the force."

It had been a few years since the Jedi had sensed a growing cloud blinding their vision of the force. The Council was getting nervous because of this. So, they had been making extra sure to bring all force sensitive that are of the right age to the temple so that they could be trained in the arts of the Jedi.

"Escape this chance, we cannot." Said master Yoda, The grandmaster of the Jedi Order. "Go you must. Seek these Terrans. Find any who could be Jedi. See if you could bring them back to the order, you must."

With the importance of the mission made clear, she set off to the hanger bay in which the diplomatic team with the ambassador was in.

Location: Approaching the Sol system, Hyperspace

"Well, be coming out of Hyperspace in a moment Master Jedi, Ambassador." Said the ship's Captain.

At the pull of a lever, the outside of the ship's windows quickly changes from the swirling blue vortexed of Hyperspace to the vast darkness of space, with sprinkles of bright tiny lights.

On closer inspection, the Jedi Knight could see that they had approached close to a mostly white dwarf planet. She could also see the Next star, in orbit of said planet.

She then quickly noticed another ship. I was a Grey, bulky ship with the front of it shaped like a wedge, going up and down, with three large size turrets on the top and bottom, two forward and a single one in the back. It was also seemed to have a center command bridge on the top, while the bottom of it was indented out from the main hull, not as great as the top. She also noticed what appeared to be an escort of six fighter craft.

The communication equipment suddenly came online, "Republic vessel, this is the Terran Defence ship Apollo, identify yourself and your intentions." said a calm yet firm male voice.

The captain of the diplomatic vessel then spoke up, "This is the republic ship Luminosity, on route with the ambassador and his diplomatic team for a diplomatic meeting with your government."

The Terran's soon responded, allowing the Diplomatic ship forward to the Terran homeworld, along with the Apollo acting as an escort.

As they approached the third planet, the ambassador, Reuanto Parsax, even in his arrogance admitted to the Jedi Knight that it was beautiful, from the vast green of plant life to the very large masses of water. She also had to agree with his statement, however, what truly got her attention was not the planet, but its force presents. Or rather the many forces sensitive she could sense, just in orbit.

And it was not just that, but the way they all fell.

'They all feel balanced,' Eilva Lellira thought, somewhat uncomfortable with the strange force feeling, 'while some are more light or dark, the whole population seems balanced.'

This had almost unnerved her, almost breaking her focus. However, she calmed her mind and prepared herself for the introductions. She then went down to the hanger to meet with the ambassador before departing to the planet.

As she and the ambassador's team boarded the shuttle, the ambassador then asked, "Well, master Jedi, think where ready?"

"I believe the saying, 'Ready as we ever would be' is the best to description." The young woman replied, as the shuttle launched towards the planet.

Hello there, StarTrekBattlestar123AMF here. I hope you all enjoyed the story so far.

Please do give me some reviews, I would love to hear all your feedback about my first try at a fanfiction.

Even Ideas of how I could shape the story into the future would be appreciated.

Thank you for Your Questions Blaze1992, I'll answer them for you.

As for the ships from earth and other factions, well, in the story there are going to be many ships made by earth in the story, most are going to be inspired from modern day sea-based warships, with possibly a touch of halo mixed in with it. But for the republic and others, I'll say that they will stay to many canon, depending on how the story unfolds itself.

When I was asking about ideas, I was asking about ideas from you, the reader, on what I could possibly expand on the story line or like me to add in the future, like say, have the Terrans hunt down The Trade Federation ship in the galaxy and blow them to kingdom come. That sort of thing.

And while I can't say too much about it, I will be trying to Introduce new primary characters along with the main Star Wars canon characters. Most Ship classes for the Terrans are not going to be revealed just yet, force powers are going to be used, however I can't go into too much detail just yet. For battles, well, I have some ideas, but the main concept I will be pushing for the Terrans will be long range tactics, while everyone else just goes with the tried-and-true tactic of charging and fighting at close range.

I hope that answers some questions for you.

Chapter five will hopefully be out by Friday.

Thank you for your time to read my story, have a nice day.

Update.

Since a few people have commented that the Jedi was severely underweight I gave her few more.

Sorry about it for I honestly don't know the average weight of women and at the time thought it was a reasonable one, my apologies to all women out their.
