Should I be doing this when my two other fics are still wip and their sequels are waiting for me to bring them to life? Probably not.

However, this has been in my google documents for over a year now and I think it's time for it to show up.

Hi, Kitsune, this chapter is dedicated to you, my devoted reader and friend :) I won't leave it a cliffhanger for too long… maybe

A woman stumbled slowly into the forest, tripping over her own legs. She was once beautiful, not saying she was ugly now. Scar after scar, injury after injury. All littered over her body, face, and limbs. Everywhere basically. She wasn't someone anyone would want to mess with, but right now? Even a gust of wind could defeat her. Her breathing was shallower than usual, and her eyesight was blurry, eyes covered with her blood and dust. Blood continuously flowed down, no matter how many times she wiped.

I wouldn't last long. She reckoned. But she still needed to be as far as possible. Her eyes begged to close, her legs threatening to collapse. But she forced them to go forward, forcing them to go beyond their limits as she had done so many times. There were only trees in sight, nothing to strengthen her. If she had been as fragile as when she was first dragged into this mess, she would've collapsed and died already. But no. It's been 8 years since she was dragged into this world. She survived 8 years. Survived despite the horrors thrown at her. She wasn't about to die because of a stupid thing called a hole in her head.

She managed to get another few metres, before dropping to her knees, her breathing faster than what was considered healthy, trying to get as much oxygen as possible.

Something was blocking her lungs. Something was preventing her from breathing. Her eyes burned with pain. Her mind and heart were in agreement for once, begging to be released from this torture. And for once… she was too tired to fight it.
