Next story in my special series. First chapter of Hot Wheels Battle Force 10. It will tie in with my Slugterra and Storm Hawks stories in the future.

Chapter 1: Starting Line

(Intro)

The Battle Force 10 suited up, revved up their engines and passed through a Stormshock portal.

Each of the team drives through the Salt Flats as they display their battle vehicle's powers and skills. Vert and the Saber, Olivia and the Jetray, Agura and the Tangler, Sherman and Spinner and the Buster, Stanford and the Reverb, Zoom and the Chopper, Talia and the Pom-Pom Pouncer, Rayona and the Steaming Wok, Ivan and the Dune Cat, and Horace and the Defender.

The scene shifts between the Sark, the Vandals and the Dwellers as Zemerik, Kalus and Sauron attack the screen.

Then all 4 groups come together on the Salt Flats before Vert grabs a key and reveals the tile of the show.

In a garage in the middle of the Salt Flats, Vert Wheeler and his sister, Olivia Wheeler, were putting the finishing touches on their cars. A small bunch of slugs watched as they worked. When they were done, Vert opened up the garage doors and they entered their vehicles and started the engines. "These are some Hot Wheels." Vert said. "You got that right, bro." Olivia agreed. And with that, they buckled up, put their vehicles in gear and drove out of the garage. They drove through the Salt Flats with some serious rubber burning speed. "Yep, definitely hot!" Vert said. "We really outdid ourselves, Vert." Olivia said.

Just then, a police siren wailed. Vert and Olivia looked in their rearview mirrors and saw a police car pulling up beside them. "Oh, great, the abusive pig-man." Olivia groaned. "Pull over, Wheelers. You're both speeding." The local sheriff, Johnson, said through the intercom. (AN: I hate that cop.) "Sorry, Sheriff Johnson! It's not against the law if we're on the Salt Flats! And according to our spirometer, we're doing the speed limit!" Vert called. "Cactus!" As Vert and Olivia steered away, Johnson saw that he was driving into a cactus field. He screamed as he drove into a fresh patch. "Bye, Johnny!" Olivia called out, mockingly. "WHEELERS, YOU'RE BOTH GOING NOWHERE FAST!" Johnson shouted as he got out, just as the last cactus standing timbered onto his car, making him growl. He really hated Vert and Olivia.

As Vert and Olivia continued driving deeper into the Salt Flats, Olivia noticed something. "Hey, Vert! You're gonna wanna take a look at this!" She called. Vert turned to see what it was. A tornado in the middle of the Salt Flats. They skidded to a stop to get a better look. "That's strange." Vert said. "Yeah. A tornado in the middle of the Salt Flats? That's not normal." Olivia said. "And around here, that's as close as it gets to fun." Vert said. "Read my mind, bro!" Olivia exclaimed. "Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo!" "Yee-haw!" They drove towards the tornado. But as they got closer, their tires suddenly glowed red. "Uh, Vert? Something's happening! We gotta turn around!" Olivia called. "I'm trying! I can't control it! I'm being pulled in!" Vert exclaimed as his car was pulled in. "Ugh! Me too! We're being sucked into it!" Olivia exclaimed as her car got pulled in too. They were pulled along the winds of the cyclone until a bright light shined at the end.

Just then, a portal opened and the vehicles popped out into a wasteland of some kind. Vert and Olivia got out to see. "Where in the world…uh, the universe are we?" Vert asked. "I don't know. But I feel like I've been here before." Olivia said. "You too?" Vert asked. "Wait. You feel it too?!" Olivia asked in shock. "Yeah, I do. But what is this place?" Vert asked. "I don't know." Olivia said. "Maybe we're dreaming this." Vert said, rubbing his eyes while his sister closed her eyes and pinched herself, but they were still there. "Nope. Not dreaming." She said. Just then, the portal started closing. "Oh no! It's closing!" Vert exclaimed. "We gotta hurry!" Olivia exclaimed. "No! Wait! NO!" Vert yelled, leaping for the portal, but it closed too quickly. "Great. Now we're stuck here." Olivia groaned as she helped her brother up. "Help!" A woman's voice called. "Who was that?" Olivia asked. "I don't know." Vert said.

Nearby, a blue holographic woman was being chased by something on wheels. But then, she tripped over a rock, making her drop a key-like artifact she was holding. She tried to reach for it, but something walked up to her, preventing her from grabbing it. She turned and gasped. 5 anamorphic beasts, a crocodile, a shark, a cockroach, a grizzly bear and a praying mantis, stood over her, cackling with success. Vert and Olivia peeked from a ledge and saw the beasts surrounding the woman as they fought over the key. Vert and Olivia kept looking at the woman, feeling like they knew her from somewhere. "Get your claws off, Krocomodo!" The shark, named Sever, exclaimed as he snatched the key from the crocodile, named Krocomodo. But Krocomodo snatched it back. But then, he got swatted in the face by the grizzly bear, named Griz. But before he could take the key, the praying mantis, named Raptor, snatched the key first. And then, the key was snatched by the cockroach, named Hatch.

Just then, there was a loud roar. Everyone turned to see an anamorphic liger approaching on a chariot. As the liger reached the group, he dismounted his ride and was offered the key by Hatch. He took the key and glared at the woman. "Give me back the key, Kalus!" The woman demanded as she got back up. "The Battle Key belongs to me!" The liger, named Kalus, exclaimed, roaring in the air. "We've got to help her." Olivia whispered. "I know. Let's get back to our cars." Vert whispered. "Hopefully they still work." Olivia whispered.

"I will not allow you to destroy any more worlds!" The woman exclaimed. "You are the last of your kind. You can do nothing to stop me!" Kalus exclaimed. Just then, there was a motor. Everyone turned to see just as Vert and Olivia drove towards them. The woman swiped the key from Kalus just as Vert and Olivia drifted, spraying dirt into the beasts' faces. The woman recovered as Vert drove towards her, opening his passenger's door. "Get in!" He exclaimed. The woman hopped in and Vert drove away as Olivia followed. Kalus recovered, hopped into his chariot and drove after them.

As Vert and Olivia drove faster, the woman looked at Vert. 'Aries?' She thought. "We must flee through the portal that brought you here." She said. "Before we go anywhere, we need some answers." Vert said. "Yeah. Like, who are you? What are those freaky creatures? And where exactly are we?" Olivia asked. "Those creatures are called Vandals. They are a species of savage conquerors. I am Sage, a Sentient. And we are in an interdimensional Battle Zone." The woman, Sage, answered as she brought up a holographic map. "A Battle what?!" Vert asked. "Battle Zone. One of many throughout the Multiverse." Sage said. "Multiverse? Man, I am gonna need serious therapy after this." Olivia said, holding her forehead. 'Who is this woman? And why do I feel like I know her?' Vert thought, staring at the strange beauty of this Sage.

But just then, Kalus came up and fired arrows from his wrist crossbow at Vert and Olivia's cars from the rears. "Hey! I just had this thing painted!" Vert shouted. "Yeah! Watch the tires too, pussycat!" Olivia shouted. Kalus then fired a large spear at Vert's car, harpooning it. "Now you're starting to make me mad!" Vert exclaimed. He floored it and gave the spear a tug, pulling the chariot off its wheels and sending Kalus flying. He landed on his feet and growled. "So long, furball!" Vert called. "We'll send you a bill!" Olivia called. But then, as the spear fell off, both cars' engines began to sputter. "Oh, that's just great." Olivia groaned. "Uh, do you know a good garage in this wasteland? We need to make some repairs." Vert said. Sage pressed a button on her arm. And just then, a big tank-sized facility dropped its invisibility cloaking and appeared in front of them. A hatch on the front opened up and Vert and Olivia drove right in. The hatch closed up and the facility cloaked back up just as the Vandals drove right past it. Kalus howled in frustration from losing them.

"What is this thing?" Vert asked. "A Mobius Command Center. It functions as a mobile repair station, a storehouse of knowledge, as well as a power source for me." Sage explained. "Well, why don't we just ride it out of here?" Olivia asked. "It is damaged beyond repair. Let us hope it has enough energy to perform one last function." Sage said as she got out of Vert's car. Vert and Olivia got out as Sage floated into the air. "TRINA, you up and running?" Sage asked. "Up and ready to go, boss." Another voice called out. Vert and Olivia turned to see a protocol droid walk off a platform and approach a control pad. "Who…or what is that?" Olivia asked. "Excuse me? Name's TRINA, punk. You oughta learn some respect for a hard-working droid like me." TRINA said with a rude tone. "Whoa. Bot with attitude. Respect." Olivia said.

Just then, Vert and Olivia were elevated on a platform. "Hey. Hey! What're you doing?" Vert asked. Sage opened up a holographic setup grid with a wave of her arm. Then she held her hands in front of her chest as 2 chips appeared from it. One red and one amaranth purple. "These are self-contained power cells. They contain blueprints to upgrade your vehicles. These devices will analyze you and customize the capabilities of your vehicles to your personalities." She explained. "Well, if it means a free paint job, then knock yourself out." Vert said. "I don't know. My car's pretty cool enough as it is." Olivia said. Vert looked at Olivia deadpanned. "But I never pass up a free tune up. Go ahead." Olivia said. "Unfortunately, all other systems will need to be shut down. Including the cloaking device." Sage said.

Meanwhile, outside, Kalus looked around the zone with a telescope. Then he spotted the Command Center just as its cloaking device shut down. "There. The Mobius Command Center." He said.

As Sage and TRINA's machinery began upgrading their rides, several analyzers lowered down and began analyzing Vert and Olivia, outfitting them in special battle suits. Vert's was red and Olivia's was amaranth purple. "Cool." Vert said. "Sweet duds." Olivia said. "High-impact G-Force resistant battle suits." Sage said. Vert and Olivia traced their fingers on the decagons with the number 10 on their chests, wondering what it meant. But before they could ask, they saw that their rides were finished. "Oh, even cooler!" Vert exclaimed. "You said it, bro!" Olivia exclaimed. "To complete the upgrade, the bond with your machines, you must name the vehicles." Sage explained. "The Saber." Vert said. "And the Jetray." Olivia said. TRINA looked at them with a small hint of jealousy.

Just then, an alarm blared. "What's that?" Olivia asked. "Big trouble. Kalus and his Vandals are near." TRINA said. Sage floated down. "The key will signal you when you get close to the portal." She said. "The portal's gone. It doesn't exist." Vert said. "He's right. It closed up and disappeared after we got here." Olivia said. "This Battle Key will unlock it for you." Sage said, placing the key on the Saber. "Once you are both through, take the key and lock the portal on the Earth side." "You're both coming right?" Vert asked. "I must travel in Hibernation Mode to conserve energy." Sage said. Then she started to glow, and then her entire body got sucked into the polygon artifact in her head. Vert caught the polygon as it fell. "Cool. Alien to go." He said. "But what about TRINA? We can't leave her here." Olivia said. "Don't worry, you pretty little head. You've got a co-pilot seat in your ride." TRINA said, pointing to the seat in the back. "Oh. Didn't see that before." Olivia said.

Vert and Olivia drove out of the Mobius Command Center just before the Vandals arrived. Kalus blew his horn. "Sever! Krocomodo! Raptor! Seize command of the Mobius and strip it of its resources! I will pursue the sub-creatures!" He ordered. "Yes, Captain Kalus." Krocomodo said. Kalus, Hatch and Griz drove after Vert and Olivia while Krocomodo, Sever and Raptor entered the Mobius Command Center.

As Vert and Olivia continued driving, they heard Kalus' horn. They looked up and saw the 3 Vandals driving on a separate trail. Kalus started firing arrows from his wrist crossbow. Vert and Olivia drove in a serpentine pattern to dodge the arrows. The Wheeler siblings glared at the Vandals as Kalus chuckled. "Hatch! Griz! Move in!" He ordered. Hatch and Griz drove down a hill and onto Vert and Olivia's road. "Feel the sting of my Scarib!" Hatch exclaimed, activating a stinger on his ride. "Taste my Iron Claws!" Griz roared, activating sharp claw-like blades on his ride. Vert and Olivia drove to avoid getting struck by the Vandals.

Meanwhile, Krocomodo, Sever and Raptor were stripping the Mobius of its parts. Krocomodo and Sever fought over one piece while Raptor played with a beaker. Just then, an alarm blared. The Mobius was rigged to blow in less than 10 seconds. "Run! It's gonna blow!" Krocomodo yelled, running back to his vehicle. Sever and Raptor quickly followed. The 3 Vandals quickly drove out of the Mobius just before it exploded.

Hatch and Griz cackled as they continued to try and strike Vert and Olivia. But the Wheeler siblings had a plan as they continued driving. They drove off a rock ramp, distracting the 2 Vandals. Vert rotated his driver seat and pointed ahead. Hatch and Griz screamed as they crashed into a rock wall. "So long, Roach Boy!" Vert called. "Rub some honey on that, Papa Bear!" Olivia called.

But just then, Kalus rode up beside them. "Did you think you can insult me and get away with it?! This ends now!" He roared as he bashed into Vert and Olivia, trying to push them off the edge of the road. As Kalus chuckled, Vert activated the visors that came with the suit, seeing that his new Saber comes with an interesting feature. "That'll do." He said, activating the Saber's feature. The front opened up into sharp blades. "Whoa! Nice one, bro! I wonder what mine can do?" Olivia said, activating her visors to see the Jetray's features. Then she activated the features. 2 wing flaps came out from both sides of the car and a tail fin popped up from the rear. Vert slammed the blade into the wheels on Kalus' chariot, causing him to spin out of control. Olivia then slammed the left wing into the chariot, making it spin faster. The Wheeler siblings chuckled as they continued. But Kalus managed to regain control and continued chasing them.

Vert and Olivia closed up their vehicles' features as they got close to the portal's location. "Here goes nothing!" Vert called as the key shot off the Saber and opened up the portal. The Wheeler siblings went through the portal and made it back to the Salt Flats on Earth. "We made it! Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo!" Vert cheered as he exited the Saber. "Yeah! We smoked them!" Olivia cheered. But then they realized the portal was still open. "The Stormshock!" Vert exclaimed with worry. Kalus chuckled as he got closer. "How do we close this thing?!" Vert asked as Sage rematerialized. "Reach for the key. It will come to you." She said. Vert reached out his hand and the key automatically came into his hand. Kalus saw that the portal had closed before he got within reach of it. He skidded to a stop and roared in frustration. "We did it! So long, Vandals!" Vert cheered. "I know! We are awesome, bro!" Olivia cheered, hugging her brother. But then Sage started to groan. The Wheeler siblings looked at her as she started to phase out and dropped to her knees. "Sage, are you okay?" Vert asked as he and Olivia ran to her. "What happened?" Olivia asked. "Each time I go through a Stormshock, it weakens me. Erases part of my memory. I have traveled far. Perhaps too far. I must hibernate." Sage explained before going back into hibernation. "You gotta teach us that trick." Vert said as he caught the polygon.

Just then, Olivia realized. "TRINA!" She exclaimed as she hustled over to the Jetray just as TRINA hopped out. "TRINA, are you okay?" Olivia asked. "I'm just fine *glitch* I'm just fine *glitch* I'm just fine," TRINA repeated through a bit of a glitch. Vert and Olivia were stunned by this. "I think TRINA might have a glitch from the Stormshock." Vert said. "Yeah, I think so too." Olivia said.

Later, when Vert and Olivia returned to their garage, they noticed a bit of a blackout. "Sage?! TRINA?!" Vert called. "Where are you guys?" Olivia asked. "We are in the lower level." Sage said through an intercom. "We don't have a lower level." Vert said with confusion. "You do now." Sage said. Just then, an elevator door opened up in the wall. Vert and Olivia were surprised by this. They took the elevator down to the new lower level. Sage and TRINA had created a secret HQ right under the garage. "Our very own secret underground base. How did you 2 make all of this?" Vert asked with impression. "With Sentient-based nanotech." Sage said, displaying several nanobots creating more and more of the base. "Creating this was simple compared to creating the Multiverse." "Wait. Your people created all the Battle Zones?!" Olivia asked in shock. "Yes. But everything that we have created is under attack. The Vandals, Sark and Dwellers destroyed my home world, each taking one of the twin planets." Sage explained, showing footage of the Vandals, evil sentient robots called Sark and a group of dark fantasy creatures called Dwellers. "While the Vandals are a tribal dictatorship led by Kalus, the Sark are cold, calculated and deadly robots led by Zemerik, and the Dwellers are dark coordinated forest warriors led by Sauron. It is only a matter of time before their war spreads to this planet." "Not if we can help it." Vert said. "Yeah. We'll stop these 3 armies." Olivia said. "You 2 are formidable warriors. But you will need help. That is why I have contacted the rest of your team." Sage said. "Whoa! Team? Nah-uh. We work alone." Vert said. "Yeah, we don't really play well with strangers." Olivia said. "The 2 fists are made up of 10 fingers. Just as the Saber and the Jetray are 2 of the 10 forces required to save your world." Sage said.

Just then, Olivia noticed TRINA wasn't with Sage. "Where's TRINA?" She asked. Just then, there was the sound of laughing and chittering. TRINA was sitting in a corner playing with the slugs from earlier. "Hey, how'd you guys get down here?" Olivia asked. "I found them before we even started building this place. They really like to play." TRINA explained. "I am familiar with every species of Earth slugs. But I have never seen slugs like these ones." Sage said. "Yeah. Where did these guys come from?" TRINA asked. Vert and Olivia were hesitant to answer. They remember the promise they made when they were given those slugs. "Is something wrong?" Sage asked. Vert and Olivia sighed and nodded to each other. "Okay. What we're about to tell you is absolutely top secret." Vert said. "These slugs were given to us by a friend of ours when we were kids. They come from a secret underground world under the Earth's crust." Olivia explained. "We swore that we'd keep that world's existence a secret from anyone else who would pose as a threat." Vert added. "So why tell us?" TRINA asked. "Because your secrets are just as important. And we trust you." Vert said.

Just then, Sage's eyes glowed. "I sense a Stormshock opening." She said. "30 miles out into the Salt Flats." TRINA said, calculating the Stormshock's position. "We're on it." Vert said. He and Olivia suited up, buckled in and drove the Saber and the Jetray out of the base. "Remember, once you enter the Battle Zone, you must secure the Battle Key, return to Earth and lock the portal behind you." Sage instructed. "Copy that, Sage. We got this." Olivia said through her communicator. When they were gone, Sage opened up her hand and summoned a holographic photo of herself and a man bearing a strong resemblance of Vert, except his hair was black instead of blonde. 'Could it be him? Could my true love have returned to me as he promised?' She thought.

Vert and Olivia exited the base, drove towards the Stormshock and entered another Battle Zone through the portal. The Battle Zone resembled a ruined city. Just then, another portal opened and 4 high-tech cars came through. "I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that those guys are the Sark." Olivia said. "Let the battle begin!" Vert exclaimed. The Wheeler siblings drove towards 4 Sark vehicles. But then Vert got wedged between 2 of them. "Vert!" Olivia cried before getting wedged between the other 2 Sark vehicles. But Vert and Olivia managed to get away by hitting the brakes and falling behind the Sark. Then Vert activated the Saber's blades, sped up towards one of the Sark and slashed off its rear tire, making it crash and burst into flames. He then slashed at his second Sark, causing it to spin out of control and crash into a bridge column. "Nice one, Vert. My turn." Olivia said, activating the Jetray's jet-mode. She then sped up with jet speed, making the last 2 Sark spin out of control and crash into each other. As she caught up with Vert, they deactivated their vehicle's battle mode. "Man, I love how this baby shreds!" Vert exclaimed with impression. "Tell me about it. This bad girl moves like a jet!" Olivia exclaimed cheerfully.

The Wheeler siblings turned a corner and there it was. "The Battle Key." Vert said. "Go for it, bro." Olivia said. Vert snagged the key. "Time to shut this Battle Zone down." He said. "Right behind you, bro." Olivia said. The Wheeler siblings took off towards the portal. But suddenly, they saw a whole squadron of Sark up ahead, making them stop in their tracks. "Great!" Vert complained. "We're way outnumbered. We better take cover." Olivia suggested. "No argument there." Vert said. They backed up their vehicles under a wrecked bridge. The Sark leader, Zemerik, walked over to one of the wrecked Sark and ripped off its head. "That must be Zemerik." Vert whispered. "He is actually scarier in person." Olivia whispered. Just then, Zemerik's second-in-command, Zug, stepped forth. "What are my orders, my lord?" He asked. "I want you to find whatever did this, neutralize it and bring me the Battle Key!" Zemerik ordered. "Yes, Lord Zemerik." Zug said. "Maybe Sage was right. A team would've been good right about now." Vert whispered. "Yeah, you're right. We can't take these crazy robots on our own." Olivia agreed.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, 7 limos drove into the middle of the Salt Flats. The limos stopped as they met up in the middle, letting out their passengers. The first was an African tomboy girl named Agura. The second was a Thai boy wearing a headband and carrying a bow and quiver of arrows named Zoom. The third was a Chinese girl wearing a handmade cheerleader's outfit named Talia. The fourth was a Canadian boy wearing a tuke with the Maple Leaf named Ivan. The fifth was an Indian girl named Rayona. The sixth was a rather timid looking British man carrying a violin case named Stanford. And the seventh and eighth were 2 other boys. One was short with spikey hair named Spinner. The other was his younger and taller twin brother named Sherman. Everyone all stared at each other as much as their destination, feeling like they've met each other before. "This is not a video game convention." Spinner said. Just then, the limos automatically closed their doors and drove off, leaving the group in the dust. "No, no, no, wait! Come back! You dropped us off in…" Spinner groaned.

"I am not gonna get Wi-Fi out here." Sherman said. "And in this heat, I could fry up bacon just by holding the pan up to the sun." Rayona said. "I was told there was an off-road race." Agura said. "You?" "The World Mixed Martial Arts Championship." Zoom said, showing some of his moves. And nearly striking Spinner in the process, making him smile nervously. "But why the bow and arrows?" Ivan asked. "A part-time hobby I took up. I was told there was an event for it." Zoom said. "And you 2?" Agura asked, turning to Talia and Rayona. "I was invited to a cheerleading contest. I had my uniform all ironed up and everything." Talia explained. "And I was invited to audition for a cooking show." Rayona said. "And what about you?" Zoom asked, turning to Ivan. "Adventurer's convention. Thought it'd be an opportunity to follow in my brother's footsteps." Ivan explained. "We've been scammed." Agura deduced. Just then, an eighth limo came driving up. Then it swerved, tossing a Ukrainian boy out. The boy, named Horace, tumbled in front of the group. "HEY! Now that was just plain rude!" He shouted before picking up his gaming controller. "Say, uh, does anyone know where the tournament is?" He asked. "What tournament?" Rayona asked. "The World Gaming Tournament. I was told it was taking place. But I guess I was set up." Horace said. "Join the club." Spinner said.

"Wait. What about him?" Talia asked, pointing to Stanford, standing by himself. "Oh, I didn't even notice him earlier." Spinner said. "Wonder what he's here for?" Ivan asked. Agura looked at him. She could tell that he was uncomfortable being around people. "I'll go talk to him." She said before walking over to Stanford, who seemed a little unease. "Hi. What're you here for?" She asked. "I…I was told that there was a musical contest so I could perform my violin solo." Stanford said with a soft tone. "You play the violin?" Agura asked. "Yeah. I learned to play when I was a kid." Stanford said. "Why are you way over here instead of with us?" Agura asked. "I…have an isolation problem. I feel unease when I'm around other people." Stanford said. "But you seem to be okay around me." Agura said. Stanford just blushed and looked away. Agura smiled.

Meanwhile, back in the Battle Zone, Vert and Olivia observed the Sark from their cover. "You know, Liv, some backup would be nice." Vert said. "I know. But what kind of backup would we require?" Olivia asked. "I don't know. Someone to do a little recon, someone with ranged attacks, someone with…a little muscle." Vert explained while looking at Zug threatening one of the Sark with his 3 drill fingers. "Yep. Some muscle would definitely help." Olivia agreed. But just then, Zemerik detected their presence. "I detect something." He turned and spotted their heat signatures. "Organics. 2 of them. They have the key!" Zemerik called, getting Zug's attention along with the rest of the Sark. "Uh oh." Vert said. "This is not good." Olivia said.

"Stop the organics!" Zemerik ordered. The Sark drove towards Vert and Olivia. But Vert activated his blades and slashed the Sark as he drove ahead with Olivia following. But then Zug ran up and hopped onto the Saber. "Zug will smash it!" He shouted. But Vert opened up his cockpit and knocked Zug off, running him over. But then 6 more Sark leapt onto the vehicles just as Vert opened up the portal with the Battle Key. Zemerik shouted in anger as Vert and Olivia drove into the portal.

Meanwhile, Stanford was playing his violin for the others after Agura requested it. He was playing the N. Paganini Caprice no. 5. When he finished, he gave a bow and everyone applauded at his performance. "That was so beautiful." Sherman said. "Classical music always brings tears to my eyes." Rayona said, wiping a tear. "Can you play another one?" Talia asked. "Oh. Y-Yes. Of course." Stanford said. But before he could start playing again, the portal opened back to Earth, and Vert and Olivia came flying out of the portal. The group scattered to avoid getting run over. The Sark flew off the vehicles just as they landed. But they recovered and ran for the Wheeler siblings. "Who wants to help us destroy a pack of killer robots? Hands up!" Vert called as he and Olivia exited their vehicles. "Vert? Olivia?" Ivan asked in surprise. "Don't everyone run in all at once!" Olivia exclaimed as 2 of the Sark pounced her and Vert.

Zoom used his bow and shot 3 arrows at once as they impaled one of the Sark, damaging it. The Sark holding Olivia lifted her up. "Get your rusty hands off her, you cold, dirty bot!" Ivan exclaimed, grabbing the Sark by the throat, prying it off Olivia and tossing it down. Rayona ran up to one and slammed its head with an iron wok she brought. "Hey, Cheerleader, you wanna take a shot?" She asked. "More than anything." Talia said. She did several quadruple flips towards the Sark and jump kicked it. "Not bad for a cheerleader." Rayona said, holding up her hand. "Go team!" Talia cheered, giving her a high-five. Vert tried to struggle free by headbutting the Sark, but he hurt the back of his head. "Hey, Metalhead!" Horace called, making the Sark look up at him. "You into hit-n-run games?" He smacked the Sark's head with his controller, knocking it down. Unfortunately, the controller was damaged. Stanford tried to back away, but he bumped into another Sark. The Sark grabbed him by the shirt and lifted him up. But Sherman bashed the Sark, making it drop Stanford. "Hey, bro! Throw me!" Spinner called, leaping for his brother. Sherman grabbed Spinner's wrists, spun him around and tossed him at the Sark. Spinner landed right on the Sark. "Bullseye!" He cheered. Vert and Olivia ran for the portal, but one last Sark stood in their way. But then Agura leapt onto the Sark's shoulders, ripped its head off and kicked in back through the portal. Vert reached out and the key zipped into his hand, closing the portal. "Uh, Vert?" Olivia said. Vert turned and saw the group staring at them. "Uh, hi." Vert said nervously. "How's it hanging?" Olivia asked with an unease tone.

The Sark head came out the other side of the portal and landed at Zemerik's feet. Zemerik picked it up and activated its replay function. It showed Vert and Olivia on Earth before Agura ripped off the head. "It appears that I have a new world to conquer." He said before crushing the head.

"Everybody okay?" Vert asked as everyone gathered up. "Who are you?" Agura asked. "What in the world were those things?" Spinner asked. "Where did you come from?" Sherman asked. "What was that portal thingy?" Talia asked. "More importantly, who's gonna reimburse me for my favorite controller?!" Horace asked, holding up his busted controller. "Actually, the more important question is…where did you guys get these cool rides?" Ivan asked. "It's a long story, Ivan." Vert said. "You know him?" Spinner asked. "Yeah. We're old friends." Olivia said. "Okay, before we change anymore subjects, can we get back to the questions at hand here?" Rayona asked. "Chill, guys. Let's head back to our garage, grab a few sodas and Sage and TRINA will explain everything." Vert said. "Sage? TRINA?" Agura asked. "Who are Sage and TRINA?" Ivan asked.

Later, Vert and Olivia brought the group to their base, introduced them to Sage and TRINA, and were told about what was going on. "So, let me get this straight. You tricked us into coming here because you need our help to save the world from killer robots, mutant animals and dark fantasy creatures?" Rayona guessed. "That is correct." Sage said. "Why us?" Agura asked. "Yeah, we're not exactly anyone special." Talia said. "Because each of you bring something unique to the table. And you are the best of the best." Sage said. "So, we're like superheroes?" Zoom asked with interest. "Exactly. If we don't work together, our homes and everything we believe in will be destroyed." Vert said. "He's right. You lot are civilization's last and greatest hope." TRINA said. "So, what do you say? You with us?" Olivia asked. "If this means saving the planet, I'm in." Agura said. "We're in." Sherman and Spinner said. "Totally!" Zoom exclaimed. "Count me in." Talia said. "Me too." Rayona said. "For you, Wheelers, anything." Ivan said. "I'm with you too." Horace said. Stanford shrugged with uncertainty. "You get a cool car." Vert said. "It's quite the bonus." Olivia said. "I…I guess I'll give it a shot." Stanford said with an unsure tone.

Meanwhile, on the Vandal home world, Kalus and Krocomodo were training. "Strike harder, Krocomodo!" Kalus exclaimed as he struck Krocomodo's staff and swept him off his feet, making him the victor. "It is only through combat that a Vandal becomes stronger." "Captain Kalus!" Hatch called as he rushed over with a handmade transmitter. "I managed to intercept a Sark transmission emanating from…a new world." He played the transmission, showing Vert and Olivia just before Agura tore off the Sark's head. "The sub-creatures! We shall ravage their home world!" Kalus declared before punching the transmitter, shattering it. "I spent years building that." Hatch said with sadness.

Meanwhile, in a dark forest land, the dark elf leader of the Dwellers, Sauron, had also intercepted the Sark transmission on his crystal ball. "So, it would appear that there is a new world for the Dwellers to seize control of." He said as he stood up and approached his 3 generals. A goblin named Fidget, an ogre named Krongo, and a werewolf named Fury. "Fidget! Krongo! Fury! Prepare the Dweller army. We have preparations to make." Sauron said.

Meanwhile, back in the base, Sage prepared 8 other power cells. "8 vehicles with 8 functions remain." She said as she prepared the yellow cell. "Zoom, you are nimble and an excellent Muay Thai fighter." The rest of the team watched as Sage's machinery outfitted Zoom into a yellow suit and built his vehicle. It was a yellow motorbike with 2 sets of blue tires both front and back. "Awesome wheels! The Chopper!" Zoom said, naming his vehicle. "You will be the team's Scout." Sage said.

Then she turned to Agura. "Agura, you possess great hunting skills. You will be the team's Special Operations Officer." She said, preparing the green cell. Agura was outfitted into a green suit and was built a green truck with spider leg wheels. "The Tangler!" She named.

Sage then turned to Sherman and Spinner. "Sherman, you possess brains and brawn. And Spinner, you possess unapparelled hacking abilities and hand-eye coordination. You both shall be the team's Strategic Tactical and Tech Support." She said. The Cortez brothers gave a high five as Sage prepared the blue cell. Sherman and Spinner were outfitted into blue suits and were built a big blue tank. "The Buster!" They named.

Sage then turned to Stanford. "Stanford, your expertise with sound and deadly accuracy makes you the team's Artillery Expert." She said. "It's…an honor?" Stanford asked, feeling nervous as Sage prepared the purple cell. Stanford was outfitted into a purple suit and was built a purple muscle car. "Uh, the B-B-B-Boomer? No, the P-P-Pulsator? No. The…Reverb!" He named.

Sage then turned to Talia. "Talia, you possess the talent to be supportive and inspirational. You shall be the team's Support Enforcer." She said, preparing the aqua blue cell. Talia was outfitted into an aqua blue suit and was built an aqua blue open-roof jeep. "The Pom-Pom Pouncer." She named.

Sage then turned to Rayona. "Rayona, you possess knowledge of recipes for health and additives. You will be the team's Medical Officer." She said, preparing the jade cell. Rayona was outfitted into a jade suit and was built a jade grill carriage. "The Steaming Wok." She named.

Sage then turned to Ivan. "Ivan, you have the will to put others' safety before your own. You will be the team's Precaution Safety Officer." She said, preparing the maroon cell. Ivan was outfitted into a maroon suit and was built a maroon sand car. "The Dune Cat!" He named.

Sage then turned to Horace. "Horace, you possess great sharpshooting skills and knowledge of enemy patterns. You will be the team's Sharpshooter." She said, preparing the orange cell. Horace was outfitted into an orange suit and was built an orange rocket car. "The Defender." He named.

Sage then turned to Vert and Olivia. "And Vert and Olivia, you both display qualities of bravery and fearlessness. You both shall be the team leaders." She said. "You shall be known as…" "The Battle Force 10!" Vert and Olivia named as the team joined them. But then Spinner started counting heads. "Uh, aren't there 11 of us?" He asked. "He's counting vehicles." Sherman corrected. "I knew that." Spinner lied.

Later, the team settled down for dinner at the local pizzeria, Zeke's Diner. Stanford sat at a different table to keep his distance away from his team. "So, let me get this straight. When we're not fighting creatures from other dimensions, we pretend to be test drivers for spectrum motors?" Spinner asked. "That's the cover story." Vert said. "A pretty good one too." Olivia said. "Look, I'm all with the saving the world thing. But what else is stopping us from just taking our new sweet rides and hightailing out of this middle of nowhere town?" Horace asked. "The Sark, Vandals and Dwellers are tyrants. And tyrants must be stopped." Agura said. "I agree. I've basically grown up around tyrants back home. And I'm not about to turn tail while people like that are out to destroy the world." Rayona said. "She's right. As a wise man once said. With great power comes great responsibility." Talia said. Just then, the bell from above the door jingled as the door opened. "Speaking of tyrants." Vert said with disgust at who had entered the diner. Sheriff Johnson. "Vert and Olivia Wheeler." He said venomously, smacking Horace in the head. "We're not here to cause any trouble, Sheriff Johnson." Vert assured. "Yeah. We're just enjoying a plate of Zeke's cooking." Olivia agreed. But Johnson wasn't convinced. (AN: When is he ever?)

Just then, the team's new watch communicators beeped. "Stormshock opening in t-minus 3 minutes. Repeat." Sage said through the communicators. "What was that?" Johnson asked with suspicion. "That there's an alien communicator!" Zeke, the diner owner and a good friend of Vert and Olivia, said. Apparently, the man has a huge belief of the existence of extraterrestrial lifeforms. "Relax, Zeke. They're just high-tech watches from Japan." Vert said. "Yeah. Latest model released." Olivia said. "You better not be up to any funny business, Wheelers." Sheriff Johnson warned, getting into Vert and Olivia's faces. "Yes sir. No funny business." Vert said with a mock salute. "Guys, we gotta jet." The team got up from their seats as Sage repeated her message. "The invasion has begun!" Zeke called as the team left, not thinking of anything else to say before clearing his throat. "Watches from Japan. Yeah, I'm telling you, Grace. The aliens are out there." Grace, one of his waitresses, shook her head in amusement.

On the Sark home world, Zemerik gathered his Sark army as a Stormshock opened. "PREPARE TO ATTACK!" He shouted. The Sark drove towards the Stormshock.

On the Vandal home world, Kalus gathered up his Vandal army. "Vandals! Follow me to the portal!" He commanded, gesturing to the Stormshock.

On the Dweller home world, Sauron gathered up his Dweller army. "My Dwellers! Forward to the Stormshock!" He shouted, drawing his sword and thrusting it towards the Stormshock.

In the base, the Battle Force 10 revved up their engines and drove for the exit one at a time. "I wish you all had more time to prepare. Do your best to retrieve the Battle Key and seal the portal from our enemies." Sage said. "Nothing like on the job training." Vert said. "Just the way we like it, V." Olivia said. Then the Wheeler siblings drove out of the base to join their team. "Huh. Not too much pressure there. I think." TRINA said.

"Battle Force 10, it's Storm Riding Time!" Vert called as the Battle Force 10 drove towards the Stormshock.

Wow! Wasn't that amazing?! The start of the Battle Force 10. Vert and Olivia Wheeler are brought into a 10-vehicle team by a blue Sentient named Sage to save the entire Multiverse from the evil forces of the Vandals, Sark and Dwellers.
