The Devil of Light: Chapter 02

The Underworld

After the Devil Civil War, many places in the Underworld became uninhabitable due to the different battles taking place in them.

Forest burned to the ground, mountains turned craters, lakes turned pols of poison, cities so damned and cursed that it was impossible living in there.

But it also gave opportunities to different kinds of parties to make use of these places... if they could beared to live in those damn places.

One of those places was once the battlefield of one of the biggest battles in the history of the war. Spells, weapons, and more were used there.

In the end, the last descendent the Aim clan, a clan who were recognized for their powerful Poison Magic, empowered by methods unknown, launched an attack so devastating that killed most of the devils in the area and made the land uninhabitable.

Nowadays, if one were to dare to enter these poisonous lands, they would be able to see an enormous mansion in the middle of a poison mist.

Those were the Headquarters of the Zed Company, a group of mercenaries led by the heir of one of the seventy-two Pillars.

Jaden's office

Jaden teleported directly to his office after the meeting with Grayfia and the two younger heiresses.

He slowly walked toward his desk before sitting behind it and started rubbing his eyes.

Metting Grayfia after so long took a toll on his mental state. All those feelings that he had managed to bury in himself all those years ago were starting to resurface.

Removing his hand from his face, his eyes wandered around his office.

It was a large room with wood wall panels and a window facing the courtyard. The walls on the sides were filled with cabinets and different paintings.

At the side of the desk, one could see two leather armchairs for guests. Behind the desk were two libraries filled with books on all kinds of topics. But what caught his eye was a painting in the middle of them.

It was a simple painting with six people in it, four males and two females.

The first person from the right was a tall man whose head was completely bald and had a goatee on his chin. He had a lazy expression on his face. The second was an attractive young man with light blue eyes and green hair that was slicked back. He had a contemplative look, as if he had a thousand thoughts in his head. At his right and a little lower in the center of the painting appeared the first woman of the group. She was a beautiful girl who looked to be in her late teens with black hair, tied into twin tails and blue eyes. She was smiling with his arms spread in the air. Above her and right in the center, the third male appeared. He was a handsome man who seemed to be in his early 20s with shoulder-length crimson hair and blue eyes.

But what caught his eye were the last two members of the group.

The first was a male in his 20s with shoulder-length black hair, fair skin and golden eyes. He was smiling while one of his arms was around the waist of the last member of the group. She was a beautiful young woman appearing to be in her early twenties with back-length silver hair that featured a long braid on each side with small blue bows at the ends, while the rest was let down. She was smiling with her head resting on the man's shoulder.

Grayfia and Jaden.

He smiled bitterly at the picture. Those were the times when they were fighting for a world free of war, a place where the devil race didn't have to fight a war started by ancestors long time dead.

Those were simple times, until...

He grabbed armrests with enough strength to start breaking them.

Until politics and treason force him to abandon them. The war was over but those that betrayed them were still alive, forming part of the same government that his friends were in charge of.

"My friends," Jaden said, chuckling bitterly.

The same friends that prevented him from doing justice in the name of the troops that died because of that bastard. The same friends that fought against him just to save that old geezer.

"Not anymore," he said, bitter.

He just couldn't keep calling them friends after what happened.

'If that is true,' a voice in his head said. 'Then why do you still have that painting?'

He shook his head at that thought. He didn't have an answer.

He kept looking at the painting, remembering those times.

And what Grayfia did...

He was glad that she was alright after all these years, he really was. But after what happened between them...

He shook his head again. He would not think about those events. He would probably have to talk to her eventually, especially with the new babysitter job that he has now, but that would not be today.

As he was having these throughs, the office's door opened.

Entering the room, a beauty appeared. She was a very beautiful woman with large breasts, purple hair and eyes, pale skin and two large gold-looking horns protruding from the sides of her head and pointing upwards. Upon her head was a white band that separated her hair, framing her bangs from her hair below the band. Worn upon her forehead was a small circular symbol with a small dot on the inside and surrounded by several dots around the top. Tied around her neck is a small white-colored strap. Meanwhile, her attire consisted of a very revealing blue-colored leopard-printed kimono, bearing decorative marks on her shoulders. The kimono was wrapped around her torso with a thick, decorative yellow ribbon that tied behind her back, and her outfit was complemented by thigh-high socks that reveal her heels and toes.

She was Seilah, a medium-class devil that he reincarnated long ago and was now one of the Pawns of the Third Squadron of the Zed company as well as his personal assistant.

He chuckled at the thought. 'Squadrons.' He wondered what the old bastard would think if he knew what he had been doing for the last five centuries. Probably tried to declare him an enemy of the devil race and have him executed.

"Welcome home, master," said Seilah, distracting him from these thoughts. "How was your meeting with the Sitri Family?" She asked him, calmly.

"Everything was fine," Jaden said, giving her a forced smile. "But it looks like I may have to involve myself in devil's affairs once more," he said.

With a concerned look, she circled the desk and put a delicate hand on her shoulder.

"Are you okay master?" She asked, worried.

He rested his hand atop hers and, looking her in the eyes, said.

"I will be, don't worry," he told her, embracing her hand.

She smiled a little at his gesture.

"We will be with you, master, no matter what road you take," she said, affectionating.

"I know," he told her.

And it was true. He and his peerages have gone through so much together that his fate in them was absolute.

And the number of his companions just keeps growing.

"But for now, I need a distraction. Is any of the squadrons doing a mission?" He asked her.

Seilah seemed to think for a minute before answering.

"The Second Squadron departed in a 'protection and elimination' mission a couple of minutes ago, if you wish to accompany them," she told her.

He thought about it for a minute. Killing a couple of targets will help him clear his head and he could also evaluate the new members of that squadron.

"Of course," he heard a sensual voice near his ear. "If you need another kind of... distraction," Seilah said as she circled his chair and sat atop his desk. "I am sure I will be able to help you," she finished with a sly smile.

He just looked at her up and down. Rubbing her legs together, her cheeks were red with excitement while her breathing was doing wonderful things to her chest.

By Lucifer, it was a tempting offer, he thought, getting hard. But in his actual mental state, he would not be an adequate partner.

With a regretful voice, he said.

"As much as I would like to -and trust me I really do- I think it will be better if I accompany the second squadron," he said, making her sulk.

"As you wish," she said getting off the desk. "The second squadron has gone to..." she said, informing him of the mission

The moonshine fell on the forest as the wind blew up the leaves that had left the trees. The ground rumbled at the beat of hundreds of feet stomping it.

Near the grove, one could see a small village where a small population of humanoid beings watched in fear as a legion of giants got closer to their home.

The inhabitants of this small town were similar to humans except for their pointy ears and their great beauty. They were elves, forest dwellers with a great affinity to nature and physical strength. Often called 'the beautiful people', they were constantly hunted down for their gorgeous and strong bodies, and their abilities to grow any kind of plant life at an accelerated rate.

Most of the time, they were able to defend themself from their attackers thanks to their abilities, but this particular town had no more healthy warriors living in it. Most of their fighters were injured, defending their people from the first waves of these monsters that had invaded.

These monsters were called Titans based on the words of the enemy. Based on the feeling of wrongness that the overly-sensing elves could discern, they were artificially created.

These Titans greatly resemble nude human beings. They are bipedal creatures with the same number and arrangement of limbs and features one would expect in human beings. Ranging from 3-15 meters in height, they are all deformed by human standards to a greater or lesser degree, ranging from minor abnormalities in proportions (enlarged head, small limbs, etc.) to apparently lacking skin and subcutaneous tissues. They also had exceptionally wide mouths with an enormous number of small, square teeth. The vast majority of these Titans have a masculine body shape, although all of them lack reproductive organs. While most Titans had a masculine appearance, some Titans were seen to possess feminine facial features, although retained a masculine body shape.

Based on the past few days of battle, the elves knew some of their fighting capabilities. They were mostly mindless and couldn't think of great battle strategies. But that didn't make them less deadly. Adding to his great bodies and great strength, they were deceptively fast and agile. They also didn't feel pain, which made subduing them even more difficult. Many Elf warriors turned their backs on the, apparently, defeated ones only to be attacked once more by these terrors. Furthermore, they seemed to have hollow stomachs, which enabled them to capture the elves' warriors they defeated.

That was apparently their objective, to capture elves and sell them as slaves to the best buyer.

To make things worse, there appeared to be a few special Titans that were different from the rest. These ones were, bigger, stronger and smarter than the average with special skills. They were the ones leading the rest of them on the battlefield.

From their observations on the enemy base, they knew the elves they captured were brought to their camp and locked in cages, waiting for transport. The master of the Titans was an eccentric man who had long silver hair, a cleft chin, a stubble beard, and a mustache. He wore a purple coat, a pink scarf, a tall yellow hat with flower patterns around the bottom, and his trademark star-shaped glasses. His name was Disco and he appeared to be a slaver.

If the elves wanted to not only defend their village but also rescue their captured comrades, they needed help.

The leader of the elves, knowing that they can't drive out the invaders on their own, decided to contract the service of a group of devils. They were, supposedly, the strongest and most loyal mercenaries that one can employ.

Having already spoken with one of their agents and signed the contract, they were just about to summon them when the last wave of monsters appeared.

It came so suddenly that took the elves by surprise. Those monsters were a mere minutes away from the town.

"How much longer?!" Asked urgently one of the elves. He was a tall, elderly man with gray hair and no beard. He wore a gray, fur-lined cloak, a long, dark blue tunic, gray pants, and black boots. His name was Pennheim and he was the leader of this town.

"One minute! It is not instantaneous because we have to summon more than one devil!" Yelled one of the summoners. The magic circle started to shine more and more.

Pennheim turned around to see the Titans getting closer and closer to the village's entrance.

Cold started to creep into his body.

'We are not gonna make it!' he thought.

Just as the first titan was about to cross the gate, minuscule red drops started to appear in the air. More and more of these drops start to materialize and begin to join. Together, they formed a dome that began to cover the town. It managed to do it just as the Titans arrived at the entrance.

The Titans didn't stop themself and just crashed against the red dome. Every part of the Titans that came in contact with the dome was cut without compassion. Pennheim didn't understand why until he saw attentively the dome. It was spinning; spinning at such high velocity that it tore apart everything that touched. He could also see what the red liquid was. It was blood.

Having a feeling of who caused it, he turned around. In all the commotion, he didn't realize that the summon had finished. In the middle of the summoning circle, a group of women appeared. Their ages looked to vary from what appeared to be twelve years to early thirty, but he knew that devils, like elves, had a much larger life expectancy compared to humans. They didn't appear to physically have much in common except that they were all very beautiful. One of the women separated from the group and began to approach him with an elegant pace.

She appeared to be eighteen years old and had pale skin, long black hair that had an intricate braided bun at the back, and ruby-red eyes. She was wearing a black and gold embellished attire with a long cape. She was also using round hoop earrings.

Thanks to her eyes and the aura that emanates from her, he can identify her as a vampire. Or rather, she was, before turning into a devil.

She stopped in front of him and, with an elegant mellow voice, said.

"Greetings, we are the representatives and Second Squadron of the Zed Company. I am Erga Kenesis Di Raskreia, Queen and leader of this squad. Are you the leader of this town?" she asked, stoically.

Gulping at her introduction and finally knowing that she was the one who made the blood dome, he responded.

"Y-yes, I am," he says nervously. "I am Pennheim. It is an honor to meet you," he said, giving her a bow.

He didn't react with surprise at his bow, as if she was expecting it.

"Likewise," she said with a distant tone. "Now, normally I would introduce the rest of the squadron but time is of the essence," she said, looking at the Titans near the gate. "We will postpone it, so, for now, follow our instructions and let us do our job without any interference from you or your people. Is that understood?" She asked, imperiously.

Nodding nervously, he responded.

"Y-yes, of course," he said stuttering.

"Good," she said. Without another word, she turned around and marched toward the rest of her peerage.

Pennheim just watched her go, without saying anything more. He turned around and looked at the Titans near the gate. Seeing that they had stopped trying to enter the village, he let out a sigh of relief.

'Everything is gonna be fine,' he thought.

Raskreia stopped in front of her squadron and said.

"Listen up everyone, the enemies are surrounding the village so we will split into six teams," she said, professionally.

The members of her squadron stopped talking between them and focused on her.

She calmly scanned the group. They were all listening to her, waiting for her orders. She was content with the level of professionalism that all of them were showing.

Well, most of them.

She had three new recruits in her squadron, three new Pawns to be exact. And while two of them were paying attention, one was giving Raskreia a challenging look.

She internally sighed at this. Why couldn't her beloved choose more normal members for his peerages?

It wasn't an unusual event, so she didn't let it bother her too much. When new members entered one of the peerages, they always joined thinking that they were the strongest woman, and tried to pick a fight with the more senior members, usually the Queen of say peerage.

Fortunately, it didn't take long for them to realize why the Queens were in charge of the squadron.

Focusing on her mission, she looked at the group doctor and, with a serious tone, told her.

"Retsu, the elves have several injured people; your task will be to treat them and prepare for any possible wounded member of our group. You can ask the village chief, Pennheim, where their wounded are," she said, indicating to the doctor who Pennheim was.

The other woman gave her a warm smile.

"Of course, Raskreia, I will treat them immediately," said the doctor, departing. She was a slender and very youthful woman with blue eyes and black hair. She wore a white haori over a black shihakushō and an obi, which hid her well-endowed bosom. Her hair was long and worn as a large braid down the front of her body. She had a large string attached to the sheath of a sword and carried it over her shoulder.

Her name was Retsu Unohana, a doctor and one of the Pawns of the second squad.

Turning her look to the group once more, she continued.

"Next, Candice, and Camie; you two will stay in the village, guarding it, making periodic perimeter checkings, and acting as reinforcement if necessary. Tatsumaki, stay here with these two, monitor them, and make sure they do their job," she said to the three women, already knowing what will be their reaction.

"I refused!" said one of them. She was a tall and well-endowed young woman, with long, light-green hair. She had blue eyes, prominent eyelashes and thin, lightning-bolt-shaped eyebrows. Her attire consisted of a double-breasted jacket, which she kept tied up to reveal her midriff and unbuttoned, as well as removing the fabric on the sides, to display her cleavage, and a pair of short-shorts which were held up by a black belt with a green heart buckle attached to the side. She also wore a white cap on her head with gold trimmings, which featured a black peak and the Zed insignia emblazoned on its front, and a pair of bulky-shaft heeled boots.

She was Candice Catnipp, a demigod daughter of Zeus, one of the newest members of the squad, and, at this precise moment, Raskreia's personal problem-child.

"Why are you letting me aside?! I should be in the front line killing those monsters!" She shouted at Raskreia.

This was the problem with kids these days. Cero respect for their superiors.

"I also refused," said with her arms crossed what appeared to be a middle-school kid. She was a petite woman, with emerald green eyes, and matching green hair that naturally curled up on the ends. She wore a form-fitting V-neck black dress with a high collar, long sleeves, and four high-cut leg slits that showed off her shapely long legs and black low-heeled shoes.

Her name was Tatsumaki, a powerful esper, and a Bishop.

She had also one of the biggest egos of all the members of the Zed company.

"Why should I waste my time babysitting two inexperienced brats when I could be more useful to this mission if I was in the front line?" She arrogantly said, making Raskreia sigh.

Candice, not happy with how Tatsumaki called her, shouted.

"Hey, who are you calling a brat, you damn midget?!" Candice insulted her, starting to let loose her demonic power. The rest of the group began to smell ozone in the air with all the electricity emanating from her.

But before she could do anything else, her body froze, as a green aura surrounded her, paralising her body.

"What did you just call me?" Tatsumaki said with a terrifying smile, also letting her demonic power loose. Her energy was starting to dwarf the one that Candice had been showing.

Candice's expression fell and, looking at the power emanating from the older devil, she started to become nervous. It was something that could have been foreseen. Before joining their group, Candice hadn't encountered any obstacle that she couldn't crack with her strength.

But compared with the level of power that their Squadron had, she wasn't anything special yet. She had potential, yes, but that takes time to develop; and right now, in front of Tatsumaki, she is like an ant trying to intimidate a lioness.

Not wanting this to escalate, Raskreia started doing the same. A red aura started to surround her and with a simple thought, it formed a red pillar of light, covering her and the other two devils. Once the pillar disappeared, the energies of Tatsumaki and Candice were subdued.

"Enough," she said, sternly. "We are in the middle of a mission. Act like it," the vampire said to the other two women.

Tatsumaki simply nodded her head, without saying anything.

Candice, on the other hand, was looking at her in astonishment. It was to be expected, this was her first mission, and aside from training, she had never seen Raskreia use her powers.

Taking advantage of her silence, Raskreia said.

"Candice, you are staying behind because this is your first assignment and your control over your powers is not good enough to not cause needless damage to the environment," Raskreia said.

Candice lowered her eyes and clenched her fists. Raskreia could see that this situation was frustrating her.

Trying to comfort her, she said.

"Candice, look at me," the younger girl raised her eyes. Giving her a reassuring smile, Raskreia said. "When we are on a mission, each member of our peerage can do their tasks because we trust that our partners will do theirs. And that also applies to you. Don't think that just because I tell you to stay behind, it means that your task is not important. This is an essential role and if not you, then someone else would do it," she said, giving her an encouraging smile. "Don't worry, your time will come, but for now, we all need you to do your assignment and hold on to this place in case something happens to us. Do you understand?" She said.

Candice remained silent for a moment before saying.

"Fine, boss," she said, crossing her arms.

Raskreia smiled a little. So stubborn.

She then turned her eyes to the other devil. She knew the reasons why Tatsumaki protested and it was not just ego.

"Tatsumaki, you need to stay here because if something happens to me and my blood dome falls, you are the only one who can make another dome to protect this place. Plus, with your abilities, you could locate and reinforce any of our members if they're in trouble," she said.

The other woman gave her a contented smile.

"Of course, when you put it like that, it is obvious that I am the only one that can do this job. Don't worry, leave everything to me," she said pridefully.

Raskreia resisted the impulse to roll her eyes. Really, this woman and her ego.

Moving on, she looked at the third member for this task.

She was a young woman of average height with straight, fawn-colored hair that reached just below her shoulders and large, dark brown-eyes. She had noticeably plump and glossy lips as well as a quite curvaceous figure. Her clothes consisted of a simple black catsuit with blended patterned lines and a zipper running down the middle, left slightly down to reveal her cleavage. She wore white cuffs around her wrists and white heeled knee-high boots, patterned with gray lines, as well as a loose black collar lined with metallic plates. She also wore a blue and orange hat with the Zed insignia on it.

She was Camie Utsushimi, one of the newest members and a Pawn.

"Camie, I need you to make several illusions of the town. Can you do it?" She asked.

Camie gave her a peace sign, and with a carefree smile, she said.

"No worries! I can make tote handle up to three copies of the town, like not a proble," she said, making Raskreia's eyebrows twitch.

Camie's illusions may be excellent for her age, but the way she speaks...

Trying not to think about that, she looked at the rest of the peerage.

"The rest of us will split into five teams, whose task will be the total annihilation of the monsters called Titans," she said. "We have all read the reports that the elves have recompiled after their battles, so you all know what they are capable of. Nevertheless, stay alert to any possible surprise."

"Team one, made up of Yuri, and Mei, will go north," she said looking at the two women.

"Got it, boss," said the first woman. She was a beautiful fair-skinned girl in her early twenties with flowing ankle-length (it almost falls to her ankles) dark-colored hair that was tied into a ponytail by a red ribbon on the left side of her head with bangs swept to the right side, piercing red eyes, a very lithe figure, and an above average sized bosom. She wore a white long-sleeved jacket, black shirt, red tie, red skirt, and black tights. She had the crest of their group on her tie.

Her name was Ha Yuri Zahard. She used to be a martial artist with an unusually dense body before she transformed into one of the Rocks of the second squad.

"Ufufu, of course," said the second woman. She was a tall, slender woman in her early thirties with fair skin, green eyes, and ankle-length, auburn hair styled into a herringbone pattern at the back, a top-knot tied with a dark blue band, and four bangs at the front. She wore a long-sleeved, dark blue dress that fell just below the knees. It seemed to be closed at the front with a zipper and is kept open on the front-right side from the waist down. The dress only covered up to the upper part of her arms and the underside of her breasts. Underneath, she wore a mesh armor that covered slightly more of her upper body than her dress. She also wore a skirt in the same color as her dress and, underneath those, mesh leggings reaching down over her knees. Around her waist, she wore a belt with a pouch attached to the back on the left along with high-heeled sandals, shin guards reaching up over her knees, dark blue nail polish on her fingers and toes, and was usually shown with purple lipstick.

She was Mei Terumī, an ex-assassin who fell in love with Jared, after failing a contract to kill him. Now she was one of the Pawns of the squad.

"And avoid destroying too much of the forest," Raskreia said, looking at Yuri.

"Why are you only looking at me?!" This one whined about.

"Because you are the only one she is speaking to," responded Mei, smiling. At the angry look the other woman gives her, she added. "Besides," she said. "If we do a good job, Lord Jaden may reward us," Mei said, liking her lips sensually.

That stopped Yuri from doing anything more, except blushing. Even after all these years of being part of his harem, she still couldn't stop reddening at those thoughts.

Some of her companions chuckled at her reaction, making her forget his embarrassment and start releasing her demonic energy in anger.

But before things could escalate, Raskreia intervened.

"All right, that is enough," she ordered. "Let us continue. The second team will be formed of Erza and Tsukiumi. You two will go south," she said.

"Of course, my queen," said solemnly the only redhead of the squadron. She was a young woman with long, scarlet hair, brown eyes, and a slender, voluptuous figure. Her attire consisted of a custom-made armor, a blue skirt, black boots, and diamond-shaped silver earrings.

Her name was Erza Belserion, the daughter of one of the older members of the Zed group and one of the Knights of the second squadron.

"Hum, it will be done," said pridefully the other voluptuous woman while crossing her arms. She had long blonde hair and blue eyes. She was dressed in a black dress with a white underdress which showed her cleavage, a black and white choker, and long brown boots with black stockings.

She was Tsukiumi. She, along with several other women, was part of an experiment made by the Japanese-German governments during the Second War World until she was rescued by Jaden. She was another pawn of the second squadron.

"Good," said Raskreia, nodding at them. "The third team, made up of Mirajane and Cassandra, will go east."

"Of course," said with a smile a slim young woman with large blue eyes and a curvy, voluptuous body, with large breasts. She had long, white hair that curled slightly at the ends, with two bangs framing her face and reaching down to her chest. She was wearing a sleeveless, ankle-length maroon dress with a pleated skirt. The chest was adorned by a large, pink bow, and similarly colored trimmings frame the rather ample neckline, acting as straps, and circling the waist. She also wore high-heeled shoes that matched her dress and accessorized with a small chain necklace with a blue oval gem attached to it, and a bracelet made of white flowers circling her right wrist.

Her name is Mirajane Strauss, an ex-devil slayer and a Bishop of the second squadron.

The other woman simply nodded her head with a neutral expression. She was an incredibly beautiful woman with very long and straight silk-like blonde hair that almost touched the floor pulled back by a black barrette, gold eyes, very large breasts, and a very buxom figure. She also had a green protuberance on her collarbone. She was dressed in an elegant and low-cut white and lavender dress, with cross patterns around the hem of her raiment.

She was Cassandra Aoi. She, along with the rest of her family, was a test subject during the Second World War before being rescued by Jared. After that, she accepted his offer to become one of the Pawns of his peerage.

"The fourth team," Raskreia continued. "Will be formed by Karasuba and Yamato. They will go to the west."

"Ufufu, of course," said the first woman with her eyes closed. She was a tall woman with long light grey hair tied in a ponytail, a lengthy single strand that extended forward and downwards, and narrow grey eyes. She wore a tight black and white leather top secured by belts, a black miniskirt and stockings, black boots, and a grey haori with the Zed crest printed on it in black worn loosely over her shoulders. In her waist, one could see a nodachi scabbarded in a black sheath with a white diamond pattern stitching across the body.

She was Karasuba, and just like Tsukiumi, was part of an experiment made during the Second War World until she was rescued by Jaden. She was also another pawn of the second squadron.

"Finally, is my time to fight! Thanks, boss!" said cheerfully the second person, leaning a kanabo on her shoulder. She was taller than an average human, with long, white hair that was bound between orange rods into a ponytail at the back, which faded into aqua green and then blue the further down it went and ended in rectangular locks. She also had large, orange eyes with prominent eyelashes, wore gold hoop earrings on both ears, and had horns on the top of his head which were mostly red, but gradually became more flesh-colored toward the base. Her outfit was a sleeveless white garment with the symbol of their group on both sides and an indigo, wisp-patterned bottom half. He wore a pair of red hakama pants and sandals, and, a large purple and white nio-dasuki behind his back.

Her name was Yamato, a half-oni who was recruited recently for Jared as a Pawn after she was exiled from her family.

"Yamato," Raskreia said, getting her attention. "Listen to what Karasuba tells you. You, just like Candice, are doing your first mission but unlike her, your attacks don't affect a large area. That is the only reason that you are not guarding the town with her. So be careful and not let your guard down," she told her, not wanting the young girl to make mistakes due to overconfidence.

"Go it, boss," said Yamato, more seriously.

Satisfied with her response, Raskreia addressed the four teams.

"As I said before, the task of those teams is to eradicate all the giants in their direction. If you need assistance, send a distress signal, and reinforcements will arrive," she said looking at the four teams. "And remember, keep the damage to the land at a minimum," she said, once more looking at Yuri.

"Will you stop doing that, I am not that clumsy," she said crossing her arms and growling.

Letting out a small chuckle, Raskreia said.

"But seriously, these woods are sacred for the elves, so all of you, keep the destruction of your surroundings at a minimum," she said, eyeing all the members of the peerage. "Those four teams will attract the Titans away from the village and once they are far enough, they will engage and eliminate them. Do you understand?" She asked.

Seeing them nod, she looked at the last two members of the squad.

"Shigure, Nelliel, and I will go directly to the enemy camp. Once there, we will kill any Titan that is guarding it, rescue the captured elves and apprehend or eliminate the slaver responsible for this," she told them.

"Ok, no... problem," said one of them, with an emotionless face. She was a beautiful, fair-skinned young woman with long waist-length raven hair tied back in a high ponytail, light purple eyes and a slender frame yet remarkably curvaceous figure. She was dressed in a small pink kimono and long purple stockings. Underneath, she wore a chainmail and a black strap under her chest to keep the chainmail in place. She was carrying a tsuba-less Nodachi strapped to her back in which a makeshift grip of bandages wrapped around the hilt.

Her name was Shigure Kōsaka, a weapons master and the last pawn of the second squad.

"Of course, but please, as I have told you, just call me Nel," said the second woman with a calm voice. She was a tall, curvaceous, and well-endowed woman with long waving green hair and hazel eyes. Notably, she had a skull mask on top of her head with a pair of curved horns and a crimson line that ran across her face. She was wearing a white, skintight outfit with tan fur lining around her hips. She donned white gloves with hoof-shaped gauntlets on her wrists that ended in tan fur, green fur sleeves extending to her elbows, red pauldrons on both shoulders, long white leggings that reached up to her mid-thighs, and shoes with heels shaped like ram hoofs; her upper arms and upper thighs are left bare.

She was Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck, but she liked to be called Nel by her comrades. She was the last Rock of the Second Squadron.

Ignoring her words, Raskreia addressed the whole group.

"Any questions?" she asked. Receiving refusals, she continued. "In that case, you can begin," she finalizeed, extending her twelve wings. The rest group did the same, the number of wings varied, from eight to twelve as she did. All except the new members, who only had four.

Without more words, she, along with the rest of her squadron, took off to begin the mission.

Hope you like it.
