(March 21st 2024)—-
I had been in the void for a very long time, pretty much since I did what I had to do in Lunatea. I just floated upside down in a black void and to be honest, I forgot whether or not I had my eyes open. I have no control over where I go when I'm in the void, or when I leave for that matter. I'm glad to have gotten great friends in the worlds I've been to in the past. Even though it hurt worse than a band aid being ripped off when I had to leave, I'm still glad I got to know them. Suddenly, without warning, I saw a blinding light. So many thoughts rushed through my head; will I meet new people or reunite with someone I knew? Will this world be beautiful? What kind of inhabitants will be there? My thoughts were cut off by the pain in my eyes, going from complete darkness to pretty much seeing the sun. It took so long for my eyes to adjust; I honestly didn't know whether or not I was in the new world. After a few minutes of nothing but whiteness, I saw… something. It was just dunes. Sandy dunes, the wind picked up some sand and carried it from one dune to another.
"It's okay," I whispered to myself. "You don't always know what to do. You'll find out. Just start walking." It was tough. The heat was intense and occasionally I'd breathe in sand being carried by the wind. I kept walking, there had to be something, at least that's what I kept telling myself. My legs were getting tired. My feet would sink in the sand, and then I had to take another step, lifting my foot out of the sand. I'd close my eyes while I walked and for a brief moment, and it made me feel like I was floating on a cloud. Then I'd open my eyes and that made me more tired. Almost like it took physical effort just to open my eyes. I couldn't keep going on, I needed to find at least a rock where I could sit down. Wait a minute… I see a town! I see someone! I got more energy, so I was able to run over to the town. There was this guy standing near the entrance of the town. He just watched me as I approached the entrance. He was holding a gun, but he was probably harmless, maybe just a guard?
"STOP! STOP OR I'LL SHOOT!" He yelled at me, so I stopped. He walked towards me with his gun pointed at me. When he got over to me, he kicked me down, used his foot to roll me on my stomach and put his foot on top of me, to stop me from moving. He called for his 'brothers' and three more guys came over, dressed a little bit different from the first guy. They started talking over each other and I could only hear a few words, like "unseen," "Goddess," "fictional character," yadda yadda yadda. Some more things were said, then one of them took out a syringe and tossed it to the guy pinning me down. I'm honestly pretty squeamish when it comes to needles, so I started trying to wiggle myself out from beneath his foot. The other two came over and held my arms down, just as I was starting to make progress in escaping. The first guy put the syringe in my neck very slowly and injected it into me. I started seeing stars, everything got really bright and blurry, then it all went dark.

I woke up in a very dark room that had brick walls. There was nothing in there except for a window with bars instead of glass. There was some light coming through, but from what I could tell, the sun was setting. I got up to see if I could find my way out. That was when I found out the hard way that I was chained to the wall. I did have some room to move my arms because they weren't attached directly to the walls. I heard a door open in the distance, then just slow footsteps. With each echoey footstep, my heart began beating faster. Finally, this fat guy in a striped shirt came up to me. He had three others with him, one was very tall, nicely dressed and had long brown hair. The other one was a girl who had pink hair and these weird hair ornaments that look like D-pads, like from a video game controller. Finally, there was a yellow guy with long spiky hair and long ears on top of his head. Anyway, the fat guy inhaled through his nose for a pretty long time, then followed it with a sigh. "Open the door, Akechi. I'd like to talk to the new arrival." The tall well-dressed guy opened the door with a key, then the fat guy, the pink haired girl and the yellow guy came in. The well-dressed guy, whose name is apparently Akechi, closed the door behind them, but didn't lock it. He stood there with his arms crossed.
"You appear to be lost… and scared. Hmm… rest assured, you are in good hands." As the fat guy was saying this, he kept inching closer and closer to me. He slowly started getting onto his knees so he could be at eye level with me. I wasn't sure if I should respond, so I stayed on the safe side and kept my lip zipped. The closer he got, the worse everything became. His hair was so greasy. His eyes had this... craziness seated deep within them.
"He might be willing to help us cleanse this dimension, Father." Said the yellow spikey guy.
"Hmm… yes Sonichu, my dearest son. You might be right." I was confused by the yellow guy's name, so I thought 'what kind of a name is Sonic-chew,' but I was so out of it I ended up muttering it. Sonic-chew got very angry, he probably heard me. Sonic-chew punched me in the stomach, knocking all the wind out of me. My vision went dark for a few seconds, and when I came to, I saw the fat guy scolding Sonic-chew.
"Now now, Sonichu, my beloved son, he may be of great use to me and the kingdom of CWCville, learn to get along with our possible soldiers.
"Yes Father, Sonichu was very very bad." Said Sonic-chew, who apparently refers to himself in the third person.
"Forgive me, black furry one," Said the fat guy with a creepy smile on his face, "Allow me to introduce you to your new friends. This is my son, Sonichu."
"Yeah, Sonichu's name is Sonichu, so get it right you little sack of-" Sonichu was cut off.
"Sonichu, don't be mean, or you will be forced to eat the punishment pickle. Anyway, this is one of my wives, Neptune." He reached over and put his arm around Neptune and pulled her close to him. She gave me a glare. I don't wanna speak too soon, but she seems like a lil' brat.
"And finally, this is Goro Akechi, the detective prince as well as the owner of this prison. He will be the one taking care of you for a while, until such time as you are fit to be one of the CWCville honor guard. Any questions?"
I was very unsure about asking this, but I had to. Maybe being in this 'Quickville' honor guard was the reason I was sent to this dimension. I opened my mouth after a while of hesitation.
"What exactly would I be doing in this honor guard?" I asked. The fat guy put his hand under my shoulder and helped me stand up. A few seconds after I stood up my head started feeling hot and tight. My vision faded to black, except for a little pinhole in the middle. I hadn't had any food or water since I came to this dimension. Anyway, the fat guy walked me over to the window and pointed.
"Witness the cleansing of dimensions that's about to happen in front of your very eyes and know that you will be a part of it!" It took me a few seconds to get my vision back, but after I saw what was in front of me, I wish I had stayed blind. There were people being lined up against a wall, being punched, kicked and abused by the so-called 'honor guards.' They took aim at everyone against the wall but then this one guy started yelling and pointed at two of the prisoners. The guards then pulled two out of the lineup, one guy and one girl. They then shot everyone else against the wall. I never even imagined anyone would be so cruel along with making others feel so helpless. All I could hear was the two survivors yelling in agony at watching their friends gunned down in cold blood. I could not be a part of this. I had to stop this whole thing! This is it. This is why I was sent here. The next thing I did, I honestly didn't regret. I punched the fat guy in the face as hard as I could. It was the kindest way I could say, "No, I won't be in your honor guard, now frick off." He laid on the floor holding his face for a while, while making dying animal noises. Akechi pinned me on the floor to further restrain me, while Neptune and Sonichu were comforting the fat guy. He finally stood up, looked at me, and made the weirdest raging sound ever, I don't even know how to describe it.
"I would never want you in my honor guard!" The fat guy raged. "You are a failure, and unable to do what this world needs! Akechi, knock him out. He shall die by flamethrower tomorrow!" Akechi hit me on the head with the butt of his gun. My head hit the floor, I was too weak to even lift my head. I felt the gun hit my head a few more times before I lost all form of consciousness.
(March 22 2024)_—-
The next morning, I was woken up by two armed guys, wait… was it evening or morning? Doesn't matter. What did matter was that I was screwed if I couldn't find a way to escape. Anyway, they took the shackles off me and each one grabbed one of my arms. I was able to walk at that point, but I was so much smaller than they were so they kind of ended up dragging me along. I was thrown against a wall with large blood splatters all over it. This was where they lined people up and shot them before. This guy walked out with a welder's mask and a flamethrower. He paced very slowly in front of me, eyeing me the whole time. I knew he was trying to make me nervous. I didn't care. All I knew in this dimension was suffering and cruelty. Honestly, putting me out of this misery would be the kindest thing that these monsters could do to me. He aimed the flamethrower at me as the three guards standing near him looked at me with a face that I wanted to slap right off of their cheeky faces. I heard a gunshot off in the distance, and it startled me. It apparently wasn't part of my execution since it had the four guys squabbling. I wasn't really focused on what they were saying because I was focusing on this little flame that was shooting out of the flamethrower's backpack. I soon noticed it was getting bigger. One of the other guards noticed it and started freaking out. I figured the best thing to do would be to hit the deck, so I jumped onto my stomach and hid my head in my arms. I heard an explosion.
I looked up and saw the charred remains of the flamethrower, and the three guys laying on the ground. I was in shock, about a million thoughts were running through my head. I then heard one of the guy's radios.
"RUN! PICK UP A GUN AND RUN!" I picked up the radio.
"Who is this?" I asked.
"I'll explain later. Pick up one of their guns and head for the gate! I'll meet you there!" I didn't have a choice, so I picked up one of the guns and ran towards the gate. The gate was rammed through by a truck, and it was headed right towards me. Suddenly a bullet went through the windshield and hit the driver. This caused the truck to veer out of the way and crash into the wall. Guys started jumping out, so I pointed my gun at them and squeezed the trigger for dear life. The gun was jumping everywhere. I killed maybe five or six of them before my gun stopped working. I ran and hid behind a wall and called the mysterious guy on the walkie. "My gun won't shoot anymore!" I cried out as bullets were whizzing past me.
"Your magazine is empty! Grab a new one out of someone else's gun then put it in yours! After you put the new one in, you have to grab the handle on the side of your gun, pull it all the way towards you, then just let go, it'll go forwards on its own! Now RUN!" I ran out of cover and picked up a new gun instead. There were more guys coming into the courtyard on foot. I peeked my gun out from behind cover and squeezed the trigger. The gun was jumping a ton and I kept missing. The guy on the radio then gave me very sound advice; "Short controlled bursts!" That's what I did, and they started dropping like flies. Two more were left before my gun stopped working again.
"Alright," The guy said over the radio. "Don't panic. You are getting a visitor." I saw a cable attached to the wall I was behind, and someone ziplined down to me. I finally got a good look at the guy who was on the radio. He was a pretty tall guy with gray hair and some sort of black school uniform. He brought his gun up and looked at me. "Follow me." He started running, and as he was running, he picked up another gun and threw it towards me. I dropped the gun I had and caught the one he threw just in the nick of time. I ran behind him as fast as I could, and we got to the front of the gate. Another truck came towards us, but this one had a guy manning a giant gun on top. He started firing at us to keep us pinned behind cover. Three guys rounded the corner. I very quickly took all three of them out, then the tall guy leaned out from behind cover and killed the gunner. He then ran to the truck, opened the driver's door and pulled a guy out. "Get in. We're getting out of here." I was all too willing to drive anywhere but here. I'm just not too sure I can trust this guy yet. I don't know who I can trust anymore. He did help me after all, he can't be too bad. I got in the passenger side, and it has never felt so good to sit down and take a load off.
"So, who exactly are you?" The tall guy asked. I was kind of afraid to answer, so I kind of answered his question with another question.
"Why did you help me?
"I've been going from prison to prison for two straight days now. I happened to find you, you looked like you were in trouble, one thing led to another, I saved you." He said in the stoic tone I've ever heard, but it sounded like he wanted to do good here. That made me feel safe answering his first question.
"Sorry to change the subject," I started, "My name is Klonoa. I'm a dream traveler. I go from reality to reality and help fight evil. By the way, thanks for saving me." He just looked at me briefly, nodded his head and smiled a bit. Literally one second later, his face went back to the stone-cold look again.
"My name is Yu Narukami. Since I saved you, I need you to do something for me."
"What would this 'something' be?" I'll admit, I can be naïve at times but I'm kind of scared of what Yu's gonna ask for.
"I've been going from prison to prison looking for my little sister, Nanako. Technically she's not my sister, she's my cousin. We have a brother-sister bond though. She was captured by Chris Chan shortly after we came to this dimension. They killed my Uncle and took her. I was able to break free and escape, but I vowed that I could set her free. I can't find her. Help me find Nanako and take down Chris chan.
"Who's Chris Chan?" I asked
"Did you not meet him while you were in prison? He's the fatso who thinks he owns this dimension. He always parades around with his posse of jerks.
"Oh yeah, I did meet him." I recalled. "I saw with my own two eyes a bunch of innocent people get massacred against a wall. If taking down Chris Chan means stopping something like that from happening again, I'll help you."
Yu smirked. "Thank you Klonoa. I'll take you back to my camp. You need some rest." We drove for a very long time. I'd look out the window and remember how much I struggled with each footstep I took. My legs hurt just thinking about it. I soon found myself dozing off a few times. Almost in an instant the truck stopped. We were in front of a house in the middle of nowhere. The house looked like it had been bombed or something in the past, because half of the house was destroyed.
"Here we are." Yu said in his normal stone-cold manner. "It's not much but at least we're safe here. Get some water and sleep on that sleeping bag in the corner. I have some planning to do, so don't bother me." Yu sat down at a table and there were stacks of papers and maps on it. He was clearly very determined to get his sister back. I drank a ton of water (finally, I really needed it) then I laid on a sleeping bag on the floor. It took me a little bit of time to go to sleep. While I was waiting to go to sleep, I laid there traumatized, not about what happened to me, but what happened to all those people against the wall. I want to find the two survivors. Maybe they're in a prison somewhere? I want to save them. I have to save them. I WILL save them!
