"Will my wings come back?" asked Moxxie.

Stolas paused where he was standing outside of Moxxie's room and asked, "Pardon?"

"My wings? Are they coming back?" asked Moxxie.

"Yes," Stolas said. "Don't worry. They'll be back."

"I'd be fine not seeing them again ever," Moxxie complained. "I wish everything could go back to normal."

"Everyone who has had bad things happen to them has wished the same thing," Stolas said reassuringly. "But if Blitzo's faith in you is any indicator, I do believe that you'll be able to face this head on."

Moxxie smiled gratefully.

"Now, let's get you into your room," Stolas said, opening the door. "I think you're going to enjoy the surprise I have for you."

"Yes, your highness," Moxxie said as respectfully as he could to fight the sadness he was feeling.

When Stolas opened the door, Moxxie was surprised to see not only his lunch but also his friends.

"Hey, honey!" Moxxie called out getting to his feet.

"Millie!" Moxxie cried, running to his wife and giving her a hug. "How was your day?"

"A bit messy," Millie said.

"More like shitty," Blitzo said with a scoff.

"Hi," Loona added without looking up from her phone.

"How was your day?" Millie asked.

"Not too good I'm afraid," Moxxie replied.

"Awww, what happened, baby?" Millie asked, sitting Moxxie down on the bed next to her.

"Well, I just wanted to explore the gardens that Stolas allowed me to see," explained Moxxie. "But then some imps made me go gather vegetables for Stolas' party. Then I got seen by his elder demon guests and they tormented me."

"Oh, hell, I'm sorry, sweetie," Millie said, rubbing his shoulder.

"Dammit, Moxxie," Blitzo said sympathetically. "What happened?"

"I had left the vegetable garden and was heading to the courtyard to give the imps their vegetables when one of the goetic demons called me over and asked for some vegetables," explained Moxxie. "I tried to explain to Andras that I needed to wash the vegetables, but he thought I was being rude. Prince Stolas tried to stand up for me and it worked. But then, somehow Andras figured out I was the traitor and things just kinda escalated from there."

"I'm sorry, darling," Millie said, resting her head against Moxxie's.

"Hold on a second," Blitzo said. "Stolas, if you're divorced, why are you even having people over?"

"Octavia still needs to spend time with her family, even if my ex-wife has to be present," Stolas explained from the doorway. "But that's not important now. Moxxie, when are you going to tell them about your wings?"

"WHAT?!" everyone yelled at once.

"Stolas!" Moxxie yelled in frustration.

"What? It won't be long until those wings are permanent. It's better that they know sooner rather than later, especially if they plan on becoming cherubs themselves," explained Stolas.

Stolas then teleported the foot bracelet onto his wrist and the wings sprouted on Moxxie's back.

"Oh, my God!" Milled said with her mouth hanging open while Loona snapped some pictures. "You've got actual wings, baby."

"Yeah, you look like a Christmas tree topper," said Blitzo.

Moxxie groaned and hid his face in his hands.

"Awwwww, Moxxie, honey, you don't need to be embarrassed," Millie said, rubbing his wings. "I think they're just beautiful. The wings look better on you than they did on those cherubs we fought before."

"You really think so?" Moxxie asked, rubbing his arm uncomfortably.

"I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true," replied Millie, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"Stolas, what the fuck is going on?" Blitzo asked.

"He's transforming, Blitzo," Stolas explained. "Why do you think the cherubs were so eager to bring him to Heaven?"

"Does that mean he's going to change colors?" Blitzo asked.

"Not till he reaches the other side," said Stolas. "Though according to my father, the imps when they were cherubs didn't look much different than how they look now."

"That's surprising," Loona said, looking at her phone.

"Not really," Stolas said. "It isn't your appearance that makes you hold or unholy. It's the heart."

Moxxie held onto his jacket nervously.

"Don't be embarrassed, baby," said Millie, wrapping an arm around Moxxie. "I think these wings are absolutely darling."

"You do?" Moxxie asked.

"Yes, they're just adorable!" Millie gushed.

Moxxie smiled as he wrapped his arms around Millie. The wings started fluttering again and the couple soon started hovering.

Blitzo pulled out his phone and began filming.

"Blitzo, what are you doing?" asked Moxxie.

"Filming," Blitzo replied.

"Why?!" asked Moxxie in annoyance.

"Because it's adorable," Blitzo gushed.

"Blitzo!" Moxxie yelled. "Why are you like this?!"

Blitzo snickered and said, "Come on. You know you like this."

Moxxie rolled his eyes in exasperation.

Millie held on more tightly to Moxxie to get his attention and said, "Oh, honey. This feels just magical."

"Really?" Moxxie asked with a blush. "You think that?"

'Yep, now fly me to the moon," Millie said, wrapping her arms tightly around Moxxie's shoulders.

"Okay, I'll try," chuckled Moxxie.

Moxxie focused his energy to make his wings flap harder so that he could fly higher. Very quickly, his wings fluttered them higher as they chuckled all the while.

"Be careful not to hit the ceiling, babe," said Millie.

"I'll try," Moxxie said. "But I don't know how to control these wings."

"Come on, Mox," Blitzo said. "There's no time like the present."

"Blitzo, you are not helping," said Moxxie with a sigh while Loona snapped some pictures.

"Sure, I am," Blitzo said. "I'm capturing some precious moments."

All Moxxie could do was chuckle and give a playful eyeroll. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't starting to find Blitzo's antics as funny as Millie did.

Millie gave Moxxie a kiss on the cheek which made him blush even brighter.

"So, Stolas, will Moxxie develop any more powers we should know about?" asked Blitzo, taking a break from his photography.

"Plenty if left unchecked," Stolas explained. "You see, this bracelet on his foot is also a magic inhibitor. We elder demons keep these bracelets on converted imps to keep them from transforming completely. Without them, these newborn cherubs would be able to create portals to heaven without the use of a grimoire."

Moxxie did a doubletake and said, "I'll what now?"

"Cross dimensions without the use of a grimoire," Stolas repeated. "That's the primary reason imps must wear magic inhibitors."

Moxxie started hyperventilating anxiously. His breaths were shallow. His head was spinning. Tears were forming at the corners of his eyes.

"Moxxie?" Millie asked. "Are you okay, baby?"

"Oh, God, I think I'm having a heart attack!" Moxxie cried.

"It's a panic attack, sweetie!" Millie reassured. "Just take a deep breath!"

Moxxie's wings flapped even harder and more erratically than before causing him and Millie to fly around in circles all over the room.

"Moxxie baby, it's okay! I'm right here! You're gonna be okay! Just try to breathe! Moxxie!" cried Millie, desperately trying to calm her husband.

Moxxie's wings flapped even harder and more erratically than before causing him and Millie to fly around in circles all over the room.

"Moxxie, what the hell is the problem?" asked Blitzo. "Call your ass down."

"I can't, sir," Moxxie cried. "I am gonna create a portal that sucks me into heaven and takes me away from you, Loona, and Millie and I won't be able to stop it!"

"You're not doing that yet, ya flyin' moron!" Blitzo argued. "Now calm the fuck down!"

"I can't!" Moxxie cried mournfully, clutching Millie tightly against his chest.

Millie got in Moxxie's face and yelled, "Moxxie baby, it's okay! I'm right here! You're gonna be okay! Just try to breathe, Moxxie!"

Moxxie kept hyperventilating and flying in circles. His skin and eyes began glowing.

"What the fuck?!" Blitzo cried, trying to run towards Moxxie before Stolas put his hand on his shoulder.

The room started rattling.

Loona stepped back towards the door and her dad.

Blitzo looked at Stolas whose eyes were growing wide and nervously said, "Stolas…?"

Before Blitzo could finish his sentence, a dimensional tear appeared in front of them and then disappeared. Another one appeared and vanished from the other side of the room. Then another tear did the same. These tears had light peaking through them, letting the group know that they were portals to heaven.

Terrified, Millie cried out, "Moxxie!"

With his eyes still glowing, Moxxie looked at his wife and cried back, "Millie!"

Moxxie dropped Millie onto the bed as he stopped speeding and began glowing more brightly as the room continued to shake and rattle. His eyes turned bright white and the electricity in the room went out as he glowed brighter in a fluorescent light.

"Blitzo, what the fuck is going on?!" Loona cried.

"I don't know! You care to explain, Stolas?" yelled Blitzo.

"He can't control his magic," Stolas explained with a touch of fear in his voice. "He's opening a portal to heaven."

"Moxxie!" cried Millie from the bed as she tried to walk towards him. "Moxxie!"

Blitzo dashed across the room and tried to run at Moxxie, but he was pushed by an invisible force.

"Moxxie, cut this out right fucking now!" cried Blitzo.

"I'm trying, sir!" Moxxie cried. "I can't!"

"Stolas, how is he doing this?!" Blitzo demanded.

"Goddammit, he's gaining magical abilities at a quicker rate than I anticipated!" Stolas cried. "His emotions are too agitated! They're triggering his magic!"

"Oh, shit," yelled Blitzo, jumping out of the way as a portal formed right where he stood.

Blitzo hopped on the bed and Loona and Stolas did the same as the room continued to shake.

"Moxxie, sweetie, look at me!" Millie cried desperately.

"Millie?" Moxxie asked.

"Yes, baby, I'm right here!" Millie cried walking closer to him. "I'm right here. Please just let me get close to you!"

"I don't know how to stop!" Moxxie cried in a panic. "How do I stop?!"

More shiny dimensional tears appeared and disappeared around the bed than before. They appeared and vanished in brief flickers of life around the room as it began to shake.

"Stolas?!" Blitzo cried nervously.

"Worry not, Blitzo," Stolas reassured, rubbing his lover's head. "I know what to do. We just need to get this bracelet back on Moxxie's foot to inhibit his magic. We need to do it now or he'll rip open an interdimensional gash than neither he nor I can close, but I need to get close to him."

"Leave that to me," Blitzo said. "Millie, Loona, gather 'round."

Once Millie and Loona gathered closer, Blitzo clung to a pillar of the canopy and explained, "Okay, ladies, we need to all pounce on Moxxie at once."

"Blitzo, he's pulsating more energy than a fucking power generator. How will we get close?" asked Loona.

"Not to mention, how do we do this without hurting him?" pressed Millie. "He's stressed out enough already."

"Just follow my lead," said Blitzo. "Now, come on!"

The two ladies nodded and watched as Blitzo climbed onto the pole of the canopy closest to Moxxie and launched himself onto him.

Blitzo wrapped himself around Moxxie and screamed, "Latch the bracelet onto him now!"

"Blitzo?" Moxxie asked, his glowing eyes looking down at his boss. "Blitzo, is that you?"

"Moxxie, try to keep your ass in this dimension for a bit longer," Blitzo pleaded. "We're here to help."

"I don't think I can," cried Moxxie.

"I am not accepting failure, Moxxie!" Blitzo replied, clinging to him tighter. "Come on, ladies. I need help weighing him down!"

Moxxie hovered higher, but Millie and Loona jumped on top of Moxxie to keep him from flying any higher.

Stolas floated up and latched the bracelet onto Moxxie.

Instantly, Moxxie's color returned to normal, and the lights of the room came back on. The tears disappeared and Moxxie fainted onto the bed.

"Moxxie? Moxxie?!" cried Millie.

"He's alright now," Stolas said. "He's just exhausted from using so much more energy than he's accustomed to."

"Can we stay with him?" Millie asked.

"Of course," Stolas said, picking him up.

The other members of IMP pulled back the covers. Stolas laid him down and the other imps tucked him in. Millie held one hand and sat next to him.

The group sat on the bed around Moxxie and watched him sleep.
