Case 7: The Blood in the Wind
In the office of his mansion, Ryubee was speaking with Nastassja and Dr. Ver through video chat on his laptop. They were explaining the situation to Ryubee about the Nephilim's current status.
"I see. So it will only be a matter of time until the Nephilim will go berserk." Ryubee said.
"Yes, but hopefully Shirabe and Kirika's mission will succeed without failure." Nastassja told him.
"You really do have faith in your girls don't you, Nastassja-san?" Ryubee asked and she huffed as she turned away from him. "But anyway, Dr. Ver, how is your search for the Frontier."
"It's a slow and steady process. But I'm getting close to finding its general location. But of course it wouldn't be possible without your aid, Ryubee-san." Ver told the leader of Museum.
"Oh there's no reason to flatter me. I'm always willing to help, especially if it's to find a long lost city that was built by an ancient civilization." Ryubee said with a smile on his face.
"I see that you're still as passionate about artifacts and ancient cultures as ever." Dr. Ver said.
"But don't worry. Once we've located the Frontier we'll let you know right away. But don't forget we still expect your aid when we initiate the plan." Nastassja reminded him.
"But of course. I am a man of my word after all. When the time arrives, you'll have the full support of both Museum and the Sonozaki family at your disposal." Ryubee said with a hand on his chest.
"Good until then." Nastassja said as she and Ver ended the transmission.
Ryubee turns around to look at the sunny sky through his window.
"Now, I wonder how today will turn out from here?" Ryubee said with a smile.
Unknown to him, is that his eldest daughter Saeko was listening in to his conversation with the members Finé with her ear on the door, before she smiles herself.
"That makes both of us, Otou-sama." Saeko said before she left.

(Mitsuki and Philip are seen walking together, Mitsuki putting on his hat and Philip closing his book, and they pointed at the screen before the title appears in front of them.)

(Mitsuki is in his office going through his case files, before Kanade handed him a cup of coffee that he happily accepted.)

(Philip was having his usual interesting research moment as he was writing on his whiteboards, before he accidentally wrote on Chris's face as she was walking towards him, Philip flinched before Chris slaps on his face. Then images of their friends and allies appeared one at a time.)

(Ryu is seen looking at his Accel Memory before he walks forward.)

(W, Accel, Hibiki, Tsubasa, and Chris are seen surrounded by Noise before they turn to each other and nodded before they charge at the Noise battling against them.)

(The mysterious Shroud is seen walking in a dark alley before she turns to the screen showing her white bandage covered face with black sunglasses.)

(The Nephilim is in its cage with Ver looking at with an evil grin before the Nephilim roars. Then images of the Kamen Riders and Symphogear users' enemies appear one at a time, before finally showing Ryubee looking above the Gaia Well.)

(Shirabe wearing her black Symphogear armor fires from her head compartments, then to Kirika swinging her scythe around and finally to Maria wielding her lance as she uses her HORIZON†SPEAR attack.)

(The three black Symphogear users are standing atop a stone pillar looking down upon W, Accel, Hibiki, Tsubasa, and Chris as they get ready for battle. Then an image of a younger Maria reaching out to her sister Serena appears, and then shows the present day Maria looking at Airgetlám in sadness before a teardrop falls from her eye and onto the pendent.)

(W in his Cyclone-Joker Form is seen doing some kicks and punches as he was spinning around, and changes into his Heat-Metal swinging his Metal Shaft around, and soon changes to his Luna-Trigger firing with his Trigger Magnum, and changes to his Fang-Joker attacking with his Arm Saber, and the final spin shows W in a new and unknown form.)

(Now both Kamen Riders and Symphogear users alike are seen standing side by side as the Nephilim in its final form looking down at them, as the floating city the Frontier raises to the moon.)
When Mitsuki and Philip got off the stage they soon joined up with their friends as Shirabe and Kirika walked on the stage holding a mic in their hand.
"Tsubasa-san, Kanade-san, those two are…" Hibiki said.
"Yeah, but what are they thinking?" Tsubasa asked.
"Yeah, I mean coming here was risky enough but only two of them." Kanade said.
"Just what are they after?" Chris asked.
"You should ask, Philip, he should know something." Mitsuki said which made their friends turn to the bookworm.
"Wait, you knew they were here and you didn't say anything?" Kanade asked and Tsubasa soon realized something as well.
"Don't tell me...Was that the reason why you were acting so odd when we met earlier?" Tsubasa asked.
"Maybe...Was that really wrong?" Philip asked.
"Yes it is!" His friends shouted at him which caused Philip to back away with his hands in front of him.
"Okay, okay, I get it. I'm sorry, but I've made sure to figure out that they're not here to cause any harm." Philip told him.
"Look even so…" Mitsuki mutters as he places his hand on his face.
"Umm...you guys…" Miku calls out which made her friends turn to her. "How do you know those two?"
"Well...umm…" Hibiki mutters before Mitsuki sighs as he explains.
"They're Symphogear-wielders, who declared war on the entire world, and we've fought against them a few times." Mitsuki said.
"Then they're with Maria-san? The girl who was controlling Noise at the concert hall?" Miku asked.
"The very same. But why are they here for?" Kanade wonders.
"Well…" Philip said, getting their attention. "I wasn't able to get the full details, but they needed your pendants for something called the Nephilim."
"The Nephilim?" Hibiki siad.
"Okay, but the hell is that?" Chris asked.
"Not sure...but…" Philip said before he remembers that creature they saw with Dr. Ver during their raid on their old hideout. 'Could that creature be this Nephilim? If so does it have more importance instead of being a weapon?'
(Meanwhile)
At the shipyard of the city, an abandoned warehouse was serving as a temporary base for Maria and her group.
A group of armed and masked men were seen heading to the warehouse quietly and in hiding as they slowly approached it.
Inside the tiltrotor, Maria and Nastassja were seated in the same room with Nastassja on her wheelchair and Maria on one of the chairs as she was in deep thought as she remembered her friends' words to her.
"Each time you use your power, Finé's soul awakens more. That means she's erasing your own soul. That cannot happen."
"We'll do it. Protecting Maria is our fight!"
Maria's eyes were twitching which Nastassja noticed as she called out to her.
"Do you regret it?" Nastassja asked as Maria raised her head before she shook it.
"I'm fine, Mom...I shall fulfill the task given to me." Maria told her before they heard the alarms going off.
Maria stood up in worry as Nastassja brought up the monitors and saw the armed men sneaking into their temporary base.
"This time, it's pursuers from our home country." Nastassja said.
"They found this place already?" Maria asked in shock.
"Even with heretical technology, we are still a group of amateurs. That we could escape trained professionals would be too much to hope for." Nastassja said.
"Then what should we do?" Maria asked.
"We strike before they get inside." Nastassja answered before she turned to the black Gungnir user. "Maria, eliminate them."
Maria was surprised to hear that.
"Eliminate them…" Maria mutters. "But they're just normal people! One hit from Gungnir, and…"
"And that's what I'm telling you to do." Nastassja told her and Maria was surprised once again before she lowered her head. "It was the same during the concert broadcast. Maria, are you afraid of staining your hands with blood?"
"Mom, I…" Maria mutters as she looks up at her as Nastassja gives her a cold look and Maria turns away from her.
When Kirika and Shirabe were looking at the audience, the blonde hair girl gave them a wave before she spotted Philip and Chris with their friends and she pulled down her eyelid and stuck her tongue at them.
Chris growled when she does that while Philip chuckles as he scratches his finger on his cheek.
"Okay...I guess I deserved that too." Philip said.
"Kiri-chan, our goal is…" Shirabe said getting her partner's attention before she said.
"To steal the pendants made from relic fragments!"
"Then you don't have to do it this way." Shirabe told her.
"I've heard that if you win this contest, they'll grant you a wish." Kirika said as she turned back to the two detectives and their friends. "We can't let this chance slip-"
"Fine!" Chris shouted as she stood up and faced the two girls who were her enemies. "If you want to fight, I'm ready!"
"Chris-chan, just calm down please." Philip told her.
Shirabe sighs. "I'll go along with you this once. But don't forget. This is-"
"I know." Kirika said as she turned to her partner. "I'll make sure it goes great!"
(Back with Maria)
"Resolve yourself to this, Maria." Nastassja told her.
But Maria wasn't sure on what to do here.
The lights in the auditorium turned off as the spotlight shines upon Kirika and Shirabe as the host speaks through her mic.
"Now let's hear you sing! Um…"
"Tsukuyomi Shirabe…"
"Akatsuki Kirika!"
"Okay! Let's hear you sing 'Orbital Beat.' Of course that's a Zwei Wing song!"
Both Tsubasa and Kanade were surprised to hear that.
(Cue: ORBITAL BEAT)
The music begins to play, as Hibiki and Miku recognized it as well.
"This song!" Hibiki said.
"It's Tsubasa-san and Kanade-san's…" Miku said.
"Those two…" Kanade said.
"What are they trying to do? Is this supposed to be a provocation?" Tsubasa said in wondering before Kirika and Shirabe began to sing.
Inside the hideout, explosions had appeared beside the tiltrotor as Maria and Nastassja could hear it as the room shook around them.
Nastassja looked at the monitor and saw that the explosion had taken out one of the cameras and covered two of them in smoke.
"It's beginning." Nastassja said before she turned to Maria. "Go, Maria!"
Maria closed her eyes as she wondered what to do.
"Ikusen oku no inori mo…" Kirika started off first.
"Yawaraka na hikari de sae mo…" Shirabe song next.
"Subete nomikomu jeiru no yō na yami no mashō!"
"Karuma no yō ni…"
"korogaru yō ni!" Kirika sings before she and Shirabe went back to back.
"Nagedashite shimae nakute! Ima watashi rashiku kakenukete!"
"Todoke todoke takanaru parusu ni tsunagareta kono Burning heart!"
"Tsuyoku tsuyoku kokoro no shiriusu wo tada mitsumeru!"
"Kono yami wo koete!"
As they were singing Mitsuki, Philip, and their friends were in awe of their performance.
The armed men headed towards the tiltrotor, and Maria was still hesitant on what to do before her jaw dropped as she saw three of the armed men were turned to ash.
"Carbonization?" Maria said as she knows there was only one race capable of doing that.
Several Noises are seen charging at the armed men as they fire at them, but their weapons were useless against them as the Noise kills them one at a time, and kills one that tried to run away but failed.
Then they saw Dr. Ver armed with Solomin's Cane standing in front of them.
"Dr. Ver?" Nastassja said in surprise that he's helping them.
"I know I am, perhaps, overstepping my bounds." Dr. Ver said as the surviving armed men aimed their guns around the mad doctor. "But there's no need to use the reborn Finé's Gungnir on opponents like these. I'll deal with them."
Dr. Ver then used the Cane to summon more Noise, the armed men fired at him but the Noise he summoned had protected him from their bullets.
With a swing of the Cane, Dr. Ver created more Noise in front of the armed men as they slowly marched to the armed men as they could only stand and scream in terror as the Noise killed them one at a time.
Dr. Ver created more Noise as he spun around, the armed men fired at the Noise but their bullets were useless as they killed them as well.
The armed men's screams were heard in the room Maria and Nastassja stood as they could only watch and listen as they were killed one at a time, and Maria grits her teeth as she couldn't look away from this massacre.
Nastassja notices the look in Maria's eyes before she turns back to the monitors.

Shirabe and Kirika had finished singing as they strike a pose by raising their arms up, and with that the audience cheering and clapping by their performance.
Kirika smiles that they really like their performance while Shirabe was stunned by this before Kirika waves at them.
Philip was smiling as he was clapping as well but stopped as he noticed Chris giving him a narrow look.
"Tsubasa-san?" Hibiki said as she turned to her.
"Why do fellow singers have to fight one another?" Tsubasa asked as she had a hand on her chest.
"Yeah, I wonder about that too." Kanade said.
Outside of the warehouse there was silence and smoke inside of it, as a group of young boys wearing baseball uniforms were seen riding their bikes to the warehouse.
"This is where that huge noise was coming from?" One of them asked.
"It's probably construction or something, right?"
"If we don't hurry and go, our Coach will get mad…"
The boys soon heard a scream as they, one of the armed men running for his life as a Noise, grabbed onto him and turned him to ash. The boys were left stunned by what they saw.
"Oh?" Dr. Ver said as he walked outside as he saw the boys.
The boys look at him as the mad doctor walks to them with a dark look on his face.
"Don't do it, Ver…" Maria begged him through his communicator as Maria was watching through the monitors. "They have nothing to do with this! Don't do it!"
Dr. Ver then summons several Noises as they charge at the young boys and they were about to kill them...but then they were all destroyed by a blue blur which surprised Dr. Ver and Maria as the blur stopped in front of him and the boys.
"Honestly, I came here to check what the commotion was about, but only to find this instead." Said the Nasca Dopant as he was armed with his sword as he turned at Dr. Ver.
"You…" Dr. Ver said as he narrows his eyes at the Museum Commander.
The boys were left trembling before the Nasca Dopant turned at them.
"You three get out of here, now." The Nasca Dopant told them and they quickly complied as they quickly ran away on their bikes as fast as they could. "Now as for you…" The Nasca Dopant turns at Dr. Ver. "Care to explain yourself, Dr. Ver?"
"I could ask the same about you. I don't recall asking Ryubee-san to send us aid." Dr. Ver said.
"Well, he didn't. I was right around the neighbor when I heard the explosions and gunfire, so I came to see what was going on." The Nasca Dopant said.
"Well...as you can see, I've already dealt with our intruders. But you let three of them get away." Dr. Ver told him.
"You mean those kids? Well sorry about that, but I wasn't going to stand by and let you kill them. I would have nightmares about it." The Nasca Dopant told him, which caused Ver to chuckle.
"Oh please! Like you're one to talk! Your family had its fair share of history of dirtying your hands! How many people had suffered in your blind pursuit of sa-?!" Dr. Ver said before the Nasca Dopant moved behind him and brought his sword to his neck, which caused Ver to slightly tremble in fear as he looked at it.
"I won't deny that we have to dirty our hands for our goal. I had my fair share of them in order to protect my family. But there are certains lines I make when it comes to my city. But don't worry, as long as you honor the agreement you have with my father-in-law, then I too will honor it. But let's be clear here good doctor." The Nasca Dopant said as he whispered in his ear. "If you ever bring harm to my family or to the city I love, then I'll kill you myself. Are we clear on that?"
"C-Crystal…" Dr. Ver nodded as he kept his calm demeanor.
"Good." The Nasca Dopant said as he put his sword away and pats him on the shoulder, and then he walks away from Dr. Ver. "I'll go report this event to my father. You should take this chance to find a new hiding spot as quickly as possible."
The Nasca Dopant soon brought out his wings as he flew away, not noticing that Dr. Ver was glaring at him.
'Just you wait...Once I become the ultimate hero, soon you, Ryubee-san, and even your entire family will have no choice but to bow before.' Dr. Ver thought.
Inside the tiltrotor, Nastassja and Maria had been watching the Nasca Dopant and Dr. Ver's conversation before the Dopant left. Maria sighed in relief that those kids were safe, and while she hated to admit it, she was grateful towards the Nasca Dopant for saving them.
'I guess some of the Sonozakis aren't so bad afterall.' Maria thought.
After he left Dr. Ver and his allies hideout, the Nasca Dopant soon arrived home as he landed in front of the Sonozaki mansion.
The Museum Commander was about to change back into his human form, but then he felt a sharp pain in his chest as he placed a hand on it.
'What the…? What was that?' The Nasca Dopant thought as he wondered what that pain was before he looked down at his chest, but soon felt that it was gone now. 'It must have been nothing.'
The Nasca Dopant changes into Kirihiko as he walks inside of the mansion.
Unknown to him is that Ryubee was spying on him in his laptop through the hidden cameras of his mansion, and when he noticed the sharp pain in his son-in-law's chest he smiled in glee.
"I would appear he's reaching his limit. So how far can you go from here, my dear son-in-law?" Ryubee said.
After they had finished their song, Mitsuki, Philip, and Chris were standing on the stage with Shirabe and Kirika.
"Their lovely voices just might knock the champion off her throne, and the other two challengers, a run for their money. We'll have to see what the judges say!" The MC told everyone.
"Two on one, huh? Fine…" Chris said.
"Chris-chan, just calm down." Philip told her.
Unknown to them is that Shirabe and Kirika were receiving contact from Nastassja as they placed a hand on their ear.
"Our hideout has been located." Nastassja told them which surprised Shirabe and Kirika. "We were able to repel the attackers, but now that they know our location, we can't stay here long. We're going to move, so let's meet at the point I'm about to send."
"But…We might get the pendants soon!" Kirika told her.
"This is an emergency. Obey the orders you've been given." Nastassja told them before she ended the transmission.
Shirabe and Kirika lowered their arms and while they were reluctant about this, they couldn't disobey Nastassja's orders.
"Okay, the judges have given their scores-" The MC said as she turned to Shirabe and Kirika but only to see that they were running off the stage which surprised everyone in the building.
"H-Hey! You're running away?" Chris calls out, as they were running Kirika was looking at Chris as Shirabe was dragging her friend and partner.
"Shirabe!" Kirika calls out.
"I think it'll be okay, since Maria's there. But I'm worried." Shirabe told her and Kirika lowered her head as she was worried as well.
"Now that was unexpected. Those two don't usually run from a fight. Could something have happened?" Philip wonders.
"I think we should worry about that later. We need to go after them." Mitsuki told his partner and Chris and they nodded in agreement.
Tsubasa and Kanade stood up as Hibiku turned to them.
"We'll chase them, Tachibana!" Tsubasa told her as she and Kanade left to chase after Shirabe and Kirika, Hibiki stood up as well before she turned to Miku.
"You stay here, Miku. We might have to fight them." Hibiki told her.
"O-Okay." Miku said in understanding before Hibiki followed her friends, but as she was leaving Miku had a worried look on her face.
"Hibiki...I knew it. This isn't…" Miku mutters to herself.
Kirika and Shirabe had made it outside and they headed to the gate entrance of the academy but soon stopped as a small parade group was walking in front of them.
"Damn it! What do we do?" Kirika said.
Then as the parade had passed by Kirika and Shirabe were about to run but stop as Tsubasa, Kanade, and Mitsuki stood in front of them, the black Symphogear users were about to turn around to away but stop as Chris, Hibiki, and Philip run up behind them.
"Kirika-chan and Shirabe-chan, right?" Hibiki asked and Kirika narrowed her eyes at her.
Shirabe turns to Mitsuki, Tsubasa, and Kanade.
"Six versus two...Oh I'm sorry, maybe it should be five versus two, since one of you doesn't have the power to fight us." Shirabe told Kanade who was offended by that.
"Why you…!" Kanade said as she was ready to give her a piece of her mind before Mitsuki placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Kanade, calm down, they're only trying to provoke you." Mitsuki told her, and Kanade grits her teeth as she lowered her head.
"Well either way, think about what you'll lose if you fight here." Shirabe said as she turned to the students and civilians in the area around them.
"You're going to play dirty like that?" Chris asked. "You looked like you were having so much fun, singing like that…"
"I agree with Chris-chan." Philip said in agreement. "I know you two have your reasons, but you can't possibly tell us you've felt nothing when you heard us singing, or how you two sing up on that stage as well."
Kirika flinches before she gives her answer.
"I just don't want to fight here." Kirika told them which surprised Shirabe as she turned to her. "I know! A duel! I demand an official duel!"
"Why?" Hibiki asked. "There's no reason we have to fight every time you meet us, right?"
"Hibiki…" Mitsuki mutters.
"Whose side are you on?!" Both Chris and Kirika asked at the same time, which surprised them as they turned at each other with a slight blush on their faces.
Philip chuckles to see that. "I can say that you two are at the same wavelength."
"We'll tell you when the duel is to be. So…" Shirabe said as she grabbed onto Kirika's hand.
Shirabe then begins to drag Kirika to the exit to leave.
"Wait, you two," Philip calls out, which makes Shirabe and Kirika to stop as they turn to him. "Before you go I need to know something. Like what is the Nephilim? And what do you intend to use it for?"
Kirika flinches as Shirabe narrows her eyes at him.
"If you really want to know, then you have to win our dual." Shirabe told her before she and Kirika left.
"I swear those two...they're as bad as Maria-san." Philip said before he and the others got a call from Genjuro with the girls' communicator and Mitsuki and Philip's Stag Phones.
"Are you kids together? We've detected a Noise-materialized pattern. It vanished shortly afterward. But just in case, we'll investigate the surrounding area." Genjuro told them.
"Right." They said while Hibiki lowered her head.
"Right…" Hibiki said.
"Well…" Philip said as he lowered his Stag Phone. "I guess it's safe to assume what happened to make those two retreat like that."
Inside the Section Two mobile base, Mitsuki, Philip, and their friends were looking at pictures of the hideout that Maria and her group were using, and pictures of the remains of Noise victims.
"Man from the look of it, it must have been a massacre." Mitsuki said while Philip placed a hand on his chin.
"But it doesn't make sense." Philip said, getting their attention. "Who would launch an attack against Maria-san's group with normal weapons. I mean they should've known they have Symphogear weapons and the ability to summon and control Noise. It just seems too one sided."
"I agree with Philip-kun. This is different from before, but what does it mean?" Genjuro said as this only gave them more questions than answers.
"Commander…" Sakuya calls out getting everyone's attention. "The analysis is back from the Nagata Deep Computing Lab. Displaying on monitor."
They looked and saw two different colored aufwachen waveforms appearing on the monitor.
"Matching aufwachen waveform." Aoi said as the two waveforms line up together and it was a perfect match. "The error bar is below a trillionth of a percent."
Hearing and seeing that shocked Genjuro, the Riders, and the former and current Symphogear users.
"So I guess this only confirms it then." Philip said.
"Yeah...Maria Cadenzavna Eve's black Gungnir is one-hundred-percent identical to Hibiki-kun's." Genjuro said.
"It's the same as mine?" Hibiki said as she placed a hand on her scar.
"But still how is this even possible?" Kanade asked.
"The only possibility I can think of is that, when Ryouko-san was working with the US, she took part of Gungnir and used it to make that." Sakuya theorized.
"Another Gungnir Symphogear, made using the Sakurai Theory." Aoi said.
"That's Ryouko-san for you. Even in death, she's always a step ahead of us." Mitsuki said.
"But it's strange." Chris said, getting her friends' attention. "The US government was after Finé's research. If they have this FIS group and have even made a Symphogear, they shouldn't need it."
"True, but I think there's more going on here." Philip said.
"Given the fact that it's out of control, running wild, we can assume FIS kept tight control of the technology and relic-related information, and is acting on its own." Tsubasa said.
"If that's true, then what is FIS trying to do that's so important that they're willing to fight their own government?" Mitsuki said.
"Well about that," Genjuro said, getting everyone's attention. "I don't think FIS aren't the only ones involved in this. I reason to believe that another party might be working with them."
"Another party? Museum?" Mitsuki asked and Genjuro shook his head.
"No, not them this time. Apparently they had a partnership with a group called the Foundation." Genjuro told them which confused them.
"The Foundation?" Mitsuki repeated.
"Well...That's not exactly cryptic." Kanade said as she rubs the back of her head.
"Philip, does that name mean anything to you?" Tsubasa asked and Philip shook his head.
"No it doesn't. Even if Museum made contact with this Foundation, it's the first time I'm hearing about this. But then again, back then all I ever cared about was making powerful Gaia Memories and didn't bother about anything else." Philip said.
"But it does give another clue." Mitsuki said, getting everyone's attention. "There's Museum. The FIS, and Maria's group. And now this Foundation. The one thing we know for sure is, all these groups are connected somehow."
They slowly started to see the big picture here, but to what they're still not sure.
(Meanwhile)
The tiltrotor carrying Maria's group is seen flying in the air in its cloaking field as it heads to a new hiding spot to meet up with Kirika and Shirabe.
Nastassja was in the cockpit before she pressed a button to show footage of the Nephilim resting inside of its cage.
'Pursuers from the US have finally caught up with us. But the Nephilim is still growing. We're a long way from activating Frontier.' Nastassja thought before she changed the footage to show Dr. Ver seated beside the Nephilim's cage with Solomin's Cane in his hand, and then changed to Maria in another room looking at a broken pendant in her hand. 'To carry on Serena's will, you were supposed to have accepted everything, Maria. There is no time left for uncertainty!'
(Flashback, many years ago)
In the FIS research base, an out-of-control Nephilim is seen going on a rampage as Nastassja and her fellow researchers along with a child Maria and her sister Serena were with as they watch the Nephilim go berserk as the alarms were going off.
Along with them were government officials, and in another but private room was Ryubee as he was watching a live stream of the berserk Nephilim on a monitor, and with him was another man whose face can't be seen but he was wearing a pure white uniform with matching shoes.
"The Nephilim's output remains unstable. I was right. It's impossible to control a relic if you force boot it without a song." Nastassja said as she turned to the two sisters.
Serena nodded as she showed a smile on her face.
"I'll sing." Hearing that surprised Maria as she turned to her sister.
"But that song…" Maria said in worry before Serena turned to her sister.
"My Zessho may be able to reset the Nephilim to its pre-activation state." Serena told her.
"But that's a gamble! If even that fails…" Maria stated but Serena shook her head.
"If that happens, you'll deal with it, Maria-neesan." Serena told her before she turned to the FIS researchers. "The people from FIS are here, too. It isn't only me. So it'll work out."
"Serena…" Maria said.
"I don't want the power to wear a Gear, but I am the one who wanted to use it to protect everyone." Serena told her with a smile before she walked to the windows in the room.
"Serena!" Maria said in worry as she was ready to follow her, but Nastassja stopped her as she walked to her and grabbed onto Maria's shoulders as they could only stand by and watch over Serena, and hope for the best.
Serena had changed into her Symphogear armor as she stood in front and faced the berserk Nephilim as it growled at her.
Serena placed her hands on her chest before she sang the Zessho.
"Gatrandis Babel ziggurat Edenal. Emustolronzen Finé el balal zizzl." Serena sings as everyone watches as a trail of blood runned down on the edge of her lip.
With that Serena unleashed the power of the Zessho, which created a powerful shockwave all around her which shattered the windows in the observation room and sent Maria to the ground.
The Zessho also damages the cameras in the room, but Ryubee and his acquaintance can still still a blurry image of Serena holding an inactive Nephilim in her hand as she was surrounded by flames.
"May, that was certainly unexpected." Ryubee said with a smirk on his face before he saw the man in the white uniform walking to the door. "Leaving already?"
"I've seen all I have to. No doubt my superiors will want to know what happened here." He told the leader of Museum before he took his leave.
Ryubee turns back to the screen and as Serena has changed out of her armor.
"It would appear I must make my play as well." Ryubee said as he brought out and put on his Gaia Driver and soon brought out his Terror Memory.
TERROR
Maria was now in the lab as she rushed to her sister.
"Serena! Serena!" Maria reaches out to her but the flames back her way to her, Maria then turns to the people in the observation room. "Someone! My sister…"
"A valuable experimental sample destroyed itself?" Maria gasped to hear that.
"Experiments aren't free!"
"You incompetents!"
"Why are you saying that? My sister's the one shedding blood to protect you!" Maria said as she turned back to her sister.
Serena slowly turns to her older sister, to show the blood running down from her mouth and eyes, which shocked Maria as her eyes widened in horror.
"I'm glad...Maria-neesan…" Serena mutters weakly.
"Serena...Serena!" Maria said in worry while not noticing that the ceiling above her began to fall apart as large pieces headed towards her, but Nastassja managed to protect her as she pushed her down to the ground and let the falling debris fall on top of her.
Maria could only cry as she watched as the flames and falling debris began to consume Serena.
"Serena!" Maria shouted as all she could see now is darkness.
Maria slowly began to open her eyes as she could feel the warmth of the sun above her, and saw the blue sky above her as she was lying on the ground.
"Ah, you're finally awake. I was starting to worry." Maria's eyes widened before she turned to her side and saw the Terror Dopant kneeling beside her.
"Ryubee-san…" Maria said before it all came back to her as she sat up. "Serena!"
Maria groaned as she felt the pain of her wounds as she placed a hand on her side.
"Easy there Maria-kun." The Terror Dopant told her as he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Nastassja was able to protect you from the worst of it, but you shouldn't overexert yourself."
Maria blinks before she sees the wounded Nastassja by her other side as she was unconscious on the ground with her. Maria then saw the FIS research base in ruin and in flames from a distance, as the Terror Dopant was looking with her.
"Truly amazing, isn't it? The power of one's Zessho is truly remarkable." The Terror Dopant said.
"What…" Maria calls out getting the Dopant's attention as she was looking at him. "What happened to Serena? Were you able to save her too?"
The Terror Dopant sadly sighs before he grabs onto Maria's hand and places something on it, and Maria soon sees it was her sister's pendant now broken in half as her eyes widened in sorrow.
"I'm sorry. But that's all I could find of her, along with this." The Terror Dopant said as he looked at the Nephilim in its inactive state. "That girl truly was remarkable."
Maria didn't say anything as she cried with her sister's pendant close to her chest. The Terror Dopant could only look at her before he stood up and look at the FIS research base.
"That girl sacrificed her life for the sake of the people in that room. But tell me Maria-kun, were they grateful to her?" The Terror Dopant said but Maria didn't say anything which gave the answer he needed. "How predictable." He shook his head in disappointment. "Instead of being grateful for that girl's courage and compassion, all they did was whine and complain over the last of a valuable test subject. Repulsive, truly the embodiment of human nature. How are you going to let that stand, Maria-kun?"
Maria blinks before she looks at him.
"Are you going to stand by and do nothing as they spit on your sister's sacrifice? To watch them inflict the same suffering and anguish to others the way they did to you?" The Terror Dopant asked, and Maria wasn't sure as she looked at her sister's pendant.
(End of flashback)
Maria clenches her hand around Serena's broken pendant.
'Serena, unlike yours, my songs may not be able to protect anyone.' Maria thought before she heard Nastassja's voice through the speakers.
"We'll be arriving at the rendezvous point shortly. Understood?" She asked and Maria stood up.
"Okay, Mom." Maria said in acknowledgement.
The tiltrotor had arrived at the rendezvous point, and it was near the broken and ruined remains of the Kadingir that was in the process of being demolished.
Waiting for it was Shirabe and Kirika as they came out of hiding as they stood up and saw Maria exiting the tiltrotor and walking to her friends and they soon headed to her as well.
"Maria!" Shirabe said as they stopped in front of each other.
"Are you okay?" Kirika asked.
"Yes." Maria said and they smiled in relief.
"I'm so glad." Shirabe said as she ran and hugged Maria and she returned her hug as well. "If Finé awakens inside you, we won't be able to see you."
"Even if I become Finé's vessel, I'll still be me. Don't worry." Maria assures them before Kirika hugs onto her as well, and Maria hugs her back.
"I'm glad you're both safe." They looked and saw Nastassja and Dr. Ver heading towards them. "Now, let's go before they catch up."
"Wait, Mom!" Kirika said as she ran up to her. "We didn't get the pendant! We can't just leave!" She told her as Shirabe walked to her side.
"We promised we'd have a duel-" Shirabe said, which made Nastassja slap her on the cheek.
"Mom-" Kirika said as she moved in front of Shirabe to protect her but Nastassja slapped her as well.
"Stop messing around! Maria and you two, as well, this battle is not a game!" Nastassja told them.
"That's enough." Dr. Ver told her as he walked to her side as he got his allies' attention. "The situation isn't beyond recovery yet. Right? And the promise they made, this duel...I want to be part of it."
Second Two's base alarms were going off.
"Detecting a Noise-materialization pattern!" Aoi said.
"Classic…" Tsubasa said as they all have an idea on who's responsible. "A smoke signal to call us to the duel?"
"But you gotta give those girls points of being creative." Mitsuki said.
"Location identified. It's…" Sakuya said.
"What is it?" Genjuro asked.
"The special sealed zone, inside of Fuuto." Sakuya told them and the others realized where that was.
"The Kadingir Ruins?!" Genjuro said as he stood up.
"Well, I give them points for their sick sense of humor." Philip said.
After hearing the location, Mitsuki now as W and his Symphogear friends soon arrived at the base of the Kadingir Ruins.
"The perfect place to finish things, huh?" Tsubasa said as they looked at the Kadingir Ruins.
"You know, I never thought we'll be here again." W-Mitsuki said as he and the others looked at the broken tower that was once the Kadingir.
"Agree. I know three months have passed but it feels like a lifetime ago." W-Philip said.
As they were looking they soon spotted Dr. Ver was waiting for them with Solomin's Cane in his hand.
"You…" Chris growled.
Dr. Ver then used the Cane to summon several Noises in front of them.
"Balwisyall nescell Gungnir tron…" Hibiki sings and soon she, Tsubasa, and Chris change into their Symphogear armors.
Soon W and his allies battle the Noise, Hibiki punches through several of them, Tsubasa cuts them down with her swords, Chris shoots them down with her guns, and W punch and kick several Noises that were around him.
"Hmm...I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the small fry wouldn't be a match against you." Dr. Ver said.
"Where are Shirabe-chan and Kirika-chan?" W-Philip asked.
"They're in a timeout. So we're here instead." Dr. Ver told them.
"We?" W-Mitsuki said in confusion after they had defeated the remaining Noise.
Soon two blurs moving in speed attack W and his friends on all sides which sends them rolling on the ground before they stop and manage to stand back up.
"It's been a long time, W."
They looked and saw it was the Nasca Dopant and had the Smilodon Dopant standing beside him as they faced W and the Symphogear users.
"You two?!" Chris said as she recognizes them.
"Guess we shouldn't be surprised to see you here." W-Mitsuki said.
"Indeed. How could I pass up the chance to settle my score with you." The Nasca Dopant said before he turned to his fellow Museum Commander. "Mick, you may choose who you want to fight, but leave W to me."
The Smilodon Dopant roars as he charges at Tsubasa and Hibiki moving at high speed as he grabs onto the two Symphogear users as he drags them away from W and Chris.
"Hibiki! Tsubasa!" W said in worry.
"You should worry more about yourselves!" Both W and Chris looked and saw the Nasca Dopant flying at them as he swung his sword at them.
Both W and Chris dodges the Nasca Dopant's attack as they jump to the side as he lands between them.
"Now then, shall we begin?" The Nasca Dopant asked before Chris fires at him with her crossbolts.
The moment when the Smilodon Dopant stops running he soon throws Hibiki and Tsubasa up in the air before the two Symphogear users manage to recover as they land on their feet.
Tsubasa charges at the Smilodon Dopant to attack with her sword, but the Museum Commander easily dodges her sword by sliding under it.
Tsubasa turns back to the Dopant as he stands on one hand and kicks at her, and Tsubasa dodges his attack and swings her sword at the Dopant but Smilodon easily catches her sword using both of his hands, which surprised Tsubasa.
"Tsubasa-san!" Tsubasa looks and saw Hibiki charging at the Smilodon Dopant from behind to punch at him, but the Dopant easily sense her coming as he pushed Tsubasa's sword to the and jumps backwards to dodge Hibiki's as she accidentally punches on Tsubasa which sends her to the ground.
Before Hibiki could apologize to her the Smilodon Dopant uses his speed to attack Hibiki at all sides several times before he slams his arms on her legs causing her to fall to the ground.
The Smilodon Dopant growled at Hibiki and Tsubasa as they stood back up and assumed their combat stance.
"Just what is with this guy? His fighting style is so bizarre." Hibiki said.
"Yeah." Tsubasa nodded in agreement. "It's almost like we're fighting a wild animal instead of a person."
The Smilodon Dopant charges at Hibiki and Tsubasa to attack them once again, and they do the same as they charge at the Dopant as well.
Chris is seen firing her energy bolts with her crossbows at the Nasca Dopant and as they were heading towards him the Museum Commander deflected them with his sword, causing Chris her grit before she smirks as W charges and jumps at the Nasca Dopant to kick at him.
The Nasca Dopant was able to catch his foot with his free hand but then W spun around to land another kick with his other leg on the Dopant's head causing him to roll on the ground.
The Nasca Dopant growls as he stands up and wipes his mouth with his arm.
"Now that was a cheap shot." The Dopant told him.
"Like you're one to talk." W said before he chuckles as the Nasca Dopant turns to him.
"What's so funny?" The Nasca Dopant asked
"Oh just remembering the last time we've fought. On how badly things ended for you." W said.
"Well, a lot has changed since then. And here's why!" The Nasca Dopant stated as he charged forward at W and Chris at high speed which surprised them.
"What the hell?" Chris gasped before she grits her teeth and changed her weapons into gatling guns as she fired at Nasca.
Billion Maiden
But the Nasca Dopant easily dodges her gunfire as he moves to her first and destroys her guns as he slashes them with his sword which was much to her surprise before the Gold type Dopant punches her in the stomach which sends Chris flying before she crashes on the ground.
"Chris!/Chris-chan!" W said in worry before the Nasca Dopant turned to him.
"If I was you…" The Nasca Dopant starts before he dashes in front of W much to the dual theme Rider's shock. "I should worry more about myself."
W punches at the Nasca Dopant but he easily dodges his punch before he slashes W on the chest which forces him to stumble backwards before the Dopant dashes behind W to slash on the back that sends W rolling on the ground.
"Hmm-hmm...Not so tough now aren't you?" The Nasca Dopant asked in a mocking tone as W manages to stand back up.
"Yeah, keep laughing buddy!" W pulls out his Cyclone and Joker Memories, and soon brings out his Luna and Trigger Memories.
LUNA
TRIGGER
W inserts the said Memories into his Driver.
LUNA-TRIGGER
W changed into Luna-Trigger form as he pulled out his Trigger Magnum and fired his homing energy bullets at the high speed Nasca Dopant. But the Dopant easily dodge his bullets as he continues to dash towards W.
"Damn it! Just how is he this fast?!" W-Mitsuki said in frustration.
"This is just a guess. But I think this might be his true power." W-Philip stated.
"You've guessed right!" The Nasca Dopant said as he slashed at W when he got in front of the Rider, and W manages to dodge it by rolling on his shoulder, and as W stops rolling he quickly stands on his feet and point his gun at the Nasca Dopant to fire at him again but was too late as Nasca dashes in front of W and slash on his chest which forced W to stumble back and falls on one hand and knee. "After our last encounter, I made quite the effort to achieve this level of power. And I have to say the results are more than satisfying."
"Let's see then!" W said as he stood back up and quickly changed to his Metal Memory.
LUNA-METAL
W's Trigger side changes to his Metal form as he pulls out his Metal Shaft as he swings it at the Nasca Dopant as it stretches out like a whip. But the Nasca Dopant easily deflected his extended Shaft using his sword before he moved behind W in high speed and slashed him on the chest sending the dual-theme Rider rolling on the ground before he stopped on his knee, hand, and foot.
"Ready to give up now?" The Nasca Dopant asked as W stood back up.
"Hardly!" W shouted as he changed to his Cyclone Memory.
CYCLONE-METAL
W's right side changes to his Cyclone form as he charges at the Nasca Dopant to attack with his Metal Shaft.
As the two groups continued to fight each other, Dr. Ver was watching them with a hint of glee in his face.
"Truly an excellent performance. While you kids are busy down there, I guess I should explain why Shirabe and Kirika aren't here. You see, I can't have them trying to be friends, and messing up the plan." Dr. Ver told them.
As Tsubasa swings her sword at the Smilodon Dopant he catches it by biting on it.
"What is FIS plotting?!" Tsubasa asked.
"Plotting? That's a rude way of putting it. Our goal is humanity's freedom!" Dr. Ver said as he pointed at the moon. "To destroy the curse that separates humanity, the Moon itself!"
"Nani?!" W and his allies gasp to hear that.
"So that's your grand plan? To continue Finé's plot in destroying the Moon?" Chris asked.
"Indeed. I mean don't you find it ridiculous on how we're in that pitiful rock's mercy for so long? Once we destroy the moon, humanity can experience true freedom and prosperity." Dr. Ver told them as W manage to parry a slash from the Nasca Dopant.
"And how exactly are you going to do that? I mean, it's not like you can build another Kadingir without Finé." W told him.
"Oh we have our ways I assure you. Let me show you one of them, the Nephilim!" Dr. Ver calls out.
Chris then felt something emerging from the ground beneath her, and smashing through was the Nephilim as it sent Chris flying.
"Chris-chan!" W-Philip said in worry.
Chris fell to the ground but was knocked out on impact.
"Chris-chan!/Yukine!" W and Tsubasa said in worry as they ran to check on her.
The moment W helps her sit up with his arm on her back, a web-like substance spewed over him, Tsubasa, and Chris thus binding them.
They looked and saw it was a Noise that had them restrained.
"This thing won't…" Tsubasa mutters as she and W try to break free.
"Damn this stuff is nasty…" W-Mitsuki said as he looked at the substance the Noise as spewed on him. "Just what is this?"
"I think we're better off not knowing." W-Philip told him.
The Nasca and Smilodon Dopants move to Ver's side to watch over the Nephilim.
"Bring people together, form an organization, build a country, and protect their lives. That is what we'll use the Nephilim's power for!" Dr. Ver proclaimed as the Nephilim roars and sets its sights on W, Chris, and Tsubasa.
The Nephilim dashed towards them but Hibiki kicked it away from them before she jumped and faced the Nephilim when she landed on the ground as it set its sights on her now.
Hibiki begins to sing as she begins to land several punches and kicks on the Nephilim and manage to dodge and parry a few attacks from it.
"Hero of the Lunar Attack, what do your fists protect?!" Dr. Ver asked as Hibiki's next attack forced the Nephilim to stumble back.
Hibiki soon extends her gauntlets and lands a powerful punch on the Nephilim which sends it flying as it falls to the ground.
The boosters on Hibiki's ignited as she charges at the Nephilim with her other extended.
"Even as you use your fists to protect someone," Dr. Ver said as he summoned several Noise in front of Hibiki to protect the Nephilim and Hibiki kicks them as she continues to charge forward. "You're going to make more people suffer!"
Hibiki's eyes widened to hear that as she remembered Shirabe's words to her.
"That's why you're a hypocrite! You've never known true suffering! I don't want someone like you helping others!"
"Hibiki, what are you doing?! Snap out of it!" W-Mitsuki calls out which snaps Hibiki out of her daze but it was too late as...
CHOMP
In her daze the Nephilim bites around Hibiki's forearm, which surprises her friends as Hibiki's eyes widened in shock before the living Relic rips her arm off and soon her blood spews out like a geyser.
"Tachibana!/Hibiki!" Both W and Tsubasa shouted in worry while Dr. Ver had a crazed grin on his face.
Hibiki placed her hand on her now bite off arm as she took a few steps as she saw the Nephilim chewing on her arm like it was enjoying the taste and texture of it before she screamed…
"Ah...AAAAAHHHHHH!"
Her scream reached the night sky, as Sonozaki Ryubee watched from afar on top of the ruined Kadingir with a smile on his face.
"Now, how will this play out?" He said as he was curious to see what else was in store for W and his friends.
