Case 18: The Doll Has Sticky Fingers

In the Narumi Detective Agency, Mitsuki is seen walking up the stairs that leads to the main room.

"Fuuto…The word mysterious is often applied to this city. This time…Our office…No, wait…Kanade was caught up in a mysterious incident." Mitsuki narrated.

Then when Mitsuki entered the room, he then heard a ringing sound above him which surprised Mitsuki before he turned around and saw a new Memory Gadget sticking on the wall above the door.

It was based around a snail that was colored orange with blue eyes and has a black color snail with red lenses on both sides.

"A denden?" Mitsuki said in some confusion.

"Eureka! It worked!" Said Philip as he approaches the new Memory Gadget as Mitsuki turns to his partner.

"Oh Phillip, I presume that's the other Memory Gadget?" Mitsuki asked, and Philip nodded.

"Indeed, it is." Philip said before the new Gadget jumps onto his hand as Mitsuki studies its appearance. "May I present the Denden Sensor. Its primary function is to detect changes in the light spectrum and alert its user to possibly cloaked targets. It can also serve as a surveillance drone, able to store up to 8 terabytes of video."

Philip pointed at the camera on the Gadget's mouth as Mitsuki looked at it.

"And that's not all." Philip said before removing the Sensor's Giji Memory from its mouth and the new Memory Gadget changes into a pair of high-tech goggles. "It can also function as a pair of night vision goggles. Here."

Philip hands Mitsuki the Denden Sensor and he places them over his eyes.

"In goggle mode it will also allow us to see those who are using a type of invisibility and cloaking abilities. I also added new features such as thermal vision and zooming functions." Philip said as Mitsuki used the said features.

Mitsuki looks at the Denden Sensor as he was impressed by them.

"I have to say, you really out did yourself with this, Philip." Mitsuki said as he handed back the Gadget to Philip. "By the way, where's Kanade?"

Mitsuki then spotted Kanade seated on the table as she was reading a book which caused her to cry as she tried to wipe away the tears.

"Kanade, what's wrong?" Mitsuki asked as he took off his hat and jacket.

"It's this book! It really makes you cry!" Kanade said before she blew her nose on some tissue and tossed it to a pile of other used tissue.

Mitsuki looks at the cover of the book which was titled 'Home of the Girl and the Doll'. It even had a picture of a girl holding a doll in her arms.

"Home of the girl and the Doll. That book is a recent bestseller." Philip told him.

"The main character, the girl, is so brave!" Kanade said.

"You don't say." Mitsuki said before Philip taps on his shoulder to get his attention as he whispers to his ear.

"Maybe we should go to the hangar to give Kanade some privacy." Philip suggested.

"Yeah." Mitsuki nodded in agreement. "We also need to talk about Hibiki's situation."

"Agreed." Philip said.

Then both detectives head inside the hangar while leaving Kanade to continue to read her book as she continues to cry.

"This really is good! I didn't think I'd cry this much…" Kanade said.

"Hey, hey, Onee-chan." A girl calls out to her.

Kanade looked and saw a little girl seated on a chair.

The girl appears to be at least 10 years old. She had long black hair with matching eyes, she was wearing a red dress with a white long-sleeve shirt with white socks and matching shoes.

"You sure are cute!" Kanade said before she turned back to her book and looked at the picture cover on it. "You look just like the girl in this story…"

Kanade blinks a few times.

"Eh?" Kanade turns back to the little girl as she realizes she didn't notice her until now. "Wait a minute…who are you?"

"Rika!" The girl answered with a smile as she jumped up and down on the chair.

"Rika-chan?" Kanade said before she put her book down and knelt down in front of the strange girl. "Where did you come from? Are you lost?"

"Hey, hey, Onee-chan." Rika calls out as she is now jumping on the floor which surprises Kanade as she turns to the strange girl. "Listen to the doll's voice."

"Doll?!" Kanade said before she moved closer to Rika. "Where is it?"

"No! No!" Rika said as she was now seated on a chair without Kanade noticing her moving, Kanade once again turned to her in shock but saw that Rika had vanished.

Then Rika was now running back and forth behind Kanade.

"Hey, hey. Listen. Listen! Hey, listen!" Rika said as Kanade turned to her.

"Hey! Calm down! I don't understand what you're saying!" Kanade said before she saw that Rika was lying on the floor while swinging her arms and legs up and down. "Did someone steal your doll, Rika-chan?"

Then Rika appeared standing behind Kanade while holding a piece of paper in her hand. Kanade turns to her in shock once again before she takes the piece of paper in the strange girl's hand.

Kanade opened the paper and saw that it had a list of different addresses along with a name.

"Kaze Fukichou…Is the doll here?" Kanade asked.

Rika then hugs onto Kanade.

"Onee-chan, listen to the doll's voice." Rika told her before they looked at the address together.

Then Mitsuki walks out of the hangar as he opens the door.

"Kanade, did you see that stone fragment?" Mitsuki asked.

"Oh, Mitsuki. Do you know this girl?" Kanade asked.

"Girl? What girl?" Mitsuki asked.

"What girl? This girl." Kanade pointed out but to her shock, Rika was now gone like she vanished out of thin air. "What the…? She's gone."

Kanade stood up as she looked for Rika.

"What are you saying?" Mitsuki said as he walked further in the room to look for Hibiki's stone fragment. "Ah! Here it is."

Kanade looks at the address that Rika had given her.

Curious about the strange girl Rika and wanting to learn about this doll, Kanade contacts Hibiki, Tsubasa, Chris, and Miku as they head to the first address on the paper.

Tsubasa looks at the list of addresses, but she was a bit skeptical about Kanade's story.

"I don't know, Kanade. A girl in a red dress just gave you this, and then suddenly she was just gone." Tsubasa said to her former partner.

"I know how it sounds, but she really gave me that." Kanade told her.

"Or maybe you finally gone senile, you old hag." Chris stated, and Kanade whacked her on the head with her slipper.

"Now don't you start you brat!" Kanade exclaimed.

"But still, I'm worried about this Rika-chan. Do you think she was separated from her parents?" Miku said in some worry.

"Yeah. I hope that someone didn't kidnap her." Hibiki said.

"Well, maybe finding this doll might shed some light on that." Kanade said.

They soon arrived at the first address on the list, which was a hotel called Wind Castle.

"Wind Castle. This seems like the place." Tsubasa said as she read the list.

"Alright, let's check it out." Kanade said as she and the others headed inside.

They soon arrived in the room belonging to one of the hotel's tenants, a woman named Karakita.

She was a middle-aged woman with black hair and eyes, she was wearing robes with long sleeves with a brown vest along and was wearing a piece of cloth on her head with glasses over eyes.

She also had curtains hanging close to her door.

"Detectives? You?" Karakita asked.

Kanade showed her the agency's business card.

"Yeah." Kanade said.

They soon entered the room as they followed the woman into the living room.

"I'm a full-fledged detective of an agency." Kanade said.

Karakita soon sat down on her table which was surrounded by different colored curtains as the table had piles of books on it along with her laptop, a lamp, and a few bowls of snacks.

"Then I'm a full-fledged literary critic. What do you want?" She asked.

"Well, we have reason to believe that we might find someone's doll here." Tsubasa said.

"Yeah. A girl wanted me to bring it back to her." Kanade said.

"A doll? Oh! It arrived this morning." Karakita said before she ate one of her snacks. "Ah, I thought so. I thought it was a wrong delivery. It's in that room."

"Thank you. Pardon us." Kanade said.

Kanade and her friends soon walked to the hallway and entered the said room where they might find this doll belonging to Rika. The room was a complete mess as there were different stuffed animals, clothes, and party streamers on the floor or ceiling.

"Jeez…talk about messy." Chris said.

They soon spotted a large red box on the table before they walked towards it while avoiding the items on the floor and looked at what's inside the box.

It appears to be a french doll wearing a dress with brown hair and blue eyes.

"This must be it." Kanade said.

"Oh, it's so cute." Miku said.

"Huh?" Kanade then sees a copy of her favorite book on the table before she picks it up and calls out to the literary critic.

"Ah, ummm…are you critiquing this copy of 'Home of the Girl and the Doll?'"

Karakita was typing on her computer.

"He modeled it after his own daughter. It exposes his fatherly ego!" She stated.

"But…you can feel the fatherly love." Kanade said before she looked at the book in her hands.

"He did it just to make money. This writer doesn't love his child at all." Karakita told her and the others.

While they weren't looking, the doll was somehow able to move its arms and legs.

"Man…She's a mean old lady." Chris said.

"Agreed." Tsubasa said before she noticed that the doll was now missing. "What the…? The doll!"

The others looked at the empty box as well.

"Huh? Where did it go?" Kanade said as she and the others looked for the doll.

"Did it fall out somehow?" Hibiki said as she looked under the table.

While they weren't looking, something walked out of the room and where the literary critic was.

"What are you doing?! Take it and go already!" They look at the opened door and wonder who she was talking to since there was no one else in the building.

They then walk back to the living room. As they approached the living room Karakita was being attacked by a doll as it was now on her face as she tried to push it off of her.

"What are you talking about? We were still…" Kanade said before they arrived to the living and saw that the literary critic was now gone.

"She's gone too?" Miku said in shock.

Now they were becoming on edge in being in this room.

"Something's not right here." Tsubasa said as she brought out her pendent.

"Yeah." Chris nodded as she brought out her pendent as well.

They soon heard Karakita screaming. They quickly ran out of the living room and looked for the woman, and soon saw her in the kitchen.

The girls then scream in horror as the literary critic was being attacked by the missing doll they were trying to find, but it now has large red eyes along with a monstrous mouth with sharp teeth as it was making a high pitch sound as it now on Karakita back.

(Mitsuki and Philip are seen walking together, Mitsuki putting on his hat and Philip closing his book, and they point at the screen before the title appears in front of them.)

(Shijima no soko kara…)

(Mitsuki is in his office going through his case files, before Kanade handed him a cup of coffee that he happily accepted.)

(Mezameru sono hashiratachi toki wo koe…)

(Philip was having his usual interesting research moment as he was writing on his whiteboards, before he accidentally wrote on Chris's face as she was walking towards him, Philip flinched before Chris slaps on his face. Then images of their friends and allies appeared one at a time.)

(Shinku no chishio ga…)

(Ryu is seen looking at his Accel Memory before he walks forward.)

(Tachiagaru yuuki wo hikiawaseru!)

(W, Accel, Hibiki, Tsubasa, and Chris are seen surrounded by Noise before they turn to each other and nodded before they charge at the Noise battling against them.)

(Uketsugu ai wo sadame to yobu nara!)

(The mysterious Shroud is seen walking in a dark alley before she turns to the screen showing her white bandage covered face with black sunglasses.)

(Hohoemu me de tsugi no te wo…)

(The Nephilim is in its cage with Ver looking at it with an evil grin before the Nephilim roars. Then images of the Kamen Riders and Symphogear users' enemies appear one at a time, before finally showing Ryubee looking above the Gaia Well.)

(Yami wo azamuite setsuna wo kawashite! Yaiba surinuke yatusra no suki wo tsuke!)

(Shirabe wearing her black Symphogear armor fires from her head compartments, then to Kirika swinging her scythe around and finally to Maria wielding her lance as she uses her HORIZON†SPEAR attack.)

(Tsuranuita omoi ga mirai wo hiraku!)

(The three black Symphogear users are standing atop a stone pillar looking down upon W, Accel, Hibiki, Tsubasa, and Chris as they get ready for battle. Then an image of a younger Maria reaching out to her sister Serena appears, and then shows the present day Maria looking at Airgetlám in sadness before a teardrop falls from her eye and onto the pendent.)

(Like a Bloody Storm atsuku Like a Bloody Stone! Ketsumyaku ni kizamareta innen ni…)

(W in his Cyclone-Joker Form is seen doing some kicks and punches as he was spinning around, and changes into his Heat-Metal swinging his Metal Shaft around, and soon changes to his Luna-Trigger firing with his Trigger Magnum, and changes to his Fang-Joker attacking with his Arm Saber, and the final spin shows W in a new and unknown form.)

(Ukiagaru kienai hokori no kizuna nigirishimete!)

(Now both Kamen Riders and Symphogear users alike are seen standing side by side as the Nephilim in its final form looking down at them, as the floating city the Frontier raises to the moon.)

The doll was attacking Karakita with a frying pan and a spatula.

"The doll is alive!" Hibiki said in fear to see the now monstrous and living doll as she held hands with Miku.

"How?!" Miku said.

"Like that matters now! We need to help her!" Kanade said.

"Oh, right!" Hibiki said before she ran up and grabbed onto the doll and managed to pull it off of the woman it was attacking.

Karakita moves away from the doll before she turns to the doll that just attacks her before it headbutts Hibiki in the forehead to free itself

"OW!" Hibiki said as she placed her hands on her forehead.

The doll slaps Miku in the face several times.

The doll bits Tsubasa on the ear with its sharp teeth.

"YEOUCH! Leave my ear alone!" Tsubasa said before she managed to push the doll off of her.

The doll then pulled on Chris' eyelids and released them to inflict a sharp pain on her eyes.

"YEOCH!" Chris said as she placed her hands on her eyes.

Finally the doll kicks Kanade in the leg.

"Ouch!" Kanade said as she placed her hands on her leg.

Karakita moves to the window that leads outside as the doll moves to her.

Karakita opens the window to escape but the doll swings at her by using the party streamer on the ceiling and kicks on her back to send her falling out of the window as she climbs onto it.

Kanade moved to the window to look down and saw that Karakita was hurt but was still alive as she was crying in pain with a hand on her bottom.

Kanade and the others turned back to the doll and saw it was now back in the box and was back in its original shape and form.

"What the hell just happened?" Chris said in confusion.

Kanade soon called both the police and the ambulance, and they soon arrived at the hotel.

The ambulance brought the injured Karakita to the hospital while the police arrived at the room where Kanade and the others were in.

The officers were Ryu, Mikio, and Makura; they soon tried to explain that it was the doll that attacked that poor woman.

"Look, I'm telling you, somehow that doll was alive and it tried to murder that woman." Kanade told them.

"Yeah, it's true." Hibiki said. "It even had blood red eyes and had razor sharp teeth. Just ask Tsubasa-san, it even bit her on the ear."

"Hey!" Tsubasa said.

But Mikio remained skeptical about that.

"Listen, kids, calm down. How about telling us the truth?" He asked.

"We're not lying. We're telling you the truth." Miku said.

Chris then whispers to Ryu.

"Aren't you going to back us up now?" She asked.

"Don't ask me questions." Ryu told her.

"Jeez…You just love saying that don't you." Chris said.

Mitsuki soon arrives in the room as he walks to Mikio.

"Mikio-san, what happened?" Mitsuki asked and Shun soon answered that question.

"Your friends are subjects of attempted murder. Hey! Why did you try to kill her? Do you hold a grudge against her?" Makura asked.

"I told you that the doll did it! This is a cursed doll!" Kanade pointed at the doll as everyone looked at it before she began shaking the doll's box to make it move on its own again. "Come on! Move again! Move! Oh…but don't curse me though."

So far, the doll remained motionless.

"Kanade, come on." Mitsuki sighed before Hibiki spoke to him.

"Mitsuki, we're telling you the truth. That doll really did attack that woman." Hibiki told him and Miku nodded.

While he remained a little skeptical about it, after the things he saw as W, Mitsuki wanted to at least find all the facts. Mitsuki closely looks at the doll.

"Okay. So what we know about the victim and this cursed doll." Mitsuki said.

"The victim's name is Karakita, an amateur literary critic. Someone sent the doll to her. Did she say that?" Ryu asked.

"Yeah! She did say that. She said it was sent this morning. Oh, wait, the memo had another address listed…Aaaahhh!" Kanade screams as she points at something and the men look to see what she was pointing at but see nothing.

Kanade used that chance to sneak out of the room while they weren't looking.

"Wait, Kanade!" Tsubasa said as she and the other girls followed her.

"Oi, where are you going? Stop! Stop or I'll shoot!" Makura calls out while pointing his finger at them.

"Hey, Makki, don't be so uptight!" Mitsuki said as he walked to him and Makura turned to him.

"I'll arrest your whole office, you half-assed detective!" He told him.

"Huh? Just try it!" Mitsuki said as he and Makura began arguing.

"Okay! Don't cause a ruckus at the scene of a crime!" Mikio said as he tried to defuse their arguing.

Ryu then turned back to the doll but saw it was now missing like it vanished from the box without leaving a trace.

Growing suspicious about it, and after Kanade and the other girls told her, Ryu soon set out and left the room.

After the girls had left the hotel, they soon arrived at the second address written on the memo.

"This must be it." Kanade said before she moved to the door to call out to the owner who lives in it, but when she and the others saw that owner was in his car as he drove out of the garage and onto the road.

"Hey! Wait! We need to talk to you!" Kanade calls out.

But then suddenly the car lost control and crashed into a wall. The girls were surprised by that before they rushed to the car to see if the owner was alright.

"Are you okay?!" Hibiki said before she opened the car door, and that's when they saw the monstrous living doll inside as it was choking the man and looking at Hibiki and the others as it laughed.

Hibiki screams once again before she slaps herself and grabs onto the doll.

"Stop right there, Doll!" Hibiki said as she tried to pull the doll off the man.

Kanade soon helps her as she grabs onto the doll as well to pull it off.

"Dang! How is this doll so strong?!" Kanade said. "Let go!"

Both Hibiki and Kanade pull the doll out of the car and throw it into a pile of trash bags.

The driver soon got out of his car and ran away.

"Someone help!" He cries out.

The doll soon stood up and charged at Kanade and the others as it roared.

Kanade kicks on it which sends the doll back to the pile of trash bags, and they repeat the process a few more times before the doll begins throwing the bags at her and the others and they avoid the incoming trash bags.

Then Ryu had arrived as he was riding on his motorcycle, the living doll turns to him and screams before Ryu rams his bike's front wheel on the doll which sends it flying above Kanade and the others, but the doll manages to land on its feet.

Ryu soon pushes up his helmet's visor and turns to the girls.

"Are you alright?" Ryu asked.

"Yeah. Thanks for the help there." Kanade said.

They then saw the doll was now running away, and Kanade chased after it.

"Stop!" Kanade said before Ryu, Tsubasa, and Chris followed it.

Hibiki was about to follow them too but Miku stopped her by grabbing onto her wrist.

"Hibiki, no. I know you want to help, but you're in no condition to do anything." Miku told her.

"But, Miku…" Hibiki said before she saw the pleading look in Miku's eyes and Hibiki lowered her head.

Kanade, Ryu, Tsubasa, and Chris had followed the doll to a junkyard filled with abandoned cars.

"Where'd it go?" Ryu asked as he and the others looked for the doll.

They heard the doll laughing as it moved behind as they turned around, and the doll did the same again making them turn around once again.

They then saw the doll moving all around them appearing in place and the next appearing in different cars before they heard a car honking behind them and saw that the doll was in the driver seat honking its horn as it smiles and laughs at them.

"Alright, that's it! This doll is getting on my last nerves!" Chris said as she and Tsubasa brought out their pendants, and Ryu put on his Driver and brought out his Accel Memory.

[ACCEL]

"Hen…shin!" Ryu said before the two Symphogear users sang their songs.

"Imyuteus Ame no Habakiri Tron…"

"Killiter Ichaival tron…"

Ryu inserts his Memory into his Driver.

[ACCEL]

Ryu transforms into Kamen Rider Accel while Chris and Tsubasa change into their armor and are now armed with their weapons.

Accel continues to twist on his Driver's handlebar making engine sounds.

"Get back, Kanade." Tsubasa told her, while reluctant, Kanade nodded and stepped back as the others were ready to fight the monstrous doll as it continued to laugh and honk the car's horn at them.

The doll then shifted gears and used a metal pipe to push down the gas pedal and then it drove forward to ram the trio.

Tsubasa and Chris dodges it by rolling to the side while Accel jumps and rolls on top of the car. The doll looks up at Accel before it notices that she is going to crash into a car, the doll screams as it was too late to stop as the car rams into that other car.

Accel, Chris, and Tsubasa were about to move in and attack the doll, but it soon threw the car's doors at them as they avoided them before it began to throw the wheels at them as they avoided those as well.

Chris grits her teeth as she glares at the annoying doll as it begins to laugh at them.

"You little! Let's see how you like this!" Chris said as she fired at the doll.

The monstrous doll avoids her gunfire and soon begins to avoid them by appearing and disappearing from one spot to the next which starts to infuriate Chris.

"Damn it! Just how are you doing this?!" Chris exclaimed.

Then the doll charges at Chris while carrying a long rope in its hand and begins to tie it around her body along with her arms.

"What the hell? How did it…?" Chris said before she begins to struggle to break free from the rope while hopping on the ground before she falls face first to the ground.

"Yukine!" Tsubasa said in worry as Chris was now growling.

"Damn it…And I thought kissing that tanuki was embarrassing!" Chris said.

Tsubasa was about to move in and help her, but stopped as she heard the doll's laughter behind her, she quickly swung her sword at it but missed as the doll was now gone.

The doll continues to laugh at Tsubasa's blindspots as she continues to swing her sword to attack it.

"Just how is it doing that?" Tsubasa said in frustration before the doll appeared behind her head.

"Tsubasa, look out!" Kanade shouted at her.

But it was too late as the doll grabbed onto Tsubasa's hair and began pulling on it.

"Ow! Stop pulling my hair!" Tsubasa said.

The doll begins dragging her away as Tsubasa struggles to break before the doll throws her into a nearby empty barrel, the only thing sticking out were Tsubasa's bottom and legs as she struggles to break free.

The doll laughs as Accel glares at it.

"This punk…" Accel said before he brings out his Engine Blade and charges at the doll.

The doll soon brings out the wrecked car's hose to fire the exhaust at Accel which forced him to stop and slightly pushed him back.

The doll then swings the hose at Accel's legs as it is wrapped around it.

"Nani?!" Accel said as he looked down at the hose around his leg.

Accel then saw the doll moving between his legs before the doll pulled on the hose which sent Accel falling forward on the ground before it began to drag him away by running on the ground.

"Stop it! You ghost doll!" Kanade told it.

The doll stops for a moment to look at Kanade as its features return to normal before it speaks to Kanade with a familiar voice.

"Onee-chan!"

Kanade recognizes that voice.

"Rika-chan?" Kanade said.

Accel soon stood back up and brought out his Engine Memory and inserted it into his Blade.

[ENGINE]

[ELECTRIC]

Accel fires lightning at the living doll, shocking it as it screams before it jumps into the air and into a pile of scrap car parts.

Accel moves to that pile of scrap to search for the doll but saw it was now gone.

Chris soon breaks free of the rope as she stands up and removes the pieces from her body, and Tsubasa manages to pull herself out of the metal barrel.

"Finally free!" Tsubasa said before she turned to Accel. "Terui, where's the doll?"

"It got away." Accel said as he changed back into his civilian form.

Tsubasa and Chris change back to their regular clothes.

Kanade then moves back to her friends and speaks to Ryu.

"Ryu, so you believe us after all." Kanade said.

"Yeah. Because, two such incidents have already happened." Ryu told them which surprised them.

"Really?" Tsubasa asked, and Ryu nodded.

"In a secret room, we found the exact same empty box in those cases." Ryu told them.

"In other words, the cursed doll was in those boxes?" Kanade asked.

"Yeah. But that's no cursed doll. I'm sure…it's a Dopant." Ryu said, which surprised them.

"A Dopant?! That little thing?!" Chris said.

(Meanwhile)

In his clinic, Isaka once again examined Saeko's Dopant form as he started with her left hand.

"A Dopant's body can be more beautiful depending on whose hands it's in." Isaka said before he closely examined the Taboo Dopant's right hand. "Saeko-kun, your body is beautiful. But…"

Isaka then spun the Taboo Dopant around.

"But?" She asked as she turned her head at him before Isaka stood up.

"Today it's not perfect. Could it be that you are unsatisfied with something?" Isaka asked.

"As usual, you can see right into a person's soul." The Taboo Dopant said before Isaka spun her around again as she changed back into her human form.

"It's my little sister. She always lives selfishly. She doesn't even realize her duty." Saeko told him as she sat down on a chair behind her.

"Her duty?" Isaka said in confusion.

"Yes. Fighting for me is her duty. Hey. Will you treat Wakana? Make her into a perfect Dopant." Saeko requested.

"Very well, if that is your request." Isaka said before he licked his lips.

(In the Agency)

After meeting up with Mitsuki, Kanade, Tsubasa, Chris, and Ryu had returned to the Narumi Detective Agency and met up with Philip in the hangar.

Philip was now in the Gaia Library to look up the mysterious cases about this doll Dopant.

"The subject of the lookup is the culprit behind the mysterious break-ins. The first keyword?" Philip asked.

"Doll." Ryu answered.

"Next?" Philip asked.

"Attack victims…" Ryu said before he brought out four photos of the said victims attacked by the doll Dopant and told him their names and occupations. "Magazine editor Inada Tsutsumi. SF writer Hashimoto Toumari. Literary critic Karakita Yuki. Columnist Tama Senta."

Thanks to that Philip soon found the book he needed titled 'Name' and soon read the info in it.

"I've got a result. The common factor between those four…There is one person whose works were all reviewed by them recently." Philip told them.

"And what's their name?" Ryu asked.

Philip closes the book and answers his question.

"Horinouchi Keio."

Kanade knows that name quite well.

"Eh?! That's…the author of this book!" Kanade said as she brought out her copy of the book, Home of the girl and the Doll, and showed the author's picture and name behind the cover page.

The others look at the picture.

Horinouchi Keio appears to be a man in his 30s with black hair and eyes, wearing a gray blazer with a white shirt. He also held a little girl in his arms as she sat on his lap which was most likely his daughter.

"So he's the one?" Mitsuki said before he took the book and read the words in the book. "My beloved daughter, Rikako?"

"Rikako?" Kanade said as that name sounds familiar and that's when she remembers Rika.

Kanade then looks at Keio's daughter as she greatly resembles Rika.

"Wait! That's her! That's Rika-chan!" Kanade said.

"Wait…that's the girl who asked you to retrieve her doll?" Tsubasa said, and Kanade nodded.

"Yeah. There's no doubt in my mind that's her." Kanade said.

"The Doll Dopant might be that girl." Ryu said.

"Eh?" Kanade said.

"I see. A doll-sized Dopant. That would make sense." Philip said.

"No way! There's no way that little girl is using a Gaia Memory." Kanade said.

"It's Horinouchi who used it." Ryu said.

"In other words, the father is using a Memory on his daughter?" Mitsuki concluded.

"No way…If so, then we have to save Rika-chan as soon as possible!" Kanade said.

"Alright. Then let's go." Mitsuki said as he was about to head out.

"Wait, Hidari." Ryu calls out as Mitsuki stops and turns at him. "I think you, Kazanari, and Yukine should head to the police station. Me and Amou will question Horinouchi."

"Huh?! And should I listen to you?" Mitsuki asked.

"Don't ask me questions." Ryu said as he headed out.

"Snooze you lose, Mitsuki." Kanade said as she patted his shoulder and left with Ryu.

"Hey, I thought you were supposed to have my back?" Mitsuki called out but was left ignored which made him lower his head. "God dang it…"

After leaving the Narumi Detective Agency, Kanade and Ryu soon arrived at a bookstore where Horinouchi Keio was holding an autograph event for his fans as he signed their books and gave them a handshake.

"Thank you." Keio said before he greets the next person in line. "The next person, please."

Kanade and Ryu were watching Keio from a distance.

"He seems pretty upright, but…We don't have proof that Horinouchi is the culprit. What'll we do?" Kanade said.

"Leave it to me." Ryu said before he walked to Keio. Ryu cuts in front of the line to confront the author. "I'm amazed you created this cheap tearjerker using your own daughter as the model."

"What are you doing?!" Keio asked.

"You don't love your daughter, do you?" Ryu asked, and Keio was left confused by this before Kanade moved to his side.

"Who are you?" Keio asked.

Ryu soon brings out his police badge and shows it to him.

"You're a policeman?" Keio said in shock, and his friends wondered why a police officer was questioning him.

"Seems you've been ordering your daughter to target the lives of those who badmouth your novel." Ryu said to both Keio and his friends as he turned to them. "...At least that's the scary rumor going around."

Keio soon stood up and moved in front of Ryu.

"I'll take your opinion and work it into my next work." Keio told the police officer.

"I look forward to it." Ryu said before he left.

"Excuse us!" Kanade said as she followed him.

Both Kanade and Ryu were walking outside.

"What was that just now?" Kanade asked.

"I was baiting him. What I told him was the same as what the four victims wrote. He's sure to have a reaction." Ryu explained.

"I see. You tried to get him angry on purpose. You're so smart, Ryu." Kanade said before she heard a familiar voice calling to her.

"Onee-chan, listen to the doll's voice." Kanade stops while Ryu continues to walk forward.

Kanade looked and saw it was Rika calling to her as she was seated on a stone block.

"Rika-chan!" Kanade said as she moved to the girl and placed her hands on her shoulders. "Thank goodness you're okay!"

"The doll's voice…" Rika said.

"Your father ordered you to become a Dopant, right?" Kanade asked.

"Listen. Listen." Rika said.

Kanade then brought Rika to the ground and held her hand.

"We'll go to the police right now. They'll take care of you." Kanade said before she and Rika walked together.

"Listen. Listen." Rika told her.

"Amou." Ryu calls out as Kanade stops and turns to him. "What are you doing?"

"I found Rika-chan!" Kanade told him.

"Where is she?" Ryu asked.

"What are you talking about? She's right…here?!" Kanade said before she saw that Rika had disappeared once again as she looked around for her.

Under her older sister's request, Wakana had visited Isaka for a checkup. Wakana was seated in front of a light device and the doctor, who held a stopwatch in his hand as he started off the timer.

As the timer was clicking, Wakana looked at the light in her eye as Isaka spoke to her.

"Wakana-kun. You will undergo an operation so that you can become perfect."

"Operation?" Wakana said in confusion.

"You are thinking that you don't want to use your Gaia Memory, right?" Isaka asked.

"How did you…" Wakana said as the stopwatch's clinking started to echo in her mind.

"Please leave your Driver with me. That's okay, right?" Isaka said.

"Hai…" Wakana nodded.

With that, Isaka stops the watch's timer.

Mitsuki, Tsubasa, and Chris were in the Special Crimes Investigations room with Mikio. They were seated on the same table to enjoy some tea.

"Terui, that guy…showing off to Kanade like that." Mitsuki said before he drank some tea. Plus, he's always showing off by saying 'Don't ask me questions'! I can't believe he's such a shallow guy. How unsightly."

"Yeah, like he's the only shallow one." Tsubasa said before she drank some tea.

"Agreed." Chris said before she drank from her cup as well.

"Don't tell me, Mitsuki. You're drinking kelp tea with me. You're also pretty unsightly." Mikio said, and Mitsuki almost spit out his tea as he held it in. "You're easy to understand! You actually want Kanade to be clinging on you for support, right? The world calls that jealousy."

Mitsuki then notices that Tsubasa was giving him a narrow look, and Mitsuki coughs in his hand.

"What are you saying? That's nonsense." Mitsuki said as he turned away from him.

Mikio then notices Makura has entered the room while carrying a large box in his hands, when Makura turns to Mitsuki, he almost hits Mikio with the box as he ducks under it.

"Detective! Wasting time again?!" Makura said before he placed the box on the table as the other stood up.

Mitsuki looks inside the box as Tsubasa and Chris move to his side.

"What is this box?" Mitsuki asks before he moves the packing foam to see what's inside.

"It was left outside the room." Makura told them.

When Mitsuki removed the last piece of foam, he, Tsubasa, and Chris saw the Doll Dopant's normal face within it.

"Get away! It's a Dopant!" Mitsuki said as he and his friends moved away from the doll while making move away from it as well.

Mikio looks at the doll with a smile on his face and Makura pushes Mitsuki away.

"Baka!" Makura said before he moved to the doll. "How can such a little Dopant exist?!"

Makura grabs onto the Doll Dopant and pulls it out of the box to play with it.

"Look! Look! Up! Up! Up!" Makura said.

"Stop it!" Mitsuki told him.

"You don't know what you're doing?!" Tsubasa said.

"Can you hear me?!" Makura said before he turned away from the doll, that's when its face changed into its monstrous form as it began to laugh.

Makura turns back to the doll and screams in shock.

"Unbelievable!" Mikio said in English

"Eek!" Tsubasa cries out as she jumps onto Mitsuki's arms.

Then Mitsuki and Tsubasa looked at each other before they soon blushed.

Mitsuki then realizes something as he narrows his eyes at her.

"That better be sweat dripping down your leg, Tsubasa." Mitsuki said.

"I would never!" Tsubasa said.

When Mitsuki lets Tsubasa stand on her feet, the Doll Dopant bites onto Makura's nose as he cries out in pain.

"My nose is coming off!"

"You punk!" Mitsuki said as he charged at the Doll Dopant.

But the Doll Dopant jumps into the air and bumps into Makura as they hit the wall together.

The Doll Dopant lands onto Ryu's table before it jumps at Mikio who tries to run away but the Dopant kicks on his head which sends him hitting on the bookshelf, knocking Mikio out before he falls to the floor.

The Doll Dopant lands on the floor.

"Yukine!" Tsubasa calls out.

"Yeah!" Chris said.

Both Tsubasa and Chris charge at the Doll Dopant to grab it, but it dodges them by jumping above the Symphogear users as they smash into each other.

The Doll Dopant lands on top of the file drawer and grabs onto the tea cattle, Mitsuki charges at the Dopant but it jumps past him as it flew towards Makura who screams in fear before the Doll Dopant whacks the cattle on his head, knocking him out as he falls to the floor.

The Doll Dopant lands on the other table as it begins to laugh. Tsubasa and Chris stood back up while Mitsuki sighs.

"Hold still!" Mitsuki said as he moved to the Doll Dopant but stopped as he and the Dopant saw Ryu was standing close to the other door.

"So the bait worked." Ryu said.

The Doll Dopant jumps at Ryu to attack him, that's when Kanade appeared with a cardboard box in her hands as she used to catch the Dopant and placed the box on top of the table to entrap it.

Kanade holds the box down as the Doll Dopant tries to break free.

"Caught you this time!" Kanade said.

"Nice work there, Kanade." Mitsuki said, and Kanade smiled.

But then a knife had pierce from the box, no doubt belonging to the Doll Dopant and Kanade backed away from it before the Doll Dopant used the knife to cut open the hole to break free.

"Trying to run?!" Ryu said as he brought out his Accel Memory.

[ACCEL]

"Hen…shin!" Ryu said.

As Ryu transforms into Accel, the Doll Dopant jumps out of the box it was trapped in and makes a run for it with Accel following it.

"Stop!" Accel said as he and the Doll Dopant left the room.

"Philip!" Mitsuki calls out to his partner.

"I know the drill." Philip said as he brings out his Cyclone Memory and Mitsuki brings out his Joker Memory.

[CYCLONE]

[JOKER]

"Henshin!" Mitsuki and Philip said.

When the Cyclone Memory appeared in his Driver, Mitsuki inserted his Joker Memory beside it.

[CYCLONE-JOKER]

Mitsuki soon transforms into W and follows Accel and the Doll Dopant.

Accel had chased the Doll Dopant on the roof of the building as it continued to run away.

Accel then jumps over the Dopant and lands in front of it, the Doll Dopant stops as Accel turns around and swings his sword at it, the Doll Dopant dodges it by jumping in the air.

Accel looks up at the Doll Dopant before it begins to fall and laughs at it before it lands on top of Accel's face.

Accel tries to pull the Doll Dopant off of his face while blindly swinging his sword, but the Dopant has a strong hold on him.

The Doll Dopant begins attacking Accel by punching on his head and kicks on his chest.

Accel then loads his Engine Memory into his sword and pulls its trigger.

[ENGINE]

[ELECTRIC]

As electricity appeared around his Engine Blade, Accel soon placed it on the Doll Dopant's back, shocking it as it cried out in pain before it fell to the ground.

W along with Kanade, Tsubasa, and Chris had arrived.

"Give up!" W said as he moved to the Dopant.

The Doll Dopant soon stood up and W threw a punch at it, which it dodged before the Dopant placed her hands behind her back.

"Why won't you hold still?!" W-Mitsuki said before he throws another punch at it but the Doll Dopant dodges it once again.

W then throws a kick at the Dopant but she easily blocks it with her arm. W chuckles before he kicks at the Doll Dopant with his other leg, but she dodges it by jumping high in the air.

W soon removes his Joker Memory and brings out his Trigger Memory.

"I'll finish you with this!" W-Mitsuki said.

[TRIGGER]

W then inserts the Trigger Memory into his Driver.

[CYCLONE-TRIGGER]

After changing into his Trigger Form, W soon aims his Magnum at the Doll Dopant but she kicks it out of his hand before she lands behind him.

As W turns to the Doll Dopant, she does the same as she now wields his Trigger Magnum in her hand.

"Nani?!" W-Mitsuki said.

The Doll Dopant then fires compressed air bullets at both Riders dealing affective damage to them.

Chris and Tsubasa were ready to transform to fight the Doll Dopant as well, but Kanade stops them as she calls out to her.

"Stop it, Rika-chan!" Kanade said.

The Doll Dopant stops firing before she turns to Kanade as her face changes to its normal form.

"...nee-chan…"

"Huh…again?" Kanade said.

With the Doll Dopant now distracted, W uses that chance as he runs at her before he rolls on the ground and pulls his Magnum out of the Dopant's hand before he and Accel fire at it on both sides.

The Doll Dopant dodges their gunfire before she jumps into cover.

W soon stood up and jumped onto the cover the Doll Dopant was using, but it was nowhere to be seen.

"Where'd it go?!" W-Mitsuki said as he and Accel looked for it.

"Mitsuki, Spider Shock." W-Philip advised him.

W soon brings out the Spider Shock before it jumps onto the ground and sets out to find its target. After hearing the sound of the Spider Shock firing its webbing, it soon walks out of the Doll Dopant's hiding spot as the Memory Gadget was dragging it with its webs tied around the Dopant while smaller spiders move out of the hiding spot as well before they leave in different directions.

"Good job." W-Mitsuki said before he walked to the Dopant.

As Kanade looks at the Doll Dopant, she remembers hearing her voice when its face returned to normal.

"Onee-chan…"

Kanade was about to move closer to the Dopant, but in that moment she soon brought out a knife which forced her to stop.

The Doll Dopant then uses her knife to cut herself free from the webbing as she stands back up.

"Trying to run?!" W-Mitsuki said as he was to fire at her, but Accel stopped him by placing a hand on his gun.

"I'll do it." Accel said before he pulled on his Driver's clutch.

[ACCEL: MAXIMUM DRIVE]

The Doll Dopant roars as she charges at Accel. Accel soon assumes his stance as he twists his Driver's handlebar several times and flames soon appear around his body.

"Ryu, wait!" Kanade told him.

"Don't worry, it's just a Memory Break!" Accel told her before he charges at the Dopant.

The Doll Dopant jumps at Accel to attack, Accel then swings his finishing Rider Kick as it lands in front of the Dopant sending it to the ground as her facial features return to normal.

"Rika-chan!" Kanade said in worry as she runs to the defeated Doll Dopant.

She soon knelt down to the doll and picked it up.

"Rika-chan! Rika-chan! Rika-chan!" Kanade calls out to the now lifeless doll.

"Kanade." Tsubasa said as she walked to her side.

But that's when W and Accel notice that no Memory had appeared out of the doll's body.

"There's no Memory inside. That's not Horinouchi's daughter. It's just a doll." W-Philip said, the others turned to him in shock.

"For real?!" W-Mitsuki said.

Kanade turns back to the lifeless doll.

"Then…why was it moving just now?" Chris asked.

"The culprit isn't a Doll Dopant. It's a Dopant who controls dolls." W-Philip concluded.

True to his theory a pair of hands with strings attached on the tips of their fingers began to move, and then the strings appeared around the doll's body which forced Kanade to let go before they saw its controller's location thanks to the strings as they led behind some cover.

"Over there!" W-Philip said as he changed into his Luna Memory.

[LUNA-TRIGGER]

W soon changes into his Luna-Trigger form.

Just as the doll's puppetmaster begins to drag it towards him, W soon fires at him using his homing energy bullets.

Then when the bullets hit their marks, the true culprit in his Dopant form was forced to move out of his cover, revealing himself.

The Dopant's head was colored purely black with some head on the edges, it also had two blade-shape horns on top of its head along with pipes on the side, the Dopant also had a large golden mouthpiece with glass round eyes. The Dopant was wearing a white formal blazer along with a silver glittery shirt with a matching scarf around its neck and was wearing black gloves, he was also wearing black pants with white shoes.

"Oh. So this is the puppet master?" W-Mitsuki said before he was ready to fire at him again.

"Wait! Stop!" The Dopant pleaded with his hands raised in front of him.

W stopped his attempt before the Dopant removed his Gaia Memory, showing his human form to W and his friends, revealing himself as the author known as Horinouchi Keio.

Kanade wasn't surprised by that before she saw the strings on the doll's body disappear.

"Thank goodness! Rika-chan isn't that Dopant." Kanade said in relief before she brought the doll's face to her head.

"Onee-chan." The doll spoke and Kanade looked at its face. "Onee-chan. Onee-chan."

"This voice…!" Kanade said.

"Listen to the doll's voice." The doll said with Rika's voice, leaving Kanade wondering what it means by that.
