Case 20: Hand in Hand for Me, As I Waver...
In the outskirts of the city, the mobile base belonging to Maria's group was seen close to a lake.
Inside the conversion room were the black Symphogear users, Nastassja, Dr. Ver, and Ryubee who was holding his cat Mick in his arms while stroking his chin.
They were waiting for one more person to arrive and he was late.
"He's late. Shouldn't he be here by now?" Maria asked.
"Don't worry, Maria-kun. I'm sure he's just busy with his research." Ryubee said, and Maria clicked her tongue as she wasn't convinced by that.
The door soon opened and walking inside was the doctor Isaka wearing a hat before he took it off to greet everyone.
"Hello, everyone. I'm sorry to have kept you waiting." Isaka told them.
"Not at all. I say you're just in time." Dr. Ver said.
"You shouldn't be so soft on him." Nastassja told him.
Isaka then turns to Ryubee.
"I'm surprised you were able to make it, Ryubee-san. I figure a man such as you would be busy." Isaka said, and Ryubee smiled at him.
"True. But I wasn't going to miss out on such a historical event. You know me, I always have a soft spot for ancient relics." Ryubee said before he pets Mick's back.
"I suppose that's just like you."
Isaka then looks at Mick who was staring at the doctor as the Museum commander was resting in his master's arms.
"And I see you brought your pet today." Isaka said before he looked at Mick with a fascinated look on his face. "You know, I'll never cease to be amazed on what he can do with a gold Memory. I wish you could let me study him."
Isaka reaches out to pet Mick, but the cat hisses at the user of the W Memory which makes the doctor pull back his hand.
Ryubee then strokes Mick's neck to calm the cat down.
"Now, now, Mick, there's no need for that. I'm sorry about that, Isaka, Mick's is pretty much like that to strangers. But then again, animals do have a sixth sense when danger approaches them." Ryubee said, and Isaka chuckles.
"Well, I suppose I can't deny that." Isaka said.
Dr. Ver soon caught their attention by coughing in his hand.
"Sorry to interrupt, gentleman, but can I take a moment of your time please?" He asked.
"Oh, of course, Dr. Ver. Please, be our guest." Ryubee said.
"Okay. First off, I really do appreciate you two joining us in this historical event. As I already told you, we finally located the Frontier and the Shénshòujìng is ready as well. Now we have everything we need to bring about a new world." Dr. Ver said.
"That is indeed good to hear." Isaka said.
"But what about the Nephilim? Is it ready as well?" Ryubee asked.
Dr. Ver smirks before he patted his chest.
"Don't worry. It's more than ready now." He told him.
Ryubee looks at Ver's chest before he smirks in understanding.
"I see. Now if all the preparations are complete, shall we begin?" Ryubee asked.
"But of course." Dr. Ver said before he had a dark thought in mind.
'Heeheehee…soon, very soon, I'll become the hero who will guide humanity to the new world. Hahaha!'
(Bloody Stream by Coda)

(Mitsuki and Philip are seen walking together, Mitsuki putting on his hat and Philip closing his book, and they point at the screen before the title appears in front of them.)

(Mitsuki is in his office going through his case files, before Kanade handed him a cup of coffee that he happily accepted.)

(Philip was having his usual interesting research moment as he was writing on his whiteboards, before he accidentally wrote on Chris's face as she was walking towards him, Philip flinched before Chris slaps on his face. Then images of their friends and allies appeared one at a time.)

(Ryu is seen looking at his Accel Memory before he walks forward.)

(W, Accel, Hibiki, Tsubasa, and Chris are seen surrounded by Noise before they turn to each other and nodded before they charge at the Noise battling against them.)

(The mysterious Shroud is seen walking in a dark alley before she turns to the screen showing her white bandage covered face with black sunglasses.)

(The Nephilim is in its cage with Ver looking at it with an evil grin before the Nephilim roars. Then images of the Kamen Riders and Symphogear users' enemies appear one at a time, before finally showing Ryubee looking above the Gaia Well.)
(Yami wo azamuite setsuna wo kawashite! Yaiba surinuke yatusra no suki wo tsuke!)
(Shirabe wearing her black Symphogear armor fires from her head compartments, then to Kirika swinging her scythe around and finally to Maria wielding her lance as she uses her HORIZON†SPEAR attack.)

(The three black Symphogear users are standing atop a stone pillar looking down upon W, Accel, Hibiki, Tsubasa, and Chris as they get ready for battle. Then an image of a younger Maria reaching out to her sister Serena appears, and then shows the present day Maria looking at Airgetlám in sadness before a teardrop falls from her eye and onto the pendent.)

(W in his Cyclone-Joker Form is seen doing some kicks and punches as he was spinning around, and changes into his Heat-Metal swinging his Metal Shaft around, and soon changes to his Luna-Trigger firing with his Trigger Magnum, and changes to his Fang-Joker attacking with his Arm Saber, and the final spin shows W in a new and unknown form.)

(Now both Kamen Riders and Symphogear users alike are seen standing side by side as the Nephilim in its final form looking down at them, as the floating city the Frontier raises to the moon.)
The tiltrotor belonging to Maria's group was seen flying in the night sky. Piloting the tiltrotor was Maria, as she was piloting, she then remembered a certain memory from her past.
(Flashback)
Maria along with Shirabe and Kirika were in the virtual simulation room wearing their Symphogear armor. They were in a simulation of a Noise attack with civilians in a ruined city.
The simulation Noises soon approach the black Symphogear users and they soon charge at the Noise to battle them.
(Cue: Okyo Shul Shagana)
Maria roared as she used her lance to cut down several of the Noises.
Shirabe begins singing before she fires several buzzsaws at a group of Noises cutting them down to pieces.
Kirika soon brings out her scythe and attacks a Noise with it.
Maria cuts down one Noise in front of her before she turns around to attack a virtual civilian thinking that it was a Noise, during that moment she heard Nastassja's voice through her earpiece.
"Maria. Only you can hear this transmission."
Maria avoided the civilian when she heard her voice as the virtual civilian fell on its hands and knees.
Maria then thrusts her lance into one Noise.
"Shirabe and Kirika cannot hear our conversation." Nastassja told her as the two said girls were surrounded by a group of Noises.
"This again? You want me to play Finé, right?" Maria asked before she resumed attacking the virtual Noises.
"We require Dr. Ver's help in order to proceed with our plan. To win him over to our side, he must believe that you harbor Finé's soul in your body and thus, that we control the ultimate in heretical technology." Nastassja told her.
"I can't do it!" Maria said as she closed her eyes. "We might be receptor children…orphans gathered together as potential hosts for Finé, but in truth, none of us were able to take on her soul! It's too late!"
Maira fires a beam at a Noise but ends up hitting a civilian in the process. Seeing that shocked Maria while Kirika and Shirabe were surprised by this.
As Maria was trying to process this mistake, a holographic screen appeared saying 'Failed. Mission incomplete.'
The holographic projector turns off and the room returns to normal. Dr. Ver was standing next to the door and clapping to the black Symphogear users.
"The Symphogear system grants incredible power, does it not?" Dr. Ver asked before he walked to Kirika and Shirabe and placed her hands on Kirika's shoulders. "As does my newly improved LiNKER that helps boost your low sync rates."
He then placed a hand on Shirabe's head to rub his hands on them.
"With this power, you can hold the world in your hands as heroes." Dr. Ver said with a grin on his face and soon chuckled.
Maria glares at the mad doctor while Nastassja coldly stares at him.
(End of flashback)
'But Mom said I didn't need to play Finé anymore. We have the Shénshòujìng and the Nephilim's heart, both keys necessary to activate the Frontier. Why would she say there was no longer any need for pretense?' Maria thought in wonder as she looked at the rader showing that their mobile base is now close to the Frontier.
In the medical bay, Kirika was lying on the bed as Dr. Ver was doing a scan on her body to check for any of the negative effects of LiNKER overdose, and the scans showed she was now clear of the overdose.
Also in the room were Nastassja, Shirabe, Ryubee along with his cat, Mick.
"The negative effects of the LiNKER overdose have finally worn off." Dr. Ver told her as Kirika sat up and Shirabe smiled at her.
"Thank goodness. Now we won't be holding everyone back." Shirabe said.
"Just be sure not to be too reckless. I would hate to see you girls dying at a young age." Ryubee said, and Shirabe gave the leader of Museum a cold stare.
"I don't need you telling me that." Shirabe said and Ryubee chuckled.
"As well as using LiNKER to create Gear users, it is also your job to oversee and support those users. I trust you will continue to do so." Nastassja told the doctor.
"But of course. I'll be sure to take good care of your body too." Dr. Ver said with a smile on his face and Nastassja narrowed her eye at him.
Kirika was looking at the floor with a disheartened look on her face. She soon remembers that one time bringing out that forcefield to protect herself and the unconscious Shirabe from the falling pipes.
'Did…Did I do that? How could I have? Who is-' Kirika thought as the image of Finé flashed in her mind two times, causing her to gasp in fear.
Everyone then turns to Kirika when they hear that.
"Kiri-chan, what's wrong?" Shirabe asked.
Kirika then lowered her head and placed a hand on her arm.
"It's nothing…I'm fine…" Kirika answered while trying her best to contain her fear.
Mick stares at Kirika and could somehow sense that she was disheartened right now, the cat then jumps down from his master's arms and climbs onto the bed right to Kirika's side.
"Mick?" Ryubee said in confusion.
Kirika turns to the cat, and Mick rubs on her arm to give her some comfort, Ryubee raises an eyebrow to see this.
"Well, I'll be. I never saw Mick that friendly with strangers before." Ryubee said.
Kirika smiles at Mick before she begins to pet him on the head.
'Trying to cheer me up. Thanks.' Kirika said.
Everyone then had a cough from the door, and it was from Isaka who was standing close to the door.
"Sorry to interrupt, but we'll be arriving at our destination soon." Isaka told them.
"I see." Dr. Ver said before he had a large grin on his face.
The tiltrotor was now flying above the Frontier's exact location. The Frontier was about as big as an island and was deep within the ocean floors. The members of Finé along with Ryubee and Isaka were in the cockpit.
"Maria, please proceed." Nastassja told her.
Maria then pressed a few buttons, a hidden compartment opened flying out of it was a propeller drone as it flew in the air and soon brought out a mirror like part from the bottom.
"Shuttle marker activated." Maria said.
"Deactivate cloaking. Focus the Shénshòujìng's energy." Nastassja said.
Then the mobile base turns off its cloaking and the pendant that is attached to the controls begins to light up.
"The Shénshòujìng, found at Mt. Minakami in Nagano prefecture, is a mirror relic. Should the ancient tales be true, it is not only capable of bending light to create optical camouflage but also has the power to exorcise evil." Nastassja said.
Almost everyone in room knows that Finé who used her Ryoko had led a team of scientists and archaeologists to retrieve the said relic which led to the death of Kanade's parents and little sister along with the other members of the excavation team and that gave Finé the perfect chance to get the Shénshòujìng.
"Ah, yes. If I recall, Finé used her Ryoko persona to get that relic. Which also led to the death of that Amou girl's family." Ryubee said.
"But she wasn't able to find the perfect user for it, is that correct?" Isaka asked.
"Yes. But we were able to find more uses for the Shénshòujìng. With its power we will negate and release the relic-powered seal on the Frontier." Nastassja said as she uses her control to bring out a hidden laser device from the tiltrotor.
Before she could use it though, Dr. Ver stops her as he grabs onto her wrist.
"Once you unseal the Frontier, you will make its existence known to the world. Shouldn't we wait until we have completed all the preparations?" Dr. Ver asked.
"The doctor does have a point. The Japanese government is one thing, but there's no telling how the other world powers will react to this." Ryubee said.
"You need not worry." Nastassja told them with a strong resolve in her voice.
Dr. Ver was slightly surprised to hear that before he let go of her wrist, and Ryubee smirks.
"Of course. Fortune does favor the bold. Please, proceed." Ryubee said.
"Beam volley, discharge." Nastassja soon pressed a button on her controls, and the device that contains the Shénshòujìng's pendant glows brighter.
With that a beam of purple light fired from the laser device, the beam flew towards the marker and it reflected upon the mirror when it made contact and the beam of light now moved straight into the ocean diving into the Frontier's direct location.
Dr. Ver chuckles to witness this grand moment that will change their world as they know it.
"Now the seal upon the Frontier shall be no more! No more!" Dr. Ver cheered in excitement.
The beam of light made contact with the Frontier which made a large burst from the rocks and stones in the ocean floor, and that same burst reached to the surface which created a large splash of water.
"No mo-" Dr. Ver said before the splash of water soon went down and the Frontier didn't rise from the ocean floor.
Dr. Ver was shocked to see this.
"It didn't work?"
Both Shirabe and Kirika were confused about what happened while Ryubee raised an eyebrow.
"It…It wasn't…It wasn't unsealed?" Dr. Ver said as he took a few steps back as he was still trying to process this.
"Care to explain what went wrong, Nastassja-san?" Isaka asked.
"The power was insufficient. Even the Shénshòujìng's power is not enough to undo the Frontier's seal if we only amplify it mechanically." Nastassja explained to them, and Ryubee smiles in understanding as he chuckles.
"I see. That makes sense. Artificial enhancements alone can only get you so far." Ryubee said.
"You knew?" Dr. Ver said as he glared at Nastassja. "You're a specialist in relics. I can't for one second imagine that you failed to realize this when you first investigated the area. Did you bring us here merely to demonstrate how far we still are from unsealing the Frontier?"
Nastassja then turns to Ver.
"I believe we need to discuss the important details of what will come next." Nastassja told him.
Dr. Ver angrily grits his teeth.
(Days later)
Both Mitsuki and Kanade were working on a case, but it was a minor one as they were hired to find someone's pet bird.
Their client who was a young girl was holding the cage her pet bird was now in.
"Coco-chan! I'm so glad you're back." She said with tears of joy as she looked at her and the bird began to chirp. She then turns towards Mitsuki and Kanade. "Thank you so much for this."
Both Mitsuki and Kanade were a complete mess, their clothes and hair were messy and they had some feathers on them as well.
"It's no problem." Mitsuki said before he spit out some feathers that were in his mouth. "Just be sure to keep your window closed from now on."
After saying their farewell to their client, Mitsuki and Kanade head back to the agency while moving the feathers that were on their clothes and hair.
"Man…I never suspected that finding a lost bird would be so difficult." Kanade said as she removed the feathers from her hair.
"Tell me about it. I guess we should be lucky it didn't poop on us." Mitsuki said as he removed the feathers on his hat and blew on it.
"That's true." Kanade said as she removed the remaining feathers on her clothes. "Also, Mitsuki, I heard that you avoided a chance to hang out with Hibiki and Miku again."
Mitsuki sighed to hear that before he put his hat on.
"We talk about this Kanade. The further I am from them, the safer they can be." Mitsuki said.
"I understand, really. But don't you think you're being selfish at this point?" Kanade asked.
Mitsuki frowns before he adjusted his hat to hide his eyes.
"That's just how a hardboiled man like me lives." Mitsuki said, and Kanade rolled her eyes.
"Sure, be that way then." Kanade said.
(Meanwhile)
Both Maira and Nastassja were in Fuuto Tower as they were in an elevator heading towards one of the top floors before it stopped and moved into the hallway as Maria was pushing Nastassja's wheelchair.
As they were in the hallway, Maria thought back to Nastassja's words that it was time for her to stop playing the role as the inheritor of Finé's soul.
"I don't need you to play the role of the new Finé anymore."
"Mom, what did you mean?" Maria asked.
"Exactly what I said." Nastassja told her.
"Up until now, we've taken on the role of terrorists. However, our true duty is to free humanity from the curse of Balal. Is it not?" Nastassja asked.
"So, are you saying we can't free the world as we are now?" Maria asked.
Both Maria and Nastassja soon entered a certain room, and to Maria's surprise she saw several men wearing black suits and sunglasses waiting for them inside.
"Mom, who are they?" Maria asked.
"American government agents. I called them here for negotiations." Nastassja explained to her.
"You want to strike a deal with them?" Maria asked before Nastassja moved to the table in the room.
"I told Dr. Ver and Ryubee-san as well. Let us discuss the important details of what will come next." Nastassja said as Maria had a concerned look on her face.
Also inside Fuuto Tower was Hibiki as she was inside of an aquarium room standing in front of the fishtank to look at the fish inside. As she was staring at the fishtank, Hibiki could hear Tsubasa's voice echoing in her head when she heard the truth about her condition.
"You're going to die, Tachibana!"
'Die…If I keep fighting, I'll die. When you think about it, it's pretty obvious. But at some point, I lost track of that and started to believe that it didn't apply to me.' Hibiki thought before she remembered her past battles using Gungnir. 'Are there people who need me, even if I can't fight?'
Interrupting her train of thought was a cold sensation of a soda can as it was placed on her cheek. Hibiki screams in shock as she flicks her fingers.
As everyone looked at her, Hibiki soon saw it was from Miku who was holding two cans of soda in her hands.
"Don't shout like that." Miku told her.
"W-Wouldn't anyone yell if you did that to them?" Hibiki asked before Miku gave one of the drinks.
"It's your fault." Miku stated.
"Me?" Hibiki asked as she pointed at herself.
"We don't often get this kind of chance to hang out together, but you're acting like you're bored out of your mind." Miku told her.
"Aaahhh…Sorry…" Hibiki said before she smiled at Miku. "Don't worry! It's been so long since we last went on a date! Of course I'm having fun! Though, I still wish Mitsuki and Philip-kun would still join."
"Hibiki…" Miku mutters as she remembers her promise to Mitsuki.
"Let's move on!" Hibiki said as she grabbed onto Miku's hand. "We should enjoy every bit of fun Fuuto Tower has for us!"
Hibiki and Miku soon moved to another location to have some more fun.
In their mobile base, Shirabe was preparing lunch for both her and Kirika, which were cups of instant ramen, she uses a spoon to test out the taste and smiles in satisfaction.
"It tastes just like I thought." Shirabe said before she left to get Kirika.
Kirika was seen outside of the tiltrotor as she was seated on the ground with her back against the tree, and Kirika was in deep thought right now.
'Reincarnation…If I'm the vessel for Finé's soul, does that mean my own soul's going to disappear?' Kirika thought as she held her legs slightly closer before she realized something. 'Wait a moment. If that's the case, then how can Maria be Finé?'
Kirika then saw Shirabe had arrived as she approached her best friend.
"Kiri-chan, food's ready." Shirabe said before she stopped in front of her.
"Th-Thanks! What did you make?" Kirika asked.
Shirabe smiled and made a V-sign.
"298 yen." Shirabe answered and Kirika smiled as she stood up.
"Sounds great!" Kirika said.
"Is the doctor out on some mission? I didn't see him around." Shirabe said.
"I don't know, and I don't care! Let's eat before he shows his ugly mug around here and spoils it!" Kirika said before she moved to their mobile base and Shirabe followed her.
After their negotiations were now done, Maria gave the American spies a memory card that contains their data about heretical technology.
"Thank you. We gladly accept the information you've provided regarding heretical technology." He told them before Maria moved to Nastassja's side.
"I will assist you in making full use of it. Now then." Nastassja said.
But then, the American spies brought out and aimed their guns at Maria and Nastassja.
"Mom!" Maria said, and Nastassja narrowed her eye.
Their leader smiles at them.
"Bullets kill faster and more mercilessly than your songs."
Maria grits her teeth and clenches her hand.
"Did you intend to spurn our deal from the very start?" Nastassja asked.
"We got what we wanted. Now we simply need to dispose of what we don-" He said before he noticed a group of flying Noises had appeared outside behind the window beside the room.
Maria was surprised by this as she and Nastassja looked at them. The American spies were also surprised by this.
"Noise?!"
Then one of the Noises phases through the window and enter the room as it soon grabs onto three agents turning them into ashes.
As two of the agents were horrified to see that, another Noise phased through the ceiling and landed behind them before they turned at the Noise in fear before several more Noises appeared from the ceiling and entered the room.
Inside a building that was close to Fuuto Tower, Dr. Ver was seated at a dining table with Solomon's Cane beside him showing that he was the one who unleashed the Noise that had surrounded the tower and was now inside.
"Why does everyone have to be so reckless?" Dr. Ver said before he drank a cup of tea.
The Noise easily killed the American agents as their bodies turned to ash as they died screaming.
"Granzizel Bilfen Gungnir zizzl..." Maria sings and with that she changes into her Symphogear armor.
(Cue: Resso Gungnir)
Thanks to that, the Noise changes color, Maria now wielding her lance begins to sing.
Maria soon charges at two Noises and cuts them down with her lance before three other approaches and Maria cuts them down with a single slash.
Then an explosion appeared from behind the door.
Hibiki and Miku were in the viewing room on top of Fuuto Tower as they along with the other people inside heard that explosion.
"What was that?" Miku said.
As they wondered what was happening everyone soon saw the flying type Noises had appeared as they surrounded the tower.
"What? Is that the Noise?! We gotta get out of here!" One of them said as they ran away while screaming.
Hibiki was about to run in and fight the Noise, but Miku stops her as she grabs onto her hand.
"You mustn't go! Don't go!" Miku told her.
"Miku? But I have to!" Hibiki said.
"I won't let you! I don't want you to let you fight! I don't want you to leave me!" Miku said.
Then both Hibki and Miku soon notice a crying boy calling out for her mother.
"Mommy, where are you? Mommy!"
"I'll be fine as long as I don't use the Gungnir! I have to do something!" Hibiki told her.
"Hibiki…" Miku said in worry.
Hibiki manages to pull her hand free and rushes to help that boy, and Miku soon follows her.
In the Narumi Detective Agency, Mitsuki, Philip, and Kanade were eating some burgers and fries for lunch as they were eating, Mitsuki soon got a call from Genjuro and was told what was happening.
"What?! Noise has appeared around Fuuto Tower?!" Mitsuki said with some of his food in his mouth.
'That's right! And Hibiki-kun and Miku-kun are right in the middle of it!" Genjuro said.
"Nani?!" Mitsuki shouted as he stood up and swallowed his food.
He soon moves to the hangar as he brings out his Driver.
"Philip!" Mitsuki said as Philip had finished eating his fries and dusted his hands.
"I'm on it!" Philip said as he stood up.
Both Mitsuki and Philip bring out their Gaia Memories and insert them into their Drivers.
[CYCLONE-JOKER]
Mitsuki transforms into W and Kanade soon catches Philip's falling body.
"Man…Did it really have to be in the middle of our lunch?" Kanade said in annoyance.
W soon climbs onto his bike which was set on the RevolGarry before it closes up and assembles its parts.
Then the RevolGarry raced out of the hangar and headed outside, the Garry soon towards Fuuto Tower to where the Noise had appeared along with Hibiki and Miku.
"Just hang on you two, I'm coming!" W-Mitsuki swore as he twisted the handlebars to speed up the RevolGarry.
After destroying the Noise inside, Maria uses her foot to crush the data card that they have given to the American agents as it was now on the floor, breaking it into pieces.
Maria then moves to Nastassja to pick her up and carry her on her shoulder, she soon picks up her lance and leaves the room.
As Maria was running in the hallway, a group of Noises had appeared in front of her but that didn't stop Maria as she kept on running and used her lance to destroy them.
Maria soon turns to another hallway before explosions appear in the hallway behind her.
Then several more explosions appeared around the viewing floor from the outside.
Dr. Ver was leaning on the window with a crazed grin on his face as he watched this as he began to chuckle.
Then appearing in the elevator in front of Maria was a group of armed soldiers as they moved in front of Maria and fired their guns at her.
Maria was kneeling on the as she uses her cape to block their gunfire. She then uses her cape to attack two of the armed soldiers, sending them to the floor.
Maria then charges at the other three before she kicks one of them, just as Maria was about to attack the other two, an icy blizzard appeared behind and surrounded their bodies.
Then when the blizzard died down, the soldiers were left in frozen states before they shattered into pieces.
Maria was left horrified by what happened.
"It seems like Ver was right that you needed my assistance."
Maria then saw Isaka, in his Dopant form, standing in front of her.
'You…' Maria thought as she glared at him.
"Oh my, why the glare? I mean I am here to help you, remember?" Isaka asked, and Maria turned away from him.
"Maria. Isaka. There are likely more waiting below, so let us make our escape from above." Nastassja told her.
Heeding her advice, Maria kicks down a door that leads to a staircase before she jumps up and above the stairs, and Isaka follows by using his powers to fly.
Hibiki and Miku were guiding the crying scared boy to the staircase, as he was crying the teenage girls were comforting him.
"Come on, now, boys shouldn't cry." Miku told him.
"Let's take shelter like everyone else. I'm sure your mommy is there waiting for you." Hibiki told him.
Then one of the tower's staff workers soon runs out of the stairway and stops in front of them.
"Are you okay?" He asked before he knelt down to pick up the boy and carried the boy. "Come on, this way! You girls too!"
He soon stood up and ran down the stairs to bring the boy to safety.
Hibiki and Miku smiled, they were about to go in and run down the stairs, but then one of the flying Noises outside smashed into the floor above them creating an explosion.
Parts from the ceiling broke apart and headed towards Hibiki.
"Look out!" Miku shouted as she rushed in and pushed Hibiki to the floor to avoid the falling debris.
Then two of the flying Noises smashed into the viewing room.
In the hallways, Maria, Nastassja, and Isaka had encountered another group of armed soldiers as they fired at them with Maria using her cape to protect herself and Nastassja in the front while Isaka protected them from the back as he used a tornado to block their gunfire.
But during the gunfire, two civilians were shot in the back and fell to the floor. Seeing that horrified Maria before she glares at the soldiers.
Maria soon uses her cape to attack them, sending them to the floor. Maria looked at the gundown bodies before she stood up.
"Maria…" Nastassja said in sadness as she looked at her.
Just as Isaka uses bolts of thunder to kill the soldiers in front of him, he turns to Maria.
Another group had soon arrived as they ran towards Maria, Nastassja, and Isaka.
"This is all my fault…" Maria mutters as she stops singing.
The armed soldiers stop and aim their guns at them, Isaka was about to handle them but Maria soon turns at the soldiers.
"It's all my fault for failing to become Finé's vessel!" Maria shouted as she used her cape to attack one of the soldiers.
She then jumps to the other three as she kicks one in the face, Maria then kicks another beside and attacks the other two with her lance sending them flying before they fall on the floor.
Maria then grits her teeth and tightly closes her eyes as a tear forms on one of them.
Isaka then lowered his hand.
"Hmm…I guess she didn't need my help afterall."
Both Hibiki and Miku were now seated on the floor but the path to the stairs was now blocked by debris.
"Thanks, Miku." Hibiki said, and Miku nodded.
"But you know, Hibiki-" Miku said.
But then the floor below begins to shake and fall apart, Hibiki loses her balance and falls off the edge.
"Hibiki!" Miku shouted as she quickly jumped and grabbed onto her wrist which left Hibiki dangling on the edge as Miku struggled to keep her hold on her.
After dealing with the remaining soldiers, Maria was left panting while a group of civilians were on the floor as they looked at her and Isaka in fear.
"Oh, no! Help! Someone help!" One of them said before Isaka turned to them.
"I suppose we can't have any witnesses here." Isaka said as he aimed his hand at them to deal with them personally, but Maria stopped him by bringing her lance to his neck.
"Don't you dare!" Maria told him before she turned to the civilians. "Don't panic! Just run!"
"It was a mistake letting them go like that. And here I thought you have the resolve to get your hands dirty." Isaka said before Maria removed her lance and thought back when she made her declaration to the world after her concert with Tsubasa.
"Don't panic!"
'Those words…In truth, they were directed at myself, not at others.' Maria thought to herself.
"Maria…" Nastassja said as she looked at her.
Maria soon picked up and carried Nastassja under her arm.
"I will hesitate no longer! We're getting out of here!" Maria said as she aimed her lance to the ceiling.
Her lance then begins to spin rapidly, and her cloak spun along with it forming a drill, she then jumps into the ceiling to move towards the top, Isaka then uses his powers to follow her.
Fuuto Tower was left heavily damaged as smoke and fire appeared around some of the damaged spots.
"Miku! The floor won't hold for long! Let me go!" Hibiki told her.
"No! I promised Mitsuki that I'll protect you, Hibiki!" Miku told her.
"Miku…" Hibiku mutters before she smiles at her. "One day, when I'm really in trouble…You can save me then. But today, let me do my part."
Tears begin to appear on Miku's eyes before her hold on Hibiki begins to slip as she struggles to pull her back up.
"I want to protect you…You and Mitsuki! I want to protect you both!" Miku cries out.
Then in that moment, Hibiki's hand slipped out of Miku's fingers and Hibiki fell to the ground below.
"Hibiki!" Miku shouted.
Hibiki smiles at her as she falls, she then sings her chant.
"Balwisyall nescell Gungnir tron…"
Hibiki spun around and changed into her Symphogear armor, thanks to that she landed on her feet which created a large crack on the ground.
Steam then shot out of her greaves, Hibiki then stood up and turned to the tower.
"Miku! I'm coming for you!" Hibiki said.
But then, another explosion had appeared on the top of Fuuto Tower, Hibiki gasped in both shock and horror as the explosion appeared right where she fell off and where Miku was currently on.
"Miku!" Hibiki shouted in horror.
