Chapter 2 Aftermath
Author's Note: I'm working really hard to make this story as good and well written as possible so I need to take my time to write. Also I have stuff periodically going on in my life and I'm prone to writing blocks. In spite of this I'll try and have a new chapter out every one or two months. Also I'm releasing this chapter early so whoever keeps asking me when the next chapter will be has an answer.
Xavier had been abusing Goten for about as long as he could remember. At first, it started with him simply blaming Goten for various misdeeds Xavier himself had committed such as accidentally breaking a window, mom's garden getting stomped on or ripping holes in furniture. As time passed and the twins grew older, his abuse evolved into giving Goten direct orders and berating him if the tasks were in anyway incomplete or incorrectly done. Sometimes Xavier would just randomly injure Goten with the excuse being that he was just trying to keep his bro on his toes despite the fact that sometimes the toes were the things he broke. Now you might be thinking, why doesn't there mom or revived dad do anything about it? Well the answer was simple, they weren't aware of it. They nor any of Goten's circle of friends and family knew about Xavier's dark side or his mistreatment of Goten. Xavier acted like a normal child around everyone else as far as Goten knew or saw. Everyone either missed the events entirely without ever realizing they happened at all or they would find out but only after the fact and the twins twisted the story so that they believed it was just an accident or Goten did it on his own. This caused Goten to be seen as the dumb troublemaker kid that always messed things up. Of course most of them didn't outright say that but one could easily tell that's what they were thinking. Not even Goten's "best" friend Trunks truly respected him.
At Capsule Corp A Few Days Later
"Ahhhh!" Trunks exclaimed as he rushed in at Goten who blocked his punch with his arms. Goten then twirled around going for a kick only for Trunks to block it with his arms. Goten had finally be ungrounded for killing Bee and he along with Xavier had come to visit. Goten wanted to spar with Trunks again but Xavier actually went to where Bulma was constructing new spaceships for her company, saying that he was interested in them. "Why is Xavier so keen about the spaceships? Anytime Mom gives us astronomy lessons he always says there boring" Goten wondered in his mind but shoved the thought down once he spotted Trunks incoming for another attack. Trunks zoomed towards Goten again this time kneeing his friend against his own. "Owww ahhh!" Goten howled falling onto the ground recoiling in pain as the knee Trunks struck was the one Xavier injured a few days ago and it still hurt a lot when hit. "Dude? What's wrong with you now?" Trunks asked sounding more annoyed than concerned. "Uhh.. I tripped and fell down some stairs the other day and my knee is still sore from that..." Goten fibbed through his teeth sheepishly rubbing the back of his head embarrassed. "Again? Man Goten you are so clumsy and stupid sometimes! Ha ha ha!" Trunks remarked laughing cruelly. Goten narrowed his eyes in annoyance of Trunks's insult before he sulked. "I'm not stupid..." Goten whined looking down at the ground in shame. "Oh really Goten? You came this close to getting Buu mad and possibly him blowing you up when you killed his dog. Seriously dude? No one except those who are retards kill pets just by petting them!" Trunks barked back belittling Goten and his intelligence even more.
Flashback to just after Bee's Death
"BOY KILLED BEE!! BUU GONNA KILL HIM!!!" Majin Buu screamed with rage at the cowering Goten. His parents, Hercule and Majin Buu had just returned to pick up Bee and were shocked to find his caved in corpse to say the least and it left Majin Buu at the brink of going berserk. "Woah Woah whoa Buu wait! We can revive Bee with the dragon balls! They'll be active again in only a couple months! Please don't kill Goten, I'm sure he didn't meant to do it!" Goku pleaded frantically trying to get Majin Buu to calm down and spare his son. Majin Buu glared at Goku and then back at Goten. After a few very intense moments Majin Buu's dark face lightened up a bit and then he spoke. "Ok, Buu won't kill boy, but boy never allowed to play with Bee after Bee brought back to life" Buu said in his own weirdly firm tone and broken English. Goku and Goten breathed huge sighs of relief. "Phew...that was close...come on buddy, I'll treat you to a feast worthy of champs like me!" Hercule proposed as to further quell Majin Buu's temper and get him a safer distance away from Goten. Majin Buu thankfully accepted the offer and him and Hercule left the son house. The new peace was disrupted when Chi Chi and Xavier walked in with the former going and giving Goten a bang with a frying pan. "Owww! Mom!" Goten whined softly holding his head in pain from the blow. "Don't give me that young man! What were you thinking?! You know how to control your strength so why did you kill the dog!" Chi chi snapped back very angry and disappointed in her son. Goten's eyes watered up more at his mother's angered glare. "I... I" Goten stuttered unable to come up with an excuse. He looked at Xavier to help but his twin brother just turned his head around and whistled in an innocent manner. "Chi chi cut him slack. Goten's at least a thousand times stronger than I or Gohan were at his age. Frankly I think it's a miracle he hasn't hurt or killed anyone else!" Goku reasoned knowing that he and even Gohan struggled to control their strength when they attained their level of power and they were both two to four times Goten's age when they did. "He breaks stuff all the time Goku! He's clearly not controlling putting any effort into controlling himself! Just look what he did to my garden the other day!" Chi chi argued back pointing to her ruined flowers and peppers. "I'm sorry mommy... I'm just clumsy sometimes..." Goten whimpered. "Hmph I don't buy it Goten! Your doing this on purpose! Why can't you be more like your brothers?! Your grounded! Go to your room right now!" Chi chi scolded pointing demandingly at Goten to his room which Goten reluctantly went to. Xavier smiled evilly unknowingly to his parents.
End of Flashback
"I didn't mean to do that..." Goten whined again. "Yeah yeah you never do man. I'm not gonna bother anymore, your tiny brain just doesn't work well I understand" Trunks said with a smug grin. Before Goten could retort in any way Xavier walked towards them. "Hey bro I need you to walk with me to a friend of mine's house with me" Xavier asked. "Why can't you walk down there yourself Xavier?" Goten questioned confused and a little suspicious. "Because the road he lives on is kinda spooky so I want somebody with me in case there's muggers or Girl Scouts trying to sell their cookies down there" Xavier explained in a kinda shy and nervous tone shaking and holding himself. Goten could see right through the act but Trunks fell for it and the lavender haired boy laughed wholeheartedly. "Ha ha ha! Xavier! Your as much of a wuss as Goten is a dummy!" Trunks mocked the two son twins. "Oh shut up!" Xavier yelled back indignantly. Calming down, Xavier resumed his nervous facade. "Come on bro, I'd like to get there before nightfall" Xavier insisted. "Uhh...sure Xavier let's go!" Goten agreed confused but excited and interested to see who is twin brother was friends with as they started exiting the capsule corp yard. "So long you low class losers! Ha ha ha!" Trunks yelled out laughing intending on giving the twins one last insult. Goten did his best to not show his hurt and simply kept walking. Xavier however paused and turned back around to face Trunks. "You know Trunks, our father once told yours that even a low level can surpass an elite if he or she tries hard enough. He proved himself right, did he not? So with that fact in mind do you honestly think it's a good idea to keep pushing us?" Xavier asked with a devious smile. "What's that supposed to mean?" Trunks inquired bewildered by Xavier's comment. "Means whatever you want it to mean bub. It could mean a simple payback prank" Xavier said shrugging before his expression darkened and his smile widened slightly. "Or perhaps something much more...fun, well maybe not necessarily fun for you but certainly fun for someone else, bye bye" Xavier said in creepy ominous fashion as he waved goodbye, turned around and speed walked to meet back up with Goten. Trunks was left very perplexed by Xavier's choice of words and their meaning. He tried to put it all together in his mind before he ultimately decided that it wasn't worth figuring out and Xavier was just messing with him. "Tck what a weirdo" Trunks scowled before retreating inside to find something else to do.
