161 days until extermination day

At the secret Team Flare base in hell, Dr Xeosect was having a chat with his boss, who was incredibly upset. "So not only did you not get any information about the angel's demise but you also had Nathan in the palm of your hand and HE SLIPS RIGHT OUT OF YOUR F*(KING FINGERS!?" "With all due respect, boss, he and Miss Carmine were extremely formidable!" Dr Xeosect pleaded. "I DON'T WANT EXCUSES!" The boss roared. "YOU BETTER COME BRING ME THAT CHILD, FIND OUT HOW THAT ANGEL WAS SLAIN OR I WILL GRAB YOU BY YOUR LEGS AND FEED YOU TO A HUNGRY GYARADOS! UNDERSTAND!?" "Yes sir." The villain then hung up while his admin was on his way.

In the angel base. The boss pinched his temple in annoyance. "I swear that man's whole life purpose is to disappoint me…." He then got up from his chair, grabbed his cane and stepped to see his newest project. "Is it almost ready?" The boss asked. "Nearly in completion, sir. All we need is a couple pieces of equipment found in the Kalos region to finalize it." The grunt explained. "Hmmm that complicates matters…." The hooded figure said, holding his chin. "Summon Adam! Despite his lack of attention span, among other things… he and his army will be of assistance."

"You want ME? And my army to help you track down your parts in geosenge town?" Adam laughed. "At least it will give you something to do other than just sitting around and eating junk food!" The cloaked man stated. "Hey f*(k you! My body is a temple!" Adam said before grabbing a nearby three patty cheeseburger and taking a huge bite. "Yeah… a temple of shame…." The cloaked man groaned. "Will you help us or not?" "Ugh… fine me and some of my squads will help you! But f*(kin' owe us a day away from you!" "It's a deal!"

Back down in hell, Charlie was playing with Phantom flare and Flamefox, playing around and testing its abilities. "Alright Phantom Flare, use a fire attack!" She ordered before the litwick spouted a small fire blast that set a small fire to the couch. "Gah!" Charlie immediately rushed over and out the fire with her jacket. "Night tide, put out the fire!" A small water shuriken was thrown and put out the flames. Charlie turned to see Nathan with his Greninja beside him. "What are you doing?" He asked. "Oh I was just training with Phantom Flare here." Charlie explained awkwardly. "Wait, were you trying to be like me?" Nathan said, curiously. "Well I wouldn't say that, but when you gave me and my friends these Pokémon, I thought I might try what you do!" Charlie replied. "Well being a Pokémon trainer isn't always just commanding moves to Pokémon." Nathan said as Charlie returned her Pokémon to their balls. "Tell you what, everyone's out right now, how about we go outside and I'll show you the ropes?" Charlie smiled. "I think I'd like that!"

Out on the front lawn, Charlie and Nathan stood outside with pokeballs in each other's hands. "Ok, so when it comes to Pokémon battles, be it wild or someone's partner, one of the most important things to consider is the typing, be it moves or the Pokémon itself." Nathan began while Charlie was charting down notes before he pulled out a bunch of note cards. "Each Pokémon has a unique type or two, while there are the classic, fire water and grass typing there's also other types, such as: ghost, fighting, and one of my personal favorites, dragon!" "Ooh dragons are a type!" Charlie said as she continued to chalk down notes. "So whilst some types are weak to others, two of which are weak to their own. Wanna know what those are?" "Uh, grass and water?" "Nope." "Psychic and steel?" "Close try again…." "Uh… normal and fire!?" "Close but no!" Nathan then pulled up two cards of two types. "It's ghost and dragon!" "Ghost and dragon types…." "Now while some moves are super effective against one another, if you use type of moves on a types that are weaker against the Pokémon type, it will do less damage or in some cases not affect them at all, such as ghost's immunity to normal and fighting, ground's immunity to electric, and fairy's immunity to dragon! Don't ask me how that works, I'm still trying to wrap my head around it…."

Nathan then pulled out a pokeball and unleashed a small humanoid Pokémon with green hair that was in a bowl cut with two round horns that were vertical from one another. "Now this is ralts, it's a psychic and fairy type, now which move types do you think will defeat it?" "Uh I don't actually know what moves my litwick knows…." Charlie stated. "Ok! Here let me help with that." Nathan said before pulling out his Pokédex. "Pokédex, what moves does this litwick know?" "This litwick knows the moves: fire spin, confuse ray, acid, and nightshade." The Pokédex stated. "Ok, not a bad moveset, but it's good for beginners." Nathan said, putting his dex away. "Now let's try this again, now which move types do you think will defeat this Ralts?" "Um… nightshade…?" Charlie answered. "Ok ok, and what else?" "Uh… fire spin?" "No, try again…." "Uh acid?" "Yes! Now try to use one of those moves on Ralts!" "Ok… Phantom Flare! Use… use acid!" The litwick then generated a small acid ball and flung it to the Ralts, which gave it much damage. "Alright! Good now use the other move!" Nathan said. "Ok! Fire spin- WAIT I MEAN…!" But it was too late as the litwick generated a small fire tornado that snared the Ralts. "Oh no I used the wrong move!" Charlie cried, covering her face in shame. "No worries, just use the other move!" Nathan said, reassuring Charlie. "Ok… Phantom flare, use nightshade!" Phantom flare then generated a dark aura that decided on the Ralts and managed to knock it out. Charlie and her litwick cheered upon their victory. "Ok, now let's use a different Pokémon!" Charlie then returned her litwick to his ball, and put it away.

"Ok try a different Pokémon, you're up next budew!" Nathan then sent out a small green seed like Pokémon with yellow face and a bib. "Ok, now Bedew is a grass and poison type, so which type do you think will beat it?" Nathan asked. "Uh… ice!" "True but you don't have an ice type on you, try again." "Uh… fire!" "Yes, now pull out a fire type!" Charlie then proceeded to release her fennekin who stretched a little. "Ok then, Pokédex, what moves does Fennekin know?" Nathan said, pulling out his Pokédex. "This fennekin knows the moves: scratch, ember tail whip, and toxic." The Pokédex stated. "Ok, now what moves do you think will be super effective against this budew?" "Uh…scratch!" "Try again…." "Uh… ember!" "There we go! Now use that move!" "Ok! Flamefox, use ember!" The fennekin then spat a small fireball at the budew which damaged it. "Yeah!" "Great, now try again!" Charlie then ordered another ember attack on the bedew, this time defeating it.

"Great! So what's next, should we battle!?" Charlie cheered. "Whoa, slow down!" Nathan said with his hands in the air. "I'm waaay too tough to battle, and you just have two Pokémon! Beating you would just be unfair!" The hotel owner lowered her head in shame. "Don't worry, you'll be fine, I could teach you how to catch Pokémon." Charlie raised her head. "But unfortunately the only place where there are Pokémon is in my world and I have no idea on how to get back…." Charlie lowered her head before remembering something. "I think I have a way for us to get to your world!" Nathan's eyes widened. "Wait, YOU CAN!?" He yelled. "Well kinda, I learned how to do portals that open doorways to other worlds when my mom was still here." Charlie explained, looking down for a second. "Well can you open a portal?" "I can but I need a piece from the realm I need to travel." Nathan immediately pulled out a piece of hair and gave it to Charlie. "Take it!" "Uh actually I didn't say I needed a hair I mean anything…" "JUST TAKE IT!" Charlie stopped before grabbing the hair. "Take a step back…." Nathan stepped back while Charlie took a deep breath. With the hair in her hands, Charlie began to concentrate the energy around her before her now inverted eyes flashed open, and a pair of scarlet horns emerged from her head, and her hair fluttered freely in an invisible wind. Her hands then grabbed the invisible obstacle and with enough force, she managed to tear open a portal into the fabric of time and space with the doorway showing the luscious green grass and beautiful landscape. "Is… that?" Nathan said, awestruck. "A doorway to your home…." Charlie said breathlessly. "Let's go…."

The two took deep breaths and stepped inside….

The first thing Nathan saw was the bright light of the sun, to which he held his hand over his face. "Wow… so this is the human world…." Charlie said awestruck, before noticing Nathan and stepping on the grass, but warily doing it. "Are you ok?" "Oh, sorry I've been in hell for so long I'm not really used to normal grass or sunshine." Nathan explained warily. "I wonder what region we're in…?" "Region?" "Oh, my world's landmass is divided into multiple parts we call regions, there's Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and my home region, Kalos!" "Oooh! I'm learning a lot already!" Nathan then stepped through just as the portal closed before looking around but stopped, then looked at Charlie, if he freaked when he found out that he was a demon, then no doubt everyone else would have the same reaction as well. "Can you shapeshift into a human? I don't think people will be so kind with a literal demon walking around." Nathan requested. "Oh! Let me concentrate for a second!" Charlie replied before closing her eyes. With enough concentration, she managed to morph into a normal looking human, while still maintaining her blonde hair and red pupils, the rest of her had changed, her skin went from a bleached white and rosy cheeks to a pale white. Her normal attire changed into that of a red shirt with white stripes and red shorts with black running shoes. "How do I look?" "Like a normal human, now let's see the world!"

Before they went into the forest however, Charlie noticed that there was something in Nathan's pocket. "What's that?" "Oh just my holo-caster, I was just scrolling through old photos of my journey." Charlie became interested in his action, but while he was continuing to scroll, one photo caught both of them, while Nathan was disgusted, Charlie was intrigued. The photo in question was a selfie of Nathan with a bright smile, and next to him however was a man with bright red hair and beard that was shaped like fire, he was dressed in a black coat with a furry collar and a red scarf. "Ugh… I should probably delete this one…." Nathan groaned. "Who's that?" Charlie asked, confused. "Oh that's just a photo of someone I used to love…." Nathan sighed. "Mind telling me…?" Nathan sat down with the princess beside him.

"His name was Lysandre…." Nathan began while smiling. "And he was a revolutionary! One of the grandest minds in all of Kalos! I idolized him, and his technological achievements, the guy practically made Kalos one of the most advanced regions in my world. But as my journey continued and I battled Team Flare… he revealed his true colors…." "What's that?" Charlie asked fearing the worst. "Team Flare… he was their boss…." Charlie gasped upon hearing that. "I realized that I was idolizing a terrorist. And I wasn't gonna allow him to continue this, so me and my other friend Serena went to find Lysandre's base, battled him, defeated him and found out his plan: using a powerful device called, The Ultimate Weapon to destroy everything as a means of ridding the earth of all things he deemed ugly." "And when you got there, you had a fight with him, and he killed himself?" "Yeah, anyway by the time authorities finished in the crater, they never found his body. But hey, I've grown out of the past, so let's make way for the future!" Both he and Charlie then got up. "Starting by making you a trainer!"

As they went through the forest they suddenly encountered a Pokémon, it was another budew. "Oh! This is your chance at catching a Pokémon!" Nathan announced. "Ok, here's how it goes, first you pull out your Pokémon." Nathan sent out his Greninja. "Next, you weaken it enough but not enough to make it faint! I recommend using a strong but weak attack, like for example the move false swipe, or in my case, water shuriken!" The Greninja immediately threw multiple stars at the enemy, weakening it enough. "Ok, next step you need is to pull out a pokeball, whether it's a great ball, ultra ball or a classic ball, you just need to throw it and let the ball do its thing!" Nathan then pulled out a normal pokeball and tossed it at the budew, to which it automatically opened up and in a flash of light the budew was sucked into the ball before it closed and fell to the ground. It began to shake once, then twice, then three times before a clicking sound was heard. "And that's pretty much it!" Nathan said, picking up the ball and typing something on the ball before it pixelated somewhere else. "You can send them to a trainer box or add them to your team!"

Soon Nathan then handed some pokeballs, great balls and ultra balls to Charlie. "If there's a Pokémon you want to catch just remember what I told you, fair warning though, not all catches are gonna be 100%!" He explained before the two strolled through the forest before coming up to what looked like a town with a large mound of dirt in the center. "Whoa! It's geosenge town!" Nathan realized. "Which means…?" Charlie asked. "This is the Kalos region!" Nathan cheered. "I'm home!" Nathan then saw two people walking into town, one was a familiar trainer with blonde hair, and the other had dark blue hair and slight stubble, he wore a purple shirt underneath a white lab coat and black pants and shoes with a gold belt buckle. "Nathan was a treasured soul, one who was loved by all." The man weeped, holding a tissue in his hand and a picture of Nathan in Serena's hand. "But I know that in our hearts he will live on! Like the previous trainers that…" "PROFESSOR SYCAMORE!" The professor and the trainer stopped upon hearing that familiar voice, only to see someone running up to them and giving them a great big hug. "Nathan?!" The professor realized. "YOU'RE ALIVE!" The two immediately spun around with their reunited friend. "I can't believe it's you!" Serena cheered before getting mad and stomping on Nathan's foot. "Ow! What was that for!?" Nathan yelled, grabbing his foot and hopping in pain. "For flying into a vortex and making us think you were dead!" Serena yelled, before stomping on Nathan's other foot. "And that's leaving me in your shoes as champion, do I look like champion material to you?!" "Look I'm sorry that I messed up but I didn't want to risk you getting roped into whatever dimension I ended up in!" Nathan explained. "Wait, you went to an alternate dimension? Where!?" Professor Sycamore asked, intrigued. "Well let's talk somewhere more private…."

Nathan then brought the two to a nearby building, far from everyone else. "Ok so what dimension did you visit?" "Well it wasn't a dimension per say but I did go…" Nathan pointed to the ground. "You went underneath the ground?" "Think more fiery and full of brimstone." Professor Sycamore thought for a second before realizing what Nathan was talking about. "Oooh… wait, YOU WENT TO HELL?!" "Yup…." "Ooh! What's it like? Is it as gruesome as the books say it is?" "Something like that it's kinda like our society, minus the Pokémon and if everyone hated everything 24/7!" "Have you met the devil?" "No not yet, but I did befriend his daughter!"

Nathan then stepped aside to introduce his new friend. "This is Charlie! Don't tell anyone buut. She's the princess of hell!" "Hi I'm Charlie! You must be Serena and professor sycamore! Nathan's told me much about you!" Charlie said, shaking the other's hands. "You became friends with her?" "Yeah, don't worry though, she's as dangerous as a skitty!" "He's teaching me how to be a Pokémon trainer!" The professor and the other trainer were left speechless. "You… befriended the daughter of the lord of damnation, AND you're training her to be a trainer!?" "You know it!" Nathan said proudly. "I mean you did say that you would want to mentor someone!" "Yes, but this isn't what I thought it would be like!" "Why isn't Nathan a trainer in his world?" "Oh he didn't tell you!?" Professor Sycamore laughed. "He's no ordinary trainer!" "He's the owner of a legendary?" Charlie suggested. "Better than that! This kid here's the champion of the Kalos region!" Charlie immediately gasped. "You're a CHAMPION!?" She yelled. "How come you never told me or my friends that!?" "You never asked, and I didn't think it was so important, I mean you're royalty!"

Suddenly they heard a russell sound in the trees. The group hid near the building as the sound got closer. "What's that?" Nathan whispered. "Is it a Pokémon!?" Charlie said gleefully. "Not quite, look!" The sound revealed itself to be something that shocked both Nathan and Charlie: an exorcist angel! The two immediately ducked as to not be seen. "Who's that?" Professor Sycamore asked. "Would you believe me that that's an angel?" "An Angel?" "They looked a lot different than the books…." "That's what I said!" Charlie shushed them as the exorcist angel looked around before walking through the forest. "It's heading for the old Team Flare base." Nathan observed. "Let's follow it!" "Are you sure!?" "It could lead us to Team Flare!" Nathan then walked to the angel's location.

Soon they came across the base, where it was a familiar spot. "Team Flare's base! They must be looking for the parts for the ultimate weapon!" Nathan whispered before Charlie came rushing in. "Hey wait! We can't just run in without a strategy!" Nathan said, grabbing Charlie's hand. "Yeah but this might be our chance to stop Team Flare and the extermination!" Nathan signed, guess she kinda had a point, but maybe it would still be a risk however. "Fine, I guess it is our duty to stop them…." Nathan said reluctantly before turning to his other friends. "You guys stay here, if we shout or call you, you know what to do!" "Rescue you?" "Yup…." The two then went down into the old Team Flare base.

Inside, they found it populated by not just Team Flare grunts, but also Exorcist angels. "These guys teamed up with Team Flare?" Nathan questioned, whispering. "Aren't they supposed to be good guys?" "They murder my people without remorse, what did you think was going to happen?" Charlie replied before they hid behind a wall just as a pair of angels passed by. "Can you believe that that hooded asshole had us take away our weapons?" One of the angels groaned. "Hey at least we got these cool pets in these little ball things!" The other angel replied before walking away. Hearing this information the two freaked out, Team Flare gave them Pokémon? When did that happen!? "Ok… so the angels now have Pokémon, but that doesn't mean we're in too much danger!" Nathan whispered, trying to stay calm. "And hey, if we get caught, it could be a good chance to teach you how to battle!" Charlie smiled before the two snuck away.

As the two continued through the halls, carefully avoiding the angels and Team Flare grunts, they came at a fork in the path. "Ok you go this way and I'll go that way!" Charlie said before the two took their respective paths.

As Charlie went through the path, she passed by several holes before one of them made some noise that startled her. She turned in fear that something might come out to eat her, but to her surprise, it was rather a cute Pokémon, it had purplish blue skin and tail and thick black fur with several purple spots around its collar, and the fur managed to cover its eyes, blinding it. "Deino!" Charlie immediately gasped upon its cuteness. "Oooh! You're so adorable!" She grinned. "Deino Deino! The Pokémon replied. "Oh I have to catch it!" Charlie squealed before taking out her pokeball. "Alright, remember what Nathan told you…." She reminded herself. "Go Phantom Flare!" Sending out her Litwick, Charlie stood in a battle stance. "Use Nightshade!" She commanded as the Pokémon unleaded his dark wave that descended upon the opponent but it had little effect. "Ok, use acid!" The litwick sent out a blast of acid that hit the Deino, poisoning it in the process. "Alright! Now it's time to use the ball!" Charlie then pulled out an ultra ball and tossed it at the weakened Pokémon, to which it was sucked inside. The ball fell onto the floor and shook once, then twice, and three times, until a click. Charlie cheered as she successfully caught a Pokémon, before grabbing the ball and unleashing the Pokémon. "Hi, I'm Charlie, aren't you a cute little one!" She said to it but the Pokémon turned away from her. Charlie frowned before she tried petting it. "Hey, I'm sorry I had my litwick attack you… can you forgive me?" She apologized, trying to pet the Pokémon, it turned away for a second before looking back and went up to her. "Awe, don't worry I'll find a way to heal you up!" Charlie promised, unaware that something else was inside the hole….

At the same time, Nathan went through his path before seeing a group of angels that caused him to hide in one of the rooms, which inside was a break room with an angel that was simply sipping wine. "This is human wine? This is disgusting!" The angel complained before noticing Nathan. "What the!? You're not supposed to be here!" She growled, pulling out a pokeball, and causing Nathan to do the same.

Note: for the Exorcist Angel battle theme I recommend listening to Team Plasma's theme from black and white

The angel tossed her first Pokémon, a small bird-like Pokémon with purple feathers and white fur and a large red and white tipped feather above its purple mask-like outline. "Rufflet!" "Go Titanasur!" Nathan sent out his tyrantrum. "Rufflet use Hone Claws, then Ariel Ace!" The Rufflet then sharpened its claws to a deadly level, increasing its attack power, before striking Titanasur with a swift air slash. "Don't give up Titanasur, use stone edge!" "Dodge and use Rock Smash!" The Rufflet immediately flew past the stones before grabbing one of them and throwing it directly at Titanasur, causing it to break on impact and damage the rock/dragon type badly. "One more stone edge! And a really great one!" Titanasur then brought up more stones, this time directly hitting the Rufflet. "Nice one!" Titanasur then roared in victory before the angel sent out her next Pokémon, a small disk-like Pokémon with yellow eyes. "Brozor!" "What's that one?" Nathan said, pulling out his Pokédex.

Bronzor, the bronze Pokémon

A steel and psychic type

Bronzor are often found at ancient sites such as tombs, The patterns on their backs are said to be imbued with mysterious power.

"Steel and psychic huh? Good thing you know Earthquake!" Nathan said putting his dex away before his partner used the aforementioned move, but unfortunately it had no effect. "Levitate… you've got to be kidding me…." "Let's see how you like it, Bronzor! Earthquake!" The Bronzor telepathically moved the tectonic plates, causing an earthquake that damaged the opponent greatly. "This won't end well, return Titanasur!" Nathan then returned the Pokémon to its ball before sending out his next one. "Get 'em Night Tide!" Sending out his Greninja, it immediately realized what Bronzor's trainer was. "Greninja?!" "Don't worry, you'll be able to take them on, promise!" The Greninja shook his head in determination before turning to his opponent. "Bronzor, use Psyshock!" The Bronzor generated a wave of psychic energy around its opponent but it wasn't affected. "Wait what!?" "One of the perks of having a dark type!" Nathan commented. "Now take 'em down with night slash!" The Greninja then leaped up and generated black claws before slashing the Bronzor, damaging it enough to defeat it. "Nice one!" The Greninja proudly celebrated their victory.

"You're not getting away you little…" Before the angel could continue its sentence while running at Nathan, Night Tide immediately froze the angel with an ice beam. "Thanks night tide! Now let's move!" Nathan said, returning the Pokémon to his ball and snuck out.

Outside the door, Nathan saw that the other angels had disappeared, with the coast clear, he continued down the hall. As the trainer continued through the halls, he came across a batch of arrows that were laid out on the floor. "Not these again…." Nathan groaned, knowing EXACTLY where this was going.

One spinning arrow puzzle and several hours of throwing up later, Nathan wiped his mouth and went to the next hall, before encountering two angels. "Hey! Did you just vomit on our floor!?" One of the angels yelled. "You don't have a trash can, what else was I supposed to do?!" Nathan argued, but the angels growled before pulling out their pokeballs. Nathan brought out two balls of his own, the two angels unleashed their Pokémon, a Rufflet and a small balloon Pokémon, drifloon. Nathan then tossed out his Greninja and aegislash. "Drifloon, Hex!" "Rufflet, Rock smash!" The Rufflet immediately struck Night Tide, damaging him quite a bit, with the same thing happening to Shadowsaber. "Night Tide, Ice beam! Shadowsaber, shadow ball!" The two immediately struck the opponents, knocking them out. "That's it! Go croagunk!" "Get 'em ninjask!" The two angels sent out their next Pokémon, a dark blue bipedal toad-like Pokémon and a cicada-like Pokémon with gold mask-like features. "Ninjask, use X-scissor!" "Poison jab, croagunk!" The two Pokémon immediately struck their attack, but while the Greninja was harmed, the croagunk was having a hard time stabbing the Aegislash with its venom enhanced fists. "You call those attacks? Here are some attacks!" Nathan laughed. "Night Tide! Another Ice Beam! Shadowsaber! Use Flash cannon!" The Pokémon immediately struck their opponents, but the croagunk still held on. "You're not going down that easily! Croagunk, use Mud Bomb!" Generating a large ball of mud, the poison/fighting type flung it at the ghost/steel type and managed to damage it greatly. "Don't give up! Hit 'em with Sacred Sword!" The Pokémon immediately struck down the opponent and this time defeated it. "Thanks guys, you both were great!" The two Pokémon made sounds of agreement before returning to their pokeballs.

"Oh you are MONUMENTALLY F*(KED!" The angels yelled before getting knocked out by Charlie, who was standing there with a piece of metal in her hands. "Sorry, was I supposed to battle them?" Charlie apologized. "No need to apologize, let's move." Nathan said as they continued through the base. "Oh! I managed to catch two new Pokémon!" "Great, if only I could've seen it myself!" Nathan said proudly. "But let's talk about it later, right now we need to find some info on what the angels are doing here." "Uh, I think I have a clue…." Said Charlie, looking out the window. Nathan turned to see not only the angels, but Adam and a man in a black cloak; they appeared to be moving pieces of machinery into a heaven portal. Recognizing Adam, Charlie immediately rushed down there with Nathan following behind.

"You!" Charlie called out to Adam, getting the angel's attention. "Oh! Hey babe! Nice seeing you again, looks like you brought your human friend with you! Nice seeing you again!" Adam said nonchalantly. "So who's your new friend Adam!" Nathan questioned, pointing at the cloaked man. "Oh this guy? He's my new business partner!" Adam said before the cloaked man turned to the side and noticed Nathan. "You again…." "You, you're the guy who revived Team Flare!" Nathan reminded. "Congratulations, want a medal?" The mysterious Team Flare boss retaliated. "Who are you? What do you want?" "Well Nathan… it appears that fate has brought us back here not only twice, but three times…." Nathan was confused, what was he talking about? "Do I know you?" He questioned. "Think back a bit, four years ago you battled someone who threatened to destroy the world, someone who had uncovered the ultimate weapon and the legendary Pokémon that he used to power it… ring any bells…?"

Nathan was still puzzled before the pieces were put together and his face went cold. "No…." He took a step back in fear. "No you can't be… You can't!" "Oh Nathan, why so fearful…?" The cloaked man laughed, before pulling back his hood. "After all… you said it yourself that I'm…" upon revealing his face, Nathan's eyes widened and his jaw dropped. "Your idol…." The man's true face was revealed, his bright red hair had turned pale white, his skin was wrinkled, his cheeks were sunken and his eyes were sunken and foggy. "Lysandre…." Nathan gasped, recognizing his old foe. "But I thought you were…" "Gone…?" Lysandre finished. "Actually I suffered the worst of fates, nearly drained to the bone… by Yveltal's power." Lysandre looked at his pale, almost rotten hand. "It can wreak havoc on one's complexion, but I was able to escape. For four years I hid from the rest of civilization, until I was able to put the pieces of Team Flare back together." "But in your condition, you couldn't be able to lead them huh?" Nathan finished. "Correct child, but I figured that I would be able to restore myself using the remains of the ultimate weapon." Nathan remembered before he first entered hell, he and Serena were both tied to chairs and inside chambers. "You were gonna drain me of my life force weren't you!?" "Indeed, unfortunately your Greninja arrived at the wrong time!" Adam was startled by those words. "You tried to siphon their lives away?" He said surprised. "Jesus dude that's f*(ked up! And that's coming from someone who slaughters demons and likes it!" "Sacrifices must be made sadly…." Lysandre replied before turning to his enemies. "While I'd love to continue this fun little reunion, I have things to conduct. So Adam, please deal with them on my behalf, would you?" But I'd love to watch!" Adam then smiled wickedly before turning to his enemies. "With pleasure Sandy!" "Don't call me Sandy…."

"ANGELS!" Adam yelled as swarms of angels surrounded the ceiling in a circular motion. "Here's a number I've been saving for an occasion like this!" He announced, pulling out his guitar with his army cheering. "You mother f*(kers better start cheering!"

Note: for Adam's battle theme, I recommend listening to piers' battle theme from again sword and shield. (Don't worry I won't use sword and shield OSTs for the entire story.) Also this will parody the lyrics from the cover on man on the internet.

For his first two Pokémon, Adam sent out a large eagle like Pokémon and a metallic bird Pokémon. "Skarmory!" "Braviary!" While Charlie and Nathan unleashed their Greninja and Deino. "Pretty spikes don't shine so bright down here!" The Skarmory immediately spouted a bunch of spikes onto the ground. "Hone claws fade till only dull remains!" The braviary used its hone claws attack. "He's using lyrics to command his moves!" Nathan observed. "Maybe we can too! Hear that sound? The shout of dragon pulse!" "In the cold as the ice beam revolts!" The two Pokémon immediately used their moves, however the Skarmory was able to withstand the dragon pulse, but the braviary was down for the count. "To survive… you have to Autotomize…." The Skarmory then sharpened its body, making it more nimble. "When extermination day comes, I'll be your demise! Adam's on the rise!"

Adam took a break as he returned his braviary, while the angels shouted his name. "You're good at this, kids!" Adam commented. "Yeah I'm something of a fast learner!" Nathan replied. "Let's see if you're fast enough to get through the second verse!" Adam said threateningly before taking out another dusk ball. "Get 'em seviper!" The rockstar angel unleashed a large snake-like Pokémon with gold plates around its zigzag shaped body that ended in a large bladed tail. "Seviper!" "Ha! A Pokémon with a type that matches your personality!" Nathan laughed as Adam growled.

"I will rock! With Venoshock!" The seviper immediately unleashed a powerful force of venomous liquid from itself and onto the Greninja. "Strike your zeal… with wings of steel!" The Skarmory then ironized its wings and struck the Deino. "Contrary to what you think about your might, even day or night your rep can be slashed in an instant!" The Greninja immediately retaliated with Night Slash on the Skarmory. "We're just trying our best to get through this mess, and crunch time to make peace!" The Deino then struck the seviper with enhanced bite strength. "Cuz you're surfing on our turf!" The Greninja immediately unleashed a wave that covered the area. "But you're aiding with your cult's intense dark impulse!" The seviper unleashed a dark pulse attack on the opponents. "So what makes you think that?" "See I'm the one who started it all, but she had the gall to leave me for the guy who thought he was above me! But when they made a new gal to say our adues. Those traitors used her too, to put their plans through, but that won't stop me!"

"Pretty lights don't shine so bright down here!" "But don't worry about your little lives, when extermination comes everyone dies!" "Well put your plans to an end with the help of a water shuriken!" Night Tide then struck a couple of water shurikens onto the Seviper, finally defeating it. "You'll be irate, when your plans incinerate!" The Deino then shot a large fireball at the Skarmory defeating it as well. "To survive… you have to Autotomize… When extermination day comes, I'll be your demise! Adam's on the rise!"

Adam took another mic break as he returned his Pokémon while the angels cheered once more. "You two are really starting to get on my nerves here!" He growled. "Yeah we have a habit of that!" Nathan said as he and Charlie returned their Pokémon. "Well these next two are gonna eff you up!" Adam then sent out his last two Pokémon, a small doll-like Pokémon that resembled a purple sheet tied around a ball to look like a ghost and a small squid-like Pokémon. "Inkay!" "Shuppet!" "Ok I know the shuppet but not the other one…." Nathan said, pulling out his Pokédex.

Inkay, the revolving Pokémon

A dark and psychic type.

Being upside-down improves its blood flow and clears its mind, causing the power of its psychic moves to increase dramatically.

"Dark and psychic huh? That's gonna be complicated." Nathan said putting his dex away while Charlie pulled out her next Pokémon, her litwick, unfortunately the spikes from the Skarmory's attack earlier kicked in and damaged him. "Yeah that happens unfortunately, kinda unfair sometimes." Nathan sighed before pulling out his Yveltal, who was also injured by the spikes.

"For the brawl! Shadow ball!" The litwick then flung a shadowy ball onto the shuppet, damaging it greatly. "You won't say but cry foul play!" The Pokémon was about to attack but was stopped by the shuppet. "This world sucker punches all who haven't suffered a fall, it tells you that pride is your downfall. And human culture's toxic too!" The inkay then generated toxic energy that infected the litwick, poisoning it. "Trying to control you! Leave you by the wayside when you're out of it!" "But phantom forces are not at play!" Yveltal disappeared using phantom force. "We will win the day! And end all this dismay! As the fire spins our way!" The litwick then stuck the inkay with fire spin. "See I have a grand dream and I've come to tell, to stop your little scheme and save all of hell!" "So let's end this Adam!"

Yveltal appeared from the phantom force and finished off the shuppet. "Pretty lights don't shine so bright down here!" "All of hell will see the light of day!" "Bringing light to this unholy night!" "We'll end the pain and avenge all the fallen demons you unjustly slain!" "To survive… rely on your dark impulses…" Yveltal generated one more dark pulse, this time finishing off the inkay. "When extermination day comes, We'll be your demise! We're on the rise!"

With the battle over and both Charlie and Nathan the winners, Adam fell to his knees In defeat. "Did I just get beaten by a pair of losers!?" He yelled outraged. "That you did fly boy! That you did…." Nathan answered proudly. "No need to rage upon your failures, Adam." Lysandre said as the last piece was thrown in. "You may not have succeeded in beating him, but our mission is complete!" Lysandre then turned to his old enemy. "Save the date, child." He said sinisterly as Nathan glared at him. "Extermination day is coming, and when it comes, we won't rest until you and those savages are executed!" He then stepped back into the portal with Adam and the other angels flew inside just before it closed.

Left alone, Nathan quickly signed before tipping his hat and sitting down. "Nathan…?" Charlie asked, concerned. "After all this time… all this freaking time he's been here!" He yelled, throwing his hat across the floor. "Hey, you stopped him once, you can do it again!" Charlie said, comforting her friend before the arena started to shake. "This whole place is coming down!" Nathan yelled. "Let's get out of here!" The two immediately began running out the doors and throughout the halls.

The two dashed through the hallways as they began to collapse, breaking apart in the process. As they went to the stairs however, they collapsed just as the two were about to pass. "We're trapped!" Nathan cried out before the two turned, seeing the area behind them collapse on itself. The two thought it was the end before suddenly Yveltal emerged from his ball, grabbed the two and placed them on his back and burst through the broken staircase and out into the open sky. "So you DO know how to fly!" Nathan said smugly. "Hey, I said that you never taught me the move, Fly, I never said that I didn't know how to fly in the first place!" Yveltal argued. "Can we continue this conversation when we're on the ground!?" Charlie said, holding onto Yveltal's fur.

On the ground the two dismounted and were immediately hugged by the professor and Serena. "Nathan! You're alright!" Professor Sycamore cried out. "What happened down there!?" "Well…." Nathan replied, scratching the back of his head. "You might wanna sit down for this…."

A few hours later, Nathan and the others sat down with glasses of milk and water with them. "And that's the whole story…." Nathan said, exhausted from recapping the whole revelations they encountered, which left everyone except Charlie shocked. "So… Lysandre's alive and he's been hiding here this whole time…." Professor Sycamore said shocked. "Yup." "And he was gonna drain both me and you of our lifeforce so he could get back up on his feet." Serana added. "Correct…." Nathan then took another sip of milk. "Not to mention he aligned Team Flare with Adam's army." Charlie added. "But what was he doing with that equipment?" Serena questioned, that made Nathan realize something. "He's gonna restore himself!" "But with what? I highly doubt Adam would just let one of his soldiers sacrifice themselves!" Charlie questioned. "But not with the legendary Xerneas!" Nathan immediately hopped on the ground and pulled Charlie's arm. "We gotta stop him! C'mon let's go!" He pleaded. "Whoa calm down! We don't have any way to get to heaven, but even if he does get restored, we'll still be able to beat him! Whatever it takes!" Charlie replied, comforting her friend. "She's right kid, you whooped his a$$ once you can do it again!" Yveltal added. Those words made Nathan smile. "I guess you're right, we'll stop Adam, Lysandre and the extermination!" "We'll help too! Any way we can!" Professor sycamore added.

"But for now, I guess this is goodbye…." Charlie then opened the portal back to hell. Nathan then gave a grand hug to his friends. "Oh before you go!" Professor Sycamore then turned to Serana. "You dropped this after you left." She then handed him a familiar ring. "My mega ring!" Nathan then slipped it onto his wrist. "But wait, why are you guys wanting me to head back?" "You're the champion, and it's the champion's job to not only set an example, but to protect those who need protecting." Professor Sycamore replied proudly, placing his hand on Nathan's shoulder. "Whether it is human, Pokémon, or even demons!" Nathan then smiled, shedding a tear. "Thanks professor… I'll miss you." The three then hugged one more time. "See ya!" The trainer, the legendary Pokémon and the demon then entered the portal as it closed. "Good luck kid…." "Hope you're not dead!"

Once they were in hell, they went back to the hotel and rested on the couch. "Well some training day huh?" Charlie said, exhausted. "You have no idea… but not bad for your first battle!" Nathan replied, making Charlie smile. "Say, I saw that little Deino, but you never showed me your other Pokémon!" Charlie jumped up and pulled out a great ball. "I chose this one because it matches its colors!" She commented before tossing the ball and out came a large brutish Pokémon with a spiky red head and blue body, it had two large wing-like protrusions on its back and several red spikes around its body. "Druddigon!" "Where did you catch a druddigon!?" Nathan said, surprised. "I found it shortly after catching the Deino!" Charlie said, gittly. "I named him Dragasaur!" "Well, this is definitely a surprise! Two dragon types, I didn't even know that there were dragons down there!"

Soon they heard their friends coming back. "Sorry it took so long, but SOMEONE had to go and buy 50 bottles of alcohol!" Vaggie said, carrying bags in her hand as well as the rest of the others. "Hey if I don't get enough booze I go ballistic!" Husk argued. "What happened to you guys?" "Well we went to the human world, found out that the old boss of Team Flare is alive and is teaming up with Adam!" Nathan recapped. "Oh and I've been teaching Charlie how to use her Pokémon!" "Great, even more bad news…." Husk groaned. "Wait, you've been teaching Charlie?" Vaggie asked curiously. "Yeah!" Nathan replied. "Can you teach me? I'm not used to these things…." Vaggie requested. "Oh! Me too!" "I'm interested!" "Sure Pokémon lessons for everyone!"

Meanwhile up in heaven. The Team Flare boss had finished the machine with Xerneas stepping in where the grunts attached several cables to the antlers. "Are you sure this is safe?" She asked, concerned. "Relax, you won't feel much pain…." Dr Xeosect said in a vain attempt at reassurance. "That doesn't sound too good!" "Enough yapping! I could killover any second here!" Lysandre yelled, before stepping into the chair. "Activate this thing already!" "Yes sir…." Soon the Dr activated the machine, a flash of multiple lights and colors flashed across the base, which several angles and grunts covered their eyes. As this continued Xerneas could feel the limitless energy being transferred from her and into Lysandre. Once the process was finished, the legendary was weakened greatly but was still able to stand, Lysandre then took a deep breath. "Did it work?" He demanded, to which one of the grunts handed him a mirror, to which he snatched it out of the grunt's hand and inspected himself. He saw himself as he once was, his hair and eye color returned, his cheeks filled back up, and his skin was younger than ever. "It worked!" He laughed before standing up and taking off his cloak, showing his black leather coat and pants with red outlines, his fur collar and his red scarf. "I'M BAAA- ACK!" Just as he stood up a crack was heard and his body recoiled. "Slow down sir! You just got your energy back, you need to relax and let your body process your rejuvenation!" Dr Xeosect said, sitting his boss down on another chair. "Ugh… fine…." Lysandre grumbled.

"So that's what you looked like?" Adam commented. "Ha! You look like a punk rock star in his mid thirties!" Suddenly Adam's phone then rang, he looked at the caller ID and freaked. "Oh f*(k!" He yelled before turning away and answered the call. "Oh HEEEY Dialga! How's it going? Yeah I know… oh she heard about that? Yeah but I thought I was a high figure so… ok I know… yeah ok see ya later…." Adam then hung up. "I gotta go, the high seraphim found out that I went to earth without her permission!" He then went off to where Dialga requested him to go.

"Either way, once extermination day comes, we will finally achieve our goal!" Lysandre said as he turned to the image of Nathan on a monitor and one of earth. "Annihilating Nathan! And beautifying the world once and for all!"
