Chapter Three

Gringotts

May 3rd 1998

Despite feeling nauseous through the night Harry slept peacefully, however he was woke early feeling sick once more. Sliding out of bed, he made his way into the bathroom taking a shower and starting to get dressed, he'd just pulled on a pair of joggers as he felt the familiar watery feeling in his mouth making a beeline for the toilet kneeling in front of his just as he lost the battle with his stomach. Resting his head against his arm he let out small breaths as his queasy stomach rolled again.

Before he could call out for Severus he felt his hand rubbing his back gently, leaning over the toilet as he threw up again rubbing his stomach gently as he flushed the chain leaning into his husband as he looked into his worried eyes.

"I want to complete my final year at Hogwarts, it would be nice to have a normal year for once." Harry said softly as he continued to rub his nauseous stomach.

"Then you shall do so. We can tell the rest of the Professors today that way if you need to leave quickly they will understand." Severus said softly helping Harry to his feet as he brushed his teeth and slid on a t shirt.

"When will you be sending the letters out to students? I know that you may have someone in mind for the Head Boy badge but I was wondering if I could make a suggestion." Harry asked putting some toast in the toaster deciding to eat it dry.

"They usually go out between the end of August however this year its been decided that the school term will begin in June. I'm interested in your suggestion." Severus said laying his hand over the barely there baby bump.

"When we were hunting down the Horcruxes, I was determined to go on my own, Hermione and Ron were determined to come with me, given we conceived this little one it's a good thing that they did. You saw what happened with Ron, he got scared and left for a short while, however he returned just before you brought the sword of Gryffindor to us. You couldn't get a better protector than Ron." Harry said quietly.

"Ronald Weasley has definitely grown up in the last two years, I have to agree." Severus said softly. "I wish I could see the look on his face when the Hogwarts letters arrive."

"I know Draco is your godson and likely expects to get the title of Head Boy and yes his grades likely are good, however he spent the first six years of our schooling bullying every muggleborn he could." Harry said quietly.

"Draco will still be a Prefect." Severus reassured his husband as he came back into the living room with the dry toast, an apple, and saltine crackers. "What happened at Malfoy Manor?"

"We we're caught by snatchers I managed to lock eyes with Draco begging him with my eyes to help, I'd just found out that we were expecting. I'd been hit with a jinx that made my face swell slightly. He lied to Bellatrix said he couldn't be sure that it was me. Then Dobby came and rescued us." Harry said softly starting to eat his breakfast.

"Perhaps we could have two Head Boys and Head Girls this year. Draco turned against the dark in the end and Ron helped to keep you and our unborn baby safe. Even if they didn't know you are pregnant until yesterday. Hermione Granger and Daphne Greengrass for Head Girl & Head Boy goes to Draco and Ron." Severus suggested.

"That would be a good idea. Maybe give him a warning though, if he abuses his power then he won't be Head Boy anymore. I'd like to get to know Draco for who he is rather than the boy terrified of having to do something he didn't want to." Harry said softly continuing to eat as he saw Hedwig swoop in landing next to him.

Untying the scroll from Hedwig's leg he gave her some food from Eyelops before she flew off to the Owlry. "It's from Gringotts." Harry said nervously.

"What do they say?" Severus asked wrapping an arm around his shoulder.

"They understand why we broke in, in fact they are completely disgusted that the Horcrux was in one of their vaults." Harry said softly thankful that they understood. "Griphook also says that mum, dad and Sirius have portraits. Do you think we can go and retrieve them?" He asked quietly.

"We can go as soon as we have eaten breakfast." Severus said softly.

"Could you tell if anyone was hiding how they truly felt about us being together." Harry asked quietly.

"Remus was shocked, however he knows that you are an adult and can make your own judgements. He's just happy that you found someone who truly loves you." Severus said softly.

"What about Molly and Ginny I'm pretty sure Ginny expected to become Mrs Potter." Harry said grimacing at the thought.

"Molly is happy for you, Ginny is disappointed however she accepts that you are happy, if you are worried though you could talk to her without everyone else but us there." Severus reassured his husband. Looking up just as the paper arrived. Paying the owl he opened up The Daily Prophet smiling brightly.

"What is it?" Harry asked cutting the apple up.

"I've been given a full pardon by the Minister. He made a statement to The Daily Prophet and for once they printed the full truth.

"That's amazing news." Harry said quietly setting the plate to one side as he started to feel sick again.

"Don't force yourself to eat if you feel sick again." Severus said softly rubbing Harry's baby bump gently.

"I'm constantly feeling sick. How are we getting to Gringotts." Harry asked quietly leaning into his husband.

"I've acquired a pregnancy safe portkey. Should we get going?" Severus asked.

"Sooner we get there the quicker we can return. I'd like to explain our relationship to Remus before the entire school returns and starts their own rumours." Harry explained standing up as his stomach turned. "I don't think it would be wise for me to go down to our vaults I'm already feeling sick those carts go too fast."

"We shall ask for a pouch that automatically fills up with the amount of money that you you request." Severus said softly wrapping his arms around Harry as he activated the portkey which softly transported them straight into Gringotts. Rubbing his stomach Harry took small breaths out as he looked toward the front desk.

Slowly he moved forward staying close to his husband as he breathed a sigh of relief noticing that the Goblin in charge was Griphook. Leaning into Severus he cleared his throat getting the attention of the Goblin Harry had trusted since he first entered the magical world again. Smiling slightly he rubbed his nauseous stomach letting out a deep breath as he prepared to for the discovery of his parents and Sirius's portraits.

"Good morning Griphook I was wondering if you could help me with something." Harry said nervously.

"Good morning Mr Snape I would be honoured to help you in any way." Griphook said quietly.

"How did you know we were married?" Harry asked.

"Your husband filed the marriage certificate whilst you were hunting down the horcruxes." Griphook said softly.

"Aah yes of course. Um I was wondering if my mother and father had a portrait created, also my godfather." Harry asked.

"They did, I had a feeling you would want to see them once everything ended. They're in your vault." Griphook said softly. "Follow me."

"Can my husband get them, it wouldn't be wise for me to go on those carts right now." Harry said quietly rubbing his stomach as it rolled again,

"Of course he can. Congratulations on your new addition. We will be back before you know it." Griphook said quietly as he led Severus toward the carts. He felt nauseous just watching them head down the winding tunnels.

Twenty minutes later Severus and Griphook made a reappearance, Harry smiled brightly as he saw his husband carrying three portraits, not as big as Albus Dumbledore's however small enough that he could bring them with him wherever he was, Leaning against his husband once they'd returned to the front desk he listened to Severus ask about money pouches not certain he would be able to speak without throwing up.

Severus saw the colour of Harry's face change knowing it wouldn't be long until his husband needed to make a dash to the bathroom. Wrapping his arms around his waist he took the money pouches from Griphook before activating the pregnancy safe portkey, moments later they were once again in their quarters, however they weren't prepared for the small gathering of Weasleys Hermione Remus and Tonks in their rooms.

Letting out a small groan Harry rushed into the bathroom kneeling in front of the toilet once more just in time as he vomited, rubbing his stomach gently he leaned his head against his arm, taking small breaths out as he tried to settle it. Still feeling sick but positive he wasn't going to get sick again he flushed the chain and brushed his teeth before making his way back into their quarters curling up on the couch and leaning into Severus.

Looking between Remus, Hermione and the Weasleys he wondered just what they were after. If they were going to disapprove of his marriage then they were going to find themselves on the losing side. Sighing softly he looked at Remus hoping that his adopted godfather would not let him down.

"Alright out with it you guys are really bad at being subtle." Harry said quietly.

"Well I'm sure most of us are just wondering how the two of you got together. All we saw was animosity." Remus said softly watching as the Weasleys and Hermione nodded their heads.

"Well obviously with Severus's job as a spy within Voldemort's rank we had to hide our relationship, every detention he gave me allowed us to spend time together and get to know each other for us not just which side of the war we were on. I know that you didn't get along with him in school Moony but he's the other half of me in more ways than one." Harry said softly.

"He's your soulmate?" Remus asked,

"Mmhm, we aren't just married we are true soulmates. For the first time in my life I'm truly happy and I want my family to be happy for me, you don't have to like it but it won't change anything." Harry said firmly looking at Ron in particular.

"As long as your happy cub." Remus agreed.

Harry smiled softly as he looked at the Molly and Arthur Weasley. He knew that Ginny had had a crush on him since they were young however the silly crush had to stop. It wasn't just him now he was beginning a family. Sighing softly he picked up the portraits activating them as he smiled looking toward his parents and Sirius, seeing the shock on his father and Sirius's face and the pure happiness on his mother's.

"We found mum and dad's portraits alongside Padfoot's. I'm going to say this once and once only. I'm not under any spell, I'm not confounded I'm happily married to the man who completes me and we are having a baby. Whatever past thoughts about him ends now." Harry said firmly looking at his godfather in particular.

"Like Remus said pup, as long as you're happy I couldn't have picked anyone else for you, true soulmates are made for each other. It's why your mum looks like she's going to burst." Sirius chuckled.

"Dad?" Harry asked feeling unsure as he leaned into his husband still feeling sick, "I know more than you know about the past. You and mum got together despite you bullying her best friend it's time to let the past go."

"You've grown into such a wonderful young man Harry. We've been watching over you since the day you re entered the magical world. I suspected that Severus was a spy for the light months before Voldemort killed us." James said softly.

"I wish that you'd gotten to raise me." Harry said quietly looking between the portraits of his parents and Sirius resting his hand against his stomach as he rubbed it gently.

"We've always been with you. Silently guiding you," Lily said softly.

Turning to face the former headmaster Harry smiled slightly knowing that they needed to have a conversation at some point during the school term. There was so much that had happened and been revealed from Severus's memories. However, he also knew that now was not the time you have that particular conversation. Sighing softly he tried to focus on his family and friends in the room than the churning of his stomach.

He knew that Molly Weasley especially would have questions, though she'd probably been warned by Arthur not to bring anything up. Something he was thankful for as he didn't want to snap at the woman he considered a second mother. Looking toward the woman who had looked after him he sighed nodding to give her the permission to ask.

"I know that you're worried about me Mrs Weasley but I'm seventeen years old, I was sixteen when Severus and I finally acknowledged that we had feelings for each other, though I had started to have feelings for him during our fifth year with certain ministry officials poking their noses in it wasn't the right time to say anything," Harry revealed.

"I always thought that you and Ginny would get together, I admit it had crossed my mind a few times, however I see how much you and Severus love each other. Your more than married aren't you?"

"Yes we are soulbonded." Harry revealed looking at the portraits of his parents and Padfoot. "Paddy I know you had your differences at school but for me can you try and get along with him even if you are a portrait."

"I promise to get along with Severus. Your mother would not like it if I didn't and I can't deny you anything. I never have been able to." Sirius said softly. "You're looking a little green there Prongslet."

Harry nodded softly rubbing his nauseous stomach as he made a rush for the bathroom again kneeling over the porcelain god as morning sickness once again rolled through him. Breathing through his nose he rested his head against his arm as he once again felt Severus's hand against his back rubbing it gently, resting his head back against Severus's chest he closed his eyes as he waited for his stomach to settle.

Once he was certain he wouldn't get sick again he brushed his teeth again thoroughly still feeling queasy. Looking into the onyx eyes of his husband he smiled softly knowing that the entire Weasley family alongside his adopted uncle, parents and godfather had heard him throwing up, blushing red he ducked his head.

"No one will make fun of you Harry, Molly, your mother and Tonks know exactly how you're feeling." Severus reassured his husband his hand through the messy black hair.

Leaning against Severus they made their way back into their living quarters. Rubbing his still nauseated stomach he curled up on the couch leaning his head back against the couch. He knew that the mothers in the room understood what was going on. Letting out a deep breath he looked over at Ron, Hermione, Ginny and the twins knowing that it would take some getting used to.

"I don't understand why they call it morning sickness when it lasts all day." Harry said softly.

"It'll get easier I promise." Lily reassured her son.

"I think it's time that we made a move. You'll see each other for Harry's birthday soon enough." Molly said softly ushering the family and Hermione from the room, until only Tonks and Remus remained.
