BULLIED AGAIN.
Bobby was still lost in thought while sitting in the hallway at the fold-up table, thinking about the woman he'd saw in his dream. That was the second time he had dreamed about her. Who was she? And what did she want with him?
"You okay?" Came a female voice.
Bobby looked and saw Laura standing on the right side of the table. Her brown hair was in two regular pony-tails that went past her shoulders, she wore a wide dark green quarter-length sleeve dress that went down to the calf of her legs, black stockings that covered her whole legs, and her black ankle-length boots with laces.
"Oh. Hi, Laura." Bobby greeted. "Yeah, i'm fine, i guess."
"What are you doing sitting out here in the hallway?" Laura asked.
"I'm raising money for the school charity fund-raiser. Mr. Sandford put me in charge of it. To get back on his good side, as he so plainly put it." Bobby said.
"Even though you didn't do anything wrong, and Andrey and his goons should be the ones sitting out here in the hallway doing this instead of you." Laura said.
"Taking up a collection, Bring?" Came an all too familiar young male voice.
Bobby and Laura looked and saw Andrey and Joshua standing by the table on the left.
"Speaking of Andrey and his goons." Laura said. "You're two goons short."
"Finally gonna get some city clothes?" Andrey asked, ignoring Laura's presence.
"Haha." Joshua laughed before he and Andrey did a fist-bump.
"Hello, Andrey. Josh." Bobby greeted annoyingly.
"Come on, Bring, let's see what you got." Joshua said as walked over to the right side of the table. "After all, you have relatives in the city, according to Andrey." He said as he reached inside the box.
"It's not my money, it's the school's." Bobby said as he grabbed ahold of the box to keep Joshua from taking any money out of it.
"Yeah. Cause his city folks don't want anything to do with him. Right, Bring? You haven't seen or heard from them since you and your Dad moved here five years ago." Andrey said.
"Bring, that blows." Joshua said, patting Bobby on the head with his left hand.
"Your concern is touching." Bobby said sarcastically.
"So he's still mooching off the people of this one-horse town. The Bringer here doesn't have a dime to his name." Andrey said.
"Stop it." Laura said.
"What are you talking about? He's got a fist full of dollars." Joshua said.
"I'm not lying." Bobby said.
"You're right." Andrey said before placing his right hand on Bobby's left shoulder. "It's mine. You see...the school fund-raiser...it's suppose to help those in need. Like me."
"Yeah, right." Bobby said, rolling his eyes. Andrey and his parents were rich. According to him, they had more money than they knew what to do with. What could he possibly have been in need of?
"No. I'm serious. I forgot my lunch money at home." Andrey said.
Joshua snickered as he grinned.
"I'm starving. And...i have to pay for that field-trip i was suppose to go on. You know, to the rodio in Dallas? Come on. You gotta help me." Andrey said. Then he tightened his grip on Bobby's left shoulder. "Hand it over." He said seriously.
"Ow." Bobby said in pain. He then pushed Andrey's hand off of his shoulder. "I'm not giving you the money." He said as he stood up.
"You tell him, Bobby." Laura said.
"Can it, you." Joshua said.
"No?" Andrey asked before grabbed the fox full of money.
"Hey!" Bobby said.
"That's not your money!" Laura added.
Andrey tossed the box to Joshua.
"Give it back!" Bobby said before he and Laura ran after Joshua, who backed up down the hall, with Andrey following the blond-haired boy and the pony-tailed girl.
"What do you say, Bring, you want it?" Joshua asked. "Come and get it."
"Give it back!" Bobby said as Joshua tossed the box over him and Laura, with Andrey catching it.
"Cut it out, you two!" Laura said.
"What are you doing, Josh?" Andrey said as he held the box above his head, with Bobby and Laura turning to him reaching for it. "You know Bring's not a fighter."
"Oh, sorry." Joshua said as Andrey tossed the box back to him, with Bobby and Laura going back over to him. "How can i forget?" He said before tossing the box back to Andrey, who held it above his head as Bobby and Laura went back to him.
"What's the matter?" Andrey asked as he tossed the box back to Joshua, with Bobby and Laura going back to him. "Don't you know how to fight?"
"You guys are such jerks!" Laura said.
"Just give me the money." Bobby said before Joshua tossed the box back to Andrey.
"Oh, you'll get it back." Andrey said as Bobby and Laura turned to him, followed by Andrey tossing the box back to Joshua. "I'll give it to your Dad when i stop by the Saloon after school."
"Yeah. I think i'll stop by on the way home too. Maybe leave him a little extra." Joshua added.
An angry Laura then tackled Andrey to the floor where he started gasping for air. Laura knew she had knocked the wind out of him, but in that moment she didn't care. She sat up on top of Andrey and started throwing punch after punch to his face.
Bobby and Joshua appeared to be in shock.
"Hey, Laura, stop it!" Bobby said as Laura beat on Andrey's face.
"What are-what are you doing?! Get off him!" Joshua added.
Bobby could hear the apprehension when Joshua spoke. He didn't know what to do. The Bring boy hoped some rational thoughts would enter Laura's mind. He really didn't want her to get in trouble on account of him. Especially when this was only her second week here at this school.
Laura finally got up and Andrey just laid on the floor, with his face all battered and bloody. He then turned to Joshua, put her fists up, and motioned toward him. "You want some too?!" She asked. Joshua clearly didn't and took a couple of steps back. "Drop that box and get out of here or you're next!"
"O-okay, okay." Joshua said before dropping the box of money and then running off.
Just then, the bell rang, and Bobby went over to Laura. "Come on." He said as he grabbed Laura by the right hand, followed by the two of them running off, heading for their third class, which was History...leaving Andrey lying on the floor on his back.
