Steven Universe Rewrite
"You're right, Jasper. I have been holding back."
crash*
As his wall of spikes lands, he sees a familiar puff of clouds, he's poofed her, or so he thinks. He starts to float down, not suspecting a single thing.
"Really? Did I poof you? Wow! *chuckle* Maybe apart from when you corrupted in the beta kindergarten, I didn't think you, of all gems, could poof!"
He starts moving the rubble out of the way, revealing a part of Jasper's gem stuck behind a rock.
"There you are! Come he….."
As he lifts the rock, multiple orange shards fall to the ground.
"No…. No, this can't be possible….. I…. I…."
He scoops up the shards and rushes home, still in his pink form. He bursts through the entrance, the door flying off its hinges.
"Steven! Where were you?!"
Exclaims Pearl.
"Yeah, bud! You were gone for days!"
Yells Amethyst, the most worried out of the three, she doesn't show it often, but her emotions can get pretty serious, especially when it comes to Steven.
"Not now!"
Shrieks Steven, as he runs towards the bathroom.
"Why did he look so…. different? I mean, I'm used to him being pink at times, but he was taller and older looking."
Says Pearl, a bit less on edge about him missing, and more about his appearance.
"That was weird. What do you think, Garnet?"
Amethyst asks. Garnet had been silent this whole time, looking through possible futures.
"I don't know, but I've been looking through the possibilities, and I don't like a lot of them."
Says Garnet, eyes not visible behind her visor, but the others can tell she's worried.
Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Steven is pacing around, wondering how he's going to fix this. Suddenly, he feels faint, he sits on the floor to wait this out, then a familiar voice chimes out.
"Blue! Please!"
His mom, Pink Diamond.
(I'm in a memory again, aren't I? But why this one… and how this one?)
"Fine!"
Blue says, replying hesitantly.
"I'll get the essences, but only if you promise to use them sparingly this time!"
"OK!"
Pink exclaims.
"I don't like it when yellow shatters my soldiers. They do nothi…"
Pink cuts off, and Steven snaps back to reality.
"So the essences can heal…. I shouldn't say it out loud…."
"Say what out loud?"
Pearl whispers to the others.
Steven turns on the water and starts dripping the different essences into it. He realigns Jasper's shards and plunges them into the mixture, the sweat coming off his hand to add pink into the mixture of yellow, blue, and white. A faint glow starts coming from his hand, him letting go to let the orange gem reform.
"Jasper"
Steven says with a slightly worried expression on his face.
"You… you shattered me."
Jasper says, surprised by the power that he holds. She always thought he was just some weak earthling, until now.
"Jasper, I…. I'm sorry, I… I just wasn't thinking straight."
Jasper steps out of the tub, bowing down to Steven.
"I bow to your strength, my diamond"
Jasper says.
"I….. *sigh* Please go tell the gems I will be out in a minute. Just don't call me your Diamond or do the salute. They will get suspicious of me. Oh, and tell them that you… listen, I know you won't like it, but tell the gems I went to the beta kindergarten to relax, and I found that you had corrupted again, and the reason I look like this is because I had to fight Bluebird to save you, I just didn't have time to return to my normal form or whatever."
Jasper nods and walks towards the door.
"Oh, and Jasper?"
Steven says.
"Yes?"
Jasper questions.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome my… I mean, Steven."
Jasper replies, a slight smile on her face.
"Jasper!?"
All three of them yell, Jasper busting through the door.
"Where's Steven? What happened to him?"
Pearl asks frantically.
"Steven is fine."
Jasper replies.
"Then why did Steven look different? Why were you in the bathroom?"
Amethyst asks, slightly suspicious of what happened.
"Well, from what I remember, and what he told me, Steven ran for the beta kindergarten…"
Jasper pauses.
"Sorry, I was trying to remember."
"Anyways, he ran to the kindergarten to relax, and minutes before I had been training with Bluebird…"
"BLUEBIRD!?"
Shrieks Pearl.
"She's back?"
Questions Amethyst.
"Yes, now, away from your stupid little questions, I was training with her, and she was lucky and had hit me. I was and am still furious about that, so I ended up corrupting for the second time….."
"Steven saved me though."
Jasper says in a mocking voice.
"And apparently, he fought bluebird in that form, by the way, did any of you know he could do that?"
"I mean, we knew he could turn pink, but this is…. Concerning"
Amethyst says.
"Anyways, he needs a minute or so to rest, I think that took a lot out of his weird little fleshy form."
Says Jasper, glancing towards the door.
"Jasper?"
Garnet asks, visor down with a concerned look on her face.
"Yes?"
"Did Steven tell you the full extent of his side of the story?"
"Most of it, not all of it though."
Jasper replies reluctantly.
"Can you tell me most of it?"
"Yes."
As he watches Jasper burst out the door, a bunch of thoughts rush into his head.
(Why did I shatter her? Did it feel good? Did I get anything from it?)
(How did I shatter her? Am I really that powerful? Do I need to be contained?)
But the most dominant ones were the most worrying.
(Why didn't my form go back to normal? It should have!)
(Diamond? Jasper called me her Diamond, she was so accepting of the fact I shattered her too?)
(Shatter… SHATTER!?!? I shattered her!)
Steven didn't even have time to process that one as he was running home.
(My mom never even shattered…. It's almost like… like I'm more of a diamond than her…..)
(Wait, diamond…. No….. nono…. Nononono…. No, this can't be happening, I…. I shattered Jasper, she called me her diamond, and I had to tell her myself to not do the diamond salute…. I'm…. I'm a...)
(No, wait, I can't be… right?)
Steven runs towards the mirror, being horrified at his reflection.
(M-my pupils… they're…. Diamond shaped….)
Steven, seeing that there's most likely no way out of this, accepted it.
He started glowing a brighter shade of pink as his form slightly changed, gaining an extra foot, just about touching the ceiling with his head, and his hair reflecting pink diamonds more, then he returned to his normal pinkish glow.
As he sat on the side of the tub, he heard Jasper knocking and saying,
"Steven, the gems want you out here."
"One second!"
Steven replies worriedly.
(Alright, you can do this, just pretend you don't know how to go back to normal.)
The gems can see the pink light that surrounds him start to get closer to the door.
A large hand grabs the side of the doorframe, Steven ducking under the top of it to not hit his head.
"Ste-e-eeeee….."
Pearl was both confused, concerned, and astonished at the same time. He looked like pink.
"Steven….. what happened?"
Garnet asks.
"I-I'm sorry you guys, I shouldn't have run away like that, I just went to the beta kindergarten, and saw Bluebird, and Jasper, corrupting again…."
"We know, Jasper told us everything."
Amethyst says.
"Oh, ok."
Steven replies.
Pearl, still trying to pull herself together, asks
"S-so, Steven? Uhhhh, h-h-how long do you plan to…. uhhhh, well, stay like this?"
"I don't really know how to turn it off…."
Steven replies, a slightly embarrassed look on his face.
"I'm sure we'll figure it out, for now we need to finish the story…. My future vision needs a path to go off of, and without the full story-"
"I'd have to guess a lot of the futures are bad?"
Steven cuts her off.
"Yes."
Garnet replies.
"Hey, Steven? Can we talk to you in private?"
Pearl and Jasper ask.
"Uhh, sure? One second Garnet, I will be right back."
They enter stevens bedroom
"Steven…. I know you're lying."
Pearl says
"I d-I don't think I know what you're talking about…."
Steven replies nervously
"Steven, I'm a pearl, meaning I have knowledge of everything gem-related, and from looking at Jasper and you, something tells me you aren't telling the truth."
"Bluebird was at the beta kindergarten though! And I did… corrupt… a second… time…"
Says Jasper, trying to help out Steven.
"Jasper, you don't need to lie for him, your corruption scars would be more dominant, not reduced, and I know you refuse to go to the diamonds for assistance."
Pearl says, a more serious tone in her voice than normal.
"I'm going to go down and ask Amethyst and Garnet a few things, ok?"
"Ok"
Steven says
I need to think for a minute… How were her scars reduced? Unless she actually went to the diamonds for help*
"Hmm?"
Steven Questions
"Yes?"
Jasper replies
"I can hear Pearl, but she's all the way downstairs…"
Steven says.
"Well, if I recall correctly, your mother had the power to connect to others, and I'm pretty sure you do too."
Says Jasper.
"That only works when I'm asleep though."
"Well, from the looks of it, your powers are amplified right now, so maybe you can just hear thoughts?"
"Actually, that makes a lot more sense than I thought it would."
Shattering?*
Steven jumps at the sound of that word.
"What's wrong my diamond?"
Jasper asks.
"I think that they're onto me. We need to go, now."
"O-okay!"
They run for the warp pad.
As Steven closes the door to the greenhouse he sees Pearl running and shouting.
"STEVEN WAIT!!!"
"Where are we going, my diamond?"
Steven sighs.
"I really didn't want to have it come to this… but a couple of rejuvenators, Jasper… I can't go back now…."
As Steven and Jasper arrive on homeworld, Steven remembers something.
"Ahh shoot."
"What's wrong?"
Questions Jasper.
"The diamonds can't see me like this!"
"My diamond?"
"Yes, Jasper?"
"I have an idea."
Says Jasper, a bit of a nervous look on her face.
"Lay it on me."
"Well, you could shapeshift to look like a rose quartz, and you could find some intricate way to shapeshift those, voice-giving things?"
"That's actually not a bad idea, and since I have better control over my powers I have less of a possibility to go out of control."
"Wait right here."
Says Steven, hiding behind a nearby wall.
(Alright, let's try this.)
He starts shape-shifting into a rose quartz with long puffy hair, similar to Stegs, and the iconic quartz outfit.
He figures out how to shapeshift his vocal cords, and he changes to a voice almost like Jaspers, just a bit higher, and with a bit of an almost country accent.
He walks back out from behind the bush.
"It worked?"
Jasper questions.
"Yep!"
Steven says, his new voice jolting Jasper a bit.
"Alright Jasper, I will be a quartz that comes from the human zoo, and you and I have a bit of a friendship."
"Alright then."
Jasper replies, sinking deeply into her thoughts.
"What's on your mind?"
Steven Questions.
"Well after lapis, I realized I haven't had any real friendships with anyone, so…. maybe, and this is just a thought, we could fuse…. sometime? I mean, I'm realizing I wasn't the best with lapis, and putting aside the diamond stuff, I think I'm kind of warming up to you…."
Steven just stands there and stares, stars in his eyes.
"It's a dumb idea, never mind."
"Jasper! I never knew you felt that way, if you're ok with it, I'd be fine fusing with you sometime, I want to give everyone a second chance, no matter how many times they tried to kill me."
Jasper bursts out into laughter.
"Hahaha! I did try to do that a few times didn't I?"
Steven starts laughing too.
"I mean, it is pretty funny looking back at it! Jeez, you even got close a few times!"
"White takes the cake for the closest though!"
Jasper says, smiling almost from nonexistent ear to ear.
"Yep! Oh wow, I don't think I've felt that happy in a while, thanks Jasper."
"You're welcome my dia- I mean ste- uhhh jeez, there are too many names for me to remember! Rose quartz! Rose quartz, there…. Wait, you're fine being called that, right? I know you have a bit of a problem with your mom and such."
"Huh? Oh, I'm fine! I'm almost over that anyway!"
Steven says, still smiling from earlier.
"You ready?"
"Yep!"
Replies Jasper.
"Let's hope this works."
Steven whispers to Jasper as they walk in.
Yellow is standing in the hall talking with Blue about Steven and his effect on the empire.
"So yeah, I feel he has a pretty posi- oh! Jasper? What are you doing here?"
Yellow asks.
"Oh, me and Rose Quartz keep finding rejuvenators out on the old battlefields, and we were wondering where the rejuvenator room is so we can safely store them."
Jasper says.
"A rose quartz? Friends with you? Well, that's unexpected, anyway… we usually don't let people into the rejuvenator room without proof of having one to put away or proper usage… but I'm sure you won't use it for anything bad or steal any, so go right ahead, it's on the first door to the right down the g-15 hall."
"Thank you my diamond."
Jasper does the diamond salute towards yellow.
Steven and Jasper run down to the rejuvenator room and grab a couple.
"Uhhh… where are we supposed to put these?"
Jasper asks.
"You may have to shapeshift a couple of holes in your arms to hold them, shouldn't be too hard."
"I've never shapeshifted before though…"
"Oh it's super easy, just concentrate deeply on what you wanna do, then try it."
Jasper manages to make two perfectly sized holes in her arm for the rejuvenators.
"This feels weird…"
Jasper says, a confused look on her face.
"You'll get used to it."
He says as he puts the rejuvenators into the small slots.
"OK, now cover those things up."
Jasper manages to shapeshift in such a way that the rejuvenators aren't broken, but they aren't visible, then Steven and Jasper walk easily out the door and make their way back to the warp.
"Jasper? Once we get back to the greenhouse, let's wait there for a minute, because if I can shift into a quartz soldier, I might be able to figure out how to look like my normal self."
Steven says while they're warping through space.
"Ok then, my diamond."
They watch as Steven closes the door to the greenhouse and warps away.
As Pearl goes to open the door, Garnet stops her.
"Pearl, stop…"
"But we need to see what he's doing! The fact that he left right as I thought of him shattering Jasper makes me even more concerned!"
Amethyst gasps and Garnet lets out a small flinch.
"G-Garnet?"
Amethyst hesitantly asks.
Garnet sits down on the floor, not being able to support herself as she un-fuses.
"..."
Both ruby and Sapphire are silent, Ruby staring in horror at Sapphire, and Sapphire staring back, both crying.
"Wh-what… What did…"
Pearl says, being terrified that Garnet is unfused.
"H-he didn't… no… no… no no… but that's not possible! I… I didn't think he was in that much… pain… at least, not enough to do that…."
Amethyst says, finally catching on.
"What did he do, and wh- what's happening?"
Pearl asks, somehow not realizing.
"Pearl… he shattered Jasper…"
Ruby and Sapphire say in unison.
Pearl gasps in horror.
"But how?! And why?! He's never been that strong, or that out of control!"
"H- he finally snapped…."
Says Amethyst, weeping on the side of the greenhouse.
"All those years of dealing with our problems, and all those years of saving the world… He snapped under all the pressure."
Cries sapphire, with Ruby sitting there holding her tight.
"P- Pearl… y- your gem… i-it's cracking…"
Amethyst trembles as she looks at Pearls gem, the shiny white pearl gaining deep cracks down its center.
"What about it?"
She looks up at her gem.
"O-oh! W- well that's… unfortuna-"
She poofs, Amethyst catching her gem as it falls to the ground.
Ruby just now notices what has happened, as she was too busy comforting Sapphire before.
"Amethyst… wha-what happened?"
"She cracked…"
"Fountain… now… come on Sapphy, we need to go… quickly."
Garnet and Amethyst rushed to the fountain and healed Pearls' gem.
"We should leave her here, and leave her a note… with her here, in most of the seeable futures, whatever Steven wants to do, now he has less of a chance of succeeding…"
"He's with Jasper too, so we should include something regarding that on the note."
Says Amethyst.
A few minutes later, they finish the note and leave it under Pearls gem next to the fountain.
"Garnet… I don't think we'll make it back in time…"
"Then we fuse…"
"But Garnet, you know how sugilite is!"
"It's the only way, and besides, if we're both focused, she can't go out of control…"
"Ok…and if I'm right, we're both thinking of stopping and helping Steven… right?"
"Right."
Garnet replies.
Once they form sugilite, they start heading back to the house. (And for those of you who are confused, the warp in roses garden was broken by a boulder… that place is old, it was gonna happen sooner or later)
(Insert warp pad noise here)
"Okay… we need a well thought out plan, and I know it's not an exact future, but Garnet can see the future in like, a river and pond formation… I think… What do you think Jasper?"
"Well, judging from the fact that her future vision seems chance-based, like the highest chance of what's possible… maybe we switch from erratic to planned mid-fight, and then back to erratic if needed? Or maybe we start planned and go kinda erratic?"
"Genius! They'll never see that coming!"
Steven exclaims.
"Okay, now to just see if I can look… me… again… hmmm, Jasper? Do you know if the gem technology has a mirror feature? I haven't explored the capabilities of that thing much."
Jasper walks over to the diamond communication center and messes around with a few things.
"It's not exactly a mirror, but I think it'll do…"
Jasper says, standing back.
"Thanks, Jasper!"
(Okay… so let's see… what if… hmmm… can I hold it for that long? Well, I did hold that quartz form for around an hour… so I think I'll be ok…)
"I think that's good…"
"Well, the pink hue is still there, but other than that, you look pretty normal"
Says Jasper, watching Steven spin around checking to make sure everything looks good.
"I'm just wondering if I can hold the form for that long…"
"Well, with the whole amplified powers thing, I wouldn't be surprised if you could hold that the whole rest of the day"
"Yeah, probably… So what do we do now? Just head inside, and talk to the gems? That seems too weird for what I just did…"
"Maybe… maybe you head inside, I'll go to my den, and you come to get me around midnight? They probably won't be paying much attention and think you're sleeping or whatever it's called."
"That doesn't sound half bad!"
Jasper shrugs, trying to not smile because of approval.
"See you, Jasper!"
Jasper walks away without saying anything.
"Okay… *sigh* please let this work…"
He starts walking into the house, mentally preparing himself for what could come.
"Hello? Guys?"
Steven called out into the dark, empty house… no response.
"Guys?"
He called out again, but still no response.
"Hmm… well, I better get some food…"
BOOM*
"Ahh! Jasper?! Was that you?!"
Jasper came rushing down the stairs.
"MY DIAMOND, A MASSIVE PURPLE GEM IS APPROACHING OUR LOCATION RAPIDLY!!!"
BOOM*
"Wait… Jasper go back to the greenhouse, it's just sugilite, but before you go, hand me a rejuvenator, just in case."
"A-...As you wish my diamond…."
Jasper handed Steven a rejuvenator and headed back to the greenhouse.
As Steven hid the rejuvenator in his sleeve, he heard a slight whine.
(Okay, they've unfused, act normal Steven…)
As Steven pulled out some items in the refrigerator and started making a sandwich, the door opened.
"Okay Garnet, now we just gotta find…."
"Amethyst? Wha… oh…"
"Hey guys! Sorry I ran off there, I just… really, REALLY, needed to take a nice long break. The pink glow hasn't gone away yet, but I'm sure it will."
Steven said, continuing to make his sandwich.
"Steven, why are you here… and why did you run when pearl… thought of you shattering Jasper…"
Asked Garnet, weary and anxious of what he might do.
"What?! Why on earth would I shatter someone?"
"Then why did you warp away?"
Asked Amethyst.
"I…"
He lowered his voice to a whisper.
"Jasper doesn't want me to talk about this, but she kinda may have gotten cracked in the kindergarten, and I got her healed most of the way, but I don't know if diamond essences can heal a missing chunk of gem, so I brought her to the others to fix."
"Why are we whispering?"
Asked Amethyst.
"She's upstairs in the greenhouse, she won't leave me alone, but don't go up there, she was acting suspicious and may have something."
Amethyst and Garnet nodded.
"Hey, where's Pearl?"
Steven questioned.
"She…. She cracked at the thought of you shattering someone… so we healed her and bubbled her to make sure she had time to think before reforming…"
"Oh jeez… I am so sorry… I should have stayed… but Jaspers form was destabilizing quickly…"
"I… it's okay Steven… but I need you to tell me the truth… what actually happened…"
Said Garnet, concerned about the truth.
"I… okay… Me… and Jasper… were… well… training, because I wanted to control my powers better, so I wouldn't hurt anyone… and right as I was leaving for home, I heard her, screaming… It was weird hearing her so… terrified, but she had a chip taken from her gem, and when I finally got there, Bluebird was just… standing there, in front of her broken gem. It was horrifying seeing someone like Jasper be cracked like that. So I had to out my training to good use… I poofed her, bubbled her, but instead of sending her back here, I buried her in the kindergarten so she would never come back."
"It's all so clear now…the reason I saw a shattered Jasper, it was bluebird… and the reason you had Jasper in your hands, is you were desperate to fully heal her."
Said Garnet, finally "understanding" things.
"Yeah… can I get back to my sandwich? I'm starving…"
"Oh yeah, sorry Ste-man"
Said Amethyst, contemplating what he said.
After Steven finished his sandwich, he up to the green house, then used his super speed to run to her den undetected.
"How are you doin?"
"Fine."
"Still familiar with the plan?"
"Yes my diamond."
"Okay, let's go."
Jasper followed Steven to his bedroom door, pulled out a rejuvenator, and stood guard.
"Hey guys?"
"Yeah ste-man?"
"C'mere!"
Steven yelled, waiting by the front door.
Garnet and Amethyst came out of garnet's room, just in time to see Steven turning back to his diamond form.
"S-Steven?"
Garnet asked.
"Why yes, Garnet?"
Steven said as he pulled the rejuvenator out.
"Whatcha got there Steven?"
Amethyst asked, voice quivering.
"A fun little factory reset device! It'll help me a lot if I'm gonna go through with this."
Garnet pulled out her gauntlets and Amethyst grabbed her whip.
"What did Spinel say again? Oh yeah, why don't we play another game? Maybe one where I get to win?"
"Steven don't do this…"
Garnet said.
"Too late!"
He rushed at them, just barely missing his attack.
They rushed to the warp, to find it had broken only seconds before.
"It's a cool little trick I learned! It's easy shattering things when you get in the zone…"
Steven cackled.
Garnet slid under Steven, grabbing Amethysts whip and dragging her with.
As they ran up the stairs, they halted… Jasper was standing there with another rejuvenator.
"Hey Jasper! Dual wield time."
Jasper threw Steven another rejuvenator and pulled out another one for herself, then perfectly in sync, both Steven and Jasper activated their second rejuvenators.
"Looks like the end of the line for you!"
Steven and Jasper said.
"Not yet… Amethyst!"
Amethyst and Garnet shrunk down, and used Amethysts whip to slide under Jasper, through the door, and onto the beach.
"If we're going to beat them we need to fuse."
Garnet said.
"Right."
Once Amethyst and Garnet fused, Steven got an idea.
"Hey Jasper? Remember when we were on homeworld, what said to you?"
"Wait… You don't mean…"
"Yes, Jasper… Fuse with me."
Jasper produces a single tear before asking,
"My diamond? How shall we do this? I've never heard of a diamond and a Jasper fusing."
"Jasper, I fused with Amethyst, and Garnet, and Pearl, I think I can fuse with you. Now come on, we've got a fusion to catch."
Steven grabs Jaspers hand, yanks her towards him, and smashes her to the ground.
BANG*
"What was that?"
Said sugilite, turning towards the house.
whirrrrrr*
"Wait a minute…. Oh no…"
A few more bangs accompanied by a high pitched whirring sound grew louder and louder.
Suddenly a blinding peach colored light came from the house.
"It's wayyyy to cramped in here, let me fix that!"
Said a startlingly deep voice.
The house burst open revealing Peach Unakite, a massive fusion rivaling sugilite in size, they were glowing peach with green stripes, and they had 4 arms, 4 eyes, massive hair that resembled a wolf cut, 2 massive horns on the top of their head, a black shirt that had a 4 pointed star on the front of it, dark orange leggings, and in the middle of the shirt was Steven's gem, rotated like pink diamonds.
"Holy..."
"Muuuuch better... now... where was I... oh yeah! I'm Peach Unakite. You must be that unstable fusion between the deformed amethyst and that pathetic garnet... unlike you, I'm made up of two perfect beings, a diamond so powerful that the others were scared to give them their own colony, and a perfect Jasper that emerged without a single flaw."
"That Jasper is flawed now though, corrupted and recently shattered."
Sugilite said, forgetting something crucial.
"I think you forgot the other part of this fusion, a fusion enhances each part of it, and with a diamond, that power enhances tenfold! So, rethink what you just said while I pummel you to the ground."
"Shoot... Wait what?!"
Peach Unakite lunges towards Sugilite, Sugilite barley dodging the attack.
"For having such a faulty amethyst in there, you sure are nimble."
"She's not faulty!"
Sugilite screams before getting out her weapon.
"Oh! doing weapons now, are we?
Peach Unakite pulls out Steven's sheild and Jasper's helmet and combines them, resulting in a sheild with long, sharp spikes, all over it.
"Wouldnt want to get hit with this now would ya? especially not to those... pretty gems of yours?"
sugilite smashes their weapon into Peach Unakite, a massive cloud appearing after the impact.
"..."
HAHAHA*
Booms Unakites voice.
"You really didnt think you would poof me, did you?"
Says Unakite, holding the end of Sugilites weapon as if nothing happened.
"Be careful now, wouldnt want to hurt your... Precious steven... would you?"
Unakite says while gently touching stevens gem.
(Wait... they're right though... we can't hurt steven... we need to find a way to just get Jasper.)
Says Amethyst.
(I hate to say it... but we need to shatter Jasper.)
Says garnet, shivering at what she just said.

Sugilite just stares.
"Steven please... you dont have to do this..."
"Well of course he does! He's gone of the deep end! He shattered Jasper, he crashed his dads van, destroyed a hospital room, destroyed the beach, destroyed his house twice now, wants you gone so his plan can't be interrupted, and frankly, wants the diamonds gems in an hourglass!"
Sugilite stood there, shocked.
"He is done being the nice guy, he has been through hell and back for you, all for negligence and pain! So why would you only care bout him now?! When people are in danger?! Because you never cared about him, when he was in danger! needing you! wanting someone to make him feel like he isn't a failure!"

"SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP! YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID, AND NOW... OHHH NOW... IT IS WAY TOO LATE!"
Unakite lunged at Sugilite, slamming their sheild deep into their form.
"Im sorry, but you failed as parents, and as gem warriors. You cant protect this planet anymore."

Sugilite poofs, leaving Garnet and Amethysts gems on the ground Unakite unfuses, Steven hits their gems with the rejuvenators, and then bubbles them.
