Chapter 42: The Intention

Sasuke and Kurama stood face-to-face ready to have the conversation that was needed. Neither knew how to start. Each had their own reasons for what they wanted to say. Kurama wanted to do several things. He wanted to kill Sasuke for what he did to Naruto. It was because of Naruto that he was holding back. Sasuke wasn't going to admit it, but he was a little bit afraid of Kurama.

Sasuke sighed. This was going to go no where if one of them did speak up, so he did. "Naruto's going to use it again."

Kurama nodded. "He would, if he had to. As we saw with Halloween Town, the contract should vanish when we move onto a different world. As long as he doesn't use my power more than once in this world, things will go back to normal."

"You have to be pissed about that," Sasuke said, not really caring.

Kurama grinned. "Having this body is indeed fun. There are so many things I can do." He stepped towards Sasuke, who took a step back. His grin widened. "I could kill you. The kit would be better off. In fact, if I killed you now, only that bastard Madara would be left. With that man dead, the Uchiha Massacre would be complete. I like that, the extinction of the Uchihas."

Sasuke glared at Kurama. He knew the demon was stronger than him, but he'd be damned if he didn't put up a good fight. He was more than ready to attack the Kyuubi when Kurama started to laugh. "What's so funny?"

"Just that you think you have a chance against me," Kurama said, as he took another step forward."

"Naruto would hate you," Sasuke said, taking another step back.

"He'd get over it," Kurama said. "It may take a long time, but we'd manage." Another step forward.

"He needs me to get back," Sasuke said, another step back. THis was he last step as his back hit the fence around the house they were at. He cursed himself for not noticing where he'd been heading. A clawed hand slammed next to his head.

"He doesn't need you," Kurama said. "The kit is stronger than you. He can easily get home without you. If needs anyone's help, it's mine."

Because he was an Uchiha, Sasuke was able to gather up all of his courage and summon a Chadori Nagashi. It zapped Kurama enough to have him back off. He glared as Kurama as his eyes shifted to the Mangekyo Sharingan. He was ready to Amaterasu the demon.

Kurama sighed. "So much like Madara." He reached forward and grabbed Sasuke's chin. He leaned forward. "Go ahead and try it."

"Kurama?" Kurama turned slightly to see Naruto standing behing them in his orange nightware. Neither would admit it, but Sasuke and Kurama found Naruto adorable right now. He was rubbing at one of his eyes, clearly still tired. "Sasuke? What are you guys doing?"

"Nothing Kit," Kurama said as he released Sasuke's chin and stepped away from him. "What are you doing awake?"

"I felt something strange," Naruto said. He looked at Sasuke. "What's up with the Mangekyo?" He frowned. "Were you guys fighting?"

"No," Sasuke said, eyes returning back to normal. He walked around Kurama and nearly past Naruto when he suddenly felt it. He grabbed Naruto and tossed him into Kurama. Sasuke barely managed to defend himself as someone with a blood red cloak landed with two blue-bladded daggers coming at him. His armguards stopped the blades.

The being infront of him giggled. He shifted his eyes to the normal Sharingan. He was pushed back slightly and the attacker began to swing the knives widely. A crazy laugh came from the hodded enemy as Sasuke was pushed back. He could only defend himself with his armguards since the attacks were coming too fast. Suddenly, the attacks stopped, yet the laughter continued.

"Noise," a voice said as another person in a blood red cloak landed behind her. Her hood was down, showing off her pink hair and eyes. "That's enough." Noise turned, her hood dropping slightly revealing white hair. "The goal isn't to kill anyone. We only need him." She pointed at Naruto.

"But he's in the way," Noise said, motioning to Sasuke. "Can't I kill him?"

"Just let her," a male voice said. He stoppd behind the girl with pink hair. Kurama, Naruto, and Sasuke looked a bit surprised. None of them noticed the man's pesence. "I'm sorry to say that I'd like to get this over with as soon as possible." He turned and bowed towards Kurama, Naruto, and Sasuke. "Please allow us to kidnap you."

"Fang!" the pink haired girl yelled. "You don't have to be polite to them!"

"But Lottie," Fang said. "It is only right."

Lottie rolled his eyes. "Just get on with it." At this Noise, lunged at Sasuke. Sasuke blocked the daggers, hitting them away from Noise. A hand-to-hand combact started up. Lottie and Fang were surprised to see that Sasuke not only held his own, but it was clear that Sasuke was better than Noise. The girl began to attack more wildly, but with his Sharigan, Sasuke saw everything. Soon, Noise was out of breath. Even her hightened abilities weren't enough to take down Sasuke.

Sasuke, tired of holding back, let his eyes shift to the Mangekyo Sharigan. Suddenly, Lottie grabbed Noise and with Fang, they jumped onto the fence, barely managing to balance themselves. Sasuke couldn't help but smirk at their fear. Just as he was about to use Amaterasu, Naruto grabbed his arm.

"Don't use Amaterasu," he said. "We can't have you burning down the house." Sasuke nodded, letting his Mangekyo fade once more.

"I see," Lottie said. "We won't be able to take him with his guard dog here. We'll have to try again some other time." With that, the three of them vanished.

"Well that was interesting," Break said from a window. Three pairs of eyes turned to him. Behind Break stood Gil, Oz, and Alice. It was clear that Sharon was still asleep. "I didn't think the Baskervilles would come here. Guess they sensed the new and powerful contract being formed. It was like a beacon afterall."

"Baskervilles?" Naruto asked.

"The enemy of Pandora," Break said. "Our organization."

"What do they want?" Naruto asked. "What is their intention?"

Break wanted to laugh at Naruto's word choice, but he didn't. He did however smile. "They want to ressurect Glen Baskerville and to put the world into chaos."

'Kind of like Madara,' Naruto thought.

"And yours?" Sasuke asked. "What is your intention?"

Again, Break had to stop him self from laughing. "Pandora's goal is to obtain the Intention of the Abyss."

"The Intention of the Abyss?" Naruto asked.

Before Break could answer, Sharon walked up behind him. Oz, Alice, and Gil had moved out of the way. "You guys should be sleeping." She looked at Break. "Right?"

"Ah, yes," Break said bowing his head. "Right away!" He ran off. When Sharon turned her eyes to Alice, Oz, and Gil, their faces lit up slightly with fear as they also ran from the room.

Sharon turned to Kurama, Naruto, and Sasuke. "Come back inside and sleep." Without another word, Sharon returned to her room.

"A bit motherly, isn't she?" Kurama said. Sasuke and Naruto said nothing as they follwed the red-head. They arrived in their shared bedroom only to stare at the two beds. Naruto yawned before getting into a bed. He was sound asleep just a few seconds later, tired from the day's events. Kurama and Sasuke, however stood still. Neither knew which bed to get into. They did know that one of them would have to share with Naruto while the other would sleep alone. There was no way after all they's share a bed. "I'll sleep next to the Kit and you can have the other bed."

Normally, Sasuke would agree since he liked his space. But in this situation, he was hesitant. Part of him wanted the lone bed, but another part wanted to share the bed with Naruto. This part also didn't want Kurama to share that bed. Shivering slightly in the cold, Sasuke came to one decision. "You're bigger than I am so you can have the other bed." He began walking towards Naruto when he felt a hand on his arm before being pulled away from that bed.

A grin was on Kurama's face. "I am indead bigger than you." His eyes went down Sasuke's body and stopped at a certain spot. Then he returned his gaze to Sasuke's black eyes. "But since you sleep with the Kit almost every night, I believe it is my turn."

Sasuke couldn't help the blush that was caused by Kurama's words. He however could have done without the last part. "No."

"No?" Kurama raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean no?"

"I mean no," Sasuke said with a glare. He freed his arm from Kurama's grip. "Take the other bed." Once again he headed towards Naruto's bed but was stopped by Kurama. The red-head grabbed Sasuke and tossed him onto the other bed, pinning him there. Sasuke glared at the fox, eyes red from anger.

"I don't like you," Kurama said. "You've hurt the Kit far too many times." One of his hands went to Sasuke's neck. "And with your plan to destroy Konoha, you're doing it again." He squeeze. "And I can't have that." Sasuke began to struggle, trying everything in his power to get Kurama off of him. "Don't even think about it." Sasuke's eyes had flickered to the Mangekyo, but returned to normal as he saw Kurama with his clawed index and pinky fingers nearing his eyes. He knew what the demon was thinking about doing. It should have been worth losing his eyes if he was able to keep living, but something told him that Kurama wasn't completely serious about killing him. So, he did the one thing he never thought he'd do. He stopped fighting. Kurama's finger unwrapped themselves from around Sasuke's neck as he stepped back. At first, he thought he had killed the Uchiha, but on a closer inspection, Sasuke was still breathing. With the Uchiha now unconscious, Kurama turned to Naruto. He sighed before turning back to Sasuke. He carefully stripped the Uchiha down to his boxers. A evil thought came to him as he pulled the boxers down and off of him. He then walked over to Naruto and did the same, careful not to wake him. He then went back to Sasuke, lifted him up and placed him in bed with Naruto. Making sure the two were tangled together, he grinned at his handy work. Boy were the two in for a surprise in the morning. The last thing Kurama did before going to bed was lock the door of the room, laughing evilly under his breath.

"GAAAAAAAAH!" a scream tore through the house waking everyone up. Kurama couldn't help but laugh quietly.

"Why the hell are you naked?!" Naruto asked/yelled.

"Why are you?" Sasuke asked, grabbing a blanket as he stood up. Naruto had literally kicked him out of the bed.

Naruto looked down and blushed before "epp"ing and grabbing the other blanket. He cocooned himself in the blanket. His eyes looked around the room, falling on Kurama. He could tell that the demon wasn't sleeping. In fact, Naruto coud hear a soft laugh. He glared at the red-head. "Kurama!"

Kurama sighed, knowing that he had been caught. He sat up, stealling a few glances at both boys before his eyes locked on Naruto. He saw the blush and smirked. "Yes?"

"Don't act innocent!" Naruto said. "I know you have something to do with this."

"And so what if I do?" Kurama asked. "So what if I stripped you both and put you in bed together? What are you gonna do about it?"

"Bastard!" Naruto yelled, breaking out of his cocoon and standing up. His blanket fell back on the bed. Kurama and Sasuke couldn't help but look at the blond as he threw a fit. Kurama stole a glance at Sasuke, who struggled to keep on his Uchiha mask, but he couldn't help but let some of his feelings show on his face. Luckily for him, Naruto didn't notice. The blond was too busy cursing at Kurama to even look at Sasuke.

"Kit," Kurama said, his voice stopping Naruto. "As much as we enjoy seeing you naked, I believe it is time to get dressed. Also, I'm hungry." Naruto blushed before grabbing his bag and quickly putting on some clothes. Sasuke glared at Kurama as he too got dressed. Kurama didn't have any other clothes so he had to borrow some of Sasuke's clothes, though they were still a bit small on him. Once the three were dressed, they headed to the kitchen where the others already sat. They questioned them and after two faces turned red as the red-head explained, pancakes were placed in front of them. The group ate as Oz and Naruto filled the room with talk of their adventures.

Days went by until Kurama felt it. He stared down at his body as it began to turn into red chakra. It seemed it was time to move onto the next world. He was going to lose this body he got, but it was ok, he was ready. He met up with the others who were having a picnic. Oz and Alice were having their usual fight. Naruto looked up and saw the red chakra. Then, he looked down at the green light coming from his bracelet. It was kind of sad that they would have to leave. If they knew the danger that laid ahead, the bracelets never would have turned green.

So, since a lot of you are probably wondering, the separation is counted as 9 times since Kurama has nine tails. The tenth time was when Naruto unknowingly used the Kyuubi Chakra to heal himself right after the separation.
