And, we are back with more craziness. First, I'd like to say thank you to all my readers! I have the list of worlds that will appear in this story all set. I know some of you will be disappointed, but I did my best! As for this chapter, I chose the Anime over the Manga, but I would recommend reading the manga since overall, it is better than the anime. Enjoy this next chapter!

Warning: several scene changes!

I do not own these series, nor do I make any money off of this.

Chapter 43: Right or Wrong

'Bandits,' Tatsumi thought as he and Leone faced a group of more than ten men. They seemed to be uncoordinated. But they weren't weak, some put up a fight. Leone was faster than most of them, so she had the upper hand. Tatsumi was suddenly faced with a swordsman. The man was a lot bigger than Tatsumi and was just as good at using a sword. Because the man had more strength behind his swings, Tatsumi was beginning to have a hard time. Leone was too busy taking down her share of men to help Tatsumi. A knife came flying at Tatsumi's leg. He fell to the ground, lifting his sword enough to stop the swordsman from cutting off his head. 'Dammit.' It looked like they were going to lose. The surviving bandits had the advantage for Tatsumi and Leone were only two against six. Just as Tatsumi was ready to die while at least taking out one more bandit, a kunai slammed into the arm of the swordsman, causing him to drop the sword. Tatsumi, the swordsman, and two bandits turned to see a blond boy with another kunai in his hand. Another boy with raven-black hair stood behind him. He seemed to not care about what was happening in front of him.

Seeing the new threat, the swordsman moved to attack the blond. However, he didn't get far. The raven had stepped forward, blocking the sword with his own. Tatsumi knew right away that this stranger was going to win. True to his belief, the swordsman was knocked to the ground, sword ready to stab through his neck. The blond put a hand on the raven's shoulder. "There's no need to kill him."

But the raven didn't seem to agree. He motioned to the bandits Tatsumi and Leone had killed. "They did." It was childish, but it made his point. The raven didn't waste another second to kill the swordsman. The remaining bandits saw the death of the swordsman and began to flee. But Tatsumi couldn't let them live. After finishing them off, Tatsumi turned to see Leone take down the last of her opponents. Now came the problem.

Leone and Tatsumi faced the two strangers. It was Leone who moved first. "Hey there!" She smiled. "Thanks for the help. But I have to ask. Why did you help us?"

The two looked at each other. "It wasn't for you," the raven said. He walked over to one of the bandits that Leone took down. He pulled a scroll out of the man's pack. It had luckily survived the attack. "We just came to take back what they stole from us." He tossed the scroll ot the blond who gave it a look over.

"It's alright," he said. "Everything inside should be fine."

"Hn," the raven said. "Just don't let it happen again."

"How was I suppose to know they were bandits?" the blond yelled.

"Dobe," the raven said. "Just because someone is nice, doesn't mean they are. He clearly wasn't going to show you to an inn. He just wanted your money."

The blond crossed his arms with a frown on his face. "Teme."

"So you just wanted that scroll back?" Tatsumi asked. The two strangers nodded. "And they stole it from you when you were looking for an inn? Then you two aren't from around here?"

"You could say that," the blond said, fingers scratching at the back of his neck.

Tatsumi and Leone looked at each other. "Should we?" Tatsumi asked.

"I don't see why not," Leone. "They could be helpful!"

Tatsumi nodded. "If you guys need a place to stay, we can help you."

"And trust you?" the raven asked. "No thanks." He began to walk away.

The blond stopped him. "We should give them a chance. I mean, we haven't had good luck in finding an inn." The raven sighed causing the blond to smile. "So, where is this place?"

Tatsumi and Leone had lead them back to their hideout. After explaining things to Najenda, the two strangers were given a room. When told they could have separate rooms, it was surprising the raven that said one room was fine. The blond agreed.

"Oh!" Tatsumi stopped before leaving the room. "I didn't even introduce myself. "I'm Tatsumi. The blond you met earlier is Leone and Najenda is our leader of sorts."

"I'm Naruto and this is Sasuke," the blond said.

Tatsumi nodded. "Once your done getting situated, come down stairs for lunch!" He left, closing the door behind him.

"Are you sure about this?" Sasuke asked. "We haven't been having good luck lately."

"Who knows," Naruto said. "May be our luck has turned around."

Sasuke shook his head. "One day your knack for trusting people is going to get you killed."

Lunch with a bunch of strangers put Sasuke on edge. All he saw was potential enemies. Naruto on the other hand seemed to fit in with the group. It was a weird power to have, Naruto always befriended everyone he met. Some took longer than others, but in the end, they too would fall to the power of Naruto's warmth.

After lunch, Naruto walked off with Tatsumi, leaving Sasuke behind in their room. A girl with pink hair knocked on the door, and Sasuke didn't both to answer it. The girl walked into the room, anger on her face.

"You could at least tell me I could come in," she said.

"You couldn't," Sasuke said. "Leave."

"You know," she put her hands on her hips. "You should be grateful that we allowed you to stay. Tatsumi's too nice to turn you away." Sasuke just glared at her. "Fine! Be that way!" She turned around. "I was just going to tell you that Akame offered to look at your sword. She stormed out.

Sasuke sighed. He unsheathed his sword. Sure enough, there was a crack in his sword. He briefly wondered where it came from. His mind went back to when he last used it. It had been against the swordsman. Nothing should have cracked it then. He thought back further. He had it against Break's neck, but he hadn't used it then so the was no way it could have cracked. Then he remembered. He had used it during the fight against some Yokai back when Naruto fought Goku. Sasuke came to the conclusion that that's when it happened. Naruto must have noticed the crack and said something. A smiled graced Sasuke's lips. The Dobe always did pay a lot of attention to Sasuke.

Getting up, Sasuke made his way downstairs and outside to find the pink haired girl and a girl with black hair. Sasuke could only guess that she was Akame. She sat with a sword out, sharpening it. The two looked up at Sasuke's nearing presence.

"Come to get it looked at after all?" The girl with pink hair asked. She was giving off an aura of superiority. Sasuke just ignored her and sat across from Akame, his sword now on his lap. "You're an asshole, you know that?"

"Hn," Sasuke said. The girl glared before stomping off. Sasuke rolled his eyes. He found the girl extremely annoying. He looked down at Akame's sword. It gave off a dark vibe. He reached out a hand to touch it but his wrist was grabbed by Akame.

"One cut and you're dead," she said. "It's an Imperial Arms."

'Imperial Arms?' Sasuke thought as Akame continued her work. 'Must be some type of special weapon.' "Poison?"

"Sort of," Akame said. "It is a cursed sword. It kills with just the smallest of cuts. That's why I have to be careful when taking care of it." Her eyes moved to Sasuke's sword. "Your needs to be fixed." Sasuke nodded before handing over his sword. Akame unsheathed it. "A strong weapon, not an imperial arm, but still a good one. It will be a quick fix." She stood up. "I'll need a disguise." She went back into the hideout. Sasuke shook his head as he too stood up. He waited a few minutes before Akame came out wearing a wig and some of Leone's clothes.

Staying silent, Sasuke followed Akame. She led him to a blacksmith. The blacksmith agreed with Akame. The two went to a small shop and had some tea. Akame also had some dumplings. They sat in a comfortable silence. It wasn't long before the two went and picked up Sasuke's sword. He tested it out and it felt perfect.

They starting heading back towards the hideout. A scream caused them to stop. They turned to see a woman on the ground with a man standing over her. The man was kicking her. Sasuke and Akame didn't move.

"Hey!" a voice yelled. Sasuke smirked. He knew that voice. Naruto stepped up to the man, stopping him. "What are you doing?"

"Stay out of this brat." the man said.

Naruto glared. "I won't! It isn't right just to stand by and do nothing!"

"Brat!" the man turned and swung at Naruto. The blond caught his fist and pushed the man backwards. Naruto then kicked the man's feet out causing the man to land on his butt. Naruto turned around to help the woman up, only to discover that she was gone. The man stood back up, pissed. He charged at Naruto. Naruto dodged, flipping over the man. He grabbed the shoulders of the man and pushed him forward. Before the fight could continue, Leone grabbed Naruto's hand, pulling him away. The two ran, careful to make sure no one followed them. Sasuke and Akame made their way back, arriving shortly after them. Leone and Akame explained everything to Sasuke and Naruto. Both agreed that the prime minister needed to be stopped.

A few days later, the Night Raid members along with Naruto and Sasuke sat at their dinning room table. Naruto and Akame had huge plates of food in front of them. The others could only watch in amazement as the two devoured their meals. But there was more than just that on their minds. The group would be split up in teams of two and infiltrate the palace.

"What would you two like to do?" Najenda asked once everyone was does eating. She was looking as Sasuke and Naruto. The blond looked at his companion and Sasuke sighed. He knew what Naruto wanted to do, and he wasn't going to stop him.

Naruto made sure he had all of his things together. His bracelet was telling him that they'd be leaving this world soon. He wanted to make sure that nothing got left behind. Sasuke was doing the same thing.

Sasuke broke the silence. "You want to help them."

"Well, they did help us out for the last few days," Naruto said.

"You want to stay longer," Sasuke said.

Naruto stopped what he was doing. "I only want to do what is right."

"And what if what they think is right isn't?" Sasuke asked.

Naruto froze again. He had asked himself that several times while being in this world. But he didn't have an answer. And if the raven was honest, neither did he. "I don't know. But I still believe that they aren't wrong."

Sasuke nodded. "Just know one thing, if it ever comes down to you or them, I'd always chose you." He turned back to his packing.

Naruto blushed. What Sasuke had just said sounded like a love confession. He shook his head to refocus. They had a battle ahead.

They sat down on what looked like the broken fingers of a huge statue. Their search had come up empty. Naruto looked up as he heard the sound of two people coming towards them. At first, he was ready to attack them, but when he saw who it was, he smiled. Mine and Tatsumi also smiled. With Naruto and Sasuke here, they stood a better chance of fighting.

Seryu had been looking for members of Night Raid all night. She spotted the group sitting down and talking. She had no idea who the blond and raven boys were but eyes fell on Mine and she glared. Then she saw Tatsumi. Anger coursed through her veins as she believed that he was tainted by evil. Calling upon Coro, she got ready to attack.

Sasuke, Naruto, Tatsumi, and Mine decided that it would be better to separate and meet up later. Just as Tatsumi and Mine got ready to leave, Mine and Naruto spelt it, gunpowder. Sasuke and Naruto got separated from Mine and Tatsumi. Seryu now had to make a choice. Go after Naruto and Sasuke or after Mine and Tatsumi. She chose the latter.

Tatsumi and Mine managed to get a great distance before Shizuka appeared before them. Tatsumi instantly began to attack Shizuka. Mine stood back, ready to join the fight, but Tatsumi and Shizuka moved away. Mine decided to take on Seryu. It was then that Sasuke and Naruto appeared behind here. After much fighting, Sasuke ran off after Tatsumi. Naruto was going to stay with Mine.

"I want you to promise me something," Mine said. "Don't interfere." Naruto reluctantly agreed. He did however promise that he wouldn't watch her die. Mine only smiled at this and said that she wouldn't.

Sasuke stood back, watching Tatsumi and Shizuka fight. He could tell that Shizuka had more experience than Tatsumi, but something told him that he'd be fine. Sasuke looked up as he saw the sky light up with Mine's power. He was several hundred feet away but he could tell that something bad was going to happen soon. Although he didn't really care about what was going to happen to Mine, he did care about Naruto. His body and mind moved as one.

The were a few times that Naruto wanted to step in, but he didn't. Then he saw it. Mine was down. Naruto's eyes widened and he began to move. A hand suddenly appeared, covering Naruto's mouth as an arm wrapped around his stomach, pulling him backwards. "Don't," Sasuke said. "We can't interfere."

Naruto brushed off the hand and glared at Sasuke. "Why not? She's going to die!"

"It is their battle, not ours," Sasuke said. "It isn't our place to join the fight."

"How do you know?" Naruto asked, stepping away from Sasuke. "How do you know that we haven't been sent here to save them? Did you ever think that we've been sent to the other worlds for a reason?"

Sasuke sighed. "This isn't our world."

"I don't care!" Naruto yelled. His voice however, could be heard by anyone but Sasuke, for the battle behind him was getting more intense. "If I have the power to save them, then I should use it." He turned and ran towards the fight. He stopped when he saw Seryu fall to the ground. It looked like Mine had won. 'May be Sasuke was right. May be I don't have to...' Then he saw Mine running away. Confusion set in before he felt it. The explosion would have killed him if Sasuke hadn't tackled him to the ground, Susano protecting them. The ground shook beneath them as Sasuke used almost all of his Chakra to power Susano. Naruto then realized that his actions were hurting Sasuke. Reaching up, he sent his own Chakra into Sasuke's body. Sasuke's eyes widened slightly as the pain he was feeling disappeared and Susano became easier to sustain. Luckily for them, green light surrounded them and in seconds, they were gone.

The white light disappeared as Mine and Tatsumi watched the end of the explosion. They hadn't seen Naruto or Sasuke around them nor the green light. It had been hidden under the white.
