Since Fairy Tail and Rave Master was not only created by the same Mangaka but takes places in the same type of world, I decided to combine them. This is my version of when these two stories collide. There is a one-shot written by Mashima Hiro called Fairy Tail X Rave.

Chapter 50: Raving Tails of Splendor

Natsu paced back and forth in front of the mission board. He was excited about their next mission. Lucy came over a few seconds later. "About time! We've got a new mission!" He held up a piece of paper.

Lucy glanced at the paper. "It says to collect Galphines (gal-feens). What is a Galphine?"

"There are small creatures that like to cause mischief," Erza said, walking towards them. Gray was behind her. She took the piece of paper from Natsu. It seems they are bugging a town called Atsui. It is on the border of the Kuba Desert."

"Then it is going to be really hot then," Lucy said. "I'll go pack."

"Yes," Erza said. "Let's meet at the train station in a half hour."

"Alright!" Natsu cheered.

"Can we come?" Wendy asked. "I'm sure I can be of some help."

"Sure," Lucy said.

"Then it's all set then," Erza said. The others nodded before they each went to pack.

"Why are we going to Atsui?" Elie asked.

"It seems they have some Galphines bugging them," Haru said. "Besides, we need the money."

"It will be a good way to test my new blade," Musica added.

"Then let's go!" Elie bent down and picked up Plue. She walked ahead of the others only to stop and turn around. "Come on! What's the hold up?" She continued forward. Musica and Haru looked at each other before following after them.

"And that's twenty," Sasuke said, tossing a small red creature into a bucket. "These things are so annoying." He looked over at Naruto who was laughing as he caught another one. Sasuke shook his head as the creature wiggled out of Naruto's hands. They had only stayed with Gon and the others for another day after learning Hana's secret. They had arrived in this world only a day ago. A village had been somewhat close by that both didn't say anything before heading towards it. The villagers had asked for their help in exchange for food and a place to stay. Not wanting to spend anymore money, Sasuke agreed. This had surprised Naruto, but he wasn't going to stop him. They had learned as much as they could about the Galphines as they could in a few hours. Galphines were small red creatures that bounced around causing mischief. They caused small accidents that grew into bigger problems.

Since they were so small, it was hard to catch them. There were also hundreds of them. Naruto and Sasuke decided to make a game of it. They wouldn't use jutsus to capture them. This didn't stop the from using chakra to keep them from getting out of their buckets. Each had placed a barrier over their bucket that trapped the Galphines inside. Sasuke didn't want to admit it, but he was having some fun. He reached out for another one just as he felt someone getting closer. Naruto must have felt it too since he had stopped moving. They both turned to face a group of people walking towards them.

"Oh," Haru said. "Looks like someone beat us here." Musica and Elie stood behind him.

"What should we do?" Elie asked.

Naruto caught on that they weren't enemies and they were here to make some money. "There are plenty of them to go around. They told us that they are worth 200 jewels each."

"Sure!" Haru smiled.

"Then I guess you don't mind if we join you as well?" Erza asked. Everyone turned to see her standing with Natsu, Lucy, Gray, and Wendy behind her. Happy and Carla were at their partner's feet.

"Yeah!" Natsu yelled. "Lets see which group can get more of them!"

"That's not very fair," Elie said. "There are five of you and only three of us. Oh! And two of them!"

"Why not just catch them all and divide it between the ten of us?" Naruto said. The two other groups looked at their teammates. Naruto glanced at Sasuke who was frowning. Naruto sighed. It was clear that Sasuke thought the others should just go away.

"I think that's fair," Haru said.

"Fine by me," Musica and Gray said at the same time. Lucy and Elie couldn't help but laugh. Musica and Gray were a lot alike.

"Then lets get started," Erza said. "Equip!" In place of her normal clothes was a brown tank-top and black shorts. She had a net in one had and a bucket in the other. With a battle cry, Erza lunged at a Galphine. Her teammates followed quickly after her. Haru, Musica, and Elie must have been pulled in since they too started going after the Galphines. Naruto and Sasuke looked at each other before shrugging and doing the same. The two started laughing, having the most fun they've had since they were kids.

Between the three groups, it didn't take long to catch the Galphines. Naruto led everyone to the town to get their payment. When Naruto, Natsu, and Haru said they were hungry, the group headed to the nearest restaurant. The check was split three ways, each group paying for their own food. Just as they were leaving, the man who had post the request to get rid of the Galphines came up to them.

"There's more of them!" the man said. "They multiplied!"

"You tried to kill them with fire, didn't you?" Gray asked. The man nodded. "They're fire type creatures that use fire to repopulate."

"Please!" the man bowed. "Get rid of them! We'll pay you double what we already gave you!"

"Alright!" Natsu said. "I'm all fired up!"

"You dummy!" Erza said after smacking Natsu upside the head. "You can't use fire!" She turned to the man. "We shall take care of it."

"Thank you!" the man bowed again. He led the group to where over one thousand Galphines were hopping around, terrorizing some people.

"This is going to be a bit of a work out," Musica said. "Ready Haru, Elie?"

"Yes," both of them said. The three of them charged at the Galphines. Gray, Natsu, Erza, and Wendy did the same. Happy and Carla flew after them. Naruto and Sasuke stood back. They already knew about the fire problem since both had tried to use their flames against the Galphines, only to make them multiply. Water and lightning worked well against them.

"Gotcha!" Natsu yelled, throwing a fire punch without meaning to. It hit a group of Galphines, causing them to duplicate. "Ah! Crap!"

"Idiot," Gray said.

"Shut it Gray!" Natsu said.

"This is getting nowhere," Lucy complained.

Sasuke and Naruto nodded at each other. "Step back," Sasuke said. Naruto waved a few signs. Water from the nearby river burst up and began to rain down on the Galphines. Gray was about to freeze the water to keep the Galphines in place when he saw a flash of bluish white. Instead, he formed an ice barrier around himself and his teammates. Haru's team caught on and got behind the ice barrier. Sasuke slammed his hand onto the water. Chidori Nagashi blazed through the water, zapping every Galphine. With the water, the attack was extremely effective. Only a few managed to survive. Naruto instantly called upon his wind to blow them into Sasuke's next attack. When Gray dropped his barrier, everyone looked at Sasuke and Naruto in amazement.

Natsu ran over to them. "I don't care if it's one on one or two on one, but you have to fight me. Both of you!"

"Hn, no," Sasuke said.

"Why not?" Natsu asked. "Scared?"

"Now, now," Naruto said, not wanting a fight to break out. "Let's not destroy this place."

"Isn't that a bit late?" Musica asked, motioning to the damaged caused by Naruto and Sasuke's attacks.

Naruto scratched the back of his neck. "That was necessary. A fight between us isn't."

"I agreed," Elie said. "You shouldn't fight." Lucy and Wendy nodded in agreement.

"We should get going anyway," Erza said. "Master may need us for something."

Natsu crossed his arms and sat down. "I don't want to."

"Don't be childish," Gray said. Before he could defend himself, Gray received a punch to his cheek. He flew backwards a few feet.

"I told you to shut it!" Natsu said.

"Natsu," Erza's leadership personality was out in full force. "Stop this nonsense. We're going back to Fairy Tale!"

"No!" Natsu said. "Not 'til we fight."

"Natsu?" Lucy looked concerned. "Are you ok?" She put a hand on his shoulder.

Natsu slapped the hand away. "Leave me alone." He glared at Lucy.

"Something isn't right," Erza said. "Natsu's acting strange."

"Sasuke?" Naruto questioned. Sasuke had stepped forward.

"Be careful Naruto," Sasuke said. "There's a strange gas leaking from the ground. I think Natsu inhaled it."

"Poison?" Naruto asked. Sasuke nodded. "Not good. Everyone! We must get away from here!"

"Not before we fight," Natsu said. Suddenly, he lunged at Naruto. Sasuke however, stopped Natsu's flames with his Chidori.

"Get the others out of here," Sasuke said. "Neither of us will affected by the poison, but they could be." Naruto knew this was true. He had Kyuubi and Sasuke had built up an immunity while he was with Orochimaru. He growled at the thought of that man before putting his hatred aside and moving towards the others.

"Please get as far from here as possible," Naruto said. "Sasuke and I will seal the poison away."

"What about Natsu?" Lucy asked.

"Once the poison is sealed, we can get him to a healer," Naruto said.

"I'll heal him," Wendy said.

"Alright, now go before..." Naruto jumped back, just missing Haru's swing.

"Haru?" Elie asked.

"Dammit!" Naruto cursed. "He's been affected too. Quickly, before you get affected too!" Erza grabbed one of Lucy's and one of Elie's arms. Gray picked up Wendy while Musica held Happy and Carla in his arms. Happy wanted to stay with Natsu, but he knew he'd only be in the way. Naruto and Sasuke stood back to back as Natsu and Haru approached them.

"From what we've seen, fire doesn't work on Natsu," Sasuke said. "Haru is a swordsman."

"I agree," Naruto said as if he read Sasuke's mind. "I'll fight Natsu and you'll fight Haru. Just don't use your Mangekyo. We don't want to kill them." Sasuke hesitated but nodded. The two switched positions, Naruto sending a wave of air at Natsu and Sasuke blocking Haru's sword with his own.

"I'm all fired up!" Natsu yelled before charging at Naruto, flames surrounded his fists. Naruto dodged before sending another wave of air at Natsu. Naruto's plan was to outlast Natsu. He figure that magical energy was like chakra, it you run out of it, you can't continue to fight. Naruto just had to make Natsu use a lot of his energy. Naruto dodged another of Natsu's attacks. "Fight back!" Natsu swung a fist at Naruto's face. Naruto simply stepped sideways, letting Natsu fall forward. Natsu caught himself and kicked at Naruto's stomach. The kick landed, sending Naruto backwards. Naruto managed to land on his feet. He wiped away the blood that leaked from his mouth. Natsu had a strong kick. He was about to launch another wind attack when his mind brought forth the time Kakashi told him about his elemental nature. Wind fed fire which met that Naruto would have to start using water jutsus.

Sasuke was having a much easier time. It was clear that Haru had some type of limitation on him that held his power back. That didn't make Sasuke hold back though. They were even as far as swordsmanship goes. Sasuke was superior in almost all other ways. He was faster and had the Sharingan. Using both, Sasuke slammed Haru into the ground causing Haru's sword to go flying. Without his sword, Haru would have to use his fists. Sasuke didn't need his sword to beat Haru like this. He pinned Haru down.

"Let me go!" Haru struggled. "I won't let you win!"

"Enough," Sasuke said, getting annoyed. "Go to sleep." He slammed a hand against Haru's neck, knocking him out. Sasuke got off of Haru and looked towards where the poison was coming from. He moved closer to the leak. The combination of his Chidori Nagashi and Naruto's water had caused a crack in the ground. There were two ways to fix this problem, seal the crack or seal the poison. The latter would be harder, but it would be better for everyone. Sasuke wasn't as good as sealing jutsus as Naruto was, a fact he hated to admit, but he had learned one that would work in this situation. Sasuke would first have to burn away as much as the poison as possible. Without hesitation, Sasuke sent a small Amaterasu ball into the crack. He felt the ground shake, letting him know that Amaterasu was working. Pulling out a piece of paper, Sasuke made a quick seal. He sent out his Chakra to capture what was left of the poison and the Amaterasu ball. Both were sent into the paper. The last thing he did was burn the seal, forever destroying the poison.

Sasuke turned towards Naruto only to find the blond on the ground. Naruto had several burn marks on his body, parts of his clothes were gone. Sasuke wondered how Naruto could be losing. He looked around. There was no water left in the river. That meant that it had all been used against Natsu. Without water, Naruto was left with wind, fire, or pure chakra. Fire was bad because of who Natsu was and wind would just help the pink haired man more. As fro pure chakra, Naruto wasn't going to use it since it would cause Natsu too much harm. Naruto must have been too caught up in his thoughts to see the true power behind Natsu's next attack. Sasuke eyes shifted again to the Mangekyo. Black flames appeared on Natsu's arm.

"Sasuke!" Naruto yelled. "I told you not to do that!" Sasuke ignored him, running as fast as he could towards them. Sasuke had a feeling that Natsu could feed on the Amaterasu. He was right. Natsu ate the flames, turning them into his own power. Just as he was about to use that power against Naruto, Sasuke's susano came up, protecting them both. Sasuke's eyes met Natsu's and Natsu let out a scream. It wasn't long before Natsu fell forward, unconscious. "Why?" Naruto asked. "He's not an enemy."

"I told you," Sasuke said. "If it ever comes down to you or them, I'll always chose you." He turned away from Naruto and bent down, picking up Natsu. "You can pick up Haru." Naruto did as he was told, his mind numbed from Sasuke's words. The two carried the unconscious boys back to their teammates. None of the other questioned their states as Wendy healed Natsu and Haru.

"Would you like me to heal you?" Wendy asked Naruto.

"Ah, no," Naruto said. "I'm fine. I will be healed in a bit. Besides, you need to save your energy." Wendy nodded.

Haru awoke first, not remembering what had happened. When Elie told him, he apologized to Naruto and Sasuke. Naruto brushed it off like it wasn't a big deal and Sasuke just didn't care. It took two days before Natsu woke up. At the time, Naruto and Sasuke were already gone.

"Natsu?" Wendy asked. "Are you ok?"

"Y-yeah," Natsu said, looking around, fear evident on his face.

"What's wrong?" Lucy asked.

"Sasuke," Natsu said. Lucy wanted to dig further, but something told her to not question him. She just had to believe that Natsu would be alright.
