Chapter 56: Hidden Sins
Sasuke and Naruto were invite to another game, but this time the guests were both male. They appeared to be around the same age. One had a cleanly shaved head while the other had long wavy hair. The two had no idea why they were there no did they know who they were. The man with wavy hair ordered a drink while the other man asked for water. The man with wavy hair pulled out a cigar and lit it. He offered the other one, but the man refused. It was clear that the clean shaven man hadn't been one to drink alcohol or smoke. It was odd since the man looked to be part of the mafia.
As usually, after hearing that they couldn't leave, the two looked around, trying to find an exit. Once they realized there was none, they returned to the bar to hear the rest of the rules. It was the man with wavy hair that hit the button, too scared to do anything else. The game picked ended up being Chess. It soon became clear that the man that was drinking water was winning.
"I need a break," the long haired man said.
"That is fine," Decim said. Both men headed to the bathroom. A microphone in the bathroom let the others hear what was happening between the two men. The smoker asked the other to agree to end the game in a stalemate, a tie. He agreed. Chiyuki turned to Decim, wondering what would happen if that game ended in a tie. Naruto and Sasuke glanced at each other, as both wanted to know the same thing. Decim held a finger to his lips as the two men returned, taking their seats. After a few turns, the game shifted. Pieces were taken from each side as a chance for a stalemate began to form. Soon, each side was only left with two pieces.
"Hey bartender!" the smoker said. "It looks like we've ended in a tie."
"In deed," Decim said. "It seems you have come to a draw via the dead position."
"We played your little game," the smoker said. "Since there is no clear winner, you have to let both of us go."
"Yes," Decim said. "You may leave." He pointed to the elevators. "There are two elevators over there. I'll escort you to them."
"No," the smoker said. "I don't trust you. Have the girl show us the way."
Decim nodded. "If that is alright with you." He glanced at Chiyuki. "Please show them to the elevators." Chiyuki glanced down before nodding. She then lead the two men to the elevators. Naruto and Sasuke watched as Chiyuki told them that since the elevators were old, it would be safer for them to go alone in each one. The smoker frown but took his spot in the elevator on the right while the other man walked into the one on the left.
The man on the left looked up and stared directly into Chiyuki's eyes. "It was nice meeting you, before I move on." The doors closed and Chiyuki walked back towards Decim.
"That was a bit uneventful," Naruto said as him and Sasuke walked into the room. "The game ended in a tie without any violence, so they both went to be reincarnated, right?"
"No," Decim said. "The only reason the game ended as it did was because one of them planned it that way."
Naruto frowned. "What do you mean?"
"It was the guy that was winning at the beginning, wasn't it," Sasuke said.
"Yes," Decim said. "The moment Chess was selected, his mind went through all of the possible outcomes. He believed that the loser would die and the winner would be let go, just as most believe. However, unlike the others, he saw a way that allowed both of them to leave."
"But that wavy haired guy was the one that brought it up," Naruto said. "We heard him when they went to the bathroom."
"Only because he was made to think that way," Decim said. "He saw that he was going to lose and was going to make his loss into a win anyway possible. He would have beaten the other up or worse to prevent him from returning to the game. Then, he would have said that the other was refusing to play the game and that he should be let go on the grounds that that other forfeited. However, his plans were seen through and with one last hint, he came to the same conclusion that he'd be allowed free if the game ended in a tie."
"Eh?" Naruto was confused.
"We could hear what was happening but we could not see it," Sasuke said.
"Yes," Decim said. "There are no cameras in the bathroom, so we could not see the hint that was given. However, I did see the piece of paper that was in each of their hands."
"It had all the moves planned out?" Chiyuki asked. Decim nodded. "Then that guy really did have things planned from the begging. He increased the pressure my forcing his opponent to believe he was gonna lose. Then he waited until the two of them could get alone. With how they were drinking, it wouldn't surprise me that if he had gone to the bathroom first, the other would have followed him anyway. He read his opponent, saw a loophole and acted out his plan until it reached his desired conclusion." Naruto and Sasuke's eyes widened at that. They hadn't expected to meet someone so clever. "He knew." Chiyuki looked into Decim's eyes."He knew he was dead."
"And he guessed that this was where he'd be judged," Decim said. "He hid this fact and made his plan to insure his chance at reincarnation."
"So then the wavy haired guy went to the Void?" Naruto asked.
"No," Decim said. "He went to be reincarnated."
"So the guy who planned everything from the beginning still went to the Void?" Sasuke asked.
"Yes," Decim said. "Because in his life, he planned things that are too deadly to share." He held up a hand to prevent Naruto and Chiyuki's protests. "We have another guest coming and…" A green light flashed on Sasuke's bracelet. Naruto glanced at it before looking at his own. His was green as well. Naruto said his goodbyes as he headed back to their room to grab his things.
"He killed people," Sasuke said.
"One should never judge a book by its cover," Decim said. Sasuke nodded as he followed after Naruto, deciding it was better to not see the new guests arrive as he knew he'd want to stay to learn more.

Another forest. Naruto complained that it seemed that every time they go to a new world, they end up in a forest. Sasuke could help but agree as he could only count on one hand the number of times they hadn't ended up in the woods. Just as Naruto was stomping around, a flash of pink caught Sasuke's attention. The figure collided with Naruto, stopping him monologue. A squeek of surprise came from both parties as Naruto blushed and backed away. His hand had ended up brushing against the woman's breast.
"S-sorry," the woman said. "I wasn't looking where I was going." She held up a hand and helped Naruto to his feet.
"It's alright," Naruto said, blush still in place. Sasuke growled, already not liking this woman. She had silver hair with her bangs covering her right eye. Her left eye was blue. She wore a pink sleeveless top and a black skirt. It was weird, but she wore only one black stocking on her left leg and her shoes were two different colors, one white and one black.
"Have you seen a man with blond hair and green eyes about this tall?" the girl held out a hand to show the man's height. Naruto shook his head. "Oh Sir Meliodas, where are you?"
"Elizabeth!" a voice yelled. "Did you find him?" A boy appeared, floating on a pillow.
"Sir King," Elizabeth said. "No, and I'm guessing you haven't either."
"We should see if Ban or Diane has found him," King said. He then glanced towards Naruto and Sasuke. "Who are they?"
"Oh!" Elizabeth turned towards them. "I'm sorry." She bowed. "My name's Elizabeth, third princess of Liones."
"And I'm King of the Seven Deadly Sins, the Sloth Sin," King said.
"Then what's your name?" Naruto asked.
King frowned. "It's King."
"Your name is King?" Naruto asked. "That's a bit... " Naruto chuckled. "Sorry, it's just a strange name." King glared at him. Naruto coughed. "Anyway, my name is Naruto and that's Sasuke." He motioned to Sasuke who was staring at a spot behind Naruto. Naruto looked down as the ground shook beneath him. He then looked up only to take a step back. A giant woman stood nearly thirty feet tall. He couldn't help but stare at her before letting out a sigh of relief, she wasn't a titan.
"Diane!" King said. "Did you find the Captain?" Diane shook her head. "I see."
"Maybe I can help you," Naruto said. He flipped his backpack over and pulled out a piece of parchment. He opened it, saying the magic words, and waited for the map to form. The group were in awe at how the map just magically appeared on the piece of parchment. Naruto just smiled as he scanned the map. The dots around him were Sasuke, King, Diane, Ban and Elizabeth. He looked around for one marked Meliodas. "Ah! There!" He pointed to the dot. "He's with someone named Gowther."
"Cht," Ban tsked. "He could have let us know Captain came back."
"If Captain is back at the Boar Hat, then we might a well go," Diane said.
"Yeah," King said.
"Fine," Ban said.
"Thank you," Elizabeth said, bowing.
Naruto scratched the back of his neck. "No problem." His stomach rumbled.
"Oh!" Elizabeth said. "You're hungry."
"Why don't you come with us?" Diane said. "The least we can do is offer you food to pay you back for your help." There was no way that Naruto was going to turn down free food. He glanced at Sasuke, with a look that caused Sasuke to instantly agree. He would never admit that seeing the happy expression on Naruto's face had made his agreement worth it. Besides, he was also hungry.
"That would be awesome," Naruto said after he had cheered. Diane and Elizabeth giggled as they led Naruto towards the Boar Hat. Sasuke, Ban, and King followed behind them, Sasuke keeping an eye on the four strangers. Ban and King were doing the same to Naruto and Sasuke. Naruto's trick with the parchment had been cool but something like that was dangerous, especially in the wrong hands. Besides, something was off about the two. As they walked, Diane properly introduced herself. Naruto told her a little about himself, excluding the whole from another world part. Elizabeth seemed fascinated at meeting not only one, but two ninjas. At hearing this, King and Ban relaxed a bit.
When they arrived at the Boar Hat, they saw a blond kid talking to a woman with black hair. "Captain!" Diane yelled.
Meliodas turned and smiled. "Hey Diane. It's been awhile."
"Where have you been?" Diane asked.
"That's…" Meliodas began.
"Who are they?" the woman with Meliodas asked, motioning to Naruto and Sasuke.
"Naruto and Sasuke," Elizabeth said. "They helped us find Sir Meliodas. And since they're hungry I…"
"Customers!" Meliodas cheered from the ground. He was crouched down, taking a peek under Elizabeth's skirt.
"Um… yes," Elizabeth said. Out of nowhere, a pig kicked Meliodas away from Elizabeth. The pig then began to lecture the men. Naruto and Sasuke just stared at them.
"Enough!" The unknown woman said. Meliodas and Hawk stopped arguing and stood straight. "Good. Now I believe food is in order."
"Yes!" Meliodas said. He jumped back, his arm moving to show off the Boar Hat. "Welcome to the Boar Hat!" He then ran inside. Ban sighed as he followed after Meliodas. The rest weren't far behind.
King stopped at the entrance. "Are you coming Diane?"
"Yeah," Diane said. She took a pill and her body shrank to about the same height as Elizabeth. She then grabbed King's arm and walked into the bar. King's face was a bright red until she finally let him go so that they could sit down. Naruto and Sasuke sat at their own table.
"Naruto and Sasuke right?" a pink haired man asked, coming up to them. Naruto shuddered. He reminded him of Sai. "My name is Gowther, the Goat sin of Lust!" He made a peace sign. Naruto and Sasuke just stared at him.
"Gowther, you need to learn how to introduce yourself properly," the dark haired woman said. She turned to face Naruto and Sasuke. "My name is Merlin. I'm the Boar Sin of Gluttony, a mage."
"She's not just a normal mage either," Meliodas said. "She's the greatest mage of Britannia."
"Captain?" Merlin said.
"Yes?" Meliodas asked.
"Go bother someone else," Merlin said.
Meliodas pouted. "Fine." He walked over to Elizabeth, squeezing one of her breasts. Merlin rolled her eyes.
"Food's ready!" Ban said. He was wearing an apron and carrying some food in both of his hands. He placed a plate at Naruto's table and one at Elizabeth's. "There's more coming." He turned and walked back into the kitchen. Diane and Elizabeth stood up to get some plates and drinks. Naruto ate at his usual fast pace as Sasuke ate slowly. The two unknowingly drank some ale. Finding the drink very delicious, the two drank a lot. It was Sasuke that felt the results of the alcohol first. Naruto managed to catch him so that he wouldn't hit the floor. Elizabeth showed them to Ban's room, allowing them to sleep off the alcohol. Naruto blushed as he stripped Sasuke down to his boxers. He glanced at the pale body of the other. There were a few cuts here and there that had healed along time ago. Naruto guessed that it was from Sasuke's time with Orochimaru. His fingers moved across one of the bigger scars, wondering how Sasuke got it. Sasuke let out a groan, causing Naruto to blush and retract his hand. He then stripped down to his boxers and got in bed with Sasuke, a pillow between them. He stared at the wall until sleep finally reached him.
