I do not own these Naruto, nor do I make any money off of this.

Chapter 88: No Matter the Differences

Naruto and Sasuke fell from the sky quickly. The green light surrounding them collided with red. Like a ball, they bounced off the red wall and landed a few feet away. They picked themselves up, patting down their clothes. They looked up to see Sasuke's old home. A barrier surrounded the entire compound. It felt familiar to Naruto so he walked towards it. A hole appeared in the barrier and out walked Suigetsu, Karin, and Jugo.

"Oh," Suigetsu said. "It's just Sasuke and Naruto." He took a step forward, only for Karin to hold out an arm.

"It's not them," Karin said. "Their chakras are different."

"That means they are enemies," Suigetsu said. He grinned before taking out his sword and charging at Sasuke. His sword met Sasuke's Kusanagi. "Even got a copy of his sword. Interesting." He jumped into the air and slammed his sword down. Just as his sword hit Sasuke's, Suigetsu turned into water. He appeared behind Sasuke with a kunai. Sasuke pushed himself up, kicking Suigetsu in the stomach and pushing his sword to the ground. Suigetsu's stomach turned into water before he jumped back. He dodged a fist to his head and swung around to pick up his sword. "Not bad." Ready to protect his teammates, Jugo let out his curse mark. Suigetsu and Jugo ran at Sasuke and Naruto. Sasuke charged up a Chidori as Naruto readied a Rasengan. Before either jutsu could connect with their target, a hand grabbed each of their hands. Naruto looked up to a man wearing a fox mask while Sasuke's eyes met red ones behind a raven mask.

"I believe this is over," the man behind the fox mask said.

Suigetsu slammed his sword into the ground and leaned against it. "Aw! I was having fun." He grinned, showing off a fang. Jugo let his curse mark fade.

Karin stepped forward. "They aren't them," she said.

"We know," the man behind the fox mask said. "The Kit is in the office and the Uchiha brat is on a mission."

"Who are they?" Jugo asked. "Clones?"

"No," Karin said. "Their chakras are too different. Well, Sasuke's is similar to his." She pointed at Sasuke. "But Naruto's is way different from his." She pointed at Naruto.

"Not too different," the man behind the fox mask said. "It's like he's the Kit of the past."

"We're not from another time," Naruto said. "We are simply the Naruto and Sasuke from another world." He pointed at his stomach. "I bet you can sense him, right Kurama?"

"So you know who I am," Kurama said, removing his mask. He grinned. "And yes, I can. I have to admit that it is strange to sense my chakra coming from you." He turned to the other Anbu. "They aren't here to cause any trouble. I think the Kit may want to see them though."

"Then we should go inside," the man in the raven mask said. He walked over to the barrier and waved a few hand signs. "Let's go." He stepped aside to let Suigetsu, Karin, and Jugo through. Naruto and Sasuke looked at each other before following them. Kurama let his partner go first, knowing that it didn't matter if the barrier closed on him since he'd be fine.

Sasuke felt a bit strange walking into his old home. He looked around, noticing that it had changed quite a bit. They headed right for the main house. "I'll make some tea," Kurama said as he placed his mask on a nail by the door. He headed for the kitchen, stopping before the doorway. He turned back towards Suigetsu, Karin, and Jugo. "Did you finish what the Kit asked you to do?"

"Almost," Karin said. "We were in the middle of it when I felt something hit the barrier."

"You better go then," Kurama said. "Unless you want to anger him." The three shuddered before leaving the room as quickly as possible without running. Kurama then ducked into the kitchen. Naruto and Sasuke sat down and stared at the man still wearing the raven mask. Both had an idea as to who he was. Kurama came back into the room with six cups. Naruto and Sasuke wondered why he'd brought six when there were only four of them. "The Kit probably felt it too. And the brat should be back soon."

"Kurama, you should stop calling Sasuke a brat," Itachi removed his mask, proving Naruto and Sasuke right. Sasuke clenched his fists. Itachi was alive in this world as well. It was a bit unfair.

"Not gonna happen," Kurama said. He took a seat next to Itachi. "Five… four... Three… two…"

A second later, there was a popping noise. Two people appeared in the room. One was dressed in Anbu gear with a wolf mask on his face. The other was wearing a light blue shirt and black pants. "Well, this is interesting," the blond said.

"Hn," the Anbu grunted. He reached up and took off his mask. Naruto and Sasuke looked at what appeared to be their older selves. "What are they?"

"That's a bit rude, Sasuke," the Older Naruto said. "It is actually easy to tell. They are us, just not us at the same time." He sat down on Kurama's left side so that he was facing Naruto. "So tell me, how did you get here?" Naruto didn't hesitate to tell the man everything. "I see. Well, you can stay here for now. Though, it won't be a good idea for you to leave. We wouldn't want you to get attacked again." He grinned. "I guess I'll say it first! Welcome to the Uzumaki Compound!"

"Uzumaki Compound?" Sasuke asked. "But that's…"

"Naruto bought it when it went up for sale," Itachi said. "When Sasuke left, it became property of the council." A flash of hatred appeared in Sasuke's eyes. "Maybe we should talk about our worlds. I'm sure there are some differences." Naruto and Sasuke nodded. "Then first things first, how old are you?"

"I'm almost eighteen," Naruto said. "Though I'm not sure since I don't know how long we've been away from our world. The Teme is eighteen."

"I'm twenty," Older Naruto said. "Sasuke will be twenty-one in a week. Itachi is twenty-six and Kurama, well he's…"

"I have the body of a twenty-seven-year-old," Kurama said. "But obviously I'm a lot older than that."

"Um…" Naruto looked a little embarrassed. "Can I ask… how long have you been together?" He was looking at the older version of himself.

The older blond blushed. "Sasuke and I have been together for nearly three years. Same with Kurama and Itachi." He frowned. "How did you know?"

Naruto pointed to his nose. "I can smell it."

"Ah!" Kurama smirked. "Demonic sense of smell. Got the Demonic Hearing as well?"

"Sometimes," Naruto said. "I haven't really trained it. My sense of smell is strong since I had to make sure no one poisoned my food when I went out." Kurama frowned. He hoped that this Naruto hadn't gone through everything that his Kit had. "But I don't have to worry about that anymore. Ever since I defeated Pein, I've been treated like a hero."

"Is he dead?" Older Naruto asked. "Nagato." Naruto nodded. "I see. Here, Nagato is alive. He and Konan are married with a beautiful baby girl."

"Wow!" Naruto said. "Then is Akatsuki gone?"

"Yes," Older Naruto said. "Only Kisame survived the war. He ah…" He glanced at Itachi. "He gave up and hasn't been seen since."

"Then Madara is dead?" Naruto asked.

"Madara?" Itachi asked. "He died fighting the First."

"Oh," Naruto said. "Then can I ask who summoned the Kyuubi to Konoha twenty years ago?"

"Inabi Uchiha," Kurama said.

"I see," Naruto said. "Madara Uchiha was the one who summoned Kurama in my world. He's also the real leader of the Akatsuki."

"Damn," Kurama said. "I heard he was like a god."

"Hn," Older Sasuke grunted. "Nothing like Naruto."

"True," Itachi said. "You could probably beat him with your hands tied behind your back."

Naruto and Sasuke's eyes widened. They could tell that this Naruto was stronger than them, but they had no idea he was that strong. Sasuke wondered if this Naruto was stronger than Hisoka. He looked at Older Sasuke. The man was strong, but he couldn't tell if he was stronger than him or not.

"What?" Older Sasuke asked, catching Sasuke's eyes on him.

"How strong are you?" Sasuke asked.

"Strong enough," Older Sasuke said. Sasuke glared at him, his Sharingan flashing. Older Sasuke activated his own Sharingan. Not wanting to be outdone, Sasuke's eyes shifted to the Mangekyo Sharingan. "Those eyes, they're Aniki's."

"I took them after I killed him," Sasuke said. "I didn't know that the council elders had ordered Itachi to kill the entire clan until Madara told me." He nearly growled. "Those bastards are gonna die."

"They're dead here," Older Naruto said. "They were executed after the other council members found out the truth. Itachi and Sasuke were welcomed back without any punishments."

"Why did you come back?" Naruto asked.

Older Sasuke sighed. "My reasons for coming back weren't pure." He didn't look happy about what he'd done. "After killing Orochimaru, I formed a team, those three you can sense, and came to make Naruto come with me… as bait."

"As bait?" Naruto asked.

"To lure out Itachi," Older Naruto said. "He was hoping that Itachi would go after me and he'd be able to kill him when he did. But when the Akatsuki attacked Suna, Itachi gave up his ring and returned to Konoha. This was of course after telling Sasuke the truth. Oh! And Kurama was the one that found the scroll about the Massacre."

"There's a scroll?" Naruto asked.

"It was in the archives in Hokage Tower," Kurama said. "It has the council seal on it."

"Maybe there's one in our world," Naruto said. He turned towards Sasuke. "We can get Obaa-san to call a meeting and have them pay for what they did."

"It's not enough!" Sasuke yelled. "They killed my family!" He stood up. "Konoha will burn to the ground!"

SLAP! The sound rang through the room. Several eyes were wide as they saw that Older Sasuke had slapped Sasuke. "Enough with your childishness. The Elders and that Danzo guy were the only ones responsible. Why would you kill innocent people?"

"Bastard!" Sasuke yelled. He raised his hand to punch Older Sasuke, but a hand caught his. Sasuke turned to look at Older Naruto with his Mangekyo.

"Sit!" Older Naruto ordered. Older Sasuke tsked before sitting down. Sasuke didn't move. Older Naruto's red eyes met Sasuke's. "I said sit." Sasuke felt the aura around Older Naruto change and he couldn't help but sit down. His Sharingan faded as fear caused him to sit still. "Good." Older Naruto sat back down. Itachi and Kurama let out a sigh of relief. Older Naruto smiled. "Now I believe we should change the topic, eh?" He turned to Naruto. "Tell me a bit more about yourself and your world. Like the status of your friends, Obaa-san, Ero-Sennin, and the others in Konoha."

"Ero-Sennin is dead," Naruto said. "He died fighting Pein."

"I see," Older Naruto said. "He's alive here. If you'd like, I can send for him."

Naruto shook his head. "I don't think that's a good idea."

"True," Older Naruto said. "It would be bad if you didn't want to leave. Your Konoha needs you." Naruto nodded. A stomach growling filled the silence. "Ah! I haven't had lunch yet." He stood up. "Kurama, help me make something?" The red-head nodded, standing up. "Sasuke, can you let Kyoko in? I can sense her worry. She's been pacing outside for over twenty minutes now." Older Sasuke said nothing as he disappeared. Older Naruto and Kurama headed into the kitchen leaving Itachi, Naruto, and Sasuke alone.

Itachi leaned forward and tapped Sasuke on the shoulder. "You have to forgive Naruto. He sometimes doesn't realize that his power can be too much for some people."

"What did he do to me?" Sasuke asked.

"Naruto can make anyone that has less chakra than his follow his orders," Itachi said. "It usually only happens when he gets mad. I'm sure you can tell that Naruto has a lot of chakra." Naruto and Sasuke nodded. "Well, there is no one in this world that has more chakra than him."

"Shouldn't Kurama have more?" Naruto asked.

"No," Itachi said. "Kurama has more than I do, but Naruto has far more than him. They merged awhile back. Naruto received almost all of Kurama's chakra. Kurama was able to keep enough to keep his human form."

"Is Kurama human?" Naruto asked.

Itachi smiled. "Yes and no. He still has some demonic powers, like the Demonic Hearing and he can heal faster than normal humans. He also has a fox form, but tends not to use it."

"I'm a demon," Older Naruto said, walking into the room. "Food is ready." He pointed to the dining room. "Let's move over there." Just then, Older Sasuke appeared with a girl by his side. She was wearing an Anbu uniform with a mask on her hip. She had long black hair and dark brown eyes.

"Is everything alright, Hokage-sama?" the girl asked.

"Yes, Kyoko," Older Naruto said. "And please call me Naruto at least."

"I'm afraid I can't do that, Hokage-sama," Kyoko said. "Anyway, I felt the collision of chakra and came here as fast as I could. I'm sure others felt it too. Whatever hit your barrier must have been very powerful."

"It is nothing to be concerned about," Older Naruto said. "Now, we were just about to eat. Would you like to join us Kyoko?"

Kyoko looked ready to refuse, but a glare from Older Sasuke made her nod. It was rewarded with a smile from Older Naruto. The group took their seats and Kyoko instantly wondered why her Hokage and Captain had made a clone of themselves. She voiced her question.

"Ah, yes," Older Naruto said. "They are not our clones. I'm sure you feel the difference in chakra. They are ourselves from another world."

"Like Uen-san?" Kyoko asked. Older Naruto nodded. At that, Naruto and Sasuke began to understand why the others seemed so accepting of the fact they're from another world. But the question still remained…

"Who's Uen?" Naruto asked.

"He's someone from another world just like you two," Naruto said. "He appeared about a month ago. Sasuke nearly killed him."

"He appeared in your office," Older Sasuke said. "As your Anbu guard, it is my duty to protect you."

Older Naruto rolled his eyes. "Yeah, well, protecting me does not mean you have to destroy my office. We're lucky that I could fix it."

"Hn," Older Sasuke grunted.

Kurama smirked. "At least it wasn't as bad as what Itachi did."

Itachi blushed. "I thought he was an enemy."

"Yeah, well, you didn't have to destroy three of the Uzumaki houses," Kurama said. "Poor Jugo, Suigetsu, and Karin lost their homes."

"Only for an hour," Itachi said. "Thanks to Naruto's Wood Style, they were fixed."

"Wood Style?" Naruto asked, eyes wide. "But only Yamato-sensei and the First could do that!"

Older Naruto smiled. "I'm the First's great great grand nephew, on Dad's side." Naruto looked at him in amazement.

Older Sasuke caught the look and decided that he wanted to brag about his lover. "He is also related to Haku, on Kushina's side."

"Mom was related to Haku?" Naruto's jaw was dropped and Sasuke looked at Older Naruto in further amazement. "Wow!" He turned to Sasuke. "See? I told you I'm awesome!"

"He's awesome," Sasuke said, motioning to Older Naruto. "You're just a Dobe."

"Teme!" Naruto yelled, a fist rising into the air.

"Stop," Older Naruto ordered. Naruto instantly sat back down while Sasuke fell silent. "Thank you. As much as I love fixing things, I don't want to ruin Mikoto's rug." Sasuke and Naruto looked at the floor to see a very old, yet beautiful red rug under them. It stretched out over most of the dining room floor. Sasuke recognized it from when the family celebrated Christmas together. Older Naruto noticed Sasuke's change and decided to change the subject. "So, tell me, are you two together?"

"Eh?" Naruto yelled while Sasuke mumbled, "As if."

Older Naruto frowned as did Itachi and Older Sasuke. Kurama just smirked while Kyoko still looked confused. "Why not?" Itachi asked.

"I love Sakura-chan," Naruto said, though he felt a strange pain in his chest. "Teme is lucky he has such a fine woman as Sakura-chan in love with him." He crossed his arms and glared at the raven. "Stupid Teme."

"I don't love her," Sasuke said. "And I never will."

"Why not?" Naruto asked.

"Yeah, Uchiha," Kurama said, grinning evilly. "Why not?"

Sasuke glared at Kurama. He could tell that the ex-demon knew something about Sasuke that he shouldn't. His gaze moved to each of the others learning that they too seemed to know or have a sense of what Kurama knew. Kyoko and Naruto were probably the only ones that had no idea what Sasuke was thinking. "She's not my type," Sasuke said simply, trying not to look at anyone. His gaze fell on Kyoko since she seemed to be the safest to look at.

Naruto followed his gaze. "Oh!" Several pairs of eyes turned to him. "You like Kyoko-chan!"

"Eh!?" Kyoko yelled, blushing.

Sasuke glared. "I don't."

"But you find her attractive," Naruto said. He looked at Kyoko up and down. The girl looked like she wanted to disappear. "She is pretty."

"T-thank you Ho...Na…" she fell silent, not sure what to call Naruto. Then she stood up. "I… um… I need to go. Bye!" She vanished in a puff of smoke.

Older Naruto couldn't help but laugh. "She's still too shy. She couldn't take the compliment."

"Where did you guys meet?" Naruto asked.

"Kyoko was someone who was forced to join Kabuto's side in the war," Older Naruto said. "Upon awakening Orochimaru's children, he…"

"Wait!" Naruto interrupted. "Orochimaru had kids?" He glanced at Sasuke who looked just as surprised as he was.

"I was surprised too," Older Sasuke said. "He never mentioned them to me. Though I did find out that he wanted me and Suzume, Orochimaru's daughter, to have a child. He wanted a younger Uchiha just in case my body wasn't enough."

"And he wanted the Kit's child as well," Kurama said. "The sick bastard probably planned to have the two children have a child to make the Rinnegan."

"Luckily, Kabuto failed," Itachi said.

"Anyway," Older Naruto began. "Kyoko was one of children that Kabuto and Orochimaru's children kidnapped and experimented on. Kyoko has a special power that allows her to negate my chakra. In other words, she will never be forced to do anything simply because I have more chakra than her. No chakra based attacks work on her. If she wanted to, she could walk through my barrier and destroy it, while remaining unharmed." He took a sip of his drink. "She was a good weapon against me and many others, but there are ways around her power. We were able to stop her and while others were punished, I was able to offer her a new life in Konoha. Being the Hokage has its advantages."

"She seems like a good person," Naruto said.

"She is," Older Naruto said. "She is also smart. I put her on Sasuke's team and she looks up to him."

"I'm just glad she knows I'm married," Older Sasuke said.

"And that the Kit would never allow you to cheat on him," Kurama said.

"Hn," Older Sasuke smirked, knowing that Naruto was his and that he was Naruto's. He fiddled with the ring on his left hand.

"How long have you been married?" Naruto asked.

"A few months," Older Naruto said. "Just a few days before Uen appeared."

"This Uen, did he mention anything about a Council?" Sasuke asked.

Older Naruto shook his head. "The only thing he told us was that he was from a world where chakra and shinobis didn't exist. He also told us that he would only be here for a short while as he wanted to look into the Uchiha records we had."

"And you allowed him?" Sasuke asked, sharingan spinning.

"Why shouldn't an Uchiha look at their family records?" Older Naruto asked.

Sasuke calmed down at that. "An Uchiha?" He looked at Itachi and Older Sasuke who nodded. "I've never heard of a Uen Uchiha."

"Neither have I," Itachi said.

"Then you just believed him?" Sasuke asked.

"We had to," Older Sasuke said. He had his arms crossed and an angry look on his face. "He had an Uchiha family hairloom on him, one of the same ones we have. Aniki and I made sure he hadn't stolen ours and even after that, we checked to make sure it was real." At that his Sharingan spinned.

"And it was," Older Naruto said. "So, he's been spending his time reading through the family archive. Though I don't know what he is looking for. It is just all boring stuff."

"You read through it too?" Sasuke asked.

Older Naruto smiled, lifting his left hand. "I'm an Uchiha too so of course I've read it." Older Sasuke smirked, loving how Naruto showed them his claim over the blond.

"How come you didn't change the name of the compound back to Uchiha if you guys are married?" Naruto asked.

Older Naruto shrugged. "I got used to the name, I guess."

"It doesn't matter," Older Sasuke said. "Besides, Itachi's last name is Uzumaki now, so there are Uzumakis still living in the Compound."

"So Kurama took on my last name when he turned human?" Naruto asked. Kurama nodded. "And he married Itachi?" Itachi nodded. Naruto grinned. "Then Itachi is Kurama's wife!" He laughed.

"Dobe," Sasuke said, grabbing Naruto's attention. He pointed at Older Naruto. "That means he's his wife." His finger moved to point at Older Sasuke. Both Narutos blushed causing both Sasukes to smirk. Oh how they loved the redness on the tanned skin of the blondes.

"Right," Older Naruto said, trying to get rid of his blush. "I think I'll get started on the dishes." Older Naruto made a move to head towards the kitchen but Older Sasuke put a hand on his.

"Allow me," Older Sasuke said. He and Itachi stood up and gathered the dishes. They headed into the kitchen as Older Naruto sat back down.

"S-so," Older Naruto said. "What…" A popping noise filled the room as two people appeared. "Ah, Kakashi-sensei, Iruka-sensei."

"Naruto," Kakashi said. He looked around. "And clones?" He raised an eyebrow.

"No, not clones," Older Naruto said. "They are like Uen."

"Really?" Iruka asked excitedly. He took Itachi's seat. "What world do you come from?"

"One both similar and different from this one," Naruto said. He frowned before raising to his feet and pointing an accusing finger at Kakashi. "What did you do to Iruka-sensei?"

"Ma," Kakashi said. "I don't know what you mean."

"As if you don't," Naruto said. He pointed to his nose. "I can smell you all over him. What did you do, you pervert?"

"Ah, Naruto?" Older Naruto said. "Wow! It's weird to call your name when it is also mine." He shook his head. "Anyway, Kakashi-sensei and Iruka-sensei have been married for far longer than we have."

Naruto blushed. "Oh." He sat down. "S-sorry Kakashi-sensei." Kakashi just waved it off.

"So what are you doing here?" Older Naruto asked.

"Sakura was looking for you," Kakashi said. "She said something about paperwork."

Older Naruto cursed. "Can't she give me just a little break?"

"You've been missing for over an hour now," a voice said. Everyone turned to see Sakura walking into the room with an Older Naruto look-alike. It smiled before disappearing in a shushin. "This can't wait." She placed the paper down in front of Older Naruto.

Older Naruto grabbed the paper and began to read it. His eyes widened. "This is…"

"The last part in Raji Akiyama's journal," Sakura said. "I think all of Team Kitsune should read it."

"Right," Older Naruto said. "Sasuke! Itachi!" The two came into the room quickly, only glancing at the three new people in the room before moving over towards Older Naruto. Kurama looked over Older Naruto's other shoulder to read the paper. A surprised look appeared on their faces.

"Kit," Kurama said. "Do you want to?"

"I think it is only right," Older Naruto said. "I'll have to talk to Gaara, Bee, and Kari's mother, but I bet they'll agree with me."

"What is it?" Naruto asked.

Older Naruto looked at Naruto before his eyes moved around the room. He then turned back to Naruto and smiled. "It's nothing for you to worry about." The piece of paper suddenly caught on fire. Older Naruto knew that it was just a copy as Sakura would never take the real thing out of his office. He stood up. "Now I think we need to find you some sleeping arrangements. We have two guest rooms in this house." He looked at Sasuke. "Sasuke and I share your old room, so I'm afraid you'll have to choose a different one."

"We have our own house," Itachi said. "So my old room is free if you want it." Sasuke nodded. He guessed the other room had been his parents' old room. There was no way he'd be able to sleep in there.

"Then I'll take the other room," Naruto said.

Older Naruto nodded. "I have to go back to the office. Sasuke, can you show them to their rooms?" Older Sasuke nodded. "Good." Older Naruto kissed Older Sasuke. "I'll be back within an hour. Stay here with them, just in case." Before Older Sasuke could argue, Older Naruto continued. "I'll have Sakura with me. Besides, you know that I can protect myself." Older Sasuke couldn't really argue with that. "Don't worry." He kissed him again. "I promise I'll come back to you." Without another word, he disappeared. Sakura smiled before following him.

"We will also be going," Kakashi said. He grabbed Iruka and with a wave, teleported home.

"Bye little brother," Itachi said to Older Sasuke. "And even littler little brother." He headed towards the door.

"Bye Uchiha brats, Kit," Kurama grinned. He followed after Itachi with a little skip in his step. Both Sasukes glared.

"Let's go," Older Sasuke said. He started for the stairs knowing that Naruto and Sasuke would follow him. He stopped before the first room. "This is my room with Naruto. Try not to disturb us and we won't disturb you." He continued forward. "This is your room." He looked at Naruto. "The sheets were just washed a few days ago."

"Thanks!" Naruto said. He walked into the room, closing the door behind him. It was the biggest bedroom in the house with a king size bed and a large dresser with a mirror. There was also a walk-in-closet. Inside the closet were a few bags on hangers. Out of curiosity, Naruto opened one. He blushed as he realized what was inside. An orange and red wedding kimono that could only be Older Naruto's was inside. He glanced at the other bag and guessed that it was Older Sasuke's. He unzipped it and was rewarded with a dark blue one. Naruto zipped it back up and moved back to Older Naruto's. He allowed his fingers to move over the beautiful cloth. Deciding that it would be ok, he took the kimono out of the bag and placed it on the bed. With a nod, he stripped himself of his clothes. He briefly wondered if he should shower first. Grabbing his bag, he hesitated before dropping it back on the floor. Instead, he went right back towards the kimono. Not wanting to wait any longer, Naruto began to put it on. It was a bit loose in some places, but it wasn't too bad. He walked over to the mirror and looked at himself. He gasped at what he saw.

"You look good Kit."

Naruto blushed. "T-thanks."

"Bet the Uchiha would like it."

'T-that's not…'

"Admit it. You love the brat."

Naruto sighed. 'Still. We know he doesn't feel the same way. Besides, there's no way we'd make a good couple. And we are both men!'

"Didn't stop them." Naruto knew he was talking about Older Naruto and Sasuke. "They look good together. And they weren't the only ones. What about Menma and Charasuke? They were a couple in their world too."

'W-what are you s-saying?'

"Face it Kit. You two are meant to be together. If those other worlds didn't convince you then think about Naruko's. Hell, even the one where the Uchiha killed you, you two were together. I know you smelt it."

'I know.' Naruto looked at himself in the mirror. A sad smile appeared on his face. 'But it doesn't matter. Sasuke doesn't want to come back to Konoha.'

"Then why not go to him?"

'Eh?'

"If you love him so much, leave Konoha and find another place for you two. You could always become a Sannin like Jiraiya and travel together. That way, you're not categorized as a missing nin."

'I thought you hated Sasuke.'

"I do, but if he makes you happy, then I don't care if you end up together. All those worlds taught me that."

'I… I'll think about it.'

"Then I'm going back to bed. You should too." The fox lowered his body, wrapping his tails around himself as he let himself fall asleep. He knew that Naruto would be safe here.

Naruto stared at himself for a few minutes before he took off the kimono, put it carefully back in the bag, and hung it up. He then grabbed a pair of night clothes and changed into them. He'd shower in the morning.
