Hey guys sorry for putting this up late, but enjoy

Chapter 11

After Romeo told him about Wendy, Macao briefly explained to Wakaba before restarting the game, "Wendy is pregnant, and Romeo is the dad. We are dealing with the issue; only certain people know, so this stays between us."

Wakaba nodded and the topic was dropped. The night was like any other; they laughed and drank a little, and then Wakaba went home.

When Macao got up the next morning, he had a slight headache, so he took a magic pill on his way to the kitchen where he found a note from his son. He read the note; at first, he was angry with his son, but as he read on, he realized his son did nothing wrong. He was also curious to know exactly what Natsu said.

After reading the note, he walked over to Romeo's room and looked through the door where it had been left ajar. He saw his son sharing the bed with Wendy. The covers were slightly down, so he could tell she was in a tank top while his son was shirtless. Romeo had his arms wrapped around Wendy protectively, like he was shielding and comforting her simultaneously. Macao smiled because he knew his son was happy.

Macao shut the door quietly, grabbed a lacrima from his room, and went back to the kitchen to call Lucy.

Lucy woke up to her lacrima ringing and quickly answered it so she would not wake Natsu— or worse, Nashi. "Hello?" she whispered as she climbed out of bed. She rubbed her eyes and looked at the clock, 6:48 am.

"Lucy, it's Macao. I just wanted to let you know that Wendy is here."

Lucy's eyes widened and her mouth fell open in shock. As Lucy rushed to shut her bedroom door, she said, "What?"

Macao sighed. "They're still asleep, but Romeo left me a note that said Wendy came over late last night after a fight with Natsu and that she was really upset. He also mentioned that she is afraid Natsu will kick her out."

Lucy gasped. "I knew he was too tough on her last night! Okay, well, I'll bring Natsu over there later, probably around 8:30. He needs to apologize."

"Alright, thanks, Lucy. By the way, Romeo told me what's going on, and I don't condone their actions either. I haven't heard exact details, but based on Romeo's brief description, I'm not sure I agree with Natsu's actions."

Lucy sighed. "Neither do I, Macao. He took it way too far last night, and I'll make sure to talk about it before we come over. His behavior was unacceptable."

"Good. Natsu doesn't need to upset her anymore," Macao stated.

"I agree. Thanks for calling. I'll see you later." Lucy said.

"See you, Lucy," said Macao.

Lucy hung up the phone and went downstairs to fix herself some coffee. She was gonna need all the help she could get if she had to wake Natsu up this early.

After drinking her coffee, Lucy heard Nashi start to cry, so she went upstairs and fed her, but she didn't put her back to sleep. Instead, she dressed her and set her in her playpen with the baby monitor on. Then, she headed to Wendy's room to see if she left anything; but not even a note could be found. Lucy walked over to the room she shared with Natsu and started to shake him awake.

His eyes shot open, startled, and he asked "Luce?"

"Natsu, get up. We need to talk," she demanded.

He sat up groggily, knowing not to go against her when she was angry. "What time is it?"

"It's 7:28, Natsu," Lucy said coldly.

"Are you mad at me, Luce?" He asked.

She nodded.

"This about the table?" Lucy stayed silent, scowling at him with her arms crossed against her chest. Then, he asked meekly, "Is it about Wendy?"

She nodded.

He sighed. "I'm sorry, Luce, but she needs tough love. She fucked up."

Lucy groaned. "Yes, she fucked up, but Natsu, last night was not tough love— you didn't even let her explain; you just screamed at her and got so mad you burned and broke my mom's table! You need to apologize to her and listen to her story," Lucy paused to let out a deep breath.

She was so angry. She needed Natsu to see her point of view. "Look, when we started dating, I knew you and Wendy were a package deal and I accepted that. I view Wendy as my own sister and nothing she could ever do would change that. This whole situation doesn't change anything about my relationship with Wendy. I got upset when I found out but I could see that she was already beating herself up about it. You didn't listen to her last night. You just berated her and that isn't how you treat family, Natsu."

Natsu contemplated her words before sighing. "You're right. I'll go talk to her. Is she up?"

"I don't know. Ask Macao," she said, aggravation and disappointment coloring her tone.

"What?" exclaimed Natsu. "What are you talking about?"

Lucy closed her eyes and took a deep breath, wishing she didn't have to break his heart this way. "What I'm talking about is you, Natsu, and how your idea of tough love—" Lucy emphasized that with air quotes, "—only convinced your little sister that you were going to kick her out! I'm talking about you scaring Wendy so much that she left for Romeo's in the dead of night, crying because she truly believed you didn't want her around anymore!"

As Lucy spoke Natsu was frozen in disbelief. Did he really scare his sister that much?

As he tried to comprehend what Lucy said, she spoke again, "I will never understand what you and Wendy went through when you were homeless as kids, but I know it was exceptionally hard. I remember some of the stories you told me of how you stood guard over Wendy as she slept because you were so scared that someone would try to hurt her. Think about how she must have felt last night when you got so angry that you reacted physically, when you burnt and broke my table. I have a feeling Wendy wasn't just scared that you would kick her out, but also that you were mad enough to physically hurt her."

Natsu thought about what Lucy said. He couldn't believe he had scared Wendy so much. He felt like a horrible brother. "Is she okay?"

Lucy nodded.

Natsu sighed in relief. "I need to talk to her immediately. She needs to know—"

"No. Right now, she needs a break. We'll go over to Macao's at around 8:30 and talk to her then, okay?"

Natsu nodded and looked down at his hands. Lucy could tell he was upset. "Natsu, I know you're disappointed by Wendy, but she's still your sister. You need to remember that you are her only family. She looks up to you and last night, you treated her like she was a burden. You need to realize that, in that moment, you failed her as a brother."

Natsu's eyes started to water as he thought about everything Lucy had said, "Do you think she will forgive me?"

Lucy sighed. "I don't know, Natsu. That's up to her, but you need to let Wendy know that you still love her and admit that you messed up. Then, maybe she will…"

Natsu took a deep breath. "When did she tell you?" he asked out of curiosity.

"She didn't. At least, not willingly. I found the test."

Natsu nodded and, before leaving the room, Lucy said, "Go ahead and get ready. We'll go see Wendy soon."
