When the light faded from Ruby's eyes, she found herself in Forever Fall. The sky was clouded and bleak, the atmosphere silent and cold, as leaves flew by. Ruby could see a path in front of her, and she felt she needed to follow it. As she did, she grew uneasy due to her surroundings. A fog was also present, making the scenery more creepy. She would then hear laughter further on the path… The demon.

"SHOW YOURSELF!" Ruby demanded, but the only response given was more laughter, then the Nightmare spoke out, his voice echoing through this world.

"Ah- Ruby Rose… I've been expecting you to be here. Did you enjoy the little surprise?"

The leader looks around, with her sniper at hand. She can't help but feel uneasy hearing his voice, "SHOW YOURSELF!"

A shadow appears before Ruby, the form resembling Nightmaratack, his eyes glowing red, and an ear to ear white sharp tooth smile etched on his face.

"Ohhh Ruby… Miss me?" Nightmaratack said mockingly

"You!" She aims at his head, not afraid to shoot.

He holds his shadowy hands up, "I did not come here to fight… In fact… I came with an offer…" He disappears, then reappears behind Ruby, walking with his hands behind his back, "You see… I've learned much about you… Who you are, your hopes, your dreams… You chose your path, I chose mine." He fades from her view, coming from her other shoulder, "You wish to become a hero like those heroes in books…" He frowns, growing serious, "But let me tell you something that may change your mind on things…" He taps her nose and turns back, gesturing with his hands, "The people of this world, they'll love you for a little while. Idolize you… Look up to you… But the one thing they all love more than a hero…" he turns to her, with a serious expression, "Is to see one fall, fail, die trying. Despite your best efforts, your feats, who you are, where you came from, the good you've done, how far you've come… Eventually, the people will despise you, and wish for your downfall. Each and every one of them will be the same." He then teleports right in front of Ruby's face, jarring her, "But I can fix that if you join me. I can make all your dreams come true. They'll hail you as a hero, a legend. I can give you power and fame beyond comprehension… I'm a very generous man, after all." He states, putting back on his signature menacing smile.

It wouldn't take long for Ruby to give him her answer. A gun barrel can be found right in front of the startled Nightmaratack. "Here's my answer."

She shot, and the shadow disappeared in a puff of smoke, and a laugh was heard, "Fine then! Have it your way, hero! You were searching for your mother all this time… Won't this be a happy reunion! HAHAHAHAHAAA!" Ruby would then see a hooded figure approach, and the figure would slightly tilt her head up, her eyes being pitch black. Ruby would gasp in horror,

"Mom…" She said in a horrified tone. Summer didn't say anything in response, but instead, pulled out her weapon, and prepared to attack.

Summer spins her own axe weapon and readies herself. Similarly to how Ruby spins her own weapon before a fight. After a few tense seconds, Summer starts to attack. Ruby blocks Summer's first attack. But the older Huntress continues her attacks, with Ruby trying to back away and block everything Summer throws at her. Just then the white hooded warrior jumps up to shoot Ruby down. The young Huntress panics and uses her speed to avoid them and try to find cover.

Ruby jumps for cover and shoots back to defend herself. "Mom, stop! It's me! Ruby! Your daughter! Please!"

Summer wouldn't respond, and only continued to go after Ruby... Although Ruby could feel a slight shift in her mother. Knowing that, Ruby would take a risk and fight her one on one, up close and personal. Turning her gun back to her scythe as Summer does the same, and then they clash, almost like in sync. "Mom! Don't you remember me?!"

In retaliation, her mother would become more aggressive with her strikes. Ruby would keep fighting, parrying, dodging, trying her best not to have her limbs get lopped off. Summer's black eyes flared to life, mimicking the silver eyes, as she began to spin, using her semblance against Ruby. Her speed would increase, and she seemed to phase through reality, as a black trail left behind her as Summer moved. Luckily, Ruby adjusted to the new difficulty, pushing her mother back, and kicking her aside.

Ruby tries to use all of her semblance energy to out speed Summer to have her unarmed and have her see her. Summer would cut trees, and fling them towards Ruby, to which she had to rush to dodge. Ruby would clash blades with her mother, trading blows. She speeds her all around to confuse her, then keeps on attacking her until Summer lets go of her weapon, then Ruby bursts into speed and tackles Summer to the ground. "Mom! It's me! Ruby! Your daughter! Look at me!"

Summer would struggle underneath Ruby, her eyes full of hate, but Ruby kept speaking. "Mom… We've been wondering what's been happening to you for a long time! Please, come back to us! Yang and I have missed you for a long time, and everyone assumed you were dead." Ruby began to tear up, "Please mom… Please, fight the demon!" She exclaimed, clutching Summer's cloak. Slowly, Summer began to slowly stop struggling, and began to glow a silver hue, Ruby's eyes beginning to glow as Ruby cried. A hiss could be heard with the dark magic being lifted, and the control on Summer's mind broke, and Summer looked around, dazed.

"R… Ruby?" Summer asked, unsure of what is going on, and why Ruby looks… Older. The last thing she remembered was that she was fighting Salem, and a darkness washed over her, and it was like she was sleeping, and dreaming of such terrible things…

Ruby gasped. She froze once heard her mothers voice. The voice she knew when she was a little girl. "...Mom?"

Summer would then put her hands on Ruby's face to see if she's real. Even down to pinching her cheeks. "Are you...?"

"Ulm… Mum..." Then gets poked, "Mom! Seriously! I'm real! Ow!"

Summer then gasped, seeing that she is indeed real. "Ruby… You're..." She hugs her. "Oh, my child..."

Ruby felt her hug and recognized this feeling. This confirms it. This really is her Mom. Realizing this, Ruby's eyes begin to flood with tears. Ruby hugs her mom tightly, overjoyed she has reunited with her mother. Their moment would be interrupted, as they would hear hissing noises, as hundreds of phantom-like grimm swirl above the clearing where the mother and daughter fought, preparing to swoop in to strike. A portal would open up at the centermost part of the clearing, and they knew they had to make a run for it, or be swarmed

Ruby would look around. "Mom..."

Summer would ready her weapon. "I guess we don't have time for a proper reunion. Are you ready?"

"R-Really?" Ruby would be surprised to see this scenario actually happening before her eyes. This was her dream. Fighting Grimm with her mother. "I..." Just then she wiped all her tears from her face and spun her scythe around until she got in a fighting position. "I was born ready!"

They begin to fight their way to get to the portal, as the grimm screeched, using their claws to attempt to kill them, but they skillfully defended themselves, slowly getting to the portal gradually. Summer would then see a much bigger horde of Grimm that they can't overcome in time. Ruby shows worry, however Summer would smirk as she unleashes her Silver Eyes, engulfing all of them, as they are completely turned into stone. Ruby was in shock at how easily her mother just did that.

The two were getting very close to the portal, but would be jumped by an even bigger swarm of grimm

Summer would show some fatigue but keeps going. This is where Ruby jumps in front and uses her own Silver Eyes, and jumps away for Summer to mow her way through the frozen Grimm. Soon they would reach the portal and jump through. They both would fall and roll over, coming back to reality, as the portal closed, and the circle sank into the ground, and was covered. Irad, Olmotack and Oscar would look at them, all would widen their eyes,

"Summer Rose…" Irad states finally, dumbfounded.

She would get up and dust off her dress and notice him. "Hm? What do we have here?" She walks up to Irad. "I might be a bit disoriented at the moment. I guess sleeping for so long can do that to you. But I'm assuming you're Ruby's friend. Am I right?"

Irad nods, "Indeed… This is Oscar… Ozpin's uh…"

"Ozpin?" She walks closer to him and kneels to Oscar's size. She tries to contain her laughter, "I'm… Guessing this is a recent reincarnation..."

Olmotack looks away, "Yeah… A lot of things happened…" He stated, sadly.

She could tell his serious tone, then looked at her surroundings. "And… I believe this is Salem's home."

Irad shakes his head, "No… This is the tower created by the demon Nightmaratack. Salem is within the tower with the demon. He's worked with Salem in getting this far… It's a long story. Right now, Ruby's team is currently fighting the warriors that are keeping the gates closed. Once the gates are unlocked, I can command my forces to attack here. As you can see in the distance, Remnant's forces are attacking the army of grimm…"

Summer would digest all of the info and smiles. "I guess I have some catching up to do."

Irad nods, "Lots of things. But we will save it for later. For now, we wait, and hold the line, while the others get the gate open." With that, they all remain silent, and wait…

"Anyone got something to eat?" Summer asks, feeling hungry as her stomach growls, and so does Ruby,

"Yeah, anything we can eat?" At this, the boys sweatdropped.

"They are related alright…" Olmotack stated.
