Chapter 17

3 years later(5 days after goku left for Namek):

I sat in my seat. New companion by my side was a large crocodilian that was sitting in a small circular object made from the same material as the ship in what looks to be a doggie bed. It was black with a dark blue band that went over it's eyes and down it's face, ending where the mouth started. It has a bioluminescent saliva that causes it's mouth and tongue to glow a vibrant blue as well. The body is highly armoured, but it is also very sleek, having a build and scale structure very similar to that of a Cuban crocodile, however it sat at an impressive 4 feet and 195kg. Being slightly larger than most known Cuban crocodiles.

I had found this little guy when I was exploring a world with no sun, but instead was rotating around a gas giant around 8 times the size of Jupiter. Because of the size of the planet the gravity was over 2 times the gravity of earth and Namek. With no sun, all the creatures on the planet had evolved to glow in the dark to make use of sight and hunt effectively. I had not learned anything on this planet from any master as it lacked, though I did manage to hone my five senses learning to fight without using my eyes as my main source of finding my enemies.

I came across this crocodilian as I was finishing up my training on the dark world and after defeating him, I had the option of claiming him as my pet. I felt he was cute and cool enough to be my pet, and while he was very weak like the other inhabitants of the planet, I have been training him to grow stronger by using my illusion magic on him to have him fight pretend scenarios on the ship while we flew as well as feeding him well from all the meat from the other creatures of the planet he came from and others I harvested after killing them on other planets, he has grown fairly strong by normal standards of non ki using animals of this universe after having ideal conditions of a strong opponent and plentiful healthy food provided for him. This allowed for him to grow at peak performance as well as allowing me to train my illusion magic.

I also spent a good amount of time teaching him to understand and respond to certain queues I give him so that he can better understand and learn from me. He learned quite quickly for a reptilian, seemingly soaking up all the information I gave him and grew very smart over only a couple years under my care.

Sitting in front of me is the same potted plant from before, however instead of an empty pile of dirt, a small tree now stood, sitting at around 3 feet tall, it had grown decently m, relying only on exchanging energy with me, as well as the water I made for it using alteration magic, both I and the tree had grown a decent amount in strength, the power of the tree having risen to that of Vegeta's before he fights Zarbon a second time.

Smiling to myself, I pat him on the nose as I watch earth approach on the horizon through the window in the front of the ship. Making a rumbling sound that sounds like that of a beast much greater in size, the reptilian curls up in a ball and I mutter.

Me(in Namekian): "Ship, initiate Aura's safety measures"

'"Initiating"'

With that, a few bars come out of the floor and secure themselves around the Croc's body, each covered with special padding to ensure that the landing does not harm my companion. When the jolt of entering a planet's atmosphere rolls through the ship, I speak out once again.

Me(in Namekian): "Initiate landing sequence"

'"Understood, initiating landing sequence"'

Slouching back in my chair, I wait around 15 seconds before I feel the ship slow Dow and for me gently touch down onto the grasslands it chose to land at. Getting up, I speak up once more and say.

Me(in Namekian): "Open up Aura's seat and lower the hatch"

'"Understood, when all occupants are ready, the hatch will open and close automatically"'

Placing the plant in my inventory, I walk to the hatch behind the chair with Aura walking behind me like the big noodlely crocodile he is. In no time we find ourselves sitting in a grassy field under the nice sunny sky of the evening sun by the what looks to be Korin's tower and the forest that surrounds it. Deciding to have a little fun and scare the kitty cat Sage, I pick up my croc companion and place him on a carrier I made for him to fly behind me wherever I go and then I power up from my resting state of 10% of my power to my max.

It didn't take long to get to the base of the tower, being only 75 kilometres away. It took only a moment to reach it, and only a minute to reach Korin's home. I landed softly on the railing and sat down, waiting patiently for Korin's to show up and to invite me in. I felt it was what was not something I had to do, but it was the respectful thing to do.

I waited and waited, minutes going by and long after Aura had caught up to me, an hour has soon passed, growing impatient I almost decided to say fuck formalities and go downstairs to get the cat myself or to just leave when my super hearing picked up the faintest sounds of the tippity taps of a set of paws climbing up the steps that hung over the outside of the tower. Soon after, the signature cane and then ears and head of the sage appeared on the other side of the room, followed by the rest of him. Judging by his outward appearance alone, I may have been fooled into thinking he was calm and felt he held control of the situation, however I knew differently.

Sensing his Ki, I can feel it shake under the pressure of my power. Having had my fun for now, I let my power settle down to half of my current maximum, which seems to calm him down. With a gulp of air and a clearing of his throat, he says.

Korin: "And what can I help you with? It's not often I have guests"

Me: "Nothing much, I way just curious what was here and to find out where earth's warriors have gone, when I left there was 6 strong fighters on this planet and now none of them are here"

Realization seems to cross Korin's face as his eyes widen before his body language subtly relaxes a bit as he says with a sigh.

Korin: "Ah I see you must be the one Kami told me he was mentoring, as a random evil Namekian would not know of our world's secrets such as how many strong fighters we have. As far as where they went, 4 of them are dead and the other two have gone to Namek to revive those that have passed, as Kami has died, rendering the dragonballs here inert"

Nodding in agreement, I smile and say.

Me: "Yeah, I spent a good amount of time with the old geezer. He isn't too bad once you get to know him. Welp, if there isn't anything here besides you and Goku and the others aren't here I best take my leave, I guess it is not possible to see Kami right now either, I am glad he will return to us soon though. Do you know where the next strongest warrior on the planet is? Maybe I can meet with them and they can give my friend here a decent fight"

Pointing my thumb behind me to where Aura was sitting, taking a nap in the sun on his platform. Korin, clearly unsettled with the idea of fighting my impressive pet, pointed off into the distance, south east of where we were, instead of speaking what we both knew, which was that he was the current strongest on the planet, sans Mr. Popo.

Turning in that direction, I felt out for a power that was stronger than the average one and after a few minutes I found a power that compared to mine, was barely noticeably about the average person compared to my own. I was simply so strong the difference was irrelevant. However, sensing some decent entertainment out of this interaction, I decided to go and meet the person. Flaring my Ki, I fly in the direction of the power, Aura's platform following shortly behind me.

45 Minutes later(9:30pm):

Deciding to fly at a speed Aura can keep up with me, it took a lot longer to cross the near thousand kilometres to the warrior in question, but it was worth it to be able to live on the little chunky dinosaur. Landing on the small island the person calls home, I am not surprised to find myself at Kame house.

Landing, I walk up to the house as Aura's platform lands and he easily slides off and digs himself a hole to lay in and get comfy. I walk up and knock on the door and wait a minute before knocking again and waiting, but once again no one answers, I know a third time before I hear a voice ring out and say to hold on. A minute later I hear a flush and a person walking down some stairs before an old man opens the door.

Me: "Hello, I heard you are strong, I was wondering if you were interested in a fight"

Roshi cocks an eyebrow and says.

Roshi: "And who am I supposed to fight? Certainly not you I assume, as we both know you far surpassed me in power, I couldn't hope to do anything to you, and you are still suppressing your full power from me judging by what I felt when you first landed here"

Me: that is correct, I am way above you, however, my little friend here is only a little stronger than you, and I am feeling luck, so I figured to pass the time I would make a little wager with you. If you are up for it"

Roshi: "And what kind of wager do you have in mind? What can I benefit from this bet of yours?"

Me: "Well, I hear you are having trouble with the ladies, so I will give you a few pointers I learned on a planet called Asgard about what women seem to universally find attractive in men, so you will have the tools to move beyond being a basic creepy pervert as the locals seem to call you according to the rumours I have heard of you"

Nodding he asks.

Roshi: and what do you want should your scaly friend win? And what are the rules of this fight?"

Me: "If I win, I get to learn any one technique you know of my choosing. As for the rules, no lethal attacks, just a normal sparring match and the first to take longer than a three count to stand or is knocked unconscious is the loser"

Roshi: "Ok, and no offence but how do I know you will tell me these secrets if I win or if your friend there won't try and kill me?"

Me: "Well, how do I know you have anything worth teaching me? It's just going to have to be something we have to trust each other to honour the commitments made in the wager. That's the fun of it. As for Aura? He is a smart little guy. I will tell him that this is only a test, and you aren't his dinner"

Gulping audibly, he nods while muttering a that's real reassuring before he moves away from the door and onto the sandy beach away from his home, as I back up to give him space and he gets into a fighting stance. I look over from my position in front of Roshi and click my tongue in a clear and distinct way, having it as a command to give to Aura. Aura perks his head out of the sand and gets up before waddling over to me, coming up to me from my left side.

Once he was close enough to me, he bumped his nose against my hand to show he was here and ready to assist me. I held my hand a bit higher and curled my hand into a fist and brought it down with the pinky seemingly hitting an invisible barrier, like I had smacked my fist on a table, next I point at Roshi, then I laid my hand flat on this no existent barrier and wiggled my fingers, next I flexed my left arm and clasped it with my right before finishing off with opening my left fist and doing a dropping gesture in that hand with my right hand.

(Commands: Fight, him, play, win, reward)

Licking his maw, he sets his sights on Roshi and lowers his body, waiting for me to tell him to go, just like he does under the training with my illusion magic. I step away and say.

Me: "Once I give him his command by whistle to start you start Roshi"

Getting a nod from Roshi, I wait a moment and check their power levels to take a guess how I think this will go.

Me: 'Scouter'

!Scouter!

Roshi: power level: 139(normal)-180(full power)!

Aura: power level: 175!

Me: 'Dang, this is closer than I thought, I am putting faith in my scaly boy though!'

I give a sharp whistle and after a moment, Aura springs into action, sprinting impressively fast even for a being of it's power, seemingly not slowed down in the slightest but it's short limbs, it's long streamline form flowing through the air at breakneck speeds. Aura appeared in front of Roshi so fast, Roshi Thad little time to put up a defence against such a bold approach, only being saved by his many years of experience he was able to lean to the side to avoid a swipe of Aura's front foot.

Spinning in mid-air and landing on all fours, Aura skids backward a few feet before finding purchase on the sand, thanks to his wide webbed feet. Narrowing his eyes in frustration at seeing what he sees as his plaything get away, he seems to understand that this old man will not be as easy to catch as he originally expected.

Once again Aura charges and goes to pounce, causing Roshi to raise his guard, it turned out to be a feint as instead he flicks around in a spin and takes out Roshi's legs with a hard smack to the back of his ankles. Clearly shocked at the creatures battle intelligence, Roshi falls on his back with a grunt and Aura wastes no time and climbs onto him and begins to claw at his arms which Roshi brought up to hastily defend himself.

Seeing no other way out Roshi powers up to his full power buff form, which ends up forcing Aura off of him. Seeing his chance Roshi grabs Aura by the neck and tail and throws him hard into the sand. Taking advantage, Roshi begins to lay into Aura with all his might, knowing he can't use that form for more than a minute or one Kamehameha. Aura put up a valiant effort to survive, throwing sand in Roshi's eyes and clawing at his abdomen to force him to stop attacking and defend his vulnerable organs. However, Aura was on the losing end, accumulating many bruises and swollen joints along the way.

The fighting seemed to have been decided as Aura was having trouble defending against the onslaught when the last bit of sun went over the horizon and darkness overtook the surroundings. This was enough of a distraction for aura to slip away undetected, keeping his mouth closed to avoid leaving a glow that would reveal his location. In an instant, this fight went from a fight, to a battle of preset or and prey, and Roshi's reaction showed clearly which was which.

Roshi: "Dangit, I can't see a thing!"

Roshi looked left and right, unable to claim any sight of where his opponent was, he turned around and as he did, was when Aura decided to strike. Leaping into the air with a mighty roar, Aura landed on on Roshi's bulky back, clamping his jaws down on his right arm with enough force to breach the skin and a bit of muscle, but not crush the limb completely like he was capable of doing if he went all out. To ensure victory Aura viciously classed at Roshi's back to inflict as much damage as possible as fast as possible.

Roshi yelled in pain and tried to reach behind himself to try and tear Aura off of him but his efforts proved futile as his own muscles worked against him and soon a combination of the bite and clawing causes Roshi to collapse. Clicking my tongue once again, Aura who had already let go of Roshi returned to me and once again bumped his nose on my left hand, looking at me with a look that expresses a desire to be given praise and approval and affection.

Deciding he did well, I give his nose a gentle rub, as well as heal his wounds and then after a moment I go and heal Roshi, who had already been strong enough to sit up, though it was clear he was far beyond the three count to disqualify him. After a moment under my attention, his wounds disappear like they never existed in the first place. He looks at himself in awe and says.

Roshi: "That is some formidable healing technique you have there, it would have certainly been useful to have you for that alone when the sayians arrived here a few months ago"

Nodding I say.

"Possibly, however I had to tell the father of all living Namekians, including the one that is named Jami on this world, that my mission he created me for was done, I also took a bit of a detour on the way back to save a few million lives along the way"

Roshi: "Hmm, I see, well I am sure those that died would accept that, the more lives that do not know suffering the better. Now then, what is it you wish to learn? I know a many number of techniques. If you have any you know I am capable of I will teach you"

I smile as I gather Ki in my muscles and bones, similar to how Roshi did in just his muscles and I suddenly grow to ten feet tall and my power level nearly doubles.

Me: "No worries, I already learned it from watching you do it"

Roshi: "Incredible, to learn my technique, and even improve it is beyond genius"

I shrink back down to my normal size and say with a grin.

Me: "Well, I have been doing nothing but training the last 9 years it is only natural I am strong and learn fast"

The old master sighs and says.

Roshi: "It's too bad I lost, I was genuinely curious what wisdom you had to pass on"

Thinking it over for a minute, I decide to make a deal with the poor old man.

Me: "Well since you gave Aura here such a good fight, I will give you one piece of knowledge, and the most valuable one at that if you cook me and Aura a good hearty earth meal in exchange"

Getting a yell of happiness and approval from Roshi, all three of us headed inside and Roshi's began to cook.

2 hours later(11:30pm):

Setting the dishes on the table, Roshi finishes dinner, being some Miso soup, some chicken breasts with a brownish red sauce and chives on it as well as some chai tea and sets the food on the table. He sits down at the table and makes a plate of raw chicken on the floor for Aura, who wolfs them down immediately. With a tense expression on his face he asks.

Roshi: "So what is this secret to the ladies you will teach me, tell me!"

Laughing at his expense, I lift my hand to calm him and say.

Me: "It is really quite simple, there are four things you must remember. One, simply spend more time around women without sexualizing them. If it helps, imagine in your mind that the next time you see a woman, that she has nothing that you find attractive. Treat her like you would a man, in the fact that you are just two normal people that will just have a normal conversation. Second, then take the time to learn about her and what she cares about and show her you care by taking initiative in these passions she tells you about. This will show you care and are invested in her. Number two. Make her feel special and that you would do anything for her, thirdly, long term, do not sell away your morals for her, there is no woman that will stick around if the man compromises who he is for her. And lastly, take care of how you look, from your health to hygiene to how you dress, it all says things about you to a woman, so if you look or smell bad, you may give off an irreversible bad impression before you even talk to her, or even enter the room!"

Roshi takes a few moments to process what I said before letting out a sigh and saying.

Roshi: "Ah fine! But you are ruining all the fun of it! I just want to get a little puff puff!"

Suddenly Roshi got a red face before falling unconscious. I let out a sigh, disappointed that the master to one of the strongest beings in the universe can't even control basic hormones. Maybe I couldn't talk because I was such a horn dog myself in my past life, but at least I had some class! This old fool was just that, a fool. I was hoping he would be better as a real person than he was as an anime character.

Aura and I finished our respective meals and left, leaving Roshi having fallen backwards on the floor. I floated into the air and waited for Aura to get onto the plate form before taking off at a slow speed the device could follow me at.

2 hours later(1:30am):

After a long flight along the sea I cam across familiar lands where I called home what felt like eons ago. I fly inland always after finding a clearing just a bit off the ocean. I landed in a familiar clearing that hasn't seemed to have changed. I waited for Aura to land before putting his platform in my inventory.

I walked up to my home and saw the blacksmith area seems to have been roughed up a bit by neglect but was otherwise fine, deciding to fix it in the morning I walk into my home, which seems to have been well preserved, nothing seeming out of place. I let my quirky croc in the home and shut the door and walk through my meditation room and into the bedroom.

Feeling sleep take me, I use alteration to build Aura a simple bed to use for the night and swap the sheets and blankets with the universe's finest linens and furs and crawl in bed before quickly slipping into a deep slumber.

And that's another chapter! Didn't plan this one but I couldn't sleep and so I went from midnight to 3:30 am to do this chapter. Lemme know whatcha guys think. Peace out!
