Hello! Just like I said, here is another chapter! I love writing these, so you can expect to see a whole lot more Preyna. Again, please review! I love reviews! Let's vote in the reviews. Would Preyna make a good canon ship or not? Anyway, on to chapter 4! (Disclaimer: All rights go to Rick Riordan and his amazing imagination!)
Percy's POV
Percy knew he screwed up the second Reyna pushed him away. Did he just lose her trust, not long after he had finally gained it? Did he permanently close up that little gap of friendship that Reyna had opened toward him? He didn't know, and frankly, he was scared to find out.
During the kiss at the little Tiber, Percy had felt Reyna kissing him back. But just for a moment. Then she shoved him backward and ran off fuming and screaming.
In hindsight, he knew that kissing her was a dumb idea, even for him. She wasn't yet over Jason. How could she fall for a new guy all over again? And why had he done it when he still had Annabeth? At least he thought he still had Annabeth. No way to know until the greeks got there.
He hadn't seen Reyna yet that day, and while he was still in his room in the morning, he was anxious about the thought of seeing her in the mess hall for breakfast. After what happened last night, he didn't know if he would ever be ready to face her again. But eventually, he worked up the courage and slipped outside his room.

Reyna's POV
Reyna didn't know if she was furious or overjoyed after seeing Percy in the mess hall that morning. Furious over Percy trying to kiss her, or overjoyed that he wasn't completely trying to avoid her after that little stunt she pulled of pushing him away from her and screaming at him.
He stuck close to Hazel and Frank, trying to avoid eye contact. Once the three had sat down, Hazel and Frank started talking next to Percy. He turned towards her, finally. They locked eyes, his sea-green ones almost luring her into a trance. It was just like last night at the Little Tiber. Percy was leaning in closer... closer... She snapped out of her daydream, realizing that Percy was smiling at her. She blushed and Percy looked away, towards Hazel and Frank.
She hated and loved Percy for doing this to her. For making her feel so vulnerable, but being soo cute in the process. She sighed and turned back towards her half-eaten pancakes.

Same POV
Reyna sat on her "Praetor's throne" as the legionnaires had taken to calling them, thinking about the current events of her everso-hectic life, when none other than her topic of thought came in. Perseus Jackson slowly walked over to his seat next to hers, purposely averting his gaze. When he sat, he turned to look at Reyna. He looked so handsome with his touseled black hair and shimmering eyes.
"Percy-" Reyna started.
Percy cut her off. "No Reyna. I'm sorry. Sorry for acting so, so dumb." He shook his head. "I wasn't thinking. I was just caught in the moment, and..."
"Percy," Reyna said firmly. "I'm the one who should be apologizing to you. I didn't act fairly toward you and shoved you. I'm the one in the wrong."
They sat in silence for a moment before Percy said, "I know how I can make it up to you."
Reyna breathed out slowly. "And how is that?"
Percy smiled at her shyly, making Reyna's breath catch. "I will teach you how to fight- Greek style."
Reyna raised an eyebrow. "Greek style? What's wrong with the roman form of fighting?"
"Nothing! just thought it might be useful to learn a new form of combat!" Percy said.
"Fine." Reyna sighed.
"Great! Meet me at the practice arena at 5:00 a.m."
"Past curfew again," Reyna said. "Percy, just because we're praetors doesn't mean we can keep sneaking out all the time."
"Trust me! You won't regret this!" Percy called, standing up and walking out of the room. He stopped before he reached the double doorway. "I promise I won't do anything uncalled for again. Not like last night," he said.
Reyna didn't know if this was a horrible idea or not, but she still agreed with it. No turning back now, she thought.

Same POV
Reyna couldn't fall asleep that night. Eventually, she slipped out of bed about 25 minutes before 5:00 and then changed and headed out. She had a pit in her stomach, telling her that Percy would not keep true to his promise. But her heart told her that he would. She could trust him. Look where that got you last night, her brain told her. She shut all her instincts out and walked along to the arena.
This time, she was the first one there. Then she heard the slight sound of footsteps across the soft San Fransisco ground. She turned and saw Percy jogging towards her.
"Did anyone see you?" Reyna interrogated
"You're making this sound like a secret mission or something," Percy chuckled.
"Let's just get on with this," Reyna sighed.
"Ok," Percy said, walking over to the nearest practice. "Let's see how you fight first, and then we will work from there. Okay?"
"Alright."
Percy reached into his pocket. "Here, use Riptide. It will help you get used to using a greek weapon, but while fighting roman." Percy uncapped his pen so that it transformed into a celestial bronze sword. Way different than Reyna's usual spear. Nevertheless, she grabbed it from him and got into her starting formation. Then, she started slicing the dummy in horizontal and vertical lines. After a few minutes, Percy stopped her.
"OK," Percy said. "Time for some greek moves."
Reyna rolled her eyes as Percy took Riptide from her and made a jabbing motion at the dummy. If it had reflexes, it would've definitely been caught off guard. "That wasn't very clean," Reyna pointed out.
"Hey, it works," Percy shrugged. Here, you try."
Reyna took the sword again and attempted the move, failing miserably. "This is not a very organized move," Reyna said.
"Here," Percy said, putting a hand on her right shoulder blade. The sensation triggered shivers throughout her body. "Swing your arm back, then bring the sword in front of you."
Reyna obliged. It had worked. Though it didn't look graceful at all, the move was quite effective and would've been even better on a real opponent.
Percy taught her more various greek moves over the course of the next 15 minutes. Finally, he said, do you want to duel, now?"
"What?" Was Reyna's reply. "Oh, ok."
"You can get out your spear now, but you have to use those greek moves I taught you, ok?" Percy explained.
Once Reyna had transformed her ring into her spear, they started to duel. They jabbed and sliced, using only greek moves. Eventually, she could tell that Percy was starting to tire, but she kept at it. Eventually, she disarmed Percy and he was on the ground. He stared up at her with his stunning smile. "Nice! A roman beats a greek using his own methods!"
Reyna laughed. "I sure did." As she walked over to pick up Riptide, Percy stuck out his leg and tripped her, making her stumbled on top of him. She gasped.
"I guess I didn't teach you that trick," Percy whispered in her ear. She looked over at him. His shining eyes, and gorgeous smile. She leaned closer and this time, she was the one to kiss him. He wrapped his arms around her neck at hugged her to his chest. Suddenly, a horn blew.
"The greeks are here!"
That one was just a little longer, but I hope you liked it. Again, it ended on a little cliffhanger. So sorry about that! (HEHEHE.) Again, please review and answer the question mentioned above. Please give recommendations on anything I could do better, or add to the story! Bye!
