This is the fourteenth chapter, right? This is absolutely amazing that we have come this far! Thanks for all you do! I am so glad that you guys enjoy my story, even though it is my first fanfiction! Without you guys, I would not have come this far at all! Again, thank you, and enjoy the chapter! Shoutout to ramencat67 for reviewing! Disclaimer: I'm not a middle-aged man named Rick Riordan!
Reyna's POV
Reyna was slightly furious at Percy for trying to seduce her like he was. He had a girlfriend for Hera's sake! Reyna had priorities, and she didn't have the time or the love-sickness to spare in order to make Percy one of those priorities. Last night was, what? The third time he had kissed her? She wanted to scream. Her gut clenched as she walked towards the mess hall for breakfast. She despised the thought of seeing him that morning.
Her heart, however, was beating quickly, enticed by the thought of seeing the son of Poseidon. She was suddenly washed with a fit of burning jealousy for Annabeth, but it passed just as briefly. She stood, stunned at why she had just felt that kind of hatred towards Annabeth. She shuddered as she continued to walk towards the mess hall.
When she arrived, her brain eventually had won over her heart and Reyna decided that if she tried to avoid Percy, maybe he wouldn't romance her as much. She figured this seemed logical enough, and though her heart ached, Reyna didn't glance at Percy as she sat down in her usual spot.
When a venti approached and took her order for breakfast, Reyna longed to look at Percy and his sea-green eyes. Was he looking at her? Was he talking to Annabeth? Reyna didn't understand why, but she wanted to know.
A paralyzing thought struck Reyna as she battled between herself. I'm in the middle of a civil war with myself.
Reyna almost stopped breathing but gained control over herself, and sat a little straighter, just in case anyone had noticed her mini-mental breakdown.
Reyna didn't want nor did she need to be constantly battling with herself over Perseus Jackson. She certainly did not need that behavior when she was in the midst of entering a huge physical war that's outcome decided the fate of the world. I'm strong and capable, and certainly do not need a man, she told herself as her food arrived. She continued to eat with that mindset.
Percy's POV
As Percy ate his breakfast, Leo stood up abruptly. "I'm gonna go check up on Festus," he said, squinting his eyebrows.
"Aren't you going to finish your breakfast?" Piper asked.
"Uh, maybe later," Leo said, a little spacey.
"Are you ok, Leo?" Annabeth asked, looking at him intently.
"Yeah, fine," Leo mumbled as he walked away.
"What's with him?" Frank asked.
"And since when has Leo deserted his breakfast?" Piper asked, clearly confused.
"Maybe Festus told him something was wrong with the ship, and he had to go check it out?" Jason implied.
"From this far away? Not likely," Annabeth stated.
"I agree with Annabeth," Percy said. "I'm no expert on bronze dragons, but I don't think that they can talk to humans from this distance. Isn't the Argo ll in the Feild of Mars?"
Jason nodded, "You're right. Maybe instincts kicked in?"
Hazel shrugged, Piper looked genuinely worried, and Jason looked puzzled.
"I'm sure he's fine," Hazel said. "He's pretty resourceful from what I've seen."
The group waited another ten minutes or so before they heard an earsplitting explosion off in the distance. The mess hall instantly went still. Even venti stopped in their tracks.
"It came from the Field of Mars," Reyna said, standing upright.
"Maybe it was Coach Hedge doing target practice with the ballistae?" Piper said, not sounding too convinced.
"Guys, Leo went in that direction," Frank said.
The six demigods shared worried looks, then instantly knew what to do. Leo was in trouble.

Same POV
Percy raced across the camp, praying to the gods that Leo was alright. He had barely known the guy for a few days, but he seemed like a really good mechanic and a pretty funny guy. Percy might not have been as worried as Piper or Jason, but he was still deeply concerned.
Frank soared above him in eagle form with Jason in hot pursuit. Piper was hugging the son of Jupiter tightly.
"Guys, Leo's not alone!" Piper yelled.
Annabeth, who was running next to Percy, Reyna, Octavian, Hazel, and numerous other legionnaires, quickened her gait, as she clutched her dagger tightly. Percy had long ago uncapped Riptide but hadn't expected a full-blown fight. Monsters must have somehow invaded the camp unless Piper's eyes were playing tricks on her.
Once the large group had reached the field of Mars, they understood what Piper had meant. A few hundred monsters had infiltrated the camp. They were all surrounding the greek warship, which was now flying off the ground. Leo was onboard, frantically trying to keep the ship afloat and aim a ballista at a hellhound at the same time.
In the hoard of monsters were griffins, dracaena, small giants, Laestrygonians, cyclopes, hellhounds, and more. Percy gripped his celestial bronze sword and charged at a dracaena. She shrieked as Percy's sword speared her, but he knew that she probably wouldn't stay dead for long because the Doors of Death were still wide open. Luckily he, Hazel, and Frank had freed Thanatos a little while ago. Hopefully, the Grim Reaper would help the demigods out today.
Jason and Frank both landed on the Argo ll's port side. Frank transformed back into a Chinese Canadian guy and started knocking arrows into his bow and firing.
Jason yelled something inaudible to the son of Hephaestus, but Leo seemed to get the message because he flew the ship even higher off the ground.
Reyna charged next to Percy, her praetor robes flowing, as she slashed at the back of a cyclops's knee using a greek move. Percy wanted to compliment Reyna on her exquisite form but knew that he didn't have the time. The same cyclops nearly backhanded Percy into the grass as it roared in rage. Percy sliced the cyclops's chest as Reyna ducked between the one-eyed creature's legs and cut off his left leg with her golden spear. The monster bellowed as it disintegrated, but its cries were lost in the wind.
Jason began shooting greek fire at the group of monsters. Percy quickly glanced over to see Annabeth stab a Laestrygonian in the chest. It disintegrated just like the cyclops. He didn't know where Hazel was, but based on the groans and screeches on the other side of the hoard, he guessed that the daughter of Pluto was fairing just fine.
Soon, the monsters were reduced to nearly half their original group size, but the remaining ones were not intent on getting killed. A griffin flew towards some of the oars of the massive ship above them, in an attempt to break one off, but Frank managed to shoot it before it made contact. Percy blew out a relieved breath since those oars seemed to be the only thing keeping the Argo ll afloat in the air.
Two minor giants came charging toward Annabeth while she was counter-attacking a hellhound. Percy yelled out or her to watch out, and she managed to slaughter the big dog before turning to the quickly approaching giants, their scaly feet thumping.
"Hey ugly!" Percy shouted over the melee. "Why don't you stop cowering behind your friend and fight me!"
The giant that was considerably weaker than his blue-haired friend turned to Percy. "How dare you insult me, demigod scum!" The bright red-scaled giant roared as he nearly ran Percy over with a spear. Percy ducked just in time and began to summon water from the Little Tiber, which wasn't too far away. A low rumbling sound could be heard. It seemed to be coming from the Berkely Hills, but with a tidal wave of water rushing toward them, it was clear where the real source of the noise was coming from. Several legionnaires dived out of the way to avoid being hit by the quickly approaching water.
The wave hit the red-scaled giant in the chest and he fell on his back. His brother turned away from his fight with Annabeth and threw his spear over Percy's head, missing by inches.
"Nice shot!" Percy yelled, rising more water in hopes of giving the blue-haired giant the same treatment his brother had gotten. The arrogant giant was hit with a wave of rushing water and stumbled to the floor with a vicious-looking Reyna awaiting him. She stabbed the 8-foot-tall giant in the chest as the red-scaled one began to rise. Frank shot an arrow into the giant's arm and he stumbled. What followed was the same death his brother had earned, courtesy of the daughter of Bellona.
One of the last hellhounds came bounding behind Reyna. Percy could see in the mutt's eyes that he was out for blood. "Reyna!" Percy yelled.
Reyna turned just in time as the hellhound pounced on her. Reyna cried out but managed to stab the hellhound. She slowly stood up, and her arm seemed to be bleeding. "Reyna, are you ok?" Frank asked from the floating warship.
"I'm fine," Reyna said with a strained voice as she continued to fight the last of the monsters with her left hand which wasn't soaked in blood.
As the fifty or so demigods mopped up the remaining monsters, Percy saw Reyna wince as she swung her right arm. Once all the monsters were dead, one-half of Reyna's cape was completely damp with red blood.
"Reyna! We have to take you to the Apollo healers," Percy said as he ran towards her.
"I can tend to this wound myself, Percy," Reyna said, avoiding eye contact.
"Reyna, you're no medic," Percy said.
"I promise I'm fine," Reyna said, though she cried out in pain as she shifted her arm behind her purple cape.
Percy grabbed Reyna's left arm and gently led her away from the field. She tried to free her arm from Percy's grip but eventually gave up trying.
"You don't think I've had wounds before?" Reyna scoffed, still looking down.
"Reyna, you're a lot of things, but you're not a healer. I do believe you can tend to wounds, but this is a job for a pro."
Percy could feel Reyna's muscles soften under his grip. Once they had reached the mess hall again, two of Apollo's kids instantly knew what had to be done, and led Reyna towards the barracks, despite her assurance that she was ok. Percy could tell that these healers were surprised by Reyna needing to be helped. Reyna was normally independent and confident when it came to taking care of a task. But this time, Reyna needed help from others and not the other way around.
Percy stuck around in the mess hall until the other demigods returned from the Field of Mars. Annabeth saw him and ran to his side. "We couldn't find you and thought you had been captured," Annabeth panted. "Why'd you leave?"
"Reyna needed medical attention," Percy said.
"Reyna ask for help? That's unheard of," Frank said.
"She refused at first, but I convinced her otherwise," Percy explained.
Everyone was exhausted and slumped down into various seats. Percy even saw a few demigods fall asleep. Annabeth squeezed Percy's hand.
"How do you think all those monsters got in?" Percy asked. "They shouldn't have gotten through the Caldecott Tunnel."
Annabeth shrugged.
"So how did you know to leave?" Piper asked Leo.
"I had a feeling that something was wrong with the ship," Leo explained. "It was kind of hazy, but I knew that Festus was in danger."
"Well, if there's one thing that we learned from that battle, it's that the Doors need to be shut," Hazel said. "Some monsters had to be killed more than once."
A solemn silence followed Hazel's words. They knew that she was right. The Doors of Death needed to be shut.
