I'm back! Thank the gods, I got this out earlier than last update! Again, I apologize for that. I also apologize that this chapter is a lot shorter than my more recent ones. I'm just kinda stuck. Anyways, I don't have much to say today! Just make sure to review! I really love hearing from you guys and getting recommendations for what you'd like to see! So, please, please, PLEASE review! If you'd rather PM me, that works, too! Anyways, time for this chapter! (I already asked this, but I'm curious, who wants a rewrite of the earlier chapters?)

Disclaimer: I unfortunatley don't own Heroes of Olympus or Percy Jackson. :(

Percy's POV

"Done!" Percy threw his pen down on the wood and pushed his chair away from the table.

Reyna stared at him. "You finished quicker than I thought you would."

"Me too," Percy agreed, flexing his fingers. "I thought I'd never be done."

Reyna smiled. "I finished a few minutes ago. I just wanted to see how long it'd take for you to get it done."

Percy glared at Reyna. "Show off."

Reyna laughed. "The important thing is, we're done with all of our paper work for the week! I think…"

Percy started cheering but then realized what she had said at the end. "More paperwork?"

"Possibly." Reyna smiled that dazzling smile, and Percy wished he and Reyna could be kissing again. That kiss about 15 minutes ago had been one of the best ones of his life. A surge of passion had coursed through him, and he hadn't been able to help himself. He felt tempted to do it again, staring at her gorgeous features, but he figured that'd be a little overboard.

Reyna stood up, collecting all the signed papers. She placed them in their designated spot over by all of Camp Jupiter's trophies and medals.

"Well," Percy said. "What praetorly duties must we attend to now?"

Reyna narrowed her eyes. "I think we should check up on Terminus. Just to… make sure he's settled in alright."

"Settled in?"

"I just want to check on him," Reyna clarified. "And make sure he's not going overly crazy with the restrictions."

Percy raised his eyebrows. "Overly crazy with the restrictions?"

Reyna blew a breath. "I just want to make sure he's back to normal. We need all the protection we can get."

"Do we really want him to be back to nor-" Percy started

"Stop, Percy," Reyna snapped. "This is serious. It's the safety of our camp we're talking about! Is that a joke to you?"

The way she had said "our camp" would've made Percy happy, excpet the way she said it made him feel guilty. The way she had yelled at him shocked him as if he was a puppy being scolded by its owner.

He dropped his eyes. "No… sorry."

"Can you please take this seriously?" Reyna pleaded.

Her voice broke and Percy realized that she was seriously stressed. This camp was her only home, unlike Percy who had Camp Half-Blood. Behind that confident leader, Reyna was scared of losing her home to monsters. Percy could understand that, though he was still miffed over Reyna's chastisment.

Percy kept his eyes low and followed Reyna out of the Principia. Before they had walked out, two figures materialized right next to Reyna. Though, they weren't people, they were dogs. Aurum and Argentum were back.

Reyna gasped and crouched low to pet them. "Hey, boys!"

"Why don't they stay by you as often?" Percy asked, risking feeling Reyna's wrath.

Reyna looked back at him, her eyes softer. "The war. I've been sending them away to spy on Gaea's armies. On the off days, I'm not exactly sure where they've been going…"

Percy nodded. He was just glad that Reyna wasn't yelling at him anymore.

Reyna walked back over to the table where they had been sitting just moments before. She opened the jar of jelly beans, scopped some out with her hand, and threw them to her metal dogs. They barked and snarfed up the candy.

Reyna stared at them and smiled warmly. Percy knew she adored her dogs.

"So… Terminus?" Percy spoke up.

Reyna nodded, "Yeah. Let's go find Jason. I think he's teaching some lesson right now."

Percy nodded, and he and Reyna exited the Principia for real this time, Aurum and Argentum at Reyna's heels.

Percy liked dogs, of course, but Reyna's greyhounds were pretty intimidating. Intimidating like Reyna. He'd gotten to know Reyna to the point where she wasn't as scary to him. He supposed he just have to get used to the dogs as well.

Percy started walking on Reyna's right, on the other side of Aurum. The dog looked up at Percy, it's ruby eyes glowing.

Percy looked away, worried that the metal dog might attack him for no good reason other than to have a nice meal.

The two praetors and the two dogs walked passed the First Cohort's barracks, where some legionairres were playing Mythomagic. They smiled politely as the two officers strolled by, and Percy could've sworn he saw some whispers and giggles as they saw Reyna and Percy together. He blushed and looked away.

Reyna and Percy made their way to the arena, where Jason was teaching a lesson on offensive sword fighting. It had been an awkward walk. The two praetors had just made small talk the whole time. Percy feared he would upset Reyna again.

When Jason saw Percy, Reyna, and the dogs, he gestured for his trainees to continue practicing on their own. He jogged over, sweat glistening on his face and neck.

"Aurum! Argentum! You guys are back!" Jason exclaimed, croutching down to pet the greyhounds. They whined and licked him with their metal tongues.

Percy had forgotten how much the dogs loved Jason. It almost made him a little jealous as Reyna smiled down at the blond.

"So," Percy said, intentionally ruining the moment. "We're gonna go check on Terminus. You coming?"

Jason nodded, wiping sweat from his neck. "Yeah, let me end this class," he said, standing up. He walked back over and exchanged some words with the demigods. The class started to leave and Jason walked back over, his purple muscle shirt sticking to his body.

Percy was frustrated with himself for being jealous of Jason. Why did Jason have that he didn't? It's not like Reyna had any feelings for him anymore, right? He hoped so… But the way that Reyna was staring at him made him question that.

Percy started to head out of the arena, and Jason and Reyna followed, Aurum and Argentum staying behind with them.

Reyna's POV

As Reyna walked with Jason towards the Pomerian Line, she noticed that Percy seemed a little tense. She couldn't guess why. Was it the dogs? Was it the way she had snapped at him earlier?

She still felt bad about that. Percy was just trying to be funny, and she'd gotten angry at him. Sure, sometimes she wished that he would take things more seriously, but he was just being his usual witty self.

Reyna still wasn't completley sure why she had yelled at him. She assumed it was just built up tension being realeased. She felt safer now that Terminus was back to his old self. Now the border was back and hopefully nothing could get in. But she new that with each monster attack, the border got weaker, regardless of Terminus's presence or not.

"So, do you think that Aurum and Argentum with stick around for a bit?" Jason asked, trying to break the ice.

Reyna shrugged. "I hope so. I missed them."

Jason smiled. "I did, too."

Percy looked back at them and Jason frowned. "What's up with Percy?"

Reyna sighed and lowered her voice. "I got mad with him a few minutes ago. He was being trying to be funny, but I yelled at him."

"Oh," was all Jason said.

They finally made it to the point where they could see Terminus, and his assistant, Julia. He seemed to be searching for something, and by the looks of it, Julia had that something. She was runningaround playfully, and Terminus bore a confused expression on his stone face.

When Terminus saw the praetors, he immediatley tried to look dignified. Julia saw them coming as well and hid behind the statue. The praetors approached, and the bust cleared his throat.

"What can I do for you, praetors? Are you entering the city?" He asked.

Reyna hesitated. "We just wanted to check on you… Make sure you're doing okay after the eidolon/lemure thing."

Terminus scoffed. "Well, praetor, I'm doing just fine!"

Reyna nodded. "Okay... Do you need anything?"

Temrinus shook his stone head vigourously. "I'll remind you that I am a god! I don't need anything, though if you could get me some hands, that'd be nice."

"Uh, yeah, we'll work on that," Percy spoke up. "Are you sure you don't remember anything about being posessed?"

Terminus sighed exasperatedly. "No, praetor. If anything comes up, I'll let you know."

"Well... We'd better get going," Jason said. "We have, uh, praetor stuff to do."

Terminus nodded, eyeing Reyna's greyhounds. "Yes, yes. Just one question. Are those dogs registered?"

Reyna held back an eyeroll. "Terminus, I've had Aurum and Argentum for a long time. You remember them, right? And what do you mean, registered?"

"Uh, okay guys, let's head out!" Percy said, turning around. Reyna and Jason gladly followed him. As much as Reyna appreciated Terminus, he was, well, very OCD, and that could be hard to deal with.

"Finally! Downtime!" Percy cheered. He turned towards Reyna. "Unless we have anything else to do?"

Reyna shook her head. "Nothing until after lunch. We're going to do some rotations with the cohorts."

Percy nodded. "Should be fun."

The praetors walked back towards the main area of the camp, up the Via Praetoria. Reyna didn't really feel like talking, and by the looks of it, neither did the boys. Aurum and Argentum trotted on either side of her, loyal as always.

Thunder rumbled nearby. Reyna turned to look at Temple Hill, where Octavian must've been doing an augury. More thunder rumbled. Reyna wondered what the augur was consulting the gods over.

At camp, Reyna told the other praetors that she'd be in her cabin until lunch. She hoped that Percy would take the hint: She didn't want to be alone.

Jason left and Percy followed Reyna into her room. Her dogs were asleep in a corner. He shut the door behind them. "What is it?"

Reyna sat down in a chair near her bed. "I'm sorry for yelling at you," she apologized. She felt really bad about her earlier actions.

Percy just shrugged. "Hey, it's alright. No hard feelings. Though, are you okay?"

Reyna was confused. "What?"

"Were you yelling at me because you were stressed?"

Reyna hesitated, looking at her hands. "I suppose so. It's hard to explain."

Percy nodded, leaning against the door. "I get it. You're scared of losing this camp."

Reyna put one hand on her dagger hilt. She didn't know why. Maybe just the thought of losing her home made her want to stab something.

Reyna nodded. "Yes," she said tightly. "This place is apart of me. If.. If Gaea destroys it, I won't stop until I get revenge."

Percy's brow furrowed. "Hey, Rey?"

Reyna blushed at the nickname.

"Wait, is it okay if I call you that?" Percy asked.

Reyna nodded slowly. "Just you. And not in public."

Percy smiled. "Okay, okay. Anyways, whatever happens, I'll help you defend this camp. I won't let Gaea or her minions destroy it. Got it?"

Reyna looked at Percy. He was so sweet. What would she do without him?

"And I'm sure my friends from Camp Half-Blood will do the same. I'm pretty sure they've gotten attached to this place. Just like me."

Reyna smiled gratefully at Percy. "Thank you."

"I know we've already kind of covered this topic, but remember, you're not the only praetor anymore. Jason and I have got your back."

Reyna blinked back tears. She felt so… loved at that moment. She felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. Sure, she had already known that Jason and Percy would help her through anything, but hearing Percy say it made her feel better, and less stressed.

Reyna loosend her grip on her dagger. She relaxed her shoulders, which she hadn't even known were tight.

Percy stood up straight. He held out his arms to her. "Come here, Rey."

Reyna stood up and walked into his arms, hugging him back tightly. She held back a sob. Percy made her feel so comforted and appreciated. She just… She just loved him so much. This was possibly the first time she'd ever felt so much passion for someone.

Percy pulled her closer and kissed her neck softly. Reyna felt like collasping into his arms. Her face was probably super red right then. Could today get even better? First, kissing in the Principia, and now this?

Percy continued, leaving soft kisses on her neck, and continuing towards her jawline. He lead his lips towards her ear and kissed her earlobe. Reyna shivered. His breath on her skin made her feel amazing.

"You feeling better?" He whispered into her ear. It was so quiet, Reyna could barely hear it.

She nodded slowly. She definitley wasn't feeling as tense.

Percy pulled away and dropped his arms. He smiled adorably at her. She admired how he looked in his Roman armor and cloak, the outift of a praetor.

Just a little while ago, she had wanted to stay as far away from Percy as possible. She had despised that Percy was trying to romantisize her. But now, she wanted nothing more than to be with him all the time.

Of course, the independent leader part of her still wanted Percy to stay away, but pleasure outweighed that.

Reyna blinked, being lead out of her trance. Suddenly there was a knock at her door.

She cursed. "Percy! Hide in my bathroom!"

Percy dove into her bathroom, shutting the door as Reyna went the see who was knocking.

She opened the door cautiously. "Yes?"

Jason was standing there, looking really confused. "Uh, hi. Is this a bad time?"

Reyna shook her head. "No! Uh, come in! Come in."

Jason awkwardly stepped in, dressed in the same regalia as Percy and her.

"Okay, I'm just gonna say this. And this is in the most friendly way possible, okay?"

Reyna nodded slowly. Her comrade was acting weird…

"Okay, is there sometthing going on between you and Percy? Because I'm feeling like a third-wheeler praetor, here."

Reyna was too stunned to answer. Had they been neglecting Jason that much?

Reyna straightened her back, putting on her most professional face possible. "No. No, not at all."

Jason hesitated, but nodded. "Okay. Sorry, I was just-"

"Hey, it's alright," Reyna said. "I get why you… feel that. But seriously. We're just friends. Besides, he has Annabeth."

"Yeah, of course," Jason said, though he didn't look super convinced. "Okay, I'll leave you alone. See you at lunch?"

Reyna nodded. As soon as Jason left, she let out a huge breath.

Percy slowly exited the bathroom. "You think we should tone down the flriting?"

Reyna gave him a sharp look. "You think?"
