Winds of Change

Chapter 14

AN: Hello all, it's been a while. Firstly as always thanks to everyone who reviewed, favorited and followed the story. To be truthful I hadn't realized it had been so long since the last update. I had the first scene of the chapter down for a while but I wrote the rest of it over the last week. Now for those wondering why I switch scenes so often it is because I view the story in the context of a show, where it isn't just one characters POV all of the time. Sometimes I do character focused stuff but that happens randomly. Anyway here is the new chapter. Also as always check out the version on AO3 for character pics.

Start Now:

Eddard Stark sat silently as he eyed the sea from the window in his cabin and though he watched the sea he didn't actually see it. The reports that he'd heard about his boys in Valyria filled him with pride as both Robb and Jon had performed far ahead of what anyone could have expected of boys so young and in such a situation. Despite their youthful appearance the two boys were more powerful than many grown men and from the reports he'd gotten had been pushing each other constantly and consequently dragging Aegon along in their steady improvement over the years.

Not only that but they had surrounded themselves with friends and pushed all of them likewise. Daenerys for instance in their last life had relied on her dragons, Unsullied and Dothraki for protection but had now grown into a remarkable warrior in her own right. He'd heard tales of her actions in Valyria as well and her praises were being sung to him just as much as Jon's and Robb's as was the case with Aegon and Rhaenys. Even his young cousin Broden was receiving praise for how he handled himself in Valyria despite the fact that he'd stated multiple times that they should leave the place behind. Broden had been the first one to board the ship when they left and stated if anyone ever tried to get him to go back they would have to deal with his grandmother and even Ned himself wasn't willing to deal with his aunts temper on that matter.

He knew that word would soon spread, there was no stopping it as this had been the first successful journey to Valyria in hundreds of years and they'd left with more spoils than he honestly knew what to do with. Thankfully there hadn't been much of a fight about that, Jon suggested giving each ship one chest of gold which he'd agreed with and even further each crew member had gotten a Valyrian Steel weapon and while most had chosen swords some had chosen spears or axes instead. With that much gold and new Valyrian Steel weapons around it was impossible for the story of this trip to not be spread. Furthermore they had taken several of the bodies of the dead creatures for study. Only a few would be going North though, some would be dropped in Pentos, others in Volantis, some in Dorne, some in Sunshire and some in Oldtown and he had no doubt the sight would horrify those who would be made to study them. Hopefully they would not only be studied but deter others from trying to venture into Valyria for the time being, especially as they'd only taken a small fraction of what was available.

None of that however is what truly plagued his thoughts, instead that honor went to the situation he currently found himself in. They were reaching the starting point of when things initially went downhill and as such another war was set to begin. With the knowledge that the heirs of Rhaegar lived he knew the Crownlands would be divided as many houses would pledge themselves to the Dragon once more, especially after the willful neglect they'd been shown under Robert's rule. Some would back the Lannisters or Baratheons but those were the ones that had been shown favor in the time since the Rebellion.

Of course it wouldn't just be Stannis and Joffrey as Victarion Greyjoy would undoubtedly crown himself much as his brother had in the last timeline. Including Jon that would be four people vying for the Iron Throne. Jon would undoubtedly win, after all he would have far more strength backing him but what would happen after. The North had gotten used to being independent and no longer needed to rely on the Southerners for food, his people would not accept him giving up the crown. They would need to figure out a plan for how to handle that as their focus needed to be on the Long Night that was set to begin once more.

Jon and Robb would need to be made ready before any of that though. While Valyria was a great start, it was still only just a start. They would need much more experience than just Chuidan had offered them, especially for the Wolves to follow them. Unfortunately he couldn't send them to Essos, while it was filled with challenges they had purposely not made any moves in that land in an effort to not take away from Daenerys ability to build her reputation. Of course things had changed, and he doubted Daenerys would be alone this time so perhaps Jon and the rest of his ladies would indeed head to Essos.

Aemon Targaryen had embraced his restored youth and reveled in the return of his sight. Though born the third son of a fourth son he'd still been a prince and as such afforded both the education of a Lord and training in arms though had not been pressured into arms training like his elder brothers or many of his cousins and instead been allowed to indulge in his passion for learning even before he'd sacrificed himself and gone to the Citadel to train as a maester. His father Maeker had not trusted the maesters and after informing him of his plans and suspicion offered him the choice. Duty had compelled him in order to help his family and he'd headed to the Citadel at only ten years old with his father offering up the excuse that too many Targaryen heirs was dangerous.

Aemon had many regrets from his life, but his restored youth had given him the opportunity to rectify that. He'd returned to his training in arms which was now overseen by Ser Gerold Hightower and had also taken the opportunity to indulge in other pursuits his vows forced him to miss in his life, those of a more carnal nature. Unfortunately he'd once more had to put his personal pursuits aside, Rhaegar had been summoned to the capital and had asked that he accompany him as an advisor. He was not alone in the role as Rickard Stark and his niece Rhaella were also travelling as advisors and had been accompanied by a large contingent of guards led by Ser Gerold.

With the exception of Aemon himself everyone else had aged very little or not at all since they first came to this land. This was a good thing as the continent of Yodai was a large place, several times the size of Westeros and as such travelling to the capital was a trip that took time. They didn't complain though as it was the first time many of them had ventured outside of Sunshire and as such they were taking the opportunity to take in the sights, though they'd mostly seen the countryside. They had stopped or travelled through a few towns on their journey, but they'd kept to the road for as long as they could.

Thankfully their progress was not slowed by a wheelhouse as Rhaella was on a horse same as everyone else. Rhaella was one who had changed the most aside from Aemon, she had been training just as much as everyone else and it showed. In the 7 decades worth of time she'd spent in Sunshire she'd become a master Firebender and an incredible swordswoman, with Dark Sister secured at her side she appeared as Visenya reborn. While they could have made the trip quicker on the back of their dragons the non-dragon riders among their number made that impractical, though the dragons were never far from them as they flew overhead.

Regardless they'd made good time and arrived within the capital within just two months of travel. The capital city Achaia dwarfed anything they'd been expecting and was perhaps three times the size of Sunshire, which itself dwarfed Kings Landing. In terms of architecture the city seemed to be a marriage of Valyrian and Chuidian design with pagoda style buildings made of stone with wooden pillars and roofs many of which rose 15 and even 20 levels.

"The upper most levels are perches" said their city guide Kukimi in High Valyrian.

Their guide was a beautiful woman who wore the deep blue garb of a water priestess though in a cut much different than any he'd ever seen. Her outfit was amongst the more traditional outfits called a kimono only she wore an armored version with a sword at her side. While she looked perhaps at most 17 Aemon wouldn't put it past her to be older than he was considering how the natives seemed to age. She had long silver hair that she wore in a bun at the top of her head and had dark eyes that told him she had some Valyrian ancestry. She'd met them at the southern entrance to the city and been giving them something of a tour as they made their way through.

"For dragons?" questioned Rhaella.

"Yes. As you know when those who survived Valyria escaped to this land they did so on the back of their dragons. As such when some of these buildings were constructed the upper most levels were made to accommodate the dragons, features that are still used today." Explained the young woman before stopping her horse.

"We are near the palace. From this point forward we must speak only Chuidani, that goes for your guards as well. When we arrive at the palace gates you will be permitted only four guards the rest will be shown to quarters that have already been prepared. You and your advisors have been provided quarters of your own further in the palace and as guests of the Emperor your security will be seen to by the palace guard." Said Kukimi.

Chuidani, the language of Chuidan was one of several languages spoken on the continent of Yohai. Chuidani was considered that Imperial language as it was the Chuidanian's who established the empire during the Warring States period and have maintained that position ever since. Achaia had been made the capital city as it was in the middle of all of the territories. There were four other major languages spoken those being High Valyrian, Otrelan, Nosmili and Tisani. With the exception of High Valyrian the other languages were all spoken by the separate major countries even prior to the Warring States period. When the Empire was established the first Emperor advocated the learning of each language and customs to the other countries since the wars were caused by language issues or a slight due to an unknown custom.

As a former maester and someone who'd always had a passion for learning Aemon had studied the history of the land extensively since his arrival and could even speak all four of the major languages, Valyrian being his mother tongue he didn't count. They rose for several minutes longer before stopping once more on a hill getting their first look at the palace. Unlike other buildings this one was completely traditional in its appearance with red pagoda style roofs and white walls. Three stone bridges separated the castle from the rest of the city with a well-maintained lawn with numerous trees scattered around it. It was a beautiful place, much different from his memories of Dragonstone, Summerhall and Kings Landing. Winterfell also fell short of this place in terms of beauty, though each of those places had a beauty all their own.

Riding down the hill they found that the palace was not that separate from the rest of the city as even walking it would only take a few minutes to reach the palace on foot. Guards were posted in front of each bridge and when they reached them the Targaryen/Stark guard were directed to take the left bridge to their quarters. The four staying with them would be Ser Gerold himself, Laynar Velaeryon, Crodell Tallhart and Alerah Celtigar. It was not a bad team, two guards for Rhaegar, one of Rickard and one for Rhaella. Aemon himself didn't warrant guards, though knowing his nephew he would insist one of his guards cover Aemon himself in case of an emergency. While he was not the equal of most warriors with a sword he'd been in Sunshire long enough to become a master firebender even before his revitalization, so he was far from helpless.

Once they were across the bridge they dismounted and allowed their horses to be led to the stables. Aemon was glad to be free of the saddle, his legs had begun to feel numb some time ago and as such he was happy to be back on his own two feet. They were soon led to their assigned quarters which were close together and Aemon was thankful to find a hot bath already waiting within his own. Before making use of that he made a quick check of his room and finding nothing amiss slipped out of his clothes and into the bath for a relaxing soak.

It was nearly two hours before they were summoned to meet the Emperor, time in which they'd all managed to bathe and change into fresh clothes. The three Targaryen's were all in outfits in their house colors with Rhaegar wearing a black kimono and hakama with a red belt holding the top closed. Rhaella wore a black kimono that went past her feet decorated with red flowers and was held closed by a red obi. Aemon was dressed much the same as Rhaegar only his clothing was red and the belt was black. Rickard was also dressed similarly to the two men only his kimono was grey with the black hakama. The only thing off about their outfits were the weapons they carried even still, rather than carry the weapons native to Yodai they carried their own weapons, Rhaegar with Blackfyre and Anduril on his back, Rhaella carrying Dark Sister at her side, Rickard carried his axe Frostwind on his back and Aemon a nameless Ethium longsword that he'd named Oathkeeper.

Not everyone could carry weapons in the presence of the Emperor but as nobles they had that right. Furthermore in a land were most people practiced magic even amongst the lowborn traditional weaponry was not viewed as too threatening. Most people on the continent had stopped carrying traditional weaponry with magic such as Bending to call upon. The same could not be said of the warrior class as traditional weaponry were still in high usage and looked upon favorably. Each country on the content had their own name for their warrior class with the own weapons, though things had spread to each of the countries since the time of the Empires founding.

Rather than be led to the throne room they were led to a rather beautiful garden adorned with Sakura trees along with low cut grass and an abundance of different flora and fauna. The Emperor was deep into the garden within a gazebo. He was a man with long hair whitened by age, a matching beard with shrewd brown eyes and wore blue robes with golden accents with billowing sleeves. Despite his age the man held himself like a warrior even now.

"Your majesty, I present Prince Rhaegar of House Targaryen, his mother Dowager Queen Rhaella and his uncle Prince Aemon. Alongside them is Rickard Stark the former King of Northern Westeros. I present to you all His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Naritono..." Said Kukimi only to be stopped when the man raised his hand.

"Enough with that already child why do you think I chose this venue. Come sit, all of you." Said the Emperor.

As they sat a nearby servant approached and poured tea for each of them before stepping back to his previous position.

"In the short time your people have been in this land you have accomplished much. What you've done in Sunshire in less than two centuries has made many people take notice." Said the Emperor

"I didn't think we'd done anything out of the ordinary." Said Rhaegar.

"For someone who'd lived here all their life it wouldn't seem so. You came from a foreign land, learned our languages and customs, mastered Firebending and took over the governance of Sunshire and flourished in the role within less than a decade. That was just you on your own, not even factoring those who arrived with you or those who came later." Said the man.

While this meeting was happening Arya Stark could be seen looking out at the sea from a pier. Her memories from her previous life had come in recently and to say she was having trouble adjusting would be an understatement. Though the events of that past had not happened in this life she'd found herself reciting the names of The List almost on reflex. She'd asked Naruto to train her out of pure frustration and had been assigned the task of first cooling her temper.

It helped that even though she was technically only seven years old physically she was 10 and mentally she was much older thanks to the way time worked on the island. In that time she had become quite used to the practice of meditation and had come here as the sound of the waves helped to calm her, or it used to, but considering she'd drowned in her last life it wasn't having as strong of an effect as it previously had.

"I thought I'd find you here."

Turning to the voice she was greeted to the sight of her grandmother who came and sat down beside her. As she sat the older woman pulled Arya into her side and the younger girl embraced it leaning into her. She hadn't had such a figure in her last life and those memories made her appreciate her grandparents even more than she had before her awakening. Between her grandmother, aunt Lyanna and the vague memories she had of aunt Branda the young girl realized that she really had inherited the Stark look as all three women had the same long face, brown hair and grey eyes that she possessed. The teasing she remembered enduring from Sansa and Jeyne was suddenly worth far less.

"So I hear you asked Lord Naruto to train you." Said Lyarra.

"I want to be strong, stronger than I was before." Said Arya.

"Well you've certainly caught his attention." Said the woman causing her to perk up a bit.

"Lady Hinata came to us with an offer because of that. While it has no bearing on any future training it does concern you." Said Lyarra.

"What kind of offer?" questioned Arya.

"You remember the true nature of Lord Naruto?"

"I remember." Said Arya, with her memories intact she doubted she'd ever forget their first meeting again.

"Lady Hinata, Lady Sakura, Lord Sasuke, Lady Tsunade and Lord Jiraiya are all the same." Said Lyarra causing her eyes to widen.

"Lady Hinata has offered us a form of immortality. First they will strengthen our bonds to our direwolves and when we die we will be reborn as immortals with the ability to shift between human and direwolf forms." Said the woman stunning her granddaughter.

"That is not all, they will create a place for us in the spirit realm where are descendants will go at the end of their mortal lives. While we won't be able to immediately come back to the living world as we know it we will eventually be able to return." Explained Lyarra before pulling back so she could look the girl in the eye.

"There is a catch. While she would like to do this for us just based on friendship she doesn't have the power to. As such she has offered us a deal, in exchange for what she has offered us she wants to add at least one member of Houses Stark, Martell and Targaryen to their family."

With her memories intact combined with the time she'd lived it in this time manipulated land it did not take much for Arya to understand what this exchange actually was. Granted there were not many other meanings she could come to with the term add to the family involved.

"So like grandma Rhaella did with aunt Tsunade and uncle Jiraiya." Said Arya getting a nod from her grandmother.

"Sansa is going to be even worse than she was when she thought she would marry Joffrey." Said Arya frowning.

"Not Sansa." Said Lyarra causing her granddaughter to look at her in confusion before her eyes narrowed in thought before they shot open in surprise.

"Me?! She wants me to…I'm not that pretty, I mean I don't even want to get married." Said Arya.

"It won't happen now. Decades will pass for you before it can happen. Besides you can also say no and nothing will change." Said Lyarra

'But if I say yes everything changes. Even if something horrible happens to some of us, that won't be the end. If things go wrong right now we won't get another chance to change things again, it will just be the end.' thought Arya.

Things were moving too quickly, at least they were to the mind of the current Three-Eyed Raven. Jon Arryn due to his constant maneuvering of Roberts bastards had realized the truth entirely too early. Unlike his predecessor he didn't particularly like manipulating the minds or actions of others and had in fact been actively avoiding doing just that since he assumed the role. Luckily Jon hadn't made his knowledge known to anyone just yet though he'd begun putting together a plan to use his newly realized knowledge. Unfortunately the man's plan was a good one and if left alone was one that would not only succeed but lead to Robert Baratheon having legitimate heirs, something which could not be allowed to happen.

Of course even if he interfered slightly it still wouldn't be enough as the man had too much evidence on hand and would just wonder how he'd forgotten. Luckily there were some wolves planted in Kings Landing which would make disposing of the evidence possible. Reaching out to them would actually be quite easy thanks to the reemergence of the weirwood trees across the continent allowing him to project both his thoughts and his image to others. Most of the upper-level wolves knew he possessed this ability, though only Brandon and Eddard Stark knew that he was the current Three Eyed Raven aside from Lord Jiraiya.

Reaching out he contacted the leader of those in Kings Landing informing them of what he needed done and was assured that it would happen. As for Jon Arryn well he would soon find himself incredibly busy with a huge amount of work which would allow him to remove the revelation concerning Cersei's children from his mind much more easily. As an afterthought he reached out connecting to the minds of the Lannister twins and made them forget about Jon Arryn's discovery.

That would allow things to get back on track, it was a shame the man had to die the way that he would but he kind of deserved it as well with all of his scheming. That left him to get back to what he was doing before he was distracted by Jon Arryn, finding a spouse for his son. Sending him to Sunshire had already ensure that he would reach adulthood and not die at the hands of a wight, it subsequently secured the relationship between Bran Stark and his daughter as well. His son was proving harder to find a good match for his gift of sight would not be understood by many, perhaps a descendant of the Gardener Kings, the Reach certainly had enough of them. With that thought in mind the man known as Howland Reed turned his attention further south.

Rhaegar had not known what to expect from their meeting with the Emperor, what he had expected was to only spend an hour at most with the man. Instead they'd spent several hours in his presence discussing all manner of subjects. When the subject of his children and their growth had come up he'd been careful to shift the praise to their teachers and trainers. The conversation was ended when a new figure arrived a young-looking man in a red kimono covered in armor approached flanked by several guards catching their attention.

"Lord Sozin, what brings you here?" Questioned the emperor.

"Your time is over. I wanted to do this peacefully, but you turned down my offer leaving me with no other choice." Said the young man looking over the group before looking around the area at the guards.

"Kill them all." Said the young man before turning and walking away.

At his command the palace guards drew their weapons, all of them drawing swords of varying types. In response Kukimi drew her sword along with Ser Gerold, Aemon and the remaining three guards. The palace guard surrounding them numbered at least fifty meaning including himself, his mother and his goodfather they would need to take out five guards a piece with a few people taking out a few extra.

"Such hubris." Said the Emperor.

Without even moving from his seat he shifted his foot and earth pillars erupted throughout the area without warning slamming into many sending bodies flying in almost every direction. Turning to look at the emperor they found the man was covered in sweat and panting.

"I may be old but even poisoning my tea will not be enough to bring me down to your level." Said the man.

"We need to get him to a healer." Said Kukimi.

At that Aemon made his way over the man placing down his sword while his palms lit up with green energy. He held them to the man and slowly his breathing began to get better.

"That's the best I can do. I've made the poison inert, but it's done serious damage to his organs. He'll need more help than I can provide to survive." Said Aemon

"The palace is compromised; I doubt we find any aid for him inside." Said Ser Gerold.

"Our own forces are no doubt engaged as well." Said Rickard.

"Mother can you take him to Lady Tsunade?" questioned Rhaegar.

"I will not leave without my daughter." Said the emperor.

"I'll get her." Said Kukimi before looking at the group once and running off.

"Laynar, Alerah go with her." Said Rhaegar causing the two guards to quickly take off after Kukimi.

Working together Rhaegar and Ser Gerold moved Emperor Naritono to an area where there was more open space. When they reached the area his mothers dragon Morning was already lying there, she was a huge creature measured at just over 250 feet the last they checked with a wingspan of 300 feet. She was beautiful with bright pink scales and eyes with black horns and spikes that ran down her spine and tail. She'd undergone a bit of a transformation when Naruto had used his magic to adjust her to what she should have been giving her an additional pair of legs, boosting her intelligence, and giving her the ability to speak, though the last one she could currently only do over the bond as she couldn't yet physically do that.

Regardless thanks to their bond Morning already knew the situation and positioned herself to make it easier for Rhaella and Naritono to climb on. Once they were on the dragon took to the skies and towards Tsunade in the village of Fayeview. Rhaegar watched them go until they were out of sight before turning his attention back to those who remained.

"So liberate the palace or leave?" questioned Rhaegar slipping back into the Westerosi common language.

"Well it would be rude to leave after such a display." Said Rickard reaching back and freeing his axe.

"That is true however we are at a severe disadvantage numbers wise. For that man to be so confident in his betrayal he must have replaced the entire guard. I believe we should secure the princess and meet up with the rest of our men to before we determine a course of action." Said Ser Gerold.

With an agreement from Aemon the four men and the final guard Crodell Tallhart began making their way from where they came to the entrance of the gardens. As they made their way through the palace they could see bodies lying everywhere in pools of blood, with wooden shoji doors and walls torn apart from where bodies went through them. The sound of combat soon reached them, and they found themselves rushing through the halls until they came to the scene of a number of the palace guards clashing with the several Wolves. Trading looks between them the men quickly moved forward to join the fight.

Rickard Stark was a large man, at 6'5" he toward over many with only a small few surpassing him in height. Because of this when he literally leapt into the battle the eyes of the traitorous palace guards went wide in shock. When he hit the ground it was with the blade of his axe doing so first the results of which caused ice spikes to emerge from the ground impaling the three enemies closest to him several times over.

Rhaegar entered the battle much more calmly drawing Blackfyre smoothly and sidestepping the the blade of a jian and cutting through his attackers neck in a single motion. As he waded into the battle Ser Gerold was right behind him dispatching any who tried to attack Rhaegar from behind, though rather than use his sword he was barehanded countering attacks and using his hidden blades at the last moment to put attackers down.

Deeper into the compound the man called Sozin flanked by ten men stood before a young lady who by her appearance could be no older then fifteen. She stood at 5'5" and wore a kimono style top that appeared to be made of leather with a pair of black pants and had deep grey eyes with long black hair held up by blade-like ornaments resembling a crown.

"This is a very poor jest." Said the girl.

"My actions while regrettable were necessary Princess Himari. With the deaths of your father and your siblings you are now the sole heir to the kingdom. Our marriage will be the only thing that keeps our nation from spiraling into a war." Said the man.

"I knew you were ambitious Sozin, but I didn't take you for a fool. There will be neither a war nor a marriage, I'll kill you right now." Said the princess.

"Himari your threats are both empty and unamusing. Despite all of your training everyone knows you are not a talented bender." Said Sozin with a smirk.

The smirk was wiped from his face when she whipped her hands, and it was only instinct that had him leaping back as she sent two spinning disc of bright blue fire around the room cutting the heads off of his men in an instant. Her right arm came forward with her index and middle fingers extended before a narrow blast of flame shot forward towards him. Dodging the fire he settled just in time to see her rocketing towards him with jets of flame expelling from her feet. Sending a blast of fire of his own he was surprised when instead of dodging to the side she leapt and flipped over it sending a blast of fire at him from her foot.

Diving to the side to avoid the flames he looked up to see her land and slapped the ground. In an instant she was encased and a block of stone leaving only her head exposed. Before he could do more than stand he hastily brought up another pillar blocking the sword strike that would have caught him from behind subsequently causing the blade to break. Looking behind him he found Kukimi and two others that should have been dead and frowned. As they spread to box him in Sozin took a breath before stomping down and pushing both arms causing three large walls of earth to emerge and rush towards them. They responded with attacks of their own shattering the walls but were surprised to find the man was gone once they did.

The fighting lasted for nearly two hours during which time the Fangs of Fenrir proved their true worth. Despite the surprise nature of the attack they suffered no casualties though several were injured during the fighting. The quality of their weapons were clearly superior as all of them wielded Ethium weapons which could be enhanced by magic. Rhaegar had amazed many with his prowess as not many had ever actually seen him in a real fight but the knowledge that he'd been the first student of Lord Sasuke had meant the bar was set quite high. Rhaegar had not disappointed as he found with a combination of speed and power that displayed his proficiency. Seeing Rickard Stark in action had also been a rare treat as the former King of the North showed that he was still as strong as ever and there were a number of frozen limbs throughout the grounds that could attest to that.

Princess Himari when she arrived was very impressed, seeing the number of dead wearing the palace guard uniform and none wearing the uniform of the Fangs of Fenrir impressed her and seeing Rickard sitting and cleaning the muzzle of an abnormally large wolf only impressed her more. Her first task after thanking the men for defending her home and learning the status of her father had been securing the castle. To do that she summoned her fathers council, the Three Lords as they were called. The positions were taken by the Grand Chancellor, Grand Protector and the Grand Secretary and while not the full council which included several ministry heads these were the most powerful members.

The Grand Protector, Luo Zan was also called the Head of the Imperial Military and was the first to arrive along with 500 men to garrison the palace. The man had risen to his position through sheer work ethic and was a man of high honor. The next to arrive was Chatrsuda Thumying, the only woman amongst the group and the Grand Secretary meaning all matters regarding the State were overseen by her. She'd once been the Head Priestess in the temple of Freyr and was one of the Emperor's many mistresses birthing three of his twenty-two children. The last to arrive was Koki Jurobei the Grand Chancellor who was essentially the emperors Hand and most dealt with the nobility and politics. Despite the fact that she had never dealt with any of them in their official capacities Himari held herself rather well as far as Rickard was concerned.

"Lord Zan please send some of your men to discover the status of my siblings any that are alive should be escorted home." Said Himari.

"Of course princess." Said the man.

"I don't believe Sozin was acting alone, he wouldn't have threatened war or left so easily if he was." Said the princess frowning.

"Leave that to me." Said Jurobei.

"Very well, I'll leave things here to you all. I will go to father and update you when I have news." Said Himari.

"I can have men accompany you." Said Luo Zan.

"Don't. Fayeview is a rather small town, no one would think to look for either the Emperor or Himari there. If you must send men to Sunshire, it is very close within ten minutes riding fast." Said Thumying.

"Perhaps the Emperor should relocate to Sunshire to recover. From there he can return by sea and multiple large dragons live in the area, no one would try an attack there." Said Jurobei.

"I will inform father of your opinion on the matter." Said Himari.

The emergency meeting broke up soon after with Himari leaving being escorted by the wolves. Rather than get back on the road the travelled to the docks and boarded the Taurus, one of the royal ships and one of two owned by one of her elder brothers. The horses they brought would be returned to Sunshire by the men that Luo Zan would send there. As they set sail to return to Sunshire all of the Westerosi passengers were now worried about the future for the first time in decades.

AN: That's it, chapter's over. Once again if you find my descriptions disappointing check out the version on AO3. Anyway thanks for reading and please review. Until next time, LATER.
