-chapter 32-

We followed her around the trees right as the sun began to rise and visibility gradually began to improve. When we finally found it, we saw that the bird in the tree was unlike any normal bird or pokemon I had seen before. It had a body like a pidgey, but was colored like a bluejay, with a grey chest and medium blue wings. It was just waking up when we approached.

"Blufa?" It chirped as Phoebe approached it's tree.

"We're looking for a road." She said to the strange avian creature.

"Fubla bwuffa fwa bluh." It replied in its own language with voice that sounded very similiar to a chicken's .

"What did it say?" I asked.

"I...uhhh...I don't know." Phoebe replied.

"Bwuffa fuh bwuh." The avian creature chirped again.

"That's not a word." Phoebe replied.

"fuh bwuh bwuffa bwuh, bluh!" The creature continued.

"Ok, it's thinking over in this direction, I can't tell what it's trying to say." Phoebe said. "Maybe pokemon language works differently here."

"Well so much for that." I said.

"Not really." Phoebe replied. "I can kind of see what they mean with their thoughts, so come on, let's see what's over this way."

"Allright." I said with a sigh, as we proceeded to follow her through the forrest for atleast a mile.

"Are you sure that it was thinking this way?" I asked as we had not yet seen anything man made and we had been following her for atleast an hour.

"As sure as I am that we haven't been here before." She replied.

"Well that doesn't help much." I said. "Baby girl, if you're lost atleast admit it, don't just keep leading us around in circles."

"I'm not lost." She replied.

"Has she done that before?" Claire asked.

"No, but she has lied before, and she's gotten lost before." I replied.

"Shut it." Phoebe demanded.

"What was that? You said that the mirror required us to save the city in order to work?" I defended.

"That wasn't a lie." She defended.

"Pheebles, just because it's a terrible lie, does not mean it's not a lie." I insisted.

"You knew I wasn't being serious." She continued to defend.

"That doesn't matter." I replied. " I knew why you said it."

"Anyway, here's the road." She said as she pushed some branches out of the way, revealing a narrow dirt road through the forrest.

"Well damn, the bird thingy wasn't lying." I replied.

"Mhm." She said.

"So should we go back and get the vehicles or what should we do?" Henry asked.

"If it's like our world, we should just hitch a ride to the pokemon center, we can stay there for the night."

"But what if our don't work?" Phoebe asked.

"As long as they look like this world's id's they probably won't bother to look into it any further." I replied.

"If I knew we were going to run into another pokemon world so soon, I probably would've been willing to fight those tanks a little harder." I said.

"The mirror leads to a random world everytime it's activated." Phoebe said. "We just got lucky this time."

"Besides, you were right, if aggron couldn't even damage that one, there's no way we could handle five of them."

"Maybe if we're lucky we can find some other trainers here and go back through the portal, if the national guard hasn't found a way to beat them by then."

"We need to get out of here faster than that." Henry said. "If they can't beat the behemoth, then they'll likely resort to a nuclear option."

"I don't know man." I replied. "Once those spacefreaks make it to the museum, I don't know what they'll do once they realize the mirror isn't there. The nat guard wouldn't be that crazy would they?"

"It's only a matter of time before they find the portal, we left it in the street for crying out loud." Phoebe replied.

"Well if they come here it will be easier to deal with them." I defended. "We can get our pokemon healed, we can find other trainers to help us."

"Yes, but we need to find some strong trainers to help." Phoebe replied.

"I wonder if Devon co. exists here." I said. "Maybe they have their own portal facility."

"I don't know." Phoebe replied. "It's definitely worth looking into."

Eventually we caught a ride on a pickup truck, which brought us to the nearest pokemon center. Everything was going well, until we tried to get our pokemon healed.

"Hello nurse, we need to get out pokemon healed." Phoebe said to the nurse who looked confused that she could talk for a moment.

"Oh yes, of course, I'll have them healed up good as new right away." The nurse replied as she looked over our licenses, then she took our pokeballs and headed into the backroom.

"How long does this usually take?" Henry asked.

"Just a minute or so." I replied.

"She's calling the cops." Phoebe said.

"What why? " I said, surprised.

"She thinks our pokemon are stolen." Phoebe replied.

"What? " I asked.

" Cj and Phoebe there's a warrant out for your arrest." The nurse replied from the safety of the backroom.

"For what?" I asked.

"Pokemon theft, poaching, child endangerment, murder, conspiracy to traffic stolen pokemon for profit, conspiracy to commit fraud., conspiracy to murder, serial littering . . . " She replied in an official manner. "The list goes on."

All of a sudden an alarm went off, and metal shudders covered all the windows, and even the door.

"What the hell?" I asked.

"The police are on their way. " The nurse replied.

"Is all of that true? " Henry asked.

"No, all of it's bullcrap." I said.

"Our counterparts in this world must be evil." Phoebe replied.

"Can you teleport us out?" I asked.

"Yes Cj, just give me a moment." She replied.

We all held hands for a moment.

"Oh no." She said. "I can't, they're blocking my powers somehow."

"Great, and the nurse has our pokemon." I replied.

A purple gas began to enter the room through the ceiling.

"What the heck?" I asked.

"Sleeping gas." Phoebe replied.

Moments later we were all unconcious.

When I woke up I was in jail cell with Henry, while Phoebe and Claire were in a separate cell across from ours. Phoebe also had a pair of power bracelets, preventing that obvious escape.

"Dam, we really screwed up this time." I said as I realized what happened.

"Yeah, no kidding." Henry agreed.

"But, if we exist here, then portals have to exist." I said.

"Why is that? " Henry asked.

"I thought we told you before, I'm not originally from the pokemon world."

"Are we ever going to get out of here?" Claire asked.

"Yeah, something along the lines won't add up, like for instance, the evil version of us commiting a crime while we're in here.

"And there's no way they even know any thing about you two, just answer their questions and they might just let you go, hopefully before the spacemen find out where the portal is and invade."

"I hope we get out of here before that, they might destroy our bus!" Phoebe anxiously stated.

The door suddenly opened with a loud clank and a policewoman walked in. She went up to Phoebe and Claire's cell and unlocked the door.

"What's going on? " Phoebe asked.

"We have some questions to ask you." The officer replied as she opened the door to let Phoebe out, locking it behind her, leaving Claire alone in the cell.

She led her out of the jail, and closed the door behind her with another loud clank.

On the other side of the door, the officer led her down a hall into an office and sat her down across from a desk. Then the questioning began.

"Are you Phoebe lastnamecensored ? "

" Yes. " She replied.

"It says here you're a gardevoir. " The officer said.

"Yes." Phoebe agreed.

"That can't be right, why's your skin so white?" The officer asked.

"Gardevoirs always have white skin, some are a bit greyer than others, but " She replied.

"You're going to have to stop lying, you're not a gardevoir and you're not Phoebe." The officer interupted.

"So does that mean I'm not under arrest?" Phoebe replied.

"Not unless you can explain to me why you and "Cj" back there have the same Trainer Ids as two of the most wanted criminals in the entire Johto region, and why you have these Team Devon identity cards.

"Would you believe me if I said we're from an alternate universe where Devon co are the good guys and Team Rocket was the bad guys?" Phoebe replied. "and I am a gardevoir."

"Was?" The officer asked.

"We wiped them out. " Phoebe continued. "They disbanded and now there's just a bunch of team rocket pocket factions every where."

" I thought I saw a dialga earlier today."

"You believe me?" Phoebe replied.

"As long as your not wearing makeup."

"What do you mean?"

"Gardevoirs here have skin as black as the night, hair as red as your eyes. Truth is none of your pokemon look anything like what their ids say they are, your Blastoise is blue, when it's supposed to be brown, and it has no spikes on its shell, nor evidence that it ever had any, your Venusaur is greenish-blue when it's supposed to be red, to put it simply, none of your pokemon look anything like they should. Yet the nurse confirmed that it can not possibly be the result of mutilation or birth defects." The officer replied in a serious tone.

"Red?" Phoebe exclaimed in surprise.

"The nurse says she hasn't seen anything like it." The officer continued.

"Can we get them back?" Phoebe asked.

"Yes, in a little bit, I still have more questions." The Officer agreed.

"Ok good, because we have more pressing issues." She continued.

"Like what? " The officer asked.

"This world may get invaded by a bunch of crazy scientists with overpowered tanks." Phoebe replied.

"What? " The officer asked again.

"They might follow us here, they might already have, we got here through a portal in a cave in the forrest. From another world where pokemon don't exist." Phoebe replied as the officer immediately pulled out a map from her desk.

"You came from there?" The officer replied, pointing to a spot on the map.

"Um maybe." Phoebe replied.

"It's the only cave I know that's somewhat close." The officer continued. "Some Devon crooks burried a body out there a few years ago, we never found it in time for it to be revived."

"Wow, that's, that's really sad." Phoebe replied.

"Ok, so, here's what I'm going to go, I'm going to send a team of officers out there, and if there is a portal in this cave, or anything weird for that matter, we'll let you off the hook." The officer said.

"Well hurry then, I don't know how much time we have." Phoebe replied.

"We will." The officer replied as she picked up her phone and dialed in number.

"Dispatch, I need 2 people to go check out deadman's cave." The officer spoke into the phone.

"Did they burry someone else out there?" The Dispatcher replied.

"No, but there's something out there, hurry, and report back what you find." The officer said, hanging up the phone after she finished.

"Ok. so it's going to take them atleast an hour or two to get out there, i'm afraid I can't let you go until I hear back from them." She said to Phoebe.

"I just hope it's not too late by then." Phoebe replied. "You're going to need some really strong trainers, champions even." "Cj's aggron couldn't even scratch them." Phoebe replied. "Call in a H.a.v.a.c if you can."

"The h.a.v.a.c is destroyed. Team Devon tried to use it to stop the pokemon world tournament, Rocket Co. shot it down over the ocean." The officer replied.

"Well then call them, have them send their blimps or something." Phoebe replied. "There was only one h.a.v.a.c? They don't have a base in Lumina?"

"None that I know of." The officer replied. "Rocket Co. might know otherwise, anyway, I have to take you back to your cell, and I'll let you know if I hear back from them, that's the best I can do."

The officer stood up, helped Phoebe out of her chair, and led her back to the cell. Interupting an unimportant conversation I was having with Henry and Claire. I waited until the officer closed the door once again before saying anything.

"So what happened?" I asked.

"They're sending officers to check out the portal." Phoebe replied. "If it checks out, they'll let us go."

"Dam, that's going to take awhile." I replied.

"Mhm." She agreed.

"How much time do we have? " Claire asked.

"I don't know." I replied, to which both Phoebe and Henry nodded in agreement. " They could meet the tanks on the way over there, they might not come tilll tomorrow, or even a week from now, or ever if the national guard managed to stop them."

"And what happens when they come?" Henry asked.

"Well first they have to get out of the forrest, then, well, if you thought the national guard was tough, wait till the Devon agents arrive."

"Actually it would be Rocket agents Cj, Devon is evil here." Phoebe corrected me.

"Yeah well, what if they bring in the H.A.V.A.C?" I said.

"They don't have the h.a.v.a.c, they have blimps." Phoebe replied. "Devon still made the h.a.v.a.c here but it got shot down.

"How the heck did that happen?" I asked, wishing I could've seen it.

"I don't know." Phoebe replied.

"What's the H.a.v.a.c ?" Henry asked.

"You take a light carrier and stick vtol jets on it, somehow get it to fly, add some big guns, and you get something that resembles the size, firepower, and operational capability of a h.a.v.a.c. It's a huge airplane with a mile wide wingspan, so huge they only ever land at this base that's specially designed for them, and in our world there's only five in existence. " I replied to the best of my ability "They have nearly infinite range because they burn hydrogen and can litterally run on ocean water."

"So it's like a capital ship?" Henry asked.

"Yeah, basically, put it this way, it's an airplane so big, you can land other planes inside of it." I continued.

"Yes, but it doesn't exist here anymore, so we have to hope that Rocket Co has something else." Phoebe interjected as she tried to make herself comfortable on the paper thin bed in her cell.

"Do they have giant flying bases here?" I asked.

"I don't know, the officer didn't say." Phoebe replied.

"Giant flying bases? What?" Henry asked.

"They had what like 2 of them? One was destroyed, the other I think was captured, basically, they're giant flying cities, where they dock their blimps. The even have a cloaking device powered by pokemon, so despite their size they were really hard to find and even harder to take down." I replied.

"That was a long day." Phoebe replied.

"Yep." I agreed.

Over the next hour we ended up having to discuss what happened that day, somehow we were still talking by the time the officer came back.

"What's the news? " Phoebe asked shortly after she opened the door.

"They found your vehicles and the portal, your story checks out, but we need to talk about those tanks now, and also how to close that portal, we have a rocket co. blimp on the way to bring your vehicles to the station."

"Ok, well about the portal, you can only close it from the other side, but then we'll be trapped in the other world with the tanks." Phoebe replied.

"We can't just keep running from them, I know you have the firepower to destroy them here, they don't back there, I saw it myself, they don't have pokemon so they threw their own tanks and even helicopters at it and it didn't even scratch them." I said.

"It's a world where pokemon don't exist?" The officer asked.

"Yep." I replied " No pokemon, no trainers, no gyms, just humans, and other living things called animals, that are kind of like pokemon except they're not as smart and don't have fantastic abilities."

"Sounds sad." The officer said.

"It kind of is, but it's all they've ever known, so they're ok with it." I continued. "Some keep animals as pets, just like some families have growlithes or meowths, or snubbles."

"Or skittys, don't forget skitties." Phoebe chimed in.

"Yeah, those too Pheebles, but I think she gets the point." I replied.

"Well, I need to call Rocket Co. they're the best ones for the job." The officer said as she unlocked our cells, released Phoebe from her power bracelets, and returned our pokemon. "Please stay in town till we get this sorted out."

"Like we have anywhere else to go." Henry replied.

"Uh we do need to get our pokemon healed." I said.

"The Nurse already took care of that." The officer said. "They should be good as new."

"Well that's good." I replied. "Phoebe you feeeling good?"

"I'm ok, just tired." She replied.

"Allright then, we're good to go."

"But we have nowhere to go." Henry interjected.

"True." I replied.

"So what do we do then?" Henry and Claire asked almost simultaneously.

"We sit around and wait for something interesting to happen." I replied.

"Really?" Claire asked.

"Usually no, but in this case there's not much we can do." Phoebe replied.

"If you need somewhere to stay, I can speak with the pokemon center and they'll be happy to give you a room for the night, this is a small town, so there's no hotel or anything." The officer said.

"Well that's good, I'm not sure how long we're going to be here, but thanks."

"Anyway, I have other business to attend to, so you all are free to go." The officer said as she walked out of the room, leaving the door wide open.

"Allright then, let's get to the pokemon center."

"I hope it's not too far way." Phoebe replied.

"It's just down the street." The officer replied from her office, I'll tell the nurse you're comming.

Sure enough, the pokemon center was just about five minutes of walking away.

"So what's it like staying at the pokemon center?" Clair asked.

"It's like staying at the most average hotel ever, it's not really good or bad, it's just ok, which, you know, considering it's free, isn't really a bad thing." I replied. "They do have showers, so take advantage of that."

"Cj don't be rude." Phoebe said.

"What, I'm just saying ."

"She doesn't smell that bad." Phoebe interupted me.

"Pheebles, seriously, I was just saying."

"No I get it, not every place has showers. " Claire interupted me.

"Yeah." I agreed.

"Sorry, I'm just tired, we've been up for awhile."

"Yeah, well we'll take a nap soon." I said as I approached the door of the pokemon center.

"You ever do it at a pokemon center?" Claire asked, quietly.

"Yes, but you need to be quiet about it, sometimes there's kids in the room next to yours." Phoebe replied.

"Pheebles, why did you admit to that?" I asked.

"Because she asked." She answered.

"So?" I replied. "Come on , let's get to our rooms." I said as I opened the door, the nurse was watching us from the counter the whole time.

"The police department called, I'm sorry for earlier." The nurse said as we walked in.

"Is that like some type of basketball court outback? " Henry asked.

"No, that's actually a pokemon arena, they hold tournaments there sometimes, sometimes trainers hold battles out there amongst themselves." I replied as we approached the counter.

"OK so you have rooms 8 and 9, meal times are standard, and there's a list in the corner of all the types of pokemon that have been spotted in the area, thankyou, and have a nice day." The nurse said as she gave us our key cards to get into the rooms.

So we went up to our rooms and then Phoebe and I tried to take a nap while Henry and Claire decided to explore the center on their own. It was quite hard to sleep at first, knowing those tanks could come and attack at any moment, but eventually fatigue took its toll and we drifted off in eachother's arms for about an hour or so on and off, a few minutes we would try to sleep, and then the next few we would spend quietly making out, or maybe I was dreaming, if that's the case then it would be really hard to distinguish between the two, I got this thought in my head and then it evolved into a very discomforting dream, with a highly convoluted plot where Phoebe had litterally lied about everything, for instance, Charley and Nina were never real, we didn't work for Devon, she cheated on me . . . . Etc, it was one of those dreams where everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong, reminded me of dreams I used to have and still have on occasion of my parents just being evil for the sake of being evil, killing or destroying people or things I care about just to antagonize me. Of course in real life they're not even 1% as mean as , Phoebe woke me up in the middle of it before things could get much worse, when I was about to discover that she was somekind of serial killer, from which point it would likely get worse, if my mind was even capable of comming up with it, then again, as per the general rule of nightmares, it pretty much always can.

"Cj, wake up. " She said softly. "How could you think those things?" She asked.

"Stress." I said as soon as I had gained enough awareness to reply.

Did you kick me out of bed again? " I asked thinking she'd have nightmares too.

"No, but my dreams weren't much better." She softly replied. "The spacemen took Charley."

"Hehe, it's just stress baby girl." I replied. "I'm glad that was just a dream."

"You wanna share dreams? Maybe it will be better that way." She asked.

"Yeah, if it means we can sleep better." I replied.

So eventually we went back to sleep, sharing our dreams which, since we were together, weren't all that bad. It started out with us fighting the spacemen, evil phoebe, and trying to save Charley, who was being held in a glass cage. Then that plot got thrown out the window as we became lucid, at which point we began to use the dreamscape for other things, ironically not sex, as I was concerned it would never be as good as real sex, and therefore it was kind of pointless, to which she surprisingly agreed, so instead we used it to create ridiculous machines and creatures and things that couldn't possibly work in real life, we don't even remember half the stuff we made, but it was alot more fun than the nightmares we were having.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Claire and Henry were at the counter, talking to the Nurse.

"So all I have to do is pass this test and I can get a trainer's license?" Henry asked.

"That's right, you even get a free starter pokemon!" The Nurse replied.

"Do I get to pick which one?" Henry asked.

"From a selection." The Nurse replied. "They're starter pokemon, they're not going to be as strong, or as, uh, exotic looking, as your friend's out of the ball, but if you work with them and train them properly, they can become quite powerful indeed."

"So where do I take the test? " Henry asked.

"Well, I'll go run off a few copies, and see if you two are ready." The nurse replied as she retreated into the backroom.

"Are you sure about this? " Claire asked.

"Of course." Henry replied. " Haven't you always wanted a pet monster when you were little?"

"I wanted a Unicorn." She replied.

"Same thing." Henry replied. "Come on, you can get one too, and then we can battle in the arena outside."

The nurse came back a few seconds later with the copies of the test.

"20 questions, and you have all the time you need." The nurse replied as she handed the tests to Henry. "No cellphones, and no cooperation."

Henry gave one of the copies to Claire, and then they both took a seat at one of the nearby tables after borrowing some pencils from the front desk. Henry started right away with the first question, while Claire hesitated at first, but then started as well. Of course neither of them had studied beforehand, but keep in mind that the test is designed so that ten year old kids can pass it, to an adult many of the questions are straightforward. Alot of them have to do with morality in general, but just as many revolve around the basic fundamentals of pokemon, including type advantages and disadvantages and locations where certain types of pokemon can be found. The later of which would probably be the most challenging. Especially if you weren't familiar with the first two generations of pokemon. Generation 3 and up were left off the test as encountering them in the Johto region was not a very common event, as they are separate continents.

Anyway, Phoebe and I slept well into the evening, as our clocks were way out of sync. While, Henry and Claire had their first experience with pokemon. Until they finally got tired and went to sleep sometime later.

Anyway, Phoebe and I woke up in time to get dinner from to lobby, while Henry and Claire were sleeping.

"You think we could get a starter?" Phoebe asked.

"We already have a full team." I replied.

"Yeah, but we're not going to take on the league or anything, we can carry more than six." Phoebe replied." I was thinking if we brought one back with us Dr. Black would be heavily interested."

"Eh, allright, what do we have to do to get one?" I asked.

"I'll go see." She replied as she got up and headed to the counter.

She spoke to the nurse for bit and then came back.

"Apparently we already have our licenses so we can't get another starter." She replied as she sat back down across the table from me.

"Well dam." Was all I could say, only for the nurse to approach us moments later with a pokeball.

"I thought you said we couldn't get another one?" I asked.

"Well, I figured I might as well apologize for earlier." The Nurse replied.

"Here's the one your two friends didn't pick." She said as she set the ball on the end of the table.

"What what?" I asked, surprised.

"You mean?" Phoebe asked.

"Oh they didn't tell you?" The nurse suddenly realized. "Yeah, they passed their tests so they are both licensed trainers now."

"Well, that might be pretty useful." I replied, awkwardly.

"If they can train their pokemon properly." Phoebe replied.

"They already did a few battles out back." The Nurse said. "I had to coach them for a bit but they were both getting the hang of it."

"So uh, what pokemon is this then?"

I said as I picked up the ball.

"It's a Cyndaquil. Anyway I need to get back to work, there's some kids battling outside and they're bound to come in here at any moment." The nurse replied before heading back to the counter.

"Well we got our starter Pheebles." I said. "Now what?"

"Let him out so we can meet him." She cutely replied.

"Can we finish dinner first?" I asked.

"Of course." She replied.

"Ok then." I said.

So after dinner, we let out our new pokemon outside the center, with any of the other starters we could have let them out inside, but fire type pokemon were generally not allowed inside buildings for safety reasons. Anyway, as with the other pokemon in this world, it was not an ordinary looking cyndaquil. While it was the same shape as a Cyndaquil, it's coloring resembled it's shiny form but was red on top, and it's underbelly was silvery-white as opposed to cream, in addition, it had a solid white stripe on it's head, further setting it apart from the cyndaquils we were used too. That said it was a timid little thing, friendly enough, but I wasn't sure if we would have the oppourtunity to train it properly. Of course, it could make a nice gift for Nina, but her having one fire type around was scary enough. Anyway, it's future aside, once we let it out we had to be really careful not to scare it or it could burn us, as just like any animal it had no idea who we were and wasn't used to us yet, so it didn't like to be touched. I remembered when Bubba was just a squirtle, he wasn't that timid, in fact he was quite the opposite, and Bulby was always sort of easygoing, both of them were quite stubborn, Bulby just didn't like to move, either responding in a lethargic manner or not even acknowledging Phoebe's commands, and Bubba just wouldn't listen half the time, going so far as to interupt battles between other trainers, and it took several training sessions to break them of that, that was clear back in forbidden future, so I don't even remember if I mentioned that or not. Anyway, this Cyndaquil was definitely more timid than they were, but Phoebe's powers made this entire process a little bit easier, as she was able to communicate with it in ways that I couldn't and within twenty minutes she was holding it like a puppy.

"There we go, whose so soft and fwuffy?" She said to the little cyndaquil.

"What should your name be hmm?" She asked. "Mr. Fwuffy?"

"We're not naming him Mr. Fwuffy." I replied.

"But he's so Fwuffy." She replied, obviously enamored with the little thing.

"Cyndaquil. " It cooed.

"Awe he doesn't like it." Phoebe said.

"Well gee I wonder why." I sarcastically replied.

"Ok what about . . . . " She began to say.

"FireBlade?" I interupted.

"No." She refused.

"NightBlade?" I suggested.

"No." She refused.

"IceBlade." I suggested.

"That doesn't even make sense." She replied.

"Yeah, you're right it doesn't. " I realized as I ran out of blade-related names.

"Quil quil." The cyndaquil coed as it shook its head.

"You don't like it either hm? " She said.

"Snow blade." I suggested, jokingly this time.

"No Cj." She replied. "Or steel blade, or water blade, or grass blade, or razor blade, or dragon blade. Just no no no no no no no no no."

"Pants blade!" I said, without even the slightest bit of seriousness.

"Especially no." She replied. "We'll name you later little guy, when Cj isn't trying to name you something stupid."

"Hey." I defended.

"Cj, why would anyone ever name their pokemon pants blade?" She asked.

"Little old ladies with machokes? " I replied with great difficulty.

"Ew..." She replied in disgust. "Don't go there." She said, no longer able to contain her laughter.

"You weird weird weird weird weird wierd."

"Ghost blade." I suggested, interupting her symphony of weirds.

"No, he's not a ghost." Phoebe replied.

"Now stop or I'll let him burn you." She replied.

"Does he even know any fire type moves?" I asked.

"He should be able to learn them eventually." She replied.

Just then a black silph sedan, nearly identical to ours back home, but with Rocket badges, pulled up and parked beside the center.

"Hey look it's our car." I said.

"Yep." Phoebe replied.

"Come on little guy, it's time to go in your ball for now, we can't bring you inside with us." She said as she returned the cyndaquil to it's ball.

"Come on, let's go see if . . . " She began. "Whoah, wait a minute." She quickly changed her mind as the car's door opened.

"What? " I asked.

"I can't get a reading on them." Phoebe replied.

"Ookay." I said.

A figure got out of the car and approached us, it was hard to see them at first, but the light from inside the center revealed that they looked a lot like a gardevoir, but with extremely dark skin, almost completely black, with black hair.

"It's another gardevoir." Phoebe replied. "But I thought they had red hair."

"Must be dyed." She concluded.

"How do you know that?" I asked.

"The officer told me." She replied.

"Ok then, what's she doing out here?" I asked.

"I don't know." She replied.

"Are you the Cj and Phoebe I was told about?" The unknown gardevoir called out.

"Who are you?" Phoebe asked.

"Agent Christine, Rocket Corporation, Johto Division."

"What the fuck?" I asked.

"Excuse me?" Christine asked.

"Nothing, it's nothing, he's just, your just, in the world we came from." Phoebe tried to explain.

"I was some kind of bad guy?" She asked. "Just like you are here."

"Our daughter hates you." Phoebe continued.

"Where's Matt?" I asked, surprised that his counterpart wasn't here as well.

"I don't want to talk about it." She replied.

"What is he dead?" I asked.

"I don't want to talk about it." She replied, more sternly than before.

"Cj just let it go." Phoebe suggested.

"So they sent you out to investigate?" Phoebe asked.

"Yes, that's correct, the report was recieved a few hours ago."Christine asked. "So where's the portal?"

"It's in the cave in the forrest, you should have the officer take you there, she knows where it is, I don't think we would be able to find it again if we tried."

"Ok, but you and the others are comming with me." She replied.

30 minutes later the police woman from earlier was leading through the forrest, along with Christine, Henry, and Claire, the later two of which had been rudely woken up by Christine and were both pretty tired.

"Who the hell is this chick? "Henry asked.

"A familiar name on an unfamiliar face on a familiarly named team with an unfamiliar side." I replied.

"What? " Henry asked, tired, cranky, and not understanding a word of what I just said.

"He means that she's a counterpart of this really evil woman we knew on our world, but now she's one of the good guys, apparently." Phoebe clarified for me.

"Then why'd she wake us up?" Claire asked, just as tired as henry.

"Because she wanted you to come to the portal with us." Phoebe replied.

"Also she had a boyfriend but she won't." I began.

"Shut Up!" Christine interupted.

"He'd stop talking about it if you'd just tell us." Phoebe replied.

"Fine!" She replied. "We were a week away from marriage but he ran off to the hoen region to work for Devon."

"What? That's horrible." Phoebe replied.

"We done now? " Christine asked.

"But that didn't happen on, wait, on our world you left him, as he didn't want to be evil anymore." I tried to put the pieces together.

"She was sent to hoen to get away from Myrenthall." Phoebe replied.

"Who the hell is Myrenthall?" Pretty much everyone but me and the officer asked simultaneously.

"He was a creepy wizzard guy that had the hots for phoebe, then switched to Christine once he realized I don't take to kindly to anyone messing with me girl."

"Awe Cj." She replied, cutely. "That's not how it happened." She disagreed.

"Oh really? " I asked.

"Mhm." She said. "Don't you remember he kidnapped you?"

"I don't remember that at all." I said, even though I did. "When the hell did that happen?"

" Liar." She replied.

"Well that's just great." Christine interupted. "Not that it matters."

"Oh stop being so cranky. You're nothing like the evil Christine." Phoebe said.

"Maybe if you come with us we can introduce you to Matt from our world, once we get back."

"Phoebe I don't think our party needs to get much bigger." I protested.

"Oh nonsense, the more the merrier." She replied.

"I can't walk away from Rocket Co." Christine replied.

"Just say it's in the name of exploration." Phoebe argued. "That's what we're doing for our world's Devon Co. right now."

"No we're not, we're not even supposed to be here, the only reason we are is because the machine malfunctioned." I replied.

"So we could save the multiverse." Phoebe continued.

"The cave is right up here guys." The officer interjected, shining her flashlight upon the entrance.

"Can we get our bus out of here too?" I asked.

"Deal with these so called tanks first then we'll worry about that." The officer replied.

"It doesn't look like they've come through yet." Phoebe said.

"They're probably still busy taking over Claire's hometown." I said.

Unfortunately we happened to have to worst timing imaginable. As we had just headed into the cave when we started to here a rumbling sound. Then we fled the cave as it became apparent the tanks were comming through, right we quickly left and headed into the forrest around the back side of the cave, the opposite direction from which the tanks would probably head. Which turned out to be correct, as they charged out of the cave and straight through the forrest, easily smashing through the trees with their immense weight, paying little attention to us.

"There they go again." Said Claire.

"Well atleast getting our bus out will be easy now." I said as I observed the destruction.

"But the forrest." Phoebe exclaimed out of concern.

"This isn't good." the officer replied.

"We told you they were comming." I said.

"Rocket Co. didn't think it would be that serious. " Christine commented. "I'm going to need to call in backup. I need to get back to my car, quick."

"Hurry." Phoebe insisted.

"If we take my car we might be able to follow them back to town." Henry said.

"Yeah, that's a good idea." I said, as long as they go back to town.

"But then what will happen to the town?" The officer asked.

"I honestly don't know, they might be here just to explore. Or they might be here to take over."

"I think they're after us." Phoebe replied. "But they're pretty clueless as to where we are."

"Can't you use your pokemon to hold them back?" The officer asked.

"We tried that, didn't work." I replied.

"Not even that giant mutated aggron?" The officer insisted.

"Yeah, like I said we tried it already." I continued. "We need more than one."

Just then Henry started up his car, the headlights came on seconds later, illuminating the area, allowing a better view of the destruction caused by the tanks. The weight of which gave the effect that the forrest had been cut with a knife, Trees had been uprooted and pressed into the ground, creating a almost perfectly flat surface of dirt and brush. The sound that they made when this happened was quite loud. The only parts that weren't perfectly flat were around the edges where the treads were. The drive back to town was faster than walking, but still slow as we tried to keep our distance from the tanks, low speed being their only known weakness so far. We followed the tanks to a road, and then we went back to town, amazingly lucky the tanks went the wrong way. Though they would inevitably arrive at the next town down the road, the one we were based at for the moment was safe for now.

Rocket agents were already waiting once we got back to the center. Christina had called for backup on the way, though to be honest it was hard to trust the rockets even if they were the good guys on this world, and if they had same limited selection of pokemon they usually did we weren't much better off. At the very least they did have helicopters on the way, so that opened up some new tactics.

"The blimp fleet is atleast 2 hours away, if we're going to protect OranGrove, we need to find a way to slow them down." Christine said.

"OranGrove?" I asked.

"It's the next town down the road." Christine replied. "The one the tanks are now heading towards."

"Wait, do they have oran berries there?" Phoebe asked.

"Yes they do, hence the name." The officer replied, having more knowledge of the area than any of us.

"So what are we going to do then? Can we use our new pokemon?" Henry asked.

"You probably shouldn't, they need to undergo a lot of training before they're ready for something like this. A few hours behind a pokemon center just won't cut it." I replied.

"Yeah, I thought so." Henry said.

"You'll help us train them right?" Claire asked.

"Of course, we got one we need to train too." Phoebe kindly replied.

"But we have other things to worry about right now." I added.

"We're losing ground people." Christine called out. "Listen up. We need to hurry to the next town and cut them off, and try to hold the until the blimps arrive."

"Yes ma'am." Countless redshirts replied.

"They better have more then just a raticate or golbat." I insisted.

"Hehe, those are Devon pokemon, don't worry about that we got something special, this is the elite unit." Christine replied before turning towards the officer. " We need you to show us the second fastest way to the next town."

"Right, I'm on it." The officer replied as they headed off towards Christine's sedan.

"Henry, Claire, you might as well stay here, we'll come back later." I said as I began to follow them with Phoebe trailing behind.

"I was hoping you would say that." Claire replied, not wanting anything to do with this, while Henry just quietly nodded in agreement.

"Come on let's go." I said to my beloved as I began to walk just a little bit faster towards the car.

"Comming." She replied.

So we caught a ride with Christine and then along with several other fully loaded rocket sedans we booked it over the backroads to the next town, which was just a few miles away. The tanks were slow so beating them there wasn't much of a problem. We all lined up on mainstreet while the local police force was already blocking off the roads. And the squadron of rocket agents prepared to send out their pokemon. There was no way we could've predicted what they were going to use, as it was one that didn't even exist in our world.

"X online, awaiting command. " They all said in a robotic voice.

"What are those things? " I asked Christine as soon as they were released.

"Mew X, the final evolution of the Mew program, it's the ultimate pokemon." She replied.

They were about the size of a human child, and it was vaguely humanoid in appearence, though I can't tell you exactly what it looked like as they were all wearing armor. Jt was a psychic type, and it was powerful enough that it hovered several feet off the ground, despite the armor.

"It's the ultimate soldier, a perfect combination of pokemon and technology." Christine continued.

"They're, mindless." Phoebe replied."

"Cyborgs." Christine corrected, we needed to use software to control them or else they'd run amok.

"So you're using them as slaves?" Phoebe replied out of concern.

"We created them, we have every right too." Christine corrected. "It's not like a pokemon you can just capture out in the wild you know?"

"I guess team rocket is still rotten in this world." Phoebe muttered.

"In fact it means we don't have to capture wild pokemon as much as we used too." Christine defended.

"But they also can't be friends can they?" Phoebe asked. "They're just souless machines that look like pokemon, they're just a weapon."

"Pheebles, we don't have time to debate morale dillemas right now." I replied. "That tank thing can destroy the city, that's a bad thing, we all agree, correct?"

"Yes . . " Christine agreed.

"Thankyou."

"They are just a weapon." Christine continued. "A weapon that can fit in your pocket and cause untold levels of destruction, listen, we originally were going to have their violent tendencys removed through genetic modification, but then we caught Devon trying to build another h.a.v.a.c, so the software was implemented as a short cut. Nobody likes it, but it's what we had to do, we were really short on manpower after the last h.a.v.a.c hit our headquarters."

"Wait they what?" I asked.

"They destroyed one of our flying headquarters, the crash wiped Saffron city off the map." Christine replied. "We weren't ready, thousands of lives were lost."

That shut Phoebe up for a moment.

"See Pheebles, they had a reason." I said, breaking the silence.

"OK, whatever, let's just kill these tanks." She replied.

"Is that really what happened to Matt?" Phoebe asked Christine, something she really shouldn't have.

Christine just went quiet and didn't answer.

"We have a job to do. No more talking." She said after spacing out for a moment.

"Pheebles are you like freaking bent on screwing this up?" I asked, somewhat annoyed.

"No." She innocently replied. "I just had to know."

"Don't be mad." She replied as she took my hands and looked into my eyes. "I'm sorry."

I didn't say anything, I just held her for a bit, but not for too long as I also had to keep an eye on Aggron.

A few insignificant moments later the lead tank's headlights shined brightly as they came up over a hill in the road, about a mile outside of the town. The agents gave their commands and the mew xs began to approach them. Once they were a safe distance away, I sent out Aggron to back them up, or atleast draw fire away from them. The mews proved extremely hard for the tanks to hit with anything but their machine guns, which were not powerful enough to pierce their armor, their cannons were too slow to aim, and their missiles could be stopped in mid air and even turned back on them, but they were so heavy the mew xs, who may very well have been the strongest psychic "pokemon" in existence, atleast in this world, could barely lift them. The difficulty of this was exacerbated even further because as soon as the lead tank experienced trouble, two of the others behind it came up along its side and released a hail of machine gun fire. Although it didn't hurt the mew xs, thanks to their armor, it did make it hard for them to concentrate. That's when I had aggron advance and attempt to draw their fire. By that point he was close enough that the tanks couldn't fire their cannons without potentially damaging themselves, as the mews were the more immediate threat they were drawing fire for him. And that's when I realized I hadn't seen what their cannons were capable of yet, they hadn't even fired them at the national guard tanks that tried to stop them nearly a day ago, even though they fired at them, to no avail. Given, only the lead and the fifth tank had cannons. As for the others, the second and fourth had miniguns, and the third had missiles in what was basically a large rotating drum, so basically a bigger, slower minigun that fired guided missiles. All of them had basic machine guns of some sort, mounted on top of the main turret, as well as a coaxial gun on all but the mini-gun tanks as it would've been highly redundant for them. The ones mounted on top could operate independantly from the main weapon, but since they were practically useless against agron and the mews, they were of little value. The miniguns were constructed in a way that the spinning barrels where set inside a thicker steel barrel. Protecting them from damage.

All in all, despite the world they came from, these were the most advanced tanks we had ever seen, and they hadn't even shown us all their tricks yet.

"Armor integrity is failing." One of the rocket agents reported as he stared at his watch, which apparently double as a sort of heads-up display. "It's taking too much fire, I'll need to with draw soon."

The tanks just kept comming closer. I then realized it was too loud and too far away for aggron to hear me.

"Should I try an earthquake attack?." I asked.

"I'm going in." Christine said.

"Are you crazy? It's bullet hell." I said as the fire from numerous machine guns rattled off in the background, a sound that more closely resembled a buzz then gun fire.

"The mew xs aren't the only ones with armor." She said as she popped the trunk of her car.

"You got another set?" Phoebe asked.

"No, sadly." She replied as she started to pull various pieces of armor out of the trunk.

"Now, one of you needs to help me with this." She said.

"I will." Phoebe replied.

Anyway, Aggron was doing his best to hold the lead tank back, slamming the barrel multiple times, trying to bend it, trying to just do something to it. He could slow it down a little bit, and then it finally happened, he ran back to get some speed for another slam, he ended up pushing back several feet, and then a loud, metallic snap was heard. After that the tank lost all ability to move on it's own, though it was still firing it's machine guns, and even it's lights still worked, it was obvious it had experienced some sort of mechanical failure with it's drivetrain and was unable to continue. The others stopped trying to defend it and continued to move towards the city, they were getting close enough now that we had to take cover. Agron and the mews moved on to target the other tanks. Though the first one was still dangerous, it wasn't going anywear.

" Armor is reaching critical level, return now!" A rocket agent spoke into his watch. A mew x was down for now, well sort of, really it wasn't hurt, it's just it's armor was about to fall apart.

"Does that thing have a speakerphone?" I asked.

"Yeah, why? " The agent asked.

"Put it on speaker phone." I said.

"Ok wait, don't return just yet." The agent said. While his mew just hovered in place. A dark silhoette just barely illuminated by the lead-tanks still functioning headlights. Even though it was hovering in place, the machine gun fire naturally focused on the others that were currently pursuing the 4 remaining tanks.

Anyway, I used the agent's watch to speak to aggron, since it was the only way I could at the time.

"Whatever you're doing agron, keep it up, I don't know how but you broke that other one, just hang in there allright?" I said into the watch. "Keep their cannons from aiming at you." I said.

"Gron." I heard him both on the watch and in the distance, confirming that he had heard me.

"Allright thanks that's all I needed to say." I said to the agent who then withdrew his arm.

"Ok return now, hurry." The agent commanded.

"So it just snaps together like this?" Phoebe asked.

"Yes, and then I need the watch." Christine replied as she wrapped the watch around her wrist.

"Ok I'm going in." Christine announced, now fully dressed in armor that was similiar to the mew's.

"It's about time the rest of you retreat, if they make it just a bit further their guns will be trained on you." She said to all the other agents.

-meanwhile in the now broken lead tank-

"What's the damage report? Why aren't we moving?" Volkheim asked.

"That damn beast burst the hose on the left hydraulic motor, we lost all our fluid, everything else is fine, but all hydraulics are down." Lt. Jeffries replied. "We can't even aim the cannon."

Of all the things that could fail, it was a hose, a 3ft piece of steel reinforced, vulcanized rubber tubing that connected the hydraulic pump to one of two drive motors that powered either side of the tank.

"Well, atleast we know we made it to the extradimensional's home world." Volkheim replied. "We'll wait until they get far enough away, then we'll abandon ship."

"What about phase 2?" Jeffries asked.

"We really need to fix that hose." Volkheim insisted.

The battle continued, the tanks kept firing and it quickly became obvious that we had gotten lucky in taking down the first one. The stopped firing their machine guns, either because they ran out of ammo, or they realized they weren't doing any good. They began to separate, with the fifth tank in particular attempting to gain some distance in order to use its cannon. This didn't work, however, as Aggron instinctively began to go after it, as it was further away from those pesky machine guns. While Christine and the mews tried to slow down the other three that were still heading down the road towards the city. Moments later we retreated further back along with the rocket agents, trying to stay out of range of the machine guns. We were nearly on the edge of town now.

"The blimp brigade is still an hour and a half away." One of the rocket agents replied.

"I got an idea, we could freeze the road." I said to Phoebe. "Draco knows icebeam right?"

"Yes, but the guns will hurt him." She replied.

"Haven't you noticed they stopped firing?" I asked, more than likely they'd ignore us and focus on the mew xs anyway.

"Ok, let's do it." She agreed as she retrieved his pokeball from her purse.

We both ran ahead of the rocket agents, who were monitoring their mew's armor levels.

"Allright then, Bubba, let's go, just use hydro pump to cover the road with water and hurry!" I said as I sent him out.

"Ok Draco, freeze the water with ice beam." Phoebe said as she sent out her dragonair.

Combining both attacks led to a lot of ice building up on the road in short order. It was quite a thing to see.

"What the heck kind of pokemon are those? " One of the rocket agents asked.

"Pokemon from our world look different, I don't know why." Phoebe replied "Bubba is a blastoise, Draco is a dragonair, and I'm a gardevoir."

"A legless dragonair?" The agent questioned.

"You think it's frozen enough?" Phoebe asked, ignoring the agents question as it was pretty obvious Draco had no legs.

"I don't know, we just have to hope." I replied, "Hope they don't break through it."

"Ok Draco return!" She said as she went and returned said pokemon, prompting me to return Bubba as well, then we ran back to rejoin the others, behind a sheet of ice that covered the road for about 30 feet.

Aggron continued to pursue the fifth tank which was trying to escape, but it was like a snail trying to run from, well anything really. Aggron kept attacking it and while the tank didn't seem to be taking any damage itself, it had to be one rough ride for the crew. Eventually it veered off the road, and then plowed through several trees before hitting a large rock and subsequently digging itself into the ground before finally stalling out. It sat still for a moment, before starting back up again and trying to back out, but at that point it had dug too deep and had high-centered itself. It stopped moving for good once Aggron slammed into it several times. I wasn't sure if it was because it was damaged or the crew was turned to mush, to be honest, I didn't really want to know. They could've just been playing dead. No matter what happened, tank 5 was stuck, so we were now down to three.

When the tanks hit the ice they were stalled for just a few seconds, and it was just a bit easier for Christine and the mews to hold them back, Phoebe pitched in as well while agron charged at the fourth, only to slip on the ice and fall on top of it with a very loud crash. Pushing it forward several feet with such force that it snapped off one of the treads. It was obvious agron was hurt. Tank 2 suddenly opened fire, Phoebe teleported to safety, tank 4, now party imobilized, began to fire at the rocket agents, who quickly retreated to the safety of their cars.

Tank 3, currently unopposed, continued to proceed towards the city. And then Agron, still on the ground, grabbed tank two by the turret, putting his gigantic, armored hand in front of the barrel. At point blank the pain must have been immense, but it was a bold move and the gun destroyed itself before it could punch through his hand. Tank two's main weapon was down. Aggron was getting pretty beat up, and he was starting to get tired. His hand was hurt, and that fall could have done some major internal damage, which for the record, is a serious problem for larger Aggrons when they fall. Tank 2 pulled him a few feet forward before he let go. Phoebe teleported me up to him, and after waiting for him to try to get back up to no avail, I decided to go and return him,as he was obviously hurt. We were definitely going to have to go to the center after this. That said, he did a good job, as we were now down to 2 and a half tanks. The rest would be up to Christine and the rocket agents.

"See, I told you we couldn't have won earlier. " I said after aggron was safe inside his ball.

"Yeah, I'm glad we waited." Phoebe replied.

" We can wait to finish them until we're in a another world with the space police." I joked.

"Or we could just leave them in that world." Phoebe added.

"Hehe, yeah." I replied.

The tanks had very nearly made it to main street, or two of them were mobile now, the third was the closest, while the second, now only armed with a basic machine gun, was lagging behind, 5 was stuck, and the crew was possibly dead, 1 was broken, and 4 had working weapons but could only go in circles.

Nobody was watching tank 1 at the moment, and that was when Volkheim and crew took the opportunity to escape and begin recovery operations, they ran into the forrest along side the road for cover and from there they headed for tank 5. Where they found the crew battered and unconcious. Volkheim then had his crew salvage one of the hydraulic hoses, along with a fuel can full of hydraulic fluid, then they ran back to tank 1 and proceeded to repair it. 20 minutes later tank 1 was running again. They turned out the lights and quietly made their way over to tank five, pulled it out of it's predicament, and sent two of their own crew members over to command it. It's turret was disabled, do to missing a hydraulic hose, but it was able to move. From there they stealthily headed back to the road in the moonlight. it was hard to see them without their lights on, and it was hard to hear them over the other tanks which were much closer. We didn't know they were up and running again until tank 1 fired it's cannon.

It was loud, much louder than the machine guns. Christine and the mews managed to slow it down, but the shell exploded and sent all of them flying before they could even get back up , another shot was heard, one of the mew xs was hit directly and was disintegrated, and the one beside it was critical. Christine and the two other mews were thrown far enough away from the first blast to be unnaffected by the second. At that point Christine teleported away, the remaining mews were recalled, and the rockets began to retreat.

"They're too strong, we can't hold them back anymore, we have to retreat. " Christine said as she came back, as the remaining mews teleported back to their respective trainers.

"We lost one of the mews, boss is not going to be happy." She continued.

"Who is your boss?" I asked.

"It's not important, we need to get out of here." She continued.

"We just have to hope they can't do much damage in the 45 minutes they have until the blimps get here."

By the time we ran to the pokemon center regrouped and came back, the tanks had invaded the city, all five of them were operational again, except tank 2's main weapons were still down, tank 5's turret was down, and tank 1 was running even slower than usual due to having a very low amount of hydraulic fluid. Tank 4 was now leading the way. This time Christine and the mews attacked them from behind, in an attempt to lure them out of the city. While Phoebe and I took to the roofs and froze the street in front of them. The street was narrower than the road, and this meant they couldn't easilly manuever around eachother. So while aggron was out, only tank 4 was able to fire at him. Phoebe and I had to keep teleporting from building to building to avoid being spotted.

"I thought we hurt this thing, how did it heal so quickly?" Volkheim asked as aggron was holding them back.

"I don't know. " Lt. Jeffries replied. "Maybe it's a different one?"

"No, it can't be, the scratches on its chest match perfectly." Volkheim observed.

"As long as it's here we can't get through." Lt. Jeffries stated the obvious. "The road is too slick, the miniguns do nothing to it and we can't get around to fire the cannon."

"Well then I suppose we'll have to activate phase two." Volkheim said. "Radio the others, tell them to be ready."

"Right." Lt. Jeffries replied as Volkheim prepared for phase two.

We didn't know it at the time, but things were about to go from bad to worse. The tanks lined up in a perfectly straight line and coupled together. And before we could start to wonder why they did that, things got even stranger. To put things simply, they began to transform into a giant robot, that was even taller than aggron. The icy road shattered beneath its weight, both the ice and the road itself. I could see the fear in aggron's eyes as he looked at it, and I honestly couldn't blame him. While it was somewhat amusing to see him scared, as a responsible trainer, I returned him before he became a new addition to a nearby building, and then Phoebe and I got the hell out of there. There was nothing we could do to stop something that big. Christine and the rockets had the same idea. It went on a rampage and started destroying the buildings around us, thank god the police evacuated them before this all started. The rockets retreated. There was no stopping it now. We were separated from Christine and the others for the moment, they drove off in their cars so there was no way to catch up to them. Phoebe led us out of the city, and into the forrest where we could hide in safety. Once we were a safe distance away we watched the atrocity.

"Well this all went to crap." I said, barely audible over the destruction.

"What are we going to do now Cj?" Phoebe asked, using telepathy to circumvent the noise.

"I don't know." I replied.

Once the robot had pretty much flattened every building in the area, it continued to head down the street, thinking there was no way we could've survived that.

It stopped once it reached the police roadblock.

"Surrender your weapons and we shall negotiate." Volkheim said on a loudspeeker.

The police, even more overwhelmed than we were, simply complied, once all their weapons and even their pokeballs were on the ground, a hatch opened up on tank four, which now comprised the robot's left leg and foot, and one of the spacemen crawled out. As soon as we saw the robot stop moving, Phoebe and I made our way to a nearby building to watch, Christine and the rockets were nowhere to be seen.

I couldn't help but notice that the spaceman had left the hatch on the tank open.

"You thinking what I'm thinking?" I asked my beloved who was right beside me.

"No, there's no way, he can't fit in there." She replied.

"We could try." I replied.

"We have our window." I said.

"Mhm." She replied.

"Let's get down to ground level." I said as I took her hand.

She teleported us to a nearby alleyway a moment later, as I pulled magnum's pokeball out of my pocket.

I clicked the button and sent him out.

"Magna!" He announced.

"Shh! You need to be quiet ok, we can't be spotted, now look, you see that opening on that robot over there? Why don't you just mozy on over and see if you can get inside?" I said as I pointed it out to him. "Just be quiet about it and zap everyone you see. He noticed the opening and then quietly began to hover to it. An advantage the magnemite family have is that they can move without making a sound, as they rely on manipulation of magnetic fields. The police saw him, plain as day, but they knew what he was up to so they kept quiet about it.

Magnum was able to successfully sneak inside the robot. I couldn't tell you what happened after that, but moments later lots of yelling and electrical crackles could be heard, coming from within the tank and then a few more moments later the robot fell on it's tank-shaped arse with a really loud thud that sent the officers and even the lone spaceman to the ground, and then it laid down on it's back with an equally loud thud, before they could even think to get back up and then Magnum re-emerged from the opening, unscathed, while the police promptly reclaimed their weapons and pokemon, arrested the space man and stormed into the tank to arrest the others. After that I just wanted to leave and get to the pokemon center, but Phoebe forced me to approach the officers, as she came out of the alley and approached them herself, and because of that, we spent nearly 2 hours answering questions, before we got back to the center in the other town, where Henry and Claire were waiting. We were all having dinner together in the lobby when Christine came in. It was so late we were the only ones in the lobby, we were lucky the nurse was kind enough to make us dinner, of course it was the usual pokemon center fair, but it was nice to have some real food, better than the candybars we had been eating for the last few days.

"Hey it's team runaway." I said.

"We didn't have much of a choice." Christine defended. " After they turned into that robot thing my men panicked and returned their pokemon and before I could even say anything they were already heading for their cars. The police told me what you did, they said it was stupid, but brave. You undoubtedly saved them a lot of trouble."

"Well come on, get some food and sit down with us." Phoebe warmly insisted.

Surprisingly, she did so.

"So, now that the tanks are taken care of, where are you all going to go?" Christine asked.

"Do you have any portal machines? " I asked in return.

"We can't stay here, we have to keep going so we can get back to our children." Phoebe added.

"Wait, you have children? With him?" She said, surprised.

"One's adopted, but yes, Charley is our biological son." Phoebe replied.

"You mean, he got you pregnant?" Christine asked.

"Mhm. " Phoebe replied.

"But, he's human, that shouldn't be possible." Christine seemed to be incredibly confused, Henry and Claire didn't see anything off about it and just kept eating.

"In our world they found a way to make it possible." Phoebe replied.

"Did you have sex?" Christine asked.

"That's not awkward at all." I replied.

"Yes, we did." Phoebe answered, a little too open for my personal taste, but that's just Pheebles.

"Um we're just going to go upstairs." Claire interjected as she and Henry got up from the table.

"Yeah you go do that, we might be here awhile." I replied.

"And he got you pregnant?" Christine asked.

"Yes, but it's a bit more complicated than that." I said. "On our world have devon makes these pills that make it possible for human\gardevoir couples to concieve children, but they're in limited circulation, of course since we work for Devon, we had access before the general public and then somebody got a little bit carried away the night after the Johto League finals."

"Really? I said I was sorry." She defended

"You still did it though, you put on this crazy illusion, gave me the pill without my knowledge, and then when I snapped out of it we were already done." I said.

"I didn't think you'd let me any other way." She defended. "I just wanted a baby."

"Eh whatever Pheebles, it was a long time ago, besides, it was worth it." I said as I pulled her close, not wanting her to feel guilty, as well as ultimately being glad that Charley was born.

"Then why'd you bring it back up? " She asked.

"Because it was a good story." I replied. "Nothing more than that, so do you have portals here or not?" I said as I turned towards Christine.

"We do!" Christine replied." But they're far away on Cinnabar Island."

"Cinnabar?" Phoebe said excitedly.

"You'll have to wait till tomorrow to get there, it's much too late now." Christine said.

"Wouldn't that be the same facility we found Nina in?" I asked my beloved.

"I believe so, but Nina probably wasn't even born in this world." Phoebe said. "Think about it, her birth was pretty much directly caused by evil team Rocket."

"Maybe she's at one of Devon Co's facilities." I replied.

"It's Team Devon, not Devon Co, they aren't a corporation." Christine corrected, though we weren't really paying attention.

"Cj, even if that was the true she wouldn't know us anyway." Phoebe defended.

"Yeah, your right, she might even hate us. " I replied.

"Mhm, it's best not to think about it, no more talking about that ok? It's not our Nina." Phoebe insisted.

"And Nina is?" Christine asked.

"Our daughter." Phoebe replied.

"Ok."

"So are you staying here tonight Christine or where are you going to go? " Phoebe asked. "They have nice beds in these centers, you could stay the night." I knew right then and there what she was trying to do.

"Yeah you're right it is getting late, and it's a long drive back to Saffron." Christine agreed. "I'll guess I'll just get a room here then, then I need to get you two a flight to Cinnabar tomorrow."

"Ok, great." Phoebe replied as Christine got up and headed to the front desk.

Phoebe and I finished our meal a few minutes later and then went up to our room.

"Do you think we could, have a threesome with nice Christine? " She said in front of the bathroom mirror once we were alone.

"I knew you were going to ask." I replied, I could tell by the look she gave at the dinner table.

"We could share her, together." She said. "We could just have a little more fun than usual tonight."

"Yeah I suppose we could, but the real question is are you going to cry afterwards?" I asked.

"I promise I won't, it will just be one night." She insisted.

"Knowing you if it goes well you'll want more." I said.

"True, but we can always find other girls Cj, to share." She said.

"Well, sometimes I just want you." I weakly defended.

"You can have me every other night." She replied. "Unless I'm tired or I just don't feel like it."

"Come on, you know for a fact you can't get her pregnant, you know for a fact that we're never going to see her again after this." "It's not like Corina or Cionna even, or even Nya." She tried to defend her proposition.

"And you cried with Cionna, and Nya, and Corina was just a bad idea to begin with. We see her everyday, even though we didn't go through with it, you know how awkward it is now?"

"What if she says something to Melissa?" I added. "You're going to have fun explaining that."

"I know, I know, she won't, she promised, but Cj that's meaningless here." She defended.

"And how are you going to get her to agree to this?" I asked.

"Just leave it to me." She insisted.

"You going over there now?"

"Yes." She replied. "I'll get her room from the nurse."

"Why don't you think it over for a little bit?" I suggested.

"You got it in your head that you want it so bad you're not thinking about the consequences." I said, trying to get her to think with her head.

"What consequences?" She said with mild hysterics as she left the bathroom.

"Phoebe you know I just don't want you to hurt yourself." I said.

"I know." She agreed.

"It's a bit late now anyway, she's probably tired." I said.

"Oh, I'm sure I could work something out, now lay down I need to get you ready." She insisted.

"No, we need to get you ready." I insisted as I wrapped my arms around her and carried her over to the bed.

"Well are you going to bring her in then?" She asked as I ignored the question and set about removing her panties.

"Well are . . . . . . you . . . .?" Once I had my tongue in her, it was hard for her to concentrate.

"I don't think we need her at all do we?" I asked as I slid my hands under her dress and massaged her nipples before going back for more.

"No, no we don't." She replied.

And it almost worked, but just before I was about to take my pants off,

-Christine knocks on the door-

"Huh?"

I withdrew from Phoebe for a moment in disbelief.

"Why'd you stop?" She asked.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"I need to tell you about tomorrow, we got a flight booked for you." Christine said.

Phoebe, who was not yet aroused enough for her powers to quick working, used said powers to open the door.

"Pheebles what the?" I exclaimed as the door swung open.

"Oh I uh, I see you guys are in the middle of something." Christine said awkwardly as Phoebe moved to cover herself, I guess she forgot she wasn't wearing panties anymore.

"You want to join?" Phoebe asked without fear while I was too embarassed to say anything.

"Um." As anyone of sound mind in that position would say.

"Come on, we were just talking about you." Phoebe said as she got out of bed.

"Come on, just one night, we're going to leave this world tomorrow, you'll never see us again, and you already know my husband can't get either of us pregnant." She said, confidently.

"So what will it be, a threesome with us or all alone?" Phoebe continued.

"Let me freshen up first." She replied.

"Ok, sure." Phoebe agreed.

Christine promptly shut the door.

"-sighs-, so close." I said, defeated in my attempt to secure a night alone with my beloved.

"Yeah, like you weren't staring at her earlier." Phoebe argued.

" Yeah, well."

"Well, nothing, she's beautiful, we both think she is so why can't we enjoy her together?"

"Um, you want to get started before she comes back?" I asked.

"Sure, but take it slow." She replied as we started to make out.

Minutes later we were rolling around naked on the bed, Phoebe wouldn't let me go any further until Christine returned though as I proceeded to cover her in kisses we began to wander if she was even going to come. As I made it from her lips to her toes for what must have been the fourth time, with my shaft as hard as I ever, I really wanted more.

"Baby girl, I don't think she's going to come back." I said as I oggled at her naked body, she was fully aroused, so how she managed not to tell me to shove it in yet, was really unlike her and completely beyond me.

"She'll come back, she said she would." She meekly replied.

"Honey, I'm ready to go." I said. "I need that sweet little pussy of yours."

"She'll come back." She defended.

"Honey, she's not comming back, she doesn't want to so just " I noticed she was looking off to the left, my left, so I looked to the left too, and there was Christine, standing there naked, already aroused, she must have playing with herself. Her nipples were really dark, her breasts were very nicely shaped, but a bit smaller than Phoebe's which were as big gray and amazing as ever.

"Is this another illusion?" I asked, aroused, but confused about Christine's sudden appearence.

"Cj if this was an illusion she wouldn't have left to begin with." Phoebe replied.

"Well damn."

"I think he likes what he sees." Phoebe commented.

"Hehe, sorry I took so long, I needed a bit to think about it." Chrisitine said.

"Yep this is an illusion." I said, still not believing it.

"Just wait till tomorrow, then see if it's an illusion." Phoebe said. "You have nothing to lose."

"Yeah well, if it's an illusion you won't get as much sleep will you?"

Before I knew it Christine had her arms wrapped around me. "I am not an illusion." She said. Which didn't really prove anything.

"Are you sure your ok with this? " She asked my beloved.

"Sometimes I think she really doesn't know." I replied.

"Of course I am." Phoebe said as she got out of bed and wrapped her arms around me as well. "I wouldn't have invited you if I wasn't, now let's stop standing around naked and have some fun."

Anyway, the next morning I woke up between two amazingly beautiful black as night, and the other white as snow. Of course Christine wouldn't be comming with us, but it was a fun night, one Phoebe and I would never forget, and it was the first time we had done such a thing without Phoebe feeling completely horrible afterwards, in fact, after Christine snuck back to her room in the morning, we just layed there alone in absolute bliss. I was tired, as I had barely slept that night, I'd screw one of them, then tie with Pheebles, then the bond would wear off and the other one would be ready, but I always tied with Pheebles each time, as I couldn't tie with Christine of course, because we weren't close enough. Then one time I woke up to them making out, and I ended up screwing both of them, before tying with Pheebles once again, and they may have played with eachother a few more times while I was asleep, but, well we were sharing her after all. I slept the most in the early moring. Only waking up to a kiss.

"I need to go, it's morning." Christine whispered after waking me with a kiss. "Thankyou."

"Mhm, no problem." I struggled to say, just barely aware of what was happening. Phoebe on the other hand was out like a light, I don't even think she felt her kiss goodbye. Christine got up and teleported away, while I just layed there next to my babygirl for a few minutes, until she started to wake up as well.

"Where'd she go?" She asked, barely awake and highly confused.

"Baby girl, she left, are you ok?" I asked, concerned as this was usually when she would start to cry, not because our toy for the night left, but because she started to have second thoughts about the entire thing when we were alone once again.

"I'm fine." She tiredly replied. "That was fun."

"Yeah, I guess it was." I replied feeling as if a bullet had been dodged.

"So, was she better than me?" She asked, more curious than concerned.

"You know that answer is always going to be no, you're my baby girl, I'll never be more connected to anyone as much as I am to you." I replied.

"Good answer." She said before giving me a kiss. "I feel the same way Cj." She said, sincerely.

"No more threesomes." She said.

"Yeah, we'll see how long that last." I said, taking that with a grain of salt.

"I mean it. " She said.

"Mhm, just like you meant you aren't a princess." I replied.

"You don't believe me?" She asked.

"I don't know, we'll just have to see." I replied.

"Love you baby." I said.

"Love you." She replied.

"Alone time in the shower?" She asked.

"Sure, I think I can do one more round." I replied.

We got out of bed together, we showered together, we got dressed together, and then we went down to the lobby for breakfast, together, where Henry and Claire were already waiting.

"So, how'd you sleep?" Henry asked in a manner that couldn't have been more obvious that he knew what we did.

"Amazing." Phoebe replied before I could even think of a way to answer.

"Hehe, yeah I bet." Claire said.

"What? We're married, we can have fun sometimes." Phoebe defended.

"Mhm." Claire replied in disbelief.

"Not like you didn't do the exact same thing in the last world." I added.

"So what are we doing today? " Henry asked, changing the subject.

"We're supposed to take a plane to Cinnabar island." I replied as Christine came down the stairs, looking as if last night never happened, though we all knew otherwise.

"Your flight is in a few hours, I'll take you to the airport, and then that's it, I can't come with you, I have to go back to headquarters."

"and our vehicles?" I asked.

"Well we could either transport them over there, which might take awhile, or headquarters has agreed to pay you 20000 for both of them, for research purposes, and then you can buy others when you get there."

"No, you don't know what I had to do to get that." Henry replied.

I had other thoughts, If we could get like a cheep rv, with a hydro conversion, or something.

"10000 for the bus." I declared

"What? Cj?" Phoebe asked.

"We can buy another rv Pheebles."

"With a hydro conversion." I said. "We won't have to worry about fuel that way."

"Hmm, actually that's not a bad idea." Phoebe replied.

"Well we're going to have to ship them both there anyway, so, you can negotiate once we get there." Christine said. "They have the money anyway, I don't."

"Ok then, so what about the evil versions of us?" I asked.

"What about them? We can take care of them ourselves." Christine replied. "You need to get back to your kids right?"

"Mhm." Phoebe replied.

"And what about you two?" Christine asked.

"They're just kind of along for the ride." Phoebe replied.

"They wanted to explore the multiverse." I added.

"Fair enough I suppose." Christine replied. "Where are you going to go?"

"Preferably a world that has no space police and has portal technology." I said.

"You're kidding me, you know about the space police?" Christine asked.

"Yep." I replied. "How do you know them?"

"We saw them attack one of Devon's bases awhile back, out of nowhere." Christine answered.

"Aren't they the bad guys here?" Henry asked.

"It's the space police, they'll attack anybody that disobeys their laws." I replied. "Which considering accidently walking into their worlds breaks their laws, isn't all that difficult."

Eventually we finished our breakfast, got our pokemon healed, and went on a two hour road trip to the nearest airport in this world's equivalent of Goldenrod City, which was a drastically different place without Devon's influence. The city was about a half of the size it was in Phoebe's world, that said it was still pretty big, and was called Daffodil Vale instead. By equivalent, I mean it was in the same geographic location the heart of Goldenrod City would be in. Hell, the magnet train didn't even exist.

In contrast Cinnabar island, still resembled Cinnabar Island, the architectural style and the city layout, was mostly the same, after a long plane ride in a small passenger jet, we landed at a rural airport surrounded by fields of berry trees around the base of Mt. Cinnabar, which just like in Phoebe's homeworld, is an inactive volcano. We had to wait around the airport for a few hours for our vehicles to arrive, as they were on a bigger, slower plane. I used one of the available computers at the airport to look for rvs to buy. However as we were on an island, there were not that many. There was an old city bus for sale, with a hydro-conversion, there were some commercial vans and grain trucks. Not a lot of rvs, just things that could be turned into rvs with a lot of effort. There was also a tour bus. Based on a 2000s silph co. van, It didn't have a bed, but it had a carpetted interior with a tv, and a large hydro-converted V8 for 5000, and a very colorful blue and purple paintjob, it was slightly bigger than our old one, but it was still based on a van.

"Hey Pheebles, what about this?"

"No bed, no deal." She replied.

"Baby girl, there's litterally no rvs available on this entire island. If we buy one from the mainland it will have to be shipped here for more money, and then we'll have to wait several days for it to come."

"We can take some seats out and put a bed in it, just like the old one, hell at this price we could probably pay somebody to do it for us." I suggested. "I mean look, it even has a tv."

"Hmmm, ok, I'll call them." She said.

"Ok." I said as she went to use a nearby phone. It was like a payphone but it didn't cost anything to use, which was great because none of us had a working cellphone, due to the cellular networks here being different.

"So when is my car going to get here?" Henry asked.

"I don't know, they shipped it out on a slower plane, probably just have to wait a few hours." I replied while Phoebe was on the phone in the background.

"Are you really going to sell your bus?" Claire asked.

"If I can get a better vehicle why wouldn't I? I'm surprised he's not."

"It's a camaro man." Henry said as he approached us from the counter.

"Yeah but cars here have a little technology known as hydro-conversion, it means they run on water." I said. "You don't have to worry about filling up on gas or diesel."

"Is there a way to equip it with a hydro conversion?" Henry asked.

"If we can find a shop that can do it yeah." I replied. "We did it to her camaro."

"She has a camaro?" He asked.

"Back home." I replied.

"Anyway, we're going to have to find a shop to get the bus worked on anyway, so yeah, we might have time. "

We litterally spent the rest of the day getting our vehicle situation in order. Once our vehicles arrived at the airport, we went to the Rocket laboratory, also known as Cinnabar Mansion, which in this world wasn't completely derelict. Once there we sold our bus to the scientists, and recieved ten thousand pokedollars, which we then took to where the tour bus was being sold and immediately purchased it. Then we used the rest of the money to do some work, before we ever left the place we bought the bus from I gave 1000 to Henry for a hydroconversion, in addition to that they went off on their own shopping spree, while we spent several hundred on carpentry supplies including tools, wood and various bits of hardware, we also took a trip to the pokemart and bought some more potions and full heals.

Before long our new bus was stripped of all but the front four rows of seats, 5 on the left side, It was an 8 row, 14 seat bus, 8 rows on the left and 7 on the right but we took out the back 3 rows of seats to make room for the bed. We flipped the 3rd row bench on the right around and made a crude table out of 2x4s and plywood between it and the 4th row, spacing them slightly further apart than normal. With a nice-sized bed directly behind the table that we literally just bought new from a furniture store, complete with pillows and sheets, and the best part was we actually had a driver's seat, as well as a few cheep powertools I needed to build the table, which stored nicely in the luggage rack within their hard plastic cases.

It wasn't that much bigger than our last bus, but it was definitely an upgrade all around. We kept the weird ocean blue and purple paint job, although Phoebe decided once again to paint "love is eternal" on the side in black gardevoirian symbols. It was a challenge to spend all 10000 dollars really, we even bought a bunch of video discs to use with the tv, while Phoebe bought some new clothes, and eventually persuaded me to do so as well, and we still had over 1000 left. We met up with Henry and Claire back at the laboratory, they went to a different store and bought some clothes as well, especially Henry, who hadn't had access to new clothes in quite some time, while Claire had brought a few bags of things with her and didn't really need much. By the time we got back to the lab it was closed, so we ended up spending a bit more on a nice hotel, just cause we could.

The hotel was beautiful and had a nice indoor pool with an incredible view that overlooked the shore, which we couldn't use, as Claire was the only one that had brought any swimwear. Tired from a combination of last night, an uncomfortable plane ride, and running around the island all day, Phoebe and I simply retreated up to our room, leaving Claire and Henry on their own.

"Well here we are baby girl, the best bed we're going to have for awhile." I said as I set some shopping bags of clothes down and layed down on the bed, exhausted.

"It can't be better than the one we just put in the bus" she replied.

"Ehh, I don't know." I said as she set her purse down and peeked into the bathroom.

"Woah look at this!" She exclaimed. "There's a hot tub in here."

"Really?" I asked as she went and turned it on.

"Cj, come on, you know we have to use it." She said.

"We need to change into our new clothes anyway, and get these old ones washed." "So why don't you just come in here already, you know you love me."

"I do love you baby, but there's a limit to how many times I can love you in a given period." I said.

"Ok fine, I'll just take a bath by myself." She said as she closed the door. "Stubborn."

"Ok whatever." I said as I tried to make myself more comfortable on the bed.

- 5 minutes later-

"Cj please come in, this tub is too big for me alone, I could drown." She yelled.

"In like what 2ft of water?" I said as I looked around for the tv remote, until curiousity got the best of me and I went in to see her standing there, naked.

"What are you doing baby girl?" I asked.

"Just watching the tub fill up, come in here. " She playfully demanded.

"I can't guarantee anything ." I said as I began to undress

"Oh shut it, you'll be hard within the hour I just know it." She said.

"You're already getting hard you big baby." She said when she could see it for herself.

"Baby girl, I'm tired as hell."

"I am too, but as long as that can fit in this we can still have fun. It will be just like the way you wanted things last night." She replied. "And then we can get cleaned up, we can get some nice new clothes to change into tomorrow, and then we'll enter the next world, good as new, but right now, I need you, to lay with me, in this hot tub." She said in a way that was trying to be serious, but was really quite comical.

"If you don't want to have sex that's fine, but atleast just lay with me." She begged.

"Aren't those kind of the same?" I asked.

"You know what I mean." She replied. "I need you." She looked at me with those deep red eyes that were just impossible to say "no" to. It was obvious she was using sex as an escape, a way to cover her constant worrying for Charley, ever since she stopped being sad about him, she had been very, very generous, to put it kindly. She wasn't able to cope as well as me, but she was trying.

I just wrapped my arms around her and pulled her close. We kissed back and forth for a moment as the tub filled up, and then we finally got in it, and I just held her close as the warm water surrounded us. Like we had done in another hotel, so long ago, true we hadn't aged much since then, but in that moment it felt like we had. Revives may have kept our bodies young, but our minds reflected our true age.

"Isn't this nice?" She asked, breaking a silence that had persisted for several minutes.

"It's allright." I said. "Are you feeling ok?"

"Is our love fading?" She asked out of the blue.

"No, baby, these are tough times." I said. "You're always my baby girl, my queen."

"Promise?" She asked.

"Do you promise?" I asked.

"I promise I'll alway be yours if you'll always be mine." She said.

"Ok, fair enough." I replied. "I promise."

"and our love isn't fading baby, we just didn't sleep much last night and we've been running around all day." "It's hard to be in love with anything after all that."

"Ok." She replied, taking my words to heart, which seemed to put her at ease for a moment.

The silence came back for a few minutes, and then the bubbles came, and it all just melted away for awhile. It was a very relaxing evening, so far, a nice change of pace.

"Cj, do you think we'll ever see Charley again?" She asked, breaking up the monotonous roar of the bubble jets.

"Baby girl, why are you thinking we won't?" I asked in return.

"Because, I just feel so far from home. So far from my baby boy, I miss him so much."

"And Nina, and my parents, what if they're evil in this world?" She asked.

"I don't see why it would matter, we're nowhere near Sinnoh." I replied. "We don't even know if Nina exists in this world.

"And that's another thing, how many more worlds Cj?" She asked.

"I have no idea." I replied.

"What if I forget how to be a good mother?" She asked.

"Now that's a bunch of nonsense." I said. "I don't even think that's something you can forget."

Just calm down Pheebles, we're naked, in a hot tub, enjoy it." I insisted. "Don't tell me you wanted me to join you so badly just so you could get upset about things we can't control. I love you baby girl, but damn you worry a lot. More than enough for the both of us."

"So just settle down ok, relax." I said."Do you remember the first time we did this?"

"It was in a tub much smaller than this, in a little house out in the middle of nowhere. You came in and you layed right on top of me." I said as I put my arm around her and pulled her close to me.

"I'm not sure if I remember correctly but I think that was the same house where we did it for the very first time."

"No, that was a different house." She said.

"Are you sure?" I asked as I honestly couldn't remember, back then we were in a different house almost every day.

"I don't know Cj." She said, sounding somewhat distressed."That was a long time ago."

"Yes it was baby girl, but remember when I did this?" I said as I began to gently massage her npples.

"Ohhh Cj." She moaned out of pleasure.

"Yeah and that's exactly what you said too." I said softly while continuing to please her, as it seemed to be helping. "And then we had some fun afterwards?"

"Yes, we did, I remember." She said as I kissed her cheek.

"Mhm."

"Now stop." She insisted, pushing my hands away.

"Just trying to make you feel good baby." I said.

"I'm still sore from last night." She said. "If you make them grow they'll start to hurt."

"So am I." I replied. "That's why I didn't want too earlier."

"She squeezed you too hard too hmm?" She asked.

"Honey, I did it like 6 times last night between the two of you. It was going to hurt regardless, and that's if you weren't messing around when I was asleep."

"Hehehe, well maybe we could use a potion." She said.

"Seems a bit of a waste." I replied. "Using what is probably the most powerful medicine in existence to further your addiction."

"We can buy more while we here." She said while she carefully used her powers to bring one in from the main room. The door slowly opened and the potion bottle just came floating in, the lid opened and the entire bottle dumped itself into the tub, tinting the water a light pink color. Somehow that was still mesmorizing, despite the fact that I've her and various other psychics do things like that many times before.

"Did we really need to use the entire bottle?" I asked.

"Yes, for a potion bath." She replied.

"Is that a thing?" I asked as I began to feel a tingling sensation, not just on the obvious, but around my entire body, except for areas that weren't submerged.

"Yes it is." She replied.

"You pour a potion into the bath and then the water gains a healing property." She said.

"Though is does dillute it, a lot." She replied.

"And how do you know about this?"

"I just figured it would work." She said, translation, she made it up.

"And how do we know if it does?" I asked.

"Um, you can rub my boobies again ? " She said as cutely as she could.

"Hehe, you like that don't you baby?" I asked playfully.

"Mmmm, you know I do." She replied, just as playfully.

It wasn't the first time we've had sex in a hot tub, and it probably wouldn't be the last. Surprisingly, the potion bath worked wonders, every minor pain just dissapeared. From scratches we had received out in the forrest, from muscle soreness, to bugbites, everything healed up perfectly. Unfortunately it did nothing to change our tiredness, however and the sex was slow and awkward, to the point where we almost considered calling it quits, however we managed somehow, and we even ended up tied, so we just held eachother close while we talked about the past, and about our lives before Charley was born, along with the admittedly bad sex, that seemed to be enough to keep her happy for the evening. I was hoping that we could find an alternative to sex, as it's over abundance was beginning to hurt it's value, but so far that seemed to be the best way to keep her from going on and on about Charley and generally being miserable. Above all I just wanted her to be happy, because her sadness quickly became my sadness.

-meanwhile-

Without our knowledge, Henry was battling some guy who had a relatively larger pokemon that was this world's equivalent of a krabby. It didn't go well. Water against Water and his Totodile barely had any experience. The "krabby" had more training and as the minutes passed and more blows were exchanged it began to show. It ended up being a long battle that he couldn't possibly win. The krabby was just too strong for the relatively young totodile to handle. Eventually his totodile was at the point of exhaustion and couldn't take anymore, while the krabby was ready for another round. After that, Claire challenged the same guy with her chikorita and while it got very close to taking the krabby down, it fell in about the same amount of time. After that they both left the hotel and took their pokemon to a center that was just down the street.

For both of them, working with pokemon turned out to be a lot harder than they expected. A lot of it was because they kept challeging other trainers that were above their level, as they should have been working with other trainers who had just started, most of which were kids, but instead they were challenging other adults who had their pokemon for atleast several months, if not years. This got so bad their pokemon got tired of losing and refused to battle anymore and other trainers wouldn't even accept their challenges, knowing they were too weak, so they ended up retreating to their hotel room. Trying to coax their pokemon into participating in another battle.

"Come on Chikorita, you have to battle, they said you have to or you won't get any stronger." Claire insisted.

"Chika chika chiko." The grass pokemon chirped in refusal as it just looked away, it wasn't fond of battling, and it wasn't fond of it's new trainer either.

On the other hand, Henry's totodile wouldn't even listen and actively tried to escape the room. It went up to the window, and quickly decided it was too high to jump, then it went to the door, but was too short to open it, then it went into the toilet, and tried to escape through it, but it was too small. All this at a speed Henry could not keep up with. After making a mess out of the bathroom, it decided escape was impossible, so it became very, very angry instead. Until Chikorita used it's vines to open the door for it, allowing it to escape out into the hall.

"Toto toto totodile." The reptile said with glee as it ran down the hall.

"Thanks alot." Henry said, annoyed.

"She did that on her own." Clair replied.

"Chika chiko." Her chikorita responded, trying not to laugh at the trouble it had caused.

"Why did you do that? " Claire asked.

"Chika chiko." It replied matter of factly, without an ounce of guilt, while Henry took off after his runaway pokemon.

"Maybe we just need to spend more time together." Claire said. "You've only been my pokemon for a day now, and you're my first."

"Chika chikaa." It said, very glad it didn't have to battle, and more than willing to give it's new trainer a chance.

"Come on, maybe there's something on tv." Claire said as she picked her pokemon up off the table.

Henry wasn't having near as much luck, his totodile just kept running, it made it to the stairs and then kept running down them as well, until it tripped and then began to tumble down them instead in quite a spectacular fashion. It tumbled down quite a few flights of stairs until it finally smacked into a wall, hurt, but alive, albeit it's leg had broken, so it couldn't continue to run anymore, Henry finally caught up with it.

"Oh crap are you ok?" Henry asked.

"Todo Tododilllllllle!" It cried in pain.

"Great, now we're going to have to go back to the pokemon center, again." Henry said as he realized it couldn't get back up. "I left your ball in the room, just stay here I'll go get it." He said, knowing that attempting to move him in this state would likely just hurt him more.

And so Henry left his Totodile alone on the staircase, for the record this hotel was HUGE, as Cinnabar is a popular vacation destination, so it was on the 20th floor. Anyway, before Henry could come back, somebody else came up the stairs and noticed the injured pokemon, not that it was that hard, it was in a lot of pain and making a lot of noise because of it.

"Oh you poor thing, where's your trainer?" asked a kindly old woman.

"Toto toto dilleeee." The reptilian pokemon continued to cry.

"Awe, you don't know do you? " She said, thinking the pokemon was abandoned.

"How did you get hurt? Did you fall down the stairs?" She asked, while Henry's pokemon motioned towards the stairs between sobs.

"You didn't fall down on your own did you?" She insisted." Your trainer pushed you didn't he?"

Totodile just kept crying.

"Oh, come here sweety. I'll help you." The old lady slowly and carefully picked him up, then she proceeded to carry him down the stairs. "I'll protect you from that big mean trainer." She said while agitating his broken leg and making it hurt even more. Henry came back about a minute later with his pokeball, but by that time both totodile and the old lady had made it down to the 19th floor and were nowhere to be seen, and even though totodile was still crying they were too far away to be heard.

"God dammit where'd you go?." He looked down the next flight of stairs, thinking he couldn't have made it far in his condition, but he was still nowhere to be seen. Confused and terribly worried that he lost his only pokemon, he hurried back up to the room to get Claire.

"Is he going to be ok? " She asked as he came back into the room.

"I don't know, I can't find the little monster." He said.

"Chika Chico." Her chikorita spoke up.

"It's your fault, you stupid plant . . . thing, you let him out of the room." Henry said, extremely angry about the whole thing.

"Chika!" The chikorita protested.

" Don't you dare blame this on her. " Claire said. "She didn't know this would happen."

"She was laughing about it." Henry argued.

"It's your fault, you pushed him too hard so he ran away." Claire said. "The Nurse said it could happen."

"Chica." Her chikorita agreed.

"What am I going to do?"

"I don't know what are you going to do? " Claire asked.

"If he keeps heading down the stairs, he will probably end up in the lobby eventually right?" Henry asked.

"Probably." Claire said.

"So if we take the elevator we might be able to beat him there." Henry said as he ran out of the room.

Unknown to him, the old lady had caught the elevator on the 19th floor and had taken it down to the lobby along with his totodile. So when Henry got there he waited, and waited, and waited, until he eventually decided to climb the stairs himself, unfortunately, he still didn't find his pokemon. After running out of ideas, he retreated back to his room, where Claire was watching a movie on tv with her Chikorita.

"Did you find him yet?" Claire asked as he entered the room once again.

"He never came to the lobby and he wasn't on the staircase." Henry replied.

"Why don't you talk to the front desk, see if they can help. Maybe they saw him on a camera or something? " She suggested.

By the time she looked at him in anticipation of a reply, he was already gone. He took the stairs back down, just to make sure he didn't miss anything the first time. The woman behind the front desk hadn't seen his pokemon, as she had just started her shift, but she did make a call to the center down the street in case it showed up there. Feeling that there was nothing left he could do, Henry headed back to his room. He briefly thought about asking us for help, but then decided that he would rather figure it out himself.

Lucky for him, twenty minutes later he recieved a phone call from the front desk, saying that the center had called back and said that an old lady had brought his wounded pokemon in, and now it was waiting at the center for him to pick it up. So Henry went back down to the center by himself, to claim his pokemon. Which had already been healed by the center. Totodile, however, was not happy to see him. Given the pokemon's dislike of him and the circumstances, the nurse asked him question after question, trying to figure out whether he was guilty of pokemon abuse or not, as by that point the old woman had informed her that he had kicked his totodile down the stairs as if that was what actually happened. Which of course wasn't true, and after explaining what really happened, he just barely made it out of there with his pokemon. He basically had to convince the nurse that he never saw the old lady and that she made her story up. The only thing that saved him was that new trainers tend to make mistakes like this all the time, overestimating what their pokemon is capable of and getting into battles they can't possibly win. Pokemon don't like to lose, and they do need awhile to adjust to their trainers. Totodiles, in particular, can be quite temperamental when just starting out. Once he got back to the hotel he explained this all to Claire, in detail.

"So an old lady stole your pokemon?" Claire asked.

"And she said I kicked him down the stairs." Henry replied.

"Ohhh, she probably thought she was helping." Claire replied. "Did you see her there?"

"No, but I probably passed her on the way over there without realizing it." He said.

"And totodile still hates you?" She asked.

"Yep."He replied.

"Chika chiko chika." Her chikorita said from the comfort of her lap. Henry wondered why she was being so well behaved.

"How's yours?" Henry asked.

"Oh she's just a sweet little thing, she's been watching tv with me this whole time." Claire happily replied.

"Chikori." The grass type smiled.

"Maybe you should see if yours will do the same." Claire added.

"I don't even want to let mine back out." Henry said. "It might run away again, or bite me, or both."

"Well then, maybe you can talk to Cj or Phoebe about it, maybe they can help you, they've had pokemon longer than we have." She suggested.

"Yeah, maybe." Henry agreed.

While we were still in the tub and they were trying to figure out how to get Henry's pokemon to trust him, clear back in the Johto region, an angry Col. Bergman emerged from the cave with a platoon of bubblemen, determined to reclaim project behemoth and rescue Volkheim and the others that were being held in jail. They marched through the forrest and quickly raided the police station in order to get information on Volkheim's whereabouts, stealing several police vehicles and even some police-trained growlithes, though it wouldn't do them much good as they wouldn't follow orders given by anyone but their trainer. The officers pointed this out for them and their pokemon were abandoned immediately, instead they stole several empty pokeballs, weapons, potions, and other things that the police had stockpiled in the station.

Project behemoth was still laying dead in the streets, too heavy to be moved. Bergman's men recaptured it, virtually unapposed, as nobody was expecting the bubblemen to counter-attack. Everyone had thought that all of them had been dealt with. Anyway, after they started it up once again, they took it back to the cave in tank form, before anybody could respond, at that point rocket co had left and the local police were incapacitated. Bergman didn't like that Volkheim wanted to use Behemoth anyway. He wanted to get it back to base on the dead world and get it repaired immediately. This would take awhile as he effectively had two worlds to go through. While behemoth crawled back to the portal from which it came, some of the stolen pokemon technology was ferried back to the cave as well, while Bergman and a few others stole some police cars and went on a trip to the prison to rescue Volkheim. His men had the latest military hardware, bullet proof vests, full auto assault rifles and even some machine guns, in addition to the bubble suits. In essence, they were much better equipped than Volkheim's, as Volkheim wasn't counting on having to fight outside of project behemoth .

At the prison, one of the first things the police tried to do was remove Volkheim and co from their suits. This terrified the bubblemen to no end, and they threw such a fit that the police just decided to leave it well enough alone, that, and when they discoved the suits were partially connected to their bodies, it was determined that removing them would simply cost too much. They put up so much of a fight to prevent their removal that it just wasn't worth it.

Being the pokemon world, prisons work differently, the process is more streamlined, and heavilly reliant on psychological manipulation. However, Volkheim and co were still technically awaiting trial, so the only reason they were in prison was because the local jail was too small to hold all of them. So they were all placed in a holding cell by themselves, along with a couple of faceless Devon grunts that were brought in for unrelated reasons. Except for removing their suits they were otherwise quite cooperative once they were outside of behemoth.

The grunts were kind of creeped out by them and their weird suits and somewhat sickly appearence, so they didn't say much, as the bubblemen just stood in their cells, quite ominously.

"Did we lose anybody?" Volkheim asked the crowd.

"Some of us are a bit banged up, but everyone is ok." One of the others answered.

"What are we going to do now Lord Doctor?" Another asked.

"Bergman will come to our aid, I'm sure of it." Volkheim replied.

"Lord doctor, what the heck is that about?" One of the Devon grunts mockingly asked.

"Quiet you heathen." One of Volkheim's followers replied. "Watch what you say about our leader, we will not take kindly to your disrespect."

"Or what you'll make me play spaceman with you?" He mockingly asked.

"The term is bubblemen, and no, we'll just kill you." Volkheim insisted.

"Oh really? Hehehe, there's no death in this world, hasn't been for 40 years." The grunt said.

"Well then you'll be the first in 40 years." Volkheim insisted. "If you don't shut your yap."

"What ya gonna do lo-doc, shoot me with a laser beam?" He continued his mockery.

Gunshots could be heard in the background, along with the yelling of guards.

"What the hell?" The grunt said as the distant combat intensified.

"Everyone, I believe Bergman has arrived." Volkheim announced.

Not much was going on in Claire's homeworld, The bubblemen now occupied a large section of the city, after the national guard and the military in general figured out none of their usual ordinance could damage the behemoth tanks, they thought about nuking the damned things, but they held back as they realized the bubblemen weren't actually trying to kill anybody. Instead of fighting it they tried to cover it up instead, by launching a disinformation campaign and sectioning off the chunk of the city that they had traveled through. This chunk consisted of the highway from the forrest and a large portion of one of street up to the bridge before the museum, including both portals. On the outskirts they put up road closed signs, to deter vehicular traffic, but just a little bit past that there were checkpoints with armed guards to deter anyone that decided to sneak past the road signs on foot. The bubblemen, when they came through, basically ignored them. Attempts were made to speak with them, but they wouldn't speak back, believing the humans of that world to be inferior beings not worthy of their words.

Evacuating a city that large where many of the people didn't want to leave to begin with was a very difficult endeavor, so those in charge decided this was the best compromise. When some people saw the giant tanks trek back through they thought it was some sort of secret military test. And that was the story that stuck, to the point where sometime afterwards, the military of the U.S of that world made a replica of the behemoth tank, without the armor and all the features they didn't understand, like if you made a volkswagen beatle look like a Ferrari, and claimed it was a new tank being developed, with plans to later claim the project was too expensive to continue if the bubblemen ever went away. This tank was featured prominently in press photos and displayed around the country as if it were an actual vehicle intended for war, when it was amusingly little more than a stripped out version of one of their M1a1 counterparts, dressed up to look like one of the behemoth tanks. For a variety of reasons, it was actually worse than one of their standard tanks, a lot of things such as targetting software, armor thickness, and chemical and radiation protection systems were ommitted to cut cost as the vehicle was never intended to be used in combat, that said, it did serve it's purpose of convincing the general public that alien tanks were not traveling through the city, though there were many people in the area that had witnessed things for themselves and believed otherwise. The biggest question being why the military would run a test in the middle of an occupied city, with live ammunition no less. It was a very awkward situation for the government of that world, to say the least.

It wasn't long before the public connected it to the sightings and crimes commited by the bubblemen, though that was about as close to to the truth that they could comprehend. The museum's currator stepped forward, and explained the reality of interdimensional travel, but even after all they had seen, the majority didn't believe him, he no longer had the mirror to prove it, it was still in the street letting the bubblemen use it to enter the cave, but the military wouldn't let him pass the roadblock to retrieve it.

Anyway, back to Phoebe and me, eventually we had to get out of the tub, and then we got dressed in some clean underwear and got ready for bed.

"You know Pheebles, we can't keep using sex to keep you calm." I said as I layed down on the bed. "You're gonna wear me out baby girl, if you don't wear yourself out first."

"I know." She said as she layed down beside me. "It just works so well."

"Exactly." I replied, greatful that she understood. "But, it won't last."

"So what should we do then?" She asked.

"Um, I don't know, is snuggling enough?" I asked.

"I don't know, maybe if you hold me really close." She playfully replied. "It will be for now."

"Allright, I can do that." I agreed as I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her close.

"And then tomorrow maybe we could go for a walk or something else together. " She said. "Just for fun, not cause we have somewhere to go."

"If we get the time." I replied.

"We will, you know we will." She said. "We'll have plenty."

"Yeah, probably." I agreed. "if we have time and it keeps you happy we will, anyway, goodnight baby girl."

"Goodnight." She cutely replied. "Love you."

"Love you too baby." I said before we kissed eachother goodnight, it was a bit early but our clocks were completely messed up, so we were just trying to get as much sleep as we could.
