" I put Cj to sleep so he can get better. " Phoebe said to Zari after I was out cold. " Can you help me move him into a building or something so he'll be a bit safer?"
"Couldn't you have done that before knocking him out?" Zari asked.
"I didn't think about it at the time." Phoebe replied. " I can move him I just need you to hold the door open." Phoebe said as her hands began to glow.
"Ok just be careful, you don't want to hurt him more do you?" Zari asked.
"Of course I don't he's my husband. I wuv him." Phoebe replied.
"Is he going to be ok?" Kitty asked.
"Yes, I just put him to sleep and now we're going to move him inside a building where he'll be even safer and then when he wakes up we'll try to find a way out of here." Phoebe replied.
Somehow they managed to move my unconscious body inside one of the nearby buildings, then Phoebe covered me up with blankets again while Zari and the digibabes went back outside. She gave me another kiss goodnight, then turned to leave the building when she saw Babbamon in the doorway.
"It's you." Phoebe said in surprise.
"Yes it's me." Babbamon said. "Are you the leader of the humans?"
"Um, not really, but, well, kind of." Phoebe replied. "But I'm not a human I'm a pokémon."
"But you're stronger than the rest of them?" Babbamon asked.
"Kind of." Phoebe asked. "What do you want ? My husband is too hurt to keep fighting and he needs to sleep."
"I just wanted to tell you that there are these digimon called bombamon planting bombs around the city." Babbamon said.
"I thought I already killed them." Phoebe said.
"There's more than one group." Babbamon replied. "You can't let them finish planting their explosives or they'll level most of the city."
"Ok, I'll try to stop them, but my husband is hurt and he needs to stay here for a while." Phoebe said.
"Where did you come from? Are you the same old lady digimon we met before?" Henry suddenly barged in on the conversation..
"Yes I believe we've met before." Babbamon replied. "You humans and your digimon have done wonders for Green Village already, but if you don't stop the Bombamon it will all be for nothing."
"Is IceLeomon ok?" Phoebe asked. "Where'd Zari go?"
"She's checking on him right now actually." Henry replied.
"Ok, we need to go stop the Bombamon." Phoebe said. "I'll take Saphira and Kitty with me, and IceLeomon if he's able, but somebody needs to stay here with Cj so nobody hurts him."
"We'll watch him for you." Henry volunteered.
"Good, now I have to round up our digimon." Phoebe said.
She went around to get Kitty and Saphira, then she left the rest of the group with Babbamon following her.
"So where are all the Bombamon?" Phoebe asked.
"I think there's one group for every 5 buildings. They're moving up the street as they go." Babbamon explained. "So if you head this way long enough, you should run into them."
"Makes sense to me." Phoebe said.
"We just need to keep them from getting to the end because that's when they'll arm their explosives." Babbamon. "Also Bombamon can detonate them at any time, so try to take it down quickly."
"The last one I fought took itself down." Phoebe said.
"You're very lucky it didn't think to set off its explosives first." Babbamon replied. "You must be more cautious, you have to take it out before it knows you're there."
"So I have to take it out first before the rest of them?" Phoebe asked.
"That would be wise deary." Babbamon replied. "Now I must bid farewell, I need to go check on Etemon."
"You know where he is?" Phoebe asked, but Babbamon quickly left without answering.
"Where did she go?" Phoebe asked.
"I didn't see." Saphira replied.
"She's really fast." Kitty commented. "My eyes couldn't keep up with her."
"Oh well, allright girls, you heard her we have to take out the Bombamon first. I'll do that then you can take out anyone else that tries to fight us." Phoebe said.
"Does she still get all the data?" Kitty asked.
"No you'll split it, you should be about even now." Phoebe replied.
"Good, otherwise I'm going back to the others." Kitty said.
"No you're not we need you here." Phoebe replied.
"If you don't help us the city could be destroyed." Saphira said.
"So? We just have to stop the dark kings, we don't have to save this city." Kitty replied.
"Well, it would be nice if we did." Saphira pointed out. "Otherwise the digimon we're trying to save won't have any homes to go back to."
"What would be nice is if we could head west and destroy Indramon." Kitty argued.
"Kitty as long as Etemon is still around we're not leaving here. " Phoebe replied.
"I'm tired, Cj is hurt, I'm useless." Kitty said, wishing she killed Etemon when she had the chance.
"Sweety, I'm tired, and he's my husband and I'm still fighting, he's not hurt as bad as he was when that robot city got attacked." Phoebe said.
"What you really need to focus on is maintaining your digivolved form long enough for us to have some real fun with it." Phoebe said.
"She digivolved?" Saphira replied in shock.
"Mhm, but not for very long." Phoebe replied.
"But how did? How? She sleeps most of the time!" Saphira jealously replied.
"Yeah, and I do most of the fighting between us." Phoebe said. "Cj and Kitty are about even. When we fight together I take down most of them and you help by slowing them down most of the time. I don't think I've ever even seen you take one down on your own."
"I'd do better if there was more water out here." Saphira said.
"Oh sweety, you'll digivolve eventually don't worry about it, you're still getting their data." Phoebe said. "And then we'll have some fun with your new form as well."
"What if Cj doesn't want too?" Kitty asked.
"He will if I push it enough. He loves me that much." Phoebe replied. "But we'll have to make sure the others aren't around."
"Why does he love you so much?" Kitty asked.
"How much do you love him?" Saphira asked.
"Can we stop talking about this? I let you play with us don't ask for more because you won't get any." Phoebe said with just a hint of distress.
"Sorry Phoebe." Both digibabes apologized.
"It's ok, just no more." Phoebe replied.
"What else is there to talk about?" Saphira asked.
"I don't know let's just look for the Bombamon like we're supposed to be doing." Phoebe suggested.
They walked another 2 blocks south in silence before they found the second Bombamon group, once again it consisted of one Bombamon and half a dozen nohemon assistants.
Phoebe quickly took out the Bombamon with little effort, and the digibabes brought the nohemon down shortly afterwards.
Just like with the first group, it took more time for her to find the Bombamon than it did for her to defeat them. The rest of her day was kind of repetitive and not really worth going into. They made it to the edge of Green Village about 3 hours later. Then they located and destroyed the final Bombamon group about 20 minutes after that.
"You think that's the last of them?" Saphira asked as Kitty reduced the last nohemon to a cloud of data.
"It should be." Phoebe said. "We're on the edge of the village, let's start heading back."
"Can't you teleport us back?" Kitty asked.
"It's too far and I'm too tired." Phoebe said. "Come on, I want to get back before Cj wakes up."
"When is that going to be?" Kitty asked.
"Should be around the next morning." Phoebe replied.
By the time they returned it was dark, Henry and Claire were already asleep while Zari was keeping a lookout.
"Ok you two can either go inside your digivices or go find somewhere else to sleep. I'm going to check on Cj and make sure he's ok, then I'm going to go to sleep."
"Hey you're back." Zari said.
"Hi Zari, goodnight." Phoebe replied before heading towards the building she had left me in. She left her shoes by the door, made sure I was alive, and then laid down beside me. Covered herself with whatever blankets she could find before falling asleep minutes later. The beds were too small for either one of us, so we pretty much had to sleep on the floor with about a half a dozen small blankets for warmth that were gathered earlier from surrounding buildings. It wasn't really the most comfortable, but she knocked me out so I didn't care.
I naturally woke up sometime early the next morning to find her lying beside me. I felt a bit stronger than before but my back felt damp and hurt like hell. It still hurt to move, I had bruises all over my arms and stomach. The unfamiliar room went into the back of my mind while the pain stayed in the front. Phoebe was sleeping like the angel she is beside me and I didn't want to wake her. So I layed there in silence for a while until she finally woke up and turned to face me.
"I wish we had an actual bed, even the grass was more comfortable than this floor." She quietly said, breaking the silence before speaking in a more cheerful manner. "Good morning Cj."
"Morning baby girl." I replied.
"Do you feel better?" She asked.
"Slightly." I replied as I put my arm around her and pulled her close. The pain was worth it just to have her close.
"How are you?" I asked.
"Tired." She replied. "There was more than one Bombamon, I spent several hours tracking them all down."
"Oh really?" I asked.
"Mhm." She replied.
"Did you get much sleep?" I asked.
"Some, but I could have gotten more if this floor wasn't so awful." She replied.
"Aww well, I think we're about due for a break don't you think?" I asked.
"Hopefully, but we still have to find Etemon." Phoebe replied.
"Eh, we'll get to him eventually." I said as I kissed her on the cheek. "Most of his army is dead and he's hurt pretty bad. He probably isn't too much of a threat."
"What if he gets more Bombamon?" Phoebe asked.
"Well, they didn't seem too difficult to take down." I replied. "It seems like you got through them pretty easily."
"What if Marionamon shows up?" Phoebe asked.
"I doubt she will, she'll probably just try to rebuild her army as fast as possible before we can figure out where she is." I said.
"If I wasn't in so much pain I'd fuck you so hard right now." I said, figuring she was probably going to ask about it any moment.
"Oh, Cj." She replied. "There will be plenty of time for that when you feel better. On the bus, where we have a way more comfortable bed anyway."
"You know it might be a few days." I said.
"It will be fine, you're more important. I can make it. Even without Saphira." She said.
"By that you mean I'm going to have to make up for it." I said.
"Oh don't worry about that." She replied.
"And when I'm not hurt you can barely make it more than a day." I said.
"Because I know things like this can happen." Phoebe replied. "See it's already made up for."
"If you say so." I said as I looked around the room.
"I'll be fine, just snuggle with me so I can sleep in for a bit more." She said as she nuzzled against me and closed her eyes.
"Allright, I can do that." I softly replied as she made herself comfortable.
"You're really heavy you know that? It was not easy carrying you in here." She said.
"You should have let me walk in here before you knocked me out." I replied.
"Zari said the same thing." She softly replied.
She fell asleep again a few minutes later, and I just layed there and held her close for a while. I drifted back to sleep a bit later than that, but we both woke up for good about 2 hours later.
Sometime after we finally decided to get up we realized that the mechanorimon belonging to Henry, Claire, and Zari "woke up" and quickly located the other three that IceLeomon foolishly ditched. They ended up being clear to the southwest side of the village. Apparently two of them got taken down by the nohemon at some point, leaving just the one left to guard them, alone, we came very close to losing them. Zari was up most of the night so she slept in really late. Henry and Claire were already wide awake and outside by the time Phoebe and I left our building. I wrapped a blanket around myself because it felt weird to not have a shirt.
The fighting was pretty much over by now, we hadn't had any porcupamon or nohemon come at us at any point during the night, or during the morning. A bunch of friendly digimon were gathering around the town hall, rookies and champions alike, most of which were fighting alongside us yesterday. A few were moving back into their homes. Others were celebrating their victory. Etemon was nowhere to be found, and there was talk of a new mayor being chosen. There wasn't much more fighting to be done so we decided to head back to the bus.
Before we left the village, we tried to call a trailmon via the phone in former mayor Etemon's office.
"Um hello, can we get a trailmon to come here to take us back to our bus?" Phoebe asked nicely.
"No! You wretched humans aren't getting any help from me! I'll destroy you if I find you! You'll pay for all the data you cost me!" An angry voice said on the other end of the line.
"Are you Marionamon?" Phoebe asked. "Where are you? We've been looking for you ."
"None of your business stay away!" Marionamon said.
"What are you scared we might beat you?" Phoebe cheekily asked. "We're going to fight eventually, might as well get it over with. "
"That's where you're wrong." Marionamon replied." I have no intention of fighting you as long as I have minions to fight for me."
"Well good luck, your minions haven't taken down a single one of us yet!" Phoebe replied in a taunting manner before promptly hanging up the phone.
"That was Marionamon she doesn't want to tell us where she is and she won't send a train." Phoebe said.
"Well that's not really that surprising." I replied.
"Did you guys find any other numbers written down anywhere?" Phoebe asked as Henry, Claire, and Zari were busy searching the room.
"Nothing, just a bunch of papers and, really cheesy song lyrics." Henry replied.
"Allright then Cj, I guess we better start walking." Phoebe said.
"Oh joy." I replied as I stood there holding a blanket around my chest.
"Maybe we should ask some of those bigger digimon to come with us so we could maybe get our vehicles off the train." Henry suggested.
"It wouldn't be the worst idea." I replied.
Anyway, after a lot of walking, like more walking than most people would do in a week, we finally made it back to our bus sometime in the early afternoon.
The trailmon and its train were still derailed, with the trailmon in particular being quite sad and lonely, as it had been stranded there for several days. With the assistance of several greymon, kabuterimon, kuwagamon, and other large, powerful champion digimon. We managed to get the trailmon back onto the tracks as well as a free ride further down the line, the passenger coach was left behind as it was pretty much destroyed, so Henry, Claire, and Zari, squeezed into Henry's Camaro. Phoebe and I of course were staying on our bus while the mechanorimon followed behind us, and IceLeomon took a seat in the empty space on the flatcar carrying Henry's Camaro.
"So here we are again back on the bus." Phoebe said as she layed down next to me on our bed.
"Yep, indeed we are baby girl." I replied.
"I don't think IceLeomon can see us as long as we're below the windows." Phoebe said.
"Yeah, probably." I agreed.
"And I don't think he can really hear us over the noise of the train." Phoebe continued.
"And you think we can get away with having sex now don't you?" I asked.
"I don't think, I know we can." Phoebe said.
"I don't know baby I'm still really sore." I said.
"Well if you would be quiet and listen." Phoebe continued. "I was going to be the nice loving wife you know I am and offer you a foot job, but now you're going to have to work for it."
"Oh really?" I asked.
"Mhm." She cutely replied.
"How am I going to do that?" I asked.
"Oh we'll see." She said as she carefully crawled on top of me. Taking extra care not to cause me any pain.
"Oh baby girl, what am I going to do with you?" I asked as I brushed her cheek, to which she responded with a kiss.
I kissed her back, we started to make out. The train started to slow down.
She pulled down my pants and started to fondle my equipment as the train continued to slow down gently until it came to a stop.
"Pheebles the train stopped." I said.
"So? We'll keep going it will be fine." She replied.
"Pheebles we could be under attack." I said as I tried to pull my pants back up.
"Ok, ok, I'll go out and check." She replied.
She teleported out and came back about two minutes later.
"The trailmon won't take us any further up the line, he's scared." Phoebe said looking completely disappointed. "We'll have to get off here."
"Where is here exactly?" I asked."
"I don't know." She replied.
"Oh Pheebles, baby girl you look so depressed." I said.
"We were supposed to both be naked by now. This was supposed to be sexy time." She replied.
"Honey we'll have time for that later allright?" I replied.
"Awwee, but Cj." She continued.
"What do you want to do? Get naked and get caught when the others want to see why we're not unloading the bus yet." I said with an increasing sense of awkwardness after each word.
"I know but, it's ." She stammered.
I struggled to get to my feet, but once I got up, I was up.
I stumbled over to her and gave her a hug. "It will be fine, we'll have tonight."
"Ok." She moped.
I left the bus and went to see what the others were up to. The trailmon had already deployed the ramps and Henry was already starting up his camaro. The trailmon had already deployed the ramp, as it has control over any cars it was coupled to, so all I had to do was drive the bus off of the car. We got our vehicles off the train, and then the trailmon said goodbye before hastily darting off in reverse.
"Why is he so scared?" Phoebe asked as we all stood around our vehicles. Our digimon were riding with Henry, Claire, and Zari so Phoebe and I could have some time alone, but only Saphira was present as Kitty was asleep.
"It probably has something to do with Marionamon, I don't think she would take kindly to him leading us directly into her territory." I replied.
"Where are we going to go now?" Claire asked as she stood there holding her chikorita.
After looking around a bit, I realized we were at some sort of junction. There was a small platform and several branching rail lines, other than that we were pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There was no town or village around, fortunately there was enough space to follow the tracks with our vehicles. The entire area kind of reminded me of the place where we entered the digital world, but with a lot more trailmon tracks and surrounded by trees.
"Same direction, not really anywhere else we can go, can't drive through the forest, don't have enough pokémon to help with making a path. " I said.
"I hope we find a way to heal them after this." Phoebe said. "I miss mine."
"Me too." I replied. "Some of these digimon are just too strong for them."
"It's because we're not bound by the laws of physics." Saphira replied. "We're only bound by our code."
"Like porygon?" Phoebe suggested.
"What's a porygon?" Saphira asked.
"It's a pokémon that was pretty much entirely created from computer code."
"What's the difference between it and a digimon then?" Henry asked.
"I don't know." I replied.
The real answer is digimon exist naturally in a realm that bridges reality and cyberspace, a realm not every possible universe has, while porygon was deliberately created in a lab, though porygon can function in a similar realm, the mysterious conditions that allow for the existence of digimon are not present in every universe. In some universes, the digital world per se is quite void and empty, just as the planet earth is not habitable in some universes. Porygon is also a far more primitive life form compared to most digimon. At that particular moment however, I didn't have near enough time to think this through.
"Allright let's get going." Zari said. "Do you two want your digimon back or do you need more alone time?"
"Saphira why don't you come with us. You can guys can take Kitty for a while can't you? She just sleeps in her digivice most of the time." Phoebe said.
"Ok, yeah." Zari agreed.
We split up, got into our designated vehicles and started to follow the tracks.
We were in what seemed to be a huge empty train yard spanning several miles. About an hour down the rails we started to see long lines of various railcars, such as the coaches and flatcars we were already familiar with, but there were also boxcars, tankers, and even a crane which we probably could have used a few hours ago. The outer two lines were still empty however. Eventually the lines of cars came to an end and a huge shed appeared on the horizon. A sign next to the track said "Trailmon Central." A sort of city for all the trailmon, where they can spend the night and receive regular maintenance. There were smaller facilities dotted throughout the digital world, but this was the largest. The interior of the gigantic building was a strange hybrid of city and train station. Between every track was a very wide platform with numerous buildings on them. With numerous bridges spanning the platforms. Numerous switches between tracks allowed the trailmon to move about very freely.
Unknown to us, aside from the trailmon, numerous hagurumon, toyagumon, and guardromon also lived here at one point, but Marionamon enslaved the toyagumon and destroyed most of the non-trailmon residents. Now only they remained along with a few unlucky trailmon that were unable to escape. The digimon that managed to escape went to the clear end of the line, as far as they could get from trailmon central, a place somewhere clear up in the ice covered northern mountains. This was where our trailmon friend was heading as well.
As it was now, it was mostly just a big empty space with remnants of shops and even recreational areas. With a handful of assorted trailmon confined to the sheds in the clear back corner of the city. Our vehicles were confined to the 2ND platform as there was no way we could make it over to the next. So we eventually found a place to park towards the back of the colossal structure so we could get out and explore. It was less of an actual parking area and more of just a convenient place to park, nobody was really around so nobody would really care.
"Cj why don't you just stay here? Marionamon could be here and I don't want you to get hurt even more." Phoebe said right after I shut the engine off.
"Pheebles, Kitty needed to digivolve just to beat Porcelamon, if Marionamon is here, from what I understand, I need to be there so she has a chance at digivolving again." I said.
"Yeah, well maybe it's Saphira's turn to digivolve instead." Phoebe insisted.
"You shouldn't bank on that alone." I replied. "We don't even know what Marionamon's abilities are."
"Cj you're still hurt from last time." Phoebe said.
"It's just a few scratches. I can make it." I replied.
"Yeah and what about your arms?" Phoebe asked.
"They're getting used to it." I said. "They'll make it."
"Ok, but I'm not letting you fight her directly." Phoebe said.
"Yeah well, you know I will if I have too." I said.
"I won't let you." Phoebe stubbornly replied.
"Yeah well, you try doing that in the middle of battle and see how well that goes. We in this together or not? " I replied as I offered her my hand.
"Yeah, allright." She replied.
"What are you three doing in there?" Henry asked from outside the bus.
"Let's get out there." I said.
I left the bus, still holding her hand, while Saphira, who had been quietly watching us this whole time, trailed behind us.
"There they are." Henry declared.
"Yeah, yeah, let's get to looking. Marionamon might be here, might be somewhere completely different. Either way we're here or we have to destroy her." I said.
"Kitty is still asleep." Claire said as she held up my digivice.
"Yeah, not surprised." I said as I seized it from her and pressed the button to eject Kitty from it.
"Kitty we need to go, come on, this is ridiculous." I said.
"Huh?" She said as woke up and looked around in a confused manner.
"I think this is trailmon central, Marionamon might be here so it's worth looking through." I said.
"Oh, ok, let's go then." Kitty said as she got up and started to walk away.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"I don't know." She replied. "I've never been here before. It looks empty."
"We don't know that for sure." Phoebe chimed in.
-Meanwhile-
Marionamon was in the farthest corner of the facility watching us on a TV screen.
"This isn't good, they've made it here before the remnants of my invasion force. "
"What shall we do empress Marionamon?" A nearby toyagumon asked.
"Prepare a trailmon, wait till I leave, have bombamon detonate his explosives. I'm leaving for the north." Marionamon said. "We'll regroup with ShadowWereGarurumon, if we stay here I'm as good as dead."
"What about Etemon?" The toyagumon asked.
"He can have what's left of his precious village, for now." Marionamon said.
Anyway, while Marionamon prepared to mobilize, we continued to explore this place, unaware of what was about to happen, we made it to about the fifth platform from the right when we heard the sound of a trailmon running.
"What is that?" Kitty asked.
"Probably just a trailmon." I said.
"It sounds pretty far away." Phoebe replied.
"You want to go check it out?" I asked.
"Ok." Phoebe replied.
She teleported away, intentionally not even giving me a chance to take her hand.
About thirty seconds later we started to hear some explosions. They sounded far away at first, but with each consecutive one they sounded closer and closer until it turned into quite a loud, thunderous noise, another explosion, a cloud of smoke temporarily blinded me, my ears wouldn't stop ringing. For a moment I couldn't hear anything and couldn't see anything until the smoke cleared up a little, just to reveal that the entire ceiling was in the process of collapsing.
I grabbed Kitty's arm and ran into the closest store for protection, it seemed to be some kind of ice cream store of all things. I lost contact with everyone else and just hoped for a moment that they were smart enough to do the same. The ceiling balanced on some of the taller interior buildings until a second wave of explosions starting from the opposite side began to bring them down too. Then the ceiling collapsed almost completely and crushed nearly everything.
All the windows on the shop shattered, part of sign came down and we survived, but everything went black.
"Holy fucking shit what the fuck?" I said after everything began to calm down.
It was pitch black until I had the idea to use my digivice as a light source.
"What just happened?" Kitty asked.
"They just dropped a fucking building on us." I replied. "I have to admit, this is a first."
"Do you think we're the only ones left?" Kitty asked.
"God I hope not." I replied.
"PAIN SENSORS OVERLOAD!"
"Well there goes one of the mechanorimon." I replied.
"IS ANYONE STILL ALIVE?" Henry yelled.
"I AM." I replied. "WHERE ARE YOU? CAN YOU SEE MY LIGHT? I'M WAVING IT AROUND."
"I TOOK COVER BETWEEN THE PLATFORMS." Henry said. "I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING!"
"HENRY?"I heard Claire yell from somewhere.
"WHERE ARE YOU?" I asked.
"I DON'T KNOW, I CAN'T SEE." Claire replied. "THERE'S METAL ALL AROUND ME, I CAN'T MOVE, I THINK I'M BLEEDING."
"JUST HANG IN THERE WE'LL SORT THIS OUT." I replied.
"Is Phoebe going to come save us?" Kitty asked.
"I don't know, we don't even know if she made it." I said.
"I'm scared." Kitty replied.
"I don't blame you." I replied as I peeked outside the entrance of the shop
Outside there was the ceiling which curved down sharply directly in front of me, leaving about 5ft of clear space. There was broken glass everywhere, and my view in either direction was obscured by piles of rubble from a few exploded buildings.
"How are we going to get out of here?" Saphira asked as she emerged from the adjacent building.
"No idea." I replied as I continued to examine my new surroundings.
The ceiling curved down until it got to the edge of the platform where it sort of leveled out. Due to differences in the sizes of buildings, I found a gap between the edge of the platform and the ceiling, allowing access to the tracks.
"YOU SEE THE LIGHT NOW?" I asked as I stuck my digivice into the hole and waved it around.
"I SEE IT." Henry replied.
"ALLRIGHT COME OVER HERE, YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET BACK ON THE PLATFORM." I said.
So I got Henry out of there, and then we went looking for Claire, we had to dig through one of the piles of debris to get to her, only to find that she had gotten herself pinned to the side of a building in a pile of bricks that had come from a building on the third platform that had collapsed across the tracks, in the seconds prior to the ceiling coming down. She was cut up and bruised pretty bad but we were able to dig her out. An unlucky mechanorimon seemed to have been crushed to death by a falling beam, and there was no sign of any of the others.
We couldn't find Zari, or IceLeomon for that matter. We couldn't hear either of them, so we assumed the worst. It took a while, but Kitty managed to claw us out of there.
"Daylight again." Henry cheered.
"Yeah, I guess so." I replied.
"Pheebles? Where are you baby girl?" I called out to no response.
"ARE YOU OK?" A mechanorimon asked, it was then that I realized there were 4 of them standing around.
"When did you get out?" I asked.
"ABOUT ONE HOUR AGO." The mechanorimon replied.
"Did you see Phoebe anywhere?" I asked.
"NEGATIVE." The mechanorimon replied.
"I'm sure she's fine, she has to be." Claire said.
"Yeah, probably, then again we can't even find Zari for that matter." I replied.
"Allright so, Phoebe and Zari are MIA, Marionamon is obviously not here, and our vehicles are probably fucked."
"God dammit I forgot about them." Henry said.
"If Phoebe is gone does that mean . . . . " Kitty began to say something stupid.
"No, shut up, this is not the time." I grumpily interrupted.
"Let's just relax for a bit, we made it out. It was rough and we're royally fucked, but we made it out."
"I hope Zari is ok I really need more of that healing gel, these cuts hurt." Claire said.
"Most of her stuff is on the bus so even if she was ok, it wouldn't matter if the bus is a pancake now." I replied.
"Dammit I'm sorry guys." I apologized.
"There was no way you could have seen that coming." Henry replied.
"I know, but, dammit." I replied.
The ceiling for the most part formed a treacherous hellscape. Some of the taller buildings that didn't get blown up managed to poke through, there were large holes where now shattered skylights would have been, Varying heights of the interior buildings left the roof bent into strange shapes in some places and torn open in others, and other places were unstable due to damaged framework. There were low points directly over each of the tracks, and sticking to them seemed to be the best bet. We followed the nearest one to the end, and jumped off taking care not to land on the rails. They were low enough that it was perfectly survivable.
From there we went back to platform one to find our vehicles, which miraculously survived thanks to the buildings next to them being taller. The wall of the structure separated from the ceiling entirely and was now laid against the building we had parked our vehicles aside at an angle. The ceiling completely collapsed on the other side of the building, and if we had parked there they would have been pancakes. This gave us all a slight hint of relief, but with everything else that had happened we were all still overwhelmed, so as soon as we got them out we just parked beside the ruined structure and sat for a while. The bus received a dent in the roof from the wall frame, and the paint got scratched against part of the wall as we drove it out, but it was fine otherwise. We got our vehicles out of that death trap and parked alongside the tracks, to make matters worse around this time the far side of the building began to smoke, something had set it on fire. We debated going back in to save Zari, but not knowing where she was meant we could get trapped in there. We didn't get much time to think about this before Phoebe came out of nowhere and tackled me.
"What the heck Pheebles?" I asked, surprised.
"I'm so glad you're ok. I couldn't do anything I'm so sorry." She said as she squeezed me tight. I could tell she had been crying recently.
"I'm glad you're ok too, but I'm not going to push you down because of it." I said.
"Anyway Zari is still in there, and now it's burning." I said. "You're probably the only one that has any chance of finding her."
"Right." Phoebe replied.
"I can show you where we got out, but then you'll need to find her from there." I said.
"Ok." Phoebe agreed. "Come on get up, we don't have too much time." She said as everyone gave us weird looks.
"You guys stay here, we're going in to save Zari." I said.
"What about Ice Lion?" Henry asked.
"As long as he's in data form he should be fine." Saphira replied. "But Zari won't be if we don't get her out in time."
"There's no guarantee she's. " I began to say.
"Just get going you two her life is at stake." Henry interrupted.
Without another word, Phoebe took my hand and teleported me back up to the collapsed roof, I found the hole we crawled out of. She did her thing.
"I hear her but it's really faint. I don't think she 's conscious." Phoebe said.
"Well where is she?" I asked.
"Over this way, around this pile of broken stuff." Phoebe said.
It turned out Zari got hit by some debris during the collapse and was knocked unconscious, as well as IceLeomon.
We found her and got out in plenty of time just as another fire broke out on platform 8.
Saphira attempted to slow the fires, but once it got going there was nothing she could do. Another hour and the entire facility was engulfed in flames and gradually began to collapse even more than it already had.
"Well if Marionamon was here, she isn't now." I said.
"She was probably on that train that left before everything exploded." Phoebe said.
"There was a train?" I asked.
"Yes, that's what that thing was that I went to go see." Phoebe replied. "It went back towards the way we came."
"We can't follow it too far back that way, we'll run out of room to drive."
"We'll never catch it Cj, I tried because there was little else I could do and I couldn't keep up." Phoebe replied.
"Well that's probably a good thing, or else you'd have to face Marionamon on your own." I said.
"And Zari would be done for." Claire pointed out.
"Yeah, probably." I agreed.
"I'm never letting you out of my sight again." Phoebe said. "I've never been more scared for you."
"Oh Pheebles you're going to have to at some point." I said.
"We'll see about that." Phoebe replied.
"Let's just keep heading, um, I guess that way is south." I said.
"More southwest." Henry replied.
"Well let's just keep following the tracks, if that's all Marionamon had to throw at us, I don't think she'll be much of a threat for a while at least." I said.
"But Cj we need to stop her eventually." Kitty pointed out.
"Yeah, well, we all need a break, especially after that, I mean Zari's still unconscious even, so let's head south." I replied.
"I'm with Cj, no more today, I've had enough." Phoebe agreed.
Everyone but Kitty agreed as well, except for the mechanorimon that refused to vote, the digimon that were still in the building in data form, and Zari who was still unconscious.
So we waited until we could rescue the rest of our digimon allies, two mechanorimon and IceLeomon, and then we took off for the south.
IceLeomon did not take his defeat lightly.
"I was defeated?" He asked in shock just moments after he escaped from the building on his own after "Waking up".
"It wasn't really your fault, none of us saw that coming." I said.
"And Zari is?" He began to ask.
"Unconscious, but she'll be fine." Phoebe interrupted. "Everything will be fine, we just have to be more careful in the future."
"Marionamon is going to pay for this." He said.
"She will eventually big guy, but right now, just relax." Henry insisted.
"Nobody defeats IceLeomon and keeps their data core!" IceLeomon said in a fit of rage. "Where did she go?"
"There was a train that went that way, but you're never going to catch it." Phoebe said.
"There is nothing I cannot catch." IceLeomon said as he promptly took off running.
"You know you could've just said she went the way we were going to go." I said once IceLeomon was out of earshot.
"I didn't think about that at the time, and if I lied to him he'd be even more mad." Phoebe said.
"What are you afraid of him?" I asked.
"Do you think we should chase him down?" Henry asked before Phoebe could respond.
"He's never going to catch up to her, I couldn't even do that, and no I'm not afraid of him, he's just really loud when he's mad and I don't like it." Phoebe said.
"You and Claire should probably go follow him with the mechanorimon so he doesn't hurt himself. " I said as IceLeomon was getting further and further away from us. Henry and Claire eventually climbed into two of the now six mechanorimon standing around us and followed him.
IceLeomon kept running until Henry ran out of patience and promptly cut him off.
"You can't catch her, it's not possible." He said as IceLeomon came charging towards him.
"Out of the way, there's nothing I can't catch." He said as he smacked into Henry's mechanorimon, which very nearly fell over. Henry just stood there dazed for a moment as IceLeomon continued to run up the tracks, it was a pretty hard hit.
"Are you ok?" Claire asked over the mechanorimon's radio.
"Yeah I just need a moment, he shook me up pretty bad." Henry replied.
"Should I try to stop him?" Claire asked.
"He'll just knock you out of the way like he did with me." Henry replied.
They followed him about 5 miles up the track where he finally ran out of breath.
"I will kill you Marionamon! . . . . . . . . I swear I will kill you! " He said between breaths.
"Can we go back to the others now?" Henry asked.
"I'm not done yet human, I just need to catch my breath." IceLeomon said with an intense air of seriousness.
"You're not going to catch up to her, she's on a train." Claire said.
"Even if you manage to catch up to the train, she's won't be on it anymore." Henry said." And you'll have no idea where she got off at, and where she went from there. We'll find her again, as a team, but not right now."
"The sooner I find her the faster she dies!" IceLeomon said in a rage as he began to run again.
"He just won't quit." Henry said to Claire.
"Stubborn." Claire replied.
-meanwhile-
"Are you sure she's going to wake up?" I asked as an unconscious Zari continued to sleep.
"Yes, she still has thoughts." Phoebe said.
"How long until she wakes up?" I asked.
"It's hard to tell at this point. " Phoebe said." I really don't know Cj, I don't really watch unconscious people very often."
-about an hour later-
"What the heck is taking them so long?" I asked as Henry, Claire, and IceLeomon still hadn't returned.
"THEY ARE OUTSIDE COMMUNICATION RANGE." One of the mechanorimon chimed in.
"Pheebles?" I asked.
"Don't be silly Cj, I lost them five minutes after they left." Phoebe said.
"Ok." I replied.
"Phoebe can we have another sexy party?" Kitty asked. "I'm getting bored."
"No, not right now." Phoebe said.
"Not ever." I added.
"Oh don't be such a grump." Phoebe said.
"I don't get it Pheebles, you're jealous one minute and want to share me the next." I said.
"I'm not sharing you with anyone, we're sharing them together. Now when she thinks she can have you all to herself is when I get jealous." Phoebe replied.
"Then why did you let me have her that one night?" I asked.
"Because I made you mad and I felt guilty." She replied.
"Awe, baby girl you don't have to be so hard on yourself." I said.
"Well it's too late now." Phoebe replied. "and it's not that hard, Cj, I know you, I know that no matter how many times you sleep with her you'll always come back to me."
"Really? It doesn't bother you at all?" I asked in disbelief.
"It bothers me, but not as much as you think it does." She said.
"It also helps that she is as dumb as a post and you can't get her pregnant." Phoebe said telepathically so Kitty, who was idling around nearby wouldn't hear.
"and that you said I could've slept with Saphira that night if I wanted. I guess I should tell you we did make out for a bit, but I couldn't go any further because I kept feeling like I didn't deserve it."
"That makes me feel just a bit better." I said.
"You still owe me though." Phoebe replied as she hugged me.
"I owe you so much." I replied.
"You're making it up, don't worry." Phoebe replied as we gazed into each other's eyes for a moment.
"I mean really it's not that much, I got into this mess to begin with remember?" She said telepathically.
"Yeah I know. I'm surprised you remember." I thought.
"Oh now you're just being silly." Phoebe replied without telepathy, but nobody seemed to think it was that strange.
"Guys, do you think we should go after them?" Saphira asked.
"We can't leave Zari behind." I said. "Who knows what she'll be thinking when she wakes up."
"I could." Phoebe replied.
"Yeah, but, if we're not around." I said.
"Yes, true." Phoebe agreed.
"What about the mechanorimon?" Phoebe asked.
"Would you like to wake up to a mechanorimon?" I asked.
"Not really, but I think knowing that Henry and Claire are ok is more important than Zari waking up comfortably." Phoebe replied.
"Yeah, you're right, Kitty let's go." I said as I held my digivice towards her.
"Where are we going?" Kitty asked as she approached me.
"To find the others." I replied.
"They should have been back by now." Phoebe added as everyone gathered around.
Our digimon entered our digivices, we entered 2 of the remaining mechanorimon, and, leaving Zari under the watchful eye of the other two, we set out after Henry and Claire, who were miles away at this point.
They weren't having any luck getting IceLeomon to turn back. He would run a few miles, take a break for a few minutes, and then repeat the process until he was literally too exhausted to run anymore, by that point he made it almost halfway back to Green Village.
"Curse you Marionamon!" He said as he fell to his knees, which were completely numb by this point.
"Do you give up yet?" Henry asked.
"We'll . . . . . head . . . back . . . . . tomorrow." He said as he fell face down on the ground, utterly defeated.
"Hopefully they're still there tomorrow." Henry said.
"It was getting kind of stuffy in here." Claire said as she hastily escaped the confines of her mechanorimon.
"Let's get a fire going, we'll head back tomorrow." Henry said as he left his mechanorimon as well.
Phoebe and I kept moving even after sunset, knowing they would probably have a fire and that it would make them easier to see. Our assumptions turned out to be correct, and we found where they were camping a few hours later. At that point we were tired so we found a spot to lie down, snuggle, and eventually fall asleep without saying much of anything. Henry was the only one awake at that point. At this point we thought we'd actually be able to make some progress the next day, even though we'd have to waste a few hours just getting back to our vehicles. We were wrong, as by the time we woke up, IceLeomon decided to leave without us.
So Henry and Claire went towards Green Village, while Phoebe and I headed back towards the ruins of Trailmon Central, as nobody could tell which way he went. Our plan was to meet back at the camp in six hours, if we weren't there, Henry and Claire were to assume we had already found him and head over to the ruins. As that would give us enough time to get over there and back. Sure enough, Henry and Claire found him waiting around for a trailmon at Green Village station, failing to understand that one was never going to come as Marionamon had been in control of all the trailmon in the area.
"Ice Lion man we were supposed to head back to the others today." Henry said. "You're really starting to waste a lot of our time."
"I could not let it go, Marionamon must pay for what she did to Zari and I." IceLeomon said. "I found myself not even able to sleep knowing her code is still assembled."
"Zari will be fine, come back with us." Henry said. "She's probably already awake wondering where you are."
"Yeah come back with us." Claire added.
"I can't, I must destroy her." IceLeomon replied as he glanced up the tracks with the vain hope that a trailmon would appear on the horizon.
"You know a trailmon is never going to come right? " Henry asked.
"It's not?" IceLeomon asked.
"Trailmon central got destroyed, there's nowhere for them to come from." Henry said. "If you want to catch up to Marionamon you better get to running again."
"Ok, I'll come with you." IceLeomon said.
"Good, because I'm getting tired of chasing you around." Henry replied.
And so they all left green village together.
Meanwhile Phoebe and I made it back to the ruins of trailmon central. Where a pair of mechanorimon were looking after Zari, who had apparently woken up sometime that morning.
"Goodmorning Zari, do you feel better?" Phoebe asked.
"It's good to see you, How long was I out? I was about to freak out cause I couldn't find anybody. I was starting to think you all died in the explosions." Zari asked.
"Well you've been out since the building collapsed. We didn't see you get knocked out so we don't really know what happened." Phoebe replied.
"Where's Henry and Claire?" Zari asked.
"They're out looking for IceLeomon, he went missing this morning." Phoebe replied.
"He got knocked out too, and he's very pissed about it." I added.
"That idiot." She muttered.
"Yeah I know, we've already wasted a day trying to chase him down." I replied.
"You two tin cans didn't see him pass through here did you?" I asked the mechanorimon.
"NEGATIVE, NO LIFEFORM HAS PASSED BY SINCE YOU LEFT." One of them replied.
"Allright." I said. "Well Zari, we can either wait here for them to return or go see them."
"I think we should all get on the bus and get naked and have a party." Phoebe said.
"Pheebles, I think you should keep dreaming." I replied in embarrassment.
"Oh. Come on CJ, Henry and Claire aren't here to catch us, and the mechanorimon probably don't even care." Phoebe said. "What else are we going to do? Zari? You know I'm the one that found you in there, none of the others could."
"I guess I do owe you one then don't I, for saving my life?" Zari asked.
"You could say that." Phoebe replied.
"How about some time later though, when I'm not all banged up?" Zari asked. "I feel like total crap right now."
"Pheebles I still kind of feel like crap too." I added.
"You didn't on the train yesterday." Phoebe replied.
"That was just with you." I replied. "If we're going to have some giant sex party at least wait till I feel up to it."
"Well then what are we going to do Cj? It's going to be awhile until Henry and Claire get back." Phoebe asked.
"We can play cards, you can let Mr. Cinders out and we can play with him for awhile." I said. "Zari you got any ideas?"
"Not really." Zari replied.
"Ok." I guess we can let Mr. Cinders out for a bit." Phoebe replied as she went to the bus to retrieve his pokeball.
"Yeah, we haven't had him out for awhile." I replied.
"Why did you have to go and get yourself hurt, if you didn't we could be having so much fun right now." Phoebe asked when she came back out of the bus.
"Well it was either that or let Kitty get killed by the crazy eye lady." I replied. "I know you two don't get along very well, but really?"
"No, I get it Cj, but I just wish you'd be more careful." Phoebe explained.
I really didn't have the energy or patience to go over this with her again, so I just let it go.
"Pheebles, I'll make you a promise, if we ever end up on a beach I'll let you throw the biggest sex party ever ok baby girl? We'll share Zari, the digibabes, and whatever other girl you can convince to join us by then." I said as I held her hands together with mine.
"No Cj, if we ever end up on a beach again, I want you all to myself." Phoebe said, which took me completely by surprise.
"Um, ok." I replied. "Well then, some other time when I don't feel like crap."
"We'll just see about that." Phoebe said with a hint of mischievousness.
We ended up playing cards on the bus with Zari and the Digibabes while Mr. Cinders explored the entire bus, at some point he found the horn button, and at another point he somehow made it up into the overhead luggage racks. Cards could only be so much fun however, eventually all four of them were bored.
"This is boring, I never win!" Kitty exclaimed.
"You keep showing everyone your cards." I replied.
"I'm getting bored with this too." Phoebe replied. "I'm just about to start taking off my clothes."
"What does that solve?" Saphira asked.
"Nothing with the game but it might get Cj horny enough to play with us."
"He's already playing with us." Kitty said.
"I meant other than this game." Phoebe replied.
"Phoebe keep your clothes on and stop talking like I'm not just sitting across from you." I said.
"Well the part of you that liked to have fun isn't here." Phoebe replied. "I don't know where it went but it's gone. And it's the other, boring part that's sitting across from me."
"Why can't you just lay down and let us have our fun?" Phoebe asked.
"You mean your fun?" I asked in return.
"Cj I've been really patient with you." Phoebe replied. "But why are we sitting around here playing cards when you could have all four of us naked right now? I know you're in a bit of pain, but really, are you telling me that if all four of us took our clothes off and played with your thingy it would hurt you soooo badly that you wouldn't get any enjoyment out of it, or atleast more than this really boring card game?"
"Quilll?" Mr. Cinders chirped out of curiosity.
"Arceus, I forgot I let you out." Phoebe replied.
"Just pretend you didn't hear any of that little guy." Phoebe said as she promptly returned him to his ball.
"Well Pheebles when . . . . " I began to say.
"Don't well Pheebles me, lay down get your pants off we're doing this." Phoebe said.
"Why you so pushy all of a sudden?" I asked.
" Because our thingies could be mushed together right now and they aren't and I honestly have no idea why, you're just making up silly excuses not to play with me and it really bothers me Cj." Phoebe said.
"Well honey sometimes I just don't feel up to it. I want to give you my best and I honestly don't think I can do that right now. "
"I don't care about that I just want you." Phoebe replied.
"And what about these 3?" I asked.
"They just add to the fun don't they?" Phoebe replied.
"Maybe a little bit." I replied.
"Cj if you don't enjoy it we'll never do this again. I promise." Phoebe said.
"That would be nice, but I've known you to not keep promises like that." I said.
"Well I mean it this time, I love you, you dummy, why would I want you to do something you don't like?" Phoebe replied.
"Let's just do this already." Phoebe said as she moved in to kiss me.

I watched them for a moment, thinking I should just let them go at it to make it up to Pheebles that way, but Kitty grabbed me and drew me into a kiss a few seconds later.
"Kitty what the hell?" I asked.
"Just relax." She softly replied as Phoebe and Saphira started to undress each other in the background. "This will be fun."
"Come on Zari why are you still sitting there?" Kitty asked.
"Yeah Zari if you're in come on, it'd be safer if you went first." I said.

"You just be careful with those claws ok?" I replied as Zari got up and approached me.

"Why?" Zari asked.
"Because I want to make Phoebe insanely jealous so she stops doing things like this." I said.

"Yeah well, let's see what happens when it's more than just thoughts in my head." I replied.

"Because Cj is being silly." Phoebe replied.
"You're the ones that are naked right now." I replied.

"Sounds like a plan." I said.
"A stupid one." Phoebe commented.
"You know what Pheebles I think you're just afraid that I might be right." I replied.
"Prove it then." Phoebe requested.
"Allright then, how should we start this?" I said.
