63. back to the digital world

-Chapter 63-

That night was the last night I would sleep with Kitty for a while. After the morning routine and breakfast where I reunited with Phoebe and everyone asked Kiera a metric ton of questions.

Phoebe took Saphy over to one of the nearby U.S.C ships where the U.S.C would help her to digivolve, Kitty and I went along for support. Not even IceLeomon' wives could convince him to go, he was terribly afraid of turning into something cute and unimposing again.

The U.S.C scientist showed Saphy to a chamber very similar to, if not the exact same one Kitty entered many years ago. As digimon weren't a very common thing in this part of existence, the technology really hadn't improved that much as there wasn't much of an application for it.

Inside the chamber Saphy was bombarded with a series of highly specialized lasers that for some reason were able to transport data directly into her physical form. Obviously these only work on digimon, when used on a non-digital being it does nothing, aside from potentially causing blindness if one hits somebody in the eye. Ten minutes in the chamber, she had enough to digivolve, at which point the scientists suggested she wait till we get to an open area to do so. As it was possible her new form could damage the ship. So they shuttled us back to our own ship, where the four of us immediately headed to the pool, figuring it was an open enough area for the time being. Once there, Kitty coached her on how to digivolve at will which, as sketchy as that sounds, eventually led to her first digivolution, into a digimon I had never seen or heard of before, the sea-goddess digimon, Oceanamon. Her skin was maybe slightly more of an aqua but was still very similar in color to her previous form. She was now about as tall as Kitty in her Lilithmon form and wore armor that looked like blue dragonhide, in that it was dark blue and scaly, though it was probably from some type of unknown sea digimon. She also now carried a staff as a weapon, with a gold trident like tip, that was made out of some bizarre material that looked like deep blue glass, being slightly translucent, but was as durable as steel. In addition she had some new vanguards on her arms as well, made from a similar material as her armor, and trimmed in gold, with a rectangular opening alongside her wrists suggesting some sort of weapon. Her breasts also received an upgrade, but that seemed pretty typical among female mega-level digimon, for reasons that are beyond me but don't look a gift horse in the mouth. We congratulated her and gazed at her stunning new form for a moment, but Zari was in a rush to go through the time machine so we didn't get much time to see what she was capable of as she called everyone over to the bridge to watch.

Anyway, after Zari gave the call, everyone headed to the bridge to watch as the time machine was started up and we prepared to go through it.

Saphy changed back to her ranamon form to avoid everybody asking questions.

"Here we go Cj, 1210 gigawatts, flowing through 1000 flux capacitors, all spinning at 88000.569 rpm." Phoebe said.

"Say what?" I asked, wondering if I heard her correctly, but she didn't have time to respond before we went through.

Entering the time machine was very similar to entering hyperspace. The ship started to accelerate at a speed beyond what its non-hyperspace propulsion was capable of, all three speedometers, one for each of the three dimensions, eventually climbing to the negative thousands of mph before we were accelerating so fast that the readout could not even be read, about a second later the radar went blank (which Is normal in hyperspace) and the speedometers switched into hyperspace mode which meant that whatever it was showing was that number times the speed of light, until they maxed out that number again at which point the speedometers officially gave up and just displayed ERR. The artificial gravity failed, not designed to operate at this ludicrous speed, everyone started floating towards the upper right of the windshield, gradually at first, but this force became stronger and stronger as the ship continued to accelerate and the gravity got weaker and weaker. Phoebe used her powers to keep us stuck to the floor. Outside the ship it looked like we were playing some kind of raster image video game like asteroids or battle zone but the graphics got completely screwed, everything was either blackness or an almost completely still white line, but after a few seconds these lines gradually started to take the form of a vortex of sorts, then this weird sort of strobe light effect started, everything went black to white, black, to white, black, to white, and closing our eyes did absolutely nothing to stop this like all our eyelids just stopped existing, and then there was nothing but black. No noise, no ship, no corporeal form as far as I could tell.

"What the hell is this?" I thought, to which nobody responded. I didn't have much time to freak out about it before things changed yet again, it's been theorized that this particular state lasts as long as you travel through time, be it forward or backward, but in a state of no form, and no sense, and literally nothing but thought, 100 years might as well be the blink of an eye. This is what it is like to exist outside the fourth dimension, at least for a being incapable of perceiving it properly. Pokémon like Arceus, Celebi, and Dialga, but not Palkia, oddly enough, can see it more clearly, take on corporeal forms, and navigate it on their own pretty well. In our case, the machine Phoebe built was navigating it for us. Anyway, before I could even figure out anything else about this strange state of being, things went back to white, then black, then white, then black, then awhile after doing that more times than I could count, whenever it went white I was gradually able to make out the forms of the bridge and my crewmates, eventually form, definition, and color started to return. Gravity came back.

What seemed to be seconds later I was back on the bridge, against the radar console holding Phoebe's hand, while everyone else but Zari, who had thought to strap herself in to her chair, was pinned against the windshield, which was thankfully quite thick and strong. A vortex of white lines was streaking by outside the windshield before returning to corrupted raster graphics land, the speedometer came back online at what was probably -9999 times the speed of light, and gradually accelerated from there. A few more seconds and we were at sub-light speed, the radar came back online, and things continued to slow down.

Everyone was sore, but ok.

"I guess we should have buckled up." Phoebe said.

"Yeah probably." I replied.

"Are you ok?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, are you?" I asked.

"Mhm." She replied.

"You could've warned us that the gravity was going to fail." A sore Henry said after scraping himself off of the floor surrounded by a cacophony of painful groans.

"I'm sorry I didn't think it would." Phoebe said.

"We went too fast, the generator couldn't keep up." Zari said with a giggle. "That was one hell of a machine Phoebe."

"What's our status?" I asked.

"We're about back to normal cruising speed, all system online, I don't know about the pool or anything in a glass though." Zari replied.

"Power?" I asked.

"80% still have the same amount of rods we had when we entered." Zari said.

"Sweet." I replied.

"Allright Pheebles where we going now?" I asked.

"Um, let's see, the coordinates, 194384, 382390, 4839231" Phoebe said.

"Could you say those again? Slower?" Zari said as she prepared to enter them into the jump drive.

"Yeah sure. I can just type them in if you want." Phoebe replied before doing so.

"Ok that works." Zari said as Phoebe approached her console.

"We made it sister!" Kitty said.

"Mhm, almost. Now shhh we need to get moving." Phoebe replied.

"Allright everyone, if everything just worked properly we should now be about a hundred years in the past." Zari said. "Make sure to get everything you want to keep packed up as we will be leaving the ship in a couple days or so."

Everyone but Phoebe, Zari, Kitty, and I left to go do whatever they normally did.

"How do we know if it worked properly?" I asked.

"We don't know until we get to a planet." Phoebe replied. "If not we're screwed because if you haven't noticed the time machine has disappeared."

"Yeah I saw that, that's alarming." I replied.

"So we're definitely not in the same time." Phoebe said.

"Well we were moving fast so, maybe we're just far away." I said.

"No Cj that's not how it works." Phoebe said.

"All that acceleration you saw was because of time dilation." Phoebe said.

"That acceleration clear to the point the speedometer stopped working up until the gravity gave out and everything went white, that all happened the instant we entered the time stream."

"How?" I asked.

"I'm just going to leave before she makes my head explode. See you later when she's not talking all this sciencee stuff." Kitty Interrupted.

"You know I can do that without saying anything?" Phoebe pointed out.

"I know, I just need to go tend to my garden." Kitty said.

"You know you can't take all those plants with you when we leave the ship?" Phoebe asked.

"I know, but I can take some of the fruit." Kitty replied before kissing me on the cheek and walking out the door.

"What were we talking about again?" I asked.

"Something about time dilation." Zari said.

"Right, ok, because we broke into the time stream, it disrupts our perspective of time, in those few seconds we went back a little more than 100 years." Phoebe said. "It worked exactly as the scientist said it would. When everything went black or white and it was just our thoughts that was when we were going fast enough to travel through the time stream. Anyway, if we made it to the right time, we have one chance to get back to the digital world, and if we can't do that we'll have to wait until I can construct another machine again."

This meant that basically all the non-ageless members of our crew would be out of luck.

"Well, let's hope everything will work out then." I said.

"I'm pretty sure it will Cj." Phoebe confidently insisted.

"We'll just have to see, jumping in 30." Zari said.

"As confident as she is I think we got this." I said.

"Awwwwwwe thankyou Cj." Phoebe replied as she hugged me.

"So how was your night with Kierra?" I asked.

"What? You slept with her too you know she's sexy." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, I just." I began to say.

"It's best if we just don't talk about it from here on out. It was fun, she a nice body, nice tits, I completely understand how it was so easy for Saphy to talk you into banging her." Phoebe said. "We should focus on us now. Just us and nobody else until we are as close as we used to be."

"Oh Pheebles we haven't really drifted that far apart." I said. "I mean Kitty and I have grown a bit close, but I still love you more than anything."

"I know, but if she's not going to marry you, then, you need to start distancing yourself from her." Phoebe insisted.

"Pheebles, now is not the time for that, wait till after we kill the dark kings." I said.

"Besides, you need to start working with Saphy and helping her develop her abilities. " I said. "It took Kitty awhile to discover hers. And I know you're not going to be able to resist sleeping with her and that new gorgeous body she has."

"I will for you Cj." Phoebe replied.

"We'll see." I said. "You're probably already trying to picture her naked."

"So are you! You just stay away from Kitty." Phoebe replied.

"And Zari, and every other member of our harem." She continued.

"I am not part of your harem." Zari objected.

"Sure you're not." Phoebe said mischievously.

"What harem? We've only slept with the newbies once each." I said." Anyway, if you want me to stay away from everybody so bad, I guess I'll just head back to the room and see if we can get any Tv out in the middle of nowhere a hundred years into the past."

The tvs were fuzzy here before we traveled back in time.

"Oh, why don't you come with me? That way if I give in we can just share her." Phoebe said realizing I'd be bored out of my mind if I wasn't allowed to interact with anyone.

"Allright fair enough." I said.

"Wait for the jump." Zari said as the jump drive was getting close to activating.

The ship finished rotating around a few seconds later, prompting the jump drive which was already charged up, to kick on with a low rumble. As usual the radar quit working as stars and various other objects turned into white streaks that flew past the windshield.

After arriving just outside the orbit of what was apparently the planet Phoebe started out on all those years ago, we left the bridge and headed to the pool together, figuring that's where Saphy would be, when we got there, we discovered that the room was dark, and that somehow, Saphy managed to fill the entire room with water, except this water was defying physics, as behind the doors to the pool room there was basically a solid wall of water, where according to physics it should have had more than enough weight to push the doors open and flood the hallway, they weren't automatic doors like most other rooms on the ship.

"What the heck?" I asked.

"I don't know, it must be something Saphy did." Phoebe suggested.

"Don't touch it." Phoebe said as my curiosity got the best of me.

It felt like sticking my hand into a bucket of water, there was no resistance outside of the usual you'd get by sticking a limb in water and even though by all logic it shouldn't have been able to stand, it was, which was very, very peculiar, a few drops hit the floor when I pulled my arm back out, but the rest of it continued to defy gravity. Saphy was nowhere to be seen. She could have been in that mass of water somewhere, but it was impossible to see more than a few feet in.

"Do you think she's in there?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't know, I can't see in very far, and if I go in I don't think I'll be able to breath." I said. "Why don't we check the lounge maybe she's taking a nap?"

"Ok I guess we can do that." Phoebe said.

"If she's not there then we're going to have to get a spacesuit so we can explore this a bit more." I said.

"Right." Phoebe agreed.

Long story short she wasn't in the lounge so we went down to deck 3 and back to get some space suits. By the time we got back all the water was gone, including the water that would've been in the pool to begin with, Saphy was laying tired in the middle of the empty pool, back in her ranamon form, in the dark as apparently when she flooded it she shorted out the lights.

"What was all that about?" Phoebe asked.

"I can create water, out of nothing, lots more than I could before." Saphy replied.

"And apparently you can make it disappear too." Phoebe said.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to fill the whole room, or, um, empty it." Saphy replied.

"You can make walls out of it too apparently." I said.

"Mhm. It's all mine to control." Saphy tiredly replied.

"Did you get tired? Is that why you're a ranamon again?" Phoebe asked.

"It will take awhile for her to get used to her new form, she'll get stronger as she gets used to it, and hopefully what just happened won't be a normal thing." I said.

"Yeah." Saphy agreed.

"Well I guess we won't need these spacesuits then." Phoebe said.

"Nope." I replied.

"Why don't you go take them back? I'll take Saphy to the lounge." Phoebe said.

"Ok but you both better have your clothes on when I get back." I said as she handed me her suit.

"Oh you." Phoebe said before I left.

I headed into the hall and saw the newbies approaching along with Kiera, probably to go for a swim.

"Saphy drained all the water out somehow, it's not a good time to swim. I don't know if we have enough in reserve to refill the pool." I said.

"Are you serious?" Illustria asked.

"Why are you carrying spacesuits?" Selenia asked.

"It's a long story." I replied.

"So I'm just supposed to cook then?" Chalana said.

"Well you could go back to your room." I said. "Or you could wait until Saphy has enough strength to digivolve again and then she could probably bring the water back."

"How long will that be?" Chalana asked.

"No Idea, Phoebe is supposed to be taking her to the lounge right now." I said as Phoebe emerged from the doorway behind me with Saphy draped around her shoulders, of course she was using her powers to help carry her, she wouldn't be nearly that strong without them.

"Hi newbies, sorry you can't go swimming right now." She said as she walked by. "Cj are you going to take those suits back or not?"

"I am, I just stopped to explain some things." I said as Illustria walked passed me to check out the pool for herself.

"Dam you are serious." She said. "The lights don't even work anymore."

"Why would I lie about it?" I asked.

"Well knowing you two you probably have something weird going on in the pool." Illustria said.

"There is something weird." I pointed out.

"Not that kind of weird." Illustria said.

"You guys are weird." Chalana said.

"Actually we had nothing to do with this. It was all Saphy, somehow." I said.

"I know, and she's one of you guys." Chalana said.

"No, she's a digimon, her powers don't really have to follow the rules of nature. And she just became able to digivolve so she doesn't really know how to properly use her new powers yet." I explained.

"Still not that kind of weird." Illustria said.

"Quit acting like you didn't enjoy it." Phoebe said from halfway down the hall.

"Now, if you'll excuse me, I don't want to leave Phoebe alone with her very long, so I need to get these suits back into storage." I said.

"Yeah that's probably for the best." Selenia replied as she went to see the pool for herself.

"Well I'm just going to head back to my room then." Chalana said.

"Yeah well we can tell you when we have it full again, if ever." I said.

"Thankyou." She replied.

"No problem." I said as she turned and walked away.

Kierra stepped forward and kissed me.

"Thanks for letting me back on board, and for last night." She said.

"Well that was Phoebe not me." I said.

"I know, but thanks for letting her, you're so nice." She said.

"Ok." I replied, unsure of how to respond. "What made you decide to come along?"

"It just made more sense to try to fight than die. I saw your ship on the news, some drive by media found the time machine and reported about it, but the idiots didn't know what it was for, but the moment I saw your ship in the footage I knew you were connected." She said.

"You recognized our ship from a news broadcast?" I asked.

"Hell yeah, I never forget a ship, especially a nice one like this. That and your registration number matched, you idiot. I still have the receipts." Kiera said.

"Ok, well, welcome aboard, anyway, I have to get these back to storage, feel free to do anything but go swimming." I said.

And with that I continued the harrowing journey back down to the third deck, then I came back up and reunited with my baby girl in the lounge where Saphy was now resting on the couch.

"Hey you're back and we're still dressed." Phoebe said.

"Yep, congratulations. You win one trust point." I replied.

"I've been studying what the digivice has to say about her new form, it doesn't have much information outside of just general power levels." Phoebe said.

"Well once we get back to the digital world she'll have a lot of open space to practice. So she won't have to go and flood the whole ship." I said.

"Cj, Phoebe, can you come to the bridge please?" Zari asked over the intercom system.

"Now what?" I asked.

"I don't know, just relax Saphy hopefully this won't take long." Phoebe said.

About five minutes later after making it to the bridge. -

"What happened to the pool? The computer says there's multiple electrical failures. The alarm took me by surprise I thought we under attack for a moment." Zari said.

"Saphy flooded the entire pool room. I know she shorted out the lights, I don't know what else she broke." I said.

"How?" She asked.

"New powers." Phoebe replied. "She filled the whole room up, it was weird."

"So I take it the rest of the fourth deck is flooded too?" Zari asked.

"No just the pool room." Phoebe said.

"How?" Zari asked.

"I don't know, but if you don't believe it see for yourself." Phoebe said.

"No it's fine, I can reset the fuse for the lights, I also saw the water was gone." Zari said.

"Yeah, she drained it all out too, somehow." I replied.

"Well if she wants to go swimming again she's going to have to replace it, refilling the pool takes a lot out of our reserves." Zari said.

"I'm aware of that." I replied.

It's about a 30000 gallon pool, and we have about 50000 gallons of clean water storage, which is put in a large number of interconnected tanks between floors and in the walls of the lowest 3 decks, with an extensive grey water filtering and recirculation system, that can stretch it out for a while. The pool, like most pools, has its own filtering system, but generally the water is never completely replaced only added to when needed to account for evaporation. An additional 10000 gallons "green" water is used in a separate system to circulate through the reactor, for cooling reasons, it is never replaced, only added to when needed every few years (as it gradually evaporates over time) and is generally irradiated to the point where it glows in uv light, and is very obviously unsafe for personal use, the tank for this is in the ceiling of the reactor room, very well insulated from the rest of the ship by heavy radiation proof alloys, along with the rest of the room, like the rest of the reactor components, it's generally only tended to by a certified refueling technician. More combat capable ships might have a reserve tank in case the cooling system is compromised, but it's generally not necessary.

"She should be able to replace it, she just needs to rest for a bit." Phoebe said. "It'll be ok Zari, we're getting it taken care of."

"Ok, good. I'll put the lights back on." Zari said. "And then I think I'll go on a break until we're all ready to leave."

"That sounds good." Phoebe said.

"I'm going to miss being on these ships." Zari said.

"Cj will too." Phoebe said. "I just miss my ship."

"Maybe we could head back to your room and have some fun?" Zari asked.

"With both of us?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, that's how it works with you two doesn't it?" Zari asked.

"Normally I'd say yes, but not today." Phoebe said before turning towards me and taking my hands. "We need to focus more on each other."

"You wanna take bets on how long she'll keep that up?" I asked, half-jokingly.

"What like 5 days?" Zari suggested.

"Five? I'd give it three." I replied.

"What are you going to bet with though you have no money?" She asked.

"Good point." I replied.

"Both of you be quiet that's not nice!" Phoebe said.

"I went almost 100 years without it." She said moments later.

"Yeah yeah." I replied.

"So you say." Zari said.

"Eh, I believe her." I replied.

"Really?" Zari asked.

"Yeah we went over this yesterday." I said.

"Yeah so no more betting against me." Phoebe said.

"Eh, I just love how you react." I said.

"Mmmm." She groaned.

"You're such a cutey." I said as I pulled her close.

"But you're gonna say you're not cute, you're sexy aren't you?" I said.

"No, I'm going to say I'm your cutey." Phoebe replied.

"Awwwe aren't you sweet?" I said.

"Sorry Zari, but Cj and I need some time." Phoebe said.

"Allright if you say so." Zari replied.

"Maybe IceLeomon can help you?" Phoebe joked.

"I'm afraid of what his wives would do if they saw me." Zari said.

"I caught them sucking him off once, they left the door open. I closed it, but I think they saw me because they haven't said a word to me since." Zari said.

"Did they have their tops off?" Phoebe asked.

"Pheebles." I scolded.

"I think, I wasn't really looking at their chests." Zari replied.

"Mmm, naughty girl." Phoebe said.

"Looks like I already won the bet." I said.

"No you didn't." Phoebe said as she turned to face me.

"In fact we're going to go back to our room, and I'm going to make you lose." She said.

"Yeah, I'm not really feeling it." I replied.

"Why not?" She asked.

"That would be too easy." I said.

"But you're supposed to be with me on this." Phoebe said.

"I am with you, but at the same time I feel like you need a challenge." I said.

"What challenge? I already went without you for 100 years." She said.

"Yeah, but you had your work to distract you, that's not very realistic, when we get home you're not going to need to worry about controlling millions of people so they can build ships and time machines for you. You're not going to have to search galaxies for me or the kids, we'll probably just be in the next room or right outside, or maybe over in Goldenrod." I said.

"Yeah, but I'll always have you." Phoebe said. "So why can't I have you now?"

"Because you might not always have me, I may have to go do something on my own for some reason." I said.

"Yeah, but why wouldn't you take me along with you?" She asked.

"I don't know." I replied.

"Exactly, we'll always be together." Phoebe said.

"That doesn't mean I want to sleep with you 24/7." I said.

"I know that." She replied.

"Well I'll just let you two work this out, I'll be in my room if you need me." Zari said before getting up from her chair.

"Ok, see you, sorry we can't help you this time." Phoebe said.

After Zari left she let out a sigh.

"Fine, since you want to challenge me so badly, why don't we play some pinball?" Phoebe said. "Since we're going to have to leave those machines behind in a few days anyway."

"Allright." I replied. " If that's what you want."

"No what I want is to ride your wiener and snuggle with you all day." She said.

"Yeah, well, as cute as you are, that gets boring after a while." I said.

"Are you saying I'm not cute enough?" She asked.

"No you know for a fact I mean that even though you're the cutest and most beautiful woman I've ever met sex still gets boring after a while. Isn't that why we brought the newbies on board in the first place?" I asked.

"Yeah, I just thought you needed a little bit of a challenge." Phoebe said. "Come on let's go. This place feels weird when Zari isn't here."

"It does?" I asked.

"Yeah well, it's a cockpit." Phoebe said.

"No it's a bridge." I replied.

"Well same thing It's the control room of an aircraft." She said.

"Spacecraft." I replied.

"Well whatever the point is whenever we're alone in one of these bad things tend to happen." Phoebe said.

"If you say so." I replied as I took her hand and we left the bridge together.

"Although you know I was a captain, I actually do know how to fly these things. It's not like before when I was kind of just guessing from stuff I saw in a videogame." I said.

"I'm not sure which is scarier." Phoebe joked.

"Oh, don't be that way." I said.

" Well when you know what you doing then you take more risks." Phoebe said.

"I just can't win with you can I?" I asked.

"You took out a skyscraper, no, no you can't." Phoebe said.

"It was abandoned, nobody was in it, we were the only ones on the plane." I said.

"Still." Phoebe said.

"Like you could do any better." I said.

"Probably not, but still." She replied.

"You're just trying to drive me crazy aren't you?" I asked.

"That's part of the challenge." She said with a smile.

" What else is part of the challenge?" I asked.

"I don't know." She replied. "I haven't thought about it yet. Maybe I'll make you play that impossible pool game until you finally get the ball in the hole. Maybe I'll just kiss you on the cheek over and over and over for several minutes. I don't know what I'm going to do. That's the fun." Phoebe said.

"I love you.' I said with a sigh.

"Love you." She replied.

"Let's try that impossible pool thing." I said.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yeah we gotta do it at least once before we leave it for, what will probably be forever." I said.

"Ok sure." Phoebe replied.

"I challenge you to put just one ball in the hole." I said.

"Same." Phoebe replied.

"No powers, unless you just use them to hit the cue ball, I'll allow that."

"Interesting." She replied. "We'll see what happens."

"Also what happens if I get it in before you?" She asked.

"Then you pick the next challenge?" I suggested.

"Ok." She said as she rolled her eyes. "You know what that means."

"You're going to challenge me to put another ball in the hole and we're going to keep doing that until somebody wins?"

"What? No." Phoebe said.

We smacked balls around the table for about half an hour until Selenia, Illustria, and Kiera showed up.

They minded their own business for a while at the pinball machines as we continued to unsuccessfully attempt to make any progress in our game whatsoever, until Phoebe, for the third time, managed to send the cue ball flying off the table to the distant corner of the room.

"Wow you both are terrible at this." Selenia said.

"You think you could do any better?" Phoebe asked.

"I know I can, I grew up with this game." Selenia said.

"Go ahead." I said as I handed her the cue.

"Wait on the tiny chance she gets it in do you win because it's your turn?" Phoebe asked.

"No he doesn't win until all his balls are in." Selenia replied. "Are you dots or solids?"

"It's still open table." I replied.

"That figures." She said as she started to line up her shot.

A few minutes later we made it down to the hangar bay, thankfully nobody saw us, except for Zari on the cameras, maybe. In addition to the fighter we also had a U.S.C type 1 shuttle docked next to it now. Kindly donated by the U.S.C, it was basically a glorified space van, with seating for 12 and a fair amount of shielding, but no weapons. Usually intended to transfer personnel between ships and to a planet's surface, and on most planets with typical (earth-like) gravity, it is capable of flying like a small plane. The primary difference between a shuttle and a normal space ship is that shuttles have refillable liquid or solid rocket boosters to enter into orbit, from a planet's surface, in addition to a small reactor drive system for propulsion in space. Shuttles generally only reach the size of a large plane, any larger and they have problems getting into orbit. The largest shuttles are about half the size of the sword, and can seat about 1000 people in a similar manner to an airliner, and they literally look like bigger versions of the space shuttles we're all familiar with, but with more windows. While the one the U.S.C donated to us, looked like a parade float version of one. You could see them all the time on Paloran where people are constantly traveling to and from the planet's surface from the nearby station, where they look like giant missiles going up but land like airplanes. They don't crash very often, most have a backup parachute system if something happens to the control surfaces.

Anyway, we put on spacesuits and climbed into the fighter, and prepared to launch, the hanger bay doors opened and we launched as usual.

"Hey Pheebles, we're in a cockpit alone and nothing bad is happening." I said.

"Yet, are there any stations around?" Phoebe asked.

"Were there any around when you got here?" I asked in return.

"Oh yeah, where's the navigational screen?" She asked.

"Center console, where it usually is." I replied.

"Pheebles that's almost 5000 miles away, this doesn't have a jump drive it will take us nearly two hours to get there." I said.

"It's four hours round trip." I said.

"If I ever get the chance I will take you somewhere special, but not right now." I said.

"Besides don't we need to check on Saphy or something?"

"So why don't we just go for a few laps around the sword and maybe that planet and we'll head back inside?" I suggested.

"Yeah, but why bother with that when we can fly around at 2400 miles per hour?" I asked.

"Because I can do both at the same time." Phoebe said.

"Well I'm not trying to be a pilot. Also you've flown trainer ships?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah to be a captain you kind of have to know how to fly." I said. "The smaller ships are cheaper and more economical to run, plus they can push your abilities a lot easier. Hell before I was captain I flew some of these before when the Apocalla needed escorts, it was usually when they were short-staffed, but still."

The other newbies met the mechanorimon and Harpymon who had been acting as our guide shortly before the portal incident, and apparently stuck around to watch the action, but was on her way out, taking off on her own shortly before we started moving.

After a few hours we were out of the desert and into the forest, Zari was driving, the A/C was working great on full blast, which allowed Challana to be somewhat comfortable outside of the shower, and we were all playing cards, following a roughly layed path through the forest. We didn't know exactly where Indramon went, but we did know where some other dark kings were, hiding in the northern mountains and the frozen lands beyond, where it was cold and Chalana could feel comfortable wearing something more than just her bikini. As far as we knew, these were Ice Daemon, Darkdramon, and Marionamon.

"Why aren't we going after Indramon?" Kitty asked. " He can't be too far away."

"Kitty, we have no idea where he went, he's not at his fort, the only thing we can do is head north, because at least we know there are some dark kings over there."

"Which one are we going after first though?" Phoebe asked.

"Whichever one we come across first." I replied.

"Do you think we can take Darkdramon?" Phoebe asked.

"We're as ready as we'll ever be." I replied.

"Who is Darkdramon?" Chalana asked.

"I don't really know, we've never met him, but he's evil and has an army of kid-sized lizards that carry assault rifles. As well as living tank people." I replied. "They're not lethal to other digimon, but to us, you know they're devastating as a normal gun, if not more so because they have magically replenishing ammo."

"I kind of hope we find Marionamon first." Phoebe said. "Since she just chickened out and ran away from us."

"I just want Indramon to die." Kitty said.

"Why?" Chalana asked.

"Because, when I was just a rookie level, before I even knew that I was destined to meet such an amazing man like Cj, his forces murdered most of my friends, and the rest a long with me were forced into hiding, Ever since he came into power he's done nothing but disgrace this land and murder its citizens and nobody ever stood up to him." Kitty said. "I've been wanting to destroy him ever since."

"I see, so you're like Balu-grebble." Chalana said.

"Who?" I asked.

"It's an old legend, from my planet, but some of the elders used to say it was fact." Chalana replied.

"Are they referring to Iceleomon?" Phoebe asked.

"Oh no no no, it was before he came along." Chalana replied.

"Well you might as well elaborate we have plenty of time." I said.

"Yes, ok." She replied.

"A long time ago, before our planet had any modern technology, there was a king who had such a bad reputation his name has been forgotten, all references to it have been scrubbed clean, all portraits of him destroyed, you get the idea.

"How did he get into power?" I asked.

"He killed the previous king, that was back when that was still acceptable. He was the reason it was changed. Now it's considered treason and grounds for execution. While the title goes to whoever is next in line, or one of the advisors. Or Elishen and Kaytori, in IceLeomon's case, before he left anyway. " Chalana said.

"So where does this Balu-grebble guy come in?" I asked.

"Well the story goes that his entire family was only one of the many murdered by this king, who was hell bent on killing anybody that was unable to pay their yearly tribute, to the point where entire villages were burned to the ground, but he himself was out playing in the forest and was spared." Chalana replied. The boy ran into the forest after seeing what had happened, and somehow didn't get eaten by the moon howlers or the large white flyers.

"The what?" I asked.

"They're large black and white mightyenas and white articunos Cj." Phoebe explained.

"So wolves and birds?" I asked.

"Yes." Phoebe replied. "Except the bird is a bit more pidove looking than articuno looking."

"I'm confused." Kitty said.

"It's a big fat white bird and a very mean white dog." I said.

"It's more of a black spotted dog." Phoebe replied.

"Oh I see." I said. "Like a dalmation?"

"But not as friendly looking." Phoebe said.

"Can I continue?" Chalana asked.

"Yeah, sorry I'm just helping him understand." Phoebe said.

"Anyway, he spent many years on his own, in the forest, while the forgotten king continued his reign of terror. He witnessed many of his horrible acts, as well as many people who refused to stand against their king, even those who had family members murdered by him. One day, however, he came across a family who told him their plan of traveling all the way to the southern colonies, where the king's power was more limited. He joined up with them, and managed to pull his own weight, but they had a run of bad luck stemming from a broken cartwheel and a coincidental patrol that ended up taking their lives and leaving the boy, who had become adept at hiding in the woods at this point, alone once again. However, now he had a horse and with it he was able to continue his journey south. Across the scorching heat of the volcanic mountains to the new frozen lands on the other side, Once there he used his story to inspire rebellion, igniting an uprising which, in addition to the king spreading his tyranny further and further south, would eventually lead to the decade long revolutionary war and the death of the king. And as the main leader of the war, and the one primarily responsible for the king's demise, the boy, now a man, was seen as the new king by all, and throughout his reign he was loved throughout the land. And while the previous king has been forgotten, his name will live on forever."

"Um what is his name?" Kitty asked.

"Balu-grebble." Chalana replied in disbelief.

"So they really forgot that other guy's name?" Phoebe asked.

"There's no image of him or written reference anywhere, even his birth records were destroyed. His corpse was burned to ash in a combustion chamber along with his most diehard loyalists."

"Combustion chamber?" I asked.

"It's a method of execution we used to have for dealing with only the most heinous of criminals. It's a stone building, but there would be a shallow channel built around it and filled with firewood, they would build a fire around it to raise its internal temperature to the point where the walls burn on contact and it becomes very hard to breath, then they fill it with very finely ground coal dust until you literally can't breathe, then they ignite it, it explodes, and pretty much instantly incinerates everyone inside." Chalana explained.

"Brutal." I replied.

"Yes, that's why it doesn't happen anymore. None of those buildings even exist anymore." Chalana said.

"We gardevoirs don't execute." Phoebe replied. "The worst punishment we have is punishment 99 psyhorn removal and ejection from the community, which means they're basically left alone with their powers permanently crippled, even other pokémon know what it means and might refuse to help those punished. I've never seen it carried out though, though I've met other gardevoirs that were more than deserving of it."

"I thought execution was punishment 100?" I asked.

"It is, but never in all of recorded gardevoir history has it been issued." Phoebe said.

"Maybe it has but the ones that were issued it were so horrible they were forgotten." Chalana suggested.

"What?" A confused Kitty asked.

"Ehh, maybe." Phoebe replied. "But if there ever was it would've had to have been centuries ago. Possibly even before the Hoen colonies were established."

Mr. Cinders, our young, red and silver cyndaquil from an alternate pokémon universe where that was their normal color, was sitting on the table and was pre-occupied with quietly watching the scenery pass by out the window. Needless to say, Phoebe was overjoyed to be reunited with her pokémon, though the reunion would have wait until later. We all felt like we were pressed for time. Like any day now deusmon could come and destroy everything, even though he hadn't even been resurrected yet.

Meanwhile a few thousand miles to the northwest, a group of kogamon, ogremon, and stingmon, under the command of Volkheim of the Bubblemen, were chasing the trailmon that was carrying Marionamon to the north, believing Phoebe could be on board, as trailmon this far north were not a very common sight anymore. Before the dark kings came into power they would frequently travel across the multiple rail lines carrying both digimon and cargo. Now most stuck to either the far north or far south, away from most of the fighting and genocide. The extreme heat and cold of these areas didn't phase them as much as other, more organic digimon. Anyway, the trailmon, another one of the corrupted armored types, similar to one that was destroyed in a catastrophic derailment just a week or so ago. Quickly outran all but the stingmon, who engaged in battle with several nohemon who climbed up onto the roofs of the passenger carriages in order to defend the train along with Marionamon. Ultimately the nohemon prevailed, but word got back to Volkheim, and now he was interested in sending his entire force to the north, still believing that Phoebe was probably on that train.

Further north, in what used to be grankuwagamon's territory, the palmon we had befriended early on in our journey through the digital world had succumbed to deusmon's code and was now a black lilymon, which was like a lilymon, but less cute and more evil looking, her petals were black instead of pink, and her skin was just slightly grayer than a regular lilymon's. Her eyes went from black, to a somehow creepier wine red, with no pupils. Her wings and boots were a midnight blue, with her wings looking a bit sharper and more jagged than normal. Her fingernails, in addition to being longer than a normal lilymon, were such a bright red that it was almost like they were glowing. We never should have let her absorb duskmon's data really, but we didn't know it at the time. We didn't even have the digibabes yet to inform us that that was a bad idea.

Anyway, since we parted ways, the evil inside her began to grow. For several days while we were out getting drafted into fighting the first few dark kings, and the Bubblemen were out constructing an army out of the remains of their armies. Things really didn't change much for her, she didn't even feel anything wrong at first, it came on so slow it all seemed natural to her, and before long she found herself murdering a floramon over a stack of cabbages, then she got kicked out of her village and things only got worse from there, as she became somewhat of a serial killer, targeting weak digimon that for whatever reason were out wandering the forest on their own, floramon, wormon, mushroomon, kunemon, dokunemon, even other palmon, she attacked biyomon and tentomon as well, but they could fly so they usually were able to escape. They all turned from potential friends to nothing more than just more data for her to absorb, eventually she was able to stay a togemon full time, which meant woodmon, dokugamon, kiwimon, all the veggiemon variations and all the other champions in the forest were on the menu as well, and rookies were no longer necessarily safe in groups, at that point Grandkuwagamon was out of the way, so there was a bit of a power vacuum in the forest. She started giving champions the option to join her, though after what happened to Grandkuwagamon very few did, especially since she was still just a champion herself.

In the early days of her rise to power, what ones did join usually didn't last very long anyway, as she often used them to shield herself.

After eventually assembling a small army she went from attacking groups of traveling digimon to attacking entire villages to get her body count up even higher until she was able to become the twisted version of Lilymon she was now. This is when her army really started to grow, as villages surrendered she suddenly had a lot more data to work with, a lot of rookies were destroyed, particularly those of the non-plant variety, and their data given to others, especially those of the plant variety, floramon, mushroomon and palmon, in order to form a steady supply of champions.

Normally she would have established a kingdom to replace grankuwagamon's, but after the loss of a few dark kings they all felt deusmon calling them to the north now, so she kept moving, bringing death and destruction wherever she went, with a slowly growing entourage of plant digimon following her, as most of the surviving insect digimon either retired, went to Volkheim's army, or still followed Arukenimon. Many of them could also simply outrun her, much to her annoyance, an option the typically slow moving plant digimon didn't have. She sent her army to all corners of the forest to destroy and recruit more digimon, as she would need all the data she could get a hold of to make up for the dark kings that had been defeated.

The closest thing she had to a lieutenant was Violetmon, which was similar to a Lilamon, but with more jagged, deep purple petals, midnight blue leaves, similar to her own, and slightly grayer, less human-like skin. Like blacklilymon herself, nightmareunimon and several other "shadow" digimon, they are quite a rare variety that only occurs when a normal digimon either becomes sufficiently evil, which is extremely rare, not even one in a million, or is more commonly, about 1 in 10000, exposed to "evil" data, either from deusmon or several minor demonic sources that nobody really knows the origin of or even how many exist, evil digimon that existed long ago but have been shredded into so many pieces nobody even knows who they were or what they did. Unlike deusmon their power is limited and they aren't much more threatening than a typical mega, at this point most of them didn't even remember who they were anymore, all that was left of their data was the wickedness itself, unlike deusmon, they didn't have the sentience anymore to try to reform themselves, all they could do was corrupt. They tend to take the form of a data cloud that shows up on seemingly random and rare occasions. Which, being a data cloud with no unconscious digimon form nearby, is assumed by most digimon to be free data and fair game to consume. Normal "stray" data clouds also appear on occasion typically when the entire digital world is getting close to a major reformation event, otherwise they're about as rare as the evil ones, and appear because of glitches in typically unseen systems, such as deep below the ground or the air itself, or with various objects, literally anything but the digimon themselves can become glitched, but it's a rare event.

As Violetmon wasn't a dark king, her wickedness was not from deusmon, but the fact that they both had evil data in them gave them something in common, and black lilymon just had the slightest amount more respect for her than any other digimon. The closest thing she had to a friend since her corruption.

Her army primarily consisted of woodmon, and the 3 veggiemon varietys, normal, red, and weedmon. As well as a handful of cherrymon, blossomon, and sunflowmon, and a few birdramon and aquillamon for airpower.

This all came to a head when Arukenimon, attempting to make up for past deeds, found her, and the two small factions of insect and plant digimon went to a long, drawn out war, denying her to progress any further.

No other dark king was even aware of her existence, as they assumed duskmon had been defeated, so she was left to defeat Arukenimon on her own.

In the alternate timeline where we never made it back to the digital world, she eventually wins and continues further north to unite with the others, eventually abandoning and massacring her army which, being mostly plants, couldn't continue to follow her as they couldn't stand the cold, the brutality on display was enough of a shock that violetmon snapped back to a normal Lilamon, only to be murdered as Blacklilymon was not fond of her new form.

Anyway, we kept traveling north until Illustria cut us off and got out of her mechanorimon, with Kiera and Selenia finding places to land nearby.

"What's going on why did we stop?" I asked.

"Um, Illustria got out to talk to Henry for some reason." Zari replied.

"Maybe she's thirsty." Kitty said.

"Crap we should really get some more cabbages." I said after Kitty reminded me.

"Oh the newbies would love that." Phoebe said.

"Cabbages?" Chalana asked.

"You'll see when we get some, I don't want to ruin the surprise." Phoebe said.

"Actually, I still have a few on my digivice." Phoebe said. " I guess I don't need to save them anymore."

"80 year old cabbages." I said.

"They're still good, they've been in the digivice all that time." Phoebe said.

"If they're that good then why did you keep them around without eating them for so long?" Chalana asked.

"Because they're very special and they don't exist outside the digital world." Phoebe said.

"I went through mine in the first few weeks of the portal incident. Then I had to steal bread for food and it sucked." I said.

"What about Zari?" Chalana asked.

"She never got a digivice and I don't remember, but I doubt she was holding a cabbage when the portal went crazy." I said.

"I wasn't." Zari said.

"Hey, she's coming over here now so we'll see what this is about." Zari said a few seconds later as she propped open the doors.

Illustria came onboard a few seconds later.

"Can we take a break? Those giant robot things suck, my arms are sore, my feet are sore, my butt is sore, Leni and Kiera are tired too." She said.

"Well we've been traveling for what five, six hours? And mechanorimon aren't the most comfortable things." I said.

"Yeah, but we're in a hurry, we need to stop deusmon from being resurrected." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, but we don't know how long that took Pheebles. I doubt it was just a day, if it was then we're already screwed." I said.

"True." Phoebe agreed.

"I think we can take it a bit easy since we all just got back." Zari said.

"Not too easy though.' Phoebe said.

"How long of a break do you want?" Zari asked.

"I don't know, just enough to go for a walk I guess." Illustria replied as IceLeomon and his wives climbed down from the roof.

"What's going on?" Asked one of his wives who I still couldn't tell apart after all this time. I wondered if IceLeomon could himself.

"We're just going to take a break from traveling for a bit, stretch our legs, you know."

"Excellent." Iceleomon said. 'J could use a good walk. Let's go girls."

He pulled both of his wives close and they walked into the forest together.

"See you later." He said.

"You think they're actually going to go for a walk or is he just going to screw their brains out?" Phoebe asked.

"No idea and I don't see why it matters Pheebles." I replied.

"He's definitely nailing them." Illustria said as Zari nodded in agreement.

"Don't talk about him like that." Chalana said.

"Sorry it's just he seemed in such a hurry to wander off." Phoebe replied.

"Maybe one of them really had to pee." Kitty said with her usually degree of innocence.

"Maybe." Zari replied with a laugh.

"Don't talk about them like that." Challana said.

"Sorry." Kitty apologized.

"Why don't we go for a walk too Cj?" Phoebe asked. "That way I can see all my pokémon again."

"Not without me." Kitty whined.

"Sure, fine, come along if you want." Phoebe said. "Zari what are you going to do?"

"I'll go with you." Zari said.

"Is everyone just going to leave me alone on the bus?" Chalana asked.

"Oh right, it's still too hot for you and you don't have somebody cold like IceLeomon to cling to." Phoebe said.

"Come with us anyway, I think Cloudela can help you." Phoebe said. "Bring your icepacks."

"Ok." Chalana replied.

"OK I'll get Leni and Kiera and we'll go our own way." Illustria said.

"Allright sure." I said.

"What you think we're too weird?" Phoebe asked.

No but if we split up a little more into groups we can see more of the area." Illustria said. "Maybe we can find a town."

"You three going to be allright coming across a digimon town on your own?" I asked. " Some digimon can get pretty weird looking, it doesn't mean they're evil. They're not all total babes like these two."

"Hey." Saphy objected.

"Oh, it's a compliment, just take it." Phoebe said as Kitty just stood there and blushed.

"He's right though some of them are big creepy bug monsters." Phoebe said.

"Most of them are rookies so they're all about kid-sized." I said. "You might come across a few champions that are usually taller, if you're lucky you may come across an ultimate, like these two and IceLeomon, but they're pretty few and far between. If you see one you like don't be afraid to try to befriend it or recruit it. There were supposed to be some chosen digimon that we were supposed to partner with, but so far, these two and IceLeomon are the only ones we've come across I think the others may have gotten bumped off or captured before we could find them."

"We never even found out what digimon they were supposed to be." Phoebe added.

"Yep." I replied.

"So come on everybody let's go!" Phoebe said, gabbing her purse, which had her pokemon and other things inside, off of the cargo rack as Zari shut the bus off.

The six of us went for a walk together, while the newbies minus Chalana went in a different direction along with Henry and Claire, and IceLeomon and his wives. There wasn't much to see out here, a lot of trees, not a lot of digimon, maybe a few bushes and various colored digiroot plants that resembled carrots until you pulled them out of the ground and discovered that not only were they not shaped like carrots, instead they came in a wide variety of curly shapes. They also came in a wide variety of colors, each of which had its own use, presumably. We started stashing whatever ones we could find in our digivices, even though we were unaware what most of them were used for aside for the white ones that had healing properties. The others were basically used with crafting machines to make various chemicals, such as glue or a few different types of plastic, as well as several magic potions we never really became familiar with. Like all the other resources in the digital world, if picked and left alone for several hours they would start to regrow again on their own, though they could grow into a different color, white seemed to be the rarest color, while all the others seemed to have about the same chance of appearing, though we didn't really pick enough to tell whether it really was rarer or if it was just a random fluke. All in all we found 5 white, 20 blue, 17 green, 13 red, 11 purple, 16 yellow, and 12 orange.

"So where are all the birds and the bugs?" Chalana asked as she scanned the trees.

Cloudela, our light type cloud-like pokémon that we hadn't seen in ages, as Phoebe usually carried it around, refroze her icepacks, so she could stay cool on her own for a little while.

"They don't exist, except for bird and bug digimon." I said.

"Thankfully the bugs here are usually friendly and a lot less annoying and creepy." Phoebe added.

"What about the birds?" Chalana asked.

"Birds usually aren't that much of a problem to begin with." Phoebe said.

"It's kind of weird, nothing being out here but plants." Chalana said.

"Yeah we should have come across a floramon or two by now, or a wormon, or a biyomon or something. It's definitely not supposed to be this empty." Saphy said.

"They probably all ran away." I said.

"Or Indramon destroyed them." Zari added.

"He's going to pay for every digimon he has killed. It's been a long time, but I haven't forgotten him." Kitty said.

"Calm down Kitty, we'll get to him eventually." I said. "And then you can do whatever you want with him."

"Can I hypnotize his centaurumon to stick their things inside him?" Kitty asked.

"Ew why would you do that? Saphy asked.

"No Kitty, that's too much." Phoebe replied.

"Eh, as long as we don't have to watch." I said.

"CJ!" Phoebe protested.

"He's a dark king it's not like he doesn't deserve it." I replied. "Besides, if it makes her happy."

"Really after what she did to Kayla? No no no, a thousand times no." Zari asked in disbelief.

"We could construct a combustion chamber." Challana said.

"Um not only would that take too long I'm not entirely sure that would work. Digimon don't really take damage according to the laws of physics. Like Kitty, she could get hit with lasers or bullets several times and for her it's like she just tripped or something far less.

"It still hurts." Kitty said.

"Yeah but you can still walk around and fight whereas a normal person would be dead." I replied.

"I guess that's true." Kitty replied.

"Just destroy him like the others there's no need to make him suffer like that." Zari said.

"It lets her get her revenge, that's enough of a reason." I said.

"That doesn't make it right Cj." Phoebe said.

"I don't really care about what's right, it's about what's best for her." I said. "Considering it doesn't actually harm the rest of us, what's the problem? Might as well just let her have her fun. "

"You shouldn't be encouraging that kind of behavior." Phoebe said.

"Well as long as it's directed towards somebody that's pure evil I don't really give a damn." I said.

"Well what if I started trying to do stuff like that?" Phoebe asked. At this point the others just kind of distanced themselves from the three of us.

"You wouldn't because you're you." I replied.

"You've stopped me before." Phoebe said.

"Just let it go Pheebles." I said.

"No, not until you tell her she can't do that." Phoebe said.

"Fine I won't if you're going to get all upset about it." Kitty said. "He's still going to die though."

"Thankyou." Phoebe said.

"I'm just going to have to find another way to make him squeal in pain." Kitty said.

"No you're not." Phoebe said. " You keep talking like that you won't even get to kill him, we'll do it without you."

"Yes Cj, I know she's your digimon, but she's my little sister now too so." Phoebe said with a raised before I could say anything.

"I'm taller than you." Kitty said.

"As invalid as that is, she has a point, what makes you the big sister?" I said.

"I'm older." Phoebe replied. "And I was your wife before you even started dating her."

"Are you older though?" I asked.

"I don't know, Kitty how old are you?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't know." Kitty replied. "At least 80."

"Well yeah, we all know that." Phoebe said. "RRRR, It doesn't matter who is older, I am your wife."

"Yeah that's true, and I still love you, but you're not sisters you're sister wives." I said.

"No, I'm your wife, she's our virara and my honorary sister." Phoebe said.

"Yeah." Kitty agreed.

"Kitty with that just do whatever makes you happy allright?" I said as I put my arm around her. "Even if it is just listening to Pheebles."

"Ok." She replied. "With what?"

"With Indramon, once we have him subdued, I guess." I said, wondering if she was even paying attention.

"Ok." She replied.

" ughph." Phoebe said as she crossed her arms in disappointment.

"Oh Pheebles, its one dark king, what's that you always say? It will be fine." I said.

"Yeah well we'll see." Phoebe replied.

"Are you guys coming or what?" Zari yelled from a few 100 feet or so ahead of us.

"Well why'd you keep walking?" Phoebe asked after she quickly grabbed our arms and teleported us over to them.

"It seemed like you needed to work that out amongst yourselves." Zari replied.

"Yeah I was getting worried you were going to start yelling at eachother again." Saphy said.

"No, not anymore, we're passed that." Phoebe said.

"Good." Saphy replied.

-A few minutes later -

"Where are we going exactly?" I asked as we all seemed to be following Zari around.

"No idea." Phoebe replied.

"I don't know, I'm just exploring." Zari said.

"Are we lost?" I asked.

"No, I've been watching, I can get us back to the bus." Phoebe said.

"Good." I replied.

"Chally you keeping cool?" Phoebe asked.

"I'm allright." Chalana replied.

"Well just let me know if your icepacks need refreezing again." Phoebe said.

"I will, thank you." Chalana replied.

"Did you see the rest of your pokémon yet Pheebles?" I asked.

"I will once we get wherever we are going." Phoebe replied. " I've missed them so much. I really should get a dress with some pockets or something."

"Yeah if we ever find a place where you can buy one." I said.

"I think I already had one made, I just haven't worn it yet." Phoebe said.

"Oh really what color?" I asked.

"It's gray, that way it will go with almost anything." She said. "Maybe I'll wear it tomorrow."

"Ok baby girl." I replied.

"Guys I think I see some sort of treehouse up ahead." Zari said.

"It's probably a village, let's go check it out." I replied.

Soon we could all see what Zari was talking about, there did appear to be a treehouse up ahead. In some spots there were even holes left behind where trees had been cut down, with the stumps relocated so they would regrow elsewhere out of the way. Sadly all that was there was it a few storage sheds for materials, a few other treehouses like it, and some small empty fields that would have contained cabbages at one point, but had gone unused for so long that the grass was starting to take over. There was no digimon in sight though there were some supplies left behind in the sheds, including some wood and various kinds of digiroot that had been gathered up and stacked into a pile, along with some barrels full of sand, water, and a small amount of ore that would have to have been brought in from somewhere far away, the sand was likely from somewhere back in the desert to the south. There was a large container for cabbages, but it was empty, and the fields where it would have been grown were picked clean. There were also a handful of machines that would be used to turn these resources into various useful objects around. Sadly they weren't of much use to us at the moment, we didn't really need anything.

The tree houses were devoid of life, but clean and pretty well furnished. Judging from the size of the houses and of the furniture, 15 were furnished for rookie digimon, while another 3 were for champions or higher.

"Do you think that whatever digimon lived here are still alive?" Saphy asked.

"I don't know, all the food is gone, so maybe they abandoned it, but, we're not so far from the desert as to be out of Indramon's reach." Phoebe said.

"All the buildings are in decent shape." Zari said. "I think it was abandoned."

"Yeah, but then why did they leave so much behind?" I asked, as each house was almost fully furnished aside from appliances, which digimon didn't use very often, and were not exceedingly common as they were too complex for the maker machines to make.

"They probably didn't think it was as important as the food." Phoebe said.

"Eh maybe." I replied.

"I don't like it here, this place doesn't feel right." Chalana said.

"Yeah, it kind of makes you wonder what happened doesn't it?" I asked. "Anyway we should probably get back to the vehicles before dark."

"If this creeps you out Chally, you better get used to it, we've seen a lot of places like this." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, she's right, there's a lot of empty worlds out there." I said.

"Henry's was pretty bad." Phoebe said.

"What was that one like again?" I asked.

"Everything was dead, there were skeletons everywhere, that was when we found the first bus remember? And it smelled so bad." Phoebe tried to remind me.

"Oh, right, I think I got it now, yeah that sucked. I still remember that fucking smell." I said.

"How long have you been traveling through here?" Chalana asked.

"Not including the 80 years we spent in the last world, maybe a few months or so." I said.

"Usually we don't get stuck in one place for very long, but since we got separated that time things kind of went to crap."

"Hopefully it never happens again." Phoebe said as she tightly clung to me.

"Yeah, hopefully." I replied.

"And if it does no more hooking up with other girls." Phoebe said.

"I was kind of forced too that time." I said.

"Not with Kitty." Phoebe said.

"I was alone Pheebles." I replied. "Hadn't seen you in 60 years, had no way of knowing if you were still alive."

"I was alone and didn't know if you were alive either." Phoebe said.

"Yeah well I didn't expect you to hold out that long." I said.

"Here they go again." Zari said.

"Oh yeah and Zari too." Phoebe said.

"Don't drag me into this." Zari said.

"I'm not mad I'm just trying to drive him crazy." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah I know, I can tell." I said.

"Oh and Saphy too." Phoebe added.

"With Kiera." Phoebe continued.

"And yet you'd still rather be married to me and Kitty than any of them." Phoebe said.

"Well we should probably start heading back." Zari said.

"Yeah." Chalana replied.

"Mhm." Saphy agreed.

"Do you know the way back?" Phoebe asked.

"No." Saphy said.

"I'm pretty sure we came in from this direction." Zari said as she started to walk away."

"You better go help them Pheebles." I said.

"I know, I could stand here and hug you forever though." Phoebe replied.

"Me too." Kitty added.

"Yeah well, we can do that and more once we get back to the bus and help set up camp." I said.

"Mmm, so you want both of us tonight?" Phoebe asked.

"Is that ok with you Kitty?" I asked.

"Ok." Kitty replied.

"Allright then." Phoebe said before letting me go and turning away towards the other.

"Zari wait up that's the wrong way!" She yelled, cutely running towards them while flailing her arms around.

Kitty pulled me into a kiss a few seconds later.

"What was that for?" I asked.

"I don't know, I just felt like it." She replied.

"Oh, allright, come on, let's get going." I said.

"Ok." She agreed.

Eventually we returned to the vehicles and began to set up camp as it was going to be dark soon, and driving through the forest in the dark was kind of a pain in the butt, even though the trees were all unnaturally spaced out so we could easily drive through them, they were still everywhere and kind of hard to see. And there were enough bushes and other smaller, squishable plants around that the light from the headlights would not travel very far. The foliage was dense enough that it blocked out most of the already minimal amount of moonlight.

We helped set up tents and sleeping bags, but no fire as it was plenty warm and everyone really just wanted to get some sleep. After that was all set up, I retreated to the bus with my ladies in tow, and we started losing our clothes and having fun. And Kitty just started riding my cock and Phoebe was just about to sit on my face when she spaced out alongside us and glanced towards the door, and I got just the slightest inkling that something was about to happen as Kitty pulled my hands up to her breasts

"Kitty get off of him and get down." Phoebe said.

"Wah?" Kitty asked.

"What the hell is going on?" I asked.

"Stop boinking her and pull her over you." Phoebe said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because." Phoebe began to say, but was cut off by the sound of Zari prying the door open. Immediately climbing into the driver's seat and starting the engine while Chalana and Saphy climbed on after her, carrying several rolled up sleeping bags, and a couple of loud thumps were heard indicating IceLeomon had climbed onto the roof, presumably with his wives. While all that was happening Kitty pulled herself off of me and Phoebe covered us up with the blanket before quickly throwing her dress back on.

"You might want to get dressed." Zari said, her, Saphy, and Chally keeping their eyes fixed on the front of the bus after realizing what we were doing.

"Awwwe really?" Kitty asked.

"We'll continue this later Kitty, I guess." I said before pulling her close and kissing her.

"Can't we just finish now?" Kitty asked.

"Don't you dare." Phoebe said.

"Awwwwwe but sister." Kitty.

"No, get your clothes back on." Phoebe said.

"Now why are we moving and what the fuck is so important you had to barge in here?" I asked.

"Just get dressed there's no time." Zari said.

It was kind of hard to find our clothes with the bus moving around in the dark, but somehow we managed it.

"Ok can you please tell me what is going on?" I asked.

"From what I can gather Henry and Claire snuck off together, then they came back saying they found a bunch of sleeping centaurumon not far from our camp. Claire freaked out and they started to wake up so we really do need to get moving." Phoebe explained as she got dressed herself.

"How the fuck did we not see them earlier?" I asked.

"I guess nobody went that way earlier." Phoebe said. "They were off to the west everyone explored the north or east, while we headed northwestish to that village."

"I don't know, but we need to get out of here. Otherwise they'll encircle us and we're screwed." Zari said.

We can't just fight them off?" I said.

"Too many Cj." Phoebe said.

"And what If Indramon is with them? This could be our best chance to stop him." I continued.

"Not during the night Cj, besides this is an openish area, they have the advantage here." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, that's sort of true." I replied.

"How dare he interrupt our love making?" Kitty said with some anger.

"Chill out babe. Everything is fine we just made a minor mistake." I said.

"Next time we explore every direction." I said.

"Crap there's some ahead of us." Zari said as the bus started to slow down.

"Kitty why don't you go ahead and digivolve?" I asked.

"Ok." She agreed.

"You too Saphy." Phoebe said. "Let's see what you can do now."

The entire bus shook as IceLeomon jumped down from the roof and charged at our attackers, of course he left his wives safely behind. They climbed down on their own and got onboard just as Kitty and Saphy got off in their respective digivolved forms. Centaurumon could run pretty damned fast, easily faster than the bus since we had to maneuver pretty slowly to avoid the trees. I started to pull various weapons out of my digivice to arm myself as well as the other girls aside from Phoebe who got her shurikens out. Henry and Claire started firing at them with laser pistols they brought over from the other world. While the newbies minus Chalana attacked with the mechanorimon. Things went from a nice night of lust to total chaos in about five minutes. There were numerous projectiles flying all around. We used the trees for cover. But it was hard to tell what was going on. Most of the light was coming from the bus as well as Henry's Camaro, and the mechanorimon which had a pretty good lighting system, but they were flying around constantly so it was like there were half a dozen helicopters hovering around trying to spot the bad guys.

Some unimon showed up as well, but they mostly stuck to fighting the mechanorimon. A few swooped down and tried to attack us only for one to crash right into a tree and burst into data, a comical suicide, after that they stayed above the tree line.

From what I could tell Kitty hypnotized a couple of centaurumon and made them fight the others.

I used the Obelisk assault rifle to shoot at whatever centaurumon I could see, when I could see one, and nearly everyone else did the same with whatever weapons they had.

Phoebe pulled back her shurikens, which, since she couldn't see anything, were really just causing more chaos than necessary, and instead focused on finding and illuminating targets. A risky move that put her in the direct line of fire, but one that paid off in the end.

Saphy's new form proved to be much more combat capable than her previous. She now possessed these water jets that were stupidly powerful, being able to violently push the centaurumon around and even destroy them completely if she could get them pinned against a tree or the ground, or any other solid object. Once Phoebe started illuminating targets for her and Kitty things started to turn around pretty quickly as we started to take them down one by one. And all was going well until very faintly to the west we heard "Horn of Desolation" and we were all suddenly thrown to the east by a powerful, unseen force, along with countless leaves and sticks and other tree parts. Nearly everyone collided with a tree at some point, the bus almost tipped over. Everyone was confused and in pain, and we couldn't see much but the gigantic silhouette of what could only be indramon passing in front of the bus's headlights. IceLeomon charged at him and was quickly shoved aside. Henry started firing at him, but it didn't seem to do much. The newbies and the mechanorimon, the only ones that avoided his attack along with Phoebe, were firing at him as well, when they could, but apparently they were so ineffective that he just ignored them, and there were also still quite a few unimon to deal with, so they couldn't keep shooting at him for long. Phoebe did get hit by it, but her telekinetic abilities nullified the damage.

I dropped my gun when I got thrown, it was too dark to find it. Chalana and Claire dropped theirs as well, and Zari broke her arm so she wasn't really able to shoot. Phoebe teleported next to me and then teleported me again behind the scene to the west.

"Are you hurt?" She asked.

"I'll be fine, my back is a bit sore but, I'm not bleeding or anything, what are you doing Pheebles?" I asked.

"Saving you." She said. "Now I have to save the others." She said before annoyingly teleporting away again.

"Crazy running into you here, I guess you didn't care to save the other world." Indramon spoke.

"No matter, you couldn't save them anyway, you can't even save yourselves." He continued to gloat while Phoebe rescued Claire, Zari, Chalana, and Iceleomon's wives, but not Henry because he was still shooting at him, and rescuing him would clue Indramon in to what was going on. Everyone was banged up pretty bad. Everyone stayed quiet to avoid getting Indramon's attention, nobody said a word as we watched the battle play out before us. At this point Indramon was solely focused on Henry.

Illustria tried to get up close and personal instead of just using the laser, but her mechanorimon was no match for him and was quickly smashed aside and into a tree which proved to be fatal for the poor robot, banged up pretty badly, but still conscious, she hobbled into the forest as Indramon briefly pursued her before returning his attention to Henry when she disappeared into the darkness. Afterwards Phoebe went and recued her. This was enough for the other newbies to figure out that this was not a good idea.

I didn't know where Kitty and Saphy went, Phoebe couldn't find them in the dark. IceLeomon was too hurt to get up. Indramon still thought everyone was over there, but really he was only approaching Henry and the digibabes at this point. So Indramon casually approached him, and was about to destroy him completely, and there wasn't a damned thing we could do about it without drawing attention to ourselves.

Phoebe got her shurikens back out and started to attack him. Which apparently hurt him enough to divert his attention, combined with the five mechanorimon still in play she made quite a nuisance of herself as usual, teleporting around, keeping him from being able to aim at her. This went on for a couple minutes until indramon gave up and went back to Henry, who managed to drag himself a bit further into the forest. It was obvious he was hurt pretty bad, like the rest of our team at this point. Indramon seemed dead set on killing him, apparently having forgotten everyone else.

"Stop running you pathetic insect, your time is up." Indramon said.

Saphy shot him in the face with her water jet gauntlet things, while Kitty stabbed him in the back with the Nazar nail. This caused him significant pain, but despite looking like a mortal wound, it was not. He slammed Kitty against a tree and used his horn of desolation attack on Saphy, tossing her further east into the surrounding forest, out of sight of the rest of us, stripping hundreds of leaves off of the trees in the process. Phoebe continued to attack him but he was ignoring her now. Now he turned his attention towards Kitty who hadn't yet pried herself off of the tree she was slammed against.

Phoebe stopped attacking in order to rescue her from what likely would have been a fatal blow. Revealing her abilities to indramon for the first time, but fortunately it didn't seem to sink in.

Not knowing where Phoebe had taken her, his attention returned to Henry.

Phoebe brought her back to the rest of us and she reverted to her persiamon form shortly afterwards.

After that Phoebe returned to try to assist Henry who was fighting for his life. The unimon finally defeated, and options running out, Kiera and Selenia swarmed him with the remaining mechanorimon. This bought Henry some more time, but it wasn't long before Phoebe had to rescue them as well. With the mechanorimon defeated and the rest of our team in shambles. Phoebe took Henry's hand and teleported him to safety, away from the rest of us.

"Stop running you cowards!" Indramon said as he searched around for another target, but was unable to find one, so he decided to fire another attack towards Saphy for good measure, even though he couldn't see her. Since nobody could see her and Phoebe couldn't find her to rescue her, it wasn't known at the time whether this attack did anything at all but strip more leaves off the trees.

Anyway, with no targets in sight Indramon decided to go for our vehicles. At that point Kitty had recovered some strength and so Phoebe teleported her up above him to attack him from the sky, She sunk her claws deep into his back, causing him considerable pain as he tried to shake her off with little success.

"You remember me you stupid dummymon?" Kitty asked.

"No, I don't, other than you're one of those horrid chosen digimon that really needs to die." Indramon replied.

At that moment IceLeomon seized the opportunity to run up and punch him, dealing another fair amount of damage.

"112 years ago." Kitty said.

"I wasn't even alive 112 years ago." Indramon said.

"Um, I mean twelve years ago." Kitty corrected herself. "There was an armadillomon, a floramon, 2 palmons, and 3 salamon and 2 mikemon, one of which was me."

"Do you know how many of those I've destroyed over the years? You can't possibly expect me to remember that."

"Even so, your centaurumon killed them, and now you're going to pay the price." Kitty said as she pushed her claws in deeper with her left arm and repeated stabbed him with her right.

"This is for Mickey, and Jolliver, and long tall Sally, and Flowa, and TreeFlower, and green Susie, and Sammy, and Houston." She said the names of her long dead friends after each stab. I was too far away to hear her, but Phoebe heard her quite clearly.

He winced in pain as Phoebe bombarded him with shurikens, Kitty focused on holding on, while Indramon went into a blind rage and fired his horn at Phoebe multiple times in vain, while trying to shake Kitty off of his back, but as usual he was just a bit too slow, this went on until Phoebe started to feel tired so she teleported out of the fight before she became slow enough to hit. Indramon looked around for her for a few moments, prompting IceLeomon to punch him again, while Kitty was still stuck to his back. Without Phoebe to distract him anymore, however, Indramon was able to seize IceLeomon and quickly throw him to the side once again. Then he fell on his back in an attempt to squish Kitty who barely managed to escape. And then it looked like our vehicles were done for as Indramon readied his magical horn shell thingy to obliterate them, but then Saphy emerged from the trees behind him, and shot a jet of water at him, prompting him to turn around. Then she went for his balls, causing him to scream in an indescribably horrific manner as he fell to his knees clutching his crotch in pain. Kitty seized the opportunity to pounce on hi and sink her claws into his chest before making her way up to his throat. It wasn't pretty but as much as she hated him, it was never going to be.

"How dare you?" He said.

"This is for my friends, you evil, evil digimon." Kitty said as she tore into him.

Indramon yelled in pain before she cut into his vocal chords causing him to lose the ability to speak, he exploded into a huge cloud of data soon after. The babes let Iceleomon have it since he still didn't have enough to digivolve.

In retrospect Indramon had more of a tank-like build, being somewhat slow moving, but very durable and strong especially up close, with the horn of desolation acting like a gigantic and somewhat destructive air cannon with a decent range and coverage, though most of the damage came from landing or crashing into surrounding objects after being literally blown away. Like many digimon weapons it possesses an anomalous property, which is that it expels whatever air is blown into it at a force and mass several times what it is given, like a jet engine without any moving parts or requirement for fuel aside from the air that's blown into it. It's important to note that he was a fair distance away with the initial shot, point blank it should have been more than capable of flipping the bus over, shattering the windows, and probably flinging people and lesser digimon hard enough into trees and other things to kill them outright. If the sudden acceleration wasn't enough. Like a shotgun though the force spreads out over a distance, until it dissipates into nothing, giving it only moderate range. Aside from that, the horn is also coated in a hard, gold-colored metal which makes it heavy and good at crushing things. Like the rest of his army he could run pretty fast in open spaces, but in the forest his speed was more limited, and his fighting style relies way more on brute strength than speed.

We won, but everyone was thrashed pretty bad. All the mechanorimon were data clouds, Henry's leg was broken, Zari broke her arm. Illustria and the other newbies were pretty banged up in general, Henry, Zari, and Illustria had it the worst. I wasn't really hurt that bad, but I didn't know where the heck my gun went. My back hurt, but I was lucky enough not to break anything. Henry and Zari weren't as lucky. Every else was about the same as me, slightly banged up, a few bruises, a few sore joints, annoying, but not crippling.

"I did it, I killed that stupid fucker." Kitty proudly and shamelessly announced as she ran over to me.

"Yep, you got him good Kitty Kat." I replied.

She excitedly wrapped her arms around me tight and pulled me into a kiss.

"Ok you know you're hurting me and you're covered in blood right?" I asked, a bit grossed out.

"Ehem." Phoebe said, looking somewhat jealous.

"You helped? I guess, although you almost hit me with your spinny thingies. " Kitty said, awkwardly as Phoebe stared at her, until she realize what she did.

"Sorry, sorry." She said as she let go of me and gently pushed me away. Now my shirt had multiple blood stains.

" Awwe, come here baby girl you get a kiss too." I said as I pulled her close and kissed her cheek several times before she passionately kissed me back with a smile, I took her hands and looked her in the eyes. "Now we're going to get back on the bus and we're going to get back to what we were doing before all this happened and."

"Yeah, after we get everyone healed up Cj." Phoebe said as she wrestled free and started to pull several white digiroots out of her digivice.

"Oh, right." I said.

"I'm sorry I kissed him sister." Kitty said.

"It's ok sister, I'm just, not used to it, but I get that you're excited so I'll let it slide." Phoebe replied.

"Can I get some digiroot for my arm please, I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to bend like this." Zari said, in considerable pain.

"Yeah I'm pretty sure it's not. Ew." Phoebe said.

"Yeah if you're done smooching, I'd, I'd like to be able to walk again." Henry struggled to say.

" Please hurry everything hurts." Illustria said.

"We'll get you guys healed up, don't worry." Phoebe said.

"Right, Saphy come on I need your help with this digiroot potion stuff." Phoebe said.

"Right." Saphy agreed before reverting to her Ranamon form.

"I could use some too." Kitty said.

"I think we all could." I replied.

We set to work getting everyone healed up, including ourselves. Then we started to distribute sleeping bags and we all kind of set up camp again. It was going to be a long night.

Phoebe had Cloudela refreeze Chalana's icepacks again so she could make it through the night. Kitty took a much needed shower, then I layed her down on the bed and we started to make out. She was still too tired to digivolve so she actually had to shower like a normal person.

"Cj you have no idea how good I feel right now." Kitty said after a round of kissing on the bed. I was still dressed, but she was already naked from the shower.

"I have a feeling you're about to show me." I replied as Phoebe walked onto the bus.

"Ok before we get started I just have to ask." She said.

"Oh, you're already naked. That was fast Cj." Phoebe said when she realized.

"Well she took a shower to clean the blood off, so." I said.

"And you just went straight to making out with her?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, I figured you would come in eventually whenever you were done outside." I said. "Don't get upset you've done the same to me and that was before we had, whatever this is."

"Yeah, ok." She replied with a sigh.

"What did you want to ask?" Kitty asked.

"Your friends, they had names? Aside from just what kind of digimon they were." Phoebe asked.

"Yeah." Kitty replied.

"So you had a name too then?" Phoebe asked.

"Mhm." Kitty said.

"Those are baby names though, since a lot of rookie and in-training digimon look alike, our caretaker each gave us names, but once you become an ultimate there's so few others around there's no real reason to have one anymore."

"But what was your name then?" I asked.

"It doesn't matter anymore its Kitty Kat now." She said.

"I guess she doesn't remember it." Phoebe said.

"Well nobody has called me it for over 12 years, I mean 112 years." Kitty replied.

"Well do you remember or not?" I asked.

"Why don't we have some fun, and maybe I'll tell you before we sleep tonight." She said.

"I don't know Pheebles do you think it's a fair deal?" I asked.

"I think it's more than fair." Phoebe said as she approached us. "Should we just continue on from where we were earlier?" She said as she slipped out of her shoes and panties.

"He needs to get hard first." Kitty said.

"Yeah well I can help you with that sister." Phoebe replied. "Cj get off of her and lay down."

"I'm the luckiest man in the world." I said with a sigh.

"Yes you are don't forget it." Phoebe replied as I slid out of my pants.

"Also I didn't get hurt too bad this time." I said.

"I know, keep it up." Phoebe replied.

"Or is that 785?" I asked.

"Well go on, get dressed, and get out." Phoebe said.

"I didn't even know for sure if you were still alive Pheebles." I said after a long period of silence. "Or would you prefer I not even try to look for you?"

"Well, I am glad she was there for you, but I don't owe her anything, I already let her sleep with you who even knows how many times in addition to how many times you slept with her in 20 years." Phoebe said.

"That's 73000 times Cj." She said a few seconds later.

"365 days in a year, 10 times a day for twenty years" She explained.

"Yeah, guess so." I replied.

"Maybe we'll have some more fun in the morning, just you and I." I said.

"Yeah, even though that's the way it should be, I still love Kitty, and I'm still in debt to both of you so." I said.

"It's kind of all screwed up." Phoebe said.

"Yeah it is, I guess that just happens in 80 years." I said.
