65. crimsonseadramon

-Chapter 65, CrimsonSeadramon-

Eventually after heading roughly to the north for about 2 and a half days, we made it to the river, where we refilled our vehicles, then with the day being half done we decided to wait to split up tomorrow, so we all headed to the west for a few more hours, until we came across the somewhat impressive city and its large stone bridges over the river, which we were thankfully able to drive across. The city still had most of its residents, which was nice to see, though some had fled after hearing that Indramon was approaching from the south, we were even able to find a hotel to stay at on the other side of the river, so everyone got a rare taste of luxury, though Phoebe and I decided to sleep on the bus one more night as we would be taking Henry's Camaro south tomorrow.

As usual we snuggled together and planned on getting some sleep before making love in the morning, but we were only in bed for about an hour or two before we were jolted awake from the sound of broken glass.

"Did you hear that?" I asked.

"Yeah go look." She said.

"What if I get hurt?" I asked.

"Just go look, you'll be fine." Phoebe said as she gently kicked my legs.

"Why don't you?" I asked.

"Because I'm tired." She said.

"So am I." I replied.

"Go!" She said a bit more sternly as she kicked me again.

"Ok fine, grumpy." I replied before getting up and looking out the window.

You could imagine my surprise when I was greeted with the bizarre sight of hundreds of large white squids and pot wearing, pistol packing red octopi walking around on land via their tentacles.

"Pheebles get dressed, somebody is attacking this place." I said as started to get dressed myself.

"Awwwe." Phoebe replied.

"We need to get the others at the hotel, and fast." I said.

"Right." She replied.

They hadn't noticed us yet as they were pre-occupied with attacking the residents and various buildings, as well as the mechanorimon who started to fight them on their own.

I made my way inside the hotel while Phoebe got her shurikens out to cover me.

Octomon were a huge pain in the butt, with their sword making them dangerous to fight up close, and their ink gun having pretty decent range and speed. The ink is mildly corrosive and causes light burning on contact (no more severe than a sunburn) and is also very messy, though not lethal unless you drink it. The gun fires it in globs about as fast as one could throw a dodge ball, fast enough to be annoying, but it's the burning that will hurt you, not the impact. It can fire at about probably around 80-90 rpm, slightly faster than one shot per second, and does not seem to ever need to reload, recoil seems to be equivalent to that of a typical handgun. Projectiles do not seem to be effected by gravity, but disperse after traveling a certain distance, of about 100ft. In addition to this the pot they wear on their head defies the laws of physics by being very resistant to bullets which makes them hard but not impossible to kill with guns like the obelisk, surprisingly resistant and versatile for a champion level. Thankfully the ink disappears when they're destroyed, but not any burns caused by it. It also seems to have to completely soak through your clothes before it starts burning you underneath them, so wearing a coat and other protective clothing while fighting them isn't a terrible idea.

Gesomon is a lot more vulnerable, but still a very capable melee fighter and can spit massive globs of ink with enough force to feel like you just got hit with a book. This ink also somehow completely screws up your vision for a few seconds if it so much as touches you. It makes everything look like you were looking through privacy glass like what would be on a shower door, and is not fun when you are trying to fight for your life. Bizarrely it doesn't have to be anywhere near your eyes to affect you, it just has to touch you. It can affect you even if it's splattered all over the ground and you step in it with shoes on. Meaning it also acts as an area hazard. The blindness affect comes and goes every few seconds as long as the ink touches you, and if the Gesomon is destroyed the ink also disappears, it also disappears on it's own after about 20 seconds or so. That said, compared to octomon it's pretty squishy, it's not really a problem unless you try to fight it up close. On the short walk to the hotel, I took down 2 Gesomon and one octomon, while Phoebe took down 2 more octomon who were firing at us on the other side of the street and a Gesomon that was trying to cross the street to attack us. Once I made it to the hotel Phoebe stayed outside to guard the door while I took out the octomon that was harassing the clerk by shooting at it until enough bullets finally ended up going through the hole in the pot that they see out of, and then made my way upstairs were Saphy, Zari, Henry, and Claire were already out of their rooms.

"It has to be indramon" A random palmon said.

"Actually it's not, Indramon is dead." I replied before he ran down the stairs, I wasn't sure if he heard me or not.

"What's with the gunshots?" Zari asked.

"Go get the newbies the whole town is getting attacked." I said as I started to hand out weapons.

"Henry Claire, head outside and protect the vehicles." I said.

"Keep your distance and don't let their ink touch you." I said.

"Where's Phoebe?" Saphy asked.

"Outside guarding the door." I said. "Go help her if you want."

"Where the hell is Kitty?" I asked as Saphy went to assist her tamer, but knowing Kitty, I made my way to her room before anyone could answer, the door was locked, Pheebles was outside, so without my adorable little locksmith I was forced to pound on it.

"Kitty wake up we need you!" I yelled.

After ten seconds without a response, I shot the lock out of the door.

"What what's going on?" She asked, apparently having just woken up.

"The town is under attack, just stay with me." I said.

" Anything I can do?" Ninjamon asked as he came up behind me.

"Um, yeah go outside, help Henry and Claire." I said.

"Sure thing." He replied.

I went to go check on Zari and the newbies, taking Kitty with me.

"Come on get dressed we need to get moving." Zari said.

The newbies were not very happy about any of this, but eventually they got dressed and Kitty and I led them out of the hotel along with IceLeomon's wives while IceLeomon himself went outside to do what he did best.

"Ok we pretty much have everything locked down. It looks like Phoebe and Saphy have the door covered. Zari why don't you take Lussy, Selly, and Kiera out and see if you can rescue the civilians, maybe find a few champions or higher, and start pushing back.

"We're fighting this one out?" Zari asked.

"I don't see why we shouldn't there doesn't seem to be that many of them." I replied.

"Kitty, Chally, whatever you two's names are again, you're with me." I said.

"Elishen and Kaytori how do you keep forgetting?" Challana asked.

"Yeah Cj." Kitty replied.

"It's too hot to fight." One of them said.

"I'll take you to Pheebles, and we'll see if we can get Cloudela to help you three with that." I said.

We made it back to the lobby, which was pretty secure, and I waited for a break in the fighting to ask my beloved to see if I could borrow Cloudela, which she had no problems with. I used Cloudela's ice beam to keep Chally and the twins cold and comfortable and slowly but surely we began to quell the invasion of murderously marauding mollusks. Zari and the newbies rounded up a handful of aquamon, some weedmon, some geckomon and a kuwagamon, of all things, as the cities location attracted a very wide range of digimon.

Everything was going relatively smoothly, until the apparent lieutenants showed up, a marinedevimon and a dragomon, both looking incredibly hideous and threatening.

"I think I think we should head over to the other side now, I don't see any more of them to take out over here." Phoebe said, before Dragomon and Marinedevimon crawled out of the river channel and approached us.

"I'm going to make this clear, you might as well surrender, you don't want our boss to get involved." Marinedevimon said in a grating, high-pitched voice that sounded half-insane.

"You've already caused enough trouble that he sent us to deal with you personally. Your fate is sealed, humans." Dragomon said with a voice that amusingly sounded quite a bit like Hulk Hogan's, if he was gargling water.

" Kitty it's a good time to digivolve." I said.

"Right." Kitty replied before she started to glow.

"You too Saphy." Phoebe said.

Both the digibabes proceeded to digivolve to their respective mega forms.

"An Oceanamon, how interesting." Marinedevimon said with a sinister cackle. "I've been wanting to fight one for awhile now, it's a shame South Ocean City didn't have any."

"You attacked South Ocean City?" Saphy asked.

"Not a single stone nor digimon left standing, bosses orders." Marinedevimon replied.

"Where the hell is that?" I asked.

"It's where I came from." Saphy said.

"Oh." I replied.

"It's all in the past now." Marinedevimon said with a sinister grin.

"Arceus they're so ugly." Phoebe said. "And you with that voice you're going to give me a headache just by talking."

"You said it Pheebles." I agreed.

"Keep talking human you're only going to make your death more painful." Marinedevimon said.

"For the last time I am not a human!" Phoebe replied.

"Kitty make sure Cj doesn't get himself hurt. Saphy let's kill this guy." Phoebe said.

"My pleasure." Saphy replied.

"Oh now she's worried about me getting hurt." I said.

"it's because she loves you." Kitty said.

"Well, she apparently didn't love me this morning." I said.

"What?" Kitty asked.

"Never mind let's just cream this guy." I said.

"Right." Kitty said as she charged at him, brandishing the nazar nail.

Dragomon quickly seized her arms and legs, threatening to pull her apart.

"Well that was stupid." I said.

"Can I get some help here? Please?" She asked.

"You can't shoot me without hitting her." Dragomon said.

"Yeah, but, I got a sword too." I said as I hastily exchanged the obelisk for Musyamon's sword.

"What are you trying to break me in half?" Kitty asked.

"That's the idea."

"You remind me of this boyfriend I had once, except he wasn't so ugly." Kitty said.

"Heh?" Dragomon said, confused.

"Is that the one that cheated on you and then died in the process?" I asked as I came at him with the sword.

"Yeaaah." She said.

He responded by throwing her at me, causing us both to crash to the ground.

"What gives? Any other digimon would've been delicious data by now." Dragomon asked confused.

"Kitty I told you not to let him get hurt!" Phoebe yelled while battling marine devimon.

"I am fine Pheebles." I replied.

"Um, Cj, you're squeezing my boobs." Kitty said.

"Oh, sorry." I replied. It was an honest mistake.

She got up, then helped me up.

"Before you charge at him again we need to think this out a bit more." I said.

"Like how?" She asked as Dragomon drew a trident from seemingly out of nowhere which he then charged at us with, splitting us up as I was forced to use the sword to defend myself for a moment. Both weapons clanged together loudly and as strong as he was I would've been screwed if it wasn't for the sword's reflex boosting ability.

"If I kill your human, maybe you won't be as strong." He said.

"I'm not really sure if that's how it works." I said.

"If he kills you her data is vulnerable. He can absorb it." Saphy said, under pressure, from somewhere behind me, while Phoebe was preoccupied with fighting marinedevimon and Kitty was preparing to attack dragomon from behind while I tried to keep him from running me through with his trident. Something that was easier said than done. Thankfully I only had to defend myself for a few seconds before Kitty went on the offensive again and forced him to turn away, the nazar nail could do a hell of a lot more damage after all. A truly wicked thing, exactly what you would expect a digimon species more commonly known as one of the demon lords to wield. He grabbed her and threw her aside, apparently intent on killing me.

"Darkness love." Kitty said.

I saw her eyes glow red for a moment, but there was no way it would ever work on a digimon this strong, sure enough Dragomon simply glanced at her for a second before continuing his attack, not even enough time for me to get an attack in.

"Kitty come on I can't keep this up forever." I said.

"Um, phantom pain." She said which caused her eyes to glow again.

It didn't seem to do anything at first, but Dragomon eventually started to slow down to the point where I started to gain an advantage.

"What sort of attack is this?" He said. "Everything hurts."

"She's a Lilithmon , you have to get her to lose eye contact somehow." Marinedevimon butted in while trying to fend off Phoebe's shurikens.

I started to gain the advantage, I cut into him several times and severed a few of his tentacles, which were a lot tougher then their flexibility would suggest, and it was far from lethal. He turned and quickly threw his trident at Kitty, who had to break eye contact to avoid being impaled by it, freeing him from her attack, if she was a bit more intelligent perhaps, it nailed her right in the stomach, which would've been lethal if she wasn't a digimon. The trident then disappeared only to reappear in his "hand" once again as she fell to her knees in pain, ending her attack.

"Give up already, you can't win." He said.

"Never." I replied.

"This hurts, it really hurts." Kitty said.

"Why didn't you try to avoid it?" I asked.

"Because you needed me." She said.

Phoebe glanced over for a moment, but had to get back in her own fight with marinedevimon.

"Give up yet?" Dragomon asked.

"Nah, she'll be fine, I still got all my limbs." I replied. "Besides, you gotta pay for that."

"Phantom." Kitty struggled to say.

"No!" Dragomon interrupted as he threw his trident again, of course that left him exposed and I cut him up even more for it, but he was still standing. Apparently whatever that attack did it was worse than what I was doing. After that I got in front of Kitty so he couldn't do it again.

"Make it stop." Kitty said, completely wracked in pain.

" I'm trying babe just hold on." I said.

It was like trying to cut down a tree, there were bits of him all over the place but he was still standing and what was worse is that he tried to grab the sword every time. Then all of a sudden he jumped about ten feet in the air and I instinctively dodged knowing the trident was coming for me, then I used the shogun sword attack, which I couldn't use at point blank because it tends to flash burn at point blank. This set him on fire.

"Kitty, babe you ok?" I asked while watching him burn for a moment.

"I'll make it, I'm not sure how long I can keep this form though." She said.

"Digivice says you're at 65% and bleeding, fuck." I said as I saw her health on the digivice.

"THIS ISN'T OVER YET!" Dragomon said.

As an aquatic digimon, he obviously didn't burn very well, it did however, weaken the chains on his limbs which he decided to take advantage off by breaking out of them, losing his humanoid form and turning into something like a mop wearing a Halloween mask. The fire went out shortly after, revealing him to be relatively unscathed.

"Well, I've never fought a living mop before." I said.

"Gaze upon my true form and tremble human, very few have seen it and lived." He said.

"Did they die of laughter?" I asked.

"Thousand tentacles." He said before numerous tentacles erupted from what was now his underside. I cut a few of them off but eventually, even with the sword supernaturally boosting my dexterity, I found myself ensnared.

"Now you die human." He said before IceLeomon jumped up into the air and punched him square in the back, the shock of which caused him to release me.

"Fuck thanks man." I said as I got back up and retrieved the sword.

"Finally a real opponent." He said.

"Heh you haven't even digivolved to the mega level." Dragomon said.

"I don't need to." IceLeomon replied.

"Don't get cocky, he's insanely strong." I replied.

"Cj." Kitty moaned as she limped over and leaned on my shoulder for support.

"Good, you got up." I said.

"everything hurts." She replied.

"Just hang in there babe will get this over with real quick." I said as I looked over to see how Phoebe was doing. They were moving so fast I couldn't really tell what was going on. They were having a better time of it than we were though.

"You're still holding your form though." I said.

"Barely." She replied as Dragomon attempted to seize IceLeomon, but due to his damaged condition, with many of his tentacles being badly damaged or even cut completely short, and every other part of his body sore thanks to Kitty, as well as IceLeomon's sheer physical strength, he was having a difficult time of it. Though it was difficult for IceLeomon to get an effective attack in. It was clear that we had weakened him, at least. He had a habit of spinning around and trying to slap things with his many tentacles as a form of attack. If he wasn't trying to kill us it'd be comical.

"Why don't you just sit down for a moment?" I said. "IceLeomon can slip up any moment and I have to have his back if he does." I said.

"I need a gun." She said. "I'm too weak to use my attacks."

"Allright, give me a moment babe." I said as I looked through the menu on the digivice, Deputymon's revolver and the obelisk were all I had left at the moment after lending all the others out. So I handed it to her, she exchanged it for the Nazzar nail. Then I pulled out the obelisk for myself and we prepared to blow this fucker away as soon as IceLeomon gave us the oppourtunity.

"Careful where you're shooting babe we don't hit IceLeomon we don't want a repeat of the Smifithison incident." I said.

"I know." She replied.

"No you don't, you have no fucking idea how hard that was to cover up. How close they were to throwing the book at you." I said.

"Do we really need to talk about this now?" Kitty asked.

"Fuck you're right." I agreed.

"We can talk about it later after sex." She said.

"I don't think Pheebles would appreciate that." I replied. I wasn't entirely sure if Phoebe heard her or not, there might have been too much going on at that moment for her to notice.

I saw an opening so I took it and fired several rounds at dragomon but he blocked most of them by sacrificing a few of his numerous tentacles. Kitty fired a couple times as well, with similar results, but it gave IceLeomon a window to punch him straight in the face, this lifted him a few feet into the air where he fell onto his back, hundreds of tentacles flopping everywhere. He layed there completely motionless as IceLeomon cautiously approached him. He couldn't be dead yet, as he hadn't burst into data, could that have knocked him unconscious though? No, it was just a trap to ensnare IceLeomon, a trap he fell for hook line and sinker as Dragomon suddenly lifted his head and wrapped him up in an innumerable number of tentacles, trying to squeeze the life out of him. He stood up, somehow and turned towards us holding him in a helpless, hostage-like position.

"I can't get free." IceLeomon struggled to say.

Kitty was in a lot of pain, aside from the readout on the digivice which had now fallen to 59% just from bleeding, I could tell by her breathing. I didn't want to look away to see how Phoebe and Saphy were doing against the other guy for fear of being caught off guard. They were both strong, so they were probably fine.

"Let him go!" Kitty demanded.

"Never!" Dragomon said. "I'm going to crush him and consume his data."

"NO!" Kitty said.

"Yes." Dragomon replied.

"NO!" Kitty said.

"Yes." Dragomon replied.

"NO!" Kitty said.

"Yes." Dragomon replied.

"NO!" Kitty said.

"Yes?" Dragomon replied, looking somewhat confused.

"NO!" Kitty said.

"Ok that's enough of that." I interjected.

IceLeomon smacked him with the back of his head, stomped on several of his tentacles and just managed to wring himself free, after which he promptly landed another punch squarely on his face. Sending him a few feet away where he landed on his back again, though this time he got right back up without trying to deceive anyone figuring there was no way it would work again.

With them clearly separated, I took the opportunity to open fire on Dragomon and Kitty followed suit, shooting him another three times before the revolver " Ran out" of ammo, in reality you just needed to pop the drum out, dump the expended shells out, wait for fresh ones to spontaneously reappear, and then pop the drum back in for it to reload. But Kitty didn't know this and kept pulling the trigger anyway.

"Cj I think it's broken." She said.

"Kitty you have to reload you're not even shooting him right now." I said.

"How?" She asked.

"I'll explain later there's no time." I said as I had to stop to reload myself, which required me to pull the magazine all the way out, wait for bullets to spontaneously appear in the magazine, then slide it back in and pull the hammer back.

Though he was keeping them away from his vitals for the time being, the bullets were slowly chipping away at him. It also provoked him into coming for us again, he was easily able to move despite being hit almost constantly. It almost seemed like he was regrowing new tentacles, surely he would have run out by now. There were bits and pieces of tentacle all over the ground. We started to back away from him as he came closer. Though I eventually had to reload once again, which gave him a window to close the distance, IceLeomon used the window to enter the fight once again. Holding him back so I could reload. While Kitty attempted to figure out how to do so herself.

"How do I reload?" She asked.

"Pop the cylinder out." I said.

"What's a cylinder?" She asked.

"The spinny thing." I replied.

"Oh." She said as she tried to push it out of the frame of the gun.

"It won't pop out." She said.

"You have to push the button." I replied.

"Oh there's a button." She said.

"Mhm." I replied as I waited for IceLeomon to give me another opportunity to fire.

"I got it." She said.

"Ok now dump the empty shells out, and then wait a second or so and new ones should appear in their place, then just pop it back in and it should be good to go." I said as she did so.

Now don't start shooting at him again IceLeomon is fighting him now." I said.

"Ok." She said.

"Just follow my lead." I said.

"You're still fighting this guy?" Phoebe said as she teleported in behind me.

"No we're just standing here for no reason." I replied. "You kill the other guy?"

"Saphy wanted to deal with him herself." Phoebe said.

"Well maybe you should keep an eye on her in case she needs help?" I asked.

"I'll check on her in a moment, I just want to check on you first. Because I wuv you." She cutely replied.

"Love you too Pheebles. I'd kiss you but, we're kind of in the middle of a thing right now." I replied.

"I understand." She replied. "You can kiss me later. Kitty I just want you to know you're doing a great job today."

"Um thanks." Kitty replied.

"Are you going to be okay though? You look hurt." Phoebe said.

"I just … need some rest after this." Kitty replied.

"You're bleeding, everywhere." Phoebe said.

"It works differently, for digimon." She said.

"Yeah no kidding, look at how many bits of tentacle we cut and shot off this guy." I said.

"Yeah you made quite a mess. And it smells bad." She said.

"Yeah it does." I replied. "Or does that guy just smell bad?"

"I don't mind it actually." Kitty replied.

"So Pheebles are you going to help or are you just going to watch?" I asked.

"I'm going to give you a hug and then I'm going to go check on Saphy and then we'll see." She said before hugging me.

"Don't get hurt." She said before teleporting away seconds later.

Not much longer after she left IceLeomon knocked him onto his back once again, and I took the opportunity to open fire, with Kitty following a bit later. He took some heavy damage, but still managed to get up, but just barely. Iceleomon punched him again right on the top of his head and he collapsed almost immediately, purplish blood leaked out his body from wounds as countless as his tentacles once were.

"This can't be happening." He said as he struggled to get back up.

"Please be done please be done please be done." I said.

IceLeomon looked over at us for a moment, then turned back towards the dying squid monster.

"So . . . . much . . . pain." He struggled to say as IceLeomon approached him.

"You put up a good fight, but it's the end." He said as he prepared yet another punch.

"In the name of Ophanimon, I grant thee mercy." He said before he punched him again causing him to burst into data shortly afterwards, data we let him absorb.

"We won." Kitty said.

"That was just a lieutenant though." I said.

"Lieutenant to who?" She asked.

"No idea." I replied

"I missed fighting like this." IceLeomon said.

"Yeah, it seems great until you get bored of it." I said.

"Hehehe, me, bored of fighting? Never!" He replied.

"Now what do we do?" Kitty asked.

"Phoebe said she was going to come back here didn't she, let's just wait for her.?"

Phoebe came back about a minute later along with Saphy, looking very concerned.

"Oh good he's dead now, we need to get away from the river, now." She said.

"What's going on baby girl?" I asked.

"Don't ask questions just run." Saphy said.

"Just take my hand, I'll go get the others." Phoebe said.

"Ok." I replied.

I took her hand and she teleported the five of us to the bus.

"Get the bus out of the city, I'll get the others I'll see you later. Just head straight north to edge of the forest I'll find you." Phoebe said before kissing me and teleporting away again on her own.

"The hell is all this about?" I asked as we all got on the bus.

"It's Crimsonseadramon." Saphy said.

"What?" I asked. "Isn't seadramon just a champion?"

"Not that seadramon, Crimsonseadramon." Saphy replied.

"Wouldn't that just be a champion to?" I asked.

"No Crimsonseadramon is a mega." Saphy replied.

"So we've fought lots of mega level dark kings before." I said.

"Not ones like this."

"It's just a seadramon how bad can it be?"

"Let's get to safety then you'll see." Saphy said. "We don't have much time before he arrives to check on things."

As odd as it was I felt inclined to take them both seriously, it wasn't like either of them to underestimate the enemy. And for Saphy to look this worried, it was pretty out of character for her. It wasn't like her to lie, and it wasn't like Phoebe to lie about stuff like this, in particular anyway.

"Where do you think you're going?" Henry asked, as he and Claire were standing nearby, to protect the vehicles.

"Get on, Phoebe said we need to get out of the city." I said.

"I'll just take my car and follow you instead." Henry replied.

"Good enough let's go." I said.

"I'm coming too!" Ninjamon said.

"Right, get on the bus then." I replied.

"Where are my wives?" IceLeomon asked.

"I think they're still in the hotel with Chally." I replied. "They'll be fine, Phoebe won't forget about them."

"She better not." IceLeomon said.

"What happened to the other bad guy?" Kitty asked as I started the bus and began to head down the street before finding a way to keep going north.

"He's done, I got his data cloud right here for IceLeomon." Saphy said.

"How'd it go?" I asked.

"Once I tricked him into fighting me in the river it was easy. This new form is amazing, I didn't even need Phoebe's help." Saphy said.

"Oh that's where you and Phoebe went?" I asked.

"Well I went in the river, she just kind of watched from the shore." Saphy replied.

"I see. Two went in, one came out." I replied.

"Mhm, exactly, but now Crimsonseadramon is coming and we have to get out of town, away from the water." Saphy replied.

"Why don't you help Kitty with her wounds, I should have some white digiroot in here." I said as I tossed my digivice to her.

"Ok sure." She agreed.

"I was hoping you would help me." Kitty said.

"I have to drive, I doubt Phoebe would appreciate it, and this battle isn't over yet apparently." I said.

"Just hang on, I'll get you healed up." Saphy said.

We waited at the edge of the forest for Phoebe to return. The newbies joined us with the mechanorimon, and Phoebe came back with Zari and the others along with several volunteering champions. Everyone got out and gathered around. At this point, Kitty was nearly back to normal.

"I didn't know humans could teleport around." A digimon that looked like a child version of ranamon said, the digivice later confirmed it to be an aquamon.

"I'm not a human I'm a gardevoir." Phoebe replied, but it was no use.

" I didn't know ranamon had a rookie form." I said.

"Champion." Saphy corrected me.

"Oh it's one of those deals."

"Mhm." Saphy replied.

"They good at fighting?" I asked.

"They were a big help taking out those giant squid guys, so I'd say so." Zari said.

"Awwe, I was hoping there would be other cute ranamon in this town." Ninjamon said.

"And why is that?" Saphy asked.

"You know, because they're cute and all. Don't take it the wrong way." Ninjamon said.

"Ehhhh whatever." Saphy replied.

"So what do we do now baby girl?" I asked.

"We wait for him to show up." Phoebe said.

"So is he going to come all the way out here or?" I started to ask.

"I don't know just wait and see." Phoebe replied.

"I trust both of you girls, but I don't see why we had to come all the way out here." I said.

"Trust me you'll see when he gets here." Saphy said.

Eventually Crimsonseadramon showed up. The huge digimon rose up from the river and quickly took out the bridge to the other side before setting several riverside buildings on fire. He was pissed, he hadn't had to do much until now.

"See." Saphy said.

"What…. The …fuck…?" I asked.

"Allright humans, you may have taken out my army, but that's perfectly fine, I'm more than capable of leveling this city on my own." He said, assuming we were still in the city somewhere, though his voice was loud enough we could all still here him clearly all the way out here.

"The fuck is that thing?" I asked as I looked up at its massive form.

"It has to be a dark king." Kitty said.

"It's huge!" I replied.

"That's the largest living thing I've ever seen." Challana said.

"That's a digimon?" Henry asked.

"How are we even supposed to fight that thing?" Kitty asked.

"Just gotta get up there and poke it in the eye somehow." I said.

"I need to get up there and poke it in the eye somehow." Phoebe said.

"Yeah I just said that. Maybe you could take Kitty?" I asked.

"Maybe." She replied as the serpent started to level buildings by merely smashing its head into them.

I kissed them both on the cheek.

"You should get going before it can cause much more destruction, go make me proud girls."

They both kissed me on the cheek.

"We will." The said as Phoebe took Kitty's hand and prepared to teleport away.

"Wait a second do you really think that's going to work?" Henry asked, surprisingly before Phoebe could teleport.

"Yeah, considering how tough these guys usually are." Claire agreed.

"Got any better ideas?" I asked. "At that size, if we get too close he could just smash us and then it's over."

"Mhm." Phoebe agreed as Crimsonseadramon seemingly destroyed several buildings looking for us. Through the resulting dust clouds, it was kind of sad to see such a neat little town layed to waste like that reduced to nothing but piles of bricks, broken boards, and shards of glass, apparently just for the hell of it.

"And we can't just run away either, it's clearly a dark king." I said.

"He is." Saphy reassured us. "Even if he's not he has to be stopped."

"Mhm." Phoebe agreed.

"I'm with you on this one baby girl." I replied.

"Good." She said.

"We could try to fight him in the air with the mechanorimon." Illustria said.

"It's a long fall if you get hit." I replied. "And you should know by now the mechanorimon don't exactly have a lot of interior padding."

"You probably wouldn't survive and I'd be too busy fighting him to be able to rescue you." Phoebe added.

"Hey Cj remember that giant groudon we had to fight?" Phoebe asked.'

"Um, yeah, but that was different, he was weak to water." I said.

"What's a groudon?" Henry asked.

"A giant lizard that temporarily turned a good chunk of the Midwest into a brutal desert. " I said.

"Isn't it usually like that?" Henry asked.

"No I mean like, Death Valley hot, not just barren and devoid of life, it's normally relatively cool." I said.

"Oh." Henry replied.

"It was hacked, so it was huge." I said. "But that has nothing on this." I said.

"Well it's not chasing us." Phoebe replied.

"Because it doesn't know where we are yet." I said.

"We got company." Zari said as I turned and saw several Octomon and Gesomon squirming over the horizon.

"Well that didn't take long. We have to take them out quietly we can't risk getting his attention. " I replied.

"Go hide in the forest I'll take them down." Phoebe said.

"I got your back baby girl." I said.

"No Cj, go hide." She insisted.

"No I got you." I replied.

"Don't make me teleport you." She replied as she got her shurikens out to prepare her attack while the others headed deeper into the forest.

"You sure you got this?" I asked.

"Yeah, there's not that many of them, quit worrying about me and hide. Go make sure Kitty is ok she's a little bit hurt isn't she?" She replied.

"A little bit but she'll be fine, she can walk." I said.

"Just go!" She replied with a bit of urgency.

She wouldn't let it go so I went and headed deeper into the forest until I caught up with the rest of the group. There weren't that many of them, but having to take them out in a manner that wouldn't give our position away to the towering beast that was Crimsonseadramon made it a bit more challenging. Phoebe threw her shurikens into the air and then teleported a fair distance away, but close enough that she could take control of them again using a combination of her powers as well as the weapon's anomalous properties which gave them a boomerang like quality, she made it impossible to tell what direction her attack was coming from, which caused him a great deal of confusion when he noticed his soldiers were mysteriously turning into data, he couldn't see Phoebe's shurikens from so far away, which made it look even more confusing. He slithered out of the water and went to investigate, flattening a large portion of the town in the process. By the time he made it to the edge of the forest, Phoebe already packed up her shurikens and teleported somewhere else out of sight, looking to meet up with the rest of us. Crimsonseadramon went into a rage and flattened several trees looking for us, but was unsuccessful, and after a while he decided to head back towards the river.

"When he moves his head is closer to the ground. Do you think we could take advantage of that?" I asked as we watched him slither away.

"It's too dangerous he could wiggle around and smash us all." Phoebe replied.

"Death by giant wiggly snake monster. "I said.

"Hehe." She agreed with a giggle. "But seriously his movements are way too unpredictable Cj."

"Yeah I know." I replied.

"Maybe we'll just have to leave it up to you and Kitty like we originally planned." I said.

"I guess so." Phoebe replied. "Kitty Kat come here."

"What?" Kitty asked.

"We're going to go up there and attack his face before he can destroy the rest of the town are you ready?" Phoebe asked.

"Ok." She replied.

"Saphy keep Cj from getting hurt while I'm gone." Phoebe said.

"Right." Saphy agreed.

"There are literally no enemies around to fight." I said.

"I know you, you'll find a way." Phoebe teased.

"Pheebles." I said.

"Don't worry we'll keep him safe." Henry said.

"Fuck off." I replied.

"See what you started?" I asked.

Kitty kissed me on the cheek.

"There will be more later." She said.

"Yeah no." Phoebe replied. "My husband not yours."

"We'll talk about this later come on we need to stop him he's almost back to the town." Kitty said.

"-sighs-, fine. " Phoebe said.

"If it doesn't work or if anything goes wrong you two get your butts back over here." I said.

"We will." Phoebe said.

"Allright, go then try to save what's left of that poor town." I said.

And with that she grabbed Kitty and teleported away.

"Do you really think they'll be able to take him out by themselves?" Henry asked.

Well it's either them or Saphy and Iceleomon." I said. 'The rest of us can't even get near him, at that size he'd easily be able to squash us and there's not much we could do about it.

"I don't think his tail left the water the whole time he was over here." Zari said.

"Let's just hope that huge size is compensating for a relatively weak body." I said.

"It flattened half the town, I don't think it's that weak." Henry said.

"Yeah, but there has to be a compromise somewhere, I mean why would this Dark King be so much stronger than the others?" I asked.

"Maybe we should lure him out of the water. Maybe he'll drown like a fish if he's out for too long?" Henry suggested.

"That's not the worst idea, but how do we keep him from going back in?" Zari asked.

"But his head has been out of the water this whole time." Claire pointed out.

"Maybe it's like another digimon logic thing, like he can breathe as long as he touches the water, but the moment he's out it he starts to suffocate." J said.

"The squid guys had no problem on land though." Zari pointed out.

"There's got to be a weakness somewhere." I said.

Everyone watched carefully as Phoebe moved in to attack, taking Kitty along with her. It was hard to see either of them from this distance, but we could see Crimsonseadramon reacting to their attacks quite clearly moving to dodge and firing weird lasers from his mouth to retaliate. Phoebe dropped Kitty over his head, she clawed into him as much as she could on the way down, causing him to flail around wildly while Phoebe attacked him with a swarm of shurikens, while trying to avoid getting smacked by his flailing body.

"Um, is that the mechanorimon?" Zari said.

"Yeah what the hell what are they doing?" I asked as five out of six of them took off and flew towards the remains of the town. The sixth one approached us from behind.

"THE ONE KNOWN AS ILLUSTRIA TOLD ME TO TELL YOU THAT SHE'S TAKING THE OTHER MECHANORIMON UNITS INTO BATTLE WITH THE ENEMY." The sixth one said.

"And I take it Selenia and Kiera went with her?" I asked.

"AFFIRMATIVE." The mechanorimon replied.

"Idiots." Saphy said.

"What are they thinking?" Claire asked.

"Well they are basically kids compared to us." Henry said.

"Open up." I said to the mechanorimon. "I guess I better make sure they don't get themselves killed." I said. "At least this way I can make sure Pheebles doesn't do anything stupid either."

"Has she ever?" Claire asked.

"Not recently, but one of these days she'll slip up." I replied as I climbed into the mechanorimon.

"And Kitty, well that's just who she is." I added.

"That's just the truth." Saphy said as I left with the remaining mechanorimon.

"I was going to go out there too, but I couldn't fit inside the metal man." IceLeomon said as he approached the others with his arms wrapped around both of his wives.

"You let them go?" Zari asked.

"Well I thought it was kind of dumb to just keep hiding in the forest, it's kind of cowardly." IceLeomon explained.

"You know it was also cowardly to wait to bring this up until now." Henry pointed out.

"If those girls die because of you I will never forgive you." Zari said.

-meanwhile-

Phoebe was swarming him Crimsonseadramon with shurikens and Kitty was on the ground, trying not to get smashed and waiting for Phoebe to teleport her back up, while Phoebe herself was trying to find her so she could do so. She was disappointed to see the newbies approach, but there was very little she could do about it at the moment. Kitty didn't notice and was considering clawing her way back up to Crimsonseadramon's head, if she could find a way to safely get on his back without getting thrown off, which considering his body was about as big around as a city bus was easier said than done. His scales were thick but not impossible to penetrate, but his sheer size meant that cutting him to death was not a very practical option, and the mechanorimon's lasers did next to nothing, even with the five of them firing at him at once, he basically ignored them and tried to go after Phoebe, who, in typical gardevoir fashion, was teleporting around a lot, she had to, to stay up that high, but also to avoid getting smacked by Crimsonseadramon's giant head. Having to teleport almost every second, in addition to controlling her shurikens, meant that there was no way she could keep this up for an extended period of time. In practice it already looked like things weren't going well.

"What are you idiots doing out here? Get back before he decides he has time to go after you." I said over the radio as I caught up to them, they were taking their time, for some reason, like they were maybe starting to realize that approaching the big red snake monster wasn't a great idea.

"We're just trying to help." Illustria replied.

"You can help by not getting yourself killed.' I replied.

"No we can help by shooting lasers at the big red snake monster thing." Illustria replied.

"Maybe it will let Phoebe get a better shot." Selenia said.

So despite my warning they went and attacked him anyway.

Unsurprisingly, their lasers did so little damage to Crimsonseadramon, that he basically just ignored them. Phoebe was actually managing to hurt him a little bit, so she was a much higher priority target. While Kitty was on the ground and doing all she could not to get hit by his flailing body. I decided to head down and pick her up Since Phoebe wasn't going to get the time to do so.

"What are you doing here Cj, be careful." She said as I landed near here.

"Climb on, I'll take you back up there." I said.

"Phoebe is going to freak out." She said.

"Yeah well, just hold on tight." I said. "She needs all the help she can get she's basically trying to kill an an evil elephant with a pocket knife."

"What's an elephant?" Kitty asked.

"Never mind, just hold on and don't fall off." I said.

With Kitty clinging onto the mechanorimon's back I brought her back up above the monster's head, trying to stay out of its line of sight, Phoebe looked angry but didn't have time to say anything at the moment. Kitty jumped off and clawed into his head. "Get off of me!" He cried in pain and he began to violently flail around.

"Cj get out of here! It's not safe!" Phoebe yelled at me through telepathy.

"Oh relax I just brought Kitty back up since you couldn't do it for some reason." I replied through the mechanorimon's built in megaphone system.

"I didn't have time. Get out of here. I'm running out of shurikens he keeps shooting them away with lasers." She replied.

"I gotta get the newbies out too they won't listen to me." I said.

"You mean like you won't listen to me." She said.

"I hear you I just don't take you seriously because you're always like this." I said.

"SO they're basically doing the same thing?" Phoebe replied.

"Why are you defending them, they could get seriously hurt." I said.

"So could you, you big dummy." She said as she glared at me, getting the monster's attention.

"Maybe he is the one I should go after, since I can't hit you." Crimsonseadramon said.

"No don't you dare." Phoebe replied as he took aim at me.

"Ow! What is that, it burns." Crimsonseadramon said as the nazzar nail did its thing and began melting its way into his skull.

"Get off of me!" Crimsonseadramon said as he began to flail his head around. While the nazzar nail is great at melting through things, it's not great at holding onto things as whatever touches it tends to turn into liquid, as long as Kitty is using it that is. Which is a great feature as otherwise it would be pretty much impossible to contain, always melting its way through the floor. But when she wears it, only three things are immune to it, glass (which can usually just be smashed through anyway), weirdly glitched parts of the digital world that are immune to everything, and Kitty herself, which extends to her original clothing. I don't know if humans can use it, I tried to wear it once, it wouldn't fit me, my arms are too big and when Phoebe tried to wear it, her fingers were too short, plus she could barely lift it.

So your arms and hands have to be pretty similar to lilithmon's to even be able to wear the damned thing. And while her limbs are pretty much human, and presumably there has to be at least a few people out there able to wear it, not many people have the exact right size. And it's unclear if they would gain the corrosive effects from doing so.

Anyway, while Kitty had clawed into him quite a few seconds ago, the pain was just now registering to him, as its corrosive effect spread. He began to violently flail his head around even more than normal to shake her off and was easily able to do so, sending her flying. Before Phoebe could say anything more, I went to attempt to save her.

"You'll never make it to her, fool!" Crimsonseadramon said as he took aim at me, but found it difficult to do so since Phoebe kept trying to attack his eye, which she had been trying to do this whole time without much success. His one big eye was freakishly resilient to shurikens.

"I can't let you." Phoebe said. "Why can't I poke your eye out?"

"Because I am the ruler of all the oceans of the digital world, to think I could be defeated by something so trivial is laughable." Crimsonseadramon replied.

"You're not a ruler, you're a tyrant and I will kill you, I will find a way." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah right. I'm impressed you can fly, but a puny little human like you could never even hope to defeat me." Crimsonseadramon replied.

"I'm not human though." She said.

"It doesn't matter." Crimsonseadramon said while Phoebe came up with an idea.

"Maybe I should just feed you the rest." She said.

"What are augh?! " He replied as she sent the rest of her shurikens down his throat, causing him to gag and cough as she made them spin around inside of him, ripping him apart from the inside, something he couldn't dodge. He violently spun his head around and managed to hit her, sending her flying, and temporarily knocking her unconscious. He was hurt, but not fatally at this point, what ended him was when he decided to then take a shot at me, a final laser beam grazed my mechanorimon causing it to lose control and crash into the ground. This shot also sent the shurikens back through his throat, causing even more damage and diffusing the beam in a bunch of random directions, cutting through his own body at many, many places, destroying his face, and mortally wounding him, he pretty much destroyed himself.

My mechanorimon was destroyed on impact with the ground before I was able to catch up with Kitty. According to the digivice, her health was at 70% though it was stable, but she was out of range and couldn't be called back in.

Elsewhere, Phoebe woke up just in time to break her fall and landed unharmed.

I was a bit bruised, but thanks to the mechanorimon turning into data at the moment of impact, and the fact that I was only flying a few feet off the ground in an attempt to try to catch Kitty, I was ok. Kitty and Phoebe landed deep in the surrounding forest somewhere. I didn't see Phoebe go flying, as I was heading away from her and then I was busy crashing, so I didn't know she ended up there as well at the time. Crimsonseadramon swayed back and forth for a few seconds with what was basically a literal river of of blood oozing and converging from multiple wounds all over his face and down his neck before finally falling down creating a huge splash in the river which soaked the remains of the town, his huge body began to disintegrate into data soon afterwards, he was so big it took several seconds. After watching him die I made my way back into town, where the newbies were waiting, leaving the mechanorimon's data cloud behind to be collected later.

"Well it's dead." Illustria said to the others as I approached them.

"Do you think we killed it or did Phoebe?" Selenia asked.

"I don't know, who hit it last I wasn't watching her?" Illustria said.

"I don't know." Selenia replied.

"Hey look Cj is coming." Kiera said.

"Where did his mechanorimon go?" Illustria asked. "Don't tell me he's the only one that got shot down."

"I need your mechanorimon now." I said to Illustria.

"Take one of the empty ones." She replied.

"Did you get hit?" Selenia asked.

"It was a lucky shot. I had my back turned, I was chasing after Kitty." I said.

"Anyway, you three are walking back to the others, as punishment for being a bunch of idiots." I said.

"Excuse me?" Illustria replied.

"I need all the mechanorimon to help find Kitty, she got thrown into the forest somewhere, where's Pheebles?" I asked, figuring she'd be with them.

"I don't know." Illustria replied. "But I'm not walking back."

"That's so human of you." I said.

"I am not a human." She said.

"Mechanorimon, what were your orders from HighAndromon again?"

"TO SERVE THE HUMANS." Her mechanorimon replied.

"So you would be serving me by kicking her out. She's not human by her own admittance, you shouldn't have to follow her orders." I said.

"AFFIRMATIVE." The mechanorimon agreed.

"What?" Illustria replied shortly before the mechanorimon ejected her.

"Thankyou." I replied as I climbed in.

"You son of a." Illustria said, angry.

"What about us?" Selenia asked.

"Make sure she walks back to the others and you won't have to." I said. "Hopefully three will be enough.

"Ok." Selenia agreed.

"Also one of you needs to head back and get Saphy or IceLeomon so we can get this guy's data absorbed." I said.

"I'll go." Kiera said.

"Ok good." I replied.

"You traitor." Illustria said as I took her mechanorimon as well as the other two empty ones in order to go find Kitty.

"You better get walking." Selenia said. "I don't want to be out here all night."

"Oh and if Phoebe finds you tell her where I went. And get my mechanorimon's data cloud it's about a half mile out of town off in that direction before you get to the forest" I said.

"Ok." Selenia agreed.

"Allright you two, follow me." I said to the two unoccupied mechanorimon before leaving.

Meanwhile Phoebe got up and started looking around before realizing she was completely lost, so she picked a direction and started to head in it. Until Kitty eventually found her. At this point Kitty had reverted to her persiamon form.

"I thought I smelled something weird, but it was just you." She said after stealthily approaching her from behind, something Phoebe wasn't used to.

"What? Really? Kitty what in the? Don't do that!" Phoebe said.

"Sorry." She replied. "What are you doing out here anyway?"

"I got hit and then I got sent flying." Phoebe said. "Hey Cj was following you so he should be here in a bit shouldn't he?"

"He got hit by a laser." Kitty replied.

"Oh Arceus no." Phoebe said.

"It wasn't a direct hit though, he could be fine." Kitty replied.

"Well now you have me worried." Phoebe said.

"I don't know where we are, and I can't hear anyone else around." Phoebe said.

"So we're lost then." Kitty said.

"Well that depends did you see where you landed relative to where the others are?" Phoebe asked.

"No." Kitty replied.

"Of course not." Phoebe said with a sigh.

"Why didn't you?" Kitty asked.

"I was unconscious. I'm lucky I woke up before I hit the ground. So Cj is out there hurt and we're lost in the forest together." Phoebe said.

"He'll be ok, it's Cj." Kitty said.

"I know, exactly, he always gets hurt." Phoebe said.

"No he doesn't." Kitty said.

"Whatever, I can't think, my head hurts, I'm sore, everywhere." She said. "We need to find the others but I also really need to rest."

"Well then rest now and we'll find the others later. I need to rest too." Kitty replied.

"But they could move by then." Phoebe replied.

"They won't leave us, we'll find them." Kitty said as she layed down, curled up, and shut her eyes.

"Really?" Phoebe asked surprised she was actually trying to sleep.

"Shh, I'm trying to sleep." Kitty softly replied.

"You're unbelievable. Cj could be seriously hurt." Phoebe said with a sigh.

"He'll be fine." Kitty replied.

Phoebe laid down for a bit on the grass, until her worries got the best of her.

"Kitty, I appreciate you taking that hit for him earlier, but I feel like this is just negligence. " Phoebe said.

"What's that mean?" Kitty asked.

"It means now you're acting like you don't even care about him." Phoebe said.

"But I do care, but I also know he's ok." Kitty said.

"You're trying to take a nap and he could be out there bleeding out on the ground right now." Phoebe said.

"Do you know the way out?" Kitty asked.

"Well no, but. We can't let him die." Phoebe said.

"He's fine." Kitty said.

"I can't believe we got separated again so soon." Phoebe said.

"It won't be for nearly as long this time." Kitty said.

"I know but, I never wanted this to happen again and knowing he could be out there moments away from his last breath." Phoebe said. "I need to go, I can't rest until I know he's ok."

"Calm down baby girl." Kitty said.

"Don't you dare call me that, only he can call me that." Phoebe said before walking away, Kitty rolled her eyes and quietly followed her.

"Where are you going?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know, at least I feel like I'm doing something." Phoebe said.

"Even though we could be going the wrong way?" Kitty asked.

"I just need the peace of mind knowing I did everything I could to save his life." Phoebe said.

"Can't you teleport up there and get a look around?" Kitty suggested.

"I could if my head didn't feel like it was about to explode." Phoebe said.

"Maybe you should rest until you can?" Kitty asked.

"But I might be able to get out of here sooner than that." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, but you could also get us more lost." Kitty replied.

"Us?" You don't have to follow me you know?" Phoebe replied. "You can go back and take your nap if you want."

"Back where? We're in a forest, I don't even know where where is anymore, besides if Cj finds me then I have to explain that I let you wander off on your own." Kitty said.

"I'm not wandering Fluffybutt, I'm heading perfectly straight in this direction." Phoebe said.

I headed in the direction I remembered seeing Kitty fly, and found nothing. I figured she must have moved by now as quite a few minutes had passed. I didn't think she was smart enough to head towards the rest of the group so I was at a loss as to which way she could have gone. I wasn't feeling the best either, to say I was unscathed from that crash wasn't completely true, I didn't know where Phoebe went, but I figured she may have just gone back to the others since she was kind of annoyed with me.

With the mechanorimon's help I looked around for about an hour before I decided to take a break to tell the rest of the group what was going on. At least I was able to find them, hanging out in the forest with the now sadly homeless volunteer digimon.

"You get shot down?" Zari asked as a tired Illustria walked towards her, with the other newbies a short distance behind in the mechanorimon.

"No Cj got shot down then he stole my mechanorimon." Illustria said.

"Yeah I doubt that." Zari said.

"He told us to make her walk back as punishment." Selenia said.

"Yep." Kiera agreed.

"And you did so?" Zari asked.

"Well he said if we did we wouldn't have to walk back ourselves. We also brought his mechanorimon." Selenia replied as she presented its data cloud.

"Well ladies, you really shouldn't have just charged out there without talking to anyone else. That could've gone so much worse." Zari said.

"Sorry I thought it would be ok." Illustria said.

"No it's not, if this was the Zelusian army, or even the U.S.C you'd be court-martialed for that." Zari said. "You're lucky that's all you had to walk."

"But this isn't the army." Illustria replied.

"So? We're still your superiors, we have way more experience with this than you. You should have at least said something before just charging out there." Zari said. "Anyway, so where is Cj now?"

"He's out looking for Kitty." Kiera replied as Illustria quieted pouted.

"Is everything ok?" Zari asked.

"I think so, I'm not sure, we haven't seen Phoebe since we got there either." Selenia said.

"So they're all MIA then?" Zari asked.

"Yep." Kiera replied.

"Hopefully they're just off screwing in the forest somewhere." Zari said.

"Oh wait, there they are maybe." Zari said as I arrived along with the other remaining mechanorimon, I landed in the most appropriate spot I could find and climbed out.

"Nope it's just Cj." Zari said.

"Is something wrong? Where's your ladies?" Henry asked me shortly after I got out.

"Phoebe isn't here?" I asked.

"Not unless she's hiding somewhere." Henry said.

"Fuck." I replied.

"I was just out looking for Kitty, figured I would come and tell you what's going on before going back to look some more." I replied. "And now Phoebe is gone too, great. God please let her still be alive, she's so damned fragile when she gets hit."

"Are you limping?" Zari asked as she came over to see with Illustria trailing behind, while Selenia and Kiera dismounted their mechanorimon in the background.

"I got in a crash, I'm a bit banged up, but nothing serious. I think I sprained my leg or something." I said. "Now I gotta go search the city for Pheebles as well, I didn't see her get hit, I got no idea where she could be."

"We can help." Illustria said.

"Ehhh, you've done enough." I replied.

"Oh come on, give her a chance to redeem herself." Zari said.

"What are you her mother now? You know you could almost pass as her mother, almost." I said.

"IF it wasn't for those ears, and that tongue."

"Fuck you." Illustria said. " You liiike it."

"Just let her and the other newbies help." Zari said, completely unphased.

"Chally and the other coldlovers ok?" I asked.

"Yeah they're just trying to stay in the shade, even though it's cool enough that it doesn't make a difference." Zari said.

"Cloudela getting tired of refreezing their Icepacks?" I asked.

"I don't think so, how would I be able to tell?" Zari asked.

"If it stops flying around and kind of just sits an inch or so off the ground like a lump of snow or something." I said.

"Oh, ok." Zari replied.

"Are you going to let me help or not?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah go tell the others and get a mechanorimon and start searching the city for Pheebles, leave the other two behind." I said. As Saphy spoke to Henry in the background.

"Why don't you take our allies over here back to so they can see what they can salvage?" Zari suggested as she motioned her towards the group of champion digimon that had helped her defend the city in the early part of the invasion.

"Yeah that too." I replied.

"Do you think there's anything left?" An aquamon asked.

"Um, to be honest I think the town is a complete loss, but I think there's a few buildings still standing, and then there might be some things buried in the rubble you'll just have to look and see what you can find." I said.

"Allright come on everyone let's get going." Illustria said.

"If only we had more time we could help them rebuild. Poor kids" I said. "I've always hated that, you gotta keep moving, you never get to see what happens in the aftermath because there's other battles to fight elsewhere, other towns that haven't been reduced to rubble yet, you never help anybody rebuild, you can only try to prevent them from having to do so.

"Yeah but, isn't that actually better?" Zari asked.

"I guess so yeah, I didn't think of it that way." I said. "Nice."

"They're not kids they're champions." Saphy said as she approached us.

"Right. Sorry, they just look like little kids almost, it's weird." I said.

"Henry said Phoebe is missing?" Saphy asked.

"Yep." I replied. The newbies just left to look for her in the town.

I want to look too." She said.

"Well you can come with me in the other mechanorimon and help look for Kitty in the forest."

"I want to look for Phoebe." Saphy said.

"Well I need the other mechanorimon to help widen the search pattern or whatever." I said. "So if you want to look for her you need to tell one of the newbies to come back here."

"Oh, ok then I'll just go with you it's fine." Saphy replied.

"Well ok if you say so." I replied. "Let's find them and get out of here before some other dark king shows up."

-meanwhile-

"We should have reached the edge by now, we're going the wrong way." Phoebe said.

"So turn around and go the other way." Kitty replied.

"Yeah, but we don't know if that's the right way either and the canopy is too thick, I can't tell where the sun is." Phoebe said.

"How does that help?" Kitty asked.

"The sun always rises and sets in the same direction, so you can use it to figure out what way north is." Phoebe said.

"Can't you teleport up and take a look around yet?" Kitty asked.

"My head still hurts too much." Phoebe replied. "That hit took a lot out of me, I guess I'm just lucky I can still walk."

"Maybe you should just stop and rest then." Kitty suggested.

"You're probably right, if Cj was going to die he's probably dead by now." Phoebe said as she stopped walking and laid down, feeling absolutely miserable.

"He's not dead, stop talking like that." Kitty replied.

"You're right, we don't know for sure." Phoebe replied. "He could be looking for us right now."

"Maybe." Kitty said.

"What do you mean maybe? Of course he would look, he has to know I'm missing by now, if he's alive, and he knows you're somewhere here." Phoebe said. "Really we should head back to where you landed."

"I don't know where that is anymore." Kitty said.

"Right, we're lost, at least, until my headache goes away. This stress isn't helping." I said.

"Then stop worrying." Kitty replied.

"I can't." Phoebe replied.

She laid there for a few minutes and quietly stared up at the sky, what little she could see of it through the leaves of the trees.

"Just rest for a while, I'll stay on guard for you." Kitty said.

"From what? There's no enemies out here." Phoebe said.

"Yeah well, you never know. I'll keep an eye out for Cj too so you won't have to." " Kitty said.

"Thanks, I guess.." Phoebe replied as she slowly lulled herself to sleep.

An hour later she woke up to find Kitty laying down beside her, curled up, and fast asleep.

"I thought you were going to keep an eye out for Cj?" She said.

"Oh yeah I um, I got bored." Kitty replied. "Can you teleport now?"

"Yeah, I guess I can, give me a moment." She said as she stood up and looked towards the sky, she teleported up in the air a few moments later, got a good look around, and then came back down.

"Did you see anything?" Kitty asked.

"There was just trees everywhere, as far as I can see, but, at least I know which way is north is now, the edge is to the south, so we have to go this way. So let's get going." Phoebe said.

"Can I get some time to rest?" Kitty asked.

"No, we need to get moving now." Phoebe said. "Besides, you've been resting, when you were supposed to be keeping a lookout."

"Sorry." Kitty replied.

From that point on they started to head roughly southwest, with Phoebe teleporting up every few minutes or so to check their surroundings, but they didn't make it back to the edge by dark.

Meanwhile I had been searching for Kitty this entire time, and hadn't found a single sentient being. I was starting to get worried. I hadn't heard from the newbies either, meaning they likely hadn't found Phoebe yet in the remains of the town. I guess the canopy was thick enough that it could have obscured her in places, but I really felt that I should have found her by now. That said, I was way more worried about Phoebe, I knew what happened to Kitty and that she was probably allright if I could just find her, but I had no idea where Phoebe was or even if she was still alive, a feeling that at this point was way too familiar for my own liking. As the sun eventually went down, I had to make the difficult decision to return to the others empty handed. Saphy wanted to keep looking, but it was kind of pointless since there wasn't enough light to see anything beneath the trees anymore.

"We can't be that far from the edge." Phoebe said after they stopped traveling for the day as the sun was about to set and there would be no way to get any sense of direction once it was gone. "There's no way we wandered that far out."

"Maybe we're still going the wrong way." Kitty said.

"No, even if we're just heading vaguely south we should be able to hit the edge eventually." Phoebe said. "We haven't made it there yet, but at least this grass is soft enough to sleep on."

"Well, um, do you want to maybe indulge in my body since Cj isn't here?" Kitty asked nervously.

" I'm not in the mood Kitty, ." Phoebe said. "Besides, Cj might feel left out. If he's still alive, and if he's not, then, for me to do such a thing with anyone so soon, it's unthinkable. I can't be having fun with you or anyone else here when there's a chance he might not even be breathing. How could you even consider such a thing?"

"Because I know he's alive." Kitty replied.

"Yeah well what proof do you have?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't have any proof, I just don't believe he would die like that." Kitty said.

"We can snuggle if you want, but that's it, keep your clothes on." Phoebe said.

"Ok." Kitty replied.

"and it's only because I don't have a blanket." Phoebe replied.

"Mhm sure." Kitty said as they snuggled together.

"Can you hold me? Like Cj?" Phoebe asked.

"Um, yeah ok." Kitty replied as she wrapped her arms around her.

"Like this?" She asked.

"Yeah, just not too tight or you'll hurt yourself." Phoebe replied.

"Your arms are soft." She said after a few moments of silence.

"Um, thanks I guess." Kitty said.

"Goodnight sister. Hopefully we'll find the others tomorrow." Phoebe said.

"Goodnight." Kitty replied.

Even though she felt comfortable enough in Kitty's arms, Phoebe still struggled to sleep.

I wasn't doing much better, on the bus, by myself, I hated being by myself, seemed like something that only ever happened in the worst times of my life. Such as my childhood, or that time when I was on that planet by myself having to steal bread to survive, before the events took place that led to me marrying Aranea, or that time after Aranea died before I got involved with Kitty. At least those times never seemed to last very long, in retrospect. I still knew that Kitty was probably just lost in the forest somewhere, but I had grave fears that Phoebe was buried under the rubble in the town somewhere else, which is part of the reason why I let the newbies search for her. They didn't find her, but they found about twenty of her shurikens scattered around. We couldn't stay here forever to look for them, we had other dark kings to destroy, and we all knew the fate of the multiverse pretty much depended on us doing so. Though it would be a lot more difficult without either of them. Before I even got in bed I knew it was going to be a rough night, there was just no getting around it.

The morning couldn't come fast enough, I got back in the mechanorimon at daybreak and immediately went back to looking for Kitty without saying anything to anyone, half the camp was still asleep at that point anyway.

Kitty slept well, as usual, but Phoebe was in a hurry to get up and start moving again just like I was, to the point where she woke her up so they could get going that much faster.

"Wake up Fluffybutt! The sun is up we need to get going!" Phoebe said as she pulled herself away from her so she could get up.

"Already?" Kitty tiredly asked.

"Mhm, don't make me kick you." Phoebe said.

"Wait, don't kick me." Kitty replied.

"Then get up, come on!" Phoebe said.

"Do you even know where we're going yet?" Kitty asked.

"I will in a few seconds." Phoebe said before she teleported up in the air to check her surroundings.

"It's this way come on." She said after she came back a few seconds later.

"mmph." Kitty moaned as she got up and followed Phoebe through the forest.

"I'm telling Cj you threatened to kick me." Kitty said.

"Oh don't be like that." Phoebe replied.

"Besides what's he going to do anyway?" Phoebe asked.

"Make you apologize." Kitty said.

"Well I'm sorry, but we need to get going." Phoebe said. "We already wasted a whole day going the wrong way."

"That wasn't my fault I told you you should've rested, but you just had to wander off." Kitty said.

"I told you we weren't wandering, we were heading straight in whatever direction that was." Phoebe replied.

"How do you know for sure?" Kitty asked.

"I just do, I'm good at keeping track of things." Phoebe replied.

"Sure you are. You boobless weirdo." Kitty said with a bit of sarcasm.

"You know that's not true! They get bigger than yours." Phoebe replied.

"Until I digivolve." Kitty said.

"Yeah and then you're stuck with those massive balloons all the time and they jiggle around when you're fighting and stuff, and I bet it slows you down and gets pretty annoying." Phoebe said.

"Not really. They're fun to play with." Kitty replied.

"But mine only get big when they need to be. That way I can still fight at my best." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah, well, at least I never get mistaken for a boy." Kitty said.

"Neither do I, usually it's the other way around for my species." Phoebe said.

"Are you sure we're going the right way?" Kitty asked.

"I'll check again in a little while, but I'm pretty sure we're still going the right way." Phoebe replied.

" I can't sense anybody else around can you smell anyone?" Phoebe asked.

"Just you." Kitty replied.

"Can you smell other digimon?" Phoebe asked.

"No, only if they're nearby." Kitty replied.

"What it's like being able to smell like that? Does everything that smells bad smell even worse to you?" Phoebe asked.

" I don't know, some stuff smells bad, really, really bad but you get used to it after a while. It's almost like as soon as you find out what it is you just kind of ignore it. It just kind of fades into the background."

"And then there's stuff that's overpoweringly bad. Like my 37th, or maybe it was my 36th, I don't really remember, but anyway my 37th boyfriend's refrigerator smelled awful."

"Really?" Phoebe asked.

"Yes there was this big green fuzzy glob of, stuff that was like taking over the back of it, inside."

"That doesn't sound very healthy." Phoebe said.

"Yeah well, he was sick, a lot." Kitty replied.

"That's probably why." Phoebe said.

"You think so?" Kitty asked.

"Probably, if not that then who knows what other rotten food he had sitting around." Phoebe said.

"I don't know about that, but honestly I'm glad he broke up with me after I accidently ripped up his couch." Kitty said.

"Remind me to never let you on our couch." Phoebe said.

"I was drunk, it was an accident. It was full of fluffy stuff, it was fun. " Kitty replied.

"That doesn't sound like an accident." Phoebe said.

"Ehhhhh, well it was, until I realized it was full of fluff." Kitty said.

"Understood." Phoebe replied." I guess I should keep you away from our mattresses and pillows too.

"Phoebe I was drunk, he was out working, that was literally the only time I ever did that." Kitty said. "You wanna check what way we're going yet?"

"In a bit, let's just keep going for a little while longer." Phoebe replied.

"So that was your 37th boyfriend huh?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, Cj probably told you already, I went through a lot." Kitty said.

"Yeah, and he really loves you, somehow." Phoebe replied.

"That's good to know." Kitty replied.

"But he loves me too." Phoebe said.

"He has a lot of love." Kitty said.

"And you may have been with him longer, but you haven't been through nearly as much with him as I have." Phoebe said.

"I know, he used to tell me stories, and before that he'd tell Aranea, and his daughter, and even his grandchildren." Kitty said.

"How'd Aranea take it?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't know if she ever believed him or not, but she was happy." Kitty said. "Cj was with her until the end, even when she looked more than twice his age."

"He must have really loved her then." Phoebe said.

"Just like he loves both of us now." Kitty replied." Sometimes I wish I could have kids with him too."

"Well I'm glad you can't otherwise this would be more complicated." Phoebe said. "Besides, I pretty much had to force him to get me pregnant."

"Yeah he told everyone about that too." Kitty said.

"Oh he did?" Phoebe asked.

"Mhm." Kitty said.

"Sometimes I regret that it had to happen that way, but it turned out really well so, I don't really regret it, we both love our son and he's such a sweet little thing. That's why we're trying so hard to get back to him and our adopted daughter." Phoebe said.

"We talked about that once too, he didn't go for it. I don't think I was ever cut out to be a mother anyway. I've dated guys with kids before, you know how that went." Kitty said.

"Well not everyone Is cut out for it." Phoebe said. "It's ok, in fact it's great that you realize that now instead of when it's too late."

"If you say so." Kitty replied.

"I know so, Zari and I are the only experienced mothers on our entire team." Phoebe replied.

"Well I'm an experienced aunt." Kitty said.

"Well that's not the same thing sweety." Phoebe replied." Besides, so am I."

"You are?" Kitty asked.

"Yes, my brother has a kid too." Phoebe replied.

"You have a brother?" Kitty asked.

"In the actual sense yes, not in the way you and I are sisters, or the way you were an aunt to Cj's daughter, I'm guessing." Phoebe said.

"No I get it, I've seen normal brothers and sisters before." Kitty replied.

"Good." Phoebe replied.

"Is it time to check where we are yet?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah it's about time. Wait here." Phoebe replied before teleporting away.

"Good news, I can see the edge." She said after teleporting back, if anyone is looking for us they should be able to find us there, and we might be able to get back to them on our own if we just keep heading east." Phoebe replied.

-meanwhile-

I got distracted from my quest to find Kitty by the sight of a seadramon that had somehow gotten itself pinned under a tree and was now crying out for help. Some betamon, aquamon, otomamon, and geckomon were gathered around it, but were unable to move the tree. A few minutes later the mechanorimon had managed to free it. They were obviously refugees from the destroyed town. It must have happened while they were running away.

I spoke to the group for a bit afterwards, but unfortunate they had no information on either Kitty or Phoebe. Though I found a few of Phoebe's shurikens scattered on the ground nearby. Apparently Crimsonseadramon must have deflected them and they ended up over here, taking out the tree in the process, i put them in the digivice, planning to return them to Phoebe later if I ever found her. Unfortunately though there was only 5 of them. The group of refugees later confirmed my theory as they said they came flying out of the sky out of nowhere. This also meant that there were likely more of them just scattered all over the place. It was going to be difficult to find them all, if we even had time to do so.

Meanwhile, Kitty and Phoebe came across a similar incident.

"Arceus it's one of my shurikens" Phoebe said as she found one still firmly wedged into a tree.

"How did it get out here?" Kitty asked as Phoebe tried to pry it out of the tree.

"I don't know, I guess when Crimsonseadramon shot it away it must have ended up here, maybe there's others nearby?"

"Yeah hold onto that thought I smell a digmon." Kitty said while sniffing the air around her.

"What are you sure?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah this way, come on." Kitty replied.

"Well wait a second, don't go running off." Phoebe replied as she tried to free her shuriken from the tree with no success.

"Can you digivolve and pull this out? I can't get it. It's really stuck." Phoebe asked, not wanting to resort to using her powers.

"Probably won't even have to digivolve." Kitty said before walking up and pulling it out.

"Here you go." Kitty replied.

"Thanks." Phoebe said.

"Now come on." Kitty said.

"Right." Phoebe replied as she stashed the shuriken in her digivice.

"One down, 68 more to go." She said, as she had managed to lose almost all of them.

She followed Kitty for a little ways until they came across a cherrymon, on the ground, with a shuriken sticking out of its back.

"I've fallen and I can't get up. Somebody help, please." The cherrymon said.

"Arceus I'm so sorry." Phoebe replied.

"Kitty, can you pull it out again? Then we can help him up." Phoebe asked.

"Yeah ok." Kitty replied.

"Wait you're not an evil cherrymon are you?" Phoebe asked.

"I was just out going for a walk when this thing hit me." The cherrymon replied.

"I'm so so sorry .I didn't think it would travel all the way out here when Crimsonseadramon shot it away." Phoebe apologized while Kitty pulled the shuriken out of his back.

"This infernal thing belongs to you?" The cherrymon asked.

"Yes, but I didn't mean for it to end up all the way out here." Phoebe replied. "Besides, I defeated Crimsonseadramon with it, at least I think I did, I haven't seen him around, have you?"

"Who's Crimsonseadramon?" The cherrymon asked.

"A big scary evil guy, I think he's dead now though." Phoebe replied.

"He was a dark king." Kitty added.

"Oh, well then, good riddance. If I was a puppetmon I'd give them what for meself." The cherrymon replied as Kitty pulled the shuriken out of his back.

"There I got it." Kitty said.

"Good now we just have to help him up." Phoebe said as they worked together to do so.

"There you go everything is good now right?" Phoebe asked.

"My back still hurts." Cherrymon replied.

"You have any white digiroot?" Kitty asked.

"Um yeah, here, find some water, grind this into a paste and it should help." Phoebe said as she got some digiroot out of her digivice.

"Thankyou." The cherrymon replied.

"Once again, I'm so sorry." Phoebe said.

"It's not your fault, it's just a bit of bad luck." The cherrymon replied. "Thank you for helping me."

"Mhm, no problem. Now come on Kitty, let's get going." Phoebe said.

"Right." Kitty replied as they continued their journey to the edge of the forest.

= A few minutes later-

"You think we maybe could have recruited that guy?" Phoebe asked.

"Did you really want to wait for him though? Cherrymon are very slow moving." Kitty said.

"Yeah, I guess that's true." Phoebe said. "And he won't fit in a mechanorimon, so even if Cj finds us he'd have to hobble his way all the way back to our group."

"And he seemed kind of old." Kitty said.

"So? You digimon don't age." Phoebe said.

"Old in spirit, I mean." Kitty said.

"I don't understand what you mean." Phoebe said.

"Nevermind." Kitty said.

"If we find an ultimate that's not a cherrymon we're recruiting them though." Phoebe said.

"Ok." Kitty replied.

"And if we find a cherrymon closer to our camp we're recruiting them too." Phoebe said.

"How are you going to carry him around though?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know he can, ride on top of the bus with, you're right it won't work unless somebody becomes his partner." Phoebe said.

"And who is going to have sex with a tree?" She asked moments later. "Is that even possible?"

"I don't think that's really necessary, you perverted weirdo." Kitty said.

"Or is it?" Phoebe asked." That's how you became CJ's partner, and how Saphy became mine, and, I don't know about IceLeomon and his wives, but I'm pretty sure he has had sex with them at some point."

"He has. They told me." Kitty replied. " But I don't think it has to work that way, and Cj doesn't think so either."

"I know that, but Cj isn't right all the time." Phoebe replied.

"Neither are you, sometimes you're just a pervert for no good reason." Kitty replied.

"Yeah, I guess that's true, sometimes." Phoebe agreed.

"Hey is that the edge up there?" She asked moments later as she found an opening in the trees.

"Kitty it's the edge, we finally made it to the edge, now we just have to keep heading east and we'll eventually make it back to the others." She said. "I hope Cj is ok."

"I'm sure he'll be fine." Kitty replied.

"Oh I hope so, I just want him to hold me tight and kiss me." Phoebe said.

"That's it?" Kitty asked.

"Well no, but, you don't need to know the rest." Phoebe said in a rare moment of restraint.

"I just want his throbbing. . . ." Kitty began to say.

"You watch what you say about my husband you're still just our virara." Phoebe interrupted.

"That said I think a threesome is in order, if he's up for it." Phoebe said a few seconds later.

"Yay." Kitty cheered.

"If he's up for it, if he just wants me you're out of luck." Phoebe said.

"Why would he just want you when he could have both of us?" Kitty asked.

"Because it's Cj and he can be weird sometimes." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, but he loves us both." Kitty said.

"That he does." Phoebe replied.

"Do you think he maybe slept with Zari last night?" Kitty asked.

"No, he wouldn't do that to me." Phoebe said. "If he is still alive."

"He did it to me." Kitty said.

"You encouraged it." Phoebe replied.

"Ehh, kind of." Kitty said.

"Let's talk about something else, no reason to try to start a fight when we're this close to making it back home." Phoebe said.

"Ok like what?" Kitty asked.

"So you were in the U.S.C with him?" Phoebe asked.

"No he was with Aranea at the time." Kitty said

"Was Aranea in the U.S.C?" Phoebe asked.

"No, Cj just brought her along as a family member when he got promoted, she wasn't really involved with any of the missions or anything. She came to dinner a few times and some special events, but most of the time she kept to herself. And she was almost always with Cj. She was just shy like that."

"Now his daughter, on the other hand, once she learned how to walk you'd never know where she'd be. Sometimes she'd be on the bridge, sometimes she'd be in the engine room, sometimes she'd just be hanging around with the other officer's kids, then before we knew it, she grew up, entered the training program and was quickly moved to another ship."

"What was her name?" Phoebe asked.

"Everyone just called her kid, I think Aranea herself was the only one that could pronounce it properly and she would make scary faces at anyone that got it wrong or tried to shorten it to something more convenient. So everyone just called her kid, and her friends called her Zissy, which was short for a weird mess of letters I don't remember anymore. "

"And Cj has never been good with names." Phoebe said.

"No he isn't, but that was all Aranea there, he let her pick the name." Kitty replied.

"He did that for me too. So I named our son after my grandpa." Phoebe said.

"What was he like?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know, he sacrificed himself to protect our city from poachers, so, he's celebrated as a hero, but I never met him." Phoebe said.

"Well I never had a grandpa, or just a pa, so, yeah." Kitty said. "Though I guess I had a mother of sorts."

"Yeah well, it's different for digimon isn't it? You don't really have an established family structures, or genetics or anything." Phoebe said.

"Nope, just data." Kitty replied.

"Well there's got to be more than that though." Phoebe said.

"How did a bunch of data get to look so cute?" Phoebe asked.

"Oh now you're just being silly." Kitty said.

"No I'm not, how do you go from a bunch of ones and zeros to having boobs, amazing, always perfect hair, and claws as sharp as any sword?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't know, maybe Ophanimon knows." Kitty said.

"Where even is Ophanimon?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't even know, I think if I remember, she has a castle in the sky somewhere, unless the dark kings chased her out of it already." Kitty said.

"A castle in the sky?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah where she watches over the whole digital world." Kitty said.

"I know she's real because we've heard her voice before, but really?" Phoebe asked.

"Well nobody knows for sure." Kitty said.

"This crazy world of yours." Phoebe said with a sigh.

"You know at this point, I've spent more time outside of it than in it." Kitty said.

"Yeah, but still, it's your world, not mine. You were born here, I wasn't." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, I guess." Kitty said.

"But if this is my world that means Cj is mine since he's here too!" Kitty said.

"No it does not. You know that's not what I meant." Phoebe replied.

"I'm just playing with you." Kitty said.

"Yeah you are, you goofball. Thinking you can steal him away from me like that." Phoebe replied.

"So what does her magical sky castle look like?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't know." Kitty replied. "Other than it being a castle in the sky."

"Yeah, that makes sense." Phoebe replied.

"Do you see Cj or anyone else around somewhere looking for us?" Phoebe asked as she started to search he skies for a mechanorimon, which would be easier to spot now that she was out from under the trees. Unfortunately at this point I was looking for Kitty more to the North, along with the mechanorimon.

"Nope, I don't see anything." Kitty said as she looked around as well.

"I guess we'll just have to keep walking then." Phoebe replied.

So they kept walking back to camp, occasionally stopping to pick up more of Phoebe's shurikens whenever they came across them, some were buried halfway in the ground, others were stuck in trees, some managed to cut down a few trees, but most just got wedged into a tree at an odd angle.

Finally an hour later I decided to return to the camp as I figured by now most of the others would be awake and wondering where the hell I went. That was when I found them walking along the edge.

"How the hell did they get there, we must have missed them somehow?" I asked.

"ANSWER NOT KNOWN." The mechanorimon replied.

"Well go and land by them and tell the others to land.

"AFFIRMATIVE." The mechanorimon replied.

They spotted me moments later and started jumping up and down.

"Cj you're still alive." Phoebe said as she ran up and hugged me barely a moment after I got out of the mechanorimon.

"I told you." Kitty said.

"No you're still alive, I never saw what happened to you." I said.

We kissed and then we settled down a little bit.

"He hit me and I got sent flying like Kitty." Phoebe said.

"Kitty said you crashed, I didn't know if you made it or not." She continued.

"It was just a few bruises, nothing major." I replied.

"I'm ok too." Kitty said.

"Well I knew you were probably ok." I said. "Though I was out here looking for you, I didn't think Phoebe would be out here too. I was worried she died in the town somewhere."

"Well you found both of us. And we're both alive, and we both missed you so much." Phoebe said.

"I missed you too." I said.

"You spent the night alone." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah, and it sucked." I said.

"Did you have eachother?" I asked.

"We snuggled, but that's it." Phoebe replied.

"You know she's our virara." I said.

"I know, but I didn't feel like it." Phoebe replied.

"Allright, pick a mechanorimon, let's get back to camp." I said.

"I pick yours." Phoebe said just to be a nuisance.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes." Phoebe replied.

'"Fine." I said.

"You missed me right?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah I missed you, I knew you were just lost in the forest though, I didn't know what the heck happened to Phoebe. Let's get back to camp, I kind of left without telling anyone so, we shouldn't stay out any longer than necessary." I said.

"Oh you didn't tell anyone?" Phoebe asked.

"Well they probably know what I'm doing, but they might be pissed I didn't wait for them." I said.

"Ohh I just remembered Illustria needs to be punished." Phoebe said.

"I already took care of that." I said.

"Yeah, but you did it the boring way." Phoebe replied.

"Did you ask Kitty for permission?" I asked.

"Well maybe I want to help." Kitty replied.

"Yeah maybe she wants to help." Phoebe replied.

"Oh good grief." I replied. "Right now I just want to get on the bus, get moving, and hold you two close. Allright, that's all."

"Ok." Phoebe replied.

"So let's get going." I said.

A few minutes later we were back at the camp.

"You found them." Zari said.

"Yep." I replied.

"Good, now we can get moving." Zari said.

"Pheebles! I'm so glad you're ok." Saphy said as she ran over to hug Phoebe.

"Hi Saphy." Phoebe replied.

"You should have told us you were going, you could have taken the newbies with you or something." Zari said.

"I didn't feel like waiting around for everyone to wake up." I said.

"Well maybe we won't feel like waiting around for you to come back next time." Zari said.

"Yeah right." I replied.

"Awe, but my poor little baby had to sleep all alone." Phoebe said as she pinched my cheek.

"Pheebles cut it out." I said.

"Anyway, Phoebe we found a lot of you shurikens scattered around the city." Zari said. "They're all piled up over there if you want them."

"Thankyou I found a few too." Phoebe said.

"Me too, here you go." I replied as I ejected several of the from my digivice.

"Good, I was worried it would take too long to find most of them." Phoebe said.

"How many did you have?" I asked.

"69, but I lost all of them. I'm down to 4." Phoebe said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Well I can only use so many at once and it seemed like more than enough." Phoebe replied.

"We need to get you a therapist after this." I said.

"Oh, I'm allright Cj, seriously." She said. "Go snuggle with Kitty on the bus, I'll join you in a bit, Zari tell ninjamon to take the mechanorimon with the newbies, and tell Illustria to come with us." Phoebe said.

"I'll tell ninjamon to take the mechanorimon, we already agreed we're not punishing Illustria any further. And you're not taking the bus remember? We agreed to split up after this, you two and your digimon need to head south." Zari said.

"Awwe I forgot about that. "Phoebe replied. "There goes my love bus idea."

"Maybe some other time." Zari said.

"Well then, see you in a few days Zari." I said as I gave her a hug.

"Awwe, you better come back." She said.

"He will, I'll make sure of it." Phoebe said.

Where's Henry? We need his car." I said.

"He headed off into the woods with Claire, they'll probably be back in the moment."

"And the newbies?" I asked.

"They think they're training." Zari said.

"They think?" I asked.

"I offered them some advice, but Illustria thinks she knows better." Zari said.

" She'll, learn someday." I said.

"Chally and Cloudela?" Phoebe asked.

"They're "training" with them." Zari replied.

"I see." Phoebe replied.

"So do you think we could have a quickie before they get back?" Phoebe asked.

"Pheebles." I scolded her.

"Well we're not going to see Zari for a few days I think a going away party is appropriate." Phoebe said.

"Phoebe I." Zari struggled to say.

"Oh come on, you wanted him last night didn't you?, now's your chance before we leave for a while." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles." I scolded again.

Then Kitty kissed me.

"Kitty kat what are you doing?" I asked.

"Let's just do this real quick, I missed you." She said.

"Ok, let's try to sneak away." I whispered.

"That's never going to work and you know it." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, I know." I replied.

"Take me with you." Phoebe said.

"Ok." I replied as I took her hand.

"Saphy, Zari, come if you dare." Phoebe said as the three of us headed towards the bus.

We got on the bus I layed down on the bed, carefully pulled Phoebe on top of me and we started making out while I tried to get my pants off for Kitty. But she came up alongside us so I started making out with both of them instead.

"Guess this is happening." I said.

"Too late to back out now Cj." Phoebe teasingly replied.

"Yeah you both got me pinned here don't you?" I said.

"I fucking love you girls." I said with a sigh.

"Awe we love you too." Phoebe said.

"Mhmm." Kitty agreed.

Are we too late?" Saphy asked as she came onto the bus with Zari nervously trailing behind her.

"No, but there isn't much room here." Phoebe replied.

"Let's see, Saphy you can take that side. Zari…. Um.

"There's no way five people are going to fit on this bed." I said with a laugh as Saphy kissed me on the cheek.

"True." Phoebe replied.

"But I can sit up here with your head on my lap and Zari can come over on this side. And I can just hold you here like this for a while." She said as she removed her shoes and did so.

"You're ok with that?" I asked.

"Well we need to make this work somehow." Phoebe replied as she lifted up her dress.

"Getting naked already baby girl?" I asked.

"Well we don't have much time." Phoebe replied.

-a lot of stupid crazy sex later-

I'm not sure how the five of us managed to fit on that bed, but we did, though Saphy and Zari were semi squished against the walls of the bus. Would have made a great picture if everyone wasn't naked.

Anyway, that wasn't a comfortably sustainable position for them so they eventually got up after a few minutes and got dressed while I layed there with my ladies for a bit longer.

"So it's just going to be us and Saphy for a few days." I said.

"Mhm, we'll have to make sure she doesn't feel left out." Phoebe replied.

"You know Pheebles, at some point you're going to have to decide whether she's in or out." I said.

"We can put that off for a while though." Phoebe said.

"Am I in?" Kitty asked.

"No, get out." Phoebe joked.

"No." Kitty refused.

"Yeah, you're definitely in Kitty Kat, don't worry about that." I replied.

"What you're in though exactly is beyond me." I added a few seconds later.

"I think we'll just stay this way, it's complicated enough." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, that's true." I replied.

"But still Saphy can't feel left out." Phoebe insisted.

"Well do that with your clothes on." I said.

"I don't know if I can." Phoebe said.

"Then don't bother." I replied.

"It's gonna suck to get up." I said a few moments later with a sigh.

"Yeah, we're not going to see our bed for a few days." Phoebe said. "But Cj you know the grass is actually pretty comfortable here."

"Yeah, but if we're going south we'll be going back through the desert, there won't be any grass."

"Well the sand can't be much worse, it's like a big beach!" Phoebe replied.

"Without water?" I asked.

"Yeah, a big beach without water. Which is fine because I can't swim very well anyway." Phoebe reiterated.

"That means it's going to be hot, and from what I understand the further south we go the hotter it gets." I said.

"That's what the map made it look like." Phoebe said.

"That just means I get to wear a bikini and make you stare at me all day while I walk around barefoot in the sand." Phoebe said.

"Yeah right, he'll be staring at me miss no boobs." Kitty blurted out.

"Um hello? Bigger than yours." Phoebe said as pulled the blanket down to show off her breasts which hadn't returned to their normal size yet.

"Mmm." I said as I gave them a squeeze.

"You know those won't be there in a few minutes.' Kitty said.

"They will if Cj keeps playing with them." Phoebe said. "Are you ready for round 2 already or what?"

"No I just like playing with your boobs." I said.

"Well stop for now you can play with them more tonight." She said.

"Aww but they're so soft, and squishy." I said.

"You can play with mine." Kitty said.

"I think I will now." I said as I started to play with her boobs instead.

"No, don't encourage him." Phoebe replied.

"Don't uncourage him." Kitty said.

"You mean discourage." Phoebe replied.

"Whatever squishy boobs." Kitty said.

And yours are about the right size to put my hands around. It's a nice feeling too." I said as she giggled helplessly.

"Allright I'm done, I love you girls." I said as I put my arms around them both.

"Love you!" They both replied in quick succession.

"Maybe we should get dressed before Henry gets back and makes fun of us for doing exactly what he was just doing." Phoebe said.

"How do you know that's what he's doing?" I asked.

"Well I don't know Cj, what else would they be doing in the forest, alone?" Phoebe asked.

"Maybe they're having a pokémon battle?" I asked.

"Ok you got me there." Phoebe replied as she sat up. "We should still get dressed though."

She got up and picked her dress off of the floor before slipping it back on.

"Ok now that you're dressed what are you going to do?" I asked.

"Stand here until you get up and start getting dressed." Phoebe replied.

"What if he doesn't want to?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah what if I don't want too?" I replied.

"Just get dressed you big weirdo." An unamused Phoebe replied.

"Fine, where'd the crazy Pheebles go?" I replied as I got up and started to hunt down my clothes.

"We don't have very long, and I'd rather not get caught if we don't have too." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah, ok. Kitty you getting dressed too or you just going to lay there naked until we have to leave?" I asked.

"I don't know." She replied.

"Get dressed." Phoebe insisted.

"Ok." Kitty said.

-A minute or so later-

"There I'm dressed." I said.

"Great." Phoebe replied.

"Now what?" I asked.

"I don't know." Phoebe replied.

"I'm dressed too." Kitty said as she finished hooking her top together.

"I can see." Phoebe replied.

"What was wrong with staying in bed a little while longer?" I asked.

"Because we need to get going as soon as we can." Phoebe said.

"If you say so baby girl." I replied.

Eventually Henry and Claire returned and we packed up some supplies, took his car, and headed south, just Phoebe and I and our digimon.

I spent the next few hours driving before I let Phoebe take over so I could sleep and we alternated as such. It was a quiet drive, there wasn't much to talk about, nor was there much to see as we had passed through it all before. It was not comfortable to sleep in the car, so after many hours of driving we had to take a break out of exhaustion. We weren't quite back to the desert yet. We still had a long ways to go.

Surprisingly, our sleeping bags combined with the already soft grass were extremely comfortable.

It was going to be a long journey.
