67. The fire down below

-Chapter 67-

The next morning I awoke to find her still snuggled up next to me. The most well rested I had felt in quite a while. Phoebe was still asleep, so I waited a bit for her to wake up, which she did a few minutes later.

"Goodmorning baby girl." I said when she cracked open her eyes.

"Goodmorning Cj." She replied before moving in for a kiss.

"I actually feel well-rested for once." I said.

"Me too." She replied.

"So what are you thinking baby girl?" I asked.

"I don't know." She said as she crawled on top of me.

"What are you doing?" I asked as I looked into her eyes.

"You're bigger than me, if you got on top me you would squish me." She said.

"Oh baby girl, I would never squish you, I love you." I said. "Now why are you on top of me?"

"Because I can be." She said. "I was thinking maybe we could have some fun before the others come back."

"We're kind of out in the open though." I said.

"I know." She replied. "But we have this big old sleeping bag."

"How can you be this horny this soon after waking up?" I asked.

"I'm not, but I think we can work our way up to it." She said. "I mean come on, sometimes you're pretty hard even when you're asleep."

"Are you touching me when I'm asleep?" I asked.

"Maybe sometimes, and I'm sorry, but I just need to know Cj, how many times have I had to tell you to stop playing with my boobs in the morning?" She replied.

"Yeah how many times have you told me? While you were awake and could say something about it?" I asked.

"I'm sorry, don't get mad." She replied.

I looked into her eyes for a moment.

"No no no you're not tickling me." She said, reading my mind.

"Well you kind of deserve it." I said.

"No." She said as she seized my hands and very weakly held them down against the soft grass.

"That's not fair Pheebles." I replied as she looked into my eyes.

"And now I can just kiss you and kiss you and kiss you." She said after a few moments of silence.

"That's really sweet, but you're not holding me that tight." I said.

"I know, I just don't expect you to resist, because I also know that you love me, and stop thinking about how you're going to break free and tickle me!" She said.

"You know its coming." I said with a smile.

"No." She replied.

"Yes." I said as I started to push back, easily overpowering her until she started to use her powers to augment her physical strength.

"No." She said as her eyes started to glow.

"Oh now you're getting scary." I said as I gradually started to overpower her, not wanting to hurt her.

"I thought you had more strength than this." I asked.

"I do, but if I push any harder I'll hurt my hands and maybe even your hands." She said.

"Yeah, that wouldn't be good would it? " I said.

"No it wouldn't." She agreed.

"I need my hands to tickle you!" I said as I got my hands out from under hers and started to tickle her.

"No no no, stop, Cj ." She squeaked before emmiting a series of giggles.

At some point I reversed the situation and got on top of her.

"Now you're gonna squish me." She said in a playful tone.

"Have I ever squished you before?" I asked.

"No." She replied.

"Then what are you worried about?" I said before kissing her. She kissed me back and before long we were making out.

"Can I tell Kitty about this?" She asked.

"Why?" I asked. "You feel guilty?"

"Oh Arceus no, I just want to make her jealous." She replied.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because it's fun." She replied.

"You two need to learn to get along, not continue to annoy each other, you've been doing pretty well with her recently." I said.

"Oh ok, fine." Phoebe replied." I promise I won't tell her."

"Ok, then." I said. "Now, before we start with anything else, I wasn't done tickling you."

"Oh no." She replied.

-meanwhile, at the local inn-

Kitty woke up alone and without anyone to talk to, she didn't waste much time getting out of bed and heading over to Saphy's room next door.

"Saphy, I know you're in there, come on answer the door already." She said as she knocked on the door.

Saphy was dreaming about being alone with Phoebe, when Kitty's voice suddenly invaded said dream and eventually woke her up.

Thoroughly annoyed, Saphy stomped over to the door and threw it open.

"What do you want?" Saphy asked.

"I just wanted to know if you were ready to go back to Cj and Phoebe." Kitty replied. "You don't have to be mad."

"No I'm not ready, you just woke me up!" Saphy replied.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know you were asleep." Kitty replied.

"It's morning, what else would I be doing?" Saphy asked.

"wishing you had boobs?" Kitty asked.

"Have you seen my digivolved form?" Saphy asked.

"Well then I bet you wish you could digivolve now." Kitty said.

"I can, you twit." Saphy replied.

"Hey be nice, or I'll tell Cj." Kitty said.

"So?" Saphy replied.

"He'll probably tell Phoebe." Kitty said. "Or Phoebe will be there and hear me anyway."

"So?" Saphy asked. "She doesn't like you as much as you think she does."

"Well how would you know?" Kitty asked.

"You don't think she talks to me about you two?" Saphy replied.

"She told me she wished you and Cj never hooked up so she could just be alone with him again." Saphy continued.

"That's not true, we're sisters now, she loves me." Kitty said.

"She just says that so Cj will be happy." Saphy said. "The only reason she puts up with you is because Cj really loves you and she really loves Cj."

"You're just trying to hurt me because you're jealous, you boobless weirdo." Kitty said as she walked away, no longer interested in continuing the conversation.

"I am not jealous . . . . . . or boobless!" And annoyed Saphy yelled at haer before slamming the door.

-several minutes later-

Phoebe and I finished making love and were just holding each other close.

"That was the best sex since we did those goddesses a few days ago." Phoebe said as she held me tight.

"This was the only sex we've had since then." I pointed out.

"Hmm, you're right, that's very concerning." Phoebe said.

"No, that's halfway normal." I replied.

"I know, that's why it's concerning." Phoebe explained.

"You horny weirdo." I said with a sigh.

"Oh, but you love me." She said.

"I love you because you're very sweet and loving, not because you're a sex-obsessed weirdo." I replied.

"I know, but you enable me anyway." She said.

"Yeah, I do don't I ?" I replied before kissing her softly on the cheek.

"What was that for?" She asked.

"Cause you're my baby girl, and I love you just like you said." I replied.

" Do you think we have time for another round?" She asked.

"I doubt it, they're probably getting up by now." I said as I sat up so I could take a look around. That was when I saw Kitty approaching us.

"Kitty is coming." I said.

"Awwwe, I was hoping we could stay here a bit longer." Phoebe replied.

"Well get your dress on, she's coming." I said as I picked it up off the ground and handed it to her.

"Phoebe!" She cried as she came closer.

"What? Are you ok? Is Saphy ok?" Phoebe asked as we both wondered why she seemed so upset. Did she just now think I was cheating on her?

"Is it true?" She asked without explaining what "it" was.

"What is true?" Phoebe asked.

"What's wrong Kitty Kat, you know I love you babe." I said.

"I know, but does she?" Kitty asked.

"Huh?" Phoebe asked, confused.

Saphy said you told her the only reason you put up with me is because Cj really loves me and you really love Cj." Kitty explained.

"Cj loves both of us. I don't know how, but he does, and I never said that. You must have just said something to annoy her so she's trying to mess with you." Phoebe replied.

"Do you love me?" Kitty asked.

"I like you." Phoebe replied.

"But we're still sisters right?" She asked.

"Sort of, yeah. We just have to get adjusted, we're getting there." Phoebe replied.

"You want to come snuggle for a bit?" I asked.

"I'm not sure she can fit in the sleeping bag with us." Phoebe replied.

"Well let's see if we can squeeze her in." I said.

"Oh ok, come here fluffy butt." Phoebe said, teasingly.

A few minutes later we were all squished in the sleeping bag together and we found out that it was not, in fact, a good idea. It was awkward enough getting Kitty in there with us, it was now going to be more awkward trying to get out.

"Ok this probably wasn't the best Idea. " I said.

"No, no it wasn't." Phoebe replied.

"Can you teleport us out?" I asked.

"No because the bag will come with us and my powers aren't completely back yet, from earlier." Phoebe replied.

"Well, it's kind of hard to breathe, but I got my two favorite ladies right here. Now if I could maybe just slide out, or, Pheebles, you could try to slide out first, you're the smallest." I said.

"I think I can get out, maybe." She said as she started to squirm around.

"You've been having sex haven't you?" Kitty asked as she smelled the air.

"Mhm, it was fun." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles." I scolded her.

"What? She figured it out on her own." She asked.

"I knew she probably would, I just didn't want you to rub it in her face." I said.

"I knew you probably would." Kitty said." It's ok."

"Yeah as long as she's not a jerk about it right?" I said.

"mhm." Kitty agreed.

"Are you forgetting he's my husband?" Phoebe asked.

"Are you forgetting we've been together for twenty years?" I asked.

"I know that, but you never married her." Phoebe said.

"Just stop Pheebles." I replied.

"Fine, I guess I'll just try to get out of here then." She said as she tried to pull herself out of the sleeping bag, eventually she wriggled herself halfway out.

Thankfully we managed to get out of there before anyone else came by, after that we put the sleeping bag away and waited for the others, until we got bored and headed into the town to see what was going on. We didn't notice it much last night, but this town, compared to the last, looked like it had been through a bombing raid, several shops and houses were completely burned to the ground, though a few structures, such as the station and the hotel, were still intact, with seemingly little rhyme or reason as to why. We found the remains of a store that sold rings and other things at one point. Kitty was hopeful she would find a new ring to add to her collection, but sadly they had all sort of melted and congealed into a lump of what I guess was the digital world equivalent of electrum, a mixture of what was the digital equivalent of gold, silver, various gemstones, and possibly other precious metals. The only way we could tell it was a shop was that part of the sign survived. It probably sold other things as well, but nothing else really remained recognizable through the fire, it all either turned to ash or formless, congealed lumps of various substances.

We found the goddesses and Saphy out exploring the town, with Venusmon now wearing a white coat that covered most of her body, as opposed to a towel. Apparently this was part of her normal outfit, but unlike most digimon who wear their clothes all the time, if they have any, that is, she only wears her coat when out in public to avoid seducing everyone she meets, only other god and goddess digimon are able to resist her, as well as high level digimon that specialize in love or seduction techniques, Persiamon and Lilithmon, for example.

Anyway, we approached them to see what was going on.

"Saphy were you being mean to Kitty?" Phoebe asked.

"I just told her the truth." Saphy replied.

"That I just put up with her to appease Cj?" Phoebe said. " That's not the truth and you know it, she's my sister now, and it annoys me that you would say something so mean to her."

"She also said you wish Cj and I never got together." Kitty said.

"Now I know you told me that." Saphy said.

"Well Kitty, sometimes I wish it was just Cj and I still, so what? It doesn't change things. I won't do anything to make him stop loving you." Phoebe hastily explained.

"Well, ok then, I forgive you as long as we are still sister wives." Kitty said.

"Yes we're still sisters, not sister wives though, you're still just out virara." Phoebe replied.

"You should talk to IceLeomon's wives with me they have the best advice." Kitty said.

"Maybe sometime after we get back to the others." Phoebe replied.

"Are we still friends?" Saphy asked.

"Well you're still my digimon so we pretty much have to be." Phoebe replied.

"Do you want to be?" Saphy asked.

"Of course." Phoebe replied. "I like you Saphy, but just don't expect us to ever be as close as Cj and Kitty. If we weren't separated we could've been, but they've been together so long now."

"I get it." Saphy replied.

"We should probably get going." Mervamon said as she approached us." This whole town is empty, I haven't seen another digimon around all morning."

"Maybe they're still asleep." Kitty said.

"Surely somebody would be awake by now." Mervamon said.

"Right, why don't you go get in the mechanorimon, we'll leave in ten. We're all awake, no dark kings around, not much reason to stay here. I think we'll just keep following the rail line, until it either ends or we end up back in familiar territory." I said.

Roughly ten minutes later, we were all packed up and on the move, we kept following the tracks which mostly headed north but occasionally turned to the northeast, that said, this wasn't an ordinary railway by any means, sometimes the tracks would split into multiple parallel tracks for no apparent reason, there were some lines that branched off the main, just to go around in a big circle. If there was a gap in the terrain that would normally require a bridge, the rail line just went over it without any support, defying physics, while we would have to find a place to drive around said gap to continue following the rails on the other side.

The goddesses flew out ahead of us to get a better view and also to keep us from ending up in another situation similar to what happened with Indramon. Before long we were back in the desert. And before noon something interesting happened to break up the monotony. At this time Phoebe was attempting to teach Saphy how to drive.

"Ok Saphy you're doing good, just keep following the tracks, don't worry about the mechanorimon they can fly themselves." Phoebe said.

"Um, I think there's a trailmon coming." Saphy said.

"What?" Phoebe asked as she scanned the track ahead, sure enough, a trailmon was barreling down the rails in the opposite direction at a speed that would have almost certainly derailed a normal train. It was one of the franken variety, pulling several badly damaged passenger cars at a speed too quick to tell if anyone was onboard or not. It had a panicked look in its eyes and was not intent on stopping anytime soon to let us on, it simply barreled passed us at unbelievable speed. The battered cars making a lot of noise, rattling, screeching, and clattering all at the same time.

"What is it running from?" I asked.

"I don't know, should we try to follow it?" Phoebe asked.

"Eh we'll never catch it at that speed." I said though it was hard to see anything while sitting in the back.

"Um, I think it crashed." Kitty said as she looked out the back window.

"Oh I guess we can catch it then." I said as I looked back as well and noticed the huge dust cloud forming near the horizon.

"Really?" Phoebe asked.

"It looks like it from what I can see, turn around." I said.

"Ok Saphy, slow down and turn around." Phoebe said.

"Ok ok." Saphy replied.

The car sharply lurched to the side.

"Gently!" Phoebe exclaimed.

As it turned out, the trailmon was going too fast and just before it hit the horizon it derailed on a curve creating a huge cloud of dust and sliding pretty far away from the track. We came upon the scene a couple minutes later, as survivors were starting to climb out of the cars. The trailmon survived as there was nothing out here for it to hit, but it was noticeably injured, and immobilized. The lack of things for the cars to wrap themselves around also meant that most if not all of the passengers probably survived as well. More shocking was that apparently this had happened before as the passengers were already working together to try to re-rail the train. Which would also explain the damage. The cars were battered pretty bad, but not to the point where they would be unusable, though most of the windows were smashed out, and they also made quite a lot of noise while rolling. Most of the occupants turned out to be golemon and gotsumon, along with some togemon. A few armadillomon, salamon, and palmon were also present. Obviously the larger digimon were working on re-railing the train.

"So what's going on here?" Phoebe asked, breaking the ice while the goddesses decided to keep their distance and remain in the mechanorimon, not wanting to reveal themselves.

"We're heading south to the southern terminal, you would too if you knew what was good for you. You can hop on before we start moving again." One of the gotsumon explained.

"What are you running from?" Phoebe asked.

"Aldamon, he's burning up every village he comes across." Gotsumon said. "We were lucky to get away."

"So there is a dark king after all." Phoebe said.

"Atleast that means we didn't come out here for nothing." I said.

"Where did you last see him?" Phoebe asked.

"You guys can't be serious, he will destroy you!" Gotsumon said.

"Would you just tell us already?" Phoebe asked.

"5 stations up the line, that's where we came from, that's where we saw him last, but that was hours ago, he's probably destroyed our town and moved on by now. We're lucky we had a trailmon hiding in the shed or we would've been destroyed too." Gotsumon replied.

"Thankyou." Phoebe said before teleporting away to inform the goddesses without indicating to anyone what she was about to do..

"Where did she go?" Gotsumon asked.

"Dammit Pheebles." I said as I noticed her sudden disappearance.

I looked around to see where she had teleported off too, more annoyed than worried.

"She does that sometimes. She'll be back." Kitty explained.

"Come on Kitty, I guess we should just get back in the car." I said as I tugged at her arm after I finally spotted Phoebe by the mechanorimon.

"Right, let's go. We can leave her behind and spend the night together." She replied in half-joking manner.

"Yeah, no. That's a horrible idea. Don't be mean to your sister." I replied as we headed back towards the car.

"Oh, right, sorry." She replied.

And just like that we now knew there was definitely a dark king to track down, though he was pretty far away, as all the stations were atleast a few hours or so of traveling apart. And all of them seemed to be more and more damaged until we arrived at the fourth, or what was left of it, as it was almost completely gone. Here we decided to some rest, thinking we would probably catch up to him soon. Everybody camped out that night, the town was completely burned to the ground so there was no hotel or even an empty house to stay at. I slept next to my baby girl again, though Kitty slept nearby, it was just too cramped and awkward to have her in our sleeping bag with us, and Phoebe really wanted me to herself again, even though we didn't do anything due to the lack of privacy. The ground was hard and nearly barren, but we still managed to get some sleep.

The next morning came and we left as soon as everyone was awake enough to do so. We reached the next town by noon, which just like the previous was almost completely burned to the ground, the rails branched out here, and there was at one point a large shed for trailmon to rest in, that was now reduced to ash and globs of glass and chunks of metal rusted and warped beyond recognition. It was like he was getting more destructive with each subsequent village, it used to be enough just to wipe out the population, but now he wasn't satisfied unless he burned the whole place down. Thankfully, this obsession with burning things also gave away which direction he took, as we merely had to follow the burned bushes and underbrush. He also burned through both rail lines leading into town, possibly to prevent another escape via trailmon. That said, the goddesses didn't trust this, and decided to go the other way, just in case. So we made an agreement that we would each go to the next village up the respective line and head to the other one if it wasn't burned down. This wasted a lot of time, especially when I turned out to be right as the next village up our line was burned to the ground, while there's was still intact and was even still inhabited. They took the opportunity to warn the inhabitants and then headed over to the burned out husk of a village we were waiting for them at, with Mervamon in particular feeling disappointed.

That evening, we finally caught up to aldamon and his tiny entourage of meramon, led by a skullmeramon for a lieutenant, a relatively small force for a dark king, barely qualified as a street gang, much less an army. He used to have a larger army, but he subsequently fired half of them, quite literally, for failing to acquire a certain trailmon a few villages back that would have allowed them to make it to the north much faster. In truth, he was about done with his army in general, these few were all that remained and they were all too terrified to defy him.

"Sir we're being followed." The skullmeramon said to him when he noticed us.

"Take care of them." Aldamon replied. "I must continue north, they're not worth my time."

They stayed back, while Aldamon continued to walk forward, wanting to keep moving, but not badly enough to start running apparently. This didn't work at all as the goddesses easily cut him off before getting out of the mechanorimon.

"Hmm, former goddesses, I stand corrected, with your data I'll be all powerful." He said.

"Cocky little dark king aren't you? We aren't like Ophanimon, we aren't just going to hide and make humans do our bidding." Mervamon replied as she assumed a fighting stance alongside Dianamon.

"You're going to pay for what you did to those villages." Dianamon said.

Venusmon threw off her coat, but being a dark king, aldamon wasn't as susceptible to her powers as some, She assumed her place as support, behind the other two.

-Meanwhile-

"King Aldamon informed us to not let you pass." Skullmeramon said to Phoebe, the digibabes, and I.

"Wow, we went from fighting whole armies to what is this? Five, Six guys?" I asked.

"And they're all fiery so I bet Saphy can take them down all by herself." Phoebe said.

"What? Pheebles." Saphy replied.

"Go on and digivolve already you need the practice. I'll step in if you get in trouble." Phoebe said.

"Kitty make sure Cj doesn't get himself hurt."

"Pheebles." I protested.

"Oh it's just 6 guys and Saphy needs the experience, it will be allright." Phoebe said. "Just relax."

Saphy went and digivolved into Oceanamon.

"Quit insisting I'm always going to get hurt." I said.

"Yeah, he doesn't." Kitty backed me up.

"That's because you're so good at keeping him safe sister." Phoebe said.

"You stop lying." Kitty said.

"Pheebles, I know you just want me to be safe, but come on, even Kitty knows you were just trying to bullshit her just then." I said.

"Mhm." Kitty agreed.

"Whatever, let's just see how well Saphy can handle this." Phoebe insisted.

"Fine." I replied.

"Six on one? I like those odds." Skullmeramon laughed. "Go get her boys!"

"Drowning orb!" Saphy said as she created a blob of water and lobbed it at one of the meramon, encapsulating it in the stuff. It fizzled and pretty quickly turned into a data cloud after trying to escape in vain.

Being typical mooks, the others fell just as quickly, and after just a couple minutes only SkullMeramon was left. Saphy used Drowning orb on him, but the water quickly turned to steam allowing him to escape nearly unharmed. From then on the fight got more challenging. Skullmeramon started to use one of his chains as a weapon, putting Saphy on the defensive as she switched to using her water jets to fight back, though it didn't seem to be of much use as most of the water turned to steam before it could even touch him.

"That tickles! This is great. Haha." Skullmeramon said.

"Phoebe this isn't working I can't damage him." Saphy said.

"Find a way." Phoebe replied.

"You know she'd never let me fight like this." I said to Kitty.

"Saphy can revive herself you can't." Phoebe pointed out.

"You know she'll lose a lot of data if that happens though." Kitty said.

"What?" Phoebe asked.

"She might even lose the ability to digivolve." Kitty said.

"Well, now you tell me." Phoebe replied.

"Well you know you can back her up at any time." I said.

"No, she got this far on her own, she can finish this guy, I know she can." Phoebe said.

"What do we do Cj?" Kitty asked.

"We'll just stay out of this, she has that look in her eye, she won't change her mind." I said.

"But what if Saphy gets hurt?" Kitty asked.

"Phoebe won't let her lose, don't worry about it." I said.

"Mhm, I just don't want to cut in unless things start looking bad. She's holding her own for now." Phoebe said.

"Don't cut in you might get hurt." I said.

"Not as bad as you would." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah, but you can't be revived after just a few minutes, I can be revived after several hours." I said.

"Cj be quiet I'm trying to watch to make sure Saphy doesn't need me." Phoebe snipped at me, not wanting to continue the argument.

"Ok fine." I said.

Meanwhile, Aldamon was finding Mervamon and Dianamon a lot more challenging than he thought they would be. Their refusal to die was beginning to piss him off, while Venusmon, sweet beautiful Venusmon, was being extremely distracting, part of him wanted to destroy her, and the other part felt very strange, as he was slowly falling in love with her, due to her powers, but as a dark king, her fate would be sealed as soon as he could dispose of the other two, while he was highly resistant to her charms, a lot more than Phoebe or I were atleast, he wasn't immune.

From Venusmon's point of view, this love obviously wasn't reciprocated, she was just as determined as the others to destroy him, and he was far from the only digimon to ever fall in love with her, she was the goddess of love after all. His growing feelings for her was merely how she aided the others in defeating him.

As the fight went on Aldamon found it increasingly difficult not to look at her, and this continued until it started to compromise his ability to defend against the other two and he started getting hit, which would cause him to temporarily regain his composure, only to lose it again minutes later. They were wearing him down, albeit slowly.

Anyway, Saphy had her hands full with Skullmeramon and as the minutes passed she didn't seem to be gaining any ground. He was getting better at keeping her on the defensive with his chain of pain, which was about as badass as its name. As if getting hit with a heavy chain wasn't enough, it was a chain burning hot with blue fire and he could manipulate it like it weighed next to nothing. It was amazing that Saphy was able to dodge it as easily as she was. Unfortunately Aldamon was getting pissed so the battle was about to be interrupted as he was suddenly engulfed in a bright white flame.

Phoebe instinctively took my hand and teleported us away as Aldamon unleashed his Solarwind destroyer. Which looked like a supernova and scorched everything in a wide circle around him, including where we had been standing. All the digimon were hit, including skullmeramon, but they survived whilst we would have been incinerated almost instantly.

"Ow, oh crap I think I got flash burned." I said.

"Yep, you're really red, you didn't do anything and you got hurt." Phoebe said.

"Don't you fucking say anything." I said.

"Well you did." She insisted. "Hold on I'll get you some white digiroot cream."

"KITTY!" I yelled, worried whether she survived or not.

"I'm ok!" She replied. "Can I fight him though? That really hurt."

"Go kick his ass." I replied.

"Ok." She replied before digivolving.

Meanwhile, all the Goddesses were on the ground, but aldamon wanted to destroy Venusmon first, to be free of her charms, he prepared to stomp her to death, but Kitty connected with the Nazzar Nail just in time.

"That really hurt you know, you almost killed my tamer husband." She said.

"That would have been the preferable outcome." Aldamon said as he braced his side in pain. The Nazzar nail corroded its way straight through his armor, leaving quite a wound.

"Phantom pain." Kitty continued her assault.

Aldamon hunched over it pain as everything started to hurt, but being a dark king, he was able to fight back.

"Neat trick, but it's going to take more than that." Aldamon replied as he suddenly charged at her with the blades on his arms only for Mervamon to get in his way, while Dianamon approached him from behind.

"We can't let him do that again. We have to end this quickly before he gets the energy to do so." Mervamon said.

Thankfully that particular attack wasn't spammable otherwise we would have been screwed.

-Meanwhile-

Saphy peeled herself off the ground while Skullmeramon approached her. He was already on fire so the flames didn't really hurt him that much while Saphy was sore all over.

"Phoebe, I need help." She yelled.

"nnng, I gotta go help her." Phoebe said as she was trying to turn a piece of white digiroot into a paste.

"Go help her then, I'm not bleeding, it can wait." I said.

"Well don't hurt yourself any further." Phoebe demanded.

"I didn't do anything to hurt myself last time. Now go before Eddie's enflamed cousin over there kills her." I replied.

She quickly withdrew a few shurikens from her digivice and launched them at him,

"Nobody can help you, ow, oh, ahh." Skullmeramon said as he was struck by Phoebe's shurikens.

He braced his side in pain for a moment, buying Saphy more time to recover, which she used to get back up on her feet.

Skullmeramon looked in the direction the shurikens had come from, but by then Phoebe had teleported the two of us to another location.

"What the, that can't be right." Skullmeramon replied as he tried to figure out how the shurikens apparently came out of nowhere.

"You don't know my tamer." Saphy replied, before she prepared to use her staff for the first time. She wasn't skilled with it yet so she refrained from using it, but her water based attacks weren't working on her opponent so she had to find another way to do some damage.

"There, now maybe we have enough time I can heal you." Phoebe said.

"Why don't you just keep an eye on Saphy? " I asked. "You can heal me later, it's not that bad."

"Your face is like a tomato." Phoebe said.

"It doesn't hurt that much." I replied.

"Yeah, well what happens if I try to kiss you?" She said as she squeezed my cheek.

"Ow fuck, Pheebles, stop!" I said.

"Doesn't hurt much huh?" She asked sarcastically.

"It does when you mess with it." I said.

"You have really bad luck." She said with a giggle and a smile.

"So you admit it's not my fault?" I asked.

"Of course it's not, but it doesn't scare me any less." She replied.

"Just keep an eye on Saphy, you can heal me after this." I said as I turned and walked into the distance.

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"I'm going to get further away in case he uses that attack again." I said.

"No stay here so I can keep an eye on you too." She replied.

"Pheebles, he burned me before you could teleport us away." I said.

"You're right, just stay where I can see you." She replied.

"You know acting like my mother is not a turn on, quite the opposite in fact." I said.

"Well I love you!" She replied.

"Phoebe I could really use some help!" Saphy yelled as SkullMeramon managed to wrap his chain around her staff and was attempting to pull it away from her.

Phoebe went to assist her while I retreated to what I was hoping would be a safe distance, from which I watched the battling continue.

Saphy was having a difficult time against SkullMeramon, but Kitty and the goddesses were slowly wearing Aldamon down.

Phoebe threw a few more shurikens at SkullMeramon to disrupt his focus, then teleported out of his sight and used her telekinetic abilities to assist Saphy in getting her staff out of his grasp before teleporting again to stay out of his sight, where she then stood by and watched while Saphy went back to keeping him busy, not giving him any time to look around for her.

Against overwhelming odds, Aldamon eventually grew tired and became less and less able to defend himself against the onslaught of attacks, not to mention Venusmon's beauty, he was very resilient, but eventually he couldn't take anymore and burst into data.

"So I guess we split it four ways?" Mervamon asked.

"No! If you do that he'll possess you!" Kitty warned. "I'll take it, Saphy and I are the only ones that can without that happening."

"Oh really?" Mervamon asked."

"Yes really." Kitty replied." That's why we're the chosen ones."

Skullmeramon, took notice of this and darted over, away from Saphy, to collect Aldamon's data, he absorbed nearly all of his data cloud before Kitty could think to do so/

"What are you doing? Stop! Don't!" Kitty said.

"You'll kill me if I don't." Skullmeramon replied.

Kitty frantically managed to absorb some of the data, but Skullmeramon got most of it. The dark king manifested within him seconds later, taking over his personality and triggering a digivilution into Boltmon, according to the digivice, said digimon then drew it's battleaxe and went completely berserk, taking a swing at Kitty then at Mervamon, and at basically whoever was in his line of sight, it didn't even hesitate to try to attack Venusmon. Because Kitty managed to take a small part of it, partially deleting him, the data was corrupt, thus madness resulted, though there was enough there to keep the evil intentions as well as to complete his physical form.

"I'm going to kill you all!" The boltmon said in a frenzied rage as the girls surrounded him. He was built like the hulk, and his attacks were powerful, but sloppy, with little regard for defence, somehow he was more durable than both Aldamon and Skullmeramon, as he seemed to just shrug off most attacks.

"Sorry you couldn't finish your fight Saphy, I didn't think this would happen." Phoebe said.

"I was losing anyway." Saphy replied.

"Oh, don't be silly." Phoebe replied. "I won't let you lose!"

Kitty got hit, almost instantly degenerated to her persiamon form and even then was too hurt to get back up. Phoebe brought her over to me.

"Why are you so red?" She struggled to ask.

"I got flash burned, from earlier, it's not big deal, let's get you healed." I said.

"I don't think I've ever been hurt this bad before Cj." She said. "I'm sorry if I let you down."

"Hey you're fine, you didn't turn into a data cloud." I said.

"I can't get up." She replied.

"Yeah, well, we'll fix it, don't worry." I said.

"Fuck, I forgot, Phoebe has all the white digiroot." I said as I tried to retrieve some from my digivice, only to realize I didn't have any.

"Fuck. Nnnng this hurts." Kitty replied.

Of course, Phoebe was now fully preoccupied with the battle, joining in on the offensive as well as being a cute little medevac.

"Will it still hurt if you're in the digivice?" I asked.

"Mhm." Kitty said.

"Well I don't know what to tell you Kitty Kat, aside from that I love you and this isn't permanent, so, you'll just have to deal with it until Phoebe isn't busy." I said." I'm kind of in the same boat, but not as bad as you, obviously."

"What boat? I don't see a boat, we're on the ground." She replied.

"I meant we're both hurt right now until Phoebe isn't busy, it's just a saying, there is no boat." I said.

"Oh, it's one of those." She replied.

"Yeah." I said.

"Ooooh I wanna hug you so bad, but I hurt so much." She said.

"Well then just wait you can hug me later." I replied.

The battle continued, it didn't seem to be going too well, Boltmon was a tank. Venusmon was standing on the sidelines as well, unable to do anything to him. Her abilities were purely of a manipulative nature, she wasn't much physically stronger than the average human, and while she had somewhat of a hold on Aldamon, this new being was too deranged to even notice her. So she kept her distance and basically acted as an extra set of eyes for the other goddesses. Phoebe was also distracted, using her shurikens to attack and also supporting Saphy, so I realized I had a chance to turn the tables.

"Kitty stay here and rest I gotta try to help." I said.

"Ok, just don't die on me." She replied.

"I'll try not to." I said as I pulled the obelisk out of the digivice.

I had all the time in the world to line up a shot as they were keeping him busy, so I made sure to get pretty far away from Kitty, to keep her out of his line of sight, then I waited for the right time to get a decent flurry of bullets in, a moment where none of the women were standing near the front of the gun. When said moment came I pulled the trigger, put several rounds into him, immediately getting his attention, he turned and threw his axe at me. I held the gun in front of my face to try to block it. I managed to block it but it was heavy as hell and knocked me on my ass anyway. Before I got back up, he returned to fighting the women with his fist. Surprisingly unlike with most digimon his axe doesn't warp back to him, he actually has to physically come over to wherever it lands and pick it up to retrieve it. So I did the stupid thing and stuck it in the digivice. He froze, as if in pain, and then stared at me with absolute malice. Of course he felt it, it was a part of him after all. He charged towards me, Phoebe, who was wondering what the fuck I was trying to do, took Saphie's hand and teleported in front of me.

"What are you doing? You idiot!" Asked a somewhat angry Phoebe.

"Like it or not you needed my help." I said.

"Yeah well now he really wants you dead." Phoebe replied.

"If you die and upset her I'll kill you again." Saphy said.

"Good luck with that." I replied.

"Saphy shut up, this isn't about you or your feelings for me this is about Cj being an idiot." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles, once again, you're my wife, not my mom." I said.

"That doesn't mean I won't be completely devastated if you die." Phoebe said.

Boltmon began charging towards us.

"We'll talk about this later get back." Phoebe said.

"Hell no." I said as I walked up beside them and opened fire on the charging behemoth.

"Get Back!" Phoebe demanded.

"Stay focused Pheebles!" I replied.

She was pissed at me beyond all measure, but had no time to deal with that at the moment. Boltmon was charging towards us. Saphy opened fire with her water jets. Mervamon and Dianamon were chasing after him.

Phoebe's eyes began to glow purple, but that slowly transitioned to bright blue, which I have never seen her do before as she levitated into the air, surrounding herself with her shurikens circling around her in a ring glowing in a similar blue aura before she launched them at the beast, one by one, almost too fast for the eye to see, one clipped his shoulder, a second embedded itself in his chest, a third struck his thigh, until eventually she stuck all of them in him like he was some sort of pincushion.

"No, a human can't be that strong, what the hell? The others will get you for this!" He said as he fell to his knees before disintegrating into a cloud of data.

Phoebe went unconscious shortly after and fell like a stone, I dropped the gun and caught her. Blood was starting to trickle out of her nose and ears.

"Dammit Pheebles, you get mad at me for it then you take it to eleven." I said.

"Now look what you did, you boil-eye bait." Saphy said.

"Fuck you." I replied.

I brought her over to where Kitty was and layed her down on the grass, I got her digivice and then set to work healing her, she was still unconscious but breathing.

"She's not waking up." Saphy said.

"She will, she's breathing, give it time." I replied.

"She better, or I'm blaming you for this." Saphy said.

"It's not his fault you big blue meany. " Kitty said.

"You're taller than me." Saphy said.

"Whatever, leave him alone." Kitty replied. "The only reason my sister did that is because of how much she loves him, it's not his fault."

"You're not her sister!" Saphy said.

"Saphy shut the fuck up. Go bother someone else." I said.

"Go." I said when she just stood there.

"Is everything ok?" Mervamon asked as she and the other goddesses approached us.

"No everything is not ok." I said." We'll get moving again whenever Phoebe wakes up." I said.

"Are you going to heal yourself?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, after you're healed." I said.

"I'm feeling a lot better." Kitty replied.

"No pain at all?" I asked.

"No." She replied.

"Can you get up?" I asked.

"Do I want to?" She asked.

"You're going to have to at some point yes." I replied.

"I can." She said as she stood up.

"Allright good, now we just have to wait for Pheebles." I said.

"Aren't you going to heal yourself?" Kitty asked.

"When Phoebe wakes up." I said.

"Why?" Kitty asked.

= about an hour later-

The goddesses got bored of waiting and decided to head over to the next village up the line to wait for us there.

"She's still not awake. Congratulations you killed her." Saphy said.

"Can I cut her?" Kitty asked.

"Believe me if we didn't have to waste digiroot on her afterwards I'd say go for it." I replied.

"Hehe." Saphy laughed.

"You know when she wakes up we're going to tell her everything you said while she was out." Kitty replied.

"Well, I uh, I." She tried to say something in return.

"We won't even have to she'll read my mind and figure it out on her own." I said, which made Saphy even more nervous as Phoebe opened her eyes and took a look around.

"RRRRR CJ." Phoebe said before getting up and using her powers to force me onto the ground so she could crawl on top of me again. I had no idea what the hell she was trying to do so I didn't try to defend myself.

She was still pissed, but she was also still very tired, and using so much of her power so soon sent waves of pain through her head.

"Pheebles what the hell?" I asked.

"It hurts, it hurts, it hurts so bad, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow." She said, bracing her head with her hands before bursting into tears, and resting her head on my chest.

"Pheebles!?" I said, unsure what to do as Kitty and Saphy gave very concerned looks.

" Don't .. . . you . . . . . dare . . . . . do . . . . . that . . . . . . again." She said as she very weakly punched me a few times before continuing to cry.

"Don't do that again, hell you made yourself bleed. I was starting to wonder if you were ever going to wake up" I said as I started to cry as well.

" I was just trying to help baby girl you don't need to be so upset and you don't have to be so protective." I said.

"I don't want to lose you again." She said. "Never again, never ever. I can handle these guys see you don't need to put your life at risk."

"Yeah, but it's perfectly ok for you to risk your life?" I asked. "Look none of you could damage him normally, I intervened, I managed to steal his axe, everything was going well then my baby girl decided that her life, more than any other, was worth risking in order to defeat him."

"I'm sorry. There was so much going on." She said.

"How was I supposed to explain that to Charley and Nina?" I asked.

"Well if you get yourself killed how am I supposed to explain that?" She asked.

"Well if we both get killed neither of us have to explain it so why don't we fight together?" I asked.

"Because my children will not be orphans! So you better stop putting yourself in the line of fire." Phoebe replied.

"I can't do that Pheebles." I said. "Not as long as we have things to fight."

"Then we'll have to compromise." She said.

"No, no compromises, I'm not letting you die out there if I can do something about it." I said.

"I don't want you out there where you can die." Phoebe replied.

"Well tough." I said. "If either one of us dies the other won't have the willpower to keep going. So we might as well die together. I don't want to lose you either baby girl. If I lost you it would hurt me just as bad as you losing me."

"Oh Cj." She replied. "My head hurts so much."

"Well we'll take the rest of the day off to rest so, it'll be ok." I said. "We'll find a hotel in the next town, we'll get you cleaned up, it will all be fine." I said.

I wiped the tears from her eyes and held her for a couple minutes as she settled down. Then she softly kissed me before speaking in a different tone.

"Then we can punish Saphy for being a big blue meany and you can show Kitty and I how much you love us."

"Yeah." I replied.

"We're almost the same height Phoebe." Saphy said.

"I really don't care, you were really mean to both my husband and my sister so I don't even want to talk to you until tomorrow." Phoebe said.

"I guess that sounds like a plan if you're up for it by then." I said.

"Mhm, it is." Phoebe replied. "Oh but first we need to fix your tomato face."

"Oh yeah, right." I replied.

"But before that even." She said as she looked at me menacingly.

"What?" I asked before she slapped me on the cheek.

"Ow, what the hell Pheebles? Fuck, dammit, ow, fuck, why?" I asked.

"That's for putting me through all of this." She said.

"Hey, don't hurt him!" Kitty said.

"Its fine, Kitty." I said.

"Saphy don't you dare laugh, I don't want you to say another word to any of us until tomorrow." Phoebe said.

"But Phoebe." Saphy protested.

"No butts, unless it's an emergency." Phoebe replied. "I know you don't like being the fourth wheel, but still, there's no reason to be so mean."

"I thought he killed you!" Saphy said.

"Even if that was the case I still expect you to be nice to them." Phoebe said.

"But Phoebe." Saphy said.

"Be quiet!" Phoebe demanded.

She looked at me for a moment, and then we kissed.

"Let's get you healed, you tomato-faced weirdo." She said.

"Right." I replied.

=ten minutes later-

Phoebe healed me and then we were on our way to the next town.

"So the goddesses are already there?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah they got bored waiting for you to wake up." I said.

"Oh ok." Phoebe replied.

"Please don't do that again Pheebles, unless you absolutely have to." I said.

"I'll try not to." She replied.

"I finished 3 dark kings all by myself." She said a few moments later.

"Yeah, at the risk of your life. You were bleeding from your ears baby girl, that's not a good sign." I said.

"That explains why my head still hurts." She said.

"Mhm, no more of that." I replied. "You scared me, you scared Saphy."

"And me." Kitty said.

"Yeah, you scared all of us." I said.

"I'll make it up to both of you when we get a room." She said.

"Yeah well, if you're not feeling good enough by then don't worry about it." I said.

"Thanks, but you deserve it, not just for being brave, but for putting up with me I guess." She said.

"Heh?" I asked.

"I beat you up pretty bad." She said.

"You slapped me one time." I said.

"But all those punches." She said.

"I didn't even feel those.' I replied.

"Wow I can't punch at all can I?" She asked.

"Were you trying to hurt me?" I asked.

"I was upset, I didn't mean too." She replied.

"Eh forget about it, I love you." I said.

"I love you." She replied.

-about a minute later-

"Did it hurt when I pushed you down?" She asked.

"A little bit." I replied.

"I'm so sorry." She replied.

"It's ok." I replied. "Just settle down. Don't do it again if there's ever a next time."

"Why would there be? We'll fight together from now on like before from now on I promise." She said.

" You sure you don't want me to clean you up a little bit?" Saphy asked.

"Don't touch me and be quiet, Cj will help me clean up once we find a hotel." She said. "And we'll be naked in the shower together, and then we'll have some fun with Kitty while you sit in your very own room all alone thinking about what you could've said differently."

"Do you need more white digiroot for your head just to be safe baby girl?" I asked.

"No, it just hurts because I'm really tired." She replied.

"Ok." I said.

Saphy was quiet the rest of the way there. Phoebe was not pleased with her behavior at all, the fact that she was extremely tired didn't help her mood any.

We found the hotel at the next town, got another oversized room, and got in the shower together in a shower that could've easily fit a dozen or so people into it so I could clean her face up a bit, not that she couldn't do it herself, but she just wanted me there, of course cleaning her up took all of about a minute or two.

"There, I think that's all of it baby girl. Never again." I replied.

"Never again." She agreed.

"So now what do you wanna do?" I asked.

"I don't know, my head still hurts." She replied. "I know what I said earlier, but I don't think I can do this tonight, I'd really love too, but."

"It's allright Pheebles, you're way more important." I said. "If you want to just lie down and relax, that's fine."

"Why don't you spend the night with Kitty?" She asked.

"Because I'd rather spend the night with you, even if you're tired and grumpy." I replied.

"Grumpy?" She asked.

"The way you were with Saphy earlier." I said.

"Yeah, I guess I was a little mean to her, and you. I'm so sorry." She said.

"Ohh, it's fine, I'm just glad you woke up in the first place." I said.

We got out of the shower and I layed with her in bed for about an hour or so before Kitty came over on her own.

"What's going on Kitty kat?" I said after opening the door.

"Is everything ok?" She asked.

"Everything is fine, she's just resting for a bit. We're probably not going to do anything tonight, just so you know." I said.

"I get it, she needs to sleep." She replied.

"Right." I agreed before she moved forward to hug me.

"What's this about?" I asked.

"It's a goodnight hug." She replied. "Since we can't do anything else tonight."

"Oh, ok." I replied.

"You can let her in Cj, it's fine." Phoebe said from the comfort of the bed.

"Allright, you want to come in?" I asked.

"Mhm." Kitty replied as she entered the room.

"Hi Phoebe." She said.

"Hi Kitty." Phoebe replied. "Why don't you spend the night with us I think Cj will enjoy your company."

"Of course." Kitty happily agreed.

"Pheebles." I scolded her.

"It's her duty as our virara." Phoebe replied.

"You just want us to fool around in front of you?" I asked.

"If you feel like you need to then yes." She replied.

"Can we?" Kitty asked.

"No, she needs to sleep." I replied. "We can all snuggle though."

"Oh Cj you don't have to restrain yourself for my sake. I mean I appreciate it, but still. If you want to play with Kitty, you have my blessing, but Saphy is not allowed in here." Phoebe said.

"I can't do it Pheebles." I said.

"Well ok then, let's just snuggle." She replied.

"Ok." I replied.

"Maybe in the morning if you're feeling better." I said.

"Maybe." Phoebe replied.

About ten minutes later-

"I miss tv." I said, bored and not really feeling that tired. There was no tv in the room at all, and even if there was it wouldn't work anyway, because there were no tv stations in the digital world.

"Me too." Kitty agreed.

"Yeah." Phoebe agreed.

"What would you be watching right now if we could?" Phoebe asked.

"Digimon news? I don't know." I said. "Actually, no you know, if there was a tv station here the dark kings would probably take it over."

"Yeah." Phoebe replied.

"Why?" Kitty asked.

"Because they could put something on that says, hey look here's a safe place you can go to be safe from the dark kings, and then a bunch of digimon show up, and the dark kings destroy them all and take their data."

"So they would all come here?" Kitty asked.

"No just some place they decided was a good place to lure and ambush a bunch of digimon." I said.

"But they're already doing that without the tv." Kitty said.

"Yeah, but with the tv, you could reach a lot more of them." I said. "They could bring digimon to them instead of having the travel from village to village you could lure many, many digimon at once just by broadcasting program." I said.

"What?" Kitty asked as it completely went over her head.

"They could also use it to make us look bad." Phoebe said.

"Yeah that too." I agreed.

"How?" Kitty asked.

"They could say we killed a bunch of innocent digimon for no reason, and make up a bunch of other lies to make us and Ophanimon look bad." I said.

"Ophanimon doesn't really sound all that great to begin with Cj, now that we know how she came into power." Phoebe said.

"True." I replied.

"So would use it to be even meaner than they already are." Kitty said.

"Yeah, you get it." I replied.

"What if we used it?" Kitty asked.

"Well we kind of have other things to worry about than running a tv station." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe agreed.

" But if for some reason we had the resources to do so while trying to fight the dark kings, we'd use it to make ourselves look good, and spread awareness about the dark kings and the evil things they have done and why most digimon should just stay away from them." I said.

"So why don't we do that then again?" Kitty asked.

"Because there are no working tvs or tv stations and like I said we have other things to worry about." I said, knowing full well she was probably going to ask something like that.

"Did she really just ask that?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, welcome to the last 20 years of my life Pheebles." I said.

"You poor baby." She replied.

"Hey, I know I can be pretty dumb sometimes, but CJ is not a baby, don't call him one." Kitty said.

"Ehhhh, she tries though." I said as I pulled her close. "Don't you Kitty Kat?"

"What do I try?" She asked.

"You try to love and care about him, and I've seen it.' Phoebe said.

"Because I do love and care about him." Kitty replied.

"I know, and it's a good thing, that's why you're our virara and my sister. I trust you with him." Phoebe said. "So if you feel the need to fool around go ahead, just keep quiet."

"I'd rather just do whatever I can to make you comfortable baby girl." I said.

"Ok, then just hold me and keep talking." She said.

"That I can do." I replied.

"Then after I fall asleep you can take her back to her room and have some fun." She said.

"Well we gotta get you to sleep first you horny little weirdo." I said.

"It won't be too long." She said. "Since you're here with me."

"and yet you want me to leave as soon as you're asleep." I said.

"Well that way you won't have to go without." She said.

"I think I can make it one night without. I don't care about me right now I care about you." I replied.

"Well about Kitty?" Phoebe asked.

"She's our virara, you're my wife, and she didn't just over exert herself to the point where blood started coming out of her ears." I said.

"I can go without too." Kitty said.

"Yeah, see." I replied.

"Awwe, you're both so sweet." Phoebe replied. "Just do what you want as long as it doesn't wake me up, no more talking I need to sleep."

"Yes you do." I agreed.

"Shh." She replied before closing her eyes.

"Kitty go get the lights." I said.

"Ok." Kitty replied as she got up to turn the lights off.

I held her for a while, I'm not sure when she fell asleep exactly, but it was within the hour. Neither I nor Kitty were as tired as her as it was still pretty early, so we eventually realized how stupid we were being and quietly snuck out of the room without waking her.

"So now what Cj, we can go back to my room if you want." Kitty suggested.

"Maybe we should go try to find the goddesses." I replied. "They're probably out at the market or something."

With a town this size there wasn't that many places they could possibly be. There was an open air market, the town hall, the hotel, a cafeteria, and a few dozen houses of various sizes, some were tiny shacks for tiny digimon, others were as comically large as some of the hotel rooms. The digital world's economy centered mostly around data, which was used as currency, and can also be used to make digimon stronger. Then there's a few renewable resources, such as wood, sand, dirt, and various metals that can be used to make furniture and other small objects in the crafting machines, finding these crafted objects for sale is kind of unusual. The crafting machines can also make a few basic hand tools, hardware, and construction materials for buildings (wooden planks, hammers, nails, bricks, etc) Then there are weapons and clothing, most of which are unique to specific digimon, the crafting machines are strangely unable to craft them from whatever materials would make sense to do so, and they can only be bought off of a digimon that has them. Though said digimon can effectively manufacture them through a sort of exploit. If a mummymon sold its obelisk, for example, it could de-digivolve back to its previous form, and then if it is able to absorb a substantial amount of data, upon digivolving again it would then gain a second obelisk, which it could then sell again and repeat the process, as long as it has a good starting capital of data. The same goes for clothing, though, as most digimon clothes are pretty much tailored made for specific digimon, most digimon clothing isn't particularly valuable, except for things like hats, hats can be crazy expensive. Most buildings are constructed out of wood in a primitive colonial looking style, with construction quality being highly variable, after all, not every digimon is a competent architect. Most houses are only one room, though some can get way more elaborate than that, particularly smaller digimon that may build multi-story complexes the size of a regular house. Unlike anomalous structures such as the big city, which exist because of a data anomaly, these buildings fully respond to physics and can be destroyed by normal means.

Anyway, Kitty followed me out of the hotel as I went to look for the goddesses. Instead we found a large crowd of digimon gathered around something.

"I take it this has something to do with venusmon doesn't it?" I asked as we noticed the crowd, I looked in the opposite direction to avoid catching a glimpse of her, not wanting to join said crowd.

"I don't know, maybe."

"Hey, there you are, you finally came." Mervamon said as she came towards us, with Dianamon following her, not wearing her armor oddly enough.

"Oh crap, not this again. Dammit Venusmon." Mervamon said.

"Is she what they're all looking at?" I asked.

"Yep. This isn't the first time this has happened." Mervamon replied. "I guess she got hot."

"Hotter than she already was?" I asked.

"Not that kind of hot idiot." Mervamon replied.

"Either that or she was trying on another coat." Dianamon added.

"Yeah, it's possible." Mervamon said. "She was supposed to stay at the hotel."

-meanwhile-

"Could you all please just get out of the way so I could just by this coat and leave?" Venusmon asked as she looked down at a large, dark indigo colored coat belonging to an unknown digimon.

"You can just have it beautiful." The shopkeeper replied.

"Oh no, I could never." Venusmon said.

"She's so pretty." Some random digimon said in the crowd.

"I can't stop staring." Said another.

"I hope she notices me." Said yet another.

The other goddesses tried to reach her, but the crowd was too thick.

"Well Kitty you might have to help her out." I said.

"Right." Kitty agreed.

She digivolved then used her powers to get the crowd to look at her instead, breaking Venusmon's hold over them. This allowed her to buy her coat and escape, we caught up with her back at the hotel.

"So what happened this time?" Mervamon asked.

"I started to feel warm so I slipped out of one of my coat sleeves, and before I realized what I was doing they were already starting to gather around." Venusmon said, now wearing her new coat which covered her up even more.

"Ha, knew it." Mervamon replied. "Anyway, you two, where's the rest of your group?"

"Phoebe is asleep, I don't know where Saphy is, Phoebe's not very happy with her though." I said.

"I'm not either." Kitty added.

"Yeah she kind of, said some things." I said.

"What kind of things?" Mervamon asked.

"Just some really mean things." I said.

"Mhm." Kitty agreed.

"Ok then, well, are we leaving here tomorrow or what?" Mervamon asked.

"Probably, now that the southern dark king is gone we need to reunite with the rest of our group back west. They're supposed to be heading north, through the forest, while we went south so we wouldn't get trapped between two dark kings up north. Where there is atleast 3 more of them. Just in case Aldamon had a lot more than just half a dozen guys.

"Do they usually have more than that?" Dianamon asked.

"Oh hell yeah, usually hundreds, I'm surprised he had so few." I said. "In other words, that was a cake walk, don't expect the rest to be that easy."

"Good I was hoping for more of a challenge." Mervamon replied.

"Mhmmm." Dianamon agreed.

Where's your armor?" I asked Dianamon.

"Well I figured if people figured out we were the actual goddesses, it could get us some unwanted attention, Dianamon is posing as a human, and I'm posing as her digimon partner, just a normal mervamon.

"And venusmon?" I asked.

"She's just some lady in a coat." Mervamon replied. "She usually tries to stay out of public places, I don't know why she decided to go out on her own today."

"Staying at the hotel was boring. Besides, you know I've been trying to find a better coat for quite some time." Venusmon said.

"Well you could've told us to look for one for you, it's not like we have much else to do." Mervamon said." Anyway so how do we get a digivice?"

"You don't, you're not chosen, and I don't think Ophanimon will let you be." Kitty said.

"Oh so she controls who gets one and who doesn't?" Mervamon asked.

"Mhm." Kitty replied.

"Well we're screwed then." Mervamon said.

"Well not really, nobody knows what she looks like without her armor and well most of them think Phoebe is human, they shouldn't have any problems believing she is human." I said.

"She doesn't smell human." Kitty pointed out.

"Well not everyone can smell like you Kitty Kat." I replied.

"Eh nobody will notice." Mervamon said.

"So are you going to engage in the ritual tonight?" Mervamon asked.

"I don't know. What ritual." Kitty said.

"That's not even a remotely appropriate question." I said.

"What is she even talking about?" Kitty asked.

" She means sex Kitty, remember?" I replied.

"Oh, yeah, well I still don't know are we going to? I'd like too." She cutely said.

"I don't know, it's too early for that right now." I replied.

"Well if you were we were wondering if we could join you?" Mervamon asked.

"No, you can't sorry, we don't have Phoebe's permission." Kitty said.

"That's right." I agreed.

"Oh well, too bad." Mervamon replied. "There goes our evening."

"I miss Olympos, there was so much stuff to do and see." Dianamon said.

"Yeah, way more than here." Mervamon agreed as they walked away.

"Phoebe is going to go crazy when she finds out about that exchange." I said.

"Why would you tell her?" Kitty asked.

"Kitty, I've explained this several times, it doesn't matter if I tell her or not, she'll read it out of my mind eventually." I said.

"So what are we going to do tonight then?" Kitty asked,

"I'll think about it, I'm not really in the mood at the moment, Phoebe almost died allright?" I said.

"Yeah, I understand, I kind of feel that way too, when she started bleeding like that." She replied.

"Yeah, you get it, you're such a good girl, I swear if this were reversed, Phoebe would be like, No we're doing this it'll be fun don't worry." I said, poorly imitating her voice. Causing Kitty to laugh a little bit.

"Yeah." She replied.

"Look Kitty Kat, you have your issues, she has hers, but I love you both the same." I said.

"Sure." She replied.

"She understands more of what I have to say, and you're just easier to talk to."

"I know you love her more, you can stop pretending." Kitty said.

We headed back to her room and just kind of sat on the bed, bored.

"Fuck, it's still too damned early to go to bed." I said.

"Mhm. You know what we can do to pass the time." Kitty replied.

"We can punish Saphy." I said." No, Phoebe might not like that."

"Phoebe never said we could." Kitty agreed.

"True." I agreed.

"I wonder if I just looked into your eyes if Venusmon could have sex with me, in your other form I mean." I said.

"You're not having sex with anyone but me tonight, it's either me or nobody." Kitty said.

"I know, just some other time I mean." I said. "Well, I guess we can play around a little bit. Nothing better to do."

"Really?" She asked.

"Yeah come here Kitty Kat." I replied as I pulled her into a hug.

"You give good hugs." I said.

"That's all you want is a hug?" She asked.

"We can do more, don't worry, but we got plenty of time so we might as well take it slow." I said right before somebody knocked on the door.

"What the?" I asked.

"Is it the goddesses again?" Kitty asked. "Or Saphy."

"No it's just Mervamon." I said as I opened the door.

"What is it?" I asked.

"You need to come outside now Saphy is going berserk." She said.

"What why?" I asked.

"Just come outside." She said.

So we followed her out of the hotel where Saphy was dancing around the town square, naked, completely drunk, her clothes on the ground beside her, a few random digimon were watching her, but it was late enough that most had gone home at this point. Mervamon and Dianamon were trying to keep the crowd from getting too close.

"Oh no, it's the jackasses that made my tamer hate me." She said when she saw us.

"She doesn't hate you." I replied. "Aside from that how did you get so drunk?"

"Cabbage juice, silly boil-eye bait." She replied.

"I didn't think it could do that." I said.

It could replicate alcoholic beverages, however usually they would be alcoholic in taste only. The cabbages and their juice typically have the same nutritional value no matter what they taste like. Which is tailored to the needs of the individual who bites into it first, though that mattered little in the digital world where nutrition meant next to nothing. In other words it was essentially the perfect food. If you were ok with eating everything in the same form factor as a cabbage leaf. Somehow Saphy managed to make it produce something genuinely alcoholic, something none of the rest of us had been able to do yet. They don't even spoil or ferment, so that wasn't an option either. Devon Co had a field day running experiments on them, but could not find a way to reproduce their effects. They also only grow in a digital world, planting them in a normal reality does not result in anything aside from making them significantly dirty, they don't mix well with normal food and like most objects in the digital world contain no identifiable elements, compounds, or chemicals. Instead, like everything in the digital world, including digimon themselves, their atomic structure consist entirely of particles that are determined by complicated interactions of quantum mechanics and unfathomable amounts of computer code in a way that only a handful of supremely powerful beings actually understand, beings like presumably deusmon itself, even god level digimon, such as Ophanimon, have barely even scratched the surface of it.

"Maybe it's because she was sad?" Kitty asked.

"Maybe." I replied.

"How long has she been out here?" I asked.

"We just noticed her on the way back from the café." Mervamon said. "She was spraying water at everyone."

"Did she kill anybody?" I asked.

"No, we've been protecting them." Mervamon replied.

"Oh yeah I forgot I can do that, take this jackasses." She said as she attempted to attack us, but given her current state, she missed us by quite a bit and ended up spraying a passing greymon in the face.

"What was that for?" He asked.

"Aw what's the matter you big dummy can't take any water?" Saphy replied.

" Let's see how you can take fire." Greymon replied.

"Don't!" I yelled, but it was too late, he already launched his attack. A nova blast, which was a large fireball that seemed to be disproportionately powerful.

It hit Saphy head on, knocking her over, but, as she was a significantly higher level than some random greymon, she just got right back up.

"You're going to have to do better than that dummy." She said.

"Go home! Don't attack again." Kitty said, threatening the greymon with her claws. Surprisingly, despite the greymon being significantly larger than her, it worked.

"Saphy go back to your room." I said.

"No fuck you." She replied.

"Wait until Phoebe hears about this." Kitty said.

"You wouldn't dare." Saphy replied.

"Or what, you'll do this again?" I asked.

"J'll kill you!" She replied.

She tried to attack us a few more times unsuccessfully, and pretty weakly as well, she wasn't using anywhere near her full strength. It was enough for Kitty to get pissed though, which doesn't happen very often, but is usually not a good thing when it does because that's when her dark side starts to show, so I had to end this quick before she seriously hurt her.

"You think you can control her long enough to atleast get her into her room?" I asked.

"I can try." Kitty replied before digivolving.

"I can digivolve too." Saphy said, only to find that she couldn't concentrate enough to digivolve in her current state.

" Maybe not." She said moments later.

"Darkness love, get dressed and go to your room." Kitty said barely a second after she finished digivolving.

"No." Saphy said.

"What?" Kitty replied.

"Fuck I guess she's so drunk she can't even concentrate enough for that to work." I suggested.

"Well now what do we do?" Kitty asked.

"Get wet." Saphy replied as she attempted to spray water at her and missed once again.

"Saphy, come on, don't be like this." I said. "We get it, you feel like a fourth wheel."

"I was doing good, she was happy, but then I screwed it all up!" Saphy replied.

"Yeah well, it can't be all sunshine and rainbows." I said.

"But it can be all rain!" She replied. As she attempted to attack me once again, which I avoided by just taking step to the side.

"This isn't going to make things any better." I said.

"Yeah, but it can't make it much worse." She replied.

"Let's just go back inside. She's just going to have to sort this out on her own." I said to Kitty.

"Nooo!" Kitty said.

"I don't know what else to say to her." I said.

"I dunno, but we can't just let her run around and spray people." Kitty replied.

"True." I agreed.

"Come on Kitty fight me." Saphy said.

"Why? We're on the same team." Kitty replied.

"I know I can beat your dumb ass." Saphy said.

"When you're too drunk to digivolve?" I asked as I grabbed Kitty by the arm to keep her from charging at her. "She'll cream you."

"Please just let me go." Kitty said.

"No, you can't fight her Kitty kat." I said.

"Then I guess one of the goddesses will have to do instead." Saphy replied.

"Saphy just go to your room." I said.

"No, not until I've redeemed myself." Saphy said as she looked towards mervamon who was turning away passers by.

"Mervamon let's fight!" She said as she attempted to spray water at her to get her attention.

"In your current state? No way!" Mervamon replied.

"Fine then, Dianamon?" Saphy asked.

"No, go back to your room and cover yourself up." Dianamon replied.

"Nobody likes me, but nobody wants to fight me." Saphy said.

"Phoebe is just mad at you, it doesn't mean she doesn't like you, and she probably won't be mad at you by tomorrow either, she never stays mad very long. And it takes a hell of a lot more than just a few words to make her hate you. She's a horny little weirdo but she's pretty kind once you get passed that." I said.

She turned away from us and started to stumble down the street.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"I can't sleep in the same building as the rest of you." She replied.

"Atleast put some clothes on." I said.

She picked her swimsuit up off the ground and continued to stumble along.

"We can keep an eye on her if you want." Mervamon said.

"Yeah why don't you? Phoebe has gone through enough right now, last thing we need is for her to wake up tomorrow and us not knowing where the hell Saphy is." I said as Saphy turned around.

"I changed my mind." Saphy drunkenly announced.

"Good." I replied.

"Now get dressed." Kitty added.

"I will when I get back to my room." Saphy replied.

"Why don't you follow her and make sure she makes it up the stairs. I'll see you back in the room later." I said to Kitty.

"Why don't you come with me?" She asked.

"Allright fine." I said.

"Mervamon, Dianamon, see you tomorrow maybe." I said as I started to follow Kitty back to the hotel.

"Yeah, maybe." Mervamon replied.

We made sure Saphy made it up to her room without slipping and falling down the stairs, and then we returned to the room we were going to share for the night.

"She must really love Phoebe to get that upset." Kitty said.

"Ehh I think she's just lonely, you know what she said she thinks Phoebe is too crazy for her, and she kind of made everyone mad and Zari and the newbies aren't around for her to talk to." I said.

"Kitty, I have to ask, are you sure you don't just want to ditch this Virara thing and be my wife along side Phoebe?" I asked.

"Cj I completely shattered the last guy that wanted to marry me so I could be with you. He was a good guy, you know it, I know it, and I'll never forgive myself for that, but Aranea was gone, you were hurt, and you needed me more than he ever would. There was a time when I wanted to marry you, but, I think we're all better off if I'm just your virara. " She said.

"You know Phoebe isn't perfect right? I mean look at how we first met, what she did was so close to cheating, so what she's smarter than you, she has more useful skills. Hell I'd pick her over you if I had to do so, but, I don't deserve either of you, so what's wrong with you having something good that you don't deserve?"

"What would change though?" Kitty asked.

"Phoebe would have a lot less control over us." I said. "I'd get to call you my wife, you'd get to say your my wife. "

"She's smarter, she should have that control. And you can call me your wife as long as she's not around." Kitty replied.

"Well yeah." I said, never really intending too.

"And I'm starting to like her and she pretty much lets us have all the sex we could possibly want so. I'm fine with this." She said.

"If you say so." I said.

"And if anything happens to her you just get a ring and I'll marry you." She said.

"Sounds good." I replied.

"Just be sure it has rubies no diamonds." She replied.

"Right." I agreed.

"Now which form do you want me to be in first tonight?" She asked.

"I think I'll just lay down, close my eyes and let you surprise me." I said.

"Mmm, ok." She agreed.

We made love, fell asleep, got up sometime the next morning and went to check on Phoebe.

"Kitty why don't you go check on Saphy I'll take things from here." I said, as Phoebe began to wake up.

"Ok." She kissed me very sensually on the lips at about the same time Phoebe opened her eyes.

"Oh you're already up." She said after looking around for a moment, seemingly confused before realizing the first she saw of us that day was me kissing her.

"Allright Kitty, I let you have him last night it's my turn now." Phoebe said.

"I'm just warming him up for you sister." She said before leaving.

"Goodmorning baby girl." I said after she left. "Feeling better?"

"Mhm." She replied.

"Good." I said.

"You have fun with Kitty last night?" She asked.

"Yeah a little bit, nothing special." I said.

"We got so bored." I said.

"I see." She replied.

"That's fine as long as you come with me into the shower right now." She said as she got up.

"Of course baby girl." I said. "But you need to know about Saphy."

She looked at me for a moment to read my mind.

"We'll deal with that later, let's have a fun morning first." She said.

"OK why don't you come here then?" I asked. "We'll start out here."

"Ok as long as we end up in the shower." She said.

"We will." I said.

"We have to wash Kitty off of you." She playfully said.

"We gotta wash her off so we can put you on huh?" I asked.

"Mhm." She replied before I pulled her close and we locked lips.

I layed her back down on the bed before going straight for her panties.

"Oh Cj what do you think you're doing? " She asked.

"I gotta make up for all the fun I had with Kitty last night." I said as I pulled down her panties. "and besides your cute little feet don't smell when you're all wet."

"They probably don't smell now, they're cold." She said.

"They do a little bit." I said as I took a moment to kiss them before removing her panties.

"And besides I need to get my nails repolished, it's almost all worn off." She said as I spread her legs open so I could get to her sweet little snatch.

"Well as cute as your feet are you know that's not why I just took your panties off." I said.

"I know." She replied.

"Do what you want Cj. Just keep your clothes on until we get in the shower." She said.

"Ok, but you're going to be naked before that." I said.

"I know. I'm all yours." She replied.

I went down on her until her breasts were at their full size, then I worked my way up before freeing those puppies from her night gown.

"Love you baby." I said after I stripped her naked and gave her breasts the same love, care, and attention I gave the rest of her.

"Are we going to get in the shower now? I'm naked, I'm ready, I love you." She asked.

"Yeah, let's go." I replied.

I kissed her once more on the lips and then we got up and headed to the shower. And within minutes we ended up making love on the floor of it, as it really was that big, big enough that large digimon such as greymon could walk in without any discomfort, it was basically a whole separate room, some rooms had more normal sized showers, but so far we always seemed to get the big rooms, even though we didn't really ask for them. Considering most digimon were the size of children though, I guess we might have been considered big.

Meanwhile, Kitty went to check on Saphy, who was lying down in her own shower, still naked with warmish water running onto her, she was awake, but just barely, and hungover as well.

"Hehe, you're still naked." Kitty laughed when she realized.

"Shut up." Saphy replied.

"Oh relax, I've been in your position so many times before I don't even remember how many times." Kitty said. "Once I woke up to some guy yelling at me to get out of the dumpster so they could empty it."

"Did you feel this alone?" Saphy asked.

"Um, probably, I was probably between boyfriends at the time." Kitty replied. "I don't really remember it was a long time ago."

"Did you get naked and dance around in the street?" Saphy asked.

"Not that time." Kitty replied.

"So you've done it before?" Saphy asked.

"A few times." Kitty shyly admitted.

"You boil-eye bait." Saphy replied.

"What does that even mean?" Kitty asked.

"It's a legless, cartilaginous marine predator." Saphy said, basically the universal descriptor of anything comparable to a shark.

"A legless what?" Kitty asked.

"It's a fish with sharp teeth and these huge bubble eyes." Saphy replied.

"Does it taste good?" Kitty asked.

"It's ok, but the squid people I spent the last few decades with were deeply afraid of it, It's aggressive and their bodies are soft and squishy so if it gets a hold of them they can't really do anything about it unless they have a weapon. They have squads of trained warriors whose soul purpose is to hunt them down and destroy them so they don't end up in heavy populated areas. Did you get any of that?" Saphy said.

"I got the fish part." Kitty replied.

"Ugh, you're making my head hurt worse than it already was." Saphy replied.

"Sorry." Kitty replied.

"Where's Phoebe?" Saphy asked.

"Probably screwing Cj right now." Kitty said.

"Yeah, that makes sense." Saphy replied as she awkwardly managed to get on her knees.

"Where are my clothes?" She asked.

"I think they're on the bed." Kitty replied.

"Ok, good." Saphy replied as she staggered out of the shower and slowly and awkwardly dressed herself.

"I guess we should just wait until they come here." Kitty said while she was busy getting dressed.

"We? There is no we, go back to your room Kitty. I need to get dressed." Saphy asked.

"Oh come on, you just said you were lonely." Kitty replied.

"Yeah and I feel even lonelier when I'm with you." Saphy said.

"How is that even possible?" Kitty asked.

"I don't even know but that's how it works. Please just go." Saphy said.

"Fine whatever you big blue meany." Kitty replied as she stormed out of the room, feeling rather annoyed.

"For the last time YOU'RE TALLER THAN ME!" Saphy yelled back so Kitty could hear her from the hallway.

"I DON'T CARE, YOU'RE STILL MEAN!" Kitty yelled back.

Kitty went back to her own room to wait for Phoebe and me, but we weren't in any particular hurry.

In fact we weren't even in the shower yet at that point, it was about half an hour later when we finished on the floor of the shower and just held each other close for a while with the water running. It was amazing we didn't hear them.

"Fuck that was fun, I never get tired of you baby." I said.

"I never get tired of you." She replied.

"I fucking love you, you kinky little gardevoir." I said.

"I'm not that little for a gardevoir." She said.

"Well you're shorter than me." I said.

"Not by that much." She replied. "You're just used to being with Kitty since she's so tall."

"Still shorter than me." I said.

"So?" Phoebe asked.

"I'm going to jiggle your marshmallows." I said.

"Oh are you now?" She asked.

"Mhm." I replied before doing so.

"Hehehe, stop." She replied.

"Oh I know you like your jugs jiggled." I said.

"Not when I just want to be held by my loving husband." She replied.

"Oh ok fine." I said.

"Thankyou." She replied.

"Can I kiss you instead?" I asked.

"If it doesn't become annoying." She replied.

"How could it ever become annoying? I'm just kissing my sweet baby girl, the love of my life, my everything." I said.

"I don't know." She replied as I started to repeatedly kiss her on the cheek.

"Tell me when it becomes annoying." I said.

"Well now that I know you intend to do it until it does. That makes it annoying already." She replied.

"I just want to kiss you as much as I possibly can." I said. "I love you baby girl."

"I wuv you." She replied with a yawn.

"Well don't fall asleep on me." I said.

-a few minutes of nothing but the sound of water coming out of the shower head later.-

"Cj, I've decided to let you fight beside me again, but just try not to get hurt as bad." She said.

"Baby girl, I just got flashed burned yesterday, that's not bad at all. I can get that from just standing around in the sun." I said.

"I mean like what happened at the machine city." She said.

"Huh?" I asked. It was so long ago I had almost forgotten.

"You almost died, and that's not even the first time." Phoebe said.

"Yeah and it wasn't the last time either." I said.

"Do I need to remind you?" She asked.

"No, it's allright." I replied. "As long as you don't do that thing where you channel your powers to the point where you start bleeding out of your ears."

"I had to, to protect you." She said.

"Oh you did not." I replied. "You could've just teleported us out of the way. And between you and all the digibabes, you could have whittled him down without bleeding out of your ears Pheebles, do you know how bad that is?"

"Yeah I could of maybe." She admitted. "But I was so worked up by my idiot of a husband who I love very very much acting like he has a death wish."

"Yeah well, you got hurt way worse than I did this time." I said.

"Yeah so?" Phoebe asked.

"So you need my protection apparently." I said.

"No you just need to stop doing things like that, making me worry about you. " She agreed with a sigh.

"Well same." I replied. "But you know neither of us will."

"I know." She replied.

"So let's just enjoy the fact that we're both naked in the shower together right now and then we'll both try to take part in the next fight without getting killed." I said.

"I guess that's the best I can hope for." Phoebe replied.

"Mhm." I agreed. "And if I get flash burned, or cut, or smacked around a little bit, it's ok allright? I'd hate to think what would have happened if he had a proper army and you couldn't have just taken him down that easily."

"I'd hate to think what would happen if neither of us was able to make it back to our kids? You remember that explosion? Even if they make it out of there who is going to look after them?" Phoebe asked.

"Would it even matter at that point? We'd be too dead to care." I said.

"Yes it does matter." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah, you're right, but that's still no excuse to just let you do all the fighting when I can help, and that's no excuse to make suicidal moves like that either." I said.

"I know, I got carried away. I'm sorry." Phoebe said.

"And besides Pheebles, if anything happens to me, you can just teleport away." I said.

"I'd rather not let anything happen to you, ever." She replied.

"Yeah well, same, but it's not a perfect world baby girl." I said.

"I guess you're right." She replied.

"Thankyou." I said.

"Now just be quiet and hold me." She demanded.

"Ok fine." I replied.

I quietly held her for a little while longer before we got dressed and headed over to Saphy's room to check on her, halfway expecting Kitty to be there as well, only to find she had returned to her own room.

"Saphy, I don't even know what to say to you." Phoebe said to her digimon with a sigh.

"Are you just that in love with me or are you just that lonely?" Phoebe asked.

"Or are you just jealous?" I added.

"You're right Cj, she could be jealous too." Phoebe agreed.

She just looked at us in silence for a while.

"I think I love you more than I thought I did." She struggled to say.

"You think?" Phoebe asked.

"Seeing you like that, I got so scared, I got so angry." She continued as they embraced.

"It wasn't my best moment was it?" Phoebe asked. "Maybe we'll spend the next night together, try to sort some of this out."

"Pheebles." I objected.

"Well you can be with Kitty of course." Phoebe replied.

"Or he can be with all of us." Saphy said.

"Well you do owe them both an apology." Phoebe replied.

"Anyway where is Kitty?" I asked.

"I kind of kicked her out. My head was killing me and she wouldn't stop talking." Saphy replied.

"Well then just ask her to be quiet, don't be mean." Phoebe replied.

"I was naked." Saphy said.

"Oh." Phoebe replied. "You've been naked around her before."

"Yeah, but she just keeps talking like it's normal, it's weird." Saphy said.

"Well you're dressed now so let's go talk to her." Phoebe replied.

"Ok, fine." Saphy agreed.

So we all went over to Kitty's room, where she had fallen back to sleep out of boredom.

"Wake up fluffy butt it's about time to get going." Phoebe said.

"Huh wha?" Kitty replied.

"Why is the big blue meany here?" She asked after looking around. "If I'm not allowed in your room you're not allowed in mine."

"Well it's not going to be your room for much longer we're leaving soon." Phoebe said.

"When?" Kitty asked.

"As soon as you're ready to go and we can find the goddesses." I said.

"Ok then let's go." She said as she clumsily flopped out of bed.

"You think they're getting along ok?" I thought over and over as we headed down the hallway until Phoebe finally took notice and responded telepathically.

"They're not trying to kill each other so I think they'll be fine." Phoebe replied briefly resting her hand on my shoulder.

And so we left and started our painfully long journey back to the others. We had some fun with Saphy that night, but aside from that we basically just traveled until we were too tired to travel.

Anyway, while we were about to set out on another long journey to hopefully reunite with the rest of our group, the rest of our group, led by Zari, was trying to continue on northward. They left signs behind as they did so, so we could catch up to them later.

All went well for the first few days, with steady progress and little conflict, but they eventually came across a contingent of BlackLilymon's army, consisting of all of the veggiemon varieties, and some woodmon, with an occasional champion level insect digimon as well, but not nearly as many as were employed by Grandkuwagamon. Still there wasn't near enough to delay their progress by much.

Black Lilymon herself was more pre-occupied with continuing her journey northward to unite with the other dark royalty, and while her army of mostly plant digimon had grown quite large it was spread relatively thin as she had numerous small contingents, some with as few as half a dozen digimon, heading out in every direction with orders to recruit as many digimon as they could, or destroy them and take their data if they refused, though in reality she planned to eventually murder them all for their data, not only would all this data make her more powerful, but the dark royalty needed all the data they could get in order to resurrect deusmon. This strategy also allowed her to get somewhat of a bearing on where we were.

It was supposed to take more time, the dark royalty were supposed to establish power in their selected regions until eventually most of the digital world fell under their control, while also limiting Ophanimon's ability to intervene by locating and eliminating the digimon she had chosen to rise against them, presumably, they succeeded atleast a few times.

Anyway, since we bumped off the first few members they began to feel the urge to migrate north, since IceDaemon and Darkdramon happened to be the closest together geographically, and they began to get more violent with the exception of the ones that already made it there. Darkdramon's army was still very much intact, and so was IceDaemon's, while Marionamon's, which we managed to severely cripple, was slowly rebuilding. They were short at the moment, since Crimson Seadramon and aldamon, who were charged with collecting the data of the entire riverside and southerly population, as well as anything else they came across on their way north were defeated.

Meanwhile Volkheim and the Bubblemen were making their way north, with a huge variety of digimon consisting of fragments of the armies of dark kings we had defeated aside from Marionamon's since they never went that far south and most of her army, consisting largely of nohemon and shadowtoyagumon, either retreated with her or was destroyed. And they hadn't come across any of Indramon's forces either.

Still, in their extremely diverse ranks there were kogamon, airdramon , stingmon, roachmon, flymon, woodmon, veggiemon and its variants, yanmamon, blacknightchessmon, ogremon, vilemon, and even devidramon, with a handful of monitamon they were using as scouts.

Meanwhile, around Big Tree village, Arukenimon was fighting yet another contingent of Black Lillymon's forces, along with her small army of dokugamon and stingmon, all formerly under control of Grandkuwagamon. The veggiemon and woodmon weren't posing much of a threat to them for now, but as with every other village that showed some resistance they were slowly building in number as other contingents that had nothing better to do converged with them. They would approach from all sides and retreat if attacked, hoping atleast one would get in range to hit someone inside. Being slow plant digimon, usually the retreat wasn't even successful, they weren't much of a match for the quickly moving stingmon and venomous dokugumon, who while not being particularly fast, were still a lot faster than them, though both plant digimon were very durable and decent at close quarters combat, so while they couldn't run away they could still put up a hell of a fight and were definitely not a nil threat.

Both IceLeomon and Ninjamon were enjoying fighting the slow trickle of enemy woodmon and veggiemon they were coming across, though everyone had to be on alert at almost all hours. After this had been going on for a few days, they eventually found a village of treehouses set in some abnormally large trees, where a small force of kabuterimon, kuwagamon, flymon, and even the spider-like dokugamon were holding their own against a somewhat larger force of veggiemon variants and woodmon. They were looking for a window to get the weaker rookie digimon to safety. The battle had already been going on for several days when Zari and Co arrived, the enemy force getting slightly larger each time, the enemy army determined to make the village fall. It was partially why our friends had it so easy, as the enemy was already pre-occupied trying to take this place down. It wasn't the only village to resist either. In fact, including Arukenimon's situation, there were about five similar situations going on at the moment, at different villages scattered throughout the forest, while this one was doing pretty well thanks to being up in the trees, others were about to lose, still others put up such a fight that enemy forces retreated from them in order to prioritize the destruction of other, more vulnerable villages.

Each contingent had a leader, and each leader reported to a supervisor of sorts, usually a cherrymon or blossomon, that kept their distance from the front, and these supervisors reported directly to Darkvioletmon, who spent most of her time being Blacklilymon's personal bodyguard, informant, and other supporting roles. Once again, the cherrymon that were willing to work for the forces of evil were putting their gifts of long distance communication through their roots to good use to make the coordination of such a large amount of digimon much easier. All of the cherrymon working for Blacklilymon were woodmon before she or more likely one of her contingents recruited them, gaining the ability to digivolve from absorbing many less willing "recruits". Grandkuwagamon had a very similar situation going on, but he did manage to find and recruit a handful of natural cherrymon. Natural in this sense meaning that they digivolved mostly due to experience rather than just the absorption of a lot of data all at once. Most digimon don't live that long, or they never gain that much experience, which is why ultimates are rare and megas are even rarer.

Anyway, Zari didn't know any of this, nor was it particularly important. She figured a member of the dark royalty was behind the attacks, but as for where they were, none of the attackers they managed to get to speak seemed to know, most of them only following orders given by a blossomon or cherrymon. She ultimately decided to try to assist the local champions in protecting the village until we could return. As more enemy digimon kept coming and it was a lot easier to defend the village then it was a random, more open area of the forest with no structures to hide and take cover in. While IceLeomon and Ninjamon fought them with their own strength, Henry, Claire, and, Zari took turns in the mechanorimon with the newbies. Sadly we didn't think to leave them with any weapons.

As the days went by, the attacks increased in frequency until it was almost every hour on the hour, and they still couldn't open up a window wide enough to where the rookies could make it out safely. All but the mechanorimon were getting exhausted from lack of sleep.

"If they don't show up soon we're going to have to abandon this place and retreat." Zari said to Henry and Claire as the newbies continued fighting. A kabuterimon, serving as the defacto leader of the village, was also talking with them.

"We've been holding our own so far." Henry said.

"Yeah, but everyone is getting tired, even IceLeomon is getting tired. And every time they come back there's more of them than before. At this rate we'll eventually be over run. " Zari said.

"Where are we going to go then?" Claire asked.

"Back the way we came, until we find Phoebe and Cj or they find us." Zari said. "Atleast they're slow so the bus should be able to out run them easily. They're mainly coming from the north east so there's probably nothing out there but more of them. "

"We might be able to out run the plants, but not the bugs." Henry said.

"They aren't as tough though. And they don't have so many of them that the mechanorimon can't keep them back." Zari pointed out.

"From what I've heard from our scouts. We're the only village in the area still standing." The village leader said. "The enemy is primarily coming from the north east, but they surround us on all sides, with the weakest concentration being to the south. So if we're going to escape that's the best option."

"That's what we need to do anyway." Zari said. " Claire let's get packed up and get ready to go. Henry go signal IceLeomon and the newbies. Protect the rookies at all cost. We'll take the lead, the rookies will follow. Everyone else, keep them off our tails. Let's move!"
