69. Chapter 69

Eventually the next morning arrived, Zari was already up and getting dressed. I was sandwiched between Phoebe and Kitty, with Saphy on the outside. At this point I was pretty much used to waking up between them, though usually with clothes on.

"Why are you in such a hurry?" I quietly asked.

"I got up, everyone was asleep, didn't see much reason to stay in bed." Zari replied.

"Aw you got lucky, sometimes I wake up between these two and they're on me in such a way I can't really move without waking them." I said. "I guess I lucked out today too though."

"You lucked out the whole night you horny bastard." Zari said.

"Yeah yeah." I replied.

"Welcome back" She said a few moments later.

"I'm just glad you and the rest of the team are allright." I replied.

"Cj who are you talking too?" Phoebe said as she suddenly awoke.

"Ok." Phoebe replied. "That means I don't have to kick her out."

"You were going to kick me out?" Zari said with a laugh.

"Nothing, just get up and get dressed as soon as you can because Cj and I need some alone time." Phoebe said.

"OK." Saphy replied. "I might need a few more minutes."

"That's fine." Phoebe said. "Did you have fun last night?"

"Of course." Saphy said.

"I hope so, it looked like you were." Phoebe said. "It looked like Cj got you pretty good."

"Yeah she likes his big human dick." Zari teased.

"Yes she does." Phoebe teasingly agreed.

"Ok enough about last night." I said.

"Oh relax. It happened, we all had fun, and after this we'll probably never mention it again, and it definitely won't be the last time I let you plow Saphy like that." Phoebe replied.

"Well, um, see you when you're ready to leave." Zari said. "Or if we get attacked I guess."

"Bye Zari." Phoebe said.

"Bye." Saphy said.

Zari left the bus and things went quiet for a bit,

I guess I should get going to before you make me want that dick again." Saphy said. She gave Phoebe a kiss on the cheek before getting up.

"Awe aren't you sweet?" Phoebe said.

"Last night was fun, but we should probably stop doing things like that." Saphy said.

"Oh come on." Phoebe said.

"Phoebe I'm serious, I don't even know if Ophanimon will let us go with you after all of this." Saphy said.

"Well we're taking her down anyway, so it shouldn't matter, I'm sure the goddesses will let you go." I said.

"I wouldn't be so sure that will work." Saphy replied. "Anyway, guess I'll see you when we're ready to get moving again."

Saphy got up and de-digivolved to quickly redress herself before leaving the bus as well.

"Allright so now we just have to wait for Kitty to wake up and we can be alone." Phoebe said after Saphy left.

"Yeah, that usually takes a while." I said.

"So it doesn't matter what form she's in?" Phoebe asked.

"Nope she's still Kitty, even with the body of a demon goddess of lust." I replied as I gently poked her in the shoulder to try to rouse her awake.

"Waiting for you to wake up so we can have some alone time." Phoebe said.

"I see." Kitty replied with a sigh. " Well have fun I guess I'll just head out there then."

She crawled over us, kissed us both on the cheek. Got out of bed, stood up, de-digivolved to redress herself and then left the bus.

"I guess she's starting to like you." I replied.

"That's good, maybe we'll let her play with us tonight." Phoebe said. "I can put on my thing and ride her big fluffy butt again while you take her pussy."

"Why are we talking about her this is supposed to be our time?" I asked.

"I don't know, good question." Phoebe replied.

"I loved her, we got along well, but she wasn't you Pheebles, I really wish you could have met her." I said.

"I can, sort of, through your memories." Phoebe said.

"It's not really her though is it? You can't directly interact with her, you'd have no idea what she would say." I pointed out.

"She loved you enough she'd be jealous." Phoebe said.

"Depends, if it was during our early years together probably, when we actually started to love each other, but towards the end, she didn't really want me to be alone when she passed." I said.

"But I was and then Kitty decided to be extremely stupid again just to be there for me." I said.

"Was it really that stupid? Now we both owe her so much." Phoebe pointed out.

"Fuck I never thought of it that way before." I said.

"I don't want you to marry her too though." Phoebe said.

"She doesn't want to marry me, she thinks that means she'll be expected to learn to cook and clean and do other non-sexual normal people things she probably should have learned to do by now anyway." I said.

"She doesn't clean?" Phoebe asked.

"Did you see her room on the ship? Rings and a few other shiny things scattered everywhere." I said.

"Now she spends some time cleaning the rings themselves because she likes them to have some shine to them, but she just leaves them scattered on the floor like some sort of medieval treasure room, it's madness, but hey it makes her happy and as long as it's possible to make it to the door it's not really hurting anything."

"Does she not understand jewelry boxes?" Phoebe asked.

"I bought her one once, and guess what?" I asked.

"She didn't like it?" Phoebe asked.

"She loved it, enough to add it to her collection of floor ornaments." I said.

"Did you show her how she could use it?" Phoebe asked.

"Yep." I replied.

"Is our entire house going to end up like that?" Phoebe asked.

"No just whatever room we let her have." I said. "And she might help with gardening too, she's surprisingly decent at it."

"What room are we going to let her have? We're almost out of bedrooms and there's not enough room in the basement." Phoebe said.

"Isn't there that other room at the end of the hall?" I asked.

"No, that's Charley's room." Phoebe said.

"Fuck I don't even remember our house anymore." I said.

"Here let me help." Phoebe said as she touched my head, making my mind go blank as she unlocked memories buried deep by the passage of time. It actually took her a few minutes to do this, but to me it seemed like they had passed in an instant. Though we didn't have a working clock nearby so it was impossible to tell anyway.

"Remember now?" She asked.

"Yeah, actually." I said.

"Thanks Pheebles." I said before kissing her.

"I guess we'll have to build another room for her." I said.

:"Can we do that?" Phoebe asked.

"Maybe she can sleep on the couch like Saphy." Phoebe suggested.

"You realize that means there will be rings all over the living room floor? Eh we'll figure it out when we get home." I said.

"If she makes it back with us." Phoebe said.

"Why wouldn't she? Are you planning something?" I asked.

"No, I would never, after what she did for you, but we don't know how many more worlds we'll have to go through to make it back home, and anything could happen during that time, she could get killed, she could fall in love with someone else." Phoebe said. "And you love her enough that would hurt you wouldn't it? Despite what you keep saying."

"She's not my soul mate, but I am fond of her yes." I said." It would hurt me more if you did any of those things."

"I would never do those things." Phoebe replied.

"Is it bad that I'm that close to her?" I asked.

"Oh I think it's adorable." Phoebe replied.

"We used to be adorable together.' I said.

"We still are." Phoebe replied.

"100 years Pheebles, most people don't even live that long." I said. "I never stopped missing you, but sometimes I know I've changed, and you probably have too."

"Not really, I never stopped looking for you, and you got more experience at being a father, so what?" Phoebe pointed out. "That means you can be an even better father for Charley and Nina now than you already were, when we get back."

"I know, I may sound a bit crazy after all this time, but we've been apart for so long I think I've more than earned the right to be a bit crazy." She continued.

"How's that even crazy? That just means you haven't given up." I said.

"Maybe you're right." She replied. "But I got my Cj back now, and now I have even more hope."

"And I got my baby girl." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe replied. "And we have two kids that are counting on us to get back to them so we better or we aren't worth anything as parents." Phoebe continued. "So let's get dressed, go outside and spend another day trying to destroy these dark rulers so we can move on to the next world whatever that may be."

"Do you know how many I had to give as a galactic empress?" Phoebe asked.

"I thought you had them all mind controlled?" I asked.

"Yeah, but for the majority of people if they know you're not trying to destroy them, and that you're motives aren't really that evil, and that it's only temporary, it makes them less likely to fight back." Phoebe explained. "I didn't harm anybody I just had them go about their daily lives while a few did some important work for me, for free, and then I let them all go when I didn't need them anymore, or whenever the batteries ran out on the missiles."

"You realize both the U.S.C and the Zelusians would have locked you up forever if they found out what you were doing." I said.

"But they didn't find out." Phoebe replied.

"Then again if you let them catch you, I probably could've seen your face on the news." I said.

"And then what were you going to do? Bust me out?" Phoebe asked. "That would've put your life in so much danger, or they find out you and I are connected and lock you up too."

"They were already looking for me, thanks to a certain fluffy butted digimon." I said.

"Yeah and that would have made it even less likely for you to bust me out." Phoebe replied. "I knew what I was doing Cj, trying to find you in the most non-disruptive way possible. That way we could maximize our chance of escape."

"Well it worked, so no complaints." I replied.

"Good." Phoebe replied. "Now kiss me and let's get dressed already."

"Try asking nicely." I said.

"Ok fine, please kiss me, please, before we have to get up." She cutely begged.

"Of course." I replied before kissing her.

"Thankyou so much." She replied.

"Thankyou for everything you've done and everything we've yet to do together." I said.

"Awwwwe Cj, I wuv you, but let's get going, before we lose track of time and end up snuggling until somebody comes to get us." Phoebe said as she got up and located her dress.

"Allright." I replied.

A while later we emerged from the bus, fully dressed. The digibabes were hanging out with Zari who was telling them stories of her experiences with the Zelusians. IceLeomon was training with his wives, and Kiera was curiously talking to one of the mechanorimon. The others were probably still asleep.

"Hey Phoebe can you come over here for a second?" Kiera asked.

"What's going on?" Phoebe asked.

"Can you cut this tree down?" She asked.

"Actually Bulby would be better at it, but why?" Phoebe asked.

"I want to see if the mechanorimon can lift it." Kiera replied.

"Why?" Phoebe asked after rolling her eyes.

"Is this some kind of trick?" I asked, remembering what she said the other day.

"No it's not she's just curious." Phoebe replied.

"Ok, I need to get my purse and then I'll get Bulby to cut it down for you." Phoebe said.

-2 minutes later after retrieving her purse from the bus-

"Allright Bulby come on out we need your help." Phoebe said as she tossed his pokeball into the air.

Bulby came out, as expected.

"All I need you to do is cut down this tree ok? And then you hang out if you want until we need to get moving again." Phoebe said.

"Venusaur!" Bulby replied before making quick work of the tree with razor leaf.

"Um thanks." Kiera replied, unsure of what think about the rather large pokémon.

"Saur!" Bulby replied with a smile.

"He says you're welcome." Phoebe translated.

"Ok now mechanorimon see if you can lift it." Kiera said.

"AFFIRMATVE!" The mechanorimon obnoxiously replied.

"So what is the point of this exactly?" I asked.

"Well I've noticed that against the really strong bad guys, the mechanorimon aren't the best at fighting up close and their lasers don't seem to be very helpful. So maybe if we could make a few crude weapons for them." Kiera began to explain, but stopped for a moment as we watched the mechanorimon attempted to pick up the recently fallen tree. It quickly became apparent that it could lift it, but it couldn't get enough of a grip on it to use it as a weapon, due to what could best be described as the chunkiness of its hands.

"Yeah I don't think it's going to work. It can't hold it with only one hand." I said.

"It can barely even pick it up too." Phoebe said.

"I guess I'll have to find a smaller tree then." Kiera said.

"Good luck with that." I replied as all the trees close by were around the same size, about one and a half feet in diameter, and nearly identical branches. All different areas of the forest had different trees, but trees of the same kind were all identical, aside from any damage sustained or what stage of growth they were in if they had been cut down recently. They looked enough like normal trees, but were anything but.

"I guess I had you cut this one down for nothing." Kiera said.

"Eh don't worry about that, if I remember right I heard they regrow really fast." Phoebe said.

"IT WILL BE BACK TO ITS FULL SIZE IN ABOUT 14 DAYS." The mechanorimon said.

"Yeah there you have it." Phoebe said.

"Weird." Kiera said.

"So are the other newbies still asleep or are they playing around with wood too?" I asked.

"Last I saw they were asleep, Celly will probably be up soon, Lussy likes to sleep in." Kiera replied. "But you'd know that if you slept with us more often."

"Look I know we've had a lot of fun together, but Cj and I are married and we kind of had a thing with Zari and our digimon last night, so he's tired now." Phoebe said.

"Saur?" Bulby chirped and glared at her like she was crazy.

"Go on and explore if you want, you don't have to hear this." Phoebe said.

So Bulby wandered off to explore the area, curious about where we had gotten to, and not wanting to hear any of this.

"Well I didn't mean right now." Kiera said. "Although if we went deeper into the forest we probably could."

"Sorry, maybe some other time." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles." I scolded her.

"If Cj decides he wants to, some other time." Phoebe said.

"He told me to ask you." Kiera said.

"Oh he did?" Phoebe asked. "Well still it's a no, he's tired, and he's my husband and I want him to myself the rest of the day, because I wuv him very much."

"You're free to hook up with whoever you want, but Cj is mine." Phoebe said.

"As long as they're not a total asshole that constantly gets in the way or is a total enemy." I said.

"Cj." Phoebe scolded me.

"What? You don't see why her being with a guy that does nothing but go around pissing everyone off or outright works for whatever enemy faction we have to deal with at the time could be a bad thing?" I asked.

"No, I just think she's smart enough to know not to do that." Phoebe said.

"Well what good is that there's no men out here but you and Henry?" Kiera asked.

"There's plenty of male digimon, we just haven't come across ones that aren't completely evil yet, or rookies." I said.

"There will be other worlds don't worry. And maybe I can talk him into having some fun some other time, but not today." Phoebe said as she held me as tight as she could without hurting me. "Now is there anything else you want to talk about or need help with?"

"Not really." Kiera replied.

"Ok then, you're welcome and maybe some other day, come on Cj let's go see what Zari is up to." Phoebe said.

"What about Bulby?" I asked.

"He'll be fine he's just doing some exploring, he won't wander too far." Phoebe said.

"So they found out he was working for the U.S.C and promptly locked him up, but the idiot guard dropped the keys right outside the cell without realizing it, so within ten minutes all the prisoners escaped." Zari said.

"So did they fire him?" Saphy asked.

"Oh, he was one of the first ones to die, so, no." Zari said.

"Who was this?" I asked.

"Delbert Zeller." Zari replied.

"Oh fuck I know that guy." I said.

"Really?" Zari asked.

"Yeah, he escaped from some Zelusian ship after some spying or something to that effect then the ship he used to escape ran out of energy, and we just happened to be closest to him at the time so we got the orders to change course to pick him up so we could take him back to base. Dude was crazy as hell. Kind of an arrogant prick, but he had some good stories to tell. " I said.

"Blonde dreadlocks?" Zari asked.

"Yep."

"I don't remember that." Kitty said.

"The guy that got pissed at you cause you touched his hair and called him a cheese head?" I asked.

"I got nothing." Kitty replied.

"She did what?" Zari asked.

"She called him a cheese head." I said.

"I did not." Kitty replied.

"Yeah you did, CJ isn't lying." Phoebe said.

"I don't remember doing that." Kitty said.

"Well it was almost forty years ago so." I said. "He was so pissed it was hilarious, I was kind of worried he would slap you or something. And then he tried to talk me into demoting you and I kind of just played along and never really did anything about it like all the other times other people tried ."

"He didn't find it weird that she stayed a lieutenant?" Zari said.

"I don't think he ever bothered to check in on it." I replied. "As much stuff as he had going on it probably isn't that surprising, and aside from that a few of the more attractive female crew members had complaints about him as well. So if he did look into it, I could have just pursued those women's claims to get him to back off. "

"What claims Cj?" Phoebe asked.

"Nothing that serious just that he said some stuff he probably shouldn't have." I said. "But even if I looked further into the issue there would have been little I could have done anyway, he had enough talent the higher ups probably would've let him get away with it. That and we never saw him again after we dropped him off at HQ. "

"That asshole was either completely stupid or had balls of brass, he kept hitting on me, even when he was in cuffs, right in front of my husband who was too nice to do anything about it." Zari said.

"Yeah and it wasn't just you. I wonder if that ever caught up to him." I said.

"I was this close to beating the crap out of him." Zari said.

"That's probably what he wanted you to do." Phoebe said. "That way you would get in trouble."

"Nah, he was just a perverted jerk." Zari replied.

"Yeah kind of." I said. "Definitely a very colorful character." I said.

"He probably hit on Aranea too didn't he?" Zari asked.

"His balls weren't that big." I said.

"I don't think he ever hit on me" Kitty said.

"You don't even remember him." I pointed out. " Though I'm pretty sure he didn't like you for that cheese head thing, so that's probably true."

I looked after her as best as I could, but between captaining a ship and raising my daughter with Aranea, sometimes she was on her own. Her place in my heart would always be a strange one.

"I don't remember." Kitty said.

"Me either." I replied.

"He made a lot of enemies, but he also became fairly popular, even though he was only on our ship for a few days. I'd assume he probably died in the last forty years or so, but I never learned what happened to him."

" I can help with that actually. I think it was just a few months after he escaped, which would also be after you brought him to your HQ. He got caught at one of our bases and he was captured and executed." Zari said.

"Ow, really?" I asked.

"Yeah, one of the guards he tried to seduce wasn't as in love with him as he thought she was." Zari said. "She exposed him as a spy, he tried to run, and he was captured and executed."

"Was it you?" I asked.

"No, I don't remember her name, but it wasn't me." Zari said.

" Well, fuck I mean he was kind of a hot shot, but dam." I said. "He had some cool stories to tell."

"I'm sorry, but, I had no idea you were with the U.S.C at that point. " Zari replied.

"Well he'd probably be dead by now anyway, so." I replied.

"No he wouldn't even be born yet probably." Phoebe said. "We traveled into the past before coming back here remember?"

"I know Pheebles, but, I always kind of wondered if he ever met somebody and became some sort of super couple like us, or if his numerous transgressions with women ever caught up to him, but, nah, he apparently died just months after we dropped him off." I said. "It's kind of a buzzkill really. I'll never forget his face, or Kitty calling him a cheesehead."

"I already forgot." Kitty said.

"Pheebles you think you can jog her memory?" I asked.

"I can try." Phoebe said. "No guarantees you know my powers don't work very well on digimon."

"I know, but it's worth a shot to get her involved." I replied as she placed her hand on my head.

"Come here Kitty let's try this." Phoebe said as she held out her other hand.

"Ok." Kitty replied.

Phoebe touched both our heads, and everything went black for a brief moment as she did her thing.

"Oh, that's the guy you're talking about," Kitty said.

"Arceus it worked." Phoebe said,

"Mr. cheesehead." Kitty said.

"Hehehe, it's still funny after all these years." I said.

"really?" Phoebe asked.

"I know it's horrible, but it's still funny." I said.

"Well his hair looked like a bunch of cheese." Kitty said.

"I know, I know, fuck I love you Kitty kat." I replied.

"Love you too." Kitty said.

"And I wuv my Pheebles." I said as I pulled Phoebe close.

"I love you too, you big weirdo." Phoebe replied.

"Ok, enough with the mush." Zari said.

"Thankyou." Saphy replied.

"Love you Saphy." Phoebe said cheerfully.

"Really?" She asked.

"Sure." Phoebe replied.

"Do you have any stories to tell?" Phoebe asked.

"Not really." Saphy replied.

"Oh come on, you're the one we know least about." Phoebe said.

"The planet I ended up on was mostly water, and it was inhabited by this race of jellyfish like people that lived in cities built very deep underwater, they couldn't survive outside of water but they built flying submarines and lots of other underwater vehicles. They were an intelligent race and eventually made it into space, which was when the U.S.C found us. Then they joined the U.S.C which took me into custody because they figured out I wasn't from that planet." Saphy said.

"Did you meet anybody interesting?" Phoebe asked.

"Well they were all in human jellyfish creatures, so, I spent the first several years just trying to figure out what they were saying because they communicate by making all these moaning and clicking noises, as opposed to actually speaking words. And they marry in threes there too, but the third partner is solely responsible for looking after the children, as historically, the parents usually died after well, having sex." Saphy said.

"That happened to one of my ex-boyfriends after he cheated on me!" Kitty said.

"Yeah a lot of sea creatures do that." I said.

"But since then they went and developed advanced medical technology that could make it so it wasn't 100% fatal. But even with that they could only ever reproduce once, but they could produce twenty to thirty eggs from just one session." Saphy said.

"Thirty kids at once?" I asked.

"No thankyou ." Zari said.

"Well not all of them would survive, but yeah, they had a lot of babies." Saphy replied.

"And you never knew any of them personally?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't really want to talk about it." Saphy said.

"Ok." Phoebe replied.

"Do you have any other stories Zari?" Kitty asked.

"I think it's your turn to tell a story now." Zari said.

"I don't remember anything." Kitty said.

"Make something up." I suggested.

"Once there was a thing, and it did a thing, and then another thing happened." Kitty said.

"What was this thing and what did it do?" I asked.

"It was a toaster, and it made bread." Kitty said.

"A toaster made bread?" I asked.

"Yes." Kitty replied.

"Interesting." I said.

"How did it do that?" I asked.

"You put the bread in and, oh, wait. It doesn't make bread it makes toast." Kitty said.

"Yeah." I said.

"So you have to put the toast in." She said.

Everyone looked at her in disbelief.

"And then it toasts the toast, and then it goes ding! And it pops up and it's ready to eat." She continued.

"Or you set it for too long and then it burns the toast and sets everything on fire so you throw the fire extinguisher at it, but it doesn't work, and then it explodes and the fire gets even bigger so you leave the house and then your boyfriend gets home and dumps you." Kitty said.

"Ok so never let her use a toaster." Phoebe said quietly.

"She didn't hesitate to use the one on the ship." Zari said.

"I know how to use a toaster now! I'm a toastmaster!" Kitty said.

"That's a thing?" I asked.

"I guess so." Phoebe said.

"I know, you kept toasting all my blue bagels and eating them." Zari said.

"They were yummy, and I didn't eat them all I gave some to Cj." Kitty replied. Causing Zari to give me a very mean look.

"Ok before you get mad, she only ever gave me like two of them at a time, I had no idea she made the whole box." I said.

"I swear you two are the worst thing to happen to my bank account since my ex-husband's funeral." Zari said.

"That's probably fair." I replied. "But we're not even in that universe anymore so what's it matter?"

"Anyway, anymore stories Kitty kat?" I asked.

"It's your turn." Kitty said.

"But you were doing so good I figured we'd let you have another." I said.

"Yeah." Phoebe agreed.

"No it's your turn." Kitty insisted.

"Did you ever set a microwave on fire?" Saphy asked.

"No." Kitty replied.

"What about that time you microwaved that guy's neblong?" I asked.

"Ok, um, how about that day when we had to tell my daughter and grandchildren that we were a thing?"

"Why would you talk about that? That was so awkward. She caught us kissing in the living room." Kitty said.

"Ok ok Cj, now tell a good story, from after we got together. Or maybe when we were in the U.S.C together, because that middle part sucked." Kitty demanded.

"oh ok. Let's see." I replied. "There was that time we were at the mall for whatever reason I don't remember, and we were looking over the railing on the second floor, just kind of hanging out."

"Why did you go to the mall to hangout? That's like something kids do." Zari pointed out.

"We were both unemployed at that point, so, whenever my daughter wasn't around, or was just busy with her own family, which was almost every day. We kind of just found different places to hang out and spend the day. We were both eligible for retirement at that point, though we didn't look like it."

"I bet there were some days you just stayed in bed and fooled around all day with her didn't you?" Phoebe said.

"Yeah duh." I said. "We'd do that till we'd get burned out then we'd look for other things to do. Some times we went to the mall, one time we went up to the space station, sometimes we'd check out new restaurants, play some video games, all sorts of things.

"So what happened at the mall?" Phoebe asked.

"She accidently dropped one of her rings and it fell down to the second floor, and by the time she got down there some random kid already picked it up and took it with him. I stayed up top knowing something like that could happen. And of course that wasn't one of the rings she normally has so it won't come back to her if she just changes form. So we ended up looking for this kid all over the place, because we literally had nothing better to do, and those rings aren't exactly cheap . We spot him, Kitty asks him nicely for the ring back and he just takes off running. So I go and head for the exit that's in the direction he's heading, which is on the other side of this giant ass clothing store that sold clothing for a huge variety of species. Anyway I make it to the exit just seconds after he does, just fast enough to see him get in a taxi, so now this has escalated into a car chase, thankfully it's rush hour so by the time Kitty caught up and we got in our car they haven't even made it out of the parking lot because they're waiting at a light and it's a really slow light that just happens to turn green right when we're about to catch up to them. So I got Kitty riding in the back so the kid won't spot her so he doesn't suspect anything and we're just casually following this taxi.

"What car did you have?" Phoebe asked.

"It was an old Larocoy Blackstar, it was a two door convertible with a little hydrogas turbine engine." I said. "Bought it shortly after I bought the house. Sold it before buying the Sword, for like four times what I bought it for."

Imagine a nissan 350z convertible, but smoother in profile with twin jet intakes in the front bumper and a small but powerful 400hp gas turbine engine under the hood that regularly reaches 30000rpm. "Well considering there was literally thousands of car manufacturers in that universe, it's not surprising." I said.

"I never found anything familiar." I said. "I had to relearn what was what all over again. And even then I mostly just knew of stuff that was known to Paloran."

"Anyway it was a pretty sweet car, but it's no skyline." I said.

"Quit talking about cars and get back to the story." Kitty insisted.

"Why? You were there, you know what happened." I said. "Why don't you tell the rest?"

"Because it's your turn." Kitty said.

"Yeah, it's your turn Cj, quit stalling." Phoebe said.

"You two." I said with a sigh as they were working together again.

"Ok so we follow him for a while, Kitty is all squished in the backseat that would have been small even for a child. " I said.

"Like Henry's car." Phoebe said.

"No, like she had to lay across the seat because there was no leg room whatsoever." I said.

"Oh." Phoebe replied.

"And I'm just sitting there driving, following this taxi, hoping she doesn't poke a hole in it." I said.

"I didn't." Kitty said.

"Yeah I know, it was a miracle." I replied.

"Anyway because of how long we had been following him he eventually caught on. He left the taxi in a crowded area downtown and just took off running down the street, I put the top down, Kitty hopped out and started chasing him leaving all her extra rings behind so she can digivolve if she has too without them flying everywhere, while I stayed with the car because there was nowhere to park downtown in the middle of the day and obviously I can't just leave the damned thing in the middle of the street. So I put the top back up again and try to work out where she's probably going to end up. And it's probably best if she takes it from here because all I really did after this was drive around this 3 block area or so a few times in heavy traffic, stopping at almost every other light." I said.

"No it's still your turn." Kitty refused.

"Well Kitty Kat come on. " I said.

"No." She refused.

" Fine I drove around this 3 or 4 block area for about 2 hours until I finally saw her walking down the street, she told me she lost him. Then we went home." I said. "That's all I have to say."

"Ok, I didn't tell you, but I didn't lose him." Kitty said.

"Then where did he go?" I asked.

"He took it into a store to sell it for money. The owner didn't want to buy it for some reason." Kitty said. "Then he started to cry and asked how he was supposed to pay for his mother's operation. Then the store owner said that even if it wasn't stolen it still wouldn't be enough to save his mother, So I told him he could just take it. I didn't want you to get mad at me so I said he just got away." Kitty said.

"I thought it was weird that you didn't get that upset about losing it." I replied. "Usually you go ballistic."

"I felt like he was going through enough already. I'm sorry." Kitty replied.

"For what? You did a nice thing. Don't worry about it. It was your ring anyway." I said.

"But you bought it for me." Kitty said.

"Yeah well, still." I sad.

"What's going on?" Selenia asked as she approached us.

"Nothing, just exchanging stories while waiting for everyone else to wake up." Zari said.

"Yeah." Phoebe agreed.

"Um. Ok, can I think for a bit?" Selenia asked.

"Yeah take all the time you need." I said.

"I have no idea." Selenia said a few moments later.

"Well, um, did you ever go to high school?" Phoebe asked to try to get her started.

"I went to a private boarding school my father set me up with, They didn't ask questions, I'm pretty sure he sent me there just so I could be safe. So he could keep me outside of his life and away from his enemies. Anyway, it was hell, I'm pretty sure some of those teachers knew who my father was and just had it out for me. He sent me letters sometimes, but he always left out anything involving what he was doing or how he was getting the money to pay for any of it."

"Did you make any friends?" Phoebe asked.

"Not really. It's kind of hard when your dad is a suspected pirate. The rumor eventually got out and people just avoided me. I know my dad sent me there to get me away from it all, but it just didn't work." Selenia replied. "Then he went missing a few years after I graduated. I became a bounty hunter just so I could try to figure out what happened to him. Then I found you." Selenia said.

"Ok well what happened before you went to that school when you were just a little kid?" Phoebe asked.

"My dad would take me around to all these different places with him. A lot of times he'd leave me at a hotel or a daycare center, I was almost never in the same place for more than a day. All while he was on the run or stealing from some ship or who even knows what else. He never told me anything he just brought me gifts sometimes, or sometimes if things were going well he'd take me to restaurants and we'd talk about anything aside from what he did to be able to afford to take me there. He'd do anything for me aside from make an honest living and tell me what he was actually doing even though I already had a clue what he was up to because his associates couldn't keep their mouths shut. And what drives me completely crazy is he wouldn't get a normal job, but he knew it wasn't the right thing enough that he would never take me along on an operation and he also took the first opportunity he could to send me away so that maybe I would choose a different path, I guess in a way it worked. I guess he was an ok father, but he wasn't a good man. " Selenia said.

"Atleast he cared about you." Phoebe said.

"Maybe not enough." Selenia replied.

"Atleast you had a father, I never even met my parents, only thing I know is that they were with the space police. And they wanted me to be in the space police. As soon as I was born I was whisked away to the academy. I don't even know what their names were. I was just given a name off of a list of names appropriate for that specific universe." Zari said.

"Yeah I think you said that before." Selenia said.

"We never had parents either." Saphy said.

"That's not completely true." Kitty said.

"Well yeah there's the caretakers that look after all the freshly hatched digimon, but, do they really count?" Saphy asked.

"Yes." Kitty insisted.

"I guess my home instructor counts too then." Zari said.

"My parents were allright, for the most part, but I had to leave them for a while to keep Pheebles safe, but even then they eventually came around." I said.

"They can be nice sometimes." Phoebe said.

"Her mom can see the future." I said.

"Really?" Selenia asked.

"Not all the time just sometimes and she can't control what parts she sees." Phoebe said.

"And your father?" Zari asked.

"He can't, he's a mind reader like me." Phoebe said.

"What do they do for a living?" Selenia asked.

"Nothing." Phoebe lied. "They're retired."

"What did they do before that?" Selenia asked.

"They made furniture." Phoebe lied.

"I knew it you are some kind of elf." Selenia said.

"No I'm a gardevoir. Which is a kind of pokémon." Phoebe said. "Like Bulby. Bulby! Come here!"

Bulby was minding his own business about 100 feet or so away. What said business was exactly was beyond me, it looked like he was trying to find something in one of the trees with his vines, maybe he was looking for an apple or something, I had no idea.

"Venusaur venus!" He chirped as he turned and approached us in a jovial manner.

"So he's a pokémon, and you're a pokémon?" Selenia asked.

"Yeah, it's a very broad term. Like animals." Phoebe said. "Except pokémon are a lot more intelligent and possess what many would consider to be supernatural powers."

"Venusaur" Bulby nodded in agreement.

"So he can understand us?" Selenia asked.

"About as well as any human can, he can't talk very well though, only some sapient pokémon can. Or that's what the humans call them anyway, most pokémon are atleast intelligent enough to be on par with a human child." Phoebe said.

"And you're one of them?" Selenia asked.

"Mhm." Phoebe replied. "And not even all gardevoirs can either, they have to learn how like any human whereas pokémon language comes naturally."

"Oh Henry and Claire are coming over, your yelling must have woken them up." Zari said.

"Oops, oh well, atleast that means maybe we can get going a bit earlier." Phoebe said.

"What's with all the yelling?" Henry asked.

"I needed to get Bulby's attention." Phoebe explained.

"Venus." Bulby chirped.

"Can't you do that with your magic mind powers?" Henry asked.

"Yeah, but it's easier just to yell since he was just over there." Phoebe explained.

"What's this thing? Is it a digimon, can I be it's tamer?" Challana asked as she examined Bulby.

"Oh good morning Chally, no that's Bulby, he's a pokémon and I'm his trainer." Phoebe explained. "Haven't you met him before I don't remember?"

"Maybe, I just woke up a few seconds ago." Challana explained. "Actually yeah I think you did introduce me to him before as well as your others."

"I thought so." Phoebe said.

"I am not a morning person." I said." And Kitty definitely isn't."

"I don't know, I like the mornings sometimes." Phoebe said.

"I'm not?" Kitty asked.

"I wake up before you almost all the time." I said.

"Hmmm, yeah, that's true." Kitty agreed.

"I mean there were some days when it was just us I would get up get a shower and have breakfast and you'd still be asleep." I said.

"I miss those days." Kitty said.

"We've been sharing stories you got any good stories?" Saphy asked.

"Sure." Henry replied.

"He has lots of stories." Claire said.

"Well then he can go next." Saphy said.

"Ok, well, once we were looking for a guy that was hiding out on this gigantic submarine. So we had this submarine car thing, and it's just me, Briggs, and Lashton, just stuffed into this thing that looks like a small sports car but it's a submarine. Meanwhile back at base I have Dex and Langley interrogating a member of this guy's crew that we picked up outside of a bar so we can get the access codes so we can board the submarine. And while this particular planet had a few cities established on the ocean floor this guy is literally hiding out in the middle of nowhere and it's very dark as there's not a whole lot of sunlight that can make it down there, so we see this huge blip show up on the sonar, so we head towards it thinking it's the sub, but as we get closer, we realize that this thing is moving in ways a sub shouldn't be able to, it turns out to be this gigantic fish that just swallows us whole, submarine and all, before we can even think to do anything, then it starts dragging us down to crush depth. Where our sub would have flattened into a pancake with us inside it." Henry said.

"We had no choice but to hit the lasers and shoot our way out. " Henry said.

"The car had lasers?" I asked.

"Yeah, because they were used to stuff like that happening. The planet was huge and had some really deep oceans, there were some really huge fish down there, so all the vehicles have a defensive laser system in case they get swallowed with people inside. We just got lucky that one was big enough to swallow us whole without damaging our sub."

"So the fish died?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, it died, we shot a giant hole in it." Henry said.

"Did you get to eat any of it?" Kitty asked.

"No, but we get to eat part of a different one. We were on a mission we didn't have time to collect the pieces and take it to somewhere we could cook the damned thing." Henry said.

"What did it taste like?" Kitty asked.

"Like very oily fish, like if you took a lump of catfish meat and soaked it in fish oil. It's edible, but it's an acquired taste." Henry said.

"That place sounds awesome, were there any sapient jellyfish?" Saphy asked.

"Nah, just a lot of big fish, the planet was settled before it developed any intelligent life on its own." Henry said.

"Sounds like Paloran almost." I said.

"It's not, it was Nelonia V." Henry said. "The fifth planet settled by the nelonians, who are like semi-aquatic fish people with gills and everything. They look almost human, but they have webbed toes and gills behind their ears, and are usually good at swimming."

"I used to be pretty good at swimming." Challana said. "It's been awhile though."

"I'm pretty terrible at it, Saphy loves it though." Phoebe said.

"Mhm." Saphira agreed.

"I don't like getting wet." Kitty said. "Cj keeps talking me into taking showers with him and I still don't like it."

"Kitty they don't need to know that." I said.

"Sorry:" She replied.

"When is the last time you've even done that?" Phoebe asked

"I don't think we have since we left the ship." I said.

"Yeah. I'd know if you did it without telling me." Phoebe said.

"Why would I do that? You're my baby girl. " I said.

"I know you won't because you still love me." Phoebe said. "Otherwise I wouldn't let her be our virara."

"Right." I agreed.

"Who's turn is it now?" Selenia asked.

"I don't even know anymore. " I replied.

"Cj can go again." Kitty said.

"Actually Claire is the only one who hasn't gone yet." Phoebe said.

"I spent almost the whole last century out of my mind. I don't really have much to say." Claire said.

"What was it like teaching before you met Henry?" Phoebe asked.

"I'm not like you, you can't possibly expect me to remember back that far." Claire said.

"Fair enough, you get a pass." Phoebe said. "So that means it's Zari's turn again."

"Well how did they meet?" Selenia asked.

"Quiet now and I'll tell you later." Claire said.

"Ok, well, once I responded to a cruise ship that sent out a distress call, it was in empty space in the middle of nowhere, far from any normal cruising route. So immediately we knew something was up." Zari said.

"We get close enough to identify it, and it turns out it had gone missing 20 years ago, supposedly due to pirate activity, the exterior was heavily damaged by asteroids to the point that a few non-essential rooms were compromised, but we can tell from the lights in the windows it still has power somehow." Zari continued. "So at this point we have to go and board it, because who knows, it could hold contraband or something, so I send a team in. They very quickly find out that the engines have been ripped out, as well as a few other valuable components, which is a telltale sign it had been hit by pirates. Not long after that they hear somebody laughing over the intercom system, so I let them take a few minutes to collect themselves because some of the newer members of the team are convinced the thing is haunted at this point. After we got the newbies under control, I let them head up to the bridge, where they find this filthy naked guy sitting in one of the chairs that looks like he hasn't shaved or showered a day in his life, blood was smeared all over his face, and he was playing around with the controls like a child, randomly pressing buttons and fidgeting with the joysticks and everything, the ship was in emergency mode at that point so barely any of the controls were working aside from the coms of course, which he apparently turned on by accident. Our best guess is that he hid so well when the pirates hit that they never found him, so he spent twenty years on that ship, adrift in space, completely alone, feeding on nothing but rats. He tried to attack my team but he was naked and unarmed so he was quickly arrested. We took him in and he was eventually sent to a mental institution, I don't think he ever recovered. They confirmed he was one of the passengers of the ship, but he was thought to have been killed by the pirates. He was basically a savage, he rarely said anything and when he did he spoke like a small child and he was pretty disgusting too. It was sad really, he was completely out of his mind."

"What happened to the ship?" I asked.

"We flagged it on the radar, and eventually a plan was put in place to tow it to a scrapyard where the reactor core and whatever fuel cells it had left were removed. Then the rest was scrapped like any other piece of junk. It had no engines and the hull was pretty badly damaged by asteroids. A lot of the rooms were compromised because of this, and after twenty years to put it lightly that savage didn't do the rest of it any favors, so there wasn't enough left of it to be worth saving." Zari said.

"The pirates left the reactor intact?" Selenia asked.

"They usually do in case they decide they want to go back later and steal the whole ship to use for storage or something. That way the life support systems still work." I said.

"Right." Zari agreed.

"They'll ransom the passengers or sell them into slavery, and steal whatever else is of value, but they usually leave the ship in a way that allows it to still be boarded. In that case they decided to just leave it for whatever reason. As a cruise ship, it's not particularly well armed or armored, and it's a big, slow target, and engines big enough to propel a ship of that size are kind of hard to find, so it's not hard to imagine why." I said.

"It must have had a lot of fuel to keep the lights on that long." Selenia said.

"Not really, fuel rods will last a long time if all they're doing is running a few lights and life support. It's when you start moving around and especially when you're jumping around that you start burning through them." I said.

"So who's next again?" Zari asked.

"I don't know, is Lucy up yet?" I asked.

"I can go wake her up if we really need to get going." Selenia said.

"Where are the goddesses?" I asked.

"They're keeping watch." Zari said. "They insisted on it. I think IceLeomon and his wives went with them too. Anyway Selly, why don't you go wake her up so we can get going? She's had plenty of time to sleep, and go find Ninjamon too."

"Ok sure thing." Selenia said before leaving the group.

"Where is Ninjamon?" I asked.

"I don't know, I haven't seen him all morning." Zari replied.

"It feels nice to be on this bus again, after being squished in that car for so long. " Phoebe said once IceLeomon climbed onto the roof and we were finally on the move again. Henry and Claire were following us now, to avoid a potential situation of them accidently driving though somewhere the bus couldn't fit, which would waste a lot of time, also having the bus outfront meant it's large body could be used as cover if necessary.

"Chally you want me to help you with your nails?" Phoebe asked. "And then you can help me drive Cj crazy."

"Really Pheebles?" I asked.

"Well what else are we supposed to do? Especially if we end up traveling for hours again?" Phoebe asked.

"Zari is right, if the enemy is around we should keep our eyes focused outside the window, not on each other's naked bodies." Saphy said.

"Maybe, but we can cover for them while they get dressed."

"Should I get my pretty little Kitty titties out now?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, let's get them out." I said as I undid her top.

"So, Saphy you want to come here and make out while they're playing around?" Phoebe asked.

"No, not right now." Saphy said.

"Oh come on, first Cj is a stick in the mud, now you?" Phoebe said.

"I'm being sensible." Saphy replied. "Cj was too, but now you got him going all ga ga over Kitty."

"Well what else are we supposed to do? Just sit here and play cards? We have a bed for a reason Saphy." Phoebe said.

"How about instead of getting snippy with her you just get your tiny little butt over here?" I asked.

"But it's Kitty's turn to play with you." Phoebe replied.

"It's ok, come here. We both want you." Kitty said.

"No, it's Kitty's turn. Kitty, take advantage of it, I'm not going to just keep handing them out." Phoebe said.

"But, I want you." I said.

"I want you too." Kitty added.

" Fine, let's make this quick." Phoebe said.

"Really?" Saphy asked in disbelief.

"My Cj wants me." Phoebe replied.

"So I'm just supposed to cover for everyone if we get attacked?" Saphy asked.

"I'll make it quick don't worry." Phoebe said.

Phoebe came over, slipped out of her dress and got in bed with us.

-roughly 10 minutes later-

"I thought you said you were going to make it quick." Saphy complained.

"Well he's tired it's not my fault." Phoebe said.

"Actually it's entirely your fault." I said.

"Yeah it is, but no more after this I promise, I promise I promise." She said.

"Did you say that this morning too? I don't remember." I said.

"Just be quietand hump me I love you so much Cj." Phoebe demanded.

-10 more minutes later-

"That's all I got." I said once I finally finished.

"Yeah you really do need to rest." Phoebe said.

"No fucking duh." I replied.

"You can do more, I know you can." Kitty said.

"Kitty shut up." I said.

"Yeah shut up." Phoebe added. "He's my husband and he needs rest."

"Thankyou Pheebles, I think." I said as I got myself between them on the bed.

"Sorry for the bad sex." Phoebe said.

"Oh, it was worth it." I said. "But it would've been better if it wasn't for last night. So no more until tonight." I said.

"No, no more until tomorrow, and then you'll get Chally, Saphy, and Zari." Phoebe objected.

I realized there was no point in arguing with her. Thankfully others stepped up.

"Yeah no." Saphy said.

"Oh, I'll get you to change your mind by then." Phoebe replied.

"We just did that last night. Anymore and you're going to have to let me in on this thing you three have." Zari said.

"You want to be one of our viraras?" Phoebe asked.

"Pheebles this doesn't need to be more complicated." I said, encouraged by the others.

"Yeah you're right." Phoebe replied. "Oh well.

"Now let's get dressed in case we come across the enemy." I said.

"Can we still snuggle?" Kitty asked.

"Yes, afterwards." I replied.

"Oh now you do something sensible." Saphy said.

"Saphy, I don't much care for your attitude." Phoebe replied as the three of us started to get dressed.

"You know Cj, she told me she wanted you back there with Kitty so if we did come across the enemy, you'd be too busy fucking her to join in the fight, but I guess the enemy is further away than she thought they would be. And then she decided to join you, apparently expecting me to cover for all of you." Saphy said.

"Saphy, he's not supposed to know that!" Phoebe replied. "And I don't expect you to singlehandedly cover for all of us, there's IceLeomon and the goddesses, and the mechanorimon."

"I'm not surprised, but I am annoyed. Pheebles do we really need to talk about this again?" I replied.

"No, I'm sorry." She replied.

"Whatever, let's just play some cards for a bit." I said.

"Ok." Phoebe replied.-

"I thought we were going to snuggle?" Kitty asked.

"We can snuggle on the bench." I said.

"There's no more time guys there's a group of veggiemon up ahead." Zari said.

"Oh crap." I replied.

"Get dressed! Hurry!" Phoebe said as Zari stopped the bus.

"I'll just digivolve it's faster." Kitty said.

"I told you this exact thing could happen." Saphy said.

"Yeah well quit nagging me and get out there. Miss buzzkill so can be ready for everything !" Phoebe commanded.

"What?" Saphy asked.

"I don't know just go I'll be out soon. I just need to get my shoes on." Phoebe replied.

IceLeomon got off the roof, Saphy left through the door. The mechanorimon brigade flew a bit further ahead along with a few friendly champion insect digimon. Kitty went and digivolved to save time, and left just moments after Saphy. Phoebe left a few seconds later. and I was basically the last one off the bus alongside Zari who, along with Henry and Claire, were waiting for weapons.

"I love that girl, but I think all those years without love and being an empress may have done a number on her head." I said after I made my way to the front of the bus.

"You think?" Zari asked.

"Don't let her talk me in to any of that stuff anymore." I said.

"I'll try, but you know how persuasive she can be." Zari replied.

"I know." I said.

"Are you going to come out or not Cj? I mean I'd like it if you stayed out of the fight, but." Phoebe said from outside.

"I'll be out in a bit Pheebles, go help the digibabes, don't get hurt." I said.

"I never get hurt." Phoebe replied.

"That's a lie and you know it." I said, to which she simply left.

"You had a child with her?" Zari asked.

"Yeah and she was a surprisingly competant mother." I said. "But we haven't seen either of our kids for over a hundred years now. Anyway, we can talk about that later, what gun you want this time?" I asked.

"Which ones do you have again?" Zari asked.

"Well I got dibs on the obelisk. Chally you coming?" I said as we casually left the bus.

"Yeah, sure." Challana replied.

"Cool, we'll get you a weapon too then." I said.

I distributed weapons to everybody while Phoebe and the digibabes started to push back the slow, but sturdy plant digimon. The mechanorimon and other friendly digimon kept the enemy stingmon and the occasional other flying enemy digimon under control. There seemed to be a few roachmon and kabuterimon as well, but they weren't nearly as common as the stingmon, who themselves weren't nearly as common as the multitude of veggiemon variants and woodmon. It looked like it was going to be a cakewalk. And for the first hour or so it was, and we were able to advance forward quite a bit. With Challana and Claire moving the vehicles forward on occasion when we started to get too far away from them. However, as the day progressed the enemy started to approach from different angles and in greater numbers, which made things a bit more difficult until it eventually turned into a complete slog. It was a long day, as we had to keep pushing forward until we finally retook the village, where we could use the walls to create bottlenecks and work in shifts so others could sleep. We were all exhausted by the end of the day, and even without Phoebe's help it wouldn't have taken long to fall asleep. A few friendly digimon guarded the gates for the night.

Tomorrow we would be pushing forward again. Tomorrow was pretty much guaranteed to be another slog. It was not something any of us were looking forward to, but it had to be done, the dark rulers had to be destroyed or at the very least the fate of this world, as well as the one we just came from would be sealed, if not more than that, more lives than could even be imagined would be lost to the wicked destruction of deusmon.

The next morning I woke up alone in the back of the bus.

"Pheebles, where did you go?" I yelled when I realized she wasn't next to me.

"Kitty kat?" I asked when Phoebe didn't respond, thinking atleast she would be nearby. She didn't respond either, but eventually Challana heard me yelling and came onto the bus.

"Chally, where'd they go?" I asked.

" Last night the enemy started to come in greater numbers and they almost breached the walls, so Phoebe and Kitty had to go help and they're still out there right now. You were out and she didn't want to wake you." She explained.

"Ok." I said.

"She also said we could have sex whenever you wake up." Challana replied.

"Of course she did, to keep me out of the fight, again. Does she even care that we're married?" I asked.

"You have it all wrong, she cares very deeply about you, and she trusts you, enough that she knows you're still hers no matter who you sleep with, that's why she'd rather have you here with me than out there with her risking your life." She replied.

"So I take it you're cool with this?" I asked.

Otherwise why would she even be here?

"Yes." She replied.

"And Kitty?" I asked.

"Phoebe talked her into it." Chalana replied. "Look if you don't want too that's fine, but she said we could."

"I believe you." I replied. "She might flip out at me if I head out there."

"Maybe." Challana agreed.

"Or she'll say she's sorry, but literally the next time there's a fight she'll try to pull the same thing again to keep me out of it." I said.

"She just wants you to be safe." Chalana replied.

"I know that, but she's my wife, not my mother, that's not her call to make." I said. "Maybe I don't want her out there fighting alone either. You weren't there when we fought aldamon but she hurt herself pretty bad for no real reason."

"How bad?" Chalana asked.

"As in she was bleeding from her ears bad." I said.

"Oh. Yeah, that's bad." Chalana said.

"Yeah it was." I replied. "She thought she was protecting me and she nearly killed herself."

"So I'm sorry but I really need to get out there to make sure she's allright." I said.

"It's ok there will probably be a next time." Chalana replied.

"With her that's just a guarantee." I said as I got up, got my shoes on, gave her a hug, and headed for the door.

"You know where they are at?" I asked before stepping off the bus, realizing I had no idea where I was going.

"I'll go with you." She replied.

"Allright fair enough." I said as she followed me off of the bus.

We found them standing by the main gate with a few friendly digimon. Kitty ran up and hugged me.

"Goodmorning Cj." She said, lovingly.

"Morning Kitty Kat." I said.

"You don't smell like her." She said. "That means, hah, I knew you wouldn't."

"I guess I should have taught Chally how to be more seductive." Phoebe said.

"Somebody needs to teach you how to be a wife again." I said.

"Cj." Phoebe said as she stared daggers at me.

"I understand they needed your help, I get that." I said. "But Pheebles, I'm not going to sleep with someone else just cause you're not there."

"Except me right?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, I guess." I said.

"It's Ok Cj, but we really shouldn't talk about this right now." Phoebe said.

"And when you say you're sorry, that doesn't mean try to do the exact same thing the next day." I said.

"Well I'm not going to stop trying to keep you safe, so get used to it. It's because I love you and I really don't want to lose you again. I'll let you fight alongside me, but I had to try atleast, please understand." Phoebe replied.

"And what if I came out here to find you both dead? Then what?" I asked.

"Well that didn't happen." Phoebe said.

"Well it could." I replied.

"Then atleast our kids would still have a father. " Phoebe replied.

"Who was busy doing nothing of importance or blatantly screwing somebody else while you were fighting for your life? You actually prefer that to me potentially getting hurt?" I asked. "They wouldn't have a father, I couldn't possibly live with myself if that happened. Don't you realize that?"

"Ok Ok, you have a point, but we need to make Zari be their guardian. Just so we have a backup in case we all die." Phoebe said.

"How's she going to get back though?" I asked.

"I don't know, she knows how to get there about as much as we do." Phoebe said.

"What about me?" Kitty asked.

"Kitty, I like you, but. I." Phoebe said.

"Let me handle it." I said, cutting her off before she made Kitty mad as well. "Kitty kat, you've dated guys with kids before, you know how it turned out, we don't need to go into any further detail. But if anything happens to Pheebles then you can be my wife, or whatever you decide you want to be by then." I said.

"OK." Kitty said.

"Great, now she's going to try to murder me in my sleep." Phoebe said.

"Sister I would never do such a thing. We both love CJ, so that means I love you." Kitty said.

"Good, because it wouldn't end well for you." Phoebe replied. "And love might be a little strong of a word."

"Give it time Pheebles." I said.
"I am." Phoebe replied.

"Where even is Zari right now? If you trust her that much you should probably tell her." I asked before either one of them could escalate it further.

"I think she's probably asleep in one of the houses." Phoebe said.

"Oh, well we can talk to her about that later." I said. "Anyway Pheebles, we fight together ok? Especially after what happened with the last dark king we took down. "

"I did that cause you were there." Phoebe said.

"Yeah well how do I know you won't try something like that if you start losing or something?" I asked.

"Because I promise you I won't." Phoebe said.

"Your promises don't mean jack anymore." I replied.

"Ok you win. I'm sorry. She said.

"Are you though?" I asked.

" Cj, if you really want us to die together then fine, but I'm not leaving our kids without a guardian. Quit making me think about it, you're going to make me cry."" She said.

"What about me? If you both die I'm all alone." Kitty asked.

"Gives you all the more reason to watch our backs. And you won't be alone. And we're not going to die together because we have each other's backs. Baby girl I will try to keep myself alive the best I can, even if you're not, for Kitty and our kids, but I'm not going to sit around doing absolutely nothing or screwing some random chick, or whatever the hell your weird little mind comes up with, while things are trying to kill you. Ok?" I said.

"Ok." Phoebe said.

"Ok, we have kids?" Kitty replied.

"What no? What?" I asked confused how she got to that conclusion.

"He meant our kids you goofball." Phoebe said.

"We have kids?" Kitty asked, even more confused.

"Ok, now you're just joking around." I said.

"Wait no I get it now." Kitty said.

"There you go." I replied.

"You meant your kids." Kitty said.

"Yeah, good job." I replied.

"There's another group coming get ready." A friendly kabuterimon said.

"Now we need to get out there, Cj if you want to fight so badly you should come too." Phoebe said.

"I don't wanna make you cry Pheebles, but you're just going to have to get over it." I said.

"I know." She said while holding back tears.

"I can't stand to lose you either, and if I lost you and didn't do a damned thing to try to stop it. I'd never forgive myself, you know that." I said.

"I know." She replied. "Let's just get this done. Chally, go see if Saphy is awake yet. Sorry you had to see this."

"Both of you come here real quick." I said.

I pulled both of them close as Chally walked away.

"We need to start thinking how we're going to make this work in the long term." I said "No more deception, no more lies, no more bullshit. Nothing but love between us ok?"

Phoebe held me as tight as she could.

"I'll try for you." She said, trying not to cry.

"Mhm." Kitty said, a lot less emotionally.

"Allright then, let's try to get to the next village by dark." I said. "Hopefully I won't wake up alone tomorrow."

"You weren't supposed to wake up alone today." Phoebe said.

"Well waking up next to Chally would have been a lot creepier." I said.

"That's not what I meant." Phoebe replied.

"And why Chally?" I asked.

"Because she was awake when we needed to leave and she's vulnerable because it's too warm for her out here. Why?" Phoebe said.

"I just kind of thought you would have gone with Zari or Saphy even." I said.

"I didn't want to wake them up." Phoebe replied. "But if you'd prefer Zari I'll keep that in mind for next time."

"There better not be a next time Pheebles, I'm serious. If there's a time where I have to wake up alone, just let me wake up alone and then you can explain why yourself later." I said.

"Ok, if that's what you want." Phoebe said.

"I'd take a bullet for either of you, you know that." I said.

"We know." Phoebe replied.

"We do?" Kitty asked.

"Yes." Phoebe said.

"Well probably not in Kitty's case because she'd just walk it off, but, you know what I mean." I said.

"What?" Kitty asked.

"A bullet would kill me, they don't hurt you that much." I said.

"Then I'll take them for you." Kitty said.

" Not the worst Idea." I replied.

The sound of enemy digimon slamming against the walls and the sight of their attempts to scale them caught our attention. There was no more time to talk about this now.

"We should start pushing them back." I said.

"Right." Phoebe agreed as a handful of veggiemon managed to pull themselves over the wall. Kitty slashed at them, giving Phoebe time to get her shurikens out, by the time more came over she was ready and they didn't even make it to the ground. Another wave down and they decided that scaling the wall at that location probably wasn't the best idea, so the rest started to head for the gate, but by that point Phoebe already teleported us to the outside and then she proceeded to mow them down like some kind of psychoactive lawnmower. This left a few more woodmon which were typically more durable, but slower, though with their attack power also a lot higher they could be pretty dangerous to fight in numbers where one might be able to get a hit. They were pretty weak to fire though, to the point where I considered sending out HellBlade, my Houndoom, but decided against it, as from experience, fighting digimon with pokémon that are bound by biology and physics usually doesn't end too well. While pokémon could match them power wise, most of the time anyway, most digimon were insanely durable and the fact that some of their techniques outright ignore the laws of physics could easily catch a pokémon off guard. I didn't want to go through the fight we had with duskmon again. Thankfully the sword also enabled me to shoot fireballs, so, I just kept my distance and kept setting them on fire, which was sort of effective, but it took a concentrated effort to bring each of them down. If I got lucky I could set multiple enemies on fire with one attack, but I rarely got the chance to do so. Anyway, eventually they stopped coming, so we headed back into town, hoping to start our run to the next village before more arrived.

"It looks like they're gone for now, do you think we'll be able to move everybody back in?" A friendly kabuterimon asked us shortly after we re-entered the village.

"This village won't be safe for anyone to move back into until we can take down the dark ruler responsible." I said to the leader of the friendly digimon that had been assisting us. "They've been attacking us all night, they're not just going to stop now."

"Where would the rulers be?" The kabuterimon asked.

"Are there any landmark structures around here? Like a castle or a mansion or fortress, or I don't know a bungalow?" I asked.

"What about a particularly giant tree?" Phoebe added.

"No, just normal sized trees and other villages like this one." The kabuterimon said.

"Dungeon, cave, mine, towers?" I asked.

"Nope." The kabuterimon replied.

"A really strange looking patch of grass?" Kitty suggested.

"Nope." The kabuterimon replied.

"What? Grass isn't shelter." I said.

"Well it is if it's really tall and they're really small." Kitty replied.

I was going to ask why the dark ruler would be so small, but then I realized that some high level digimon really aren't that big, and that she did in fact have a point, if unintentional and somewhat obscure, so I let it go.

"Why would the dark ruler be so small?" Phoebe asked instead.

"Ok what about something big from the human world, like a building?" Kitty asked.

"Nope, nothing like that around here." The kabuterimon replied.

"So they could literally be based in any of the villages around here." I said.

"They could be on the move too Cj, maybe they haven't found a base yet." Phoebe suggested.

"Maybe, but I doubt it, I think we should just keep heading north, village to village, hopefully they'll run out of guys eventually." I said.

"Hopefully." Phoebe replied.

"Then we'll just have to fight other girls." Kitty said.

"No then we won't have to fight anything because they'll all be gone." I replied.

"Wahhhh?" Kitty replied.

"Kitty you're a mess." I said, which was something I said when she was being stupid about something and I just didn't feel like addressing it. Somehow in 20 years she caught on and usually took it as a cue to just let it go.

"But I'm your mess." She replied. Which more or less meant she understood.

"Yeah ok, let's go round up the others before we have more angry vegetables to deal with." I said.

"Right." Phoebe agreed.

There wasn't a hotel in town so our friends were just staying in vacant houses they found within the village, but finding them wasn't too hard as there weren't that many houses and the mechanorimon were all gathered around one of them. All of them were primitive wooden single room cabins that would've made sense in either a medieval or colonial setting, like the majority of buildings in the digital world, barring anomalies and the occasional situation where a digimon architect got creative.

Aside from that, they were also built in about 3 different scales though there were no exact standards or anything. There were small ones for small digimon that gave the impression of a dollhouse or a super-expensive playhouse for children, these were usually the most plentiful. And some villages were built entirely in this scale, they could range in size from something resembling a doghouse to complex mini-mansions with multiple stories and rooms. Then there was a normalish one for midsized digimon that most people would be comfortable with that maybe made up about a third of the buildings in town, and more rarely a gigantic one, which was rare enough that most towns and villages didn't even have any. Public buildings and hotels were usually built in a bizarre manner taking aspects of all three, featuring things like child-sized doors within giant doors that would otherwise be too big for children to even open, and ridiculously oversized furniture. Then there's some digimon that choose to forego housing entirely, as the weather and temperature don't fluctuate at all, though some areas can have different temperatures from others. There was usually a lot of variety in configurations as well as there weren't really any official standards or even sizes. Thanks to the reformation taking out most villages every few centuries things never really developed to the point where disputes over land or construction rights became relevant. There was always plenty of space, plenty of wood, and no real limit to what one could build as long as it was architecturally sound, this being one of the weird cases where some sense of physics actually applied. The village we were at was one of the ones that was able to fortify itself somewhat by building a primitive wall around it out of wooden logs. Others weren't as fortunate when the vegetable hoards arrived. Though the residents were eventually forced to retreat anyway. Thankfully the enemy wasn't smart enough to destroy it, or any of the other villages, they were merely content with absorbing the residents as per blacklilymon's orders, as the darkrulers now aggressively trying to collect as much data as possible to compensate for the ones that we had defeated.

Anyway, we sent Kitty to wake up the newbies while we went to get Henry, Claire, and Zari, ourselves.

"So uh, can you tell if they are, well?" I began to ask my beloved while standing in front of the house Henry and Claire were staying in.

"Nah they're just laying in bed snuggling like we do sometimes. I think." Phoebe replied.

"Awe so we're not interrupting anything?" I asked.

"No, go ahead and knock on the door." Phoebe replied.

"Ok." I said before walking up to the door.

"Hey guys, we need to get going there's a gap in the um uh, onslaught of enemy digimon we need to exploit so we can get to the next village faster." I said.

Henry answered the door a few seconds of awkward whispering coming from inside later.

"No way you're out of bed before us." He said.

"A thing happened, they needed Phoebe's help." I said.

"Mhm, and now we have to get going." Phoebe agreed.

"Ok, we'll be out as soon as we can." He said.

"Cool, let's go get Zari." I said.

"And then we can talk to her about the thing." Phoebe said as we started to walk towards the house she was staying in.

"Maybe." I replied.

"What do you mean maybe?" She asked.

"We're kind of in a hurry." I said.

"So? We're all going to the same place." Phoebe replied.

"Come on come on get dressed! Get out! We need to move! Go! Hurry up!" We heard Kitty yell from across the lane.

"Hey don't throw pillows at me!" Kitty yelled a few seconds later.

"You think we have enough time to watch the show?" I asked.

"Sure." Phoebe replied with a giggle.

"Phoebe you needed me?" Saphy asked as she came towards us with Chally trailing behind.

"Oh hi Saphy." Phoebe replied. "Yeah we need to get going."

"So it's not a sex thing?" Saphy asked.

"No it's not a sex thing." Phoebe replied.

"Good cause I'm not in the mood for more of your silliness today." Saphy said.

"You mean horniness?" I asked.

"Both." Saphy replied.

"Fair enough." I said with a shrug.

"Cj." Phoebe tried to scold me.

"Pheebles." I mockingly replied.

"Anyway, we were just going to watch Kitty piss off the newbies, then we were going to get Zari." I said.

"Why is she pissing off the newbies?" Saphy asked.

"Watch and find out." I replied as Kitty ran out of the house and hugged me.

"Cj they won't stop hitting me with pillows." Kitty said.

"We told you to wake them up not go in there and yell at them. I know it's not your strong point, but think for a second." I said. "Could you have done that in a way that wouldn't have made them want to hit you?"

"I don't know, could I?" Kitty asked.

"Never send her to wake us up again, I thought we were getting attacked." Illustria said as she stood in the doorway of the house.

"Right, my mistake I thought she would handle it like a competent person." I replied.

"Yeah well she just barged in here and started yelling and we're all like what the fuck is going on?" Illustria said.

"I'm sorry." Kitty said.

"It's allright, it was funny." I said.

"Say what?" Illustria asked.

"Well it was." I said.

"Excuse us Lucy." Selenia said as she left the house along with Kiera, both ready to go.

"You're dressed already?" Lucy asked.

"Yeah, we had plenty of time while you were out here talking." Selly replied.

"Guess I should get going to." Lucy said before leaving the doorway to get dressed. Meanwhile Henry and Claire joined the group and now we were all standing in the lane like a bunch of idiots.

"We good to go?" Henry asked.

"I don't know where's IceLeomon, Ninjamon, and the goddesses are." I said.

"I think they were guarding the other gate." Phoebe said.

"And his wives are with him?" I asked.

"Aren't they usually?" Phoebe asked.

"Not all the time." I replied.

"But most of it." Phoebe replied.

"True." I said.

"Why is everyone just standing around out here?" Zari asked as she approached us, having just left the house she was staying in.

"Oh hey, yeah we gotta get going." I said.

"Oh, ok." Zari said, somewhat annoyed.

"So, you, Chally, Saphy, get the bus, meet us at the south gate, newbies get your butts in the mechanorimon, you take your car as always. We'll go tell the others we're going. It's probably going to be another day like yesterday, hopefully it won't keep going like this for long, they gotta run out of digimon at some point." I said.

"That's what they always say." Henry replied.

"Yeah well, come on, not a lot of time to waste." I said.

So we split up momentarily and soon Phoebe and Kitty and I were walking alone to the south gate.

"We didn't get a chance to talk to Zari." Phoebe said.

"You'll have a chance later on the bus." I pointed out.

"Yeah, true." Phoebe agreed.

"What are you going to talk to her about?" Kitty asked.

'About being the guardian for our children. We've been over this before." Phoebe said.

"Oh, ok." Kitty replied.

"Pay attention you mess." Phoebe said.

"Only CJ can call me a mess." Kitty insisted.

"Oh really?" Phoebe asked.

"Mhm." Kitty said, feeling very annoyed.

"Really you two, again?" I asked.

"Cj we're sisters now, we're going to fight over stupid things." Phoebe said.

"Eheh, ok." I replied.

"But we still love eachother." Kitty said as she hugged Phoebe, who looked somewhat uncomfortable.

We eventually made it to the gate, and quickly located IceLeomon, as well as Ninjamon, who was talking with Mervamon, While Dianamon and Iceleomon's wives were keeping a look out.

"So you think maybe we could . . . " Ninjamon started to ask before Mervamon saw us and quickly cut him off.

"Is it time to go?" Mervamon asked, eager to get away from him.

"Yeah, it's time, the others will be here shortly." Phoebe replied.

"Right, I'll go get the rest." Mervamon said.

"I'll go with you." Ninjamon said.

"No you stay here in case we get attacked before I get back." Mervamon said.

"Ok will do." Ninjamon replied.

"I get the feeling she doesn't like me." Ninjamon said.

"Not in that way." Phoebe agreed.

"Dude, she's like five times your size." I said.

"So where's lady Saphira then?" Ninjamon asked.

"Lady Saphira?" Phoebe giggled.

"I'd say maybe, three times your size." I said.

"No genius, I mean where is she?" He asked.

"She's on the bus with Saphy, give it a few minutes she'll be here." Phoebe said.

"Do you think I'll have better luck with her?" Ninjamon asked.

"I doubt it, she's more or less with us." Phoebe replied. "She really likes Cj."

"She likes you more." I said. " Whenever I've been alone with her you're all she talks about."

To be fair, I really hadn't been alone with her that many times.

"Awwe, that's so sweet." Phoebe replied.

"And I'm with Cj so you have no chance with me at all." Phoebe said.

"Same." Kitty added as they both huggled me.

"Yeah, that was obvious." Ninjamon said.

"Hey if it's any consolation one drives me crazy on purpose and the other does it without even trying, so." I said.

"Oh but you love us." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, I do." I replied.

"But Saphy isn't really with you?" Ninjamon asked.

"She can't make up her mind." Phoebe replied.

"So if I somehow got her to like me?" Ninjamon began to ask.

"You really should talk with her about this." Phoebe interrupted.

"But you won't be mad if?" Ninjamon began to ask.

"No we're not that close. I mean we've had a few flings but, she's only been with us for a couple months or so, Cj and I've been together for four years, married for over a hundred, and he's been dating Kitty for 20 or so." Phoebe said.

"You think we were still married that whole time?" I asked.

"Did you ever stop wearing the ring?" Phoebe asked.

"No, actually." I said.

"Then I like to think we were." Phoebe replied.

"Ok, I'll let you think that." I said.

"Thankyou." She replied as she gave me a gentle squeeze.

"Even though I was married to Aranea too." I said.

"I'll let you think that." Phoebe replied.

"Well she's gone now so." I said.

"I'm just glad she was there for you." Phoebe replied.

"So, uh, about Saphy." Ninjamon asked.

"Feel free to try to get her to like you, but you're riding with Henry and Claire today." Phoebe said. "Cj and I have to make up for this morning."

"We do?" I asked.

"Yes." Phoebe replied.

"That's not really necessary." I said.

"Yeah, but we could be in there for hours who knows?" Phoebe asked.

"Your mother?" I asked.

"Eh, maybe." Phoebe replied.

"It ever bother you that she might see some of the." I began to ask.

"I know what you're going to ask and the answer is no, even if she sees it she can erase it from her own mind. And every gardevoir with that ability has to go through that at some point." Phoebe cut me off before I could finish. "So it's fine."

" I don't get it." Kitty said.

"Her mom can see the future." I said.

"She has a mom?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, so do I ." I said.

"WHAT?" Kitty asked, confused beyond all measure. "Can I meet them?"

"When we get back home." I said.

"Ok." She replied.

"Did she see my future?" Ninjamon asked.

"Not that I'm aware of." Phoebe replied. "I haven't seen her in forever. I miss her."

"Don't let it get you down Pheebles." I said.

"I'm not." Phoebe replied.

"And when we get back home things will settle back to normal after awhile, and then we'll get bored and want to go on another adventure." I said.

"Adventures in parenting." Phoebe replied.

"We'll see." I replied. "But what will happen when they grow up?"

"Then we'll all go on adventures together." She said

"That's not how it works Pheebles." I replied. "They'll go off on their own adventures, and then the three of us will be at home alone."

"Well, we'll deal with that when it happens." Phoebe replied.

"I've already dealt with it once." I said.

"I know, so you should be able to help me when it's time, right?" Phoebe asked.

"Maybe." I said.

"What's going on over here, where's the bus." Iceleomon asked as he approached us with his wives under his arms.

"It's on its way." Phoebe replied.

"Is this guy bothering you? He keeps talking to Mervamon non-stop. I told her she probably just needs to give you a good punch to shut you up." IceLeomon said.

"Oh come on, she digs me." Ninjamon said.

"You ever try talking to Dianamon?" I asked.

"Eh, too much metal for me." Ninjamon replied.

"You know that armor comes off right?" I asked.

"Mhm, and there's a real cutie inside." Phoebe said.

"Dahhh how do you know?" Ninjamon asked with noticeable concern.

"Don't think about it too much." Phoebe said as she patted him on the head to console him.

"The bus is coming." Kitty said.

"Yep it is." Phoebe said.

"Allright, well, I guess we're going to be moving soon." I said.

"Yeah." Phoebe agreed.

"Ready for some fun?" She asked me telepathically.

"Not really, you know we don't have to make up for it now, we can wait till tonight." I thought.

"Well we could, but then we'd have to make up for that night on another night and then we'll always be in debt." She replied.

"Pheebles, don't make me say it." I thought.

"Say what?" She asked.

"You're a mess." I said out loud.

"I didn't say anything Cj." Kitty replied, confused.

"No not you, Pheebles." I said.

"She didn't say anything either." Kitty replied.

"Oh, wait a minute, she must be doing that thing where she puts her voice in your head." Kitty suggested a few moments later.

"Yeah, you know about that?" I asked.

"Yeah, she tells me things sometimes." Kitty said.

"Is she mean to you?" I asked.

"No she hasn't been that mean." Kitty replied.

"Oh, so you can hear me." Phoebe said out loud.

"Yeah, but you can't hear me." Kitty said.

"Well you could nod or wink at me or something." Phoebe said.

"Great now you two can conspire against me without me knowing." I said.

"Why would we do that we love you?" Phoebe asked.

"Well, you probably won't try to hurt me, but you'll plan something." I said.

"Can you talk to me in that way?" Ninjamon asked.

"I don't need to, I don't have anything to say to you that Cj doesn't need to hear." Phoebe replied.

Our bus arrived a few minutes later and we got on.

"Can I have a word with Saphy?" Ninjamon asked.

"Sure, you can have until Henry and Claire get here." Phoebe said.

"Allright." Ninjamon said as he followed us onto the bus.

"Saphy hi how you doing?" Ninjamon asked.

"Hi ninjamon, are you riding with us today?" Saphy asked.

"No, those squares won't let me. Said I had to ride with Henry and Blondie, but hey they got another seat you could probably come do." Ninjamon said.

"I'd love too, but Phoebe and I are going to try to get some training in before we have to fight some more." Saphy said.

Surprisingly Phoebe stayed quiet.

"Oh well, maybe some other time." Ninjamon said.

"Yeah, some other time." Saphy replied.

"Hey, we about ready to go?" Henry asked from outside the door.

"Yeah, about." Zari said.

"Ninjamon that's your cue, times up." Phoebe said.

He left the bus, IceLeomon climbed onto the roof with his wives a few moments later, as the mechanorimon hovered overhead ready to go and within minutes we were heading out. A mixed group of Kabuterimon, Stingmon, Flymon, and Kuwagamon were leading the way to the next closest village, but the majority of the champions that had been fighting with us the day before stayed behind to defend their now liberated home village, though it was too early for the rookies to move back in yet.

"So Cj I think we have some time now we can make up for this morning." Phoebe said. "Kind of like yesterday."

"Can I join too?" Kitty asked.

"Of course Kitty kat." Phoebe replied. "And maybe Saphy and Chally can join too."

"Nah, just you two." I said.

"Oh come on, whenever we play cards you can't keep your eyes of Chally's chest." Phoebe said.

"So Kitty you want to go first then?" I asked, deciding to just ignore the horny little thing that was my wife.

"Really? I'd love to." She replied.

"Awesome come here." I replied as I helped her get on top of me.

"Are you kidding me you're doing this again?" Saphy said, while Chally just kept her eyes to the front of the bus, aware, but polite enough to ignore us.

"You want to come here Saphy? We got some time." Phoebe asked.

"No." Saphy blatantly refused.

"You said we were going to do some training so why don't you start by sucking Cj's cock?" Phoebe asked.

"Because I just said that to get ninjamon to go away." Saphy replied. "And now is not the time for that."

"You don't mind if it's just us do you Kitty kat?" I asked.

"No I don't, I love you." She replied. "But Phoebe might."

"I think so." Kitty replied.

I was hoping Phoebe would say something, but instead she stayed quiet and just watched us for a bit, before jealousy finally got her to speak up.

"Cj can I join in?" Phoebe asked after I continued to make out with Kitty for a while. Jealous and worried which was exactly what I was hoping for.

"Just you?" I asked.

"Yes just me." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah come closer, we can share Kitty together." I said.

"Ok, I was thinking more like we could share you." Phoebe replied. "And then maybe just the two of us can snuggle after this?"

"We'll have to get dressed right away after this and I'm not sure how much time we'll have, but ok." I said.

"Ok, move over kitty." Phoebe said as she got on her knees.

"Can you believe this?" Saphy asked Zari.

"Knowing them, yeah." Zari replied.

"Chally do you see this?" Saphy asked.

"I see, I just, it's rude to interrupt such things." Challana replied.

"Isn't it also rude to do such things while we can see?" Saphy asked.

"Yeah, but, what are we supposed to do make them stop?" Challana replied.

"Phoebe!" Saphy protested.

"What? You want in? You know this bed really wasn't meant for more than three." Phoebe said.

"I want you to be a bit more responsible." Saphy said.

"I am, I'm pleasing my husband, and our virara." Phoebe replied." Maybe you can have him for round 2 we'll see how much time we have."

"I wouldn't chance a round two." I said. "We have a little bit of time but not that much."

"Oh just kiss me you dummy." Phoebe said.

And before I could even think they both began to smother me with kisses.

'"Can I still go first?" Kitty asked.

"Mhm, you stay up here I'll make him hard for you." Phoebe replied. "Cj just relax."

-around half an hour later-

"Are you done?" Saphy asked.

"Yeah we're done. Happy now?" Phoebe asked as we snuggled together.

"ok now you both need to start getting your heads in the game." I said.

"What game?" Kitty asked.

"Just get dressed and get ready." I replied.

"Ok." Kitty replied as she got up, made it to a somewhat more open area, and digivolved.

"There, ready." She said.
"Yep." I agreed.

"We should get dressed too Pheebles." I said as she refused to let go of me.

"No, hold me for awhile." She demanded.

"OK, but only for a few minutes." I said.

"You love me baby girl?" I asked.

"See we should have tied then you'd know." She said.

"We don't have time for that." I said.

"Well how about this then? Why would I want you to hold me if I didn't love you?" She asked.

"Ok, fair enough." I replied.

"Because you're a mess." Kitty said with a smirk.

"Not as much as you." Phoebe replied.

"Girls." I said.

"Cj I told you now that we're sisters we're going to have lots of stupid fights." Phoebe said.

"You were fighting like that before you were sisters." I said.

"What kind of sisters boink eachother constantly? That's kind of messed up." Saphy commented.

"We're not that kind of sisters we're sisters in love with Cj." Phoebe said.

"Sisterwives." I suggested.

"NO, I'm you're only wife." Phoebe said.

"Only living wife." I said.

"Ok fine, but I'm you're only wife, she's our virara. You know you love me more." Phoebe insisted.

"Yeah, that's true, and I've missed you for way too long, and we've missed our kids even longer." I said.

"And we're both immortal now." I said. "Which means even if we do make it back we'll eventually outlive them."

"Did you forget about revives?" Phoebe asked.

"Oh Cj." She said before held eachother in silence for a moment.

"Saphy you're the biggest mess." Kitty said, annoyed with her constant antagonizations.

"Eheh, really?" Saphy asked.

"Why do you have to be so grumpy all the time?" Kitty asked.

"Because you three are too busy boinking eachother to take any of this seriously anymore, the digital world and many others are at stake and you can't keep your hands off of eachother." Saphy said.

"They're not touching me now." Kitty said.

"What is wrong with you?" Saphy asked.

"Saphy chill the fuck out. Seriously." Zari said.

" I agree she's being a total jalwak." Challana said.

"A what?" Saphy asked.

"Did she just call you a . . ." I said.

"Don't say it, you'll just make her more mad." Phoebe stopped me.

"Ok, fine." I replied.

"A crazy mother." Challana explained.

"You're a mother?" Kitty asked surprised.

"No what?" Saphy asked confused. "I'm not a mother, you and I both know that's not possible."

"Why can't she though is she sterile or?" Phoebe asked.

"No it's complicated. I'll just put it this way, ok, she looks real, she feels real, she can eat for crying out loud, but she doesn't have to, She can breathe, but she has no lungs, she has a heartbeat, but she has no heart. " I said.

"She can fuck, and she obviously enjoys sex, but she has no internal reproductive organs." Phoebe added.

"Of course you're going to go there you horny little weirdo." I replied.

"And she gets wet." Phoebe pointed out. "But that doesn't explain why she can't have babies."

"Basically, her body is composed entirely of code, and while she has a very real looking and plausible appearance, she completely defies physics just as much as more bizarre looking digimon."

"So where does all the food she eats go?" Phoebe asked.

"It just disappears after a while, like the water in the shower. "

"Well how deep do her lady parts go?" Phoebe asked.

"Would you be surprised if I told you they didn't bother telling me that?" I asked.

"Did you ask them?" Phoebe asked.

"No, and I don't really want to know. I don't even know if they tested for that and I never bothered to ask them." I said.

"If you keep asking stuff like that I'm going to get up and get dressed." I replied.

"And what did you mean when you asked Kitty if she thought she could take me?" Phoebe asked.

" Oh you goofball, come here." Phoebe replied as we held eachother close and quietly listened in on the digibabes having some sort of argument.

"No I didn't adopt, no I didn't get a pet, no I don't have a car, Kitty for the last time, I'm not a mother." A very annoyed Saphy said.

"But she called you a crazy mom." Kitty said.

"It's a figure of speech you twit! We've been over this. It means that, actually what does it mean?" Saphy replied.

"That you're a very loud, condescending, and obnoxious woman." Challana explained.

"It means that I'm a . . . wait a minute, you think I'm loud and obnoxious?" Saphy asked.

"Actually she's usually pretty quiet." Phoebe chimed in.

"Yeah usually." I agreed.

"She's just mad cause we were back here making love Chally, you don't have to be mean." Phoebe defended.

"Well you were kind of being a mess babe, from what I heard." I said.

"Yeah, maybe." Kitty replied.

"But Saphy you've kind of been really grumpy lately, are you sure you're not just slightly jealous or something?" Phoebe asked.

"I'm not jealous it's just, do you even realize how high the stakes are?" Saphy asked.

"Do you realize how many god-damned times we've been in this situation?" I asked.

"Mhm, so when it's time for round two I want you over here, you too Chally." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles, no round 2." I said.

"We'll see how things go." Phoebe insisted.

"No round 2." I replied.

"Oh don't be such a buzz kill." Phoebe said.

"Don't be such a weirdo Pheebles." I said, imitating her intonations.

"mmmmmmm." She moaned in annoyance.

"mmmmmmm." I copied her.

"Rrrrrrrr." She growled, sounding more playful than angry.

"Rrrrrrrr." I growled in return.

"I'm a total buzzkill." She said.

"Yep.' I agreed.

"Cj." She protested.

"Pheebles." I replied, once again copying her intonations.

"Did you really think that was going to work?" I asked.

"No, I just thought you would play along." Phoebe replied.

"Oh Pheebles, I love you baby, but you're really draining me dry." I said as I gave her a quick kiss before sitting up and locating my clothes.

"Love you, you big buzzkill." She replied.

"Kitty said you could go ten rounds a day." She said as I got dressed.

"Yeah well, Kitty is Kitty, and Kitty is pretty, and Kitty is also a you know what." I said before getting up.

"I am not." Kitty protested.

"Not a what?" I asked.

"What?" She asked, confused.

"What are you not?" I asked.

"A bagel? A chair? A neblong? I don't know." Kitty asked.

"What are you even guessing?" Saphy asked.

"Things that I'm not." Kitty replied.

"Isn't that basically everything but you?" Saphy replied.

"No, it's um, I don't know, maybe." Kitty replied.

"She's our virara." Phoebe said as she approached us after throwing her dress back on.

"That she is, but we're listing things she's not, apparently." I said.

"A virgin?" Phoebe suggested.

Saphy and I rolled our eyes.

"A jalwak." Challana suggested.

"A fluffmufferson." Kitty said.

"A what?" Phoebe asked.

"God, Kitty, you remember those?" I asked.

"Mhm." Kitty replied.

"That's a real thing?" Phoebe asked.

"It's basically a doughnut, but it's square." I said.

There were a bunch of different varieties as well, different frostings, sprinkles, nuts, fruits, etc.

"No way you're making that up." Saphy said in disbelief.

"He's not, I've seen them." Zari defended me.

"You ever been to a Krimkram's?" I asked.

"A couple times." Zari replied.

"Krimkram's made the best fluffmuffersons I swear."

"Mhm." Kitty agreed.

"And then they closed and I haven't seen one in like 10 years." I said.

"Yeah, it was sad." Kitty said. "Remember when I got a job there?"

"Oh you mean the job you never went to the interview for, and then you just randomly showed up and started working one day because you were bored?"

"Mhm." Kitty agreed.

"How did that go?" Phoebe asked.

"Well that's the thing, the manager wasn't there that day and the only other staff was this high school kid, and they were expecting a new hire, not her, some other high school girl to show up, but for some bizarre reason they never did, so this kid puts her in the system, she works there the rest of the day, and over the next few weeks she went there maybe 5 more days before they fired her for not showing up every day. By the time the manager actually found out what happened, they already fired her so they decided not to do anything about it, I swear it was probably the dumbest thing I've ever seen, and it wasn't even her fault."

"It doesn't sound too surprising that they closed then." Phoebe said.

"Oh that was like a full 5 years before they actually closed." I said.

"Working there was boring anyway, I had to wear this stupid uniform and I couldn't eat any of the fluffmuffersons." Kitty said.

"You made some money though." I said.

"Yeah, I guess." Kitty said.

"Bought some more rings.' I replied.

"Mhm." Kitty agreed.

"What did you do while she was there?" Phoebe asked.

"I went to the beach with my grandson and his family." I said.

"Awwwwwe." Phoebe replied. "Did you see any bikini babes?"

"It was a public beach, of course there were women there." I said.

"Did you play with any of the bikini babes?" Phoebe asked.

"Zari." I replied.

"She doesn't count." Phoebe replied. "I mean while you were there."

"Pheebles, I was there with my family, aside from Kitty, who was living with me at the time, I had her, there wasn't any point in seeking anyone else." I said. "She was my angel, like you were once, but hey if you want me to go bang a few beach babes so bad, we'll just have to find a beach." I said.

"Nonononono, that's not what I meant, you're not allowed to sleep with anybody unless I say so." Phoebe replied.

"Awe, it's nice to know you still care Pheebles." I said.

"I never stopped caring." She said as she hugged me.

"I care too." Kitty said as she hugged both of us.

"Saphy come on, it's just a hug." Phoebe said.

"Fine." Saphy finally relented and joined in our weird group hug. Then Chally did too moments later without even saying anything.

"How'd we get started on this?" I asked after we stopped hugging.

"I don't know." Kitty replied.

"Awe well." I said.

"Is there anything interesting up ahead Zari?" Phoebe asked.

"Trees, trees, and more trees." Zari replied.

"These trees aren't interesting." Phoebe replied.

"I know, they all look the same." Zari replied.

"Are we still going the right way?" I asked.

"The stingmon is still up ahead." Zari said.

"Ok, awesome." I said.

"He probably saw you earlier." Zari said.

"Nah he's too far away." Phoebe replied.

"Are you sure?" Zari teased.

"Yes." Phoebe replied.

"You sure he didn't see your weird little boobs?" Zari asked.

"Hey you know they aren't that little." Phoebe replied.

"I mean look they're not even completely back to normal yet." She said as she squished them together to demonstrate.

"I guess the table kind of blocks a lot of the view of your bed from here doesn't it?" Zari said as she looked in the mirror.

"Yeah, it does it's all we can see when we're laying down is the back of that bench, and we got trash bags over the windows so nobody can really see from the outside." Phoebe said.

"But Saphy and Chally could see you?" Zari asked

"Well they didn't want to join and Cj was already starting to make out with Kitty." Phoebe said.

"You said only 3 would fit on the bed." Saphy pointed.

"You know we made five work before." Phoebe replied.

"You fit five back there?" Challana asked.

"Well when somebody gets on top of somebody it makes more room." Phoebe said. "We just got back and it had been awhile since we've done anything with Zari so we had some fun."

"You're crazy." Chally replied.

"Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so." Saphy said.

"You're not the only one." I replied.

"I probably deserve that." Phoebe agreed.

"So you admit you have a problem?" I asked.

"Yeah. My problem is I love you too much and we got separated for too long." She replied.

"You got the second part right." I said.

"Well what do you think it is?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't know, I just want you to settle down a little bit, ok?" I said.

"I'll try for you." She replied. "But no guarantees and I don't even want you kissing Kitty without my permission anymore."

"Awe come on why?" Kitty asked.

"Ok fine." I said.

"What why would you agree to that?" Kitty asked.

"You can kiss him he can't kiss you, and no tongues ever or you won't be allowed to touch him at all." Phoebe said.

"Ok, come here CJ." Kitty said.

"Not right now Kitty Kat." I replied.

"Kitty don't try to make me mad either." Phoebe said.

"I'm not trying to make you mad I just want to kiss Cj." Kitty said.

"Yeah, to try to see what I would do." Phoebe replied. " To try to make me mad."

"Really girls?" I asked.

"Cj I told you." Phoebe began to say.

"Yeah, you're sisters now you're going to fight all the time over stupid shit yatta yatta yatta." I cut her off.

"Mhm." Phoebe agreed.

"But seriously?" I asked.

"Oh just deal with it. We both love you." Phoebe replied. "And I know you love me and you married me again so for better or worse we're together forever."

"Yeah we'll find a way to make this work somehow." I said.

"Mhm." She agreed.

"Well it worked for our queens, so I guess it could work for you." Challana said.

"It will work, we'll make work, there's nothing we can't do together." Phoebe said. "Now you want to play some cards or something, until we come across some more evil plants?"

"Ok." Chally replied.

"Sure." Saphy replied.

"Cool. Cj, Kitty, come on, you're on my team." Phoebe said.

"A team based card game?" I asked in confusion.

"Yeah I'll make it up as we go along." Phoebe said.

"Ok." I replied.

"Saphy and Chally can be on the other team." Phoebe replied as she retrieved the deck of cards from the luggage rack.

-20 minutes later-

Phoebe made the rules of a game so complicated that she was the only one that seemed to know what was going on. There seemed to be some sort of game somewhere in her mess of instructions, but none of us could really find it.

"So you drew a five, so you have to get up and sing a song." Phoebe said.

"What does that have to do with anything?" Chally asked.

"Well if we like your song you can draw more cards, and get more blue points." Phoebe said.

"Are those the ones you can buy stuff with or the ones you need to win?" I asked.

"No you buy stuff with the yellow points and you need red points to win. If you get enough blue points you can choose not to do what the act card tells you to do." Phoebe said.

"Well why even have an act card if it's just its own system?" I asked.

"Because you need it to draw more money cards. And get more green points." Phoebe said.

"What do the green points do again?" I asked.

"If you get enough of them you can convert them into any other point," Phoebe said.

"You'd think the money cards would give you money points." I said.

"Well all the yellow points do is buy more cards of various types. acts, trivia, or applied quantum mechanics" Phoebe said. "Green points can buy anything."

"Then shouldn't they be the money points?" I asked.

"Exactly." Phoebe replied.

"So I'm supposed to sing a song?" Chally asked.

"Yeah, for blue points." Phoebe said.

"So if you spend blue points do you get blue points?" I asked.

"No you just don't have to do what the card says, and then you get three more cards of either trivia, money, or mathmatics." Phoebe said.

"Oh no there's math in this?" Kitty asked.

"What if she's not good at singing?" I asked.

"Then she only gets one more card, but if she's really good she can get 5." Phoebe said.

"Anybody just wanna play go fish instead?" I asked.

"Yes please." Saphy replied.

"Awe but you're winning." Phoebe said.

"All I did was draw a three and spin around 3 times." Saphy replied.

"Yeah, it was funny, I gave you five points." Phoebe said. "Then you drew a lot of high cards which is going to be very difficult for anyone to beat on their first turn."

"I thought there were teams?" I asked.

"Yeah there are, we get to judge their acts and they get to judge ours." Phoebe said.

"Why can't there be purple points?" Kitty asked.

"There are, but we haven't gotten to the second phase yet." Phoebe said.

"Oh god there's a second phase?" I asked.

"Yeah, why wouldn't there be?" Phoebe asked.

"Because this is a card game, with playing cards, it's not supposed to be super complicated with rules only you're going to remember, if even." I said.

"Well it's not that complicated and you'll remember it if we all play it a few times." Phoebe said.

"What's the second phase?" Kitty asked.

"Look Pheebles, baby girl, why don't you just write down the rules somewhere and we'll go over it later Ok? That way we know this is a game and not just a bunch of random rules." I said.

"Oh, ok." Phoebe replied. "And we'll play it later right?"

"Yeah if you keep it g-rated." I said.

"You mean E rated, g is for movies." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah." I agreed.

"And you'll help me with it?" Phoebe asked.

"Of course, it will give you something else to do aside from me." I said.

"Do we have any paper?" Phoebe asked.

"No we don't, fuck." I said.

"I have a pen and a notebook." Zari said.

"Can I borrow it?" Phoebe asked.

"Just don't use it all up." Zari replied.

And so Phoebe started to write while I played go fish with Kitty and the other girls, before later switching to poker after a few rounds.

The newbies in the mechanorimon spotted the enemy first. The red laser beams quickly alerted us that something wasn't right and after a few seconds of preparation we followed them straight into the enemy formation, and so the daily slog began. I could make it sound all awesome and cool and stuff, but at the end of the day, it was just a slog. The enemy kept coming, and kept throwing themselves at us, but despite their best efforts not a single one of them was strong enough to make us feel like we were in any actual danger. It was work, it was a job, it was just something we had to do to keep going. They seemed to be thinning out though, we'd take on maybe twenty of them at a time then we would get back on the bus and ride for a few minutes, until we would come across another small group. We didn't even have to worry about getting tired because they were so spread out.

-later that evening-

"We lost teams a-z, they've almost made it to the next village, we can't keep fighting them like this we're losing." An enemy stingmon messenger said only for BlackLillymon to promptly kill him. They were the best messengers she could employ since she was constantly on the move.

"Weaklings, I knew they would be too pathetic to stop them. DarkVioletmon, go and buy me as much time as you can" Blacklillymon commanded.

"You want me to die for you?" DarkVioletmon asked.

." I'll see to it that Deusmon resurrects you later." Blacklilymon lied.

"Yes mam, sure thing." Darkvioletmon said before walking away, not trusting her at all, infected with data from the darkzone itself, she wasn't as delusional as the others. BlackLillymon made the mistake of thinking this darkness within her would make her even more loyal to her cause, but it actually had the opposite effect, Darkvioletmon was simply using her from the get go, to see if she could take any of deusmon's power for herself, dying for her, was not an option, so she had a different idea.

-sometime after reaching the next village and retiring for the night.-

"Cj I'm still working on my game, maybe it will be ready tomorrow." Phoebe said as soon the moment I got on the bus. She was sitting at the table still writing down stuff for her game.

"You're still working on that? I wondered where you went, I thought maybe you wanted to go out into the forest and have some fun and I just completely missed the cue or something."

"Why would I go out there now? It's dangerous." Phoebe replied.

"I don't know, seems like something you would do." I said.

"Where's Kitty?" Phoebe asked.

"She fell asleep by the fire, I figured I'd just let her sleep." I said.

"Good so I don't have to tell her to leave us alone tonight." Phoebe said.

"No you don't." I replied.

"Wait you actually want to be alone with me?" I asked.

"Of course, you're my husband." Phoebe replied.

"Well that's nice to know." I said.

"You want me Cj?" She asked.

"After the snooze fest that was today, hell yes." I said. "Get your cute little butt over here you naughty little gardevoir."

"I'm not cute I'm sexy." Phoebe replied.

"That brings back memories." I said as she came up and hugged me.

"We'll play with Chally and Zari tomorrow, but tonight it's just us." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles." I replied, unamused at her lack of change.

"We need to make it up to them, ok?" Phoebe asked. "Then I promise I promise I promise it will just be us and maybe Kitty for a while unless you want to share someone else with me."

"I guess we do need to make it up to them." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe replied.

"Pheebles, how about this? I'll go along with all this crazy stuff, but when I just want you, I just want you, ok? And when I'm too tired I'm too tired. Because I love sharing these women with you, but, there's limits, ok."

"Ok." She replied.

"Now come here, let's have some fun, we both deserve it after today." I said.

"Ooh Cj." She replied as I pulled her close.

I kissed her on the cheek, then on the lips, then we started to make out, and then that led to the obvious, a night of sweet passionate lovemaking with the woman I still loved more than anything. In stark contrast to the boring and forgettable day, I hadn't had a night like that with her in far too long.
