71. Chapter 71

Eventually we reached the northern edge of the forest which opened up into a somewhat hilly grassland, only a few hundred miles to the west of where we first entered the digital world. The hills ranged in size and were all over the place. It was a pretty beautiful area, reminiscent of a desktop background. The consistent greenness and size of the grass, and the inconsistent size of the hills gave it a somewhat unnatural look, however. Much like the forest of nearly identical trees, here we had hills, but no wind that could ever have formed them. We had grass, but no flowers or weeds, except for the occasional digiroot flower, which were a lot easier to find here than in the forest, though I couldn't tell if it was because they were more common, or just because there were a lot less trees around.

Without very few trees to avoid, we could drive a lot faster, we just had to avoid the bigger hills, we started heading in the vague direction of the big city complex thing, and eventually it appeared on the horizon. Volkheim and the bubblemen were nowhere to be seen as at this point they had gone much farther north, still thinking we were already up there, without vehicles they couldn't travel as fast as we could, so they were still traveling at the moment.

The city was almost empty now, which was a bit disturbing, but atleast the hotel was still intact so our group had somewhere nice to stay while we waited for the goddesses to catch up. Every other building just seemed like some big liminal space. It seemed that some digimon still lived in the higher floors of the taller buildings, but there used to be a lot more here than that and they seemed to be very shy and timid and unwilling to even interact with us, but they could be seen peeking out from high up windows, and occasionally small flying digimon such as biyomon would emerge from them and fly over the rooftops to others, but other than that they seemed to go out of their way to avoid contact with us. And if we ever came across a group of them they would ask us to leave them alone and nothing more and they felt so threatened that some would respond with violence if pressed further. So we kept track of where they all were, but otherwise left them alone. Phoebe kept putting Blacklilymon to sleep over and over again, so keeping her contained was no real trouble. Darkvioletmon stuck around for some reason, but her presence was barely even noticeable, at times we forgot she was even still traveling with us, she rarely said anything at all and kept her distance from the rest of the group. Phoebe, among others, tried her best to get her to open up, but to no avail. She seemed to be in her own world most of the time. Henry, Claire, Zari, and even Iceleomon's wives tried with similar levels of success. Nobody could get her to do anything more than maybe look them in the eyes for a few seconds.

Kiera kept experimenting with the mechanorimon, attempting to find their limits as well as attempting to develop new fighting techniques, but even with Zari's help there wasn't much to work with here. They may look like machines, but really they are digimon, there's no way to open them up and see how they work, and there is especially no way to modify them, there is also a distinct lack of objects of appropriate size and weight for them to brandish as weapons. She tried to break one of the streetlights, to use it as such, but it turned out to be indestructible like nearly everything else in this city. None of the pokémon or digimon we had with us could even dent the thing, couldn't even break the light out.

By the time the goddesses arrived we had explored almost every inch of that city section, which amounted to maybe 20 commercial city blocks or so, before the roads abruptly ended, an island of pavement surrounded by a vast grassy plain. Areas of interest included the hotel, the tiny amusement park, the top of the tallest office building, and a subway station, with tracks that lead into pitch black darkness and presumably stop abruptly when they get to the edge of the city just like the roads and sidewalks. Unsurprisingly no trains ever arrived. We didn't bother exploring the tracks any further because it was just too dark and creepy, but there was no reason to believe they continued beyond the edge of the city. They weren't trailmon lines either, just regular subway tracks.

There was also a convenience store with a lot of drinks and ice cream, which looked fine, but were trapped permanently inside a non-functioning freezer. Everything else from candy bars to sunglasses had already been taken by digimon that had found the place long before we did. As expected, none of the brands on any of the drinks were familiar, but seemed believable. Interestingly enough there were some bottles of milk in one of the freezers, dated to expire in 1996, though they had been sitting in a non-working freezer for who knows how long, it still looked white and drinkable. Drink brands included FizzWiz, which had a typical assortment of different flavors of soda, strawberry, orange, lemon-lime grape, root beer, something called abberry, ect. It came in pepsi blue cans with a little stereotypical wizard cartoon on them and a stripe with a color appropriate for the flavor. Red Lightning was another brand and probably some sort of dr. pepper equivalent, came in a black and red stripped can or white and red striped for the diet version. The bottles had a similar style on the label and showed that it was a dark liquid of some sort, further evidence that it was something like Dr. pepper. Tokyola Cola, was presumably some type of cola with a black can decorated with a silver outline of the Tokyo tower. Can was labeled in both English and what was probably some form of Japanese, the diet version inverted the color scheme, silver background, black tower. Finally there was the Kanga brand, which had an upwards slanted logo in a font similar to sprite, alongside a cartoon depiction of a jumping kangaroo, and offered root beer, cream soda, cola, diet versions of those, and then red cream soda. With cans in an appropriate shade of brown depending on the flavor, and the diet varieties coming in lighter shades.

After spending a few minutes looking for familiar brands to no avail, and enjoying some of the more interesting packaging designs. Phoebe left for a moment, then came back with a stick from one of the "normal" trees that dotted the landscape outside the city. She then used it to glitch her way through the door, by jamming it into the door with her ability to teleport, somehow doing that made the glass turn into a solid panel of wood, which was thin enough that it could be broken pretty easily with just a few solid kicks. The bottles and cans turned out to be full of actual liquid, and impossible to open or puncture without using the tele fragging method, turning them into fragile pieces of pretty much paper thin wood that almost immediately cracked, shattered and spilled its contents all over the floor, and also erased all the labeling. Sadly the contents, which were unaffected by the glitch, all tasted like room temperature water, despite the color, the fizziness, or whatever it said it was supposed to be on the can or bottle. Also no matter how carefully Phoebe tried to open them, the can or bottle would always fall apart shortly after being glitched, it was just too thin and brittle. Presumably the ice cream wasn't any better, or the candy that had surely been here before being taken by digimon which I now wondered why they took because it was very doubtful they could even get it open. Anyway, we headed back to the hotel mystified and empty handed, and spent the rest of the day playing around with each other in bed and in the shower.

Illustria, Selenia, and Saphy of course spent most of their time in the pool, making good eye-candy. Occasionally the others would be there as well, but not as often as those two, and Saphy as usual basically lived there and Kitty avoided it like the plague, Henry and Claire went exploring on their own, like us basically, but we always ended up going to different places. They told us about the convenience store on the first day, so we went there on the second day while they went somewhere else. Sometimes Kitty would come with us, otherwise she'd hang around with IceLeomon's wives or with Chally, who she now seemed to buddy up with when we weren't around. Probably because we were all on the bus together. Other times we'd come back from wherever we had gone and find her sleeping in our bed. Chally liked to go exploring too, but she had never been here before so most of what she found were things we had already seen, including the amusement park.

Ninjamon initially started spending time at the pool, purely just to watch the girls for the first few days, until Saphy got annoyed with him and decided to kick him out, then he spent a day trying to get Darkvioletmon to talk to him, with the same amount of success as everyone else, he didn't even manage to annoy her. Then he bugged Zari and Kiera, who at that point where just about to give up on finding ways to make the mechanorimon more effective. The day after that they were at the pool, which Saphy guarded vehemently. And so he spent it hanging out with IceLeomon, inevitably ending up with them sparring against each other. Then he inevitably got the tar beat out of him and Saphy relented and let him hang out around the pool again, the same day Phoebe and I decided to take the newbies out to the amusement park, since Chally had brought it up the other day. Daily exploratory expeditions allowed us to get back in touch and communicate with Henry and Claire. All in all, it was a good opportunity to increase the unity of our team, so by the time the goddesses caught up we were as tight as ever.

-The day before the goddesses arrived-

I woke up between Kitty and Phoebe, I had a few moments to myself before Phoebe woke up, and Kitty stayed fast asleep and would probably remain asleep for the next half hour or so. I never understood how she could spend so much time sleeping and then still almost always wake up late, but that meant Phoebe and I could whisper to each other alone for a bit.

"What you want to do today baby girl?" I asked after looking into her eyes in silence for a moment.

"I don't know, I just woke up." She replied.

"Fair enough." I said.

"Is Kitty still here?" She asked.

"Yeah, and I think she's still asleep." I said.

"Good, that means we can sneak off to the shower." Phoebe said.

"Yep." I replied.

"Well let's go then." She said as she wrenched herself out of bed.

"Already?" I asked.

"Mhm." She replied.

- About a minute later, in the shower, while we were actually showering-

"Maybe we could connect more with the newbies, we haven't really done much with them in a while." Phoebe said answering the question I had asked her barely a minute ago.

"Do you have anything in mind?" I asked.

"Well that amusement park is still there. Chally said she checked it out yesterday, but she couldn't get anything to work so she didn't stay there very long. Somebody must have turned it all off after we left. " Phoebe said.

"Did we get it to work last time? I don't remember." I asked.

"Yeah, but we kind of got interrupted." Phoebe replied as she touched my head to fill it with the appropriate memories."

"You remember now?" She asked.

"Oh yeah." I said ."Hey we could bring our pokémon along too."

"Yeah that's a great Idea." Phoebe said.

"I guess we got it all figured out then." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe replied.

"Now what do you want to do?" I asked.

"I think you know." She replied.

"Get really clean?" I asked.

"We're already clean." She replied as she cupped my balls.

"You know what I want you naughty boy." She said.

"Ok, come here baby girl." I said as I pulled her into a kiss.

"I love you." She said with a cute giggle.

"Love you." I replied, before we began our typical morning routine. A few minutes later we finished, got out of the shower, got dressed and went off in search of the newbies while Kitty was still asleep.

"You can read them can't you?" I asked as we made our way down the stairs.

"Of course, but Lucy is still asleep and Selly and Chally are just waking up, we should give them some time." Phoebe replied.

"And Kiera?" I asked.

"Outside, with Zari. Still playing with the mechanorimon I guess, she's pretty far away." Phoebe said.

"As much time as she's spent working on that one you'd think she'd get a digivice by now." I said.

"I know right, but maybe it's not always the same one?" Phoebe replied.

"Maybe, you can't really tell though." I said.

They were literally all identical.

"Maybe she keeps asking for the same one?" Phoebe asked.

"Maybe." I replied.

We both headed outside and over to the adjacent parking garage where the other 2 mechanorimon seemed to enjoy hanging out, either that or somebody told them to go there without telling me.

"Where's Kiera and the other one of you?" I asked.

"574 IS APPROXIMATELY 345.556 METERS TO THE NORTHEAST, 682, 458, AND 783 ARE OUT OF RANGE, LAST KNOWN TO BE SAFE AND ALIVE." Said the one on the right.

"6th STREET." The other added.

"Northeast got it." I said.

"And on 6th street." Phoebe said as we quickly walked away before they could say anything more.

"That's a thing?" I asked.

"Yeah, there's street signs." Phoebe said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes look up here I'll show you." Phoebe said.

"And they're all different?" I asked.

"Yes." Phoebe." See that's fifth street that the hotel is on, sixth is the next one up."

"How many are there?" I asked.

"I don't remember." Phoebe said. "Also the mechanorimon have numbers apparently."

"I wonder how they tell each other apart?" I asked.

"Probably the same way they communicate, through radio." Phoebe said.

"Yeah probably." I replied.

A few minutes later we found Kiera, Zari, and the third mechanorimon, trying to pick up various objects along the side of the street, including light posts, mailboxes, decorative trees, and bollards.

"How's the training going?" Phoebe asked.

"Still trying to find useable weapons, but everything is stuck to the ground." Kiera said.

"Yeah that's the nature of this place, the digimon didn't build it. The digital world didn't generate it naturally. It just kind of appeared here for some reason that will probably never be understood." I said.

"I've been trying to help her teach this thing how to fight more effectively. I don't know if it's learning anything or not. Going to have to test it against one of the others." Zari said.

"That's about the only way." Phoebe replied.

"Then you'll train the others right?" I asked.

"If it works and we get the time." Zari said.

"Did you try breaking a few sticks off the trees outside the city? Those are normal you can break those." Phoebe said.

"I tried that while we were still in the forest, they're too fragile, I can only get one or two hits out of them before they snap, but it's too weak to just use the whole tree." Kiera said.

"So, since you're not having much luck here, why don't you take a break in a bit and come with us and the other newbies to the amusement park?" Phoebe asked.

"You think I'm a newbie?" Kierra asked.

"Well you hang out with them all the time anymore, even more than Chally does." Phoebe said.

"And we kind of need to touch base with you three, and reconnect, and maybe, have a little something." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles." I objected.

"Oh now you want us? Well it doesn't seem like Cj is onboard." Kierra asked.

"Oh don't worry about him, we'll get your nails done, and then you can just let him play with your feet for a bit he'll do anything for you."

"Pheebles!" I said.

"Good to know." Kiera said.

"If I cheat on you with her it's all your fault now." I thought.

"No it's not cause I know you won't." Phoebe replied through telepathy..

"And we'll get Celly and Lussy to do the same." Phoebe continued.

"What about Chally?" Kierra asked.

"Oh we've already had our fun with Chally haven't we Cj?" Phoebe asked.

"Huh?" I asked.

"And her warm black boobs and her white hot lady bits, and her hot pink toes all over your cock, I told her she should have went with blue, but, she picked that herself.." Phoebe continued.

Zari chuckled.

"And you too Zari, you're not getting out of this unscathed. We both love to see those big red melons of yours, I especially like watching them bounce when you" Phoebe said.

"See what I gotta deal with?" I asked, interrupting her.

I grabbed her by the arms and spun her around so I could look into her eyes.

"wooooah, Cj what are you doing?" Phoebe asked.

"You know I love you most of all, you stupid gardevoir." I said.

"I know." Phoebe said before I pulled her into a kiss.

"So you can stop trying to embarrass everyone" I said as our hands locked together.

"Why are you doing that, you little weirdo?" I asked.

"Because it makes you do things like this." She replied.

"Well you could just ask." I said.

"It's not the same. I like driving you crazy, you know that by now." She replied.

"Yeah I know, all too well." I said as she turned back around and playfully grabbed my hands.

"So anyway Kiera you should come with us." She said as she gently set my arms around her stomach.

"Yeah, ok, I was just about to give up on this anyway." Kiera said.

"Great, we'll be back at the hotel for a bit waiting on the others to get ready." Phoebe said.

"Ok." Kiera said.

"I'll stay here and let you know if I make any progress with these lumbering tincans." Zari said.

"Maybe one of you will get a digivice." Phoebe said.

"Maybe, but either way if we could make these things fight more effectively, we could become a lot stronger. " Zari said.

"Yeah, that's very true." Phoebe said.

"You'll have to wait till the goddesses get back with the other three." I said.

"Yeah, well that should be any day now don't you think?" Zari asked.

"Hopefully." I said.

"Did you check on sleeping beauty yet?" Zari asked.

"Yeah I wouldn't worry about her too much, she's practically a vegetable at this point." Phoebe said.

"I wouldn't count on it Pheebles, you know digimon are ridiculously durable." I said.

"Yeah, but when you put people to sleep for that long, with my powers, it can really screw up their brain." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, but Pheebles she doesn't even have a brain, just data that reacts in a manner that makes it seem like she has one." I said.

"Yeah, but if it reacts accurately enough she should be a vegetable by now." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, but we don't know how accurate it is, if anything all evidence points to the contrary. You know how many times Kitty has been shot in what should be her heart at point blank range? She definitely feels it, but it's not fatal to her, and well, it's Kitty. Their mortality seems to be based mainly on just sheer damage sustained rather than what parts get hit or not. And it got to the point where she was literally just expected to take shots for others. It was one of the things that helped me get her promoted actually, in spite of all the other stuff." I said.

"How long does it take her to heal?" Phoebe asked.

"A couple hours, depends on the severity, about the same time it takes a defeated digimon to regain a corporeal form." I said.

"Well then, I have no idea." Phoebe said.

"Right." I replied.

"Well see you two later." Phoebe said . "Come on then Cj, let's go."

-once we were alone, on our walk back to the hotel.-

"Well, if she's not a vegetable, maybe that's good then, maybe we can save her." Phoebe said. "And then we can have two beautiful flowers to deflower."

"Yeah, good luck with that. Have you even seen Darkvioletmon around recently?" I asked.

"Yeah ninjamon was bugging her the other day." Phoebe said.

"Yeah and she just stood there, silently, the whole time, staring off into the distance. Nobody has been able to get her to say anything at all. Ninjamon couldn't even manage to annoy her. And you think you're going to get her to agree to a foursome?" I asked.

"What now you're doubting me? Look how many girls I got for you." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, and all of them actually try to communicate. I don't know what her deal is or why she's still following us around, but I think we should probably just leave her alone." I said.

"Ok, but I'm not giving up on the other one." Phoebe said.

"But you know how she still thinks Kitty is some sort of goddess? Which is probably why she's following us too by the way." Phoebe asked.

"What you want Kitty to seduce her for you?" I asked.

"Kind of." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles, it's Kitty. I said, she's great but, there's a huge risk she could find out she's not who she thinks she is. And then what could happen? She could turn on us again. " I said.

"That's why we need to seduce her, so she won't." Phoebe said.

"Oh, god, Pheebles, ugh, Kitty isn't going to agree to this anyway you know that right?" I asked, feeling slightly annoyed with her.

"Yeah well we'll just have to see." Phoebe said.

-several minutes later back at our hotel room.

At this point, the newbies were still doing their own morning routines, aside from Lussy who was still asleep, so we did have a few minutes or so to kill.

"Well there she is." I said quietly as Kitty was still curled and asleep.

"Still asleep?" Phoebe quietly asked.-

"Yeah that's like her favorite thing next to looking for rings and gardening." I said, quietly.

"Wake up Fluffybutt! We need you!" Phoebe said, way louder than necessary.

"What?" Kitty yelled as she rolled onto her back, somewhat surprised.

"Oh my gosh, Phoebe don't do that, I hate it." Kitty said. "What do you need anyway?"

"You remember how Blackvioletmon thinks you're some kind of goddess?" Phoebe asked.

"She does?" Kitty asked.

"You forgot already?" Phoebe asked.

"Cj, do you know what she's talking about?" Kitty said as she got up and hugged me.

"Awwe good morning Kitty kat." I said.

"You don't remember, before we caught BlackLillymon?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't talk to loud humans." Kitty said.

"I'm am not a human. You should know this by now." Phoebe replied.

"But you are loud." Kitty said.

"Kitty kat." I scolded her.

"She woke me up." Kitty replied.

"Yeah I know. She could've been a bit nicer couldn't she?" I asked.

"Mhm." Kitty replied as we both glared at her menacingly.

"So what's this about?" Kitty asked a few moments later.

"She has it in her head that you can use your power over Darkvioletmon in order to seduce her for us so we can have a foursome." I explained.

"No, no, no, absolutely no, never yes, just no." Kitty said.

"Oh come on Kitty Kat why not?" Phoebe asked.

"Because, sister, I'm your virara, not her. And Cj doesn't seem to approve either, and you need to calm down." Kitty said.

"Yeah I'm not too fond of the idea at this point." I added.

"When are you ever fond of any of my ideas?" Phoebe asked.

"When nothing can possibly go wrong." I said.

"Cj, something can go wrong any second. It doesn't matter what we do." Phoebe said.

"You know what I mean Pheebles." I said.

"Cj said he needs me to help keep you under control." Kitty said.

"Oh he did?" Phoebe asked.

"So I'm not helping you with this." Kitty said.

"Good Kitty Kat." I said before kissing her on the cheek.

"Don't kiss her. I didn't give you permission." Phoebe objected.

"Awwwe, you want some attention too Pheebles?" I asked.

"I want a kiss too." She said. "And a hug."

"Of course baby girl." I replied.

"A French kiss." Phoebe said as I started to approach her.

"Pheebles." I scolded.

"Or I'll be jealous and sad for the rest of the day." Phoebe said.

"Oh don't be ridiculous." I said as I quickly kissed her on the lips.

"There that's all you're getting until tonight." I said.

"Mmmph, you remember that?." She moaned, knowing full well she had said the same to be before.

"Of course baby girl, you're the love of my life." I said.

"Ok." She replied, feeling somewhat better.

"And you probably said it on the ship a few times too." I said.

"Maybe." She replied. "It's still really sweet though."

"He is really sweet." Kitty said.

"Oh yes he is." Phoebe said as she pinched my cheek.

"Ok, cut it out, let's go see what the newbies are up to." I said.

"It's only been a few minutes Cj, Illustria probably isn't even in the shower yet." Phoebe said.

"Well what do you wanna do then?" I asked.

"I don't know, let's just walk around for a bit, Kitty you can come with us if you want, actually now that I remember, I need to get my pokémon from the bus." Phoebe replied.

"Ok well we can go do that then." I said.

"Yeah, let's go." Phoebe urged.

And so we headed back outside, back to the parking garage which is where we also left the bus, as leaving it on the street would've made our location too obvious, in case the Bubblemen or who knows came by. Our main concern was actually the Bubblemen at this point, as all the remaining dark rulers had gone to the far north, but we hadn't the slightest clue where Volkheim and the rest of his army was They weren't dark rulers of course, so we weren't really inclined to go after them, especially since they had gotten so many digimon to fight for them, but we still needed to be careful. Hopefully after we dealt with all the dark rulers we could just leave them here, or did Ophanimon seriously consider them to be chosen ones?

"So where are we going again?" Kitty asked shortly after we left the hotel.

"We need to get my pokémon from the bus so I can let them out to play later." Phoebe said.

"I got to get back into the habit of letting them out more." I said. "I rarely did while we were gone, I was terrified they would age."

"I think most of mine are still hurt." Phoebe said.

She didn't have them on her when we got sent to that other universe, so she never had a chance to get them healed.

"Use the digiroot on them." I replied.

"Yeah, I guess I could do that too." Phoebe said.

"I don't think I've even seen all your pokémon." Kitty said.

"That's probably true." Phoebe replied. "I guess I could introduce you then."

"I take it Cj has showed you his?" Phoebe asked.

"Mhmm." Kitty replied. " But I don't really know them that well."

"Well you'll get to know them all soon enough. Especially since you're our virara now." Phoebe said.

"Maybe someday you can even have some pokémon on your own." Phoebe continued a few seconds later.

"Maybe that's not the best idea." I said, remembering the neblong incident.

"Yeah it's not." Kitty agreed, for similar reasons.

"Oh right, well, we'll just keep you out of the kitchen and everything will be fine." Phoebe said.

"Then I'll probably just find some other way to accidently murder them horribly." Kitty said.

"Oh now you're just being silly." Phoebe said.

"Well, uh, statistically, she's not." I said.

"Statistically?" Phoebe asked. "Ok fine we'll just leave it at that."

"Why don't you be my pokémon sister?" Kitty asked.

"Oh now you know I'm a pokémon? And I can't be." Phoebe asked.

"Why not?" Kitty asked.

"Because I'm Cj's you bimbo." Phoebe replied.

"But I released you." I said.

"Yeah, and you married me, so." Phoebe replied.

"But you have your own pokémon?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah." Phoebe replied.

"Are you going to marry them too?" Kitty asked.

"No, that's not how it works, Arceus Kitty come on, think about things for a moment." Phoebe said, noticeably annoyed with her.

"Good." Kitty said.

"Kitty I married Pheebles cause, well we fell in love, not because she was my pokémon, that's a completely different thing." I said.

"Like how I'm your digimon?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, like that." I said.

"And we were both young, and naïve, and your world plunged into complete chaos." Phoebe said.

"Yeah but we had our love, and I guess that got us through in the end." I said.

"What happened?" Kitty asked.

"Pokemon started appearing in our world. The government overreacted, some people wanted to kill all the pokémon, others fought really hard to keep their own, causing a state of civil war and anarchy while gigantic rogue pokémon, who betrayed their trainers, laid waste to entire cities while tyrants with overpowered pokémon that remained loyal to them for some reason conquered others, society very nearly collapsed, but trainers united, and the military eventually ended up focusing more on the rogues and tyrants, and after a few years things started to calm down, communities reformed, cities were rebuilt and order started to restore itself. It was still recovering when we left, but it's on the right track, though wild pokémon can still be seen on occasion and probably always will now. Nothing dangerous, just the smaller varieties" I explained.

"I keep forgetting you guys had like a whole adventure before this?" Kitty said.

"Mhm." Phoebe replied.

"And it was all her fault." I joked.

"That's never been proven, besides you love me." Phoebe said.

"Yes I do. " I replied. "Kind of like how this was all your fault."

"No because this was all Ophanimon's idea anyway, and the spaceship adventure was Henry's fault. He's the one that suggested we attack the portal." Phoebe said.

"Well maybe it reacted with your powers and sent us to that universe?" I asked.

"No, that doesn't make any sense!" Phoebe said in a cutely defensive tone that only made me want to annoy her more, which, as usual devolved into a pretty stupid, pointless, but lighthearted argument.

"Well how do we know?" I asked.

"Because I'm telling you it doesn't and even if it does I didn't even know that, and you used to be my trainer and you should've taught me that so really that would all be your fault!" Phoebe replied.

"Well most of the time I was your trainer I didn't even know you were real!" I said.

"Well if you treated all your pokémon like they were real that wouldn't be a problem." Phoebe said.

"Then everybody would think I was crazy." I said.

"So? You didn't even know anybody." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah well, acting like a crazy person wasn't going to change that." I said.

"Well maybe you could've met a cute therapist." Phoebe suggested.

"Eh-huh, why would I ever have that much fortune?" I asked. "They'd probably just think I'm some kind of creep and throw me in jail, or they'd be married with kids or they'd have a boyfriend, and therefore not available. And even if not what would I want a therapist for anyway when I could have you?"

"Awwe Cj." Phoebe said.

"You're going to make me kiss you and that's going to be all your fault." Phoebe continued after a brief pause.

"Fine with me. Come here baby." I said as we stopped walking for a moment so I could pull her into a kiss.

"Really? Didn't you say no more kisses until tonight?" Kitty asked, feeling a bit jealous.

"I broke him. Come here! You'll probably get one too." Phoebe said.

"Yeah come here Kitty kat." I said.

I kissed them both so they'd both be happy and then we continued on our way.

Eventually we arrived at the parking garage, which wasn't really that much further, then we got onto the bus and retrieved her pokémon.

"You know we could fool around a bit while we're here?" Phoebe suggested.

"I could go for that." Kitty said.

"I don't think we have that much time do we?" I asked.

"Actually yeah, you're right, we don't. We should get back before the newbies decide what they want to do today." Phoebe replied.

"Awwwe." Kitty moped.

"Sorry but we already made other plans today." Phoebe said.

"To fuck the newbies?" Kitty asked.

"Kitty Kat, I'm going to tell you the same thing I keep telling Cj, when we get home, we're not going to be able to keep doing this anymore so we have to take advantage of it while we can. Even making it work with you is going to be really complicated." Phoebe explained.

"Yeah, there's going to be a lot of awkward situations." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe replied.

"And we're not fucking the newbies we're just kind of catching up with them, since we've been riding in the bus while they've been in the mechanorimon most of the time. To kind of bring the team together." I said, trying to put Kitty's mind at ease, but Phoebe was having none of it.

"That's what you think." Phoebe mischievously replied.

"Pheebles." I scolded.

"We all know that if I can get them naked you're not going to say no." Phoebe said.

"But what about me?" Kitty asked.

"If this works you can have another night alone with him, the day after tomorrow." Phoebe said.

"What's tomorrow?" I asked.

"It's the day that comes after today." Kitty explained.

"That's not what I meant Kitty Kat." I replied.

"Nothing is tomorrow, I just want to be alone with you too." Phoebe said.

"That's how it should be." I said.

"I know, and it will be, once we make it home." Phoebe said. "Except sometimes with Kitty of course, but tonight, we're going to have some fun with the newbies."

" Pheebles, you're crazy you know that?" I asked.

"And I'm going to drain you dry, I know, but I love you Cj, if I thought you were too tired to handle it I wouldn't try it." Phoebe said.

"You promise?" I asked.

"Of course." Phoebe said.

"What do you mean nothing is tomorrow?" Kitty asked.

"Kitty you're a mess." I said.

"Yeah, but I'm your mess." Kitty replied.

"That you are." I said as we left the bus and started to head back.

"So Kitty Kat, you think she's going to drain me dry?" I asked.

"I hope not." Kitty said. "I love you too."

"Well do you think I can trust her or not?" I asked.

"I hope so." Kitty replied.

"You're asking her for advice?" Phoebe asked.

"Nah, I just wanna know what she thinks of you." I said.

"She's my sister." Kitty said.

"Aweee." Phoebe replied.

"Even if she is a crazy weirdo she still loves you." Kitty said.

"Oh really?" Phoebe asked as she rolled her eyes.

"Sometimes it's justified Pheebles." I said.

"Yeah, you're probably right, but not all the time, Look Cj if you really don't want too, then we won't, but I know you, and I know, that you're going to keep saying no up until one of them takes their shoes off, then you'll be all over them." Phoebe said a few moments later.

"Yeah she really does know you." Kitty said with a laugh.

"I bet he's had fun with you in your other form hasn't he?"

" I bet if I kicked my shoes off back on the bus we'd be having some fun about now." Phoebe said.

"Yeah probably." Kitty cheekily agreed.

"I'm not like you Pheebles, I actually have a sense of self control." I replied.

"Cj, I went a hundred or so years without sex for you, you remarried in two." Phoebe said, still lightheartedly.

"That was more or less forced, you know that, we weren't even in love, hell we barely even knew eachother at first." I said.

"You had a child with her!" Phoebe pointed out.

"Yeah and they both died before we reunited so what's your point?" I asked.

"Then you hooked up with Kitty." Phoebe added.

"Yeah, well at that point the whole U.S.C wasn't making any progress finding you. It's not like I could enslave an entire planet of scientists and build a ship specifically designed to systematically enslave other places to look for you. Even when things worked out the best Pheebles, I still couldn't find you, I had one of the largest military organizations in that universe passively looking for you, for almost a whole century. They couldn't find you. What else was I really supposed to do?" I said.

"I don't know, that's why I don't blame you and Kitty is our virara now." Phoebe said.

"Then why are we having this conversation? " I asked.

"Because you said I have no self-control." Phoebe said.

"Because you don't most of the time, in battle you push yourself over the limit, in conversation you say more embarrassing things than Kitty ever does even when she's drunk out of her mind, and in bed you won't be satisfied until we've literally banged every remotely attractive woman we come across." I said.

"Yeah because I love you and don't want you to get hurt, because you won't say anything otherwise, and it's not that embarrassing considering pretty much every woman we travel with has seen us naked by now, and because I'm bored, you're bored, everybody is bored, so why not? I'm not out of control, I'm doing exactly what I want to do, just like you when we screw those girls together, and you can't tell me you don't enjoy it." Phoebe said.

"I do Pheebles, I really do, but in the end, I just want you, and Kitty." I said.

"You're just as homesick as I am, when we get home, it will just be us, raising Charley and Nina together, and somehow Kitty will fit into that, somehow. " Phoebe said.

"I can be their aunt." Kitty said.

"Yeah that will work most of the time, but my parents will see right through it, Nina probably will too, and Charley will when he's old enough ." Phoebe said. "If my mom doesn't already know by now. You two might never be allowed in the gardevoir city again."

"What really?" I asked.

"Yeah if they find out about us and Kitty, could you imagine if the rest of the city figured out?" Phoebe asked.

"Cj it goes against all tradition." Phoebe said.

"What tradition?" Kitty asked.

"You know you might as well tell her she'll have to know eventually." I said referring to her secret. That she was actually the princess of the whole Sinnoh colony, and really didn't want anyone to know.

"Not now, not until we get home." Phoebe replied.

"Tell me what? What?" Kitty asked.

"If the time comes that you have to know, we'll tell you." I said.

"And don't tell anyone I have a secret, ok, I don't need everyone pressing me for more information." Phoebe said.

"You have a secret?" Kitty asked.

"Arceus, how dumb are you?" Phoebe asked.

"You know I can make you tell me?" Kitty said.

"Kitty, don't." I said.

"Hmph, fine." Kitty replied.

"She'll tell you when she's ready just be patient." I said.

"Ok, fine, I have a secret too." Kitty replied.

"Yeah right." Phoebe said in disbelief.

"No you do not." I said.

"How would you know?" Kitty asked.

"I know you enough to know that you don't keep a lot of secrets, for better or for worse. Pheebles, on the other hand." I said.

"Yeah, you're right, I don't have any secrets that I can think of right now." She admitted.

"You just really wanna know Phoebe's." I said.

"Mhm." She agreed.

"You will when the time is right. If it helps any, she didn't even tell me until we were married for a while and even then she held off until she absolutely had to." I said.

"You didn't?" Kitty asked Phoebe in shock.

"I didn't know it would ever be relevant, things were really weird back then." Phoebe said. "And you've had secrets, remember when we first met you, you didn't tell us you were one of the chosen, or about Ophanimon or any of this until we slept with you and you became Cj's partner."

"Well I didn't know I was supposed to tell you any of that." Kitty said.

"Well if I ever have another secret I'm not telling you until you tell me yours." Kitty said.

"Ok." Phoebe said.

"Just make sure it doesn't endanger anybody Kitty Kat." I said.

"Ok." Kitty agreed.

"And don't be doing things you shouldn't be doing just to get one." I said.

"Mhm." Kitty agreed.

Eventually we made it back to the hotel. The newbies were all awake and almost ready to go so Phoebe waited in the hallway for them to emerge from their rooms, while I waited around with Kitty in the lobby.

"Can I go with you and the newbies?" She asked once Phoebe was out of sight.

"I don't see why not, Pheebles might want you to stay here, but I mean really what's she going to do right?" I asked.

"And what if you end up fucking them?" Kitty asked.

"Then you can come along and I'll fuck you too." I said. "Look if it happens, then hopefully that will be it for awhile." I said. "The goddesses should be back any day now, so we should be on the move again soon."

"Can Chally come too?" Kitty asked.

"If she gets up around the same time as the others Phoebe will probably string her along." I said as Kiera entered the lobby through the main entrance.

"Where's Phoebe?" She asked as she saw me sitting alone with Kitty.

"Upstairs waiting on the others." I replied.

"Thanks." She said.

"No problem." I replied as she headed for the stairs.

"Have you seen ninjamon around today?" Kitty asked.

"No why?" I asked.

"Well normally he finds some girl to follow around, but all the girls are here now, but he isn't." Kitty said.

"Well Zari isn't here, Claire isn't here, IceLeomon's wives aren't here." I said.

"Elishen and Kaytori." Kitty corrected me.

"That their names?" I asked.

"Mhm." Kitty replied.

"I haven't seen them today either." Kitty said.

"Well you've only been up for an hour or so Kitty Kat." I said. "I'm sure they're fine, if his wives aren't at the pool they're probably with him outside somewhere together. You haven't seen Henry or Claire either, they usually leave pretty early to go exploring."

"Yeah, that's true." Kitty said.

"You're just overly concerned with Ninjamon or what?" I asked.

"I just don't want him to start bugging me." Kitty said.

"Nah you feel sorry for him, I can tell." I said.

"Well if somebody was going to attack us, he's the weakest digimon in our group right? So he'd probably be their first target. Right?"

"Yeah, but nobody is attacking us Kitty Kat, there's nobody else even here, all the remaining dark rulers are very far to the north, I don't know where the Bubblemen went, but if they were here, we'd know, There might be some digimon living in the taller buildings, but most of them either got destroyed or fled, presumably. So don't go worrying about that happening, because unless Volkheim and his army come back here for whatever reason, we're pretty much in the clear." I said.

Just then Ninjamon walked in looking very beaten up, not helping my case at all.

"Oh my god Ninjamon, what happened was it Volkheim?" Kitty asked.

"What's a volkheim? I just got done sparring with the big guy." Ninjamon said, weakly.

"Dude? Do you know the difference between sparring and actually losing a fight? You're not supposed to end up looking like you just pissed off an entire bar." I asked.

"What's a bar?" Ninjamon asked.

"Nevermind that, get some rest." I replied.

"Kitty is he bothering you now?" Saphy asked as she emerged from the pool room.

"Oh, I see you've got it under control." She said once she noticed his condition.

"I didn't do this, some big guy did." Kitty said.

"Probably IceLeomon." I said.

"Oh, how do you know? Why would he do such a thing?" Kitty asked.

"It's not his fault I wanted to keep going." Ninjamon replied.

"So you did this to yourself?" Kitty asked.

"Kind of." Ninjamon replied.

"Cj." Kitty said as she looked me in the eyes.

"What." I asked.

"I think he's dumber than I am." Kitty said.

"I had to try, to get stronger." Ninjamon said."

"And now you need to try to rest dude, you look like I could turn you into data just by punching you." I said.

"You can rest by the pool if you want." Saphy said.

"Really?" Ninjamon asked.

"Well it looks like you've earned it for once." Saphy said.

"Thankyou Saphy, you sweet blue goddess." Ninjamon said.

"And now I realize this was probably a mistake." Saphy said.

"Sorry I'll shut up I promise." Ninjamon said.

"That's better." Saphy replied as she headed back into the pool room with Ninjamon trailing behind.

"Is there anyone else in there?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know go look." I said.

"No way." Kitty replied. "I get sick just looking at the water."

"Oh you do not." I said. "Anyway, I'm pretty sure everyone else is either upstairs or outside."

"So they're in there alone?" Kitty asked.

"Well it's Saphy, she's just being nice. What you think they're gonna start banging or something? He's half her size." I said.

"Well I just, maybe they'll fall in love?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, right." I replied as Phoebe descended the stairs.

"Are they coming?" I asked.

"Yeah, they just need a moment to get dressed." Phoebe replied. "Is Kitty going too?"

"Mhm." Kitty replied.

"Thought so." Phoebe said as turned towards the pool room. "Now what about Saphy?"

-About 5 seconds later-

"Arceus what happened to Ninjamon?" Phoebe said in a state of shock.

"He was sparring with Iceleomon again, he got beat up." I said.

"We don't know if it was IceLeomon for sure." Kitty said.

"Well who else would it be Kitty Kat?" Phoebe asked.

"Some big guy?" Kitty suggested.

"Ugh, that idiot." Phoebe said, referring to IceLeomon.

"It's not really his fault, Ninjamon could've quit at any time." I said.

"Then I would never become any stronger." Ninjamon yelled from the pool room.

"It's sparring, not a death match." Phoebe said.

"Do we have anymore white digiroot?" Saphy asked as she stood in the entrance of the pool room.

"He's not hurt that bad, it will heal on its own in a little while won't it?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, in a couple hours or so." Saphy said.

"Well we have a couple hours so that will work out well. And then maybe this will help him learn not to get beaten up so bad " Phoebe said.

"Hopefully." Saphy said.

"If you want to train talk to Zari, just don't make her mad with your usual funny stuff." Phoebe said.

"Too tired right now." Ninjamon said.

"So, you want to come with us to the amusement park? All the newbies are going." Phoebe asked.

"I'll go." Ninjamon said excitedly.

"Yeah no, not in that condition." Saphy said to him.

"You only want to go so you can pester the newbies." Phoebe said.

"What did you just say?" Ninjamon asked.

"Well, I'll stay here and make sure he doesn't follow you." Saphy said to Phoebe.

"For you information they like my attention." Nnjamon grumbled while the girls ignored him.

"Well if he starts getting pushy, let me know." Phoebe said.

"If he starts getting pushy I'll kick him out again." Saphy said before walking away.

"Ok well, enjoy your really long swim then." Phoebe replied.

"Mhm. Maybe we can have some fun on the bus sometime?" Saphy said before entering the pool.

"Well I have to talk it over with Cj first." Phoebe replied.

With that conversation over Phoebe approached Kitty and I.

"Ok so, the newbies should come down any minute and then we'll be ready to go." Phoebe said.

"Ok. Sounds good." I replied as she sat next to me.

"And then we can reconnect with them on an emotional level and then maybe later on a physical one." Phoebe said a few moments later.

"Whatever you say baby girl." I said.

"Cj, if I knew you weren't going to enjoy this I wouldn't try to set it up, but I know we'll both enjoy it together, so it's worth it. You always try to fight me, but you always end up having fun. Just trust me dummy." Phoebe said.

"It's complicated Pheebles." I said.

"I know, but it will all be fine in the end." Phoebe replied.

"If you say so." I replied.

"I guess that will just have to be good enough." Phoebe replied.

"You used to cry after we did this kind of thing." I said.

"I know that. Just think of them all as our mutual friends with benefits Cj." She replied.

"What does that mean I am?" Kitty asked

"You're our cute virara that we play with sometimes. Cj loves you and I'm trying to learn to love you. And when we finally get back home, you'll stay with us and everyone else will have to find their own place to live after a while." Phoebe said.

"After a while? Pheebles we don't even have enough rooms in the house."

"Well they can camp outside." Phoebe said.

"I think Devon Co. would probably help them find a hotel?" I said.

"Yeah, you're probably right." Phoebe said.

"We're taking a long ass vacation after this I know that much." I said.

"Mhm, and then we can get her acquainted with our kids and everything." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, we'll just go on a family trip or something." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe replied.

"After we crash at home for a few weeks." I said.

"Yes, definitely, and we're going to make Kitty sandwiches every night, and morning, and whenever the kids aren't around or awake, and in hotel rooms, and in the kitchen, and on the couch." Phoebe joked.

"And in the shower." I added.

"We're going to need a bigger shower." Phoebe said.

"No!" Kitty objected.

"Oh come on, I've gotten you in there before, and it was warm and wet, and fun." I said.

"Oooooh Cj." Phoebe said.

"Oh yeah that reminds me Pheebles, you should see her when it rains, it's hilarious." I said.

"Oh really?" Phoebe asked.

"Mhm." I said.

"Don't tell her that." Kitty said.

"I remember that one day we were strolling through the park and it started raining so you sprinted into this gazebo, and I swear if that one guy didn't come by with an umbrella you would've stayed in that gazebo all day." I said.

She would, to be honest, me on the other hand, after spending five minutes trying to convince her to come with me, I was about another five minutes away from just leaving her there, it was that ridiculous, it wasn't even raining that hard, my car was only about 200 feet away, if even. I couldn't get her to come to the car with me if my life depended on it. Thankfully some old-looking guy came by with an umbrella who was kind enough to let me borrow it after explaining the situation, once he made it to his car which happened to be parked close to ours. It rained well into the night, then it finally stopped, and that was about the longest rain we had that entire year.

After that I bought her an umbrella, then she lost it a week later, somehow, so from that point on when it looked like it was going to rain, we didn't go outside.

"It was raining, there were puddles everywhere. Everything was wet, and you know I can't dry off very fast and even if I digivolve it still makes a mess because all the water ends up on the floor." Kitty said.

"Yeah well we were still there way longer than we should've been." I said.

"You could've digivolved in the gazebo." Phoebe said.

"No, cause then somebody could've seen her and freaked out." I said.

"Really?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah there's a lot of alien races out there, but, not many of them can change form like that." I said.

"So she was just going to stay there until it stopped raining?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, but that's not the dumb part, my car was not even two hundred feet away, wouldn't have even needed to walk a minute to get to it. And she was going to stay there, for hours." I said.

"Yeah it was kind of dumb." Kitty admitted.

"That means you've gotten smarter." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe agreed.

"Thanks, I think." Kitty said as a procession of newbies came down the stairs, almost one after the other, very nearly looking rehearsed.

"Hey they look like they might be ready to go." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, just behave yourself Pheebles." I said.

"You should behave yourself too Kitty." Phoebe said.

"Oh, she's usually pretty well reserved, I'm way more worried about you." I said.

"Well don't be." Phoebe said.

"I can't not be, especially after this morning." I replied.

"What happened this morning?" Kitty asked.

"She tried to embarrass Zari and me in front of Kiera." I said, knowing full well it wasn't an accident, she had way too much sense for that. She just liked to tease me and occasionally others on purpose to get a reaction, but mostly me.

"Shh, enough, they're coming over here." Phoebe said.

"Hi Lussy, Celly, everyone else ready to go?" Phoebe asked moments later in a much more friendly tone.

"How big is this place we're going exactly?" Illustria asked.

"Pretty big, there's a roller coaster and everything." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, but there's no power." Challana said.

"You never figured out how to turn it on." Phoebe replied.

"You can do that?" Challana asked.

"Yeah it's powered by sex." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles! Really?" I asked, immediately annoyed.

"It's not?" Challana asked.

"No you just throw the power switch and it all works. Don't listen to her. I don't know what her deal is recently, but she just wants to act like a horny weirdo. Who I literally just asked to behave and we haven't even left the hotel and she's already up to her usual mischief." I said as I pulled my beloved close and playfully squeezed her.

"Yeah because then you do things like this." Phoebe said.

"No you do it to get on my nerves. If you wanted me to hold you you could just ask." I said.

"But where's the fun in that?" Phoebe asked.

"How am I supposed to get you to stop?" I asked.

"You can't. You're my husband, I must tease you!" Phoebe said.

"Well dial it back a bit atleast, cause you're way over the top." I said.

"Ok, that's fair enough." Phoebe agreed.

"Thankyou Pheebles." I said.

'Mhm." She replied.

"All right enough messing around, let's just get going." Phoebe said, suddenly taking a more serious attitude.

"Ok." Illustria agreed.

"Maybe we can all play naked bumper cars." Phoebe said.

"I don't think that's a thing Pheebles." I said.

"It probably is somewhere." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah, I guess so." I said.

"Pass." Selenia replied.

"Yeah no. Who knows what else has been in those things? I'll play normal bumper cars though." Illustria said.

"Couldn't some digimon be there too? They could see us, or Henry and Claire could already be there." Kiera asked.

"There used to be a lot of digimon around here, I don't know where they all went." Phoebe replied.

"Volkheim probably drove them out." I said.

"Maybe, I just hope they're ok." Phoebe replied.

"Weren't we going to let our pokémon out too?" I asked.

"Oh yeah, um Cj?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah." I asked.

"I think I left mine back at our hotel room." Phoebe said.

"Really Pheebles?" I asked.

"Well it's been so long since I've carried them around. I just. Lead the others to the park I'll be back in a bit, maybe I'll get the rest of my team healed too." Phoebe said.

"Ok, fine." I replied, wondering if this was some kind of trick.

So she frantically teleported away and basically left me in charge of this group of girls.

"What are bumper cars?" Challana asked as Kitty came up behind me and hugged me.

"You'll see when we get there." I replied.

"Kitty kat what are you doing? Jealous much?" I asked.

"Yes." She replied.

"So where are we going?" Illustria asked, tired of standing around.

"To the bumper cars!" I replied.

-several minutes later at the bumper cars, after arriving at the park and turning the power on. –

"See Chally they're little cars you can squeeze into and bump other cars with inside this building." I explained as a generic, but energetic techno-style beat played over the ride's speaker system that was apparently playing on a loop as it never stopped the whole time we were there.

"They don't have a roof." Illustria said. "It must be really unsafe to hit people underneath."

"Um, I think they have wheels." Selenia said.

"Oh." Illustria said.

"Yeah they're just regular cars they don't fly. " I said.

"I forgot these were even a thing." Illustria said.

In the previous universe there were ufo-shaped hovering bumper cars that were quite a bit larger and fully closed in. They could get hit from all sides and drove almost like a normal car but there was an extra lever for vertical movement. They could go from floating inches off the ground to about 50 feet in the air. The ones here were of the more normal variety, basically just being little electric cars that drew power from the ceiling.

"But the great thing is there's no staff, so, no time limit, no entry fee, no lines, no nothing." I said.

"I heard about these I've never seen them up close before." Kiera said.

"Same, I'm used to seeing the flying kind." Selenia replied.

"So they're supposed to bump into each other?" Challana asked.

"Yeah, basically. Like a demo derby without the destruction." I said.

"Is it safe?" Challana asked.

"Yeah, the cars don't go fast enough to crash very hard and they have bumpers all the way around." I said as Illustria hopped the railing and climbed into one of the cars that were haphazardly scattered in a ring around the arena. The entrance was a turnstile deal that was stuck shut, so bypassing it was necessary.

"So it just drives like a normal car?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah, have you ever driven a normal car?" I asked.

"No." Illustria replied.

They're not particularly common in space, some stations have them, some don't, in that universe, most learn how to fly before they learn to drive, as weird as that sounds.

"Well it's a good time to learn. Start practicing." I replied as she started to awkwardly move about.

"Cj, did you forget I can't drive?" Kitty asked.

"No, it just slipped to the back of my mind, but you can try, like the cars are probably indestructible like everything else in this city, so if you claw into them who cares? " I asked.

"Yeah I guess so." She said.

"If nothing else you can switch to your other form." I replied.

"Yeah.' She agreed before she stepped away so she could digivolve.

"So go give it a shot Kitty Kat, you got nothing to lose." I said.

"Ok." Kitty replied as she set the nazzar nail on the ground.

"Are you coming?" She asked as she approached the railing.

"I'm gonna wait for Pheebles to catch up." I said, as Selenia and Kiera went out and picked their cars,

"So I can just pick any car?" Challana asked.

"Yeah, pick any empty car you want, they're probably all the same, just different colors." I said.

"And we're supposed to run into each other?" Challana asked.

"Yeah, basically. But only people in cars." I said as she climbed over the railing.

"Ok, I got it." She replied.

I took a moment to slip the nazzar nail into my digivice for safe keeping then started to watch them play while I waited for Phoebe to return.

Kitty and Illustria struggled to control their cars, everyone else figured it out pretty quickly, but they the hang of it and it was starting to get pretty intense. I wanted to go out there too, but I was still waiting for Phoebe to show up, as the ambient techno rhythm kept looping over and over.

Eventually she made it back and found us pretty quickly thanks to her powers.

"Cj why are you just standing here all by yourself?" She asked shortly after she found me.

"Waiting for you baby girl." I said.

"You didn't have to, you know that." She said.

"I know, but I wanna be+- extra sure that you'll be fine." I said.

"Why wouldn't I be?" She asked.

"I don't know." I said.

"You're just too shy to go out there without me." She said.

"You wanna go to a different ride on our own, just you and I?" I asked.

"Cj, that's not why we came here today, maybe tomorrow." She said before offering her hand. "Come on let's go."

I took her hand and she teleported us to the inside of the rink.

"Hey she's back." Illustria said.

" You're playing too?" I asked.

"Of course, do they have any green cars?" She asked.

"That one over there." I said.

"Eh, it's kind of a darker green than what I was hoping for, but it will do." Phoebe said.

They were all kind of dark-metallic colored, in red, silver, gold, blue, and green with two white racing stripes on the "hood" which were black on the silver and gold ones, as expected the colors were purely aesthetic as they all performed about the same, which if you think about it, was sort of an anomaly, as normally some would seem to run better than others, due to things like the condition of the tires, motors, or bearings.

"I guess I'll take this blue one then." I said.

"Ok, let's do this." She replied as we squeezed into the cars.

"What are you going to do?" I asked.

'Bump into everybody, starting with you." She said as she immediately drove into the side of my car.

"Ok, now what?" I asked, thinking I probably should've seen that coming.

"Probably Kitty." Phoebe said.

"I doubt it she's clear on the other side, somebody else will probably hit you first.' I said.

"Naaaah, you'll see." She insisted as she backed up away from me and drove towards the rest of the group. I rolled my eyes and timidly followed her out of the staging area and into the arena where the others were screwing around. It was a pretty ridiculous sight, but fun none the less. The cars were just barely faster than a riding mower, but extremely twitchy. I don't know how but she somehow managed to maneuver around the others and bump into Kitty, almost like the others were afraid to hit her or something, or maybe she was using her powers. Selenia was playfully yelling something, but I couldn't hear it over the music.

"Hi Kitty." Phoebe said mischievously, making me worried they were going to start fighting, thankfully they both decided to be cute and friendly.

"You came back." She replied.

"Well yeah, like I was going to let you have all the fun, do you like driving?" She asked.

"I'm still getting used to it." Kitty said. " Illustria kept bumping into me, the big meany."

"Well we'll have to teach her a lesson then." Phoebe replied before backing up and making a beeline for the newbies who had migrated more towards the center of the arena.

"I guess we should go help her out Kitty Kat." I said.

"I guess so." Kitty agreed.

-Several minutes of constantly bumping into people later-

"Ok this is starting to get a bit boring." Illustria said.

"Yeah, it seemed a lot more fun in my head, maybe that's because nobody is naked?" Phoebe replied.

"Pheebles, everyone already shot that down." I said.

"Well what are we going to do now then Cj? Everyone is getting bored." Phoebe said.

"We could run into each other at full speed from opposite ends of the track." Illustria said.

"That sounds dangerous." Phoebe said.

"Well we're in an amusement park, maybe try some other rides?" I asked.

"Duh." Illustria said. "Does the roller coaster work?"

"Um, probably." I replied.

There was a small wooden rollercoaster that ran around the park, nothing too impressive, but not too mild either, it had a single drop from maybe 80 feet or so in the air, some tight banked corners, a tiny downward helix, and that was about it. Nobody knew if it actually worked or not.

"We should probably test it to see it works and that there's no anomalies that could cause something bad to happen." I said as we made our way over to it's station.

"Yeah, probably." Phoebe said.

"Oh what's the worst that can happen?" Illustria asked.

"Well you could get stuck up there, or you could get sent flying off the track, who knows? There's no guarantee this coaster was ever based on a proven safe design. For all we know it could be based on the most dangerous coaster in this digital world's host world." I said.

"Host world?" Illustria asked.

"The real world this world is attached too, it's complicated, but you get the important part of what I'm saying right?"

"Well if it's not safe why would they build it?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah Cj." Phoebe seconded.

"We don't even know if it has been built, this entire city could just be based on some random person's model." I said.

"We shouldn't go on it until we know it's safe." Selenia chimed in.

"We didn't do that for the bumper cars." Challana said.

"We've messed with them before." I said.

"Oh." Challana replied.

"Yeah and they're bumper cars they're not going to go flying off a track if they don't work right." Phoebe said.

"Right." I said.

"What if they're the flying kind?" Illustria asked.

"Well they're not so you're just being silly." Phoebe said.

We arrived at the station a few minutes later and found the trains and the control panel to turn it on. It took a moment to figure out how to start the damned thing. We had to turn the lift and braking systems on, then there was a button too release the restraints and another that secured the restraints and released whatever train was upfront, which meant that someone would have to stay behind to press the button, but first we had to test it to make sure it would actually work. So we sent the first train out with nobody on it and waited for it to complete its circuit. It made it back ok so we let Illustria get on the next train along with Challana and Kiera, nobody else wanted to go. After sending out that train Phoebe followed it around with her teleporting in case something went wrong, thankfully it didn't and thus it seemed to be completely safe.

"Ok so, looks like it's safe." I said as the second train arrived at the station, gently bumping into the first and pushing it into the launch position.

"How'd it go?" Selenia asked.

"I've seen better, it's not The Galactic Leviathan for sure, but it's allright, you should come next time." Illustria replied as she made her way up to the first train.

Based in an amusement park on a naturally uninhabited planet with infamously low gravity, The Galactic Leviathan was a famous rollercoaster that used maglev technology to power itself, allowing it to briefly travel through space inside of a specially constructed reinforced glass tube, reaching speeds of up to 350mph, before being slowed down via the maglev system in order to keep g-forces at survivable levels.

"Are you going again?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, duh." Illustria replied.

"Ok." Phoebe said.

"I'll go again too, I'll probably take the front car this time." Kiera said.

"Ok." Phoebe replied." What about you Chally?"

"No, nonono." Challana replied.

"Guess you don't like rollercoasters huh?" Phoebe asked.

"That was not what I was expecting at all." Challana replied.

"That's ok, is your coat still frozen?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, it should be ok for a while, I think." Challana replied.

"Cool." Phoebe replied.

"Do you think I should go on?" Kitty asked me.

"If you want." I said as Selenia decided to board the train.

"I mean do you think it's too scary for me?" Kitty asked.

"That's for you to decide." I said.

"We should all go atleast once Cj." Phoebe said as she teleported in right next to us.

"We can't, somebody has to be here to press the button." I said.

"Chally can, she doesn't want to ride anymore." Phoebe said.

"You can press the button now." Illustria said, somewhat impatiently.

"Right." I replied before doing so.

"Chally come up here." Phoebe said as the train left the station.

"What's going on?" Challana asked.

"We need you to push the button while we all ride. If you don't mind." Phoebe said.

"Um, sure." Challana replied.

"We might as well get in." Phoebe said as Chally made her way to the controls.

"Ehh let's wait a little bit." I said.

"Oh don't be a silly baby." Phoebe said. "After all we've been through and you're scared of a little roller coaster."

"Yeah well, you're afraid of even more little spiders." I said.

"I am not." Phoebe replied.

"Well what about scorupis?" I asked.

"Pfft! It's dorapions you have to watch out for, and they're huge." Phoebe said.

"What are either of those?" Challana asked.

"Other pokémon." Phoebe said. "They're big mean purple and gross and I forbid Cj from ever capturing one."

"Like you can." I said.

"Of course I can, I'm your wife." She replied.

"And Kitty can too, you don't like skorupis either do you sweety?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't even know what a skorupi is, so I'm going to take Cj's side." Kitty replied.

"Oh, come on really?" Phoebe asked.

"Best girlfriend ever." I said as I hugged her.

"But I was your girlfriend once, and she's our virara." Phoebe said.

"Well you're the best wife ever, most of the time." I said.

"Most of the time? Well fine then you're the best husband most of the time." She asked.

"Fair enough." I said.

"Still my best husband." Kitty said as she hugged me back.

"Whatever, they're coming back now let's get on before they get the good seats." Phoebe said.

"There's good seats?" I asked.

"Yeah the second car from the front." Phoebe said.

"How so?" I asked, curious as to why she thought that.

"Because then you can watch people in front freak out and it makes you feel better, but you still get most of the thrills." She explained.

"If you say so." I replied as we took our seats.

"Ummmm." Kitty said, looking confused.

"Kitty you're going to have to take the front seat there's only room for two." Phoebe said.

"Ok." Kitty replied, indicating she wasn't paying attention to what she said earlier.

"Just let me have my fun." Phoebe said to me telepathically knowing I was about to speak up. I looked at her for a moment and she just smiled at me mischievously as Kitty sat in front of us

"Ok, just this once." I said.

"Thankyou." Phoebe replied.

"What?" Kitty asked.

"We were talking about later tonight. When everyone is going to get naked. I finally got him to agree to it." Phoebe said.

"No we were not, you manipulative little weirdo." I said.

"Then what?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know, you tell me." I said.

"I don't know." Kitty replied.

"I agreed that we'll ride the rollercoaster just this once, even though it's not really my thing." I said when I thought of a better answer than just confusing her, which to her credit, didn't always work. We heard the others screaming as the other train reached the top of the hill and began to descend.

"Yeah." Phoebe agreed. "But I got him to come along see?"

"Mhm." Kitty agreed.

"Pheebles." I said.

"What? I didn't do anything." Phoebe replied.

"I just wanted to say, if you're going to scream, don't scream in my ear." I said.

"Why would she scream?" Kitty asked.

"Because it's a rollercoaster." I said as Phoebe tried her best not to laugh at her naivety.

"You're telling me after all the boyfriends you had not one of them took you on a rollercoaster?" I asked.

"You were with me longer than any of them and you never did." Kitty said.

"Were there any rollercoasters on Paloran?" Phoebe asked.

"Pheebles the whole planet was a tourist destination, there were little amusement parks all over the place, beeches, resorts. I mean it's also like 85% water, but still. "

"And you never took her to even one of them?" Phoebe asked.

"It's not my thing Pheebles you know that." I said.

"I know, but still, how could you?" Phoebe asked, playfully accusing me.

"Don't be ridiculous." I said as the other train began to pull into the station, the newbies got off and then came over to board our train.

"Oh so you're riding this time." Illustria said.

"Yeah Chally is going to press the button." Phoebe replied.

"Ok Kitty can I sit next to you?" Illustria asked.

"No, you bumped into me earlier." Kitty said as Selenia and Kiera sat behind us.

"They're bumper cars that's how it's supposed to work." Illustria explained.

"She has a point Kitty." Phoebe said.

"Fine." Kitty said as she moved over.

"What's so important about this seat anyway?" Kitty asked a few seconds later.

"You'll see, Chally press the button!" She replied.

Another few seconds later we were on our way up the hill.

"Woah we're going up high." Kitty said.

"Yep." Phoebe agreed as she took my hand seeking comfort, she was nervous, which was kind of adorable.

"You getting scared baby girl? You're trembling." I asked.

"It's hard to not want to just teleport off of this thing." Phoebe said.

"It was your idea to go on it." I said as we got closer and closer to the top.

"Yeah it can't be that bad, you fly around all the time." Kitty said.

"I can't fly, I can teleport up and I can levitate for a while, but it can get really tiring. The higher up I go the harder it gets. I know I've told you this before." Phoebe explained.

"Well it still looks like flying." Kitty defended.

"Not really." Phoebe replied.

"We're almost there, get ready." Illustria said.

"How?" Kitty asked.

"Hold onto the rail. It does get a little rough by the way so be ready for that." Illustria replied.

"Ok." Kitty replied.

We made it to the top, and we had about half of a second to contemplate how high off the ground we were.

"Wait, no no no no no no no no no no no!" Kitty said, as the coaster began to accelerate while the girls behind us screamed out of excitement, Phoebe whimpered and Illustria and I basically stayed quiet. Then things started moving too fast to keep track of anything, we went around several curves. Kitty yelled a lot of things I couldn't quite hear. And finally things slowed down as the train coasted into the station. Phoebe regained her composure by the time the train came to a stop but Kitty was shaking. It road just a bit rough, like it needed some grease or something, but otherwise it was ok.

"Allright let's move onto something else." Illustria said. Selenia and Kiera agreed.

"Did you have fun Kitty? You were yelling the whole time." Phoebe asked.

"Yeah it was ok, I guess, maybe a little too fast. I can see why Chally didn't want to go." Kitty said.

"Oh please, this has nothing on some of the ones I've been on." Illustria said.

"Chally let's go." Kiera said.

"Yeah come on we're done with this place for now." Selenia said.

"Pheebles, I could hear you wimpering like a poor little puppy dog." I said as we disembarked.

"That's not screaming." Phoebe said.

"No, it's not, but it is adorable." I replied.

"Rrrrrrrr." Phoebe growled.

Then Kitty hugged me so tight that it started to hurt. She's a lot stronger than her form would suggest.

"Kitty Kat what are you doing?" I asked.

"I'm dizzy it's hard to stand." She said.

"Do you have to squeeze so hard?" I asked.

"Yes." She replied.

"I'm dizzy too." Phoebe said before she hugged me as well, literally just to be annoying.

"Love you girls." I said as everyone else made their way out of the station.

"We love you." They replied.

"Can we go now? Everyone else is leaving." I said.

"Can I ride on your back?" Phoebe asked as Kitty let go of me allowing me to breathe again.

"No, not when other people are around." I said.

"Awwwe, come on." Phoebe said.

"He said no." Kitty insisted.

"Fine." Phoebe replied.

"Maybe my sister can give me a ride?" Phoebe asked.

"Maybe you can walk there, on your own, like everyone else." I said.

"Yeah! Where are we going anyway?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know, I'm just following the others." I said. "Looks like they're heading for the game stands."

There was a ring toss game, a basketball game, one of those games where you have to throw a ball at a stack of bottles, and a shooting gallery that amusingly featured kangaroos as a target, instead of ducks or something that would've made a lot more sense. Made me wonder if the host world of this place had some weird problem with kangaroos.

A lot of the prizes had apparently been taken by passing digimon over time, but quite a few were still on display, including various plushies of unfamiliar and possibly generic characters, one of which was a kangaroo with a cowboy hat and sunglasses, and a bunch of beachballs of various sizes.

"Want to play some games Pheebles?" I asked.

" What's the point of that when we can just take the prizes?" She asked in return.

"I don't know, it might be fun, we can play against each other." I replied.

"Can we go on the big wheel together, just us?" She suggested.

"Well somebody is going to have to run it." I said.

"Chally can you come over here for a second?" She yelled towards the other group, since there was still a bit of distance between us.

"I can run it." Kitty said.

"No, why don't you go hang out with the others for a while, Cj and I need some alone time." Phoebe said.

"Didn't we come here to get closer to the others?" I asked.

"Yeah, but we can have some alone time too." Phoebe said.

"Kitty Kat, remember the day after tomorrow will be ours ok so don't get too jealous." I said.

"Can we kiss?" Kitty asked.

"Fine, just make it quick." Phoebe replied.

"What did you need?" Challana asked as she joined us. As I quickly kissed Kitty and ushered her to the group of newbies.

"Just another favor if you don't mind. We just need you to run the big wheel for us so we can be alone together, I don't want Kitty to do it because, well it's Kitty, and she might get kind of hurt by it if you understand what I mean." Phoebe said.

"Um yeah, sure, no problem." Challana replied.

- A few minutes later on the wheel. –

"Man this is a pretty big wheel." I said as it started to rotate.

"Yep." Phoebe replied.

"It looks bigger up close." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe agreed.

"You want to talk about something baby girl or what all is all this about?" I asked.

"I don't know, I just wanted to be alone with you for a bit. I guess Kitty doesn't like Illustria very much. We can talk about that." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah well, she's kind of become the leader of the newbies somehow. Mostly just because she has the loudest voice." I said.

"Exactly, if only the others would speak up more." Phoebe said. "You'd think Celly would be the leader, she has the most experience."

"Well it doesn't always work out that way Pheebles." I replied.

"Yeah, I know." She agreed. "Can we kiss when we get to the top?"

"Yeah, ok." I said. "Just for you."

"More than Kitty." Phoebe said.

"Oh so you just want to make out then?" I asked.

"Maybe." She replied.

"Ok baby girl. You know I love you." I said.

"More than Kitty." She replied.

"Yes more than Kitty, but don't tell her that." I said.

"It's partly my fault she fell in love with you to begin with." Phoebe said.

"No it's not, we didn't hook up till after Aranea passed." I said.

"Yeah but you were friends with her the whole time, and the only reason she's your digimon is cause I talked her into a threesome all the time ago." Phoebe said.

"Yeah and here you are still trying to set something up with the newbies." I said.

"Well what are the chances we get separated like that again? And she loves you, and it's kind of nice that you have her to protect you when I can't and maybe she can even protect Charley and Nina." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles I got a magic sword and who even knows how many guns anymore I can hold my own just fine."

"Yeah, but then you usually get hurt and you make me worry." Phoebe said.

"You get worried if I get a tiny scratch." I said.

"No I get worried when you're seconds from passing out from blood loss." Phoebe said.

"Yeah well, it's nice to know you care." I said.

"Oh Cj." She replied.

"How does Kitty react when you get hurt?" Phoebe asked.

"She cares, but other than that I can't really tell you. We rarely got into combat when we were working with the U.S.C, and we were already retired when we hooked up so. I can't remember a time I was with her when I got grievously injured by something." I said.

"So you only get hurt when you're with me?" Phoebe asked.

"That has nothing to do with it Pheebles." I said.

"I know, I'm just messing with you." She replied.

"Hey atleast I don't have to worry about you accidently scratching me when we make love." I said.

"Yeah." She replied with a giggle.

"How many times has that happened?" Phoebe asked.

"More than I care to admit." I said. "She's gotten more careful though."

"And you still love her." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, she's something else, I can say that much for sure." I replied.

"But you, I never forgot about you Pheebles, I thought about you every day, on worse days I'd cry about you." I said.

"Same." She replied.

"Together forever." I said as I pulled her close.

"Mhm." She agreed as we held each other for a moment before exchanging several kisses.

"We're not even at the top yet." Phoebe said.

"I don't care, I fucking love you." I said.

-meanwhile-

"Does it look like it's rigged Celly?" Illustria asked from in front of one the game stalls while Selenia inspected the game up close.

"Nah it looks legit, the bottles aren't on pegs or anything." She replied.

"And they're not permanently stuck to the table?" Illustria asked.

Selenia responded by knocking one of the bottle-pyramids down.

"And the balls.?" Illustria asked.

"There's plenty of them below the counter." Selenia replied as she set the pyramid back up again.

"Awesome." Illustria said.

"So we can play then?" Kiera asked.

"I guess so, it's legit!" Illustria said.

"Can I try?" Kitty asked.

"Sure." Illustria replied as Celly started setting balls on the counter.

"That will be 500 credits each." Celly joked.

"Yeah right." Illustria replied.

"That's what the sign says." Selenia said.

"That's not a credit symbol that's a, I don't even know what that is." Illustria said.

"kilobytes?" Kitty suggested.

"Is that what they use for currency here?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah." Kitty replied.

"Is that the symbol for it? " Illustria asked.

"No, I don't what that is. It looks like a Y. " Kitty replied as she read the sign.

"Who would ever play this then, the prizes aren't even worth 500 credits." Illustria said.

"Yeah, but Lussy that sign is using a different monetary system altogether." Kiera pointed out.

"Well I would hope so. Otherwise they were really ripping people off." Illustria said as Selenia exited the stand.

"OK that's all of them." She said.

"Cool, let's see who can knock them all down first." Illustria said.

Kitty watched them as they each threw a ball at whatever pyramid was closest to them, Celly managed to knock one down, Illustria missed completely, and Kiera hit the table and then the bottom of the pyramid but at that point the ball lost too much speed to do anything.

"You have to throw it hard, the bottles are kind of heavy." Selenia said.

"That would help if I could hit it." Illustria replied as Kitty grabbed a ball and, following Selenia's advice, threw it hard, with enough speed that it effortlessly smashed through the right side of the pyramid, knocking a few bottles down, then it continued and smacked into the back wall of the stand with a loud thud.

"Woah." Illustria said.

"If you aimed a little more to the left you would've nailed it. " Selenia said.

"Are you sure this isn't rigged?" Kitty asked.

"They're just heavy." Kiera said.

"Round 2." Illustria announced.

They all hit their pyramids this time, Illustria couldn't quite hit it hard enough, Selenia managed to knock down a couple more bottles, Kiera managed to hit the second round and knock down the top three, and Kitty just completely annihilated hers and sent bottles flying in every direction. Once again the ball collided with the back wall of the stand with a loud thud as the other girls watched in awe.

"I guess Kitty wins." Kiera said.

"What the? How are you that strong?" Illustria asked.

"I dunno." Kitty replied, feeling somewhat embarrassed.

"It probably because she's a digimon." Selenia pointed out.

"Yeah." Kitty agreed.

"Ok so if she's that strong…and she doesn't even look like a body builder, IceLeomon must be insanely strong." Illustria said.

"Yeah, but she's a mega apparently, IceLeomon is only an ultimate because he didn't want to get the ability to digivolve for some reason." Selenia sad.

"Zari said it was because he didn't want to become something cute and cuddly." Kiera said.

"What? That's ridiculous." Illustria replied.

"She said, that before they got sent to our universe, he lost a bet and turned into a small chubby dog like thing with a cape." Kiera continued.

"Like Ninjamon?" Illustria asked.

"No, like he was still fluffy and black and white, and I can't think of what the universal descriptor is." Kiera said. "But he wore a red cape."

"He was a pandamon." Kitty said.

"Yeah but what's that look like?" Kiera said.

"Well he was black and white and fluffy and short, and really, really grumpy." Kitty said. "And we tried to change him back but we couldn't figure out how, I'm glad he figured it out on his own though."

"So he was like a neblong?" Illustria asked.

"No taller than that." Kiera said.

"Yeah he was still too big to fit in a microwave." Kitty added.

"Tailless carnivore, quadruped, but bipedal." Kiera said.

"Oh, like an afolaf?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah, but not as fat or sleepy and apparently grumpier too." Kiera said.

"Yeah he was very very grumpy." Kitty replied.

"He seems grumpy most of the time anyway." Selenia said.

"You should've seen him as a pandamon. He's just sit on the bus and stare at the floor for hours." Kitty insisted.

"Wait so he was small enough he could actually fit on the bus?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah. He was tiny." Kitty said.

"Like ninjamon?" Selenia asked.

"Well not that tiny, like two ninjamons." Kitty said.

"Oh, well that's still pretty tiny." Selenia said.

"Yeah, he was shorty than Saphy even, and fluffy, and really, really grumpy." Kitty agreed.

"So IceLeomon with short man syndrome?" Kiera asked.

"Sounds like it." Illustria laughed.

"So how did he get back to the way he is now?" Kiera asked.

"I don't even know, he must have figured it out on his own. Which is probably a good thing because now he's not so grumpy anymore." Kitty said.

Back at the ferris wheel. –

"You sure you want to try to go through with this? We could just spend the night alone together." I asked as I found myself completely in love with my wife.

"Cj we'll have so many more nights alone together, don't worry. I'm never going to stop loving you, never ever." Phoebe said.

"I hope so." I said.

"So do you guys want to go again or are you done?" Challana asked as we found ourselves at the bottom of the wheel again.

"No thankyou Chally, I think we're done, come on let's go back to the others." Phoebe said as she clambered out of the car.

"Ok." I said as I followed her out.

Challana followed us as well of course. A minute or so later we reunited with the others who were engaged in a ring toss game,

"Can we join in?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah you can all go after Kitty." Illustria said.

"Remember Kitty Kat control your throws it's not about power it's about accuracy." I said.

A lot of these carnival games were simple enough that they were known almost universally, countless alien cultures ended up developing their own versions of them over time with little in the way of variation.

"I know, I was just remembering you saying that." Kitty said.

"Allright then." I replied.

"She's played this before?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah and she shattered one of the rings." I said.

"Wow." Phoebe said.

"Uh huh." I replied.

"Yeah we had no idea she was that strong." Illustria said.

"Yeah, she creamed those poor bottles earlier you should've seen it." Kiera added.

"Eh, I've lived with her for twenty years, I've seen plenty of her antics." I said.

"What antics?" Kitty asked.

"And I still love her." I said before quickly kissing her on the cheek.

"Oh Cj." Phoebe said.

"And you. " I said as I kissed her on the cheek before she could even think about getting jealous.

"You're still so sweet." Phoebe said.

"Mhm." Kitty agreed.

"I love my ladies, what can I say?" I said.

"And we love you." Phoebe replied.

"If you could stop being all googly eyed for a moment Kitty it's your turn." Illustria said.

"Oh, ok. Sorry. " Kitty said.

"Concentrate Kitty Kat." I said.

"I know, be quiet now." She replied.

"Sometime today would be nice." Illustria said. Impatient as usual.

"Shh she's concentrating." Phoebe said.

"Yeah we're in no hurry." Selenia said.

"Yeah calm down Lucy." Keira said.

"I can't wait to watch you fuck her silly later." Phoebe said to me via telepathy.

"Pheebles." I said out loud, sternly.

"I'm gonna make her go first." Phoebe continued.

"You're a mess." I said.

"What is she even doing?" Challana asked.

"You don't really want to know." I said.

"Sister stop doing whatever you're doing to him. Also it's your turn. Kitty said.

"Did you make it I didn't see?" I asked.

"Almost." Kitty replied.

"Awe well, you can't win them all." I said.

"Hey Kitty Kat, we need to talk for a little bit." Phoebe said.

"About what?" Kitty asked.

"Just about tonight. Don't worry I'm not mad at you." Phoebe replied.

Phoebe led her off to the side as I took my turn, to talk to her about god knows what she was planning.

I threw the ring, got it hooked around one the pegs, Kiera cutely cheered for me, then Selenia went into the stand to get all the rings back, and then it was Illustria's turn again.

"Cj come here." Phoebe said before Illustria threw her ring.

"What?" I asked.

"I elaborated my plan for tonight." She replied after I made my way over to where she and Kitty were standing.

"Ok." I replied.

"When we leave you're going to go have some alone time with Kitty while I help all the newbies get ready for tonight. Then by the time we're ready for you, you should be ready to go again."

"So Kitty isn't going to be at the thing?" I said.

"No, but she gets you to herself for awhile instead and she already agreed to it so now you just have to agree to it." Phoebe said.

"Mhm." Kitty nodded.

"And I still get her the day after tomorrow?" I asked.

"Yes and me the day before that cause I still love you too you big dummy." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles, if you somehow get them to agree to this this is it for awhile ok?" I said.

"Cj I already told you I wouldn't go through with this if I didn't think you could handle it. It's going to be fun, it always is, quit worrying about it and just shut up and trust me." Phoebe said.

"What do you think Kitty Kat?" I asked.

"Trust her, she loves you as much as I do." Kitty said.

"No, I love him way more than you do." Phoebe said.

"Prove it." Kitty replied.

"Why do you think I let you be our virara?" Phoebe asked.

"Um." Kitty struggled to come up with an answer.

"I'll give you a hint fluffy butt it's not cause I love you." Phoebe replied.

"You've only known him for four years, before you got separated. He's been with me for twenty and even before that he has been supporting me for an entire lifetime, while he was married to Aranea who was also with him a lot longer than you." Kitty said.

"Yeah because he's nice and without him you're such a bimbo that you'd be on the streets sucking stranger's dicks so you can buy drugs to escape the pain of being such a worthless loser for a few minutes at a time." Phoebe said as she went full fucking nuclear.

"Jesus Christ, I love you both, quit fighting." I said as Kitty stood there in complete shock, on the verge of breaking down.

"Sorry." They replied.

"Apologize to each other." I said.

"Sorry." Kitty said as she held back tears turned around and walked away.

"Great, now she's upset." I said.

"I guess that was a little harsh." Phoebe said.

"That was a fucking precision nuclear strike you idiot." I said.

"Well I didn't mean it." Phoebe said.

"That doesn't undo the damage." I replied.

"Kitty Kat." I said as I ran up behind her and pulled her into a hug.

"She's so mean." She replied.

"Yeah, well you made her feel threatened and she doesn't have the best impulse control. I still love you, she'll learn in time. Ok?" I said.

"Ok." She replied.

"Kitty it's your turn again!" Illustria yelled while we exchanged a quick kiss.

"Yeah come on lovebirds you're holding up the game." Kiera said.

"Are we still playing?" Kitty asked as migrated back over to the stand.

"Yeah it's best 5 out of seven." Illustria said.

"A couple rounds ago it was best 3 out of five." Selenia pointed out.

"And before that it was two out of three." Kiera added.

"Well it's not fair, I'm not in the zone yet." Illustria replied.

"Go take your turn, I'm going to talk to Pheebles for a bit. Don't let her get to you." I said.

"Ok." Kitty replied.

"Pheebles." I said.

"I'll tell her I'm sorry." Phoebe said.

"She knows." I replied. "But you gotta stop escalating it like that, I mean it."

"Are we still on for tonight?" Phoebe asked.

"I guess so, but chill the hell out, you literally just blew up at her cause she tried to prove she loves me more than you, you're smarter than her, you know how fucking stupid that is."

"Yeah it was stupid, I'm sorry." She agreed.

"The whole damned world treated her like that, she doesn't need it from you. We can make this work but you can't be at each other's throats over stupid shit like that all the time." I said.

"I know." She replied.

"And I'm just a helpless idiot because I can't stop loving either of you." I said.

"Oh Cj." Phoebe replied. "I'm going to try harder, you'll see ok? "

"I hope so, because I really don't want to have to choose between the two of you. I mean, you know I'll choose you because of our kids, but I can't do that to her Pheebles, you know it." I said.

"I'm not going to make you choose Cj, but we're not going to get along all the time, you're smart, you know that." Phoebe said.

"Well you can tone it down a bit." I said.

"Yeah, and I'll try to do that for you I promise." Phoebe said.

"Ok then." I said.

"Do you guys still want to play? It's been Cj's turn for like thirty minutes now!" Illustria asked.

"More like maybe 3 minutes." Kiera said.

"Yeah, we're coming." I said.

"Wait I want a kiss too!" Phoebe said as I turned towards the stand.

"Oh right, sorry baby girl." I said as I turned back around, quickly kissed her on the lips and then we migrated back over to the game before Illustria through a fit about having to wait so long.

"Kitty I didn't mean what I said, I'm so sorry." Phoebe said as she gave Kitty a hug.

"You were really mean." Kitty replied.

"I know, I wasn't thinking, it just, I was a jealous idiot seeing red." Phoebe replied.

"You're a mess." Kitty said.

"Yeah, a big mess." Phoebe said.

"but you're his mess." Kitty said.

"And so are you, his I mean, not the mess part." Phoebe said.

"You don't get it do you?" Kitty asked.

"Huh?" Phoebe asked.

"When Cj says that to me after I mess up or get confused or whatever it means everything is going to be ok so I don't have to keep trying." Kitty explained.

"Ok." Phoebe said.

"And I just said you're a mess." Kitty said.

"And I am." Phoebe replied.

"Which means you can stop saying you're sorry because I already forgive you." Kitty explained.

"Oh, um, thanks then." Phoebe replied.

"Mhm." Kitty replied.

"Sister?" Phoebe asked.

"Always." Kitty replied.

"What is with you three? Phoebe it's your turn go already." Illustria said as they hugged.

"You want to go then go, we're trying to work something out." I said.

"No we'll wait." Illustria said.

"Ok then." I replied as my ladies made up.

"Chally is your coat still holding up?" I asked.

"Yeah, for now, it's starting to melt a little though." Challana replied.

"Well we can have Cloudela refreeze it if we need to." I said.

"Oh that's right we should let our pokémon out." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, after this maybe, we'll find an open enough area." I said.

"Yeah." Phoebe agreed.

"But now you need to take your turn before Illustria blows a gasket or something." I said.

"Yeah." She replied with a giggle.

"You should just go stick you weiner in her mouth and shut her up." Kitty said.

"Kitty Kat ?!" I said, surprised she would say such a thing.

Phoebe just started to laugh as she took her turn.

"Guess we really are sisters." Phoebe said.

"Great that means . . . . . " I began to say.

"That we're both going to make it our life's work to make you completely and utterly insane." Phoebe interrupted.

"Of course it does." I said as Phoebe picked a ring off of the counter and threw it haphazardly towards the pegs just to get her turn over with.

I followed and basically did the same.

"This s boring what are we playing for anyway?" Phoebe asked.

"Just for fun." Illustria said.

"She wants to win." Kiera said.

"I'm not find this fun anymore." Selenia said.

"Yeah, it got boring pretty fast." Challana replied as she took her turn.

"Well then you win, let's move on to something else." Phoebe said.

"What's the next game?" Kitty asked.

"That shooting gallery with the kangaroos." I said.

"There's only four guns." Phoebe said.

"So only four can go at once." I said.

"If it works." Phoebe replied.

"Loser has to go into the stand and get shot at." Illustria said.

"Are you crazy that really hurts." Kitty pointed out.

"They're not actual guns Kitty Kat." I said, to put her mind at ease in case that was what she was thinking.

"Well, it still hurts." Kitty insisted.

"How do we know who lost?" Selenia asked.

"Whoever hits the least amount of targets." Kiera suggested. "Whoever isn't playing is going to have to keep track."

About as expected, the guns fired smooth, colorful, golf ball-sized foam balls using some kind of compressed air system with just enough power to knock over the targets. The balls looked brand new. Everybody got five since that was what the sign on the stand seemed to say. Five balls and 30 seconds for five hundred mystery monetary units. Or 750 for ten and 60 seconds. The timer started once the first shot was taken. It was interesting to note that we never found any actual currency within any of the stands or anywhere else, or even a register or even just a lock box that the cash would logically be stored in, just whatever materials were necessary to play the games and a handful of prizes that hadn't been taken by passing digimon yet.

Another sign, alongside the one with the prices, seemed to give basic instructions for the game in an unknown language, but also a somewhat understandable series of diagrams. Yellow kangaroos were worth 1 point, two rows moved to the right and the middle row moved to the left. Red ones, which were rarer and bobbed up and down in addition to moving side to side, were worth five, and there was one for every five yellow ones. Finally there were the blue ones, which only seemed to pop up for brief periods every once in a while and were worth ten points, and then there was a table with exchange rates for prizes, with large prizes presumably worth 35 points, 25 for a medium prize, and 10 for a small prize. Though we were just playing for points and not prizes, cause nobody was ever going to care if we just took the prizes. As sad as it was this was probably the busiest this amusement park was ever going to be for a while. Even when there were a lot of digimon in this weird city, they didn't seem to make much use of it. They probably never realized all the rides and games could be turned on.

The gallery was divided into four lanes, one for each gun. Between each lane there was a little mechanism to automatically reset the targets between each lane as they went around in an oval, and an ingenious scoring system that I couldn't tell if it was electrical or just blatantly anomalous in nature. Presumable the targets completed some kind of electrical circuit when they were hit.

Anyway, as had been the precedent with all these games so far today, the newbies went first, now joined by Challana.

"Should I make Illustria lose?" Phoebe asked me via telepathy.

"Why?" I asked.

"Just to see if she'll go through with it." Phoebe said.

"Just don't get caught." I thought, actually kind of amused by the idea.

"Well duh." Phoebe insisted as she went over to Illustria in order to put her powers to work, inconspicuously forcing her balls off course.

"I guess it shoots a bit to the left." Illustria said as she aimed further to the right to compensate, only for the ball to curve slightly to the right, becoming even more off.

"I think this one is broken." Illustria said.

"It can't be everything here is pristine, if that one is broken then they're all broken." Phoebe said.

"Mine seems fine to me." Selenia commented.

"Are you doing this?" Illustria asked Phoebe.

"No." Phoebe replied nervously.

"Haha really funny." Illustria said.

"I'm not doing anything I swear." Phoebe said.

"Then why are you over here and Cj is still over there?" Illustria asked.

"Because I wanted to get a better view to see if you were actually any good, but it turns out you're not so I'll be leaving now bye." Phoebe said before slinking away.

"She's already onto me." Phoebe quiet said to me once she got back.

"That didn't take long." I replied.

"IT WAS YOU!" Illustria yelled after she took her last two shots and managed to hit something.

"You sure you're not just a bad shot?" Phoebe replied.

"No I'm sure that every shot was wonky aside from the ones I took after you walked back over to Cj." Illustria said.

"How many points did you get?" Selenia asked.

"Just 6." Illustria said.

"I got 16, so I have more than her." Kiera said.

"20, so she loses, by a lot, so she has to go in there and get shot at." Selenia said.

"26." Chally said.

"But Pheebles messed me up." Illustria said.

"Pheebles, she caught you own up to it." I said, figuring this had escalated enough.

"Ok fine, yeah I messed her up." Phoebe said. "She should get another shot."

"Ok then. We'll just start over." Selenia replied as she headed into the stand to retrieve the balls and reset all the scores, most of which collected into a hopper below the targets, but a few ended up on the floor.

"I guess she's smarter than she looks." Phoebe said to me.

"Maybe you're just losing your touch." I said.

"Yeah right." Phoebe replied.

"Why did you do that?" Kitty asked.

"Because I thought it would've been funny if she lost and then had to go in there and get shot at after she's the one that made that rule." Phoebe said.

"You know what's even funnier though Pheebles? She could still lose." I said.

"Yeah." Phoebe replied.

"Ok let's try this again." Illustria said. "Phoebe, no interfering this time, and when it's your turn you better not cheat either!"

"Yeah yeah." Phoebe replied.

Next round the score was 15-16-21-27.

"Oh come on, Chally how are you that good?" Illustria asked when she realized she lost again.

"Well now you have to go in there." Selenia said.

"Really?" Illustria asked.

"I didn't make the rules." Selenia said.

"Ok." Illustria replied.

"You can give us the balls back too." Selenia said.

"Yeah just you can shoot me with them." Illustria said.

"Yep." Kiera replied.

"I can't believe she lost anyway." Phoebe said.

"By one point." I replied.

"Yeah, but still." Phoebe said. "Atleast this should be fun to watch."

"What if I lose?" Kitty asked.

"Then we'll have to shoot at you." Phoebe said.

"Don't worry about it, they're just foam balls, they're not that powerful. Besides you can't be that bad can you?" I said.

"She doesn't have to play if she doesn't want to." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, that too.' I agreed.

"Please don't hit me in the face." Illustria said.

"Ok." Selenia replied.

"Yeah body shots only we're not trying to hurt her, too much." Phoebe said.

"You want me to get hurt?" Illustria asked.

"Only as long as it's funny, remember this was all your idea to begin with." Phoebe said mischievously.

"Gee, thanks." Illustria said with heavy sarcasm.

"You're welcome." Phoebe mischievously replied.

"You better hope you don't lose." Illustria said.

"I never said I was going to play." Phoebe said.

"And besides Cj would let us win anyway. Wouldn't you Cj?" Phoebe continued.

I chose not to answer that.

"Cj?" Phoebe asked a few seconds later.

"I'm staying out of this." I replied.

"That's fine, I know you wouldn't want to shoot me or Kitty. And I wouldn't shoot you either." Phoebe said.

"I wouldn't either." Kitty chimed in.

"Kitty wouldn't, but you would." I said.

"I would not and you know it, therefore it's pointless for us to play against each other." Phoebe replied.

"Well what happened at the bumper cars then?" I asked, remembering how she rammed into me before we even got out of the starting area.

"That was different." Phoebe insisted. "That wasn't going to hurt you."

"Do I really have to do this?" Illustria asked.

"Well if you don't do it, it's only fair that nobody else has to do it." Phoebe said.

"Ok then I don't want to do this." Illustria said.

"Ok." Phoebe replied. "Maybe you should think before you speak next time."

"Eheh, maybe." Illustria said.

"Next time we might not be so forgiving." Phoebe said.

"Was that really that bad of an offense?" I asked.

"Yes, she lost the game Cj, and by her own rules that means she has to go in there and get pelted with those balls." Phoebe insisted.

"Yeah but you're treating it like she just slapped you or something." I said.

"Yeah because she backed out." Phoebe said. "Like a young starly."

"Like a what?" Illustria asked.

"A starly, it's a little flying pokémon that is extremely timid when it first leaves it's nest. If you make any sudden moves around them they'll retreat into the forest as fast as they possibly can." Phoebe explained.

"Like a bawking bird?" Kiera asked.

"Is she calling me a coward?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah basically." I said.

"You're just a whittle baby starly." Phoebe said in a much more playful and mischevious tone. "Twee. Twee. Twee. Twee. "

"Yeah Bawk! Bawk! Bawk! " Kiera joined in.

"Yeah exactly, you get it." Phoebe replied. "Cj calls those chickens."

"So she's a chicken?" Selenia asked.

"Yeah but also like a little baby starly too." Phoebe said.

"What?" Challana asked, confused as everyone else except for Phoebe.

"Pheebles cut it out." I said.

"Oh come, I'm just having a little fun at her expense." She said.

"Yeah I know, cut it out." I replied.

"Ok fine I'll do it." Illustria replied.

"Then I'll cut it out." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles." I said.

"What?" Phoebe asked.

"She better not get hurt." I replied.

"They're just foam balls Cj, she'll be fine." Phoebe said. "If I thought she was in any danger you know I wouldn't have talked her into it."

"Yeah, I'll believe you on that one." I said, knowing she never really intended to harm anyone.

"Thankyou." Phoebe replied as the 3 other newbies prepared to pelt Illustria with a colourful barrage of foam balls.

As expected it was barely more than getting hit by a nerf gun, enough to be thoroughly annoying, but not enough to cause any lasting pain.

"Ok that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." Illustria said as she left the stand feeling more embarrassed than in pain.

"Good job, you toughed it out." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, so, now what?" Illustria asked.

"Cj will play in your place." Phoebe said.

"What?" I asked.

"Well I can't do it, I can cheat." Phoebe said.

"What was that? Twee, Twee, Twee?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah, Twee, Twee, Twee." I agreed.

"CeeeeeeJaay!" Phoebe said.

"PHEEEEEEEEEBLES!" I replied, mimicking her.

"Is she afraid she won't be that good?" Kiera asked.

"You want to see me get shot at?" Phoebe asked in an overly dramatic tone.

"You just sold me out. And if Illustria can take it you can take it. Kitty what do you think?" I asked.

"It didn't look like it hurt that bad." Kitty said.

"Then you try." Phoebe replied.

"No you go first." Kitty insisted.

"I just figured Cj would be nice enough to go for me." Phoebe said to Kitty.

"I figured you would be brave enough to go yourself, since you insisted that it was safe enough for Illustria." I replied.

"It's entertaining just watching them argue." Selenia pointed out.

"Yeah hehe I know right?" Kiera said.

"You should ride with them sometime." Chally said.

"Ok, but if I don't lose, I want you to kiss me in front of everybody." Phoebe said.

"I'll kiss you even if you lose. Actually you know what just come here I love you baby." I said.

"I love you." She said before we kissed.

"Now go win this, show them what you got." I said.

"Kitty, it's your job to protect CJ while I'm over there." Phoebe said before heading up to the stand.

"Pheebles you're only like ten feet away? And protect me from what there's nothing here. I mean I can still talk to you without yelling even." I asked.

"I know, but still, Cj, we can't take chances." Phoebe replied.

"She loves you that's why." Kitty said as she put her arms around me from behind.

"Nah she's just being a goofball." I said.

"But she loves you." Kitty said.

"Yeah she loves me, but she's also being a goofball, but she's happy, behind it all." I said.

"ok." Kitty replied.

"Do you want a kiss too?" I asked.

"No I just want to hug you right now." Kitty replied.

"Oh ok." I said as the others started another round

"Is she any good?" Illustria asked.

"She's shot guns before, but she prefers to rely on her powers." I replied.

"How do we tell if she's using her powers to cheat?" Illustria asked.

"If the balls start doing things they're not supposed to. Or if she closes her eyes for more than it takes to blink. It usually means she's trying to focus her powers on something, or she's just sleepy." I said.

"Interesting." Illustria replied.

"Cj quit telling her all my secrets." Phoebe said.

"What secrets? Don't you have a game to win?" I asked.

"I'm waiting for a good shot on one of the blue ones." Phoebe said.

"You only have 30 seconds so don't wait too long." I said.

"Well then be quiet." Phoebe replied.

"Pheebles." I scolded her.

"Shhh, not right now." She replied, trying to focus on the game.

"No cheating." Kitty said.

"Ugh, not you too." Phoebe replied.

With that we let her play, as the wooshing sounds of the airguns being fired and the mechanical sounds being made by the shooting gallery blended together and filled the air, until everyone ran out of balls. They could shoot after the time ran out, but it wouldn't count towards their score.

"OK I got 20, what did everyone else get?" Phoebe asked nervously.

"25, so you lose." Selenia said.

"I got 20 as well." Challana added.

"Oh so you both might have to go in there." Illustria said.

"No, they don't, I got 18." Kiera said, solemnly.

"So that means you have to go in there Kiera." Illustria replied.

"Yeah, yeah, I know." She replied before making her way inside and redistributing all the balls.

"Can I cheat on this part?" Phoebe asked.

"Why would you want too?" I asked.

"So I can hit her big green boobs." Phoebe said.

"Well then extra no." I said.

"Yeah no, you pervert." Kiera said.

"Maybe she's just jealous." Illustria said.

"Probably both." Selenia suggested.

"I am not jealous, you know how my boobs work by now." Phoebe said.

"So you admit you're just a pervert?" Illustria asked.

" No, be quiet I need to concentrate." Phoebe said.

"On my boobs?" Kiera asked.

"No, on hitting them with these balls." Phoebe replied before opening fire out of frustration.

Selenia and Challana joined in later, harmlessly pelting Kiera from all sides.

"I'm out." Phoebe said before walking away.

"Where you going?" I asked as Chally and Celly took their last shots.

"I ran out of balls it's your turn." Phoebe replied.

"I don't get to play against you?" I asked.

"Do you want to shoot me?" Phoebe asked.

"They're just foam balls Pheebles, and besides, I need revenge for the bumper cars." I said.

"Ok fine, then, it's on." Phoebe said.

"Kiera Cj is taking your spot next round." Phoebe said as Kiera came out of the stand after resetting the game once again.

"I thought you two weren't going to play against each other." Illustria commented.

"Well Cj things he needs revenge cause I bumped into him at the bumper cars. So let's see if he's good enough to earn it." Phoebe said.

"So our scores won't count this round?" Selenia asked.

"That's a good idea Selly, that way only he or I can lose. So yeah if either you or Chally lose, you won't have to go in there, but you can still play for fun." Phoebe said.

"This should be good." Illustria said.

I loaded a bunch of balls into the gun and watched the targets go around and around. I had all the time in the world to take the first shot, so it might as well be at a blue one, which unlike the other targets, popped up sporadically instead of circling through the range. After watching it for a while it seemed to pop up at random above a random row of targets, of which there were 3, in one of 9 spots, so being able to hit it basically amounted to training the gun onto one the spots it was known to pop up. So I did that and hit it quite easily, giving me ten points right off the bat and starting the 45 second timer. Not knowing when the next blue kangaroo would show up I turned my attention to the red ones, which were placed after every 5 yellow ones and also slowly bobbed up and down at a rate that only made them slightly harder to hit than the yellow. So I hit one of those then saw a blue one pop up in the top right and moved to aim at it, but it started going down right as I fired and by the time the ball got there it was already down and I missed.. So I had fifteen points and two balls left and enough time to not really care. Went back to shoot at the red ones when another blue one popped up on the middle left, I quickly turned towards it and fired, which thankfully counted giving me 25 points in total, it was a very lucky shot that could have easily missed as well. Another red one gave me a total of 30 points and then I was out of ammo. At that point I quickly realized I was the last one to finish.

"I got 30 points Pheebles, how many did you get?"

"25." Phoebe replied, nervously.

"Well you know what you have to do." I said.

"I know." Phoebe replied.

"He must have got lucky to get that much." Selenia said.

"Yeah I did, if I shot that blue one a few fractions of a second later I would've missed, but still a game is a game Pheebles." I said.

"Can I shoot at her if you don't want too?" Illustria asked.

"No, I need revenge for the bumper cars." I said.

So Phoebe had her turn in the stand.

"Now we're even." She said when it was over.

"Yeah." I replied.

"And I want my kiss." Phoebe said.

"Well then come here." I replied.

We kissed and then we held each other for a moment.

"That really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." Phoebe said.

"Yeah it looks a lot scarier than it is. Doesn't it?" I asked.

"Are we going to do another round?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't know baby girl you want to?" I asked.

"Yeah this is starting to get boring too." Illustria chimed in.

"Yeah." Selenia agreed.

"Well, we still need to let our pokémon out for a bit." Phoebe said.

"Oh yeah. We should probably do that now." I replied.

"Yeah let's go find a more open space." Phoebe said.

"Well I want to go on the roller coaster a few more times." Illustria said.

"Ok go do that then. Everyone else you're all capable of making your own decisions, it's a big park, find something fun to do." Phoebe said before we headed off to find somewhere to let our pokémon out. Kitty followed us, of course, along with Kiera and Challana, while Illustria headed back to the rollercoaster with Selenia.

"You sure you want to follow us?" Phoebe asked.

"I want to see your pokémon." Kiera said.

"Me too." Challana agreed.

"Ok." Phoebe replied.

"Did you get yours healed baby girl?" I asked.

"Yeah, they should all be ready to play." Phoebe replied.

"Cool. I guess that means it's time for a reunion." I said.

"Very very true." Phoebe replied.

"I this place by the fountain will work pretty well." I said.

"I think so too." Phoebe replied.

"Allright let's do this." I said as I pulled several poke balls out of my pocket, pressing the buttons so they would expand to their full size.

"Yeah let's go." Phoebe said as she pulled all her pokeballs out of her purse.

Then we threw them all up into the air and let them all out at once putting on a little show for the others. As the area quickly filled up with our pokémon who seemed to begin to talk amongst themselves as most of Phoebe's team had been out of commission for quite some time.

"Since you're here we might as well properly introduce you to them." Phoebe said.

"Quil." Mr. Cinders chimed in as he brushed up against her leg, a red and silver cyndaquil from an alternate pokémon world where pokémon had the same names but slightly different appearances, such as pidgeys looking like overgrown bluejays, and chickoritas having more of a ribbon like leaf on their head as opposed to the broad leaf that everyone had come to understand as normal. He was still pretty low level as we had literally just received him as a starter and there wasn't much to train him against out here besides Henry and Claire's starters.

"You've seen most of Cj's on the ship before. That's Bubba over there if you remember, he was Cj's starter. Bulby over here was mine. Hellblade and magnum were the first pokémon Cj brought over to his world after me. The three of us are like his original team almost. Then he gave me Nidoqueen and Rapidash as some of my first pokémon. " Phoebe started to explain.

"And then I got Aggron as my fourth, way back when, but he's huge, so, I only let him out when there's nothing around he could accidently destroy." I said.

Then I got mouser later, but he's at home because he's not really good at fighting." Phoebe said.

"And he's evil." I said.

"He doesn't like Cj very much." Phoebe said.

"I wonder how he'll react to Kitty. Maybe she could baby sit him." I said.

"Ok that's not funny." Phoebe replied.

"What? I don't get it." Kitty said.

"It's ok, you just need to understand they don't like each other." Phoebe said.

"Oh so he wants me to accidently kill him?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, kind of, which is why it's not funny." Phoebe said.

"You said you started with Bubba and Bulby, but he got you first?" Kiera asked.

"Yeah, he got me, magnum, and Hellblade first, then, Aggron, nidoqueen, rapidash, mouser. Then when we got to the pokémon world and decided to take on the league, we started with a new team to have a more genuine experience. That's when we got Bubba and Bulby." Phoebe clarified.

" People do it all the time." I said.

"Yeah." Phoebe replied.

"Then we caught our golbats together, they're pretty common in caves, and Cj caught Rocky shortly after that." Phoebe continued to elaborate.

"Then Blossom and Polly." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe replied.

"Then you found Cubey in Lavender town, and we got Rhyhorn and Draco in the safari zone." I said.

"Yeah, and then we got Cloudela when we on a mission to the halogen region to find a pokémon that could hurt this virus monster thing." Phoebe said.

"Fuck I forgot about that." I said.

"Then we got Mr. Cinders from that alternate pokémon world. That's why he's so small compared to everyone else. We haven't had much time or opportunity to train him." Phoebe said. "Then we also have Mr. Jiggles, but he's at home too. He's just a big fluffy bunny."

"He was the last one I transferred over before Devon went and shut that whole process down." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe replied.

"And I think that's everyone." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe replied. "Except I think Cionna might still have my ninetales."

I stared at her in silence for a moment trying to comprehend who she was talking about.

"You don't remember her? OUR SISTER IN LAW?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, yeah, I just, it's been about a hundred years Pheebles, I need some time to remember this stuff." I said.

"Yeah, I guess that's fair." Phoebe conceded.

"Sister in law?" Kitty asked.

"It's a really long story, that I promise I will tell you in full sometime, but the short version is she married my brother." Phoebe replied.

"Ok." Kitty said, confused.

"So just let it go for now Kitty Kat, because if that confuses you, the whole story is only going to confuse you more." Phoebe said.

"I understand." Kitty replied.

"Anyway, welcome to this amusement park everybody, this is a fun time, nothing to battle, feel free to explore, but please don't leave the park and don't do anything dangerous." Phoebe said.

"Stay off the rollercoaster tracks." I clarified.

"Yeah, definitely, and in the unlikely event you find a digimon, other than Kitty, please let us know, we're pretty sure this place is safe, but we can't be absolutely sure. Bulby, look after Mr. Cinders and keep him safe. If you want to go on any of the rides let me know so we can operate them for you." Phoebe said.

"Quil" Mr. Cinders chirped.

"It's ok, Bulby will take care of you while we're here, I trust him." Phoebe said to him before handing him off to Bulby who immediately set him on his head as the others started to wander off and look for ways to enjoy their time.

"It's important to give them times like this just to have fun." Phoebe said.

"Mhm." I replied.

"You think they'll all be ok on their own?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, they're smart enough to handle themselves." Phoebe said.

"So now what do you want to do?" I asked.

"Well we should stick by them in case they want to go on the rides." Phoebe said.

"Yeah." I replied.

"Can we ride with them?" Kiera asked.

"Yeah, if they want to go on any rides. We can help you get acquainted with them if you want." Phoebe replied.

"That sounds like a good idea." Kiera said.

"Yeah, who knows, they might save you someday." Phoebe replied.

"Really?" Kiera asked.

'Well, they've helped us a lot of times, but the digimon are so much stronger here." Phoebe said.

"Even against an ultimate they have to wail on them for quite some time in order to bring them down and hope they don't get an opportunity to strike back. We already learned that the hard way." I added.

"I took down a mega before though didn't I?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, baby, but you almost killed yourself in the process, so, yeah, don't be doing that anymore." I said.

"What about crimson seadramon?" Phoebe asked.

"You had Kitty's help." I replied.

"Mhm." Kitty agreed.

"But I made him eat all my shurikens." Phoebe defended.

"Most of them aren't big enough for that to work." I said.

"True, that fire guy was tougher." Phoebe agreed.

"He almost killed you." I said.

"Yeah, but I still beat him." Phoebe replied.

"You were bleeding from your ears." I said.

"Yeah well, we've already talked about this." Phoebe said.

"Yeah we have haven't we?" I said.

"Mhm, and I get it, so Shhhhhh." Phoebe said.

"Then just teleport us away next time, don't go all purple eyed and suicidal." I said.

"mmm. " She moped in defeat.

"So, it must get pretty chaotic at your house huh?" Kiera asked.

"Sometimes." Phoebe replied. "When it's a nice day we let them out early in the morning so they can go play and then they usually come back on their own in the evening. They're all friends so they usually do a good job of looking after each other."

"But only on nice days?" Challana asked.

"Well there's not enough room to let them all inside the house and most of them don't want to be left out in the rain either." Phoebe said.

"Bubba and Polli like the rain, but it can be dangerous for HellBlade." I said.

While a little rain won't harm most fire types, as most of them naturally live in the wild and have to deal with it on a regular basis, prolonged exposure will give them hypothermia faster than humans and all other types of pokemon, along with greatly limiting their powers. The zubat line hates sunlight and gets sunburned easilly. When let out during the day, they usually just find a tree and stay there. Rock and ground types are usually ok in the rain, but they are instinctively conditioned not to like it, as the real danger to them is if they get submerged in water, as their heavy bodies will sink fast and there is no way they can possibly swim. So unless they're also a water type, they're usually hydrophobic and will only approach a body of water if they need a drink.

"Well yeah they're water types." Phoebe replied. "Come on let's go see if any of them want to ride the big wheel."

"So um, what if they accidently hurt someone?" Challana asked.

"There not any more likely to do that than Kitty is." Phoebe replied.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Kitty replied.

"I mean they're pretty careful, so don't worry about it. Why don't we go see if anybody wants to go on the big wheel? We've been standing here long enough." Phoebe said.

And so we all followed her over there.

"I don't see any of our pokémon Pheebles." I said shortly after we arrived.

"Ok well, we'll run this in case they come by. Why don't you and Kitty go run the merry go round?" Phoebe said.

"Why don't you want to come with me?" I asked.

"Because they're our pokémon so it'll be better if one of us is at each of the rides they can go on." Phoebe explained. "Or else we'll have to leave one to Kiera and Chally, and that might not go very well."

With that she came up to me and pulled me into a kiss.

"No funny business I promise." She said. "Let's just do this for our pokémon."

"Allright Pheebles, fair enough." I said.

"Good boy." Phoebe replied.

So Kitty and I headed over to the merry-go-round so we could run it in case some of our pokémon wanted to ride, I guess that made us the closest thing this place ever had to staff members. Meanwhile it seemed Illustria and Selenia were still taking turns riding the rollercoaster, while the other ran it. Which could easily be seen from most places in the park.

"Do you think they'll like me?" Kitty asked.

"Well you already know some of them, so, probably. If you're kind to them they'll be kind to you. You probably just need to get to know Pheebles a little more." I sad.

"But I know her well enough already." Kitty replied.

"I meant her pokémon." I said.

"Oh." Kitty replied.

"And you don't, trust me." I said.

"Well yeah, you just sad that." Kitty replied.

"Ehhhh, nevermind." I said.

"So we're just supposed to wait around and see if they come here?" Kitty asked.

"Well you can ride if you want, it's kind of more for children though. And if we turn it on the music might help draw them here." I said.

"Are the pokémon children?" Kitty asked.

"Some can be childish. They each have their own personalities though. But no they're not children, except for maybe Mr. Cinders. " I said.

I very rarely let them out over the past century because I was terrified they would age, so we never really talked about them much.

"Isn't Phoebe a pokémon too?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, and she's definitely not a child. We were both 18 when we first met, not so much anymore. I honestly have no idea how old the others are, we got Bubba, Bulby, and Mr. Cinders as starters, starters are usually only given away when they're old enough to function on their own, but all species age at different rates. Most age a lot faster than humans." I said.

"What about Phoebe?" Kitty asked.

"Gardevoirs, they learn a lot of things faster, and then they age similiarly up until they become adults, then they slow way down, but obviously Phoebe and I don't even age anymore since that portal explosion.

"How come she can talk and the others can't?" Kitty asked.

"Because she's a psychic type, language comes easier to her." I said. " Sometimes other pokémon can learn to talk as well, but it's not very common. They understand what we say though, and they can communicate amongst themselves."

"So what's her big secret?" Kitty asked.

"We'll tell you when the time comes, nice try Kitty Kat." I said.

"Awwwwe." Kitty replied.

"You still want a secret to keep from her?" I asked.

"Yeah, but what?" Kitty asked.

"Your mind control abilities Kitty Kat, you can make me forget about whatever we're going to do when she leaves us alone later today. " I pointed out. "You'll be the only one that knows then so it'll be your secret."

"Yeah, but if I can't see you it will stop working won't it." Kitty said.

"Oh yeah, crap, eh well, it was an idea. You want to go on the merry-go-round or not?" I asked.

"What does it do?" Kitty asked.

"It spins around and makes music. I promise you it's not as scary as the rollercoaster. Here, I'll turn it on and show you." I said as I searched for the control panel.

I turned it on and all the lights lit up, reflecting off the shinier surfaces, it was extremely noticeable, even during the day. Another switch started spinning it around slowly. And another turned on the calliope music, running off of what appeared to be another air compressor.

"See Kitty Kat, that's all it does." I said as it span around innocently. "You want to ride or not?"

"I just want to watch it spin." She replied.

"Ok fair enough." I replied.

"So she's letting us have some time together before the thing tonight. What do you want to do?" I asked a few seconds later.

"I don't know. She kind of expects us to have sex doesn't she?" She replied.

"Yep." I replied.

"You want to?" Kitty asked.

"Whatever you want Kitty Kat." I said.

"Can we?" Kitty asked.

"Yes, but do you want to try to find a place here or just go back to the bus or the hotel? Those will probably be more comfortable." I asked.

"Why don't we wait until we're alone to decide?" Kitty asked.

"Ok, if that's what you want." I replied.

HellBlade, my Houndoom showed up a couple minutes later. Like Kitty he seemed content to watch it spin around. Even when I pointed out that it could be ridden on. I asked him where everyone else went and he gave me a confused look indicating he didn't know.

A few more minutes went by, then Polli, Cubey, and Blossom, who were basically our smallest pokémon showed up, whenever we had both of our teams out, these three usually tended to group together, though Cubey would go off on his own on occasion. Cloudela was also pretty small, but being able to float around meant that it usually ended up hanging out with Cap'n'magnum.

As soon as I mentioned to them that it was a ride they could go on, Cubey went over and tried to climb onto it, while it was still moving.

"Cubey wait a second, let me stop it first. Don't hurt yourself." I said, prompting HellBlade to bark at him in disapproval while he seemingly ignored me.

Thankfully he managed to climb onto it without getting hurt, but then he encouraged the others to try. Thankfully they were smarter than that. There was no way Blossom was getting up there on her own the step up onto the platform was almost as tall as she was. After I brought the ride to a stop, Cubey helped her up and Polli climbed on as well. With no additional passengers in sight I started it up again. Keeping an eye on them to make sure they weren't doing anything dangerous, but the three amigos seemed to be having a good time. Rhyhorn came charging by, for some reason, didn't even look at us, he just kept running though nobody seemed to be chasing him. Maybe he found it fun?

"Where's he going?" Kitty asked when she saw him.

"I have no idea. That's my rhyhorn, he's tough, but not very bright. Hopefully he doesn't crash into anything." I replied.

"That could hurt him can't it?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, especially since a lot of this stuff is indestructible.

"You know Kitty I thought about it a little more." I said.

"About what?" She asked.

"About you making me forget whatever we do after this." I said.

"I told you it won't work." Kitty said.

"Yeah, but if you make me erase from my mind, just because you don't have control of me isn't going to restore those memories." I said.

"But you won't forget about it anymore." Kitty replied.

"Ok let me put it this way Kitty Kat, if you used your powers on me to make me cut myself." I began.

"Why would I ever do that I love you." Kitty replied.

"Just let me finish. It's just an example, ok, so if you did that, and then lost sight of me, that cut's not just going to heal itself." I said.

"Yeah, you'd just stop cutting yourself." Kitty said.

"Right." I replied.

"So if you use your powers to make me erase something from my mind." I continued.

"Stopping won't bring the memories back. But if I use it to put somebody to sleep." Kitty said.

"They stay asleep don't they?" I asked.

"Oh yeah, for a while anyway." Kitty replied.

"So I think, this will work, and we can get you a secret." I said before kissing her on the cheek.

"Maybe." Kitty replied.

"Now keep quiet about it because if any of the pokemon hear us Phoebe will find out." I said.

"Ok." Kitty replied.

At some point we returned all of Phoebe's pokemon and then she headed back to the hotel to help them get ready for the night, as she said. After that, it turns out the plan Kitty and I made worked a little too well, because a few minutes after Phoebe and the newbies headed back to the hotel to get ready for the night, the next thing I remember is suddenly gaining consciousness all the way back on the bus, with nobody else around. It was trippy as hell, as I didn't even remember ever getting knocked out to begin with. It was literally like one minute I was watching Phoebe leave the park with the newbies, and the next I was back on the bus. I was in a deep state of confusion for several minutes until Kitty came in, still in her Lilithmon form.

"What the hell just happened?" I asked.

"I think it worked. You fell asleep really quickly I was starting to worry you wouldn't wakeup." Kitty replied.

"Did we have sex? Why are we still dressed?" I asked.

"It's a secret." Kitty replied.

"You cheeky little, come here.' I said as I pulled her close into a kiss.

"I'm guessing we didn't because I'm starting to feel something. Mmmm, I love you Kitty Kat." I said as I showered her with kisses.

"No no no, we can't do this right now or Phoebe will get mad. Come on we need to get back to the hotel it's almost dark." Kitty said as she pulled away from me.

"I guess we'll just have to wait for the day after tomorrow then." I said as I checked my pockets to find I still had my pokeballs. I still had my pokemon out when Phoebe left, hopefully I had the sense to return them.

"Mhm." Kitty replied.

"Did I return my pokemon?" I asked.

"It's a secret." Kitty replied.

"I secret I could find out in a minute or you could just be nice and tell me right away." I replied.

"Yeah, you returned them, don't worry." Kitty replied.

"Good." I said as we headed back to the hotel.

"You told me to tell you that you did whatever you could to make sure that whatever we just did would remain a secret to everyone but me." Kitty said.

"Ok." I said.

"But now you have to go back to Phoebe and help me rub it in her face." Kitty said.

"No, you can tease her a little bit, but that's not why I let you do this." I said.

"Then why did you?" Kitty asked.

"So you would stop asking Phoebe about her secret." I said.

Eventually we made it back to the hotel where Phoebe was waiting for us in the lobby.

"There you are, I was starting to think you would spend the whole night with her." Phoebe said as she came up and hugged me then she kissed me, and slowly started to make out with me before I pulled away.

"Damn Pheebles, hey slow down! What's gotten into you?" I asked.

"I just felt like I needed to remind you how much you love me since you seem to be thinking of her a lot." Phoebe said as we locked eyes for a moment.

"Wait a minute." Phoebe said.

"What?" I asked.

"KITTY DID YOU MESS WITH HIS MEMORIES?!" Phoebe said, looking extremely concerned.

"WHAT DID YOU DO? IS EVERYTHING OK? HE BETTER NOT BE HURT!" Phoebe said.

"Pheebles calm down it's ok." I said.

":Well you don't know, you don't even remember the last few hours." Phoebe said.

"It's fine Pheebles." I said.

"Take off your shirt." She replied.

"Wha-why?" I asked.

"Because I need to make sure she didn't scratch you up." Phoebe continued.

"Pheebles, I'm fine." I said.

"I wanted a secret, so he couldn't know, so you couldn't know." Kitty said.

"So you did something horrible and erased his memories?" Phoebe asked.

"No!" Kitty objected.

"Did you try to make him love you more than me?" Phoebe asked.

"Why would I do that? He already loves us both." Kitty said.

"Look we probably just had sex like you expected and then she wiped my memory so only she would know, ok, I gave her the idea, I let her do it so she'd stop bugging you about your secret ok? That's it, nothing bad happened, she didn't hurt me, she didn't try to make me love her more, ok, and I'm still ready for tonight, if that's ok with you. Pheebles if she wanted to do that she had plenty of time to do so when you weren't around in the 20 years we were together." I said.

"Yeah, you have a point. Look, Kitty, don't do that again ever, or you're out." Phoebe said. "He's my Cj." She said as she selfishly held me tight.

"Awwwe, so that's what sets you off." I said, completely touched.

"You're mine." She said.

"I know." I said.

"nobody is allowed in your head but me." Phoebe said.

"Wait, do you go around messing with my memories?" I asked.

"No, but still, you're my Cj." Phoebe said.

"Ok there was that one time where I made you forget about the original Bubba, but you were hurting and you wanted me to, but that was it and I undid it later anyway.' Phoebe said.

"The original Bubba?" Kitty asked.

"Long story." Phoebe said.

"Of course . . .' Kitty said as she rolled her eyes.

"And you don't know exactly how her powers work Cj, what if she messes up your brain?" Phoebe asked.

"It's not the first time she's used her powers to control somebody, and I couldn't figure out another way to get her a secret she could keep from you." I said.

"She could have just gone off and done something by herself." Phoebe said.

'Yeah but then we wouldn't share that." I said.

"You don't share it now." Phoebe pointed out.

"Yeah well, we did before she wiped my memory." I said.

"You realize she basically killed a part of you?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah well, we can't change it those memories are gone now." I said. And they were, oddly enough, not even Phoebe could bring them back.

Phoebe sighed for a moment before turning to look Kitty in the eyes.

"Kitty, don't you ever do that again. I don't care what Cj says, don't do it." Phoebe said to her before turning towards me.

"Cj, let's just go upstairs and have a fun night." Phoebe said as she took my hand and tugged me towards the stairs.

"Love you Kitty Kat see you tomorrow." I said before I let Phoebe pull me along.

"Love you, Byeee." Kitty replied, annoyed that Phoebe insisted on dragging me away so quickly.

"I know you were just trying to be sweet, but seriously what were you thinking?" Phoebe asked on the way up the stairs when we were far enough away that Kitty wouldn't hear.

"I didn't think it would've been that big of a deal." I said.

"Well Cj, I'm not that mad, it's just, it scared me." Phoebe insisted.

"She's not going to steal me from you." I said. "She's not like that, she'd rather be your friend."

"But you don't know the long term effects of her powers." Phoebe said.

"I don't know the long term effects of your powers. And besides, that didn't matter when you wanted to sleep with Venusmon." I replied.

"That was different, that didn't involve her erasing our memories. And obviously you're ok so my powers must not have any long term effects." Phoebe said.

"Whatever Pheebles." I said, tired of arguing.

"Ok, well, listen, I'm not going to let this ruin tonight, so you better be ready." She said.

"I am, I just have to get in the mood again, with my sweet baby girl." I replied.

"Oh Cj." She replied as we headed towards the room.

"Please tell me I can have you alone for a bit before the others come in." I said.

"Of course you can." Phoebe replied.

"Good." I said.
