"Where's all the newbies?" I asked after we made it to our room, as I was halfway expecting them to be waiting for us.

"We were all wondering when you were going to come down." Kiera said.
"Why is that?" Ninjamon asked.
"Ninjamon are you bothering them?" Phoebe asked, not wanting him to be in this conversation.

"You know last night I was down here, and Saphy told me she liked you, why don't you go see her?" Phoebe lied.
"Yeah right, then why did she just kick me out of the pool again?" Ninjamon asked.
"I don't know, what'd you say to her?" Phoebe asked.
"Why is it always what I say?" Ninjamon asked.
"Sometimes, it's not what you say, it's how much you say." Phoebe said.

"Why don't you go find Zari and tell her we're awake?" Phoebe asked.
"Ok sure, will do." Ninjamon replied before speeding out the front door.

Just after Phoebe and Kitty left DarkVioletmon came in, which was strange as she usually seemed to prefer to stay outside, keeping an eye on us, but otherwise not really bothering to interact.
"If you're in here, something must be up." I said.
She didn't respond, she just kept heading for the stairway, didn't even take the time to look at me.

"I'm kind of creeped out now." Illustria said.
"Yeah, one of you go get Saphy, she's still probably in the pool." I said, hoping DarkVioletmon wouldn't hear, nobody completely trusted her yet, and this was new, of course it would help if she would just say something.
"Right." Kiera said before getting up and heading to the pool room. While I followed the eerie digimon and kept my distance.
"You need help?" Saphy asked as she came up behind me, while I stood at the base of the stairway, unsure whether I should follow DarkVioletmon up or not.
"Yeah that Darkvioletmon girl just came in and went up the stairs without saying a word." I replied. "You know she's been hanging around the parking garage all week and just now comes inside, why don't you follow her, make sure she's not up to something." I said.
"Where did Phoebe go?" Saphy asked.
"Checking on Blacklilymon, in the basement, making sure she's still asleep." I said.
"Ok, I'll go without her this one time, but you're coming with me." She said.
"Fair enough." I replied.
"Which floor did she go to?" Saphy asked.
"I don't know. I didn't want to follow her without backup or Phoebe would never let me hear the end of it." I said.
"Yeah sure, that's why." Saphy replied.
"She goes ballistic if I get scratched." I said. "If DarkVioletmon decides to betray us and I get beaten half to death she'll go all purple-eyed, beat herself half to death, and probably take this hotel with her."
"Well, she can't do that this hotel is invincible." Saphy said.
"Yeah but you can count on her going all purple-eyed." I said.
"Yeah, that's for sure. And then who knows what Kitty will do." Saphy agreed.
"Ehhh, Kitty is a lot more level headed than she is. Where Pheebles will crank it up to 12, Kitty might, gently nudge it up to 3, as long as nobody sprays her with water." I said.
"Anyway I think she might be heading for the roof, I don't think she knows where any of our rooms are, Blacklilymon is in the basement, everyone else's rooms are on either the first or second floor, there's not really much up above that but empty rooms." I said.
"Can we take an elevator then?" Saphy asked.
"Yeah, we might even beat her up there." I said as we got off at the third floor to head to the elevator. It was a 20 story building so there were quite a lot of stairs to climb. Several days ago we briefly looked through the upper floors to see if any digimon were occupying them, and while we didn't check every single room, there didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary. All the good rooms were near the bottom, all the "cheeper' rooms were up top, presumably so wealthier customers didn't have to deal with waiting for the elevator or an insane amount of stairs.
At the top there was one big empty room with a bunch of foldable tables and chairs stacked to one side, like some kind of multipurpose room for meetings or conventions, though it wasn't set up for anything at the moment, and probably never would be, we had to get off of the elevator here to go back to the staircase, as only it went all the way up to the roof, where there really wasn't much to see at all, aside from a few massive A/C units that didn't seem to actually do anything, which was fine as it was always a constant 70 degrees here. Looking over the side, you could see the massive concrete roof of the nearby parking garage, and several smaller surrounding buildings, and the giant monolithic glass sides of some even larger office buildings. If you looked down the street far enough to the west, you could even see where it suddenly ended in a vast, grassy plain, it was about a 2 inch drop from the edge of the road to the surface of the digital world, thankfully close enough that most vehicles could handle it. The sidewalks were a little higher, but not enough to be much to worry about if you watched where you were going.
DarkVioletmon wasn't there, but since we took the elevator we could have easily beaten her here, so we started heading down the stairs again until we ran into her between floors 13 and 14.
She stopped to give a look of complete confusion as to how I got there, but only for a brief moment, before continuing up the stairs.
"Move." She said softly as she couldn't get around us.
"What are you up to?" I asked.
"Where is BlackLillymon?" She asked.
"Phoebe's keeping her sedated, don't worry about that. Now what are you even doing in here? You've never even entered this building until today." I replied.
"I want to go to the top." She replied.
"Why now?" I asked.
"Because the view." She replied.
"Allright." I said as we let her through, not seeing what harm she could possibly cause up there.
"That's really all she wanted?" Saphy asked.
"I guess so, I mean I don't see what else she could want up there. She hangs out on top of the parking garage all the time, I guess she just likes being up there." I said.
"So I guess we just go back down." She said.
"Yep." I said.
"Unless you want to maybe do something?" Saphy asked awkwardly.
"Ok first off, you know you're gonna have to run it by Phoebe first, secondly last night wiped me out, so even then it'd still be a no. What's gotten into you, I thought you were more into Pheebles?" I said.
"That's what I meant, with Pheebles." Saphy replied.
" Um, no you didn't, and Pheebles isn't here and we're both wiped out so. We did all the newbies last night one by one and it was really dumb and we shouldn't have done it like that." I said.
"Really?" Saphy asked.
"Well, I was like, half asleep when we got to Chally, but yeah." I replied.
"Wow she's crazy." Saphy said.

"It doesn't sound like it ended well." Saphy replied.
"Well, it was also kind of stupid in addition to being crazy." I said.
"Like Kitty." Saphy said.
"No, not like Kitty, Phoebe messes up on occasion, but Kitty is on a whole other level, that and she would've fallen asleep before the second round." I said.
"Really?" Saphy asked.
"Actually, strike that, Kitty would never come up with an insane idea like that to begin with. She's never been into that and there's a decent chance she's giving Phoebe grief about it right now." I replied.
"And they're probably fighting." Saphy replied.
"Yeah, let's just hope that doesn't keep them from putting BlackLillymon out for a few more hours." I said.
"You want to go check on them?" Saphy asked.
"If they're not back in the lobby when we get there, might as well." I said.
They weren't there when we got there, so down into the basement we went.

"Why's Saphy here?" She asked a moment later.
"DarkVioletmon came into the hotel, so I needed her as backup so we could see what she was up to. She just wanted to go to the roof for some reason." I said.

"Why? There's nothing up there." Phoebe asked.
"I don't know. She just wanted too." I replied.
"Sounds like what you were doing last night was a lot like us on that ship. Remember, before we found Zari?" Kitty asked.
"Yeah, part of that." I said. "Whatever parts haven't all blurred together."
"I wish I was there." Phoebe said.
"Pheebles, it was so boring. We even ran out of new places to fuck and even the sex was getting boring." I said.

"Except the reactor room, and most of the bedrooms since they're all the same." I said.

"I don't know, probably not much." I said as we all began to head back up the stairs to the lobby.
Once we got there we saw a mechanorimon standing outside in front of the door, too big to enter.
"Why is it here now?" I asked.
"Maybe it wants to go up to the roof too?" Saphy suggested.
"Yeah, but they can fly, so, it must have something to say." I replied.
"Let's go see what it has to say, hopefully Zari is ok." Phoebe said.
"Where is Zari anyway?" I asked.
"She went to teach them how to fight more effectively." Saphy said.
"Oh like yesterday then." Phoebe said.
"Is it working?" I asked.
"I don't know, she didn't say." Saphy replied.
We popped outside for a bit to see what the mechanorimon wanted.
"AS OF APPROXIMATELY 2.85 MINUTES AGO, CONTACT WAS BEEN RESTABLISHED WITH 682, 458, AND 783. THEY ARE INBOUND." The mechanorimon said after everyone stared at it confused for a few seconds, expecting it to say something right away like a normal person.
"How long until they get here? " Phoebe asked.
"APPROXIMATELY 15834 SECONDS." The robotic digimon awkwardly replied.
"What?" I asked, a bit too late as the robotic digimon had already taken to the skies with a thunderous roar.
"About 4 and a half hours." Phoebe clarified after it got far enough away that the noise had faded.
"Well guess we better get everyone rounded up and ready to go then." I said as we all looked up and watched it fly away.
"Mostly just Henry and Claire." Phoebe said.
"Yeah, pretty much, where did they go today?" I asked.
"I don't know, we'll just have to walk around until I start hearing them." Phoebe said.
"Where did the newbies go?" Kitty asked, prompting Phoebe to close her eyes and space out for a moment to try to hear them.
"Phoebe?" Kitty asked after she didn't respond right away.
"Just let her do her thing." I replied.
"What thing? She's just standing there." Kitty said.
"Shhhhh, Kitty, I need to concentrate." Phoebe said, opening her eyes for a brief moment.
"On what? There's nothing here." Kitty said.
"QUIET! "Phoebe yelled.
"Ok ok, don't get all scary and purple-eyed." Kitty said.
"RRRRR." Phoebe started to get annoyed.
"Oh wait, I'm so sorry, I forgot." Kitty said, realizing what she had done.
"QUIET!" A very annoyed Phoebe yelled.
Kitty squeezed me for comfort, like I could do anything to make it better, so I just kissed her on the head more out of instinct than anything and held her for a bit and of course stayed quiet while Phoebe did her thing.
"Ok, I think they might be heading back to the amusement park, so, we shouldn't have to worry about them. I can also hear IceLeomon's wives, and he's probably out with them, and Zari is probably on that same street she was on yesterday. But I can't hear Henry or Claire so we'll actually have to look for them." Phoebe said after she got a decent reading.
"Can I talk now?" Kitty asked.
"No, you can't talk ever again, and please don't squish my husband." Phoebe said.
"But that's not fair." Kitty replied, as she held me just a bit looser, though she really wasn't holding me too tight to begin with.
"I don't care." Phoebe said.
"I'm going to go back to the pool." Saphy said before heading back inside, bored, and apparently having seen enough of this.
"Ok, bye Saphy." Phoebe said.
"Bye, see you two tonight?" She asked.
"Don't get your hopes up." Phoebe replied.
"Cj, she won't let me talk." Kitty said after Saphy left.
"You're talking right now." I said.
" Kitty, when I do that, you need to be quiet so I can concentrate, ok, I can't have any distractions." Phoebe said.
"Well tell me next time, before you do that." Kitty insisted.
"Ok, fine, I will, just be quiet next time and stop asking stupid questions." Phoebe replied.
"Ok." Kitty agreed, still clinging to me.
"Is that for all the time or just?" Kitty asked.
"Just try your best." Phoebe replied.
"Awe, I'm so proud of you two for working that out on your own." I said, half-jokingly as I pulled Phoebe close and hugged them both.
"Yeah, well." Phoebe said, trying to think of something more to say.
"Love you girls." I said as I continued to embrace them.
"Love you." They said almost simultaneously.
"Ok, let's go tell everyone we're going to be moving out in a few hours." I said after we hugged it out enough..
"Yeah why don't we see what Zari is up too first?" Phoebe suggested. "Make sure Ninjamon isn't giving her a hard time."
"Allright let's go!" I said.
"Can I come too?" Kitty asked.
"No you have to stay here." Phoebe replied.
"Why?" Kitty asked.
"You can come with us Kitty, don't listen to her." I said.
"Ok, but she doesn't want me to go." Kitty replied.
"You can come with us, don't worry about it." Phoebe said.
"But you said." Kitty replied.
"Yeah, I know, I was joking, you silly girl." Phoebe said.
"Ohh, ok then." Kitty replied+
"Yeah, let's go." Phoebe said.
"I don't think it's very funny though, when you say things like that." Kitty said.
"Well, if you ask stupid questions you get stupid answers." Phoebe said.
'Huh?" Kitty asked.
"Of course you can come with us, you think we'd just force you to stay here for no reason?" Phoebe asked.
"If Cj can't talk you out of it." Kitty said.
"Oh, you think that's how it is?" Phoebe asked.
"Kind of." Kitty said.
"You know Kitty, as our virara, I trust you more with Cj than anybody else, sister I don't want to leave you behind. Cj needs both of us to be happy so I need you too." Phoebe said.
"It's more like I owe you both more than I can ever afford and I can't leave either of you." I said.
"Exactly." Phoebe said.
"Pheebles those aren't even remotely similar." I said.
"You would hate yourself for leaving either of us so you have to love both of us." Phoebe said.
"Yeah, but we love you too." Kitty said in a playful tone as she hugged me.
"Mhm." Phoebe said as she joined in.
As planned, we went over to see Zari first, Ninjamon happened to still be there as well, surprisingly not bothering her, but taking her instructioning of hand to hand combat principals very seriously, as if he were part of the class along with the three mechanorimon she was working with.
That said, she had a talent for instructing. Whether the mechanorimon were good at learning was another question.
Then we informed the newbies who were hanging around the amusement park again. Kiera had apparently given up on working with the mechanorimon, atleast for now. They were playing a form of soccer with the bumper cars and some of the giant beach balls they took from the various game stalls. Said balls were flexible to an extent, like a normal beachball, but also indestructible, so when sandwiched between two bumper cars, the physics of the whole thing became very interesting, as the balls could be shot out at ridiculous speeds, though they were still lightweight, soft, relatively harmless, and lost that speed very quickly. Kitty and I stayed and played a few rounds while Phoebe took one of the mechanorimon and began to search the city from the air, though the machine digimon was so loud when flying that she couldn't concentrate so she had to land quite a bit just so it could be quiet enough for her to use her powers.
"I swear, it's amazing these things can't use all the noise they make as a weapon." Phoebe said to me after returning to the park, after searching for Henry and Claire for an hour without anything to show for it.
"Tell that to Kiera." I said.
"I tried that already, it don't think it will work, they're loud, but not that loud, but I guess if we need to they can make a lot of noise as a distraction. We'll just have to see what Zari comes up with." Kiera said as the others gathered around.
"Well, I'm done, I don't know where they are, I checked all the biggest buildings and all four corners of this place." Phoebe replied.
"Ok, so we know they aren't there." I replied.
"Yeah, but there's still so many other places." Phoebe said.
"Yeah, well there's still some time, maybe they'll come back to the hotel by then." I said.
"Hopefully." Phoebe replied.
"They never said anything to us, so I don't know where they went." Illustria said.
"Yeah, they just said they were going to do some exploring, waved goodbye and walked out." Selenia agreed.
"Can I scan your memories to make sure?" Phoebe asked politely.
"Um, no." Illustria said.
"Just the stuff about this morning? I can already hear most of it anyway. But I can see things even if you don't consciously remember them." Phoebe said.
"Cj is that a good idea?" Illustria asked.
"If she wanted to get anything on you she wouldn't have bothered asking to begin with." I replied.
"Right." Phoebe replied.
"Ok then." Illustria said.
"Thank you, now Kitty be quiet for a moment." Phoebe said before closing her eyes.
"Oh you're doing this again." Kitty said.
"Yeah, so shhh ." Phoebe said.
"Right." Kitty replied.
"So how long does this take?" Illustria asked a few seconds later.
"Just be quiet everyone, and think about this morning and it won't take as long." Phoebe said.
"Ok." Illustria replied.
"Cj, if you could step away for a bit." Phoebe said.
"Ok." I replied and complied.
A few seconds of silence passed as we all just stood there.
"Yeah, they really didn't say anything about where they're going." Phoebe said after opening her eyes again.
"Well we're just going to have to hope they turn up before the goddesses do then." I said.
"Yeah, they should come back to the hotel eventually." Phoebe added.
"So what do you want to do until then?" Illustria asked.
"I don't know." Phoebe replied.
"You want to play this game with us?" I asked.
"Yeah you should play, it's kind of fun." Kitty chimed in.
"Ok, I'll play for a little bit, I guess. How do I play?" Phoebe asked.
"It's basically you try to put the ball between those two empty bumper cars over there, using just a bumper car.
"So I guess she's on your team then?" Illustria asked.
"What are the teams ? Cj and Kitty against the rest of you?" Phoebe asked.
"No, Cj, Kitty, and, well Chally is on their team too." Illustria said.
"Yeah, you can't forget Chally Pheebles." I said as we hi-fived.
"No I can't, I just didn't know who would be the third wheel." Phoebe said.
"Fourth wheel now, I guess." Challana said.
"Right, unless I decide to play for the other team!" Phoebe said, mischievously.
"Why would you do that?" I asked.
"Because it's fun to play against you sometimes." Phoebe said.
"What if it's just us against all the newbies?" I asked.
"But if we do that then we can make it interesting." Phoebe said.
"How?" I asked.
"Loser has to play, naked." Phoebe said.
"Winner gets to be with Cj tonight." Kitty said.
"What?" I asked.
"I like the way you think, but I'm not going to agree to that, my Cj" Phoebe said as she hugged me.
"You're just afraid that I'll beat you." Kitty said.
"That's not true." Phoebe replied.
"But that means I can't play." I said.
"How about first round loser has to play naked, second round winner gets Cj tonight, loser gets him right here." Illustria said.
"Lussy no, I just told Kitty, we're not playing for that, he's my husband, I get him tonight, and besides, he's tired from last night and he really doesn't want this right now." Phoebe insisted.
"Thankyou Pheebles." I said.
"Maybe some other time." Phoebe continued.
"Eh, maybe." I replied.
"When are we ever going to get another chance to do this though?" Illustria asked.
"True, we're not going to come across very many empty amusement parks with weird physics." I said.
"Really you dummies? We'll just play a different game when we're ready, it's not that important, and what do you mean weird physics?" Phoebe said.
"Well, because both the balls and the bumper cars are indestructible, if you hit them right the balls can fly out at a ridiculously high speed, where a regular ball would probably just pop. It's just something we discovered shortly after trying this and it's both hilarious and really weird." I said.
"That sounds dangerous." Phoebe said.
"Not really, it's still just a beach ball." I said.
"Yeah we've played a few rounds already and nobody has gotten hurt so far." Kiera said.
"Well ok then, it should probably be allright." Phoebe said.
"I can't even pop the balls if I try sister, it's weird." Kitty chimed in.
"Yeah the balls are Kitty proof too." I said.
"Well that's good, I guess." Phoebe replied.
"Hell yeah it is, that means she can play without worrying about accidently popping them." I said.
"But she can't drive in that form." Phoebe pointed out.
" That's true." Kitty replied, clearly in her Lilithmon form.
"I just wish these clothes were more comfortable." Kitty said.
"You know we could get some different clothes for you. You're almost human, it should be easier to find clothes for you than me even." Phoebe said.
"I know, but then I'd have to change into them every single time and when I go back to my other form I'll be naked." Kitty said.
"Well you know you could do that when you're alone in the bus or in your room." Phoebe said.
"Yeah, but sometimes when I get too tired I can't control when I turn back into my other form."
"But that only happens when you've been fighting or hurt hasn't it?" Phoebe asked.
"Well, yeah, but." Kitty struggled to defend herself.
"I've told her this a lot of times Pheebles, and she never buys any other clothes for herself. The only other clothes she has is that bikini I made her wear that one time remember?" I said.
"What about that coat we got her when we went to Chally's planet?" Phoebe said.
"Yeah, that too." I said.
"And that dress I helped her pick out for her other form?" Phoebe said.
"Yeah, that's still not much though." I said.
She also had a lot of rings, bracelets and all manner of ring shaped jewelry, except she doesn't wear ear rings or any other kind of piercing because, it's just not practical for a digimon because it heals every time they change form. I don't even know how many she has exactly, but a lot of them, mostly just gold ones and a few with rubies, some real, some glass, she doesn't really care oddly enough she just likes the way they look. There was probably a good twenty or thirty pounds of them just sitting in a suitcase on the bus's cargo rack, as they weren't digital and couldn't be stored in the digivice. Thankfully she was smart enough not to wear them here as she knew she may have to digivolve at any moment now.
"Well Kitty, if we ever find a clothing store I'm taking you shopping and we're getting you a full wardrobe." Phoebe said.
"I swear I saw some a few days ago in this city." Illustria said.
"Yeah, but they don't have much of a selection." Phoebe said.
"Huh?" Kitty asked.
"You don't remember when I put you in that hilariously ugly dress?" Phoebe asked.
"No, not really." Kitty said.
"Oh well, nevermind." Phoebe replied.
"I don't even remember that." I said.
"Well from our perspective it was a really long time ago. So that's understandable." Phoebe said.
"You're not going to put me in another one are you?" Kitty asked.
"No, sister, we're done with that." Phoebe replied." Besides it made Cj really mad."
"Yeah, I can see that happening." I replied.
"You were livid." Phoebe said.
"And that was before I loved her." I said.
"No it wasn't you had a huge crush on her back then too." Phoebe replied.
"Yeah and whose fault is that again?" I asked.
"Mine." Phoebe said with a sigh as she looked down in defeat.
"So what made the dress so ugly?" Kiera asked.
"I'd rather not say anymore if you don't mind. It wasn't one of my best moments." Phoebe said.
"Oh come on." Kiera said.
"Enough, I don'r want to talk about it anymore especially if they don't even remember it because I don't want to remind them." Phoebe said.
"Why don't we just start playing already? Just for fun, no stakes, nobody has to get naked." Illustria asked.
"Yeah let's get going, I'm going to go pick a car." Phoebe said as she headed for an empty green one that was still sitting at the station, prompting everyone else to return to their cars that were parked haphazardly around the rink along with four empty cars that we were using as goal markers that were appropriately parked at opposite ends of the rink. Phoebe joined us moments later and then she decided to play for the newbies team against Kitty and I, as well as Chally, but only for a few rounds before she switched sides, apparently trying to keep some sort of balance as there was an odd number of players, though this didn't seem to be too consequential.
Eventually a couple hours passed by and it was time for us to return to the hotel, hoping Henry and Claire would return before the goddesses. Phoebe told the mechanorimon to go back to the parking garage, which it did easily enough, and then we all walked back to the hotel together with the newbies.
"So before we all met you girls, you ever fall in love with anyone before?" Phoebe asked on the way back, out of boredom.
"Yeah, kind of. His name was Rigel, I had a crush on him for the longest time, but before it could amount to anything, the emperor was killed, my grandfather was killed, a lot of people were killed and my entire family was marked for death so we had to get out of there, I guess I'll never know if even made it out or not. His family would've been targeted too, for sure." Illustria said.
"You didn't think we could've done anything about it while we were in that universe?" I asked.
"I didn't want to go back, I was too afraid to find out what happened to everyone." Illustria said.
"Well it's too late now." Phoebe said.
"Yeah, I know." Illustria replied.
"I've had a lot of crushes, but, they never went anywhere. I was kind of afraid of what my dad would do to them." Selenia said.
"I was supposed to be married once, but it kind of fell through." Chally said.
"Really?" I asked.
"Well I didn't have a crush on him, but, we were supposed to be married." Chally said.
"Like it was arranged?" Phoebe asked.
"Yeah." Chally replied. "But getting abducted by slavers kind of ruined that."
"Man, fucking slavers." I said.
Enemies of the U.S.C, Zelusians and a whole lot of people, generally the worst of the worst, even among other pirates. These guys have no morale code whatsoever and will literally sell their own mothers and children if they were paid enough. They typically target planets that are advanced enough to understand computer technology, but primitive enough to not yet have the ability to travel through space, they go to these planets, abduct a bunch of people seemingly at random, and ship them off to equally shady factories typically owned by corporations not affiliated with either the Zelusians or the U.S.C, usually in pirate space but sometimes they can sneak into others, where they typically work the rest of their lives in abhorrent conditions.
"Yeah well, when I was free again, I realized I didn't want to go back either." Challana said. "After realizing the universe was so much bigger than I'd ever imagined.
"I stole one of their ships." Phoebe said.
"We ran into some on a supply run once, they thought we were a capital ship, so they got really paranoid and contacted us and held their victims hostage for safe passage and threatened to eject them into space if we moved any closer to them. So we contacted the higher ups, and they sent us this negotiator guy, and he talked them into surrendering their entire catch, or whatever it would be called, in exchange for safe passage, only for the U.S.C to send the same task group we were supposed to be supplying in to apprehend them once all the victims were safe aboard our ship. " I said.
"It must have been their first run or something." Phoebe said.
"Yep, and it was also their last cause they got busted, big time." I replied.
"There was a breakout, they only had me for a couple days before we escaped and took over the ship, but then we didn't even know where we were, and we just kind of drifted for a couple days, then a U.S.C ship came upon us and kept asking us to identify ourselves, so we did, and they eventually boarded us. They took us in, explained a lot of things, gave us all translators so we could speak the same language, then they dropped us off at one of their stations. And we all kind of just went our separate ways from there. As you know I eventually found where my planet was, but I had no reason to go back until I met you guys." Chally replied.
"Well we were lucky we met you, otherwise we never would have found IceLeomon again." Phoebe said.
"You know, Henry, Claire, and Zari were supposed to have digimon too, but we never found them, and IceLeomon found his wives, so, I don't think anyone saw that coming." I said.
"How come Kitty never found anyone?" Phoebe asked.
"Because nobody would marry me cause I couldn't get pregnant." Kitty said.
"IceLeomon can't get anyone pregnant and he's married." Phoebe said. "I think you were holding out for Cj."
"Sometimes I think that too." I said.
"Maybe a little." Kitty said.
"How many breakups did you go through again?" I asked.
"I don't remember." Kitty said.
"It's ok if you admit it you know, I'm not mad. " Phoebe said.
"No." Kitty replied.
"Ok fine. I don't blame you though, I love him too." Phoebe said, letting it go.
"Did you ever find out who the other digimon were supposed to be?" Illustria asked.
"Nope, Ophanimon's entire plan went completely haywire." I replied.
"I wonder if there were going to be more cuties." Phoebe said. "I hope they're ok."
"I think we have more than enough cuties for now Pheebles." I said.
"Probably." Phoebe replied.
" So what about ninjamon?" Illustria asked.
"Ew no.." Phoebe said.
"I mean is he supposed to be somebodies partner?" Illustria asked.
"We were hoping he would find a partner by now but he spends more time with IceLeomon than anyone else, either that or he's pestering one of you or Zari." I said.
"Or Saphy." Phoebe added.
"Yeah, he has a thing for Saphy and Saphy has a thing for Pheebles." I said.
"Actually I think she's gravitating more towards you now because she thinks I'm crazy." Phoebe said.
"Baby girl, you are crazy." I said.
"Well even so, I don't want you to ever be alone with her ever." Phoebe said.
"So I can be alone with anyone else?" I asked.
"Who do you want to be alone with?" Phoebe asked.
"He really likes Zari too." Kitty said.
"Yeah and Chally for some reason." Phoebe said.
"Really Pheebles when she's right here?" I said as an embarrassed Chally looked away.
"I think it might be because we're all on the bus together so often." Phoebe said, ignoring me.
"I don't know, maybe." Kitty replied.
"Hey Cj?" Phoebe asked.
"What?" I replied.
"You know it's fine if you ever want a night alone with them, I'll just spend one alone with Lussy or Celli, or Saphy even if she's willing." Phoebe said.
"Just remember I love you more than anything in all of existence aside from our children." Phoebe said before kissing me.
"Well now I just want you, you adorable little weirdo." I said.
"Good,because I'm all yours tonight." Phoebe replied.
"If he really likes me that much he didn't really show it last night." Chally said after regaining her composure.
"Well he was tired. I know I said this already, but last night was kind of a mistake." Phoebe said. "But you ride with us on the bus, so we'll make up for it don't worry, just be patient."
"I think you should make up for it, it was your idea." I said.
"Mhmmm." Kitty agreed with me.
"Well believe it or not she wants you, you big dummy." Phoebe said.
"Yeah." Chally agreed with her.
"Well I already got you and Kitty so too bad." I replied.
"No, Cj, we need to make this right." Phoebe insisted.
"No you need to make this right." I said.
"If it were you I'd help you." Phoebe said.
"Define help." I said.
"Probably getting more girls to sleep with you." Kitty chimed in.
"Probably." I agreed.
"No, help is what a really good husband does for his wife when she can't quite deliver on her promises to others." Phoebe said.
"I think I'm helping you more by not doing this." I said.
"You know he has a point Pheebles, you need to calm down a bit." Selenia said.
"Eh . . . . . . maybe, sorry Chally I tried." Phoebe said, apparently deciding to let it go.
"It's allright, I can wait." Chally replied.
"Unlike a certain, um, whatever you are again." Kitty said.
"She's a gardevoir, Kitty Kat." I replied.
"Right, I just didn't want to say it wrong." Kitty said.
"But you wanted to say I'm impatient." Phoebe said.
"Well you are, kind of." I said.
"No, I wanted to say unlike a certain garde-whatever." Kitty replied.
"Allright that's enough you two." I said, not wanting their argument to escalate further.
"Well, I guess I am kind of pushy sometimes." Phoebe said, despite the rough morning she seemed to be in a good mood today.
"Yeah sometimes." I said.
"I guess it's not really that big of a deal." Phoebe said.
"It's not, really." Challana agreed.
And so with Phoebe willing to keep the peace, we eventually we made it back to the hotel, in peace. Zari was talking with Saphy and one of Iceleomon's wives in the lobby and IceLeomon was sparring with Ninjamon outside the front door, again, while his other wife watched, one of the few times I've ever seen them apart. The newbies went upstairs to gather their things, while Phoebe, Kitty, and I stayed in the lobby and took and empty booth.
"I wonder why Elly is inside on her own." Kitty said as we broke away from the newbies and sat at one of the tables..
" Huh?" I asked.
"You still don't remember their names?" Kitty asked.
"Oh yeah I just, they don't come up much you know?" I said.
"They're so cute when they're together why are they apart now?" Phoebe asked.
"Pheebles, they're married to IceLeomon." I said.
" Yeah, well I'm married to you and you still think I'm cute." Phoebe said.
"And I'm your vir - whatever." Kitty said.
"Yeah you're both very cute, but that's not the point. The point is Pheebles you have to respect their relationship." I said.
"I know that, but I still think they're cute." Phoebe said.
"Well I just wanted to make sure." I said.
"Yeah I know." Phoebe replied.
"And you're not the only one that thinks I'm cute either." Phoebe said.
"Yeah I know." I said.
"Where's Henry and Claire?" Phoebe asked.
"I still have no idea." I replied.
"I know, I just, I hope the goddesses will understand we might have to wait for them to come back. I don't know what to do, there's just too many places to look." Phoebe said.
"They'll probably understand, they've been pretty reasonable so far." I replied.
"So are we just going to sit around and wait for them to come?" Kitty asked.
"Well what else are we going to do?" Phoebe asked.
"You want to go swimming?" I asked.
"NO!" Kitty objected.
"Saphy is out here, so we can have the whole pool to ourselves." I said, knowing her reaction would be cute.
"NO! NO! NO! I'm not going anywhere near that thing." Kitty cutely continued to object.
"You want to go up to the room and snuggle for a bit?" I asked.
"Ok." Kitty replied.
"No, wait, I want to see if Henry and Claire show up in time. We can all snuggle later on the bus." Phoebe said.
"Hi guys." Saphy greeted us as she approached our table.
"Are you here to take our order?" I joked.
"No." Saphy replied.
"Hi Saphy, watcha talking to Zari about?" Phoebe asked.
"Just the mechanorimon and stuff, you weren't listening in?" Saphy asked.
"No, that would be so rude." Phoebe said.
"Yeah, but I just never know with you." Saphy said.
"Well you're on her good side, so you shouldn't worry about it." I said.
"Yeah I only do that to strangers and people that get on my nerves." Phoebe agreed.
"Yes even you sometimes Cj." She said about a second or so later.
The sound of the front door bells jingling interrupted our conversation as Henry walked in, with Claire trailing behind.
"Arceus, they made it." Phoebe said to us.
"Where did you guys go?" Phoebe asked them before they could make their way to the stairs.
"Where'd you go? We haven't seen you all day." Claire said.
"I know, that's why I asked you, I went looking for you with the mechanorimon, I couldn't find you. It was too loud, I couldn't concentrate." Phoebe said.
"You know where the tallest building is? We were checking out this bank a few blocks to the west. We didn't see you." Henry said.
"I went up to the top of it and I didn't see you." Phoebe said.
"Find anything in the bank?" I asked.
"There's lots of gold bars but they're behind a locked gate. The vault was closed and I doubt we'll ever know if it can be opened or not." Henry said.
"I could go there and try to open it." Phoebe said.
"I doubt its real gold." I replied.
Even so, nothing in this world could be bought with gold anyway so for it to be of any value we'd have to hold onto it until after we defeated Deusmon and made it to the next.
"How do you know Cj?" Phoebe asked.
"Well it's probably made of data like everything else here, so who knows if it's actually worth anything or not." I said.
"That means it can be stored in your digivices though, so it's not going to take up any space." Saphy pointed out.
"Yeah it should be able to fit inside." Kitty chimed in.
"I mean we could try it, it might be useful in a world where it has its normal value." I said.
"Right." Phoebe agreed.
"If they can't tell the difference." I said.
"I don't see how they would be able too Cj, as long as it's a normal world, not a space-faring one. Anyway we can't do that right now we have to wait for the goddesses to get back." Phoebe replied.
"We've been waiting all week." Henry pointed out.
"I know, but earlier today a mechanorimon came by and told us that the other mechanorimon that they took were now in range, and they were about 4 hours away, and that was about 3 hours ago. I was going to tell you both, but we couldn't find you." Phoebe said.
"So we should start getting packed up then?" Henry asked.
"Yeah, if you really have that much to pack." Phoebe replied.
"Not much, but we should still get ready to get out of here." Henry said.
"Right, we've had a long enough break already." Phoebe replied.
"So you think DarkVioletmon is still on the roof?" I asked.
"I have no idea." Phoebe replied.
"Why is she on the roof?" Henry asked.
"I still have no idea." Phoebe said.
"She came in here this morning, and we followed her up the stairs, she hasn't come in here all week as far as anyone's seen, so it was kind of strange that she just suddenly decided to do so." Saphy explained.
"Did she say anything?" Henry asked.
"Only that she wanted to go to the roof, and it's amazing we actually got her to say that." I said.
"Should we tell her we're going to be leaving soon?" Phoebe asked.
"You want to just pop up there and tell her?" I asked.
"Yeah sure." Phoebe said before getting up and heading outside.
"You trust her to be alone with her?" Kitty asked.
"Eh, what could happen? She'll be lucky if she even gets her to acknowledge that she's up there." I said.
"Do we trust her though?" Henry asked.
"You mean Darkvioletmon? Well she's spent most of the week in the parking garage doing next to nothing, I mean yeah, she's not normal, but she hasn't turned violent or attacked anyone. Not even Ninjamon could disturb her enough. And he's pretty much been bugging all these girls all week." I said.
"Yeah the guy really needs to learn when to shut up." Saphy agreed.
"Has he ever touched anyone?" Henry asked.
"Not that I've heard, he's just really annoying." I said.
"Yeah, thankfully." Saphy said.
"He ever does that though we'll kick his ass out." I said as Phoebe came back in.
"Ok I told her, she nodded at me so I think she understood. I wish I could read her mind it would make this so much easier." Phoebe said.
"How do anyone of you live like that it's so uncomfortable." Phoebe said.
"You mean not being able to read minds?" I said.
"Yeah." Phoebe replied.
"You talk things out and you just accept that people keep secrets sometimes." Henry said.
"Right." Claire agreed.
"Like how I accept you're going to keep secrets just because you're you." I said.
"But I don't have any secrets you don't know about right now." Phoebe said.
"Eh well." I said.
"I'm done keeping secrets from you, you know that." Phoebe said.
"Do I really?" I asked.
"Yes, you do, stop being silly." Phoebe said,
"I guess at the end of the day I trust you." I said.
"Well you better." Phoebe replied.
"I guess it's a little late not too." I said.
"Exactly, so stop being silly." Phoebe said.
"Am I really being that silly though? "
"Oh Arceus cut it out, seriously." Phoebe said.
"Oh Pheebles, you know I love you baby girl." I said.
"I know, I love you too even though you're a total goofball and now it's very clear where our son gets it from." Phoebe said.
"Sometimes you're a goofball too." Kitty said.
"You're both goofballs for taking over this conversation like that." Claire said.
"Well atleast we're goofballs in love." Phoebe said.
"Then what does that make Kitty?" Henry asked.
"She's our Virara now, it's complicated." Phoebe replied.
"What does that even mean?" Claire asked.
"I've heard of it before. It's like she's their legally designated mistress, it's part of the customs of just a handful of planets who worship "The Great Qan Lee" who supposedly united them thousands of years ago." Henry said.
" Well, really, she's more Cj's than mine. I didn't want to make him choose between us, I couldn't do that to her they've been together so long and Cj didn't even marry her because he was still waiting for me." Phoebe said.
"Nah, I get it, it's just, kind of an interesting use of the term." Henry said.
"I know, but, it's the best I could come up with, after I realized it was going to take a few years for us to find eachother again, I knew there was always I chance he'd try to move on with someone else, I didn't know it would be Kitty, but in the end, I'm actually kind of glad it's her and from what I've heard Ronnie was nice too, but we didn't find each other in time. Anyway, while looking for him I eventually came across one of those planets and that's when I got the idea." Phoebe said.
"You know Pheebles, Aranea really wanted to meet you, I told her a lot of stories." I said.
"Yeah you remember she had a little too much that one night and just kept telling you to find her over and over again?" Kitty asked.
"Yeah, that was not one of her best moments Kitty." I said.
"Sorry." Kitty replied.
"So if Kitty is my sister I guess she's my sister too, that I never got to meet." Phoebe said.
"Yeah!" Kitty excitedly agreed.
"I have no problems with you seeing it that way." I replied.
"Good because she's my sister now and nothing will ever change that." Phoebe said.
"Allright then just don't call her Ronnie to her face, she hated that." I said.
"Really?" Phoebe asked.
"Yeah, that's why I always referred to our daughter as kid, while in her presence atleast, because for the love of god I could never learn to say her name properly." I replied.
"Hmm, ok." Phoebe replied. "Weird, like, you never tried to learn it?"
"No, I did, but somehow I got it wrong everytime, and, you know might have just been messing with me, I don't know." I said.
"Yeah I've seen her completely flip out before because of that, it's actually kind of scary. But then she could be really sweet too, especially towards Cj." Kitty said.
"Yeah there were a few things that would really set her off, that she was oddly particular about, such as how she was addressed, but other than that, she was pretty sweet. " I said.
"Can you tell me more about her?" Phoebe asked.
"Of course, anything you want to know in particular?" I asked.
"When we're alone tonight, I mean." Phoebe said.
"Oh, ok then. Yeah of course Pheebles." I replied.
"Allright then now we just have to wait for the goddesses." I said after a few more seconds passed without anyone saying anything.
"Mhm." Phoebe replied.
"So they should arrive at any time right?" Henry asked.
"Yeah it's getting pretty close, another 30 minutes maybe. Go pack up if you need too, we'll stay down here and wait for them." Phoebe said.
"I think we'll just get our bags down here, we don't really have that much stuff, it won't take long." Henry said.
"We don't have much with us either, just our pokémon and whatever is in the digivice." Phoebe said.
"We have a pirate era cannon." I said, half-jokingly.
"Yeah, we have that, for some reason." Phoebe replied.
"Just cause we can." I said.
"Yeah." Phoebe agreed.
Aside from just showing off the magic of the digivice, there really wasn't a very practical use for it. It made a cool lawn decoration and that was about it. By the time you could get it out of the digivice, move it to a useful position, which was like moving a wheelbarrow full of bricks, load it and then fire it, you'd be dead a thousand times over, aside from being indestructible, it didn't even have any of the anomalous properties most weapons of this world have either, such as infinite ammo, or interesting secondary attacks.
"Have you ever taken it out and fired it?" Henry asked.
"Ok so there's a holiday on Paloran that, know, a lot of planets have at different times of the year to celebrate the anniversary of their colonization, I thought about, you know maybe, shooting fireworks out of it once, but it turned out to be ridiculously expensive to get custom made fireworks for it so, yeah. There were a few years I brought it out and just set it on the front lawn as a decoration, but other than that, I never actually found a place where they would let me fire the thing."
A surprising amount of people didn't even recognize it as a weapon, in fact, it was most commonly mistaken for a kerosene jet heater, of all things, it was either that or perhaps more bizarrely, some kind of light fixture, like a spotlight at a 1930s movie theatre, leading to many, many, many, many explanatory lectures.
"Seems like kind of a waste." Henry replied.
"Well it's just too obsolete to be of any use you know? It belongs in the age of sail, not the age of space colonization, but it fits in the digivice so it doesn't take any extra effort to carry around." I said.
"Does it have a limit on space though?" Claire asked.
"None that I've seen so far." I said.
"Me neither, but it can only hold things from here, anything from any other world won't go in." Phoebe added.
"What about another digital world?" I asked.
"That might work, who knows?" Phoebe replied.
"I don't remember hearing anything about there being a limit. Then again, Ophanimon messaged us and the other chosen a really long time ago, so I might not even remember." Saphy said.
"Yeah, well if it does have a limit it's still pretty high." Phoebe said.
"Well, I guess we'll see you in a bit." Henry said after it seemed that everyone had run out of things to say.
"Yeah, see ya." Claire added as they both headed for the stairs.
:"Allright now we just have to keep waiting." Phoebe said.
"Can I snuggle with Cj?" Kitty asked.
"I think we both should." Phoebe said.
"But you want to stay here." Kitty said.
"Yeah, I think we can all squeeze onto that bench though, if both of you can get up and let me in." Phoebe said.
"But you'll get smooshed." Kitty said.
"No Cj will get smooshed, that's the point." Phoebe replied.
"Oh ok." Kitty replied.
"Why do you both want to smoosh me?" I asked as I got up and moved so Phoebe could get in anyway.
"Because we love you." Phoebe said.
"Yeah." Kitty agreed.
So Phoebe scooted next to the wall and we sat back down and they both tried to squish me as much as they possibly could without actually hurting me, while Saphy awkwardly watched.
"I swear they work best together when they're both trying to embarrass me." I said.
"Yeah it seems like it sometimes." Saphy said with a laugh. As they both began to playfully kiss my cheeks.
"I can easily embarrass you more Cj." Phoebe said.
"Yeah we don't need you to do that." I said.
"Do it." Saphy said.
"No, Saphy, what the hell?" I asked.
"Nah, this is fun enough." Phoebe said.
"Is this one of those times where you three might want to consider getting a room?" Zari asked as she came over to us with Ellie trudging behind her.
"No we're just playing around, besides we already have rooms, we're just waiting around here right now." Phoebe said.
Just then all four of the newbies descended the stairs, one after the other.
What's going on over here?" Illustria asked.
"Not much, still waiting on the goddesses." I said.
"Queen Elishen?" Chally said to Ellie.
"Thanks for being polite, but you don't have to call us that anymore." She replied.
"Are you fighting with your sister again?" Chally asked. "Is that why you're apart?"
"No, it's nothing like that, I just got bored watching them fight and I wanted to come inside where I think it's just a bit cooler." Ellie replied.
"I think so too." Chally said, apparently thrilled to be having such a conversation with someone she considered to be royalty.
"Hey Zari you should sit here too and help us squish Cj." Phoebe said.
"Eh, it looks pretty full enough already with the three of you." Zari said.
"Nonsense I'm sure you can fit if you try." Phoebe said.
"Or how about this?" I can sit on Cj's lap, and then both you and Saphy can fit in here." Phoebe said as she forced her way onto my lap.
"Now Cj be a good boy and scoot next to the wall." She said.
"With you on top of me?" I asked.
"Mhm." Phoebe replied.
"What if I don't want too?" I asked.
"Kitty, push him." Phoebe said.
"No." Kitty refused.
"Oh come on." Phoebe replied.
"I don't want to accidently hurt him." Kitty said.
"Oh come on, you don't have to use your full strength." Phoebe said.
"No." Kitty refused.
"Please sister." Phoebe cutely asked.
"You push him." Kitty said.
"I can't he's too big." Phoebe replied.
"Use your powers." Kitty said.
"Well, then I could hurt him." Phoebe replied.
"If you had to pick just one." Zari said.
"I'm in this situation because I couldn't." I cut her off before she could finish.
"Cj please move." Phoebe begged.
"No! I'm not going to let you squish me" I said, in disbelief.
"Ima squish you." I said, playfully, as I wrapped my arms around her stomach and gave her a squeeze.
"No, sister help!" Phoebe said, playfully.
"You're the one that sat on his lap." Kitty replied, cheekily.
"You know for all her power she's kind of helpless if she can't concentrate." I said.
"Well we're just playing around aren't we? I'm not even trying to use my powers." Phoebe said.
"Yeah, we kind of are." I said.
"I'm going to lick you ears." I whispered to her.
"Don't you dare! Naughty Cj." She said as she started to pull away from me.
"What did he even say?" Zari asked.
"I'm not telling, I don't want you to know." Phoebe said.
"Well it's pretty simple really, you see." I began to explain.
"NO, you be quiet, you're going too far." Phoebe said, embarrassed and insanely cute.
"Really it's that personal?" Zari asked.
"Yes." Phoebe replied.
"Ok fine I won't tell." I said.
"Thankyou." Phoebe replied.
"Now can you get off of me?" I asked.
"No." She replied.
"Pheebles." I scolded.
"I'm comfortable." She said.
"I'm not a chair Pheebles." I said.
"Well you are now." She playfully replied.
"And you're a comfortable one too." She added a few seconds later.
"So who's driving first when the goddesses get back?" Zari asked.
"You or Saphy, I need more snuggle time with Cj." Phoebe said.
"Chally could learn." I said.
"Yeah, maybe someday." Phoebe replied
"You want to flip a coin for it?" Zari asked Saphy.
"Sure." Saphy replied.
"Anybody have a coin?" Zari asked.
"I have some rings." Kitty said.
"Yeah, those won't work, they aren't coins." Zari replied.
"They're both round." Kitty said.
"Yeah, but, they won't work, just trust me." Zari said.
"Go upstairs and ask Henry and Claire, they just got back from exploring a bank, maybe they picked up a few." I said.
"You're saying they might have taken some from a bank?" Zari asked.
"Well is it really a bank though if nobody owns it and nobody is running it?" I asked.
"Yeah, good point." Zari said.
"They said they couldn't get into the vault though." Phoebe said.
"Yeah, but there might have been some cash behind the counters or something." I said.
"I'll drive first it's no big deal." Saphy said.
"Ok then." Zari replied.
The goddesses arrived about twenty minutes later, roughly within the time the mechanorimon estimated, by that time everyone had been waiting long enough and was ready to leave.
