-chapter 77, fortifications-

-Sometime the next morning, an unknown amount of hours later.-

"There you are, I saw you weren't on the top floor anymore, I wondered where you all went. Also Kazemon get dressed your shift starts in two hours. I'll give you all time to sort this out on your own I gotta go look for other stragglers." Bacchusmon said.

I woke up, saw Kitty on my left side back in her persiamon form, and Phoebe on my right, both naked. Sat up, realized I was naked, saw Saphy on Phoebe's other side, naked, Zari behind me with Phoebe using her boobs as a pillow, naked, Venusmon was about halfway up my legs, naked. Dianamon was on Kitty's other side. Naked. Realized this bed was freaking huge. This was a room intended for larger digimon. At this point everyone was starting to wake up and generally making the same observations.

"Cj how did this happen?" Phoebe asked.

"Um I remember leaving the top floor, I think venusmon led us down here." I said.

"Yeah." Venusmon replied.

"You'll remember within the hour. Nnngh I forgot about the headaches." Dianamon said.

"My head hurts too." Phoebe said.

"People tend to black out when the drinks wear off. I can't fix it, it has to do with it's ability to alter perception. All I can say is it looks like you had one hell of a party. They can get pretty crazy on the third floor, but" Bachusmon explained.

"We all came down here and had a lot of fun, you guys are great. If you need help remembering stuff I didn't drink any." Kazemon said.

"When did you get here?" Phoebe asked.

"I came up to see if you needed more drinks lke bacchusmon told me too, and saw you all having fun and you invited me to join so I did." Kazemon said.

"Yeah, that sounds like Pheebles." I said.

"Does anyone know where Mervamon went?" Dianamon asked.

"You left her on the top floor." Kazemon said.

"What about Challey? Where's Challey?" Phoebe asked.

"She left before I headed up to see you. She told me to tell you she went back to the hotel." Kazemon said.

"Ok." Phoebe replied.

"I did venusmon, then Dianamon, then Zari and Kitty, then Saphy, then Kitty again, then Pheebles. And then I think we left and ended up in here and apparently kept messing around.

"I remembered we all smothered you with our feet once we got in here." Phoebe said.

"Yeah that was weird, but fun. And then this guy took my virginity and then well everything got crazy and I guess we all fell asleep like this. Some of the Kazemon on the other floors said it felt amazing, and I'd have to agree." Kazemon said.

"Ok, my head hurts. Cj, can you come to the shower with me?" Phoebe asked.

"Of course baby girl." I replied as we somehow got out of bed and headed into the equally huge shower. It was big enough there were multiple controls because the ones intended for large digimon to use were almost too high up to reach. It was the size of a small room. We found a comfortable corner and sat together and snuggled as the hot water warmed the room up.

"We really got pulled into this place didn't we?" Phoebe said after a few minutes of silence.

"Hehe, yeah, and you're still beautiful." I replied.

"Awwwe Cj. Still so sweet." Phoebe replied.

Kitty entered the shower and joined us after digivolving to her Lilithmon form.

"Kitty Kat? What's wrong?" Phoebe asked.

"I just wanted to join you." Kitty said.

" Awwe, that's fine, I wanted to ask you to come too I just didn't think you'd actually come in here." Phoebe said.

"I think the water isn't as bad when I'm in this form." Kitty replied.

"Been trying to tell you that for twenty years." I said.

"Well I still don't like it when it gets on my wings." Kitty replied.

"You can't fly anyway." I said.

"Yeah well, it still feels weird." Kitty replied.

"What's up Pheebles?" I asked.

"I was right about you and Zari wasn't I?" She asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"Yeah they're all lovey dovey. It made me feel jealous, but I didn't want to cause any trouble." Kitty said.

"But you're both going to keep your distance right?" Phoebe asked.

"If you let us, if we keep doing stuff like this how are we supposed to?" I asked.

"Well last night was your fault, you talked me into it." Phoebe said.

"We'll split the blame." I said.

"Ok." Phoebe said.

"You sent me up there to begin with." I said.

"Yeah, that's true." Phoebe replied.

"Hey idiots why did you leave me alone on the top, oh, well this is interesting. Where's the love birds?" Mervamon said as she entered the room and looked around, loud enough we could hear her in the shower.

"Oh fuck she's looking for us." I said.

"Why do you always have to be so loud?" Dianamon complained.

"It's good to see you're ok Mervamon." Venusmon said.

"I don't expect you to make it up to her since that's entirely her fault. Nor do I want you too, I just want you to myself right now." Phoebe said.

"Good, because I just want you two." I said.

"Yeah right." Kitty said in disbelief.

"Also we aren't drinking that stuff ever again, it was a fun one time thing, but no more. And no more orgies for a while either, I mean it this time. And you stay away from Zari. I'll try to keep you occupied, so will Kitty." Phoebe said.

"I will?" Kitty asked.

"Yes, you love him don't you?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah." Kitty replied.

"Ok, good, because I still love you more than anything Pheebles." I replied before Mervamon barged in.

"Do you mind? We're trying to figure things out. I'm sorry you missed out yesterday if you're mad about that, but I mean, it is kind of your fault." Phoebe said.

"Um, ok fine we'll talk later I guess." Mervamon said before timidly retreating.

"Oh and Venusmon is in love with me." I said.

"That I'm less worried about because you don't love her back, and you know if we sort out this thing with Ophanimon, I don't think they'll be coming with us when we leave this place anyway." Phoebe said.

"Probably." I said.

"What about Saphy?" I asked.

"Arceus, I couldn't get an answer out of her last night. What about you?" Phoebe said.

"We talked for a little bit, that's why we were still going at it when you walked in on us." I said.

"Oh, ok. So how'd that go?" Phoebe asked.

"Well, it ended with me railing her against the side of the tub so." I said.

"But she didn't give you an answer either?" Phoebe said.

"Pheebles she doesn't have as much experience as Kitty does with that sort of thing, and she's smart enough to know it. If she can find someone to have all to herself, so be it, but you know she's not going to get you, because you're mine. It's way too early for her to feel confident in making a decision like that. And she could be waiting to see if she can find someone for herself, but you know, she's too shy to say it." I suggested.

"I guess maybe there's some truth to that." Phoebe said.

"Right now I would just bet on you me and Kitty for the time being ok?" I said.

"Ok." She replied.

"Besides, she can be both of ours you know that." I said.

"Mhm." Kitty agreed.

"What about Zari though Cj?" Phoebe asked.

"The line has to be drawn somewhere Pheebles. Let's just agree to one virara each at the most ok? Otherwise what's the point of even being married?" I asked.

"Yeah, ok I see your point, I don't want you with anyone else anyway." Phoebe replied.

"So no more of this then?" I asked.

"Well, we might have to make it up to Chally again, but, aside from that, we really need to go back to focusing more on us." Phoebe said.

"I have a feeling you're just saying that but I agree with you." I said.

"Oh Cj, it was never my intention to keep having orgies like that forever." Phoebe said.

"If you say so Pheebles." I replied.

"And besides I know you want Zari too. You just don't want to say it because you don't want me to worry but you forget I can read you." Phoebe said.

"I know, but I love you two and I just want you to be happy." I said.

"Ok, so now what?" Phoebe asked after a few seconds of silence.

"What?" Phoebe asked.

"Just one more round with you two and we'll get dressed and leave this place." I said.

"Right now?" She asked.

Several minutes later we were out of the shower and were sorting through a large pile of clothes looking for our own along with everyone else, until eventually everyone was dressed and it was safe to open the door, leave, and head back to the hotel, hopefully before the others realized we were gone. Phoebe took a short detour to the bus to make sure Blacklillymon stayed unconscious, but caught up with us later. The goddesses wanted to stay behind to try to work some sort of deal out with bachusmon, but considering they tried to do that last night and failed miserably we managed to talk them into coming back to the hotel with us, so we could bring the entirety of our group over to see him. Mostly thanks to Venusmon, who I now seemed to have a slight hold over since last night.

It was about noon when we got everyone rounded up at the hotel and headed back over to Bachusmon's. Phoebe was back to recording things with the camera, though there wasn't much new stuff to record.

"Do they really need to watch us walk over to the hotel and back twice?" I asked.

"I don't know, maybe we'll meet a cool digimon or something, or a cute one, maybe Kazemon has a ground counterpart too." Phoebe said.

I thought of the classic anime depiction of grumblemon for a brief moment before realizing without a shadow of a doubt that that was absolutely not what she was implying.

"You know we have a limited amount of tapes right?" I asked.

"I know, if we run out I'll start erasing the more non important parts." Phoebe said.

"Why are you even recording the non-important parts?" I asked.

"So we have more information." Phoebe replied.

"Cawey Mawa Seewee." I said.

"What?" Kitty asked.

"He's saying I'm silly in the same way our son speaks." Phoebe said.

"I'm glad you remember that after this long." Phoebe said to me a few seconds later.

"Your son has like, some sort of issue?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, it's called being one year old." Phoebe said.

"Oh." Kitty replied.

"Is that bad?" Kitty asked.

"Please tell me this is just you faking it again." Phoebe said.

"No." Kitty replied.

"Everybody that's ever lived long enough has been one year old." Phoebe said.

"It's his age, not a disease Kitty." I said.

"Oh right, sorry, I just, heard it as some sort of disease. I don't know I'm sorry." She replied

"Phoebe can we talk for a moment?" Saphy asked.

"Yeah, we should talk again, but not right now. Tonight maybe, or maybe on the bus." Phoebe said as she kept recording.

"So what happened at this place that was so great you spent the whole night there?" Henry asked.

"Well it has real booze, for one." I replied.

"That's all I need." He said with a smile.

"They have some really weird ass drink called a love finder, don't drink it we don't need to be here another day." Zari said.

"It's that bad?" Claire asked.

"It kept us there all night." I said.

"They might try to offer you one for free off the bat, that's just what they do, don't take it, and you can get a few drinks if you want, maybe they'll sell us some for the road, but don't get drunk." I said.

"Why is it so bad?" Henry asked.

"It puts boobs on things that shouldn't have boobs and enlarges boobs on things that do. Among other things, apparently the more you drink the more elaborate and vivid the hallucinations. If you drink enough I guess everyone just starts looking like a supermodel."

"Cj watch your words Charley doesn't need to hear about boobs." Phoebe said.

"Well how would you explain it?" I asked.

"If you drink enough you would basically get the same effect of seeing me naked, you'd orgasm until you black out." Venusmon said, at this point she had herself covered up as much as possible, even more than the rest of us who were all wearing winter clothing because of the cold. Except for Challey and IceLeomon's wives who were wearing what any normal person would wear in the summer and IceLeomon who always wore this pair of dark green pants and not much else.

Upon hearing this Henry stopped walking for a moment and Ninjamon immediately tripped and fell on his face.

"Charley doesn't need to hear you say that either." Phoebe said.

"Um, Henry? You ok?" Claire asked.

"Oh silly me, sorry, I really need to watch what I say sometimes." Venusmon replied.

"Wha what happened?" Henry asked.

"I'm not sure." Claire replied.

"Nothing, he just got venusmon'd he'll be fine." Dianamon said with a laugh.

"Ow my face, fuck, owe!" Ninjamon said as he came to, no pun intended.

"Saphy? Saphy where'd you go? Saphy!" Ninjamon said.

"Just get up, you weirdo." Saphy replied.

"Awe, now I gotta delete that too." Phoebe said.

"Don't, it's funny. It's like the funniest thing that's happened these last two hours you've been recording." I said.

"Ohhh, ok, I'll leave that one in." Phoebe said.

"Good Pheebles." I said as I affectionately patted her on the head.

"Does it make guys look better too?" Illustria asked.

"It depends what you're into I think. Also the more you drink the more what you see kind of syncs up with what everyone else is seeing. It's like it puts you in another reality. It's weird. It's not even just people, it makes everything look more beautiful, the walls, the music, it's ridiculous." I said.

"Do the walls start growing boobs?" Kiera asked.

"It might depend on who drinks it, to me they just became more ornate and fancy looking, they didn't really resemble anything sexual at all. They just looked, prettier. " I said.

"I think only Bacchusmon understands it entirely." Venusmon said. "It uses a bit of my power too, but mostly his."

"He makes other drinks though right?" Selenia asked.

"Anything you can think of he can make, that's his power." Venusmon said.

"Verosian Splacht extract?" I asked.

"He can probably make some." Venusmon said.

-several minutes later in the office bar of bacchusmon's club, in the back of the hot tub room. Where it was a lot quieter, away from the eternal party on the first floor, we had to use Kitty to get in again, it wasn't any less lively than it was the night before.-

"I've literally never heard of that before." Bacchusmon said after I asked him to make some.

"Ok I guess I can fill you in, It's like a cactus that grows on the desert planet of Veros it's tall green and pokey and everything. During the wet season it stores whatever rainwater it can get inside itself so it can weather through the dry season, however some of these plants have a bacteria in them that reacts with the water and causes it to ferment, this generates a gas inside the plant that causes it to inflate like a balloon, until it finally ruptures and starts leaking the alcohol out of it, it gets collected and filtered, and sold by the bottle, sometimes it's mixed with flavorings. " I said.

"I can get you some very fine tequila, that's about it." Bacchusmon replied.

"Eh it's sort of like tequila, it's kind of got a bit of its own flavor going on though." I said.

"Anyway you could describe this flavor?" Bacchusmon asked.

"It's like tequila but, like, maybe a hint of pineapple flavor?" Illustria suggested.

"No it's like tequila and light beer and the faintest hint of pineapple, but at a 65 ABV." I said.

"It's at 65?" Bachusmon asked.

"Well 65 is the industry standard, naturally it can be anywhere from 50-70, the hotter the climate is the faster the plant bursts the less time it has to ferment, and thus the lower the ABV." I said.

"70?" Bachusmon asked.

"It's gotta be a really cold, dry year for that to happen, but they grow these things in space now and they can regulate it a bit more so they always end up around 65, you can buy it in other proofs too, but 65 is the traditional, and most popular option." I said.

"Well, we're going to have to experiment in order to get this right." Bacchusmon replied.

"Cj, we don't have time for this." Phoebe said as Bachusmon seemed to fill several glasses up with his hand. With a variety of clear to somewhat yellowish liquids.

"Allright, why don't you try these and just tell me which ones the closest?" Bacchusmon said.

"Are those, all 65 abv?" I asked.

"No, they're all non-alcoholic, can't have my testers getting drunk, simulated 65 abv though so it still has bite like the real thing should." Bachusmon said.

"Now while they're trying those, what can I help the rest of you with?" Bachusmon asked.

"Well we kind of explained the situation already last night, with deusmon threatening the digital world." Dianamon said.

"And you're heading to the frozen city to deal with him?" Bachusmon asked.

"Yeah." Dianamon replied.

"And once we deal with deusmon, then these guys are going to help us get a lead on Ophanimon. They're the humans she recruited to stop him." Mervamon said.

"And what do you want me to do? I already rebuilt my club." Bachusmon replied.

"Well what if we brought Kazemon and Renamon along with us?" Dianamon said.

"You can have one, but not both, they're my star attractions." Bacchusmon said.

"Kazemon then, since she's stronger. We need all the fighters we can get." Mervamon replied.

"Listen, you give me a few days, I can get you an army. Plenty of patrons will fight to protect this place, just like last time. But right now I've got most of my recruits out looking for survivors, I just need time." Bachusmon said.

"Did it work last time?" I asked.

"No, but we were against all three of them last time. Now Ophanimon is the only one left. Against Deusmon's armies, they should be more than adequate." Bacchusmon said.

"You want to try it Pheebles? He said it was non-alcoholic." I said.

"Ok, might as well." Phoebe said.

"Ow it burns like it is though." She said seconds later.

"Yeah, just take a sip, not a drink." I replied.

"Kitty Kat, I know you've had this stuff a few times before." I said as I offered her the third glass.

"Yeah." Kitty replied.

"Personally I think the third one is the closest." I said.

"Yeah, definitely." Illustria said.

"I'd say maybe the fourth one." Henry said.

"Too sugary." I replied.

"Yeah, it's the third, but it's still has a long way to go." Selenia said.

"Mhm." Kitty replied.

"You've only tried the third one." I pointed out.

"Well, I'll try the others then too." Kitty said and she grabbed another.

"So you like the third one?" Bachusmon asked.

"Yeah." Everyone agreed.

"Ok then let's have another round." Bachusmon said as he turned away from the goddesses for a moment, dumped all but the third drink out and then filled 5 more glasses.

"Let me know which one of these is closest." He said before resuming his conversation with the goddesses.

"So you are going to help us then?" Dianamon asked.

"Of course, the world is in danger, and we all want revenge on her. I just need time." Bachusmon replied.

"So what's this stuff taste like?" Ninjamon asked.

"You want some?" Kitty asked as she offered him one of the glasses.

He took it and proceeded to take a whole swig of it, as everyone that knew what this stuff was trying to be just looked at him like he was crazy.

"Hey you're just supposed to take a sip." I said.

"I guess I should have told him?" Kitty asked.

"Maybe, but you'd think he'd know better than to just chug strange liquids." I replied.

He lowered the glass from his face after the second chug and seemed to be quite sick. He stared straight ahead for about 3 seconds before grabbing his stomach and frantically looking around the room.

"Trashcan's over there." Bachusmon said, sensing the inevitable.

Ninjamon darted for the trash as soon as he saw it and promptly threw up.

"How do ya ever drink that stuff?" He asked once the spectacle was over.

"You're supposed to either sip it or mix it with something else." Henry said, trying not to laugh.

"Awe, it's a mixer." Bacchusmon said.

"We'll get to that later once we get it figured out." I said.

"Sounds good." Bacchusmon replied.

"What you guys think this time number 5?" I asked.

"Yeah, or maybe 2." Kitty agreed.

" I think more 5 than 2. They're kind of close though." Henry said.

"Yeah." Saphy replied.

"Five, definitely." Zari said after trying it.

"Ready for round 3 then?" Bachusmon asked.

"Yeah, go for it." I replied.

A few seconds later we had another set of 5 drinks to try. Each round getting closer than the last. By round 5 it was pretty much indistinguishable from the drink we all remembered.

"4." I said.

"No, it's 2." Kitty argued.

"3." Saphy said.

"5." Zari said.

"Probably 3." Henry said.

"1 all the way." Illustria.

"See this is how you know you about have it, when people can't decide which is more correct." Bachusmon said.

"Are they even different?" Selenia asked.

"Yeah, but at this point the difference is extremely small, but it looks like 3 might have the edge." Bachusmon replied.

"Allright, one more round and we should probably have it." Bacchusmon said.

The next round everyone agreed that 2 was the most accurate and was pretty much spot on.

"So 2 it is then. Allright any other drinks you want to teach me?" Bachusmon said.

"Island delight?" I suggested.

"Yeah." Kitty agreed.

"Another time guys, we need to get moving." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, this was fun, but we probably should get going." Henry agreed.

"I ain't drinking anymore of that stuff, nuh-uh, no way." Ninjamon replied.

" I wouldn't serve you anymore anyway, I'd risk you throwing up all over my bar." Bacchusmon said.

"Hold up, we still need to arrange where we're going to meet this army you said you could get us." Mervamon said.

'"Right, let me get a map." Bachusmon said.

"Can we get a copy? We don't have any accurate maps for anything up here, we're basically just going off of IceLeomon's memory." I said.

"I'll see if I have an extra one, otherwise I can show you to the wizardmon I have hiding this place they usually have a map or two." Bacchusmon said.

"What's wrong with my memories?" IceLeomon asked.

"Well you didn't know where this place was for starters." I said.

"Didn't need too, we just followed the tracks." IceLeomon replied.

"Well it would be nice for everyone else to see." One of his wives, probably Elli, spoke up.

"Yeah, ok." IceLeomon agreed.

"Zari, um, I was thinking, maybe you should ride with Henry and Claire now. Because, you know?" Phoebe said.

"Yeah, maybe." Zari said.

"If there's room. What's this about?" Henry said.

"Yeah." Ninjamon replied.

"It's a private matter." Zari said.

"Yeah." Phoebe agreed.

"She can take my mechanorimon instead and I can ride with you." Venusmon said.

"Let's go talk this out then, Cj stay here, you two come with me." Phoebe said before heading for the door.

"So what's this about you don't like Zari anymore?" Henry asked.

"It's the opposite, they're getting too close and Phoebe doesn't like it." Kitty said.

"Way to keep a secret Kitty Kat." I replied.

"So grey babies and cat babies weren't enough you want to make some red ones too?" Henry asked.

"Ok first off she's not a cat, second off, she can't get pregnant." I said.

"You can make babies?" Ninjamon asked, confused.

"Well what do you think we do on that bus all the time you weird little potato man?" Kitty asked in a seductively teasing manner.

Ninjamon just stood there and blushed.

"Are you sure those were non-alcoholic?" I asked Bacchusmon who was in the backroom looking for a map.

"Yeah, they should be." He replied.

"Kitty Kat what are you doing?" I asked.

"I think I broke him." She replied with a laugh.

" Yeah, but why?" I asked.

"Because it's fun." She replied.

"Lussy, Celly, Kiera, come out here." Phoebe asked from the entrance.

They all reluctantly left the bar and went out to see her.

"You want to make babies with them too?" Henry asked.

"Oh stop it." Claire said.

"Honestly I have no idea what's going on now." I said.

"She'll probably call you out and they'll have another orgy going on out there." Kitty said.

"Yeah, probably." I replied.

"Seriously?" Henry asked.

"After last night though?" Saphy asked.

"Yeah I'm gonna have to give it a hard no, my legs are, about done." I said.

"Yeah, probably." I replied.

"You and Claire still a thing?" I asked.

"Yep." Henry replied.

"No, between her and Kitty I got all I need. It's Phoebe you gotta worry about, but she usually respects boundaries." I said, kind of lying, as I did feel something for Zari.

"I'll keep that in mind." Henry replied.

"Just don't leave them alone for more than 5 minutes you'll be fine." I said.

"What about Iceleomon?" Kitty asked.

"Everything is good." IceLeomon replied.

"Good." Kitty said.

"Allright I finally found a map." Bachusmon said as he emerged from the backroom.

He splayed it out on the bar for everyone to see as Phoebe came back in with everyone else.

"What did you decide?" I asked my beloved while Mervamon selfishly seized the map and started looking it over.

"Lussy and Zari are going to switch places for a while, to help keep you away from her." Phoebe said.

"Ok, sounds fine." I said.

"We all know it's for the best." Phoebe said.

"Right." Zari agreed, coming off just a bit sarcastically.

"So let's see this map." Phoebe said.

"Just a sec." Mervamon said.

"Is there really any advantage to going out there if we're just going to wait to meet up with the army he assembles anyway?" I asked.

"The less time we spend here the safer this place will be." Mervamon said.

"Yeah, they know we're up here somewhere, they're not going to stop looking, and at some point they'll stumble upon this place just like we did. So we need to go so they don't get too curious." Phoebe said.

"Yeah that makes sense I guess." I said.

"You just want to stay here and have more fun with me don't you?" Phoebe asked.

"That's not completely untrue." I said.

"What about if we meet here at Icey village?" Mervamon asked.

"Seems reasonable to me, at the rate we've been traveling it's a day away." Dianamon said.

"How close are we to the frozen city?" I asked.

"According to this, about a week. Of course that depends on how many enemies we have to fight along the way." Dianamon said.

"And how big of an army you want." Bacchusmon added.

"So more than a week then?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, I'm going to need atleast that." Bacchusmon replied.

"Do we even need an army? We've been doing pretty good without one." Claire asked.

"Well we're going up against darkdramon, Icedaemon, and Marionamon all at once, and then there's still the question of whether we're going to end up running into the Bubblemen again, so, while we have been doing good, an army would definitely help." Phoebe said.

We'd seen darkdramon's army before when they attacked the machine city, we knew they had a lot more than what we'd seen of them so far. Marionamon probably didn't have very many forces left, unless she was able to rebuild, as she just barely escaped us, but Icedaemon could have a lot more.

And then there was Blacklillymon, who was still unconscious on our bus, no army left whatsoever, being a plant type, they wouldn't do well this far north anyway. We were just holding her as a game piece, to keep her from meeting with the others, which kept them from moving forward with the summoning of deusmon, she couldn't be allowed to regain consciousness under any circumstance.

"Ok then let me record that map and then we won't need a copy." Phoebe said.

"If we can make it out on that tiny screen." I said.

"Well we can try." Phoebe replied.

"Has anyone seen DarkVioletmon?" Zari asked.

"She's waiting on the bus for us. I saw her when I went over there this morning." Phoebe said.

"She's just been sitting there in her seat, this whole time?" Saphy asked.

"Well actually she was sitting on the roof. I don't know what her thing is. I don't think she just sits there, she probably moves around the general area sometimes, I hope." Phoebe said.

"Did you give her her coat?" I asked.

"No, I will later when we're moving again." Phoebe said.

"OK." I said as she pointed the camera at the map and started "scanning" it.

"Maybe if I get it this close up it will be easier to read." She said.

"Maybe." I replied.

"I can probably get you a copy from one of the wizardmon working for me." Bacchusmon said.

"Ok, sure, cause I'm not sure how well this is going to work." Phoebe replied.

"I'll go see if they have one." Bachusmon said as he headed for the door.

"OK let's play it back now." Phoebe said.

-a few seconds later-

"It's not perfect but I can make out most of the words and locations. It'd be fine if we just had a bigger screen." Phoebe said.

Eventually we got back on the bus and headed out. The plan was to head for Icey village and hang out there to wait for an army which would be led by the beautiful Kazemon, who stayed behind for now.

Saphy was driving. Zari was piloting one of the mechanorimon, and Illustria was riding with us.

"So Lussy this is what it's like to ride on our bus." Phoebe said.

"Well I bet this gets boring after a while." Lussy said.

"Yeah, that's why we usually end up having a lot of fun in the bed. I mean we've been trying to refrain from such things recently because we could get attacked at any moment, but it just got so boring." Phoebe said.

"Did you guys do what I think you did last night?" Challey asked.

"They tried to call for you when we moved floors but you already left by then." Saphy replied.

"Cj you wanna play with Challey and our new guest to help you get your mind off Zari? While I try to seduce you know who with you know what?" Phoebe asked.

"Really? Right away?" Illustria asked.

"Well if you don't want to you don't have to, but I know Chally wants some." Phoebe said.

"And we're going to switch you newbies out on a regular basis so you don't fall in love with either of us. So today is your lucky day." Phoebe said.

"And what about me then Phoebe?" Kitty asked.

"You can have a turn too. Of course that's if Cj is feeling up to it." Phoebe said.

"Can I just snuggle with my ladies right now?" I asked.

"Yeah." Kitty replied as she laid down with me.

"Pheebles?" I looked at her longingly.

"Ok fine." Phoebe said.

"And if I start feeling horny later maybe we'll do something." I said.

"Ok." Phoebe said.

"But after last night, I need a rest." I said.

"Can you fill me in on what happened last night?" Chally asked.

"What we can remember." Phoebe said. "It was fun, I'm truly sorry you couldn't be there."

"I did venusmon, then Dianamon, then Zari and Kitty, then Saphy, then Kitty again, then Pheebles. And then I think we left the top floor and got a big room on the second highest floor." I said.

"And Kazemon was there." I said.

"No she met us on the top floor and then we sent her to get you at that point since we weren't in the hot tubs anymore, but she said you already left so we played with her too." Phoebe said.

"Then I nailed Kitty again, and then Pheebles again, and, then I don't remember." I said.

"Let's hope you didn't get Zari pregnant." Phoebe said.

"Fuck, I don't think so, you were using her as a pillow when I woke up." I said.

"How will we know?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know, can that even happen here?" I asked.

"I don't know, I know we normally don't get hungry or thirsty unless it's really hot." Phoebe said.

"I guess we'll never find out for sure until we get out of here." I said.

"And we'll probably forget about it by then." Phoebe said.

"With how horny you are? Probably." I replied.

"And you're not the only one that missed out Chally, Mervamon drank too much and was unconscious the whole time!" Phoebe said with a laugh.

"Yeah I saw her sleeping naked against the wall." Chally replied.

"You're kidding me? Miss Goddess almighty got completely wasted?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah, but don't even mention anything about that to her please. I know you don't get along with her, but she is way stronger than you, and you don't need to get yourself hurt." Phoebe replied.

"I know. It's still funny though." Illustria replied.

"What do you think of Dianamon?" I asked.

"She's ok." Illustria said. "And Venusmon seems nice, but she's pretty quiet most of the time."

"She's in love with Cj even though it will never work out." Phoebe said.

"Really?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah. I think it's more of just a crush though." Phoebe said.

"I don't reciprocate, I mean she's nice, but, I got my hands full." I said.

"Yes you do." Phoebe agreed.

"Yeah, I do." I said as I looked straight into her eyes.

"And Zari is in love with him too?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah, that was a bit more serious and that's why you switched spots with her. So we could keep them apart." Phoebe said.

"Couldn't you just wipe our memories?" I asked.

"Yeah, but we have no idea what the consequences of that would be. You'd have so many gaps to fill. It's not like with Claire where I just erased that entire part of her memory, yours would just look like Swiss cheese if I removed all your special times together. That's also part of the reason why I didn't make you forget Ronnie too. Also I wouldn't want somebody else to make you forget me if anything happens. " Phoebe said.

"Nothing is going to happen Pheebles." I said.

"You don't know that for sure." Phoebe said.

"You know it would really help if you didn't push yourself so hard. Like um, not making yourself bleed out of your eyes and ears? Like seriously Pheebles, that can't be good for you babe. All this healing stuff? Who knows if it actually replaces brain cells?" I asked.

"I know I know, but you also know I only do that to protect you." She said.

"Well don't you think you could I don't know maybe dial it down a bit so you know, that doesn't happen?" I asked.

"We'll see." Phoebe replied.

"I don't wanna lose you either baby." I said.

"I know." She replied. "But now if anything happens to me you'll still have Kitty."

"You know why I never married Kitty right? Because I was waiting for you." I said.

"Well still." She said.

"No don't you dare start thinking you're not as important to me now. You're the last person I ever want to lose Pheebles." I said.

"mmmm." Kitty sadly moaned.

"Sorry Kitty Kat, you know I love you, but I need to get this through her head. I'd be hurt if I lost you too, you know that, but what Pheebles and I went through, I could live another thousand years, have a hundred more marriages and not see another adventure like that." I said.

"Yeah, no, no more marriages for you, you're stuck with us now." Phoebe said.

"What about me?" Saphy asked.

"Cj and I talked, and well, you couldn't give either of us a straight answer last night and neither of us feel like you're ready to fully commit. You don't have any experience and we both think it would be better if you went out there and just kind of see what else the world has to offer first. I'm not saying you have to have as many failed relationships as Kitty, but, she's kind of given up on finding anyone else, she'd rather have whatever time with Cj I let her have than have someone else all to herself." Phoebe said.

"Mhm." Kitty agreed.

" As far as I know, you've barely had the opportunity to even consider seeing somebody else." Phoebe continued.

"You let Kitty in right away." Saphy said.

"You don't even want to know how many times I've had a really similar conversation to this with Kitty over the past 20 years. Even before I lost Aranea, I'd have this conversation with Kitty, and then a separate one with Aranea where she did her very damned best to try to convince me to leave her for Kitty. Especially whenever those two had the opportunity to talk to each other in her later years. After we did become a thing, I kept telling her if we ever find Phoebe again, you know what's going to happen." I said.

"Sweety it just wouldn't be fair to you if we didn't give you that chance. We'll always be here as your last resort, but, it'd be better for you to try to find someone you can have all to yourself first." Phoebe said.

"Ok. I guess I'll take your word for it." Saphy said.

"Of course we're happy to play matchmaker too." Phoebe said.

"You'll help us too right?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah, we'll help all of you find somebody if you want after we get home, don't worry." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles don't make promises you can't keep." I said.

"Well I intend to do my best to keep them Cj. Now are you ready to give her and Chally another lesson in love?" Phoebe said as she stuck her hand in my pants.

"Ow, Pheebles, that's kind of sore. You little weirdo." I replied as I put my own hands under her dress.

"That's my belly." She said with a giggle.

"Oh you know damned well what I'm going for." I said.

"Noooooo." She replied, cutely and innocently.

"You know if you're gonna touch me like that I'm gonna go straight for your little gardevoir nips and I'm going to massage them and make them tits start to grow." I said.

"Does that mean we're going do this?" She asked as she started to feel aroused.

"nnngh, wait actually that kind of hurts please stop." She said.

"Ok ok, you're that sore too?" I said as I moved my hands back down to her belly, not wanting to hurt her.

"Yeah, I need that healing cream." She said.

"So do I." I replied.

"Let's just relax. I feel like I didn't sleep much last night." I said.

"I don't think we slept for very long, we were up for quite a while. It was already late when we made it into town." Phoebe replied as she withdrew her hand.

"Exactly, how are you not tired? I'm surprised I even managed to have that round with you two in the shower. My legs are so sore right now, fuck, my cock is sore." I said.

"I am tired too Cj, but I'm still in the mood, even though my, well, everything, is kind of tender right now." Phoebe replied.

"Even your belly?" I asked.

"Well not my belly, but you know what I mean." Phoebe said.

"I'm tired, I'm going to take a nap." Kitty chimed in.

"Ok, you do that. If Pheebles can keep her hands to herself, I'll probably join you." I replied as she turned around and curled up.

"We can use the cream to heal up, you know? And then we won't be so sore." Phoebe said.

"That's kind of waste isn't it? Using it just so you can keep screwing each other?" Lussy asked.

"No, it will help us fight better too, if we're not sore. Besides you can join in too." Phoebe tried to justify it.

""OK Pheebles, tell you what, if you get Darkvioletmon in I'm in." I said.

"Really?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah." I replied, figuring it would be entertaining to watch whether she was successful or not.

"Oh I still have to give her coat." Phoebe said as she got up and took her coat off of the cargo rack.

"Hey Violet, we bought this for you so you wouldn't be so cold outside." Phoebe said.

"What is it?" Darkvioletmon asked after a period of silence so long we all started to think she wasn't going to respond at all.

"It's a coat, you wear it over you other clothes. It will help keep you warm. You want to put it on?" Phoebe asked.

Another long period of silence followed as she reached out and felt the coat like it was some kind of alien artifact.

"It's soft." She said.

"Yeah." Phoebe said, somewhat unsure of how to reply.

"You want to try it on?" Phoebe asked after too much silence later.

"How?" Darkvioletmon asked.

"You just put your arms through the sleeves, it's not hard at all." Phoebe explained.

"There you go. Comfortable?" Phoebe asked.

"It feels weird." She replied.

"You'll get used to it." Phoebe said.

"It's warmer." Darkvioletmon said several seconds later.

"Exactly, and if you need to be even warmer you can zip it up like this." Phoebe replied as she demonstrated.

"Ok, thankyou, now . . . go away please . . . . . no more touch." Darkvioletmon said after yet another period of awkward silence.

"Awwwwwwe, ok fine, but enjoy your gift. We were hoping it'd help you to contribute a bit more to our battles." Phoebe moaned as she retreated to the back of the bus in defeat.

"We'll see." DarkVioletmon seemed to struggle to reply.

"I'm not sure what you were expecting." I said as she laid back down beside me.

"Cj, if your thing is that sore I can rub some of that white digiroot healing paste on it." Phoebe said.

"You failed your challenge, that's not how this works." I said.

"Mhm, you faaaaaailed." Kitty teased.

"Ok, ok fine, I give up, let's just get some rest, it's for the best anyway in case anything happens. Chally, Lussy, you'll just have to wait. Keep an eye out the windows for anything." Phoebe relented before yawning.

"OK." Lussy replied.

"Right, um Lussy I'll take this side you take the other." Chally replied.

"Ok." Lussy agreed.

"Maybe I'm more tired than I feel." She said, softly.

"Maybe you are." I said as I pulled her into a snuggle.

"Love you babe." I said.

"Love you." She replied.

Our tiredness, and the gentle movement of the bus as it leisurely trudged through the snow made it easy to lose consciousness. We barely managed 30mph on this terrain, but it was still faster than walking. We kind of had to follow the path of least resistance now too as the snow made it difficult to get up any major hills. Henry's Camaro was doing better, but not by much as it was pretty prone to fishtailing. But it was lighter and less likely to dig in. And they could sort of follow the ruts we were making. The mechanorimon could fly so the snow didn't bother them much at all. But the sky was constantly grey here so if they went too high up it could become difficult to see the ground.

" GUYS YOU NEED TO WAKE UP!" Illustria yelled at us, I'm not sure how much later, but long enough to fall asleep.

"What the fuck?!" I said in a state of confusion.

"NNnnngh, this better be good." Kitty said, completely annoyed with her.

"Hmm? We're getting attacked already?" Phoebe tiredly asked.

"Yeah, come on, you gotta get out there." Illustria said as we all came to the realization the bus was no longer moving and she was the only one still on it besides the three of us.

"Ok OK,I need my coat, and my shoes." Phoebe said.

"Kitty just get your jacket and go, get out there." I said.

"Lussy, go distribute the weapons, I'll be out in a bit." I said as I tossed her the digivice.

"Ok." Lussy replied.

"Be careful with that." Kitty said.

"Fuck I was hoping we'd have more time." I said as Lussy left the bus as well.

"Cj, I love you, don't get hurt. Kitty, protect our husband." Phoebe said before throwing her coat on and heading out, more quickly and less sincere than usual as we were all in a hurry.

"Right." Kitty replied.

"Allright let's go Kitty Kat." I said.

"She said you're my husband too." Kitty said.

"She's just trying to be nice, come on, stay focused." I said.

"Right." She replied.

We left the bus and were met with an interesting sight. A bunch of icedevimon, riding icedevidramon were flying towards us. Which would've been really badass if they weren't the enemy. And a single Frostladydevimon, which was basically the Ladydevimon equivalent of Icedevimon, but with white clothes and some ice abilities.

"Well this is new." I said as the girls in the mechanorimon went up to fight them.

"Are they two digimon or do they just count as one?" Phoebe asked.

"The digivice says they're still just Icedevimon and Icedevidramon." I replied as I retrieved the sword from the pile of weapons Lussy put on the ground, as well as a Deputymon's revolver as Henry decided to take the obelisk this time. I also got my digivice back from Lussy.

"Should we just start shooting then?" Henry asked.

"If you can hit them from here without hitting the newbies. If not, wait until they come down." I replied.

-several seconds later after the mechanorimon began to fight them-

"They're not coming down." Henry said.

"Ok then everybody just take the best shots you can." I said. Prompting them to start to spread out and take cover in the trees.

"Right let's go." Henry said before taking off, prompting the others to spread out and take cover in the trees."

"I can't get my spinny things up that high. I'm going to go make sure that's all that we have to deal with. Love you Cj, don't get hurt. Kitty keep him safe, come on Saphy." Phoebe said before grabbing Saphy and teleporting away.

"I'll go help her too" Darkvioletmon said, throwing me off guard for a moment, but she took off before I could say anything more or even ask how she intended to catch up to her.

Unlike the other Icedevimon which we fought on the ground, these stayed on the backs of their icedevidramon. At first I thought they were going to jump off and continue to fight on the ground, but in became clear they intended to fight as riders, which posed a new sort of challenge as now they had the combined attack strength of both digimon, with icedevidramon's speed and ability to fly. They were still hard to hit from the ground, and the mechanorimon, now led by Zari instead of Lussy, were having a hard time keeping up with them. At this point Zari had enough experience she took to her new role quite well. Within minutes she was operating the mechanical digimon just as good as the others and commanding the other two effectively as well, while the goddesses in the other 3 kind of did their own thing, which was normal, Mervamon did not like to take orders, though to be fair atleast she had the competence to back it up. In a lot of ways, she was even more reckless than Lussy but had the durability to not make it suicidal, though it was a bit hard on her mechanorimon.

For the first several minutes of the battle everything basically happened up in the air, we started firing at them from the ground, but it was very unlikely we would ever hit them. And they seemed to be purely interested in going after the mechanorimon at the time. Phoebe teleported around, keeping a lookout for any approaching ground-based enemies. The rest of us split off and started looking as well, though not one of us could blip around as fast as she could. The mechanorimon were getting worn down, however. Eventually Zari gave the order to retreat while the goddesses provided cover, as they, being high level digimon, could survive the mechanorimon crashing, or even just blatantly falling out of the mechanorimon at that altitude. Zari and the 2 newbies with her could not.

They retreated, climbed out of their mechanorimon and rejoined us on the ground while the goddesses continued to hold them off for a bit.

"Hey you made it down safely." I said as Kitty and I watched them land.

"Yeah, come on, we need weapons." Zari replied.

"Just a sec." I replied as I went through my digivice.

"Where's Phoebe?" Zari asked.

"Scouting around, making sure those guys up there are the only enemies." I said.

"I hope they don't intend on staying up there, that could be bad." Zari said.

"Eh, they can hit us from up there about as well as we can hit them." I said.

"I can't hit them at all from here." Kitty chimed in.

"Is Lussy ok?" Selly asked.

"Last I knew she was off over that way with Claire and Henry." I replied.

"Tell her, her mechanorimon misses her." Zari said with a laugh.

"Hehe it does?" I asked.

"It's been talking about her all day." Zari replied.

"Where is Lussy? Why is Lussy not here? What is Lussy doing?" Zari said while crudely imitating its voice.

"I kinda missed you." I said.

"Yeah, well, it is for the best." Zari replied.

"No, you're not doing this right now." Kitty said as she got between us.

"Yeah, I know, we should be keeping an eye on what's going on up there." I said.

"Yeah, that's right." Kitty said, sounding somewhat unsure.

"Nobody can hit them though, Pheebles can't even get her shurikens that high, neither can ninjamon, it's out of Saphy's range, all we can do is shoot at them." I said as I ejected several weapons from the digivice for them to choose from. Of course at this point the others already had their pick.

"Well, it's still something though, it's not like these guns have limited ammo." Zari said.

"True." I replied as they chose their weapons.

"Cj." Phoebe said as she teleported in nearby.

"Pheebles. Did you see anything out there?" I replied.

"They're not doing anything, I made sure of it." Kitty said.

"We weren't going to do anything Kitty Kat, we're in the middle of a battle." I said.

"It's nice to know I can count on you to keep them apart at least." Phoebe replied.

"Pheebles I'd never do that to you, you know it." I said.

"I can't deny, I have feelings for him, but if you two don't approve." Zari said.

"I know, and that's really sweet of both of you, but we're just not ready Zari." She replied.

"Come on let's take cover in the trees it won't be long before the goddesses are grounded as well." Phoebe said.

"Hopefully they'll come closer then." I said.

"Hopefully." Phoebe replied.

Eventually that turned out to be the case because they were about as effective at hitting us from that height with lots and lots of icycles and icebeams from both the icedevimon and the icedevidramon, as we were at hitting them with our assortment of weapons.

They started swooping down on us and attempting to pick us up for an easy kill while Phoebe tried to keep everyone safe by teleporting them away before they could strike, a few made it to safety behind a tree. Kitty got picked up by one, but this was more or less deliberate so she could sink her claws into the icedevidramon, repeatedly until it disintegrated. Then she went for its Icedevimon rider as they both fell to the ground, it put up a good fight, but being a higher level she eventually overpowered it and got the upper hand.

At that point everybody spread out and took cover by the trees, so they changed tactics and started charging at us on the ground, the trees were still a life saver though as they couldn't get their claws through them. They were a lot easier for fire support to shoot at too, so now they were all slowly whittling away at their health, though they still had to be cautious and keep their distance, spreading way out behind the rest of us forming a lose line to avoid shooting towards each other. They all had the fortune of the enemy digimon generally being more concerned with the bigger threat, our own digimon, but they wouldn't hesitate to attack them too if they were being stupid and making themselves a convenient target.

Phoebe found time to get her shurikens out and set them to work, but these Icedevimon were seemingly more skilled than the others and were pretty good at dodging them or just batting them away. Their Icedevidramon-enhanced mobility also made them much more dangerous than normal. The single Frostladydevimon was attacking with the rest of them but had so far not done much to distinguish her abilities from the rest. There wasn't that many of them, and they weren't that strong once we found a way to hit them, but their skill and intelligence served to drag the fight out. They were weary around Kitty now as well as the goddesses, and instead focused on everyone else. Saphy digivolved to Oceanamon in anticipation, since she couldn't slow them down enough with draining rain to be of much help and her other abilities just weren't fast enough. Darkvioletmon chose to enter the fight, and tripped one up with her vines, before ensnaring them and attempting to squeeze the life out them, Phoebe then seized the opportunity to slice both the icedevimon and the icedevidramon it was riding up with her shurikens and they disintegrated into data not long afterwards.

"Looks like that coat is paying off already. Go ahead and take their data if you want." Phoebe said.

"Thankyou." DarkVioletmon nervously replied.

"That's all you're going to say?" Phoebe asked.

"It's not over yet." Darkvioletmon replied.

"True." Phoebe agreed.

"Um, what do I do now?"" Saphy asked as she tried drowning one only for it to freeze the water she put around it and basically turned itself into a popsicle.

"Can you smash it with your spear?" Phoebe asked.

"I can try." Saphy said.

They both started attacking the two digimon turned ice cube, until the ice cracked enough that they broke free and immediately attacked Saphy.

She stabbed it in retaliation, as Phoebe started to slice it up with her shurikens. Then Blackvioletmon decided to join in as well and eventually neither digimon could take anymore and reverted into data.

"Ok that was scary." Saphy said.

"Well you stabbed it that time." Phoebe replied. "You might have enough data to digivolve now but you still got a ways to go before you can keep up with Kitty."

"I know. I spent the last century working with sapient jellyfish, she's been doing, I don't know space pirate things?" Saphy said.

"Her and Cj were in the U.S.C together." Phoebe replied.

"Well still." Saphy said.

"We'll work on it, don't worry, you might not be one of our viraras, but I'm still your tamer." Phoebe replied.

"Hey Pheebles! One's getting away!" I said when I saw it.

"I got it." Kitty said as she took off after it.

"No . . . you . . . don't." I said, but she was too far away to hear me anymore. I already knew she couldn't catch it. Phoebe could teleport in front of it but that wasn't a particularly good idea either.

It got away, presumably to get reinforcements or atleast tell another group of enemies where we were.

Aside from Kitty, Venusmon sent her bird after it, so atleast maybe she could see what reinforcements would be coming, I guess, I wasn't entirely sure how that power worked other than she has two separate entities like that and she can summon and "return" them out of thin air whenever she wants, if they get destroyed she can still summon them again after a while, thus is the strangeness of god-level digimon, but just like with Kitty it was faster than her and eventually escaped from its sight.

I considered sending Cap'n'magnum out, but then I realized if they fought back and he got knocked out I'd have no way of easily finding him.

Venusmon ran support for Mervamon as usual, trying to pacify the enemy, or otherwise keep them distracted, which was great when it worked, but like everyone else it was hard for her to keep up with these guys. And Mervamon just went crazy and started chasing the enemy around trying to land a hit, something I more expected from IceLeomon. Never the less, the two were able to bring one down easily enough just by using venusmon's charm to slow it down and Mervamon's strength to end it.

IceLeomon fiercely guarded his wives while they provided fire support. One of the riders came for him. He punched the icedevimon so hard it knocked him off his mount. The Icedevidramon, then on its own took, to the skies while the ice cold demon was beaten to a pulp. Iceleomon didn't have much time to breath however as the now riderless but still very evil Icedevidramon started raining icicles down on him, with neglible results, a couple pierced his skin causing some slow trickles of blood. What was more worrisome is that he couldn't actually hit it back because it wouldn't come back down, and was out of his range though it was only flying at tree top height now, a lot lower than it was when the battle started. He ran away from his wives to keep them from being hit as the evil ice dragon gave chase. He tried to climb a few of the trees to attempt to get closer to it but this didn't work at all and only made him more vulnerable. This went on for a couple minutes until Dianamon, who split off from the other goddesses to look for a target of her own, realized his situation and quickly brought the flying digimon down with her arrows.

"I hate flyers." He said as the digimon that had been his worst enemy for the last few minutes layed dying.

"I don't blame you." Dianamon replied.

"He's safe, he's over here." Ellie said to her sister.

"Good, he's safe." Kaytori replied as they both ran up and hugged him.

"Sorry, but you know I had to lead it away from you." Iceleomon said.

"We know." Ellie replied.

"Where's Phoebe? We need to get you healed." Kaytory said.

"Wait until it's over. I know it looks pretty bad, but it's fine really. I barely feel this." Iceleomon replied.

"You sure?" Dianamon asked. " Venusmon can fix you up too."

Kitty went and digivolved back to her Lilithmon form after we tried to setup an ambush a few times by having her hide behind and in trees and me being stupid and making myself a convenient target in order to lead them directly to her. She kept getting thrown off before she could do any significant damage and after trying a few times she was getting pretty ruffed up herself, so we had to try something new.

As a Lilithmon, her Phantom Pain technique caused them some pain they couldn't avoid, as she just needed to have them in her sight long enough to "cast" it, and it slowed them down a lot in the process, but didn't do enough damage to kill them. It's more about inflicting pain than fatal damage. But it slowed them down enough I could get a few hits in with the sword, and after doing that multiple times, taking caution once it started to wear off, we eventually brought one down. We went looking for others, but, as there weren't very many of them to begin with they were all occupied with fighting somebody else so we just kept an eye out in case one of our friends started to lose. Eventually we regrouped with Phoebe, Saphy, Darkvioletmon, the goddesses and Iceleomon, while everyone on fire support, Henry, Claire, Zari, Ninjamon, the newbies, and Iceleomon's wives, gradually started to congregate around us.

Only Frostladydevimon remained along with her icedevidramon, not including the one that ran off earlier. When she realized this she stopped for a moment and there was a brief ceasefire. Though we kept our distance as Phoebe took the lead.

"She's kind of hot." Phoebe said.

"She's strong though, too, she kicked me earlier, it hurt." Kitty replied.

"And she's evil hello? Pheebles?" Saphy said as if they both needed to be reminded.

"Pheebles stay focused." I replied.

"I am." Phoebe said.

"I never thought one of the chosen would be a dead ringer for the dark empress. " The frozen succubus of a digimon said.

"Are you a lieutenant? " Phoebe asked.

"Where's IceDaemon?" Kitty asked.

The wicked witch of a digimon dismounted her steed.

"I am basically a lieutenant yes, Icedaemon is in the frozen city with the rest of the dark loyalty, but you probably knew already. " She replied.

"Stay back." Phoebe said as everyone took aim at her.

"Tell me when you want us to fire." Henry said.

Iceleomon's wives were doing all they could to keep him from running up there and punching her. It was kind of touching how he let them restrain him, it was obvious he could overpower them if he wanted.

"Let's see what we can get out of her first." I replied.

"Which one of you has duskmon's data?" The witch asked.

"Huh?" Kitty asked.

"They don't, we destroyed duskmon before we even met them." Phoebe said.

"Except you didn't, because they want me to find him." Frostladydevimon replied.

"Oh Arceus." Phoebe said.

"What?" I asked.

"What does that even mean?" Frostladydevimon asked.

"Nothing, I just realized something I'll tell you later." Phoebe said to me telepathically.

"Why can't you tell me now?" I thought.

"Phoebe you ok?" Zari asked.

"Because we're still in a battle now shh." Phoebe said.

"Um, I don't know, but she says it a lot." Henry yelled to keep things going as Phoebe zoned out to converse with me.

"Did you literally just ask me to stop thinking?" I thought.

"Wait no, nevermind I'll just tone you out." Phoebe replied.

"Ok, you do that." I thought.

"Ok, so which one of you has his data?" The witch repeated herself.

"You're surrounded, you don't get to ask questions." Phoebe said.

"Awe you're back." Zari said.

"I was talking to CJ about some things." Phoebe said.

"Oh, ok." Zari replied.

"Yes I may be surrounded now, but I'll have backup arriving any minute now, hand over whoever has duskmon's data, and I'll let you escape.

"We don't know where it went, we can't absorb it, we're humans and we didn't have any digimon with us when we defeated him." Phoebe lied.

"Then what happened to it?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know." Phoebe lied.

"Hey Kitty?" I asked, trying to keep her distracted so she didn't ruin whatever Phoebe was trying to do.

"Yeah?" She asked.

"Are you feeling ok you got thrown around quite a bit earlier are you sore anywhere?" I asked.

"I'll be fine, why didn't you ask earlier?" She asked.

"I didn't think about it until now." I replied.

"Well let's get you healed before those reinforcements get here. Come on." I said.

"Ok." She replied.

"What are you doing?" Phoebe asked, once again telepathically.

"Keeping her busy so she doesn't accidently expose your lies." I replied.

"Oh, ok then." She replied.

"Well if you don't have it then some random digimon must have passed by and taken it. Unless of course you're lying." Frostladydevimon said.

"No, we honestly don't know what happened to it, we now know it's probably still out there somewhere but we don't know where it is at all." Phoebe said.

"Interesting story, here's another. Did you know all the dark rulers are fully connected to each other? As long as they're conscious that is. According to Master Icedaemon a blacklilymon had it, and you didn't kill her as he can still sense her presence, but instead you've hidden her out here somehow, so where is she?" Frostladydevimon said.

"You'll never find her. We have her safely hidden and we're going to take all your masters out before finding a way to save her." Phoebe said, lying of course as she really was just sleeping on the bus.

"Guys, more enemies inbound, 3'o'clock." Henry yelled.

"Well if you won't tell us, we have other ways of getting information." Frostladydevimon said.

"Sex?" Phoebe asked.

"What?" Frostladydevimon said.

"Phoebe!" Saphy scolded her.

"Oh I was just joking Saphy. You know it's sad though . . . . . . . you are kind of cute . . . . . . . Cj would enjoy you. " Phoebe said with a sigh and several awkward pauses as she used her telepathy at the same time to tell everyone else she could reach to get ready to fire. She quietly took Saphy's hand as everyone else ran towards cover, spread the word to those she couldn't reach, and took aim at the frozen witch.

"I, what are you even saying? You're a really weird human." FrostLadydevimon said.

"Ok let's just go!" Phoebe said before teleporting away, taking Saphy with her, and signaling the firing squad to open fire,

"What? This is impossible." Frost lady devimon said as she closed her wings to try to shield her face from the incoming wall of bullets. She slowly stumbled back towards her IceDevidramon . As an ultimate the bullets didn't hurt her that much but they did keep her distracted.

"It isn't if you're not a human after all." Phoebe said after teleporting back in behind and slightly above her with several of her shurikens drawn.

Saphy proceeded to surround her and her icedevidramon with water which, like the ice devimon before ended up turning to ice and freezing her solid

"Sorry master, I failed you." Frostladydevimon said, realizing her fate, before being frozen completely, shortly before the multitude of bullets, Dianamon's arrows, lasers from the injured but still alive mechanorimon, a punch from IceLeomon, a slash from mervamon's sword, and a lot of Phoebe's shurikens cut her and her icedevidramon to pieces, destroying both of them almost instantaneously. With everybody attacking her at once FrostLadydevimon was pretty much annihilated without much of a chance to counter attack and with only a minute to spare before her reinforcements arrived.

"I was worried that wouldn't be enough to defeat her, but it looks like it worked. Don't absorb her data Saphy. Take her dragon's, but not hers." Phoebe said.

"Are you sure about that? I get it, she was kind of cute, but come on. You want her on the bus with us?" Saphy asked.

"Fuck what'd we miss?" I said as I came running over to her with Kitty after hearing all the gunfire.

"We defeated the witch." Iceleomon replied.

"Yes, swiftly and mercilessly." Mervamon added.

" We killed her and more enemies are coming so get ready to not get hurt." Phoebe replied.

"She won't let me absorb her data, because she was too cute." Saphy said.

"Really Pheebles, it just, there, there's no line for you is there?" I asked.

"Oh come on." Phoebe said.

"You have a project girl already, why do you need another?" I asked, jokingly.

"What? You mean Darkvioletmon?" Phoebe asked.

"And let's face it you have plans for Blacklilymon too." I said.

"We'll talk about this later there's enem, KITTY WHAT ARE YOU DOING? NO! STOP! BAD KITTY!" Phoebe asked as Kitty already started to absorb her data.

"Cj said I was supposed to help keep you under control, you're out of control. This isn't a good idea, you know it, if we take her with us and she wakes up she could attack and hurt somebody." Kitty said.

"Ummmm." I said, unsure, as I didn't really expect her to do that.

"Cj." Phoebe said, very annoyed, as she stared daggers at me.

"I didn't tell her to do that. Can't blame her for it either though. I mean come on what was your plan with this? We still have a few hours to go before we reach the icey village, at a minimum." I replied.

"Oh well, surely there's others, maybe ones that aren't so evil." Phoebe said with a sigh.

"No freaking duh." Saphy said.

"But that wouldn't be as hot." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles, you're more of a mess than Kitty right now you know that?" I asked.

"She is?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah." I replied.

"If it hurts you that much I can put it back. It hasn't assimilated yet, that takes a while. " Kitty said.

"No, it's fine, it's probably a bad idea anyway, I'm tired, Cj is right I am a mess." Phoebe said.

"Well ok then." Kitty said as she went back to absorbing her data.

"Maybe you should argue about this later?" IceLeomon asked.

"Yeah I'm out of here before they get too close and get to Venusmon before I do." Mervamon said before heading for cover.

"Oh fuck, there's more enemies coming, let's go." I said.

"If you kill another ladydevimon, maybe don't absorb her data?" Phoebe asked.

"No, we're not doing that. Come on Kitty let's go." I replied before we split up to get ready to fight.

"Right." Kitty replied.

"Oh, come on." Phoebe begged.

"No Pheebles, I know we're both tired, but try to behave." I replied before we got too far apart.

"Did I mess up?" Kitty asked once we were a bit further away.

"No, you're fine, sometimes I swear it's a miracle that woman hasn't cheated on me yet." I replied.

"She'd never do that, she loves you." Kitty said.

"I know, but she can't keep it in her pants either." I said.

"She doesn't wear pants." Kitty replied, confused.

"It's just a saying Kitty." I replied.

"Oh, ok." She said.

We ended up not coming across another one that day anyway. The incoming group consisted entirely of more icedevidramon being ridden by icedevimon. A handful of icedevimon on foot, and a pair of mammothmon showed up later.

We let the goddesses and IceLeomon deal with the mammothmon while the icedevimon alone were pretty trivial at this point. With a painful, but survivable ranged attack which they rarely used on the ground because even they knew this, and a lethal, but very well telegraphed melee attack, they just weren't that strong on their own. When paired with Icedevidramon, however, that melee attack becomes a lot harder to avoid and their combined ranged attacks have basically twice the firepower.

Phoebe had to keep babysitting Saphy through these fights, but she was getting better at using her abilities, which at this point seemed to cater more towards close range immobilization via water creation and manipulation, and long range damage via her water jets. Her trident would give her passive melee abilities, if she could learn how to wield it effectively. The enemies we were fighting now are naturally cold and tend to freeze the water she creates on contact, further exacerbating her ability to immobilize them. It wasn't quite cold enough that they would shatter if the ice was broken though.

The mammothmon were an unwelcome surprise, but the rest of the battle played out allright. Eventually the last enemy fell just like all the others we had fought before, we gathered everything up, patched up the newbies mechanorimon with the healing paste, located the data clouds of the goddesses and waited for them to wake up, and tiredly returned to our vehicles once everyone was able to continue.

"Another day another battle." Phoebe said as we headed towards the bus together.

"Yeah I guess so, atleast Bacchusmon's city will be safe now that they know we're further north than there.

"Too bad we didn't come across another lady devimon." Phoebe said.

"You're still going on about that? After last night?" I asked.

"Yeah, you're right, it was a dumb idea. Let's not talk about it anymore. Anyway you did pretty good out there and you didn't even get hurt this time, so are you ready for your reward?" Phoebe asked.

"Still sore, from last night. Remember last night?" I said.

"Yeah, you and Zari." Kitty replied.

"Not now Kitty Kat." I said.

"Well come shower with me real quick, I'm kind of sore too, we'll heal each other up. Kitty you can wait on the bed for us, Saphy you're probably driving again right?" Phoebe said as we stepped back onto the bus.

"I guess so." Saphy replied.

"So, you're going to get naked right now?" I asked. Once we made it to the back where nobody outside can see.

"Yeah, you can help if you want. Just one more round then we'll snuggle for a while I promise." She said.

"Just one, and only because I wanna feel closer to you. I'm still tired and that healing stuff won't help with that." I said.

"I want to feel closer too, and I'm kind of tired, so it will only be one round." Phoebe replied as she pulled me close.

"Ehem?" Kitty asked.

"We'll get to you when we get out of the shower, unless you want to try to stuff your big fluffy butt in there with us." Phoebe said.

"Nah, I'll just wait out here." Kitty said.

"That's what I thought. We won't leave you out like that right now, don't worry." Phoebe replied.

"Right now?" Saphy asked.

"Well, sometimes we're just going to need to be alone and she's just going to have to deal with it." Phoebe said.

"Allright, we just got done with one fight, we don't need to start another, let's get you naked Pheebles." I said.

"Kitty, you can wait, I know you, you have a lot more patience than her." I said.

"Yeah, ok." Kitty replied as she sat on the bed and curled up, apparently intending to take a nap.

"What are you guys doing?" Illustria asked as she and Chally entered the bus.

"We're just gonna take a quick shower to heal each other up. Then we might have some fun, how does that sound?" Phoebe asked as she took a jar of white digiroot paste off the cargo rack.

"Extremely irresponsible." Saphy said as she started the bus up and began to drive forward.

"Could you wait until we sit down first Saphy?" Chally asked, annoyed by the sudden acceleration of the bus.

"Sorry." Saphy replied.

"Well I didn't ask you I asked Lussy." Phoebe replied as I closed the privacy curtain before I pulled her close and kissed her and started helping her out of her dress.

"You know, you can play with my feet for a little bit when you get my boots off." Phoebe said as she sat on the bench behind the table.

"Eh, we'll just make this quick ok? I said.

"Ok, if that's what you want." S2he replied.

" I'll just wait till you're in the shower to go back there then." Illustria said.

"I thought you said you wanted to make this quick?" She asked as I took a moment to fondle her pretty little feet.

Eventually that mess all came and went, then I slept for a couple hours while snuggling with my baby girl, then we eventually got dressed, out of bed and started playing cards with the others, finally feeling half way back to normal.

"Saphy are you getting tired of driving yet? I'm getting tired of fucking and cards maybe we could switch soon?" Chally asked.

"No more sex for today, Jesus Christ this is getting to the point to where it's almost like Kitty and I after our first few weeks alone in space." I said.

"You don't know what it's like up there, alone, it pales in comparison to this. If we didn't find Zari when we did we probably would've gone insane. It starts to lose meaning after a while Pheebles, you gotta understand that by now. There were stories like that all the time, they'd find ships just drifting out in the middle of nowhere, and inside there would just be a handful of people, sometimes just a couple, huddled together naked, on the verge of starvation, completely and utterly out of it. It never got that bad for us. We didn't have drugs, we had other things to last us a bit longer, we had a ship big enough to play hide and seek in, I had a pool, she had her plants, we had tv when we were close to stations, but some people go out there in just a four seater heavy fighter, with maybe a couple weeks of food at most, they shoot up, they get lost because those ships don't have the radar the bigger ones do, they lose their clothes and they just fuck each other until they die basically, and it's just, it's a miracle some were even able to be rehabilitated, not from the drugs as they usually burn through their supply by then, but just from the isolation. It's a miracle someone even found them alive, there's just as many stories of others being found too late." I said.

"You were by yourself and pretty much wired to your machine though. You had military grade radar scanning and mind control technology we couldn't get access to no matter how hard we tried, but mostly, you're you and you're just completely amazing when you want to be." I said.

"He said pirates wouldn't be caught dead operating in that area. Too many vigilantes. And if the ship was destroyed, it would have automatically sent out an SOS signal when the reactor went critical, or somebody would find the radiation cloud." Challey said.

"Black hole?" I suggested.

"None known to be in the area, and he didn't have enough fuel to jump anywhere too far away." Challey said.

"Fighters can't jump very far to begin with, if they even can at all." I said.

"His had a jump drive." Challana said.

"Must not be ex-military then." I said.

"No, it was kind of a custom job." Challana said.

"Why don't they have jump drives?" Phoebe asked.

"Military fighters never have jump drives, they aren't really expected to operate too far from their carrier. But there's a bunch of other options on the market that can be spec'd out with one. That ship you stole didn't have one." I said.

"I see." Phoebe replied.

"But even so you'd think his ship would eventually turn up at another station to get supplies." Chally said.

"Yeah, it sounds like he definitely went missing atleast, I don't know, hell knows what's even out there." I replied.

"Anybody else got any weird stories? " I asked after a period of silence.

" Don't we have some?" Phoebe asked.

"There was that time we went to Lav . . . . " I began to say.

"No! Not that again!" Phoebe interrupted me.

"Where's Lav? " Kitty asked.

"Just let it go Kitty." Phoebe said.

"That's where you met Cubey." I pointed out.

"Well, yeah, but, everything before that point was horrible and creepy." Phoebe said.

"What about that chateau in eterna forest?" I asked.

"Too creepy." Phoebe replied.

"What about it?" Illustria asked.

"It was haunted." I said.

"Like really?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah, some little girl accidently killed her mother I think." I replied.

"Yeah and she pinned it on the butler, and then went crazy and tried to kill her father, but the butler's ghost accidently killed her first." Phoebe said.

"The ghost accidently killed her?" Challana asked.

"Yeah, this all happened before revives were a thing and people used to die all the time." Phoebe replied.

"There was also that creepy ghost pokémon that followed us home to get to Nina." I said.

"Yeah and we dealt with him appropriately." Phoebe replied.

"So ghosts are just a thing in your universe?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah, kind of, it's complicated." I said.

"There's a chance people and other pokémon can become various ghost pokémon after dying, but the criteria for them to do so as well as what dictates what pokémon they will become, isn't something that's known by science. For instance while it's generally accepted that only females can become misdreavuses, they could just as easily become a gastly, or they could just pass on and not become anything at all. "Phoebe explained.

"Then there's the artificial ghost pokémon which aren't technically ghosts at all such as Rotom, Gollet, and Golurk, they behave a lot like ghosts but were created through scientific means. And then there's pokémon like Frillish and Jellicent and um, are they ghost fish or just fish fish?" I asked.

"Ghost tentacool." Phoebe suggested.

"Why would they get a specific ghost, of all pokemon?" I asked.

"I don't know, why are there ghost pokemon?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't know." I replied.

"Um what are any of these things?" Illustria asked.

"Yeah are you going to explain?" Chally asked.

"Gastly is like a floating orb of gas with a face, tentacool is a jellyfish with eyes, gollet and golurk are like, ghost robots, pretty cool actually, rotom is like a living spark of electricity, Nina has one, it's pretty cool, it can possess small appliances and stuff and can have a very wide range of abilities. We actually found it in that chateau, and brought it back for her." I said.

"And it's cute." Phoebe said.

"Yeah it is kind of cute and kind of weird, like um, talking to a floating microwave weird." I agreed.

"Or an rc car, or a fan, or a phone, or.", Phoebe began to list things.

"Pretty much anything with an electric motor or circuitry." I cut her off.

"Yeah, pretty much." Phoebe agreed.

"And then that device becomes way more powerful than it was initially, it can hover around and shoot lightning bolts at everything and can even be quickly repaired with potions if damaged." I said.

"As long as a rotom is possessing it anyway." Phoebe said.

"True." I replied.

"So it's like an electric ghost?" Chally asked.

"Yeah, kind of, not a true ghost though just a ghost type. Some scientist figured out how to create them." I said.

"So pokemon can be created?" Chally asked.

"Yeah, most people don't know how though, including us." Phoebe said.

"Well there was that one machine we found where we made those robots." I said.

"Whatever happened to those?" Phoebe asked.

"They were weird, I don't think they even had a personality per se, and I think their balls are still in our closet at home. If I remember correctly. We don't really know what we were doing when we made them or if they even really count as pokemon." I replied.

"No idea. They were useful at the time." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, I'm not sure I'd really trust them around the kids though." I said.

"Yeah, although it's more like I wouldn't trust Nina around them." Phoebe replied.

"How long do you think it would take for her to set the whole timber on fire?" I asked.

"I don't know, but she'll probably find a way." Phoebe replied

A brief period of silence took hold.

"So what was your home like before all this happened? How did you end up like this?" Illustria asked.

"We lived in a house with our kids, Nina goes to school every day, and Corina looks after Charley while we help James or Melissa or Dr. Black with whatever they're doing." Phoebe said.

"There's this weird guy, I think he can travel through time and dimensions and stuff, I don't know how, we've seen him only a handful of times before, but he told us this would all happen a day in advance. Not the part about being gone for over 100 years but the part about ending up in another dimension. He said there were important things we had to do while on this journey, this stuff with deusmon may even be one of them, but who knows, and he said if we do this and make it halfway across the multiverse, he'll take us back home." I said.

"Is he like a god?" Challana asked.

"Not unless god looks like some sort of disheveled scientist." I replied.

"What about us, do we just go with you?" Illustria asked.

"I would assume, I have no idea." I said.

"Or do you want to go to your home?" Phoebe asked.

"Before war broke out? Yeah, that'd be great. As it was when I left, no, never. Can he take me to a dimension where the war never happened?" Illustria replied.

"No, idea, but you can take that up with him when we find him again." I said.

"What about you Chally?" Phoebe asked.

"No, not a chance, now that I know there's so much more, if I ever go back to my parents it would be just to say goodbye." Challana replied.

"What about the other newbies?" Phoebe asked.

"I think Kiera would want to go back, with the way she keeps talking about her family, Selly I don't know." Illustria replied.

"So we'll get to meet this guy?" Chally asked.

"If you all make it yeah, I mean, I hope you all do, and we'll do our best to insure that, but, after Deusmon who knows what we'll be up against." I said.

"A giant oran berry?" Phoebe joked.

"What are you going to eat the whole thing?" I asked.

"Probably, I miss them so much." She replied.

"What if it tries to eat you?" Chally asked.

"Does it have a mouth?" Kitty asked.

"I'll just put it to sleep." Phoebe said.

"It has a brain?" I asked.

"It's a giant, sentient, evil oran berry from another reality, why not?" Phoebe asked.

"Why is it evil?" Kitty asked.

"Because it wants to, um, turn everyone into juice?" Phoebe asked.

"Why?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know." Phoebe said.

"What would you have it do Kitty Kat?" I asked.

"Die horribly in a fire because it's evil." Kitty replied.

"Awwwe, but I want to eat it." Phoebe said.

"Well you can have some." Kitty replied.

"But most is going to die in a fire?" Challana asked.

"Yeah." Kitty said enthusiastically.

"What if it eats you first?" Phoebe asked.

"Then I will hold still and cut my way out when it swallows me, right Cj?" Kitty asked.

"Huh?" I asked, as she was referring to something I had helped her learn way back in USC training many, many years ago, of course most people are instructed to use a standard issue combat knife to cut their way out, not their own claws, but the standards are accommodating. I don't remember a situation ever arising where it was necessary, as it was more of something that would happen within the wilderness of a planet, and we were mostly operating in space to the point where our ship was only ever planet side once throughout its entire existence, when it was scrapped, but apparently it was common enough problem for troops operating planet side it made it into the training program.

"What?" Phoebe asked.

"Like Jimo?" Challana asked.

"Who?" Illustria asked.

"There's a myth about this fisherman named Jimo that got swallowed by a fish, and survived in it's stomach for an entire week before he was able to cut himself out it, as he cut his way out, it killed the fish and caused it to rise to the surface, belly up.

"How did he keep breathing?" I asked.

"Well, it's just a myth, so, yeah." Challana replied.

A little while later, Chally switched places with Saphy, and a little while after that we made it to the Icey village, where we would wait a bit for reinforcements.

"Well, it looks like nearly every other village we've come across up here." I said.

"Not for long." Henry said.

"Here we go." Claire said.

"I've been thinking, since we're going to need something to do anyway. The maker machines still work, we can fortify the hell out of this place in case we get attacked while we're here." Henry said.

"He's been talking about this since the last battle." Claire said.

"Sounds kinda fun eh?" Ninjamon asked.

"So what do you wanna do?" I asked.

"Well we can start by boarding up all the windows, on all the buildings we can fit inside anyway. I thought about setting up some pitfalls, but it could take a while to dig the pits by hand."

I sent out Rhyhorn and Rocky, my rhyhorn, obviously, and a golem, respectively.

"See what you can do with these two they're both ground type." I said.

"Golem?" Rocky seemed to ask.

"What is your task Cj?" Phoebe translated.

"No battles today, so you can relax, we just need you to dig some holes, I think you both have met Henry before by now, so um, yeah, he'll give you further instructions." I said.

"Golem go golem." He replied.

"He wants to know why there hasn't been any battles in a while." Phoebe translated.

"Because we have limited healing items and digimon are just too powerful, I've been trying to keep you all somewhat safe from them." I said.

"Golem." He replied.

"He says he understands." Phoebe said.

"What is he thinking though Pheebles?" I asked.

"Um. They're both a bit confused about where they are since you haven't sent them out in a while, but otherwise, they're allright, as long as you're ok." Phoebe said.

"The snow doesn't bother them?" I asked.

"Rocky is fine, he's a mountain pokemon after all, Rhyhorn is a bit chilly, but I think he'll be fine unless he starts shivering." Phoebe said.

"His tiny nutpea brain will ignore it until it gets bad." She elaborated to me telepathically.

"Allright then, here's his ball, return him if he starts shivering. And keep them both away from water!" I replied.

"Ok." Henry replied.

"I guess we'll start boarding up windows then?" I asked.

"I guess so." Phoebe said.

"Let's go to the maker machines then we'll get more organized." Henry suggested.

"Yeah, allright." I said as we all started to head that way.

"I don't see the point, they're going to be coming for us, not the village." Mervamon said.

"It's to make it easier and safer to defend. We're going to be here a few days until Bachusmon's army arrives, we're going to need to hold this place if we get attacked." Dianamon replied.

"Anything to help Cj." Venusmon said.

"We really need to break you of that." Dianamon said.

"We've gone over this before, you are a goddess, he is not, you can't be with him." Mervamon said.

"And he's already married, and he already has a digimon, and ." Dianamon said.

"I know, but, I've never felt this way before." Venusmon said.

"Yeah, well, we both have and we know you're setting yourself up for a lot of heartache. So for your own good, get over him." Dianamon said.

"And now we're going to show you all how digimon make most of their villages. Unlike the terminal cites, villages like this are much more common and dot the landscape, some surround natural landmarks or phenomenon, but others, like this one, literally seem to be out in the middle of nowhere for no particular reason. You can see that they build buildings in a primitive style, Cj says it's colonial, but you know his world is different, I don't know what the equivalent for our world would be. Most of these we have come across so far have been abandoned and that seems to be the case with this one as well." Phoebe said after she got her camera out again and started recording.

"Zari, how have you been?" I asked.

"Good, it's only been a few hours." Zari replied.

"Cj, keep your distance." Phoebe said, pausing her recording for a moment.

"We can still talk." Zari said.

"Yeah it's going to be ok Pheebles." I said.

"Cj, can we talk?" Phoebe asked.

"What do you want to talk about?" I asked.

" I don't know, but you know you can't be with her." Phoebe said.

"I know." I replied.

"And you know you love me more." She continued.

"Mhm." I replied.

"So you need to keep your distance." Phoebe said.

"I am, I just asked her how things were going. We're not like having a deep conversation or anything." I said.

"Well talk to me instead." Phoebe asked.

"You don't even know what you want to talk about." I replied.

"Well just walk with me and Kitty then while I record some stuff." Phoebe said.

"Oh allright, you sweet little thing." I said.

"Thankyou." She replied.

"Well, you guys know those mechs aren't too comfortable you know?" Zari said.

"Well, I guess you can ride on the bus again when all the newbies have a turn. Hopefully that will be enough time for you and Cj to drift apart a little bit." Phoebe said.

"Maybe, maybe not. 100 years wasn't enough for you." Zari said.

"Well, yeah, because he's my Cj." Phoebe replied.

"I could never forget you either baby girl." I replied.

" I bet it drove Ronnie crazy." Phoebe said.

"At times, yeah." I replied.

"Mhm, and me." Kitty agreed.

"You too?" Phoebe asked.

"She wouldn't do this, she wouldn't do that, lalala I'm not Phoebe get over it." Kitty said.

"Haven't had an argument like that in forever." I said.

"I know, but it happened." Kitty said.

"And now you keep throwing other women in my face and all I want to do is get close to you again." I said.

" Well we gotta pass time on the bus somehow, it'll be better when we get back home, I promise." Phoebe said.

"Ok." I agreed.

"And we still have a lot of nights together." Phoebe said.

"Also true." I replied.

"And the mornings." She said.

"Yep." I agreed.

"And me." Kitty said.

"And you sometimes. And once we're back home and settled in, you'll be begging for some new girls." Phoebe joked.

"Yeah, right. You might, maybe, I was always fine with just you." I replied.

"I know Cj." Phoebe replied.

"Maybe Saphy and Chally can have turns in the mechanorimon as well?" I asked.

"Chally maybe, because it's colder up here, Saphy no, she has powers." Phoebe said.

"And Zari and Lussy can't be on the bus at the same time because somebody needs to lead them." I said.

"Right, so maybe in a couple days you can ride on the bus again Zari. Now, no more love and sex talk I'm going to start recording again." Phoebe replied.

"Ok." Zari said, affirmatively.

Eventually we made it to the maker machines and everyone started collecting wooden planks, screws, and drills which also had infinite batteries.

"The digimon get all their materials from these machines that make various objects out of raw resources through means that aren't quite understood. Because this is a digital world, objects and even digimon themselves aren't exactly bound by the laws of physics. So an entire factory can fit inside this ATM-sized machine. You can see all the raw materials they gather are stored in here too, such as various metal ores, mushrooms, digiroots, wood, sand, and even just dirt!" Phoebe said as she narrated her video.

"Pheebles, you wanna help carry some stuff?" I asked.

"Like what stuff?" She asked.

"Is a box of screws and maybe a couple planks too much?" I asked.

"No, I got it, don't worry." She replied.

The place was pretty well stocked with logs, ore, and other materials since the dark rulers were only interested in the resident's data anymore. We made and collected a bunch of planks, a box of screws, and some nifty drills with infinite batteries, and then I set out with my ladies in search of a house to fortify as everyone else did the same and split into smaller groups. Zari, Saphy, and Chally teamed up, then there were the usual teams of Iceleomon and his wives, and the newbies and goddesses. Henry, Claire and Ninjamon took some different materials and went to set up traps around the perimeter of the village instead. DarkVioletmon went and disappeared to who knows where like she tends to do.

-a few hours later-

We were done boarding up the windows of the house we picked out. Phoebe could carry a few as well with her powers, but she was kind of preoccupied with recording the whole thing. Earlier we found a heater and got it running, so it was pretty warm inside now. Kitty and I screwed most of the boards down, after she switched to her Lilithmon form, while Phoebe used her powers to hold them up while she recorded us.

"Allright, that's the last window, let's take a break." I said as I layed down on the bed, which was normal sized, but comfortable.

"You gonna keep playing with that camera or are you going to come over here baby girl?" I asked.

"I'll come sit by you." Phoebe replied as she stopped recording and set the camera down on the kitchen table next to our coats.

"Can I?" Kitty asked.

"Of course, I was just going to ask you." I said as we took a moment to cuddle and admire our handiwork.

"You know Cj? We can have some fun in here since nobody can see in. I know what you said on the bus, but it'd just be us three this time." Phoebe said.

"No Pheebles, no more until tonight." I said.

"Oh, ok, we should probably go check on the others anyway." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah, we can't be in here screwing around when they're out there working." I said.

"Well come on ladies, as fun as it would be we can't just lay here the rest of the day." I said as I got up.

"Yeah, come on Kitty, we should probably atleast try to look busy." Phoebe said.

"Ok." She replied as she got up as well.

Phoebe unlocked the door once we were all dressed and we headed back out to check on the others.

Allright I'm going to start recording again, so you two, no naughty talk." Phoebe said as she turned her camera back on.

"Where are we going to go?" I asked her.

"Why don't we check on Henry and your pokémon?" Phoebe asked.

"Ok, let's do that then, while you record the same buildings we passed by earlier to get to the house." I replied.

"Well I need to show the one the newbies are working on to show how they've been fortifying it." Phoebe said.

"Can't be much different from ours." I said.

"Well look and see." Phoebe said.

I looked and saw that they decided that one single board placed diagonally across each window, not the worst way to fortify it, but far from the best.

"ehh, yeah, they might need to work on that a bit." I said.

"Yep." Phoebe agreed, as Kitty, presumably out of curiosity, went and pried one of the boards off with her bare hands.

"Really Kitty?" I asked.

"I just wanted to see how well it was attached." She replied.

"Do they have more boards on the inside?" I asked.

"I don't think so. I think Selly is mad at me." Kitty replied as we could faintly hear her say something we couldn't quite make out.

"Kitty why did you do that? Oh you guys are here too." Illustria said as she popped out of the doorway.

"You know you gotta use more boards than that? One per window isn't going to cut it. You saw how easily she just ripped it off. " I said.

"You told her to do that?" Illustria stared daggers at me.

"No, but still. If she was an enemy you'd be goners" I replied.

"We'd have guns." Illustria defended.

"You'd have more than her alone just trying to come in." I said.

"An army of Kittys?" Kiera asked.

"Mhm." Kitty replied.

"Better throw out a bunch of rings." Selly joked.

"Hey!" Kitty said, somewhat offended.

"More than 2 screws per board would help too. Cj used 6." Phoebe added.

"Really?" Lucy asked.

"Yeah you got that whole box, don't be stingy with them." I agreed.

"And there's still plenty of ore left in storage to make even more." Phoebe added.

"Well we don't have powers like you guys do so it takes us a bit longer. Even just to get enough planks over here." Illustria said.

"Kitty why don't you go help them with that then hey?" I asked.

"Ok." Kitty replied.

"Then check on Zari's group too and help them if they need it." I said.

"Well what are you going to do?" Kitty asked.

"Check on Henry's progress, and Cj's pokémon." Phoebe replied.

"Ok, see you later then I guess." Kitty replied somewhat annoyed.

"Oh quit acting like I'm not going to see you for the rest of the day." I said as I squeezed her affectionately.

"Yeah, we love you, don't worry." Phoebe added before we headed off without her.

"Do you really love her yet?" I asked once we were far enough away that she couldn't hear us.

"Cj it's going to take some time. But you know why I say it, it makes her feel better." Phoebe replied.

"As long as you don't do the same to me." I said.

"I can't Cj, I genuinely love you more than anything." She said as she cuddled me.

"Are you still recording?" I asked.

I cuddled her back and kissed her on the cheek as we kept walking and we didn't really need to say anything more. Everything was blissful until we made it over to where Henry, Claire, Ninjamon, Rocky and Rhyhorn, the 2 pokemon I lent him, were working.

" Rhyhorn, you think you're about ready to evolve yet?" I asked.

He looked at me like the question completely went over his head.

"Never mind, we're not doing gym battles anymore you can take all the time you need." I said.

"He can evolve further?" Henry asked, as Rhyhorn, which can healthily weigh over 500lbs aren't small pokemon by any means.

"He's pretty big already." Claire added.

"Yeah actually, but it's really slow for them." I said.

"It actually takes so long for them to evolve naturally that wild Rhydon are extremely rare because in the wild, they usually don't survive that long." Phoebe said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah, they usually end up getting sick, and unable to keep up with their herd, and then a pack of Scythers or Dorapions or other big predator pokemon will single them out and eat them." Phoebe said.

"But Dorapion is a poison type." I said.

"Yeah, and Rhyhorns have very thick skin, and are extremely resistant to poison, against a single dorapion they'd be able to handle it as it can't get it's fangs through its back, but you know by now they have their weak points, their eyes, and their belly, and when one is surrounded by half a dozen Dorapions it can't protect both for long. " Phoebe said.

Rhyhorn seemed to cower a bit. Rocky just kept working.

"Well don't scare him Pheebles, we don't need him running off again." I said.

"I know, I'm just saying. It's ok Rhyhorn there's no Dorapions here." Phoebe replied.

"A lot of pokemon aren't fans of dorapions actually. As ralts we're taught to stay away from them, and every gallade is ordered to kill them on sight, because they'll eat anything they can kill, including children." Phoebe said.

"They sound mean." Henry said.

"They are, here Cj, you record for a while I wanna tell a story." Phoebe said as she handed me the camera.

"Ok, what's your story?" I asked, vaguely curious.

"Did you know there's a myth that dorapions are the sole reason Gallades exist?" Phoebe asked.

"How was I supposed to know that?" I asked.

"Well, a really long time ago, like further than any records even exist, long before the gardevoir city as we know it was even established, back when there was only one colony, and Sinnoh was known as Hisui, a group of hungry dorapions nearly wiped it out. A small group of kirlia boys around the typical age of evolution, or atleast old enough to be reasonably expected to handle themselves, that happened to be learning how to hunt, pretty far away from the rest of the colony, were the only survivors, the shear intensity of the emotions that they felt on their return, and exposure to radiation from the dawn stones that were being used for purely ornamental purposes at the time, caused them to mutate into the first gallades." Phoebe said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Well nobody knows for sure, it's been lost to history. In some versions of the myth that seemed to be popular in hoen, a lone, elderly gardevoir, acting as their teacher was away with them, and survived also, but later sacrificed himself to give all his power to his pupils, further aiding in their mutation. Even after their lust for revenge was satisfied, he was not forgotten. For his wisdom and sacrifice, he became known as Galadeos, father of all gallades, master of all hunters. To this day there are some in hoen who see him as a sort of deity second only to Arceus. It's not known exactly why he took hold there when dawn stones and thus gallades are rarer than diamonds in hoen. Most of the gallades there have usually been sent from Unova, Kalos, or even Sinnoh whenever they simply have too many.

"Do they get told they're gonna be sent if they choose that option?" I asked.

For a bit of a refresher, according to gardevoirian customs, male kirlias, upon turning 18, have the right to choose to become a gallade, and serve their respective village as a warrior, law enforcement officer, and security guard, against any kind of threat, or leave with the females in search of a trainer, only being allowed to return once they've become gardevoirs. Some end up finding a trainer, some end up finding success in other ventures in the human world and choose to stay there, in the distant past it was perfectly feasible for them to attempt to establish their own colonies. The only exceptions are made when an elder individual with an important role within the colony is looking to retire, then usually their apprentice, usually their child, but not always, will be exempt from this rite, but this is a rare occurrence and usually only applies to those fortunate enough to be firstborn. Phoebe is the princess of the gardevoir city, the largest colony in the Sinnoh region, and she didn't even get this option, because of her older brother, instead she took her mother's advice and signed up for Devon Co's experimental program, which itself eventually resulted in the disaster of 2012.

"Yeah, they usually have plenty of warning, they can even take their love interest along if they have one. It's not like they're kicked out they're just strongly urged to leave and in these modern times arrangements are made for travel. If you ever see a gallade at an airport or on a ship without any sign of a trainer, that's probably what's going on. He may or may not have a kirlia with him as well. Very, very rarely a gardevoir or a ralts." Phoebe said.

They'd still be around the same age of course. As age isn't equal to experience, and male kirlias can become gallades at any time provided they're exposed to a dawn stone.

"Let's get back to those myths you were talking about." I said.

"Well ok, In the old Unovian version, that dates back to the first known colonies in the white forest of Unova, Arceus himself witnessed the tragedy and created the dawn stones specifically for them so they could take revenge, there's a lot of variations, it was so long ago, so many colonies had been established and have fallen apart since then all over the world, and each one had their own variation of the myth." Phoebe said.

"Which one do you believe?" I asked.

"Well, I'm from Sinnoh, so, I don't know how much of it is true exactly, but all the colonies that existed when we left, last I knew they all basically agreed upon the basic version of the events, there was an attack, some kirlias survived and got really upset, dawn stones were involved, they became gallades to get revenge, and had a lot of children, so some females had to survive too, because when two different, but compatible pokemon breed the offspring inherits the mother's species. "So you have a whole entire civilization?" Henry asked.

"Mhm." Phoebe replied.

"Neat." Henry said.

"And she's got stories for days, I love that about her. I wish she'd do that more often." I said.

"Awwwe Cj, but you never ask." Phoebe replied.

"I don't know what to ask about." I said.

"Anyway Henry, how are your traps coming along?" Phoebe asked as she motioned for me to give the camera back to her.

"We started out using sharpened sticks but then I realized it'd be faster and probably more effective if we used cut metal pipes instead." Henry said. "Also if you see any sticks jutting out of the ground, stay away from them, tell the others too. I'm going to put one on the main path behind those posts over there that is just a decoy, so it's safe."

"But that's the entrance they're going to go for first. That's literally the first place there should be a trap." I pointed out.

"I know, that's why I'm going to put an actual pit further down the path, so hopefully before they get here they'll think the sticks mark the traps. I'll make it even more elaborate if we have time, but we'll just have to see. "Henry said.

"Where'd Kitty go?" Claire asked.

"She's helping the others with the fortifications." I said.

"Is it working out between you three?" Claire asked.

"We're making progress." Phoebe said.

"You told her you loved her." I said.

"I said that to make her feel better." Phoebe replied.

"You wanted her to feel better." I said.

"Because I like her." Phoebe said.

"Exactly." I replied.

"Yeah see, that's progress." She said.

"Yeah." I replied.

"Awwe, you two are just too cute sometimes." Claire said.

"Eh, mostly her." Ninjamon said.

"Yeah that's why I married her." I said.

"No it isn't." Phoebe replied.

"Well still." I said.

"Goofball." She replied.

"The way you know your way around Kitty though is kind of adorable too Cj." Claire said.

"Well now you're embarrassing him, stop it, that's my job." Phoebe joked.

"Ok, ok." Claire replied.

"Should we check on Zari or the goddesses now?" I asked once I regained my composure.

" Where'd Darkvioletmon go?" Phoebe asked.

"You don't know?" Henry asked.

"No, do you?" Phoebe asked.

"Not a clue." Henry replied.

"Probably on a roof somewhere." I said.

"Maybe, she likes to have a good view of everyone else working but her." Phoebe joked.

"Yeah, pretty much." I replied with a laugh.

"Is that what she's been doing all this time?" Henry asked.

"I have no idea, maybe she's just completely spaced out most of the time." I said.

"I really, really wish she wasn't a digimon so I could read her mind." Phoebe said.

"But then she wouldn't be as much help in the battles." I said.

"When she decides to help." Phoebe said.

"She helped in the last one." I replied.

"True, now that we got her a coat she's been a bit more helpful." Phoebe said.

"You're going to set up some traps on the other side of the village too right?" I asked.

"Yeah, of course, if there's time." Henry replied.

"Good." I replied.

"You guys doing ok?" I asked my pokemon.

They nodded in return.

"Allright, good." I said.

"Maybe we should start making traps on the other side, we something to do." Phoebe suggested.

"I guess we could use Aggron." I said.

"Yeah, and I have Nidoqueen." Phoebe replied.

"Let's check on the others first, then we'll get the materials we need." I said.

"Ok." Phoebe replied.

"And probably pick up Kitty again so she can help carry stuff." I said.

"If she's not too busy now." Phoebe asked.

"You sure you can handle it?" Henry asked.

"Dig a hole? Fill it with spikes? And cover it up?" I asked.

"And whatever you do don't fall in one once you've made them, that's why I marked them. That way we know just to avoid the markers, not all of them will be traps but enough will be that they won't trust them." Henry replied.

"Right." I said.

"I'll make sure he won't, come on Cj, Let's go check on Zari and Chally, then we'll go back to work on the other side." Phoebe said.

"Allright if that's how you wanna do things, see you guys later I guess." I said as Phoebe already started to leave.

"Bye." Claire said.

"See ya." Ninjamon chimed in.

"Golem." Rocky said.

''Bye Rocky, Rhyhorn, keep up the good work." I said.

"Come on Cj." Phoebe said, now a fair distance away.

"Oh Pheebles, you can slow down a bit." I replied.

"There's work to do." Phoebe said.

"You realize we're going to be here for a few days." I replied.

"I know." Phoebe said.

"None of this is really urgent, we're just trying to keep occupied. We don't really even need fortifications." I said.

"Well still." Come on, Zari is in this house over here. You like her don't you?" Phoebe asked.

"Really? You're going to tease me about that?" I asked.

"Of course, you married me that means you like me more." Phoebe said as she playfully prodded me.

"I do love my sweet baby girl." I said as I pulled her close.

"Mmmmm, oh Cj, careful, I gotta keep filming." She said.

"Woah. Look at this house." I said as we came upon it. It looked like it was ready not just for a battle, but for Armageddon itself. The windows were boarded up, in about the same manner I had done, but were also rimmed with razor wire, something I didn't even think to do. The normal crude wooden door was replaced with a metal one, they were still working on some of the other windows, but it looked imposing from the front atleast.

"I guess this is the one Zari is working on." I said.

"What's with all the wires?" Phoebe asked.

"It's razor wire, I didn't even think of it." I said.

"What's it for though?" Phoebe asked.

"It cuts up your hands if you try to climb into the window and kind of messes up your clothes and stuff." I said.

"Well, you go knock I'll film." Phoebe said.

"Ok." I replied before heading up and knocking on the solid metal door.

"Password?" Zari asked as she opened up the little slot it had for a window, yes, it was one of those doors that usually only shady places have.

"What password? There's no password here." I said.

"Sorry, I just always wanted to do that." Zari said as she opened the door.

"What the hell where'd the interior go?" I asked as they had stripped the house of almost everything, even the non-essential walls.

"We used it for materials." Zari said.

"You don't want like a bed or something?" I asked.

"We'll get some in here before tonight. We have time." Zari said.

"He's impressed." Phoebe said.

"And you're not?" Zari asked.

"I am, I just . . . . ." Phoebe struggled to explain.

"She's jealous." I went and seized the moment to cut her off for once.

"No I'm not. I know you're mine." Phoebe replied as she huggled me.

"Ok well anyway, are you looking for Kitty?" Zari asked.

"Kind of, but not really, we kind of just came to check on you." Phoebe said.

"Well, she came in and just plopped down in the corner and went to sleep." Zari said.

"That is literally not at all what she's supposed to be doing." Phoebe said.

"Really?" Zari asked.

"We told her to help out Lussy and the newbies and then go see if you needed anything, she shouldn't even be over here." Phoebe said.

"I did help them. I brought them more planks, then they said they could handle the rest." Kitty said, annoyed and tired.

"And then you buggered off over here to take a nap?" I asked.

"No it just kind of happened like that, they said they'd send me to get more supplies in a bit so I had time to wait and nap." Kitty said.

"Well we need you back anyway, so fair enough." I said.

"Oh really?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah, so get up and get over here." I replied.

"Ok." She agreed.

"And she was your lieutenant." Zari said.

"Forty years ago. And it all turned out ok." I said.

"Well I guess you were with the U.S.C so." Zari said.

"Oh like that even matters anymore." I said.

"True." Zari replied.

"What were they even fighting about anyway?" Phoebe asked.

"Uninhabited planets and asteroids with lots of valuable resources." I said.

"Yeah basically." Zari agreed.

" A mining company would find some, lay claim, set up shop there and then whoever they weren't aligned with would eventually come along and try to encroach on them, they'd be forced to retreat because they don't have any actual warships, just some freighters and mobile refineries, but then whoever was allied with them would show up, and that's how you get massive battles in space. Because those mining companies pay a lot of taxes." I said.

"I see." Phoebe replied.

"Eventually those places get too expensive to keep fighting over, so one side eventually wins and just barely makes a profit, and then planets get settled or stations are built nearby them, and they kind of develop their own culture and civilization, which is great, until you know, a civil war occurs and half the planet wants to defect to the other side. Those are the worst because then battles start taking place on the planet itself as well as in space. It just never ends. A universe that big, there's always some sort of conflict going on somewhere. Of course we just keep stuff supplied, we were never on the frontlines. Seemed like it would be easier to find you that way since we needed to travel around a lot." I said.

"It's also safer." Phoebe said.

"Relatively yeah. Still had to deal with pirates on occasion, but yeah. We were never planet side brandishing laser rifles, charging towards hell knows what, tanks, mechs, mechanical centipedes, old west style gattling guns, if I found you earlier I would've let you talk to one of those guys, they have stories on stories. They never knew what exactly they're going to get beamed down into, just that it wants to kill them. " I said.

"Why didn't you?" Phoebe asked.

"They're all dead now." Kitty said.

"All the ones I retained contact with anyway. You know you really didn't need to remind me? Whenever they were on board their stories would make the week, even though they'd be back on their home ship within the next few hours or back at their base, and chances were we wouldn't see them again after that. As I said this wasn't a particularly common thing we were asked to do." I said.

"Sorry." Kitty replied.

"When did you come into contact with them?" Zari asked.

"If we were ever in the area and they needed pulled out we'd occasionally get asked to do it. It was about the scariest thing we ever had to do actually, head into LPO, beam them up, and get the hell out of there. All the while a Zelusian missile destroyer is looking at us very suspiciously. We're technically not a combat ship, so we knew they probably won't fire, but still, the whole time we have the jump drive pre-charged and we're waiting for the missile lock tone." I said.

"Ok enough memories we gotta build traps on the other side of town." I added after a brief moment of silence.

"You got any frontline experience Zari?" Phoebe asked.

"Planet side no, space side yes. Had to fight off a USC boarding party once, it wasn't fun at all. A lot of people died. I wondered if you knew them." Zari replied.

"I doubt it, we never did stuff like that, we did logistics, not combat ops. We may have swatted a few fighters, but that's about it. " I said.

"Well, sorry if you knew any of them anyway." She said.

"Same here. Hopefully we'll always be on the same side from now on." I replied.

"Hopefully." Zari replied.

"Ok that's enough, come on, we got a lot of supplies to gather. Come on." Phoebe said, not wanting us to get any mushier.

"Wait up." Kitty said as she started to follow her.

"Ok then I guess we're going." I said, half reluctantly.

"Have fun." Zari said.

"Eh, you never know with her." I said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Phoebe asked.

"Pretty much exactly what it sounds like, but you know I love you for the sweet little angel you usually are." I said.

"mmm, before we go, anymore praise you want to lavish on me in front of Zari?" Phoebe asked.

"Do you like her little grey boobs?" Zari asked.

"Zari, you know very well that, ok well maybe they aren't as big as yours but they get pretty big when they need to be." Phoebe said.

"If you say so." Zari replied.

Eh, I like them, they're fun, I get to feel them grow everytime." I said.

"Yeah see." Phoebe replied.

"Allright allright, I guess I'll see you later then." Zari said.

"Bye." Phoebe said, cutely and eagerly before the three of us left.

-A couple of hours later-

We had a lot of building tools and materials gathered up and were well at work.

Aggron and nidoqueen dug several holes pretty quickly, so now all we had to do was fill them with sharpened metal pipes and lay a tarp over them to hide them. Then we could place some sticks both to mark them and to act as decoys. The automatically regenerating snow did the rest, hiding the pits perfectly. Kitty started cutting the pipes since she could do it faster than we could even with some infinite battery jigsaws we had made. Phoebe and I shoved the pipes into the ground and put the tarps over the traps even as she recorded the whole thing.

We completed about half a dozen pits and were waiting around in the bottom of the latest one for Kitty to bring some more sharpened pipes over, when it happened.

"FUCK!" Kitty yelled, suddenly.

"Oh god, she didn't" I said as I looked at my beloved.

"FUUUUUUCCCCCCK!" She yelled in pain.

"GRON!" Aggron roared.

"NIDO NIDOQUEEN!" Phoebe's nidoqueen yelled.

"She did." Phoebe replied as our pokémon tried to get our attention.

"Awwwe fuck, Pheebles get the healing cream." I said as I climbed out and ran over to check on her.

"Arceus. " Phoebe said before teleporting away.

I looked into the pit for a brief moment and immediately looked away. I'll just summarize what I saw as if she weren't a digimon, she wouldn't still be alive, it was bad.

"Dammit Kitty I told you not to go near the sticks what the hell?" I asked.

She could only wimper in response.

"Hold on, I'll get you out of there." I said.

The quickest and most painless way to get her out of there was to recall her into the digivice, it wouldn't heal her but it wouldn't hurt her further. It was the first time I had to do that in a long time.

"I got the cream, how bad is it?" Phoebe said when she came back a minute later.

"We're going to need the whole jar. Don't read my mind, you don't wanna know." I replied.

"Is she going to be ok?" Phoebe asked.

"Well she's not a data cloud, so I guess, but she's hurt. I got her in the digivice, let's just get her back to the house." I said.

"Ok, come on Nidoqueen." Phoebe said as she returned her pokemon.

I went and returned Aggron as well.

The digivice beeped in a warning tone and said her health was low, which made sense for what I saw, up until now, I had never even seen that warning, as I said, I almost never put her in the digivice even though I always had it on me, unlike Phoebe's pokeball, I didn't destroy it because it was still incredibly useful to store items and weapons. I couldn't remember a single time I put her in it in the past century, there was never a reason to do so, but now getting her out of that pit sufficed.

We were back in the house we fortified earlier about a minute later.

I let her out on the floor, after the digivice thoughtfully warned me about her low health again and we immediately started to rub the cream on her as she started bleeding profusely.

"This is the worst pain ever. You don't even . . . . you can't . . . . even, owwwww fuck ." She whined.

"Just hold still babe let the stuff work, you'll be fine, you're not a data cloud yet." I said.

"Too much blood." Phoebe said.

"She's a digimon, she has no vitals, but yeah, this is bad." I said.

She started to calm down as she started to heal.

"It's gone, no more pain." She said after sitting up and taking a moment to breathe even the blood puddle began to fade away.

"You gotta be more careful babe." I said.

"I'm sorry." She said as she hugged me tight.

"I'm not the one that nearly just died." I said.

"I would've been fine since you're fine, but that hurt so much." Kitty said.

"You ever give birth?" Phoebe asked.

"Pheebles, Charley was a c-section." I said.

"Still." Phoebe replied.

"Pheebles she had like half a dozen pipes run through her at once." I said.

" I'm just going to stay in here for the rest of the day." Kitty said.

"Ok" I replied.

"But we need you to cut the pipes." Phoebe said.

"I don't want to see anymore pipes right now." Kitty said.

"If that happened to me I'd want to rest a bit too." I said.

"If that happened to you you'd be dead." Phoebe said.

"Same for you and we still wouldn't keep working either way." I replied.

"What would you do if it were me Cj?" She asked.

"Pheebles our Virara is traumatized, she needs us." I said, not wanting to ever consider that being a possibility.

"Oh allright." Phoebe replied.

"I kind of am a bit too, seeing her like that." I said.

"Now you know how I feel when you get hurt." She said.

"Pheebles, I've literally ne . . . . . . . . . . . ok, I've gotten pretty badly hurt before, but not that bad, and not recently." I replied.

"She didn't even turn into a data cloud, you've been inches from death before." Phoebe said.

"It still hurts Phoebe, even if it won't kill me." Kitty said.

"If anything it's even worse for her cause she has no nervous system that could shut down, she's fully conscious right up to the point she turns to data. Unless she's drunk, or asleep and you've had your share of close calls too, don't lie." I said.

"I feel all of it." Kitty replied.

"And you haven't been hurt like that in while, if ever, crazy how an enemy isn't responsible." I said.

"Mhm." Kitty replied.

"But you're definitely going to be more cautious around those traps now right?" I asked.

"Mhm." Kitty timidly replied.

"Good. Love you babe, I hate that this even happened in the first place." I said.

"Mhm, me too." Phoebe said.

"Thankyou sister." Kitty replied.

"We love you Kitty Kat." Phoebe said as hugged us both.

"Allright, you guys want to go back outside?" I asked.

"Not today." Kitty said.

"There's still plenty of daylight left though Kitty Kat." I replied.

"Go do what you want but I don't want to see another pipe for a while." Kitty said.

"Well I guess we could add razor wire to the house like Zari's group." I said.

"Maybe Bulby could cut the pipes, wait no, it's too cold out for him." Phoebe said.

"We could cut them by hand, but it takes a while." I said.

"I know, that's why I don't want to." Phoebe replied.

"Henry isn't doing it much faster." I said.

"Henry has Ninjamon cutting them for him." Phoebe said.

"He does?" I asked.

"Yeah, I saw him, he can cut them pretty fast too." Phoebe replied.

"With his shuriken?" I asked.

"No, with his sword thing." Phoebe said.

"Oh, well it's good he found a way to be helpful." I replied.

"Mhm, maybe they'll get a digivice soon." Phoebe said.

"Who do you think will get it?" I asked.

"Probably Henry." Phoebe replied.

We heard 3 loud knocks on the door.

"Who's that?" I asked.

"Saphy maybe?" Phoebe asked "They have to be a digimon, I don't hear them at all. I'll answer, you stay here with Kitty."

"Ok sure." I replied as she headed to the door.

She opened it to find an angewomon standing there, much to our surprise.

"Where'd you come from?" Phoebe asked.

"It's a long story." She replied.

"We've got a pretty long time to wait." Phoebe said.

"Is your digimon ok?" She asked.

"J think so, she's over helping Zari, Kitty is the one that just got hurt. She's fine, we healed her, why?" Phoebe asked unsure as to why she even showed up to begin with.

"I saw the warning message, on the digivice, it said her health was critically low." Angewomon explained.

"Um how? Wait are you Ophanimon?" Phoebe asked.

"No, I'm an angewomon, I used to serve under Ophanimon. I don't know where Ophanimon is now. I didn't even know any of the chosen were still alive until today." Angewomon replied.

"Well where have you been then?" Phoebe asked.

"Skyland, or what's left of it after IceDaemon attacked. Ophanimon fled along with some personal protection, a few other angemons and angewomons. I got momentarily trapped under some rubble, and I've been alone up there since. Everyone else was slaughtered for their data. "Angewomon explained.

"And you only came down just now?" Phoebe asked.

"I thought all hope was lost, so I figured if I'm going to go out, it might as well be in skyland, or what's left of it." She said.

"How'd IceLeomon get a digivice?" I asked as Kitty and I came over to see.

"That system has been fully automated since she left, you've probably figured out by now that most of the chosen are gone. So to compensate it will now just give a digivice to anyone able to establish a solid relationship with any digimon except for the olympos twelve, as they've been specifically blacklisted. Though what it considers a solid relationship to be is beyond me." She said.

"So you're her tamer?" Angewomon asked.

"Nobody really says that, but yeah." I replied.

"I'm their virara." Kitty said.

"Never heard that word before." Angewomon replied.

"It's complicated." Phoebe said.

"Any particular reason why you're here? How did you even get here if you were up there?" Phoebe asked.

"Same transport system Ophanimon can use. If I recite a certain spell I'll get transported back. Most of her systems still work, even though most of the city was wrecked." Angewomon replied.

"So you can take us to heaven is what you're saying?" I asked.

"Not heaven, sky land." Angewomon replied.

"I knew I saw that damned sky laser. Pity, I was hoping it'd be Ophanimon herself. I guess you'll make enough of an example. Tell me where she is and I'll make it quick." Mervamon said, already pissed off.

"I just told them, I don't know, the sky kingdom is in ruins, Ophanimon left months ago. I was the only left up there." Angewomon said.

"Slow and painful it is then." Mervamon said.

"Wait, sister." Dianamon intervened.

"What now Dianamon?" Mervamon asked.

What's the point of killing her, when Ophanimon might already be gone?" Dianamon asked.

"If Ophanimon is dead we'd be screwed because that means one or even all of those deusmon-worshiping freaks would've taken her ability to manipulate the background code of the digital world, like she took from us, they'd be nearly unstoppable." Mervamon said.

"And yet you plan on taking down our goddess?" Angewomon asked.

"I said nearly unstoppable, not completely, just because she can manipulate the code doesn't mean she knows all of it's ins and outs, not even Jupitermon knew, that's why it usually gets divided up among several capable digimon, who master their own parts of it, but ever since we defeated Cherubimon and Seraphimon, Ophanimon has had the goddess hood all to herself, but the idiot doesn't even know how to use most of it." Mervamon said.

"You didn't either." Angewomon pointed out.

"All she did was make that precious castle in the sky and then what? NOTHING, she killed Jupitermon and Junomon for that? Do you have any idea how evil she really is?" Mervamon asked.

"All she wanted, was peace." Angewomon replied.

"Bullshit. It was peaceful before she and the other three came along. Then again I wouldn't expect any less from one of her personal little whores." Mervamon said.

"You need help?" Phoebe asked.

"Why are they here?" Angewomon asked.

"We needed help." Phoebe said.

"So you went to them?" Angewomon asked.

"They agreed to help us fight Ophanimon after we kick Deusmon's ass." Mervamon said.

"Is that true?" The Angewomon asked in complete shock.

"Cj get behind Kitty." Phoebe said sternly.

"You get out of the doorway." I said, somewhat mockingly.

"Look just take my hand, I'll take us away from her, and then we can talk more civilly, is that ok?" Phoebe asked.

"Ok." Angewomon agreed as she took her hand, not quite knowing what she meant..

"Good let's go." Phoebe said before closing her eyes and teleporting them both away.

"Did she just, rrr, you've got to be kidding me." Mervamon said, still angry.

"She's not behind us. I don't know where she went." Dianamon said.

"Cj is she coming for us?" Venusmon asked.

"Why would he tell you?" Dianamon asked.

"Because we have a thing." Venusmon said.

"You do not have a thing." Dianamon said.

"They're just going to talk, relax." I said.

"I thought so." Venusmon replied.

"She's one of Ophanimon's whores, she's nothing but trouble." Mervamon said.

"Well if she pisses me off you can kill her, but right now we gotta see what she knows. The only reason she came here is because Kitty went and fell into one of the pit traps we were setting up along the perimeter." I said.

"Really?" Mervamon asked in disbelief.

"I was distracted, the pipes were slippery." Kitty said, embarrassed.

"Awwwe, that's too bad, see we have a thing." Venusmon said.

"No, honey, no. You know that's a bad idea." Dianamon replied.

"Cj tell her you don't have a thing." Dianamon commanded.

"Venusmon you know it's a bad idea and she's right, you're very beautiful, but we don't have a thing." I said.

" I know." She replied as she stared at the ground.

"Ok well, we're going to wait here until she gets back." Mervamon said.

"Ok, fine." I replied.

"What if they end up having sex?" Kitty asked.

"Kitty kat! No! If that were what she was planning she would have brought us along too." I said.

"How do you know?" Kitty asked.

"Why you gotta do this now?" I asked.

"I dunno." She replied cutely.

"If she does then I get you tonight." I said.

"Yeah." She replied happily.

"Though I'm sure she'll stay faithful." I replied.

"Probably." Kitty said.

"She will, she would've told me before, oh hi Pheebles." I said as she teleported back in mid-sentence.

"You want to come with me?" She asked.

"Kind of, yeah." I said.

"Wait a minute where did you take her?" Mervamon asked.

"I'm not telling you, this doesn't need to get violent." Phoebe replied before joining hands with Kitty and I and teleporting us away, to what turned out to be an empty house a bit further down the street, one that nobody decided to temporarily move into, where Angewomon was waiting for her return.

"I don't think she'll find us here as long as we keep the curtains drawn." Phoebe said.

"So why don't you explain to us why you came here?" Phoebe asked as she turned towards Angewomon.

"The screen said she was very badly hurt, I didn't even know any of you were still alive, I don't really know much about how to operate Ophanimon's monitoring room, but that message was pretty loud and clear, so I came to check. You have no idea how long I've been up there, all alone. I assumed it would be too dangerous to set foot down here, but she was still alive as well as her tamer, as she had to be in the digivice, so I had to see. Sadly I wasn't aware you had joined forces with those ex-goddesses."

"But you don't even know if Ophanimon is still alive?" Phoebe asked.

"Yes, but that doesn't mean I can just give up hope." Angewomon replied.

'What about what Mervamon said? If she were dead the dark rulers would have taken her goddesshood." I said.

"Yeah, well, she also said that Ophanimon doesn't know how to use it to its fullest, so why would they? They could have it, but not be aware of how to make use of it." Phoebe replied.

"Aren't they part of deusmon though?" I asked.

"Yeah, but, each one is only part, and, we've taken down several of those parts." Phoebe said.

"So, if they have it, they collectively don't have the full knowledge on how to use it either?" I said.

"Right." Phoebe replied.

"It stands to reason." Angewomon agreed.

"Anyway blondie, we need all the help we can get, in fact, right now we're just waiting here for reinforcements from Bacchusmon." I said.

"Great, another one." Angewomon replied.

"We need all the help we can get." Phoebe reiterated.

"I know, things are really screwed up, but teaming up with Ophanimon's mortal enemies?" Angewomon asked.

"They don't seem all that bad." Phoebe said.

"You weren't there for the holy wars." Angewomon replied.

"Well there's three of them and one of you since we don't even know if Ophanimon is still alive. So we're going to side with them if you're going to get combative." Phoebe said.

"I understand." Angewomon replied.

"So what are you going to do then? I mean you could just go back up to your Skyland and stay there until this is all over, maybe Ophanimon will return someday. But there's no guarantee we'll be successful in stopping deusmon and he might end up coming for you instead." Phoebe said. "You could help us defeat deusmon, even if it means having to work with your enemies, even if it means you might not survive. You could try to fight us, but you'll probably lose. And even if you win, you'll be all on your own to face deusmon. If you side with us we'll try to help ease things between you in the goddesses, I think if we bring Dianamon in here she'll be a lot more reasonable than Mervamon. "

"Ok." Angewomon replied.

"So you'll stay with us?" Phoebe asked.

"Beats going back up there." Angewomon replied.

"Ok well then let's keep talking, there's more we have to discuss." Phoebe said.

"What do you know of Dark Digimon?" Phoebe asked.

"They're evil and need to be destroyed." Angewomon replied.

"Not quite, we have one with us as well. We even have one of the dark rulers." Phoebe said.

"But they're literally the ones Ophanimon commanded you to destroy!" Angewomon protested.

"Yeah well, listen, before you try to destroy her, we have an excuse. There's so few now that the others have already gathered, if we destroyed her, there would be no reason for them to withhold on summoning deusmon. As long as we have her, they won't, and I've been keeping her unconscious so they can't find her either. She's not really a member of the team, per se. And then there's violet, or Darkvioletmon, she's been traveling with us and has been helping us fight the enemy, she's weird and she tends to disappear at times, but, she's been helpful, and even she knows that deusmon needs to be stopped. She's just, kind of messed up by her time in the darkzone." Phoebe said.

"That's why she needs to stay there." Angewomon said.

"I disagree, I think we're making progress, she's been talking just a bit more than usual, we just need more time to work with her. " Phoebe said.

"Yeah she just hasn't been able to get her naked yet." Kitty said.

"Kitty kat." I said, amused, but slightly embarrassed.

"Why are you trying to get her naked?" Angewomon asked.

"Oh, you, you know what that means?" Phoebe asked.

"Yes, though most digimon don't." Angewomon replied.

"Why ?" Kitty asked.

"Well most rookies and even a lot of champions don't even have clothes to begin with. A lot of rookies don't even have . . . . . you know." Angewomon said.

"Why?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know, that was decided long before the olympos twelve even came to power." Angewomon replied.

"Who was in power before them?" I asked.

" The dark empress and the rest of the demons lords, but only for a single reformation, known now as the time of darkness, after they defeated the ten legendary heros, who were tired after leading for 15 reformations, and that's about as far back as anyone remembers. Though it is known that deusmon was in control in the very beginning. Nobody remembers how those ten came into power, or who was in power before them." Angewomon explained.

"I think I read something in that book we have about that." Phoebe said.

"You should film that book baby girl." I said.

"Um, I think we'll just take it with us." Phoebe said.

"Ok if you say so." I replied.

"So why did you want to get her naked?" Angewomon asked.

"So we can play with her." Phoebe replied.

"That's more her thing." I said.

"Oh but you'd play with her too.' Phoebe replied.

"Well yeah, if you're going too." I said.

"We wouldn't mind playing with you either would we Cj ?" Phoebe asked.

"Um, no, I don't do that sort of thing." Angewomon asked.

"Well not right now, Cj needs a break. But maybe in the future, if you travel with us." Phoebe said.

"I don't know, Ophanimon might be disappointed with me." Angewomon said.

"We don't even know if she's still alive, or how this will play out with the goddesses, so, I wouldn't worry about that too much. Don't worry about it though nothing's happening tonight, Cj is mine tonight, and we're both tired, so. ." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles, just give it a rest, come on do you really have to ask that of her now? " I asked.

"Well she's going to have to get used to us if she's going to travel with us." Phoebe said.

"If you don't scare her away." I said.

"It's not like I'm trying to force her too." Phoebe said.

"I'm more concerned about those former olympos members." Angewomon said.

"Oh don't worry too much about them, Mervamon is just the hothead of the three. We'll go back out there and try to calm her down." Phoebe said.

"And what are you going to do once deusmon is defeated?" Angewomon asked.

"Well, we hope Ophanimon can make good on her promise to help us get home, but if not, well the goddesses have been more of a help to us than she has at this point. If Ophanimon is still alive, what is she even doing right now?" Phoebe asked.

"I wish I could answer that, but I don't know where to even begin to look for her." Angewomon replied.

"Ok, why don't we try to smooth things over with mervamon and then we'll show you the rest of out group?"

"Ok." Angewomon said.

"Ok I'll be right back." Phoebe said as she teleported away.

-back at our house-

"Dianamon, can we talk peacefully for a second?" Phoebe asked after teleporting in.

"Ok, but there better be good reason." Dianamon replied as she took her hand.

"Wait what?" Mervamon asked, still angry, but they were gone before anyone could answer.

"How could they talk of peace?" Mervamon said, furiously.

"Sometimes smashing things isn't the best answer." Venusmon replied.

"You're only saying that cause you love him." Mervamon said.

"Not true! I'm saying it because you do tend to anger easily, sister. If I had a megabyte for every fight you've dragged us into. " Venusmon replied.

"Yeah, well they deserved it. They insulted our goddesshood." Mervamon said.

"You're more levelheaded than Mervamon and not all goo goo eyes over Cj, that's why I brought you here. Because if angewomon could help us out too that'd be great." Phoebe said.

" I understand that, but you need to understand that both Mervamon and I, we've fought and killed a lot of angemon and angewomon, and lost just as many allies at their hands as well, you remember who I talked about last night Cj, while we were."

"Yeah yeah yeah." I interrupted.

"He was one of them. So imagine one killing her, and then imagine two idiots trying to tell you that one is going to be your new ally." Dianamon.

"That doesn't mean it was her." I said.

"I know that, I killed her, after all, but she also puts her faith in the same wannabe goddess as that one did." Danamon said.

"Said wannabe goddess that by her own admission might possibly be deceased." I said.

"We could only hope." Dianamon said.

"Deusmon is the biggest threat, he should be our main priority." Phoebe said.

"Right." Dianamon replied.

"Mhm." Angewomon said.

"So you both agree on that atleast.' Phoebe said.

"What were you doing, during the holy wars though?" Dianamon asked.

"You know you olympos twelve aren't safe right? I used to think Skyland was safe until Icedaemon's forces invaded, so many icedevidramon and icedevimon that learned how to ride them, worse still were the frostladydevimon, " Angewomon said.

"We fought some of those earlier, but they only had a single lady with them." Phoebe said.

"Yeah well, they used to have a lot more. There were hundreds, but towards the end Ophanimon took whatever data she could get and left as things were starting to get really bad. " Angewomon replied.

"You didn't answer my question." Dianamon replied. "What were you doing during the holy wars?"

"I was fighting, alongside the others. I hated it, all the death and destruction." Angewomon replied.

"How many died at your hands?" Dianamon asked.

"Really you're going to ask that?" I asked.

"Yes." Dianamon said.

"Just a few, there were hundreds of us there, it was hard to stand out, not that I really wanted too." Angewomon replied.

"Ok, I'll try to calm Mervamon down, but you need to be smart and just stay away from her too." Dianamon said.

"Have you two put any thought into what side you're going to be on after Deusmon is defeated?" Dianamon asked.

"We won't stand in your way." I said.

"You know how we became goddesses?" Dianamon asked.

"You dethroned the dark empress?" Phoebe asked.

"Not just her but the other demon lords as well, after they killed the ten legendary warriors and turned the whole digital world into something resembling the dark zone. We united and we vanquished them permanently and for a long time while we ruled, we made things better. For a long time, things were peaceful, until that winged wretch and the rest of the trinity came and overthrew us for no reason other than greed and their own sense of self-righteousness." Dianamon explained.

"They told us you were spreading darkness and corrupting the innocents." Angewomon said.

"And you believed them with the rest of your flock." Dianamon replied.

"My point is she's not as divine as she pretends to be and she might even be planning to betray you the moment deusmon is dealt with." Dianamon said to us.

"But we can trust you three?" I asked.

"If you're loyal to us we'll have no reason to betray you." Dianamon said.

"Neither does Ophanimon." Phoebe pointed out.

"As if traveling with us isn't enough?" Dianamon asked.

"We'll get you closer to your home, we'll do whatever we can to make good on that, but I'm telling you, you can't expect Ophanimon to do the same, if she's even still around." Dianamon said.

"Ok, then I guess we're with you for now, since Ophanimon isn't here to argue." Phoebe said.

"I guess that's fair enough, now take me back to my sisters." Dianamon replied.

"Ok, Cj I'll be right back." Phoebe replied as she offered her hand.

"Mhm." I said.

Phoebe left and came back just a couple seconds later.

"Ok, she can start defusing mervamon, how about we show you the rest of our group then?" Phoebe asked.

"Allright." Angewomon agreed.

"We might give you a name too." Phoebe said.

"She's not even our digimon." I said.

"So?" Phoebe asked.

"Are you going to record this too?" Kitty asked.

"Eh, we'll get her recorded later, since we've already kind of gone around and recorded everyone today." Phoebe said.

"Ok." Kitty replied.

"Here take my hands so we can hide from Mervamon." Phoebe said.

She teleported us pretty far down the street, from there we headed to the newbies house, which looked a bit more secure now, with more boards and screws over the windows.

"Are they even in there?" I asked.

"Yeah, I can hear them, I think they're taking a nap though." Phoebe said.

"I'm going to sneak up on them. It'll look cute in the video. You stay here." Phoebe said.

"I thought you said you weren't going to record?" I asked.

"I changed my mind." She replied as she pulled her camera out of her purse.

"Oh allright, just be careful and don't get hurt." I said.

"Why would I get hurt? They're our friends." Phoebe replied.

"If you woke up and someone was standing over you that wasn't supposed to be how you would react?"

"It depends on what their intentions are." Phoebe replied.

"What if you couldn't read their intentions?" I asked.

"I might be a bit scared." She replied.

"Exactly." I said.

"Ok, I'll be careful then. Stay here and keep Kitty and Angela company." Phoebe replied before kissing me on the cheek and teleporting away.

"Whose Angela?" Kitty asked.

"Guess that's her name now, if you don't mind. In case we run across other Angewomon." I said.

"I doubt that will happen, unless we find Ophanimon, but I like it, so it's fine." Angela replied.

"How come IceLeomon doesn't have a name?" Kitty asked.

"He refused anything that's ever been suggested." I said.

"Elli calls him Leelee sometimes." Kitty said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah, but only sometimes." Kitty replied.

"Is she human? How is she able to do that?" Angela asked.

"She's a gardevoir, it's a species of sapient pokémon, she has powers of her own. To be fair your one of the few that didn't just automatically assume she was human." I said.

"And what are you then?" Angela asked.

"I'm a human, so are Henry and Claire which you'll meet in a while. Everyone else is either a digimon or what's considered humanoid which means they share a very similar evolutionary path to humans but with a few different quirks and traits, typically skin eyes and hair that would normally be considered unattural, but sometimes even beyond that, like Lussy's tongue or Challey and IceLeomon's wives being completely comfortable in this environment but unable to withstand much heat, they're basically humans from other planets.

"What?" Angela asked.

"It's pretty mindblowing, there's ones that can breathe underwater, there's ones that have extra joints in their arms, some have extra arms, three eyes, four eyes, five eyes, telekinetic abilities, some have fur, the list goes on. If you can think of it, it probably exist out there somewhere." I said.

"Mhmmmm, everrrrrryyyyything." Kitty said.

"And you've slept with most of them." I said, teasingly.

"No, I don't know, that was over 20 years ago." Kitty replied.

"Eh, don't get so worked up about it, you know I love you Kitty Kat." I said as I pulled her close.

"How could that be twenty years, you've only been in the digital world for a few months" Angela pointed out.

"Yeah but a thing happened and basically we got sucked into yet another universe for nearly a century." I said.

"Huh?" Angela asked.

"It's a really long story." I said.

"Ok I'm back." Phoebe said after teleporting to a seemingly random spot close by.

"Did you get your footage baby girl?" I asked.

"Mhm, let's go wake them up now." Phoebe replied as she stashed her camera away.

We went up and knocked on their door a few times to rouse them awake.

We heard some mumbling from inside and then eventually Lussy got up and answered.

"What's going on?" She asked.

"We have a new team member." Phoebe said.

"Is Kitty pregnant?" Lussy asked.

"Huh?" Kitty was confused.

"No, look here, this is Angela, she's an angewomon." Phoebe said.

"Hi." Angela waved awkwardly.

"Oh, where'd she come from?" Lussy asked as the other newbies gathered behind her.

"Skyland." Angela replied.

"Ok." Lussy said, unsure what to make of this.

"What do you think of our house now?" Lussy asked.

"It looks a lot better." I said.

"It's great." Phoebe added.

"Cool." Lussy replied.

"Anyway she's going to need a place to stay the night and if any of you newbies could find a way to become partners with her, that'd be great but first we're going to go around and introduce her to everyone else." Phoebe said.

"Ok, but we'll need to get another bed in here." Lussy replied.

"Well she might stay with Zari too, we're not really sure yet, it's what she wants I guess." Phoebe said.

"Ok." Lussy replied.

"So yeah if you see her around, this is who she is, and I guess we'll go see Zari again, also Mervamon hates her." Phoebe said.

"She does?" Lussy asked.

"Mhm." Phoebe replied.

"Well that's interesting." Lussy replied

"Yeah, we're trying to keep them away from each other while Dianamon tries to pacify her." Phoebe explained.

"I see." Lussy replied.

"Well, we're not really fans of Mervamon either." Lussy said.

"Really?" Angela replied.

"She's such a Lizagono." Lussy replied. Referring to a species of velociraptor-like lizards larger and much more aggressive than the domesticated sklizen commonly used for egg production. The female Lizagono are highly aggressive, even more so than the males, and sometimes murderous, of both male and weaker female members of their own species. Basically the term is synonymous with bitch.

"Definitely." Selly agreed.

"I don't know what that is." Angela said.

"It means she's a bitch." Kitty explained without hesitation.

"Kitty Kat." Phoebe scolded.

"I don't know what that is." Angela replied.

"She's mean and bossy and nobody likes her." Kitty said.

"Oh." Angela replied.

"You're still recording?" Kitty asked.

"No, but still, I hope you don't talk that way around our kids." Phoebe said.

"Pheebles, Nina probably already knows and Charley will learn eventually." I said as it was Kitty we were talking about here and it was likely bound to happen eventually.

"Well still, not while he's still our sweet little baby boy, please." Phoebe said.

"Ok whatever, why are we talking about this now it could be another hundred years before we get home." I said.

"I don't know, but I hope not." Phoebe replied.

"Eh we'll just have to see."

"So what are you going to do now Lussy? Gonna go back to taking a nap?" Phoebe asked.

"I don't know not much else to do today." Lussy replied.

"You want to go help build traps outside of town?" Phoebe asked.

"We can try." Lussy replied.

"Yeah, beats laying around doing nothing." Kiera chimed in.

"Allright then." Henry is on the south side, go see him. We're going to go see Zari and then we'll probably head over there too." Phoebe said.

"Ok, see you." Lussy said.

"Bye." Phoebe replied.

"Alright come on everybody let's go to Zari's." Phoebe said. As Lussy shut the door.

"It's almost like we have our own little community going on." I said.

"Yeah almost." Phoebe said with a laugh.

"We just need a bar." Kitty said.

"Well when bacchusmon's forces show up maybe they'll bring one." I said.

"Really?" Phoebe asked.

"I have no idea, who knows?" I replied.

"Do you think they'll come after me?" Angela asked.

"I don't think bachusmon will be with them, so I doubt it, unless Mervamon hasn't cooled down by then, but we have a few days so don't worry." I said.

"Yeah, he said he's sending Kazemon to lead them, so, I think he intends to stay in his club, so most of them probably won't think you're associated with Ophanimon, but I'm not sure about Kazemon herself." Phoebe said.

"Even so, she seems to be a lot easier to reason with than Mervamon." I added.

"Right, so even if she doesn't like you, it shouldn't be too hard to convince her to give you a chance." Phoebe said.

Eventually we made it over to Zari's, who along with Chally and Saphy, were now in the process of constructing a chain-link privacy fence around her house with even more razor wire. A very secure looking, but currently open gate was installed at the entrance.

"You know we're only going to be here a few days right?" I asked.

"Yeah well, there's not much else to do but focus on fortifications." Zari replied.

"You could build traps." Phoebe said.

"Maybe tomorrow." Zari replied. I want to see if those machines can make alarms and security cameras." She replied.

"I'm surprised they make razor wire." I said.

"I know, I spent like twenty minutes looking for it, it is buried in the menus, but it is there. They make a metric ton of things. Even sandbags and really thick steel plating but there is no convenient way to move anything that heavy, sadly it doesn't make any vehicles, I checked. I think it has to be small enough to come out of the machine." Zari replied.

"That would be awesome, then we could get like a bendy bus." I said.

"A bendy bus?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah it's like a bus but it has a little trailer on the back that's also part of the bus. It's a bendy bus." I said.

"Why not a double decker bus?" Phoebe asked.

"Because then we could be defeated, by a low bridge." I said.

"Oh…. True." Phoebe replied.

"What about the components for a vehicle?" Phoebe asked.

"I wouldn't even know where to begin with that." Zari replied.

"You' need a welding machine, motor, battery, wheels, and a lot of random bits of hardware, and that would get you a basic electric cart." I said.

"You know how to weld?" Zari asked.

"Kind of." I replied.

"What he means is if you let him try he'll probably set the house on fire." Phoebe chimed.

"Well I wouldn't be welding inside the house, for starters." I said.

"Where else would you be though? Out here in the snow?" Phoebe asked.

"Bottom line is even if it makes all the relevant components, it'd take too long to assemble something like that just to immediately abandon it. It's probably possible, since they can make cameras and other small devices, but it'd take way too long." I said.

"I didn't see any cameras in there." Zari said.

"Well I'm pretty sure that wizardmon at the photography store we went too was making them." I said.

"Wizardmon can alter the background code though." Phoebe said.

"That is true, Ophanimon despised them for their tampering, Sorcermon and datamon too, but it's usually harmless as they usually don't have bad intentions, they don't have full control of it, and don't understand it as well as a true deity would, so she just lets them be. If they ever did go too far I have no doubt she'd start undoing their changes, however I can't remember a time when that actually happened." Angela said.

"Do you know anything more about the maker machines?" I asked.

"They've been around for ages, there's a rumor that somewhere there's a machine that makes maker machines, but most of the time they just get found out in the middle of nowhere, sometimes villages are built around where they sit, other times they're moved into existing villages. Not even Ophanimon understands them entirely, as they are buried deep in the code, but they make things a lot easier to rebuild after a reformation. Some think they've existed since the beginning." Angela replied.

"Just add them to the list of weird things here." Phoebe said.

"Yep." I replied.

"Definitely." Zari agreed.

"Anyway, you and Challey both still need a digimon right?" Phoebe asked.

"It'd be nice, but is she strong?" Zari asked.

"She is an ultimate, I checked." Phoebe said.

"You sleep with her yet?" Zari asked.

"Zari we just met 30 minutes ago." Phoebe replied.

"It's taken you less time before." I said.

"No it hasn't." Phoebe said.

"As an Angewoman I shouldn't partake in such things, I'd be a disgrace to my whole species." Angela replied.

"Is that so?" Zari asked.

"Yes." Angela replied.

"Why do you have titties then?" Kitty asked.

"Kitty Kat, not right now." I said.

"I'm just saying she has an awfully nice rack for somebody that's not allowed to use it." Kitty continued.

"Kitty, knock it off." I said.

"Ok ok." She replied.

"She's right though." Phoebe said.

"Oh god, You girls." I said with a sigh.

"You'd think one would be enough of a handful?" Zari said.

"Hey watch it." Phoebe said, getting defensive.

"Usually it's this one, today it's that one for some reason." I said.

"Cj." Phoebe replied as I pointed to her first.

"I love you both, you know that." I said.

"And to be fair, Zari would probably find her own way to be a handful too." I said.

"That is very true." Zari replied with a laugh.

"You can be really stubborn too sometimes CJ." Phoebe said.

"So can you." I replied.

"Maybe." Phoebe said.

"Maybe? No! That's a yes." I replied.

"No." Phoebe said.

"Eh well, anyway we're just taking her around and introducing her to everyone, and then at some point we'll decide where she's spending the night. The newbies are heading over to help Henry with the traps, and we'll be going there next, so if you three want to follow us and have some sort of a group meeting, that'd be good." I said.

"And Iceleomon?" Zari asked.

"Well he and his wives are already partners so, we're kind of hoping she'll partner up with somebody." I said.

"Where are they even?" Phoebe asked.

"Last I saw he was trying to cover his house with snow. I'm not sure what the idea is there, camouflage maybe?" Zari said.

"As a giant pile of snow?" I asked.

"Doesn't it reset every few hours?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, I'm not sure he really thought that out, but you know how stubborn he can be." Zari said.

"We're almost done with the fence posts." Challana interjected.

"Great, then we'll have to tie the chains on using that metal wire, then the tape so we can obscure their view, then the razor wire. We've been over this several times." Zari said.

"We're almost out of tape." Saphy said.

"Then quit taping for now, we might have a group meeting to go to, we'll get some more afterwards." Zari said.

"Is Saphy doing ok?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, she's been a good help, she seems kind of sad and mopey though." Zari said.

"I guess I'll have to talk to her again." Phoebe said.

"It might help." Zari replied.

"We'll get to that later, the newbies should have made it over to Henry by now." Phoebe said.

"Allright then, see you there in a bit." Zari said.

And so we left her fortress to go see Henry.

"Do you think we should check on IceLeomon?" Phoebe asked.

"You want to risk being there when the snow resets?" I asked.

"No, not really." Phoebe said.

"Allright." I replied.

"Then again he's with his wives so he probably won't get too mad." Phoebe said a bit later.

"You want to or not?" I asked.

"Let's just go see Henry again." Phoebe replied.

"Ok." I said.

"So um, I just want to ask, you know Ophanimon said she was only going to bring in 5 humans after sending those two older guys back, where'd the rest of you come from?" Angela asked, referencing the train crew, I wondered what they were up to, were they still in the nexus?

"Indramon had a portal machine, we blew it up, it sent us to yet another alternate universe for nearly a century until we finally reunited with each other. And then Deusmon started devouring that universe, some stuff happened, we thought we were screwed, so we recruited the newbies, Lussy, Selly, and Chally, and we played around with them for awhile until Chally led us back to Iceleomon, who had since become the king of her civilization, and was already married to his wives at that point so they chose a new king, and he brought them along. Then Kiera showed up right before we were about to leave and she's basically one of the newbies now too. " Phoebe explained.

"A whole other universe?" Angela asked.

"Yeah with spaceships and everything." Phoebe replied.

"It was fun, but we got kids to get home to, and that universe was doomed if we didn't stop deusmon." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe agreed.

"It was also kind of sad at times." I said.

"Mhm, you basically lived a whole other life in there." Phoebe said.

"Huh?" Angela asked.

"We don't look like it but, aside from the newbies we're all over 100 years old." I said.

"Is that impressive for a human?" Angela said.

"Yeah." I said.

"That isn't much for a digimon. We don't really have a set lifespan, though the reformations keep the general population young." She said.

" So you literally have an apocalypse every once in a while?" I asked.

"Well, not really, it's just most of the world changes, some landmarks and anomalies get destroyed, others take form, a few are unchanged, but anyone that dies in the process comes back as an egg and starts a whole new life without any memories of their previous one. Nobody ever really dies, they just get reborn." Angela replied.

Eventually we made it back to Henry's group who was still working on making traps while conversing with the newbies.

"So some of the sticks are just sticks there's no actual traps there?" Lussy asked.

"Yeah, the one on the main path into town is a decoy, but there's going to be another one further down the path that I haven't made yet that's real. This way we'll still have an indication of where they are so we can avoid them, and I'll tell you where a few of the decoys are, but they won't know, and the sticks will basically be meaningless to them because there may or may not be a trap there." Henry said.

"Golem!" Rocky said happily as he recognized us.

"Hi Rocky." Phoebe replied.

Rhyhorn turned towards us and grunted softly, he had never been much of a talker.

"How's it going?" Henry asked.

"Who's the uh, new girl?" Ninjamon asked, already ogling her.

"Guys, this is Angela, she's an angewomon, and well, she better be part of our group by now since we showed her around." Phoebe said.

"I don't really have anywhere else to go." Angela replied, nervously.

"Good!" Phoebe said cheerfully.

"Where is she going to stay the night?" Henry asked.

"We haven't really decided yet, but not with us, she should stay with someone she can partner up with." Phoebe said.

"She can stay with me." Ninjamon said.

"Um, no. She needs to stay with someone that isn't a digimon." Phoebe said.

"She's way out of your league buddy." Claire mumbled quietly.

"Did you pick a house yet?" Celly asked.

"No, we'll get to that later." Henry said.

"You running out of daylight." Celly said.

"I know." Henry replied.

"Did you see Zari's she went way overboard, she's even putting a fence around it." Phoebe said.

"And she gutted the interior." I said.

"She took out all the beds they're not going to have anywhere to sleep." Kitty said.

"They'll set up some beds in there I'm sure, they just slot together, they don't take too long to assemble." I said.

"Well I hope so, she's not sleeping with us." Kitty said.

"Who said you're sleeping with us?" Phoebe asked.

"I helped you build your house!" Kitty said.

"I guess you can have the spare room." Phoebe teased.

"You didn't put one around yours?" Henry asked.

"We boarded up the windows. Cj said it was good enough." Phoebe said.

"And you agreed with me." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe replied.

"You see what the newbies did to theirs?" I asked.

"Oh don't tell him." Lussy interjected.

"It's kind of embarrassing." Celly added.

"Well now he has too." Henry said.

"Not much we can do to make it worse than the first bus we had." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, it will be awhile before it gets that bad. I still remember that, haven't seen anything worse since." I said.

"Your first bus?" Lussy asked.

"Yeah we had another bus before the one we have now, it was basically worse in every way and had a smell we could never quite get completely rid of. We found it in Henry's universe, and then traded it away to another that paid enough for us to get our current bus, as it was one of a kind in that universe and prime research material." I said.

"You think we should tell them how we found it?" Phoebe asked.

"Awe we'll spare them the horror." I replied.

"Ok." Phoebe replied.

"Oh come on." Lussy said.

"How bad could it be?" Kiera asked.

"Bad enough that the bandits hoarded every other vehicle around, except for that one. They wouldn't even touch it." Phoebe explained.

"Bandits?" Lussy asked.

"I think that's who we were fighting back then, the bandits that enslaved Henry and a lot of other people." Phoebe said.

"Not Volkheim?" Claire asked.

"No this other group, slavers pretty much, they aren't really worth remembering." Henry replied.

"What happened to all the others?" Lussy asked.

"We rescued them too, but they all split up once we got to Claire's universe, which was a lot more stable. The world Henry was from was an absolute mess almost like this one. There weren't many people left and most of those in power had pretty bad intentions. And there were skeletons, everywhere, lying on the ground, sitting on benches, laying in bed." I said.

"It killed 80 percent of the country in a month, and by the end of the year, the rest of the world. Most of the time it traveled faster than the news, so people were almost completely unaware anything was wrong. The only ones that survived, were those like me who were naturally immune, and Volkheim and his associates thanks to their suits." Henry said.

"Is Zari coming too?" Henry asked.

"She should be here in a bit along with Saphy and Chally." Phoebe replied.

"Zari's coming now." Phoebe said.

"Ok, cool." I replied.

"You just keep your eyes off her." Phoebe teased.

"I'll just keep them on you instead." I replied as I playfully stared at her awkwardly.

"Kitty can use some attention too." Phoebe replied prompting me to briefly shift my gaze to her.

"I'll give you all the att ahh wha mphh." Ninjamon said before he mysteriously fell back into the current trap they were working on which was fortunately not full of spikes yet. It happened so fast I couldn't tell if Phoebe caused it or not.

"Crap, there could be spikes in there. Pheebles." I said.

"I didn't do anything." She said, innocently.

"We haven't put them in yet." Henry added.

"Yeah, I checked." Phoebe said.

"Is that a confession?" I asked as Ninjamon crawled his way back out.

"Anybody notice a purple glow before he fell?" I asked.

"No." Lussy said.

"I swear the edge was further away." Ninjamon said as he pulled himself up.

"See he's fine, no big deal." Phoebe said.

"Why don't you guys have a fire set up yet?" Zari asked as she approached us along with Saphy and Chally.

"We'll probably set one up in town if we even do that tonight." Henry said.

"They still need to get a house for the night." I said.

"Well your time is running kind of short then." Zari said.

"Does your house have any beds yet or are you still building a fence?" Henry asked.

"We got the kits to make the beds. They're like plastiflats they go together pretty quick. And yeah, we're still working on the fence." Zari replied, referencing a popular construction toy in the space-fairing universe that consisted of various pieces of durable plastic that could slot into each other in various ways more advanced sets featured wheels and motors and allowed the builder to create things such as working model cars and planes.

"Yeah they do, once you figure out how it goes together." I agreed.

"Golem Golem go golem." Rocky chimed in.

"No, just Henry and Claire, but they're small." Phoebe replied.

"What?" Zari asked.

"He wants to know if any of you have pokémon. Henry and Claire have one each, but they're just starters."

"Yeah, we'll let them out to play again if we ever get out of this snow." Henry said.

"Well, we might just have to see what the next world brings." Phoebe replied.

"I won't miss this place." Lussy said.

"Yeah it's kind of boring without all the people." Kiera added.

"There's supposed to be way more digimon here, but the dark rulers got too powerful and it's all gone really wrong." Phoebe said.

"You know I thought about building a moat around the whole village, since your pokémon can dig so fast." Henry said.

"If Aggron helped out it could go even faster." I said.

"Interesting, but a lot of the enemies we're fighting can fly so." Zari said.

"It'd slow down the mammothmon though." Henry said.

"Yeah and if they send enough of them they can be a huge pain in the ass." I said.

"Right." Henry agreed.

They were tough, especially in the numbers they sent them in. The goddesses fared better against them, but they were probably the most dangerous enemies next to the tankmon.

"But it's too late to start on that right now, tomorrow maybe." Henry said.

"You guys ok with helping out some more tomorrow?" I asked my pokémon.

"Golem!" Rocky happily replied. Rhyhorn quietly nodded.

"Allright, cool" I said.

"Do you think we should tell the mechanorimon to keep watch during the night?" Zari asked.

"Somebody has too." I said.

"I could, just for tonight." Angela said.

"You don't need to sleep?" Phoebe asked.

"And then I could decide who I want to stay with tomorrow." Angela suggested.

"Yeah, but mervamon might go looking for you and nobody will be awake to help you." Phoebe said.

"Or she could take off." Henry said.

"Eh, where's she going to go though?" Phoebe asked.

"Did you introduce her to the mechanorimon?" Kiera asked.

"Should we?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, they understand things." Kiera said.

"IceLeomon hasn't met her yet either." Phoebe said.

"Now he definitely needs to know." Lussy said.

"Yeah, I know, but we wanted to wait for the snow to reset." Phoebe said.

"How come?" Lussy asked.

"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! DAAAAAMMMMMMIIIIIIIIIIIT." IceLeomon could be heard yelling angrily from the village in the distance as if on cue.

"What the heck?" Selly asked.

"He sounds mad." Claire said.

"Too mad, you think he found something to fight?" Ninjamon asked.

"No I think he forgot the snow resets and it did, and undid hours of work for him." Phoebe explained.

"Oh." Ninjamon said.

"And that's why we didn't show him yet." Phoebe said as she rolled her eyes.

"Well it's over now." Zari said.

"Yeah, but we'll give him some time to cool down." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe agreed.

"Is he mean?" Angela asked.

"No, just kind of stubborn, with some rage issues." Phoebe said.

"He sounds mean." Angela replied.

"Don't worry about it he's usually reasonable." Phoebe said.

"Did he just waste this whole day?" Henry asked.

"I think so, yes." I replied.

"His wives didn't talk him out of it?" Henry asked.

"I think he was working on the outside, they were working on the inside." Zari said.

"Yeah, hehe he's probably pretty pissed at himself then." Henry said.

"Well I would only imagine." Phoebe said.

"Anyway after he cools down we can take you over there and introduce you to him and his wives." Phoebe said.

"Ok." Angela replied.

"And then you will have met our entire group pretty much." Phoebe said.

"Ok." Angela replied.

"So now you just need to pick who you want to stay with tonight." Phoebe said. "It can't be us and Ninjamon is probably not a good choice either."

"And why not?" Ninjamon protested.

"Well he'll probably stay with us, so wait does anybody know where Darkvioletmon is?" Henry asked.

"Nope." Zari said.

"Haven't seen her." Phoebe added.

"Nah." I added.

"You trust her?" Angela asked.

"Well she hasn't attacked anybody so far, but she's real quiet and it's hard to get her to say anything, she keeps to herself most of the time. We'll introduce you to her when we go on the move again, since she rides on the bus with us to stay out of the cold atleast. " Phoebe said.

"I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but she's a dark digimon, and you need to be wary of that." Angela said.

"Trust me, we are." Phoebe replied.

"She could stay on her own tonight and decide tomorrow." Zari suggested.

"True, but are there any unclaimed houses left she could fit inside?" Lussy asked.

"Yeah, there's quite a few left.." Zari said.

"We still need to pick one, we've been out here all day.." Henry replied.

"Mhm." Claire agreed.

"You wanna go do that now?" Phoebe asked.

"When it's about sunset." Henry replied.

"So you're just going to make her wait until then?" Phoebe asked.

"If she doesn't stay with Zari or the newbies."

"Am I staying with Zari tonight?" Saphy asked.

"You might as well, you've been with her most of the day. Maybe tomorrow we'll do some training together." Phoebe replied.

"Ok." Saphy replied.

"We already got the parts for your bed." Zari said.

"I know, but, I don't know actually." Saphy replied.

"Right." Zari agreed.

"Saphy we could have you train against Angela tomorrow and then we can see what she can do." Phoebe said.

"Really?" Angela asked.

"Yeah, why not? Just don't hurt each other it will be allright. During that hundred years Cj and Kitty got way ahead of us." Phoebe said.

"Yeah you were apart the whole time, Kitty and I found each other after just two of those years." I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe agreed.

"We'll get another bed set up for you if you want to stay with us." Zari said.

"Um thanks I guess." Angela replied.

"Allright, anybody else have anything they wanna say or can we get back to work?" Henry asked.

"I think we're done here, come on Angie we'll take you to see IceLeomon." Phoebe said.

"Ok." Angela replied as everyone started to go their separate ways.

Several minutes later we made our way over to Iceleomon's house, which looked completely normal since the snow reset. By that point his wives had calmed him down. They were snuggling in an ironically adorable manner.

"Are you still upset about your house?" Phoebe asked as we approached.

"It's frustrating, yes, but, I'll just have to try a different approach tomorrow." IceLeomon said.

"One that doesn't use snow." Elli added.

"You have any ideas?" He asked.

"Did you see what Cj and I did to ours? You can look at Zari's too, but she went a little overboard which is ok too." Phoebe asked

"Yeah we did great." Kitty said.

"Kitty helped too." I said.

"Yeah she did." Phoebe agreed.

"Who is this?" IceLeomon asked.

"That is Angela, she'll be joining our group, we already introduced her to the others." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, I guess that's what's happening." Angela replied.

"Where'd she come from?" IceLeomon asked.

"I saw you were still alive, so I came down to see. I thought all was lost, I was alone up there, just biding my time." Angela replied.

"She used to work for Ophanimon before she left." Phoebe explained.

"Where did she go?" IceLeomon asked.

"I wish I knew. I don't even know if she's still alive." Angela replied.

"Do you know what happened to the other chosen digimon?" IceLeomon asked. Her inner circle

"They were destroyed before they could make it to the hotel. I don't know the specifics other than they were defeated in battle. You need to understand how disheartening it was for us, to watch her plan fail like that. Losing Cherubimon and Seraphimon was hard enough. Only Ophanimon and her inner circle would know exactly what happened in their last moments, if she's still alive. She only told us that they were taken down before they could make to the hotel and nothing more." Angela said.

"I'm glad I made it." Kitty interjected.

"We're glad you made it too." Phoebe replied.

"I'm extremely happy you made it, you, ranamon and IceLeomon's survival means this world still has a chance." Angela replied.

"You mean Saphy?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah, we never really used the names you gave them sorry." Angela replied.

"Then how did you distinguish them from the others of their kind?" Phoebe asked.

"Their code. It's, kind of hard to explain, but it sticks out. If you know what to look for." Angela replied.

"We don't know what to look for, we don't even know how to look." Phoebe said.

"Well, you have to be a digimon to see and understand that stuff, and even then, only ultimates and higher can, and even then, most still can't or simply never learn how, so, don't worry too much about it." Angela replied.

"What about wizardmon? They're only champions." Phoebe pointed out.

"Wizardmon, sorcermon and the like are an exception. Nobody really knows how or why, even Ophanimon was baffled by their abilities. That said, when they're alone their ability to manipulate the background code is pretty weak, that and they're usually pretty docile if not friendly, so they've never been of much concern. "Angela replied.

"Okaaaay." Phoebe replied.

"Hey!" Mervamon yelled from down the street.

"Crap, she found us." I said.

"What did you do to anger her?" Iceleomon asked.

"They don't like Ophanimon. Remember?" Kitty said.

"Oh, I see." Iceleomon said as Mervamon approached us with the goddesses in tow.

"Don't you dare teleport away!" Mervamon yelled.

"Should I?" Phoebe asked me.

"Wait up, Mervamon!" Dianamon said, annoyed.

"Kitty Kat why don't you go over to them, see what kind of mood she's in?" I suggested.

"Ok sure." Kitty replied before heading out to meet her.

"Are you still mad?" Kitty asked when she was only a few feet away from her.

"I'm not here to fight, but we need to talk so if you don't mind staying out of the way." Mervamon said.

"I can't let you hurt him, you know that." Kitty said.

"I already said I'm not going to." Mervamon replied.

"It is allright Kitty Kat, we've talked this out. Though she could probably cool off a bit more." Dianamon said.

"I don't want him to get hurt either." Venusmon said, once she caught up.

"You just, keep away from him completely." Kitty said nervously.

"That won't be an issue right now." Dianamon said.

"It better not be." Kitty said as she got out of their way and motioned for them to walk past.

"Are you coming back with us or are you just going to stand there?" Dianamon asked.

"Oh, right." Kitty replied as she started to follow them.

"Ok well they're walking together, so I guess things are ok." I said.

"You sent her out on her own just to find that out? What if she just set her?" Phoebe asked.

"Pheebles, she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but you should know by now, she can handle herself." I said.

"Yeah, I guess she can." Phoebe said.

"What? Did you want to do it? I need you here so you can teleport us away if things go bad." I said.

"We still hate Ophanimon for what she did, but, deusmon is the biggest threat to the digital world right now, so, even though she worked for Ophanimon, as long as she's willing to help us fight deusmon, and as long as she stays out of my sight, maybe, this can work out." Mervamon said.

"Ok, atleast until deusmon is dealt with. I suppose it will be allright." Angela said.

"Like you have a chance in the dark zone against us." Mervamon said.

"What side are you on Cj?" Venusmon asked.

"We're not getting involved." Phoebe said before I could say anything.

"Then I won't either." Venusmon replied.

"So it'd only be two against one then?" Angela asked.

"Don't get any ideas you winged rat, we'll be keeping an eye on you." Mervamon said.

"I thought I was supposed to keep out of your sight." Angela replied.

"I'll take all three of you." IceLeomon proudly proclaimed.

"Maybe we could do something fun while they fight it out." Venusmon suggested.
