79. Final march on the frozen city

-chapter 79, final march to the frozen city-

I woke up next to Kitty, kind of half snuggling her with her awkwardly curled up beside me. I quickly figured Phoebe must have woken up earlier and gotten up to go do something. What that was exactly was beyond me, but she quietly came back into the room a moment later, wearing one of her dresses while Kitty and I were both still naked.

"Goodmorning." She whispered.

"Morning baby girl." I whispered back as she sat next to me on the bed.

"Kitty still asleep?" She asked in a whisper

"Yep." I whispered back.

"You wanna go play in the other room?" She asked in a whisper.

"Ok, sure." I whispered back as I carefully got up to avoid waking Kitty.

"Get you some fresh clothes too afterwards." Phoebe whispered.

"Yeah." I whispered back.

We headed to the bed in the other room where I removed her dress and we started to quietly fool around in the dark of the room like we did almost every morning, Then as the afterglow began to fade we started to think about what else we were going to do that day.

"Cj, we can't have too many more days here." Phoebe said.

"True, that army we're waiting on should show up any day." I replied.

"With Kazemon," Phoebe said.

"Yeah with Kazemon." I replied.

"I know we can get her to have fun." Phoebe said.

"Maybe, if she's on the bus with us, is that really all you're thinking about right now?" I asked.

"No." She replied.

"You know you worry me sometimes." I said.

"You worry me more." She replied.

"Oh really?" I asked.

"Mhm." She said.

"So what else are you thinking about then besides kazemon?" I asked.

"Are we going back to working on Ninjamon's thing today?" She asked.

"Probably, unless you wanna go back to building traps." I said.

"Not after what happened to Kitty." Phoebe said.

"She won't fall in again, not after that." I said.

"I'm more worried about you falling in, we know she can survive it." Phoebe said.

"You never stop worrying about me do you?" I asked.

"You're the love of my life, I'm never letting you go." She said as she hugged me tight.

"Same." I replied.

"No, you say it." Phoebe replied.

"Pheebles, baby girl, you're the love of my life and I'm never letting you go." I said.

"Good Cj." She playfully replied.

"But seriously, I was never even close to falling in." I said.

"I know, but if I stop worrying you might not be as cautious." She said.

"Fair enough." I replied.

"Oh Pheebles." I said with a sigh as I snuggled with her.

"You wanna get dressed and head outside or do you wanna snuggle until Kitty wakes up?" She asked after a brief period of silence.

"It might be awhile until she wakes up." I said.

"So you just wanna go then?" Phoebe asked.

"Might as well, come on baby girl let's head outside." I said.

"Ok." Phoebe replied.

We went over to the secret base we were building, somewhat close to the house Henry and Claire were staying in. One of the wagons we had made was inside, flipped upside down. The snow had long since regenerated since we dug out this big hole in the ground, and now covered the floor, as there was no ceiling yet since we ran out of wood just working on the walls.

"Why is it in here? I don't think we left it like this." Phoebe asked.

"I guess we'll just flip it over and pull it out." I said.

"Ok." She replied as we got ready to do so.

We started to turn it over.

"Arceus, wait Cj!" Phoebe exclaimed out of shock as she let go pf the wagon, which caught me off guard as she was very rarely that surprised.

" What's wrong?" I asked.

"Ninjamon is sleeping inside." Phoebe said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Can't you two go bother someone else I'm trying to sleep here!" Ninjamon said, annoyed as he kicked the wagon back over from the inside and stood up.

"Why?" I asked.

"Did Claire kick you out of their house?" Phoebe asked.

"No, somebody had to watch the fort all night." Ninjamon said.

"That's what the mechanorimon are doing." Phoebe said.

"Did you sleep well under there?" I asked.

"Well enough. It'd be better if there was a bed in here, and a roof." Ninjamon grumpily replied. "I first tried to sleep without the wagon covering me, I woke up covered in snow."

"Well beds don't take too long to build and we might finish building the roof today, but Kazemon might come today, or we could get attacked so I'm not sure." Phoebe said.

"Who knows? If we don't get it done before we have to leave though, it's no big deal. It's all just a time killer." I said.

"Right." Phoebe agreed.

IceLeomon and his wives came over to have a look.

"Where's Kitty?" Elli asked.

"Still asleep last I knew. It usually takes her awhile to get out of bed." I said.

"Tell her I said hi." Elli replied.

"Well, she might wander out here any minute, who knows?" I said.

"It's not a very secret base is it?" Iceleomon asked.

"Wait until we build a roof and the snow covers it up, then it will be hard to see." Ninjamon said.

"It also looks a bit small." Iceleomon said.

"Yeah well, it needed to be small enough that we could possibly finish it while we were here." I said.

"Yeah, and we still might not even finish it." Phoebe said.

"Well then maybe we should all get to work then." Ninjamon said.

"Right, Cj let's go get some more lumber." Phoebe said.

"Ok." I replied as we collected the wagons and headed to the maker machines.

"You want to help?" Phoebe asked Iceleomon and his wives.

"I guess we could." The lion man replied.

So we all ended up heading over there and bringing back as much lumber as we could carry and from there we set to work. Henry and Claire came out to talk to us at some point as well.

"So can we go and get our laundry done? We never had a chance to get to it yesterday." Henry asked.

"Yeah, go ahead the machines are just sitting in the front room of our houses, they don't even need to be hooked up to anything." Phoebe said.

"Awesome we'll go get that taken care of and then we'll come back and help with this." Henry said.

"That sounds great, the door is unlocked, um, I think Kitty might still be asleep so try to keep quiet and not wake her up." Phoebe said.

"Right, gotcha." Henry replied.

"She's also probably naked so don't go peaking in on her." Phoebe said.

"I wasn't planning on it." Henry replied.

"He won't, I'm going with him." Claire said.

"Allright then, see you later." Phoebe said.

"Right, see you." Claire said before they headed back into their house for a bit to get their clothes, then they came out again to head over to ours.

"Maybe in a bit we could take a break and check on Angela and Violet?" Phoebe asked.

"Maybe, once we get this last wall done" I replied.

"What about the roof then?" IceLeomon asked.

"It will just be a flat roof, we just need to put up some crossbeams and get some 4x8 sheets of plywood on top of that. It should last the whole time we're here atleast. The snow will regenerate and should hide it perfectly. We just need to put a hatch on top with a ladder so we can get inside." I said.

In a world with a normal weather system, that wouldn't last long before the roof would start to leak. In this situation however, it'd last long enough here since we probably weren't even going to be here another week, if this wood can even rot. In a normal situation it'd also be a good idea to use concrete, but we had no time for that. We were cutting some corners, but we were just trying to pass what time we had before bachusmon's forces arrived, not build a legendary fortress that would stick around for decades to come, if a reformation event didn't occur before then.

Anyway we got the wall finished about half an hour later and went to see how Angela and violet were doing since they decided to stay together like some weird take on the odd couple.

'"You sure this is the right house? The lights aren't on." I asked as we arrived.

"I'm absolutely sure this is the house she led us to last night, there's not even that many houses Cj. They're probably just asleep still or maybe Violet got up to wander around like she normally does and Angela just followed her." Phoebe said as we began to hear the now familiar sound of a flying mechanorimon approaching

"It's Kiera." Phoebe said before she even got out. The robots were tall enough it was difficult to tell who was inside them from the ground.

"ENEMY GROUP OF COMMANDRAMON SPOTTED AND APPROACHING." The machine digimon loudly announced.

"What side of town were you on?" I asked.

"THEY ARE ALL AROUND." The Mechanorimon said.

"Crap." I replied. "Pheebles go get the word out, I'm going to run to our house and get Kitty, probably Henry and Claire if they're still there."

"Right." Phoebe said before teleporting away.

"Kiera get the other newbies and take some cover, behind some houses, start picking them off from a distance." I said.

"Lussy and Selly are still asleep." Kiera replied.

"Well go wake their asses up this is a life or death thing here." I said.

"Right." Kiera replied.

With that I headed for our house.

Henry and Claire were still there.

"Where'd Phoebe go?" Claire asked on seeing me enter by myself.

"To tell the others that we're about to get attacked, the mechanorimon spotted a bunch of commandramon approaching us from all sides, I'll get you guys some weapons, and then I gotta get Kitty up."

"Ok but what are we supposed to do about our clothes?" Claire asked.

"either take them out and put them on the bus or maybe they'll have time to complete a cycle. We're not leaving yet we're just on defense." I said.

Phoebe blinked in with Saphy.

"I'm going to take Saphy out to the south end and we'll take down as many as we can, atleast make it easier for Kazemon to get here if she comes today. Why don't you take the north end." Phoebe said.

"Ok, just don't get hurt Pheebles." I said.

She looked at me for a moment, wrapped her arms around me and pulled me into a kiss.

"You make sure you don't get hurt, you goofball." She replied.

We got lost in eachother's eyes for a moment until Henry brought us back to reality.

"Guys, we kind of need weapons." He said.

"Right, sorry, coming up." I said as I pulled out my digivice.

"Pheebles where's Zari?" I asked.

"In her house with Challey." She replied.

"Why don't you take her some weapons too." I said as I ejected several from the digivice.

Henry and Claire picked theirs and left. I saved the sword and the obelisk for myself this time, and Phoebe took the best of what was left for Zari and Challey. She teleported out, I put the rest back into the digivice then headed into Kitty's room.

"Kitty Kat, we're under attack babe you gotta get up and get dressed like now." I said as I grabbed her shoulder and start shaking her with a bit of urgency.

"Wha why you doing that Cj?" She asked one I managed to rouse her awake.

"We're under attack, we gotta go, and you gotta get dressed and get your jacket on." I said.

She pulled me into a kiss as well, still naked.

"Kitty Kat come, on, we gotta go." I said.

"Yeah, I know, but I still love you." She said.

"Same, but you're naked and we got commandramon approaching as we speak." I replied.

"Not those guys." She said.

"Yes those guys, and probably more." I said as she sat up and reverted to her persiamon form, redressing herself the lazy way.

"Come on, we'll take the North side, Phoebe is taking the south. Just remember to watch out for the traps I can't fight them like you can they'll kill me for sure, but I got the obelisk and I'll try to cover you." I said.

"Ok, let's go then." She said a she got up.

"Right." I said as she finally headed for the door.

As briefly planned, we headed to the north side of the village. The commandramon had active camo, so they were extremely hard to see at range, but not quite invisible. Their assault rifle also gave them a good lethal range to humans, though the weapons were pretty weak against digimon, being only of a rookie level they were ok against other rookies but most champions and up were bullet sponges.

Angela and Violet eventually joined me at the North.

"Phoebe told us it would be best if we backed you up, since you and Kitty would just be out here alone." Angela said while Violent remained silent as usual.

"Yeah go help Kitty, look out for the traps, It's pretty much suicide for me to come out from behind this house, atleast until the commandramon are gone." I said.

"I can't even see them from here it looks like she's just fighting the air." Angela said.

"They're hard to see from a distance, almost invisible, once you get closer you'll start seeing a visual distortion in their shape though. They aren't very strong up close, so both of you should be able to take down a fair amount of them without any issue." I said.

"Allright, I got it, let's go Violet, hopefully Ophanimon is watching." Angela said before they headed out to where Kitty was fighting.

I kept my head low and monitored Kitty's health bar on the digivice. it also kind of showed where she was getting hit and how much pain she was in. Thankfully it took several shots from those rifles to even bring her health down a full point, so things were looking pretty good. A firing squad could be trouble, and she took a bit of damage while running up to them, but once she got within their ranks only a handful could get a shot at her at any moment, and all of them were in striking distance. I normally didn't bother with this screen much because I would normally be fighting alongside her and not have time to do so, but the current situation meant doing that would be suicidal. If things went to hell, and she started losing health too fast, I could just press the button and call her back before they could finish her. Give her a quick massage with the digiroot paste and send her back out. I could also use the digivice to communicate with her remotely, in a bizarre manner similar to telepathy, except it only works one way. Again we were usually fighting alongside each other so in most cases this feature wasn't very useful.

So I had to stay behind cover, maybe get in a few potshots, but this fight was mostly on her, Angela, and Violet. They enemies were falling, I could start to see data clouds appear around where those girls were fighting, but there were plenty more left and the battle was just beginning. Angela had a variety of abilities that made her a threat both up close and at range, while Violet's plant based attacks were just brutal, she seemed to be able to shrug off their bullets as well and she could strangle and poison several of them to death at once. All while retaining her eerie silence.

Phoebe came up behind me several minutes later, unhurt, but completely exhausted pr atleast that's what she wanted me to think, it had only been a few minutes and it sounded like her breathing was a bit fake, especially since she seemed to catch her breathe the moment she needed to say something, I noticed this, but I just rolled with it for the time being.

"You left Saphy behind?" I asked.

"She's doing great, they're just rookies." Phoebe said.

"What's her vitals screen look like?" I asked.

"Huh?" Phoebe asked.

"In on your digivice. I just found out it could do this but it can display their health bar and any serious injuries." I said.

"Ok." I said.

"My head hurts." She said a bit later, probably lying as she only could have been fighting for a few minutes.

"Well take a little break but remember it's not over yet." I said.

"I know." She replied.

"Atleast you're not hurt yet." She said a bit later.

"What am I supposed to get hurt?" I asked.

"You know you're not!" She replied.

"Just a sec." I said as I popped out, fired a few rounds into the enemy group and immediately took cover, shortly before 3, maybe 4 bullets pinged against the side of the building.

"They know you're here.' Phoebe said.

"Yeah but they're still far away and I don't have anywhere to go. Pheebles I gotta keep an eye on Kitty and you atleast have to keep an eye on Saphy and get back out there when you feel like you can." I said.

"I know." She replied.

"Atleast let me help by taking you to a different building." Phoebe said.

"Allright, that could work, if you feel up to it." I said as I took her hand.

"It's not that far away." She replied.

So with her helping me I basically played reverse whack-a-mole with them, teleporting between about half a dozen houses at random.

"Ok Pheebles this is working pretty good, but you really probably should go check on Saphy." I said as I "reloaded" the obelisk by pulling the mag out and putting the exact same mag back in.

"I'm watching her health just like you're watching Kitty's." Phoebe said.

"You know you're going to be upset if something happens to her." I said.

"I'd be more upset if something happens to you." She replied.

"Pheebles she needs your help she's got the whole south end to herself." I said.

"You promise you won't get hurt?" She asked.

"You know the biggest threat to me right now is that south end breaking through, because then I have to worry about what's behind me. So the best thing for you to do right now is get back out there. " I said.

"Arceus you're right." She said.

"Keep your head in the game Pheebles, you're making me worry about you now." I said.

"Don't worry, you know I can handle this." She said before teleporting away a few seconds later.

Then I was on my own again.

The fighting went on for a few more minutes, eventually the onslaught of commandramon gave way to a second wave consisting of icedevimon. Both on the ground and several more riding Icedevidramon in the sky, prompting me to take cover inside the nearest house. A house intended for small rookie digimon, so about the size of a very expensive playhouse for the luckiest child in the world. I could just about fit, laying across the floor of the kitchen, dining room, and living room all at once with the front door cracked open just enough to fit the barrel of the obelisk through it, it was cramped, but provided more than adequate cover. I was safe from them and the commandramon, but I couldn't see for crap, nor could I contribute much at all to the fight, so I quickly developed the desire to cautiously find somewhere else to hide.

I cautiously crawled out of the little house to come to the realization, that with my luck, I was surrounded by small houses. I wished I still had Phoebe with me, realizing how far I would have to run now, the next normal sized house was several buildings down the "street", which was really more of just an arbitrary line the houses were built in as there were no paved roads.

A couple of airborne digimon rained down icicles at me, so I had to keep moving, somehow I made it to the house without the commandramon shooting me, I guess they were distracted enough by Kitty, who seemed to be prioritizing them over the icedevimon while Angela fell back and starting shooting what looked like arrows at the ones flying around. As I ran for cover I heard a few full bullets whizz by and impact the ground around me. .

Once in a proper sized house I checked myself over to make sure I didn't get hit and just didn't feel it, but I couldn't find or feel anything. I got into a position where I could observe the battle and be safe from the Icedevimon riders. That was about the time a handful of tankmon and mammothmon showed up, but weren't able to do much at the moment due to the vast amount of commandramon and Icedevimon in front of them. They were planning this huge attack all this time.

Kitty eventually decided to digivolve, which for the first time I realized, noticeably cut her health bar by about a quarter, but she was still mostly facing commandramon at this point and wasn't losing much over time, even less now since her mega form was even more resistant. Time passed, I took a few shots, ducked to avoid the incoming fire which very quickly shattered the window, popped up several seconds later after giving them enough time to forget about me, and then fired a few more shots again.

The weaker digimon were eventually almost entirely destroyed, which let the tankmon and mammothmon move forward, This meant I had to fall back atleast to the previous street, because both of these digimon could easily destroy the house I was in, with me in it. So I shot out the back window, as that was the easiest way to break it and there was so much destruction going on they probably wouldn't hear me. I crawled through the smashed out window after putting a bedsheet over it and made my way further back into the village until I found another house to hide in, I don't think anybody saw me, what flying digimon were left were focused on Angela since she could hit them. Thankfully once they got close to the perimeter of the village, a lot of them fell victim to the traps, which killed several mammothmon outright, and trapped a lot of the tankmon who were impervious to the spikes, but did not have the upper arm strength to pull themselves out, making them sitting ducks. However, inevitably a few did get through and started parading down the streets looking for more targets. At this point I called Kitty back.

"Why did you do that there were more there I can still fight I'm not hurt that bad." She complained.

"Shhhh. Let's get you healed up real quick, I know you're not that hurt, but every bit helps and there's a lot of fighting left to do." I said.

"Kiss me I'm scared.' She said.

"Kitty?" I said, surprised as I expected this behavior from Phoebe, not her. Kitty was usually a lot more fearless.

"We never fought so many before, and this is just the one side right?" She said after we kissed.

"Hey Kitty Kat, don't bug out on me now, I need you more than ever. Come on let's get you healed really quick." I said as I got some digiroot paste.

"I mean this is just the one side, but we got others handling those other sides, it won't be that bad." I said as I started to rub her down with healing cream.

A loud crashing noise could be heard as an enemy tankmon decided to flatten one of the surrounding houses, true to their nature, they liked destroying things and had the physical strength to do so.

"Fuck, they're just going to level the whole town." I said.

" So what's our move then?" She asked.

"Well we shouldn't stay here for much longer. We should move back towards the center, try to regroup with the others, especially the goddesses because I know Dianamon can kill the tankmon easily enough." I said.

"Ok then." She said.

"Get your nail on, go smash out the back window." I said.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yeah just go do it, it's less likely we'll run into anything on the southside." I said.

She smashed it out, I put a bedsheet that I quickly found on the bed over it to somewhat protect against the glass, we climbed through the window and once again cautiously made our way towards the nearest mechanorimon we could see in the sky, unsure who, if anybody, was in it. It was the nearest ally we could see, Angela and Violet caught up with us about a minute later, and since she could fly she could help ensure we didn't accidently run into any Tankmon or mammothmon. She was a lot more mobile in the air than the mechanorimon, so the mammothmon weren't as much of a threat to her either.

"So this is where you went." Angela said as she came down from the sky to meet up with us.

"Where's Violet?" I asked.

"She can't fly like I can, she should be here in a bit though." Angela replied.

"Kitty one of these days you need to learn how to fly babe." I said.

"She can't, she's a Lilithmon, they're cast down, like the dark empress herself." Angela said.

"Then why is she one of the chosen?" I asked.

"Well, she's different, Ophanimon did something to her code. Not all Lilithmon are evil either, as they are the natural mega form of a female mikemon, but they are still cast down. Because of what the dark empress did so long ago, she cursed her whole species." Angela said.

"See I told you I can't." Kitty said.

"Yeah but her wings, they're like yours, but black, on a normal Lilithmon they're much more bat-like.

"Right that's part of her modification." Angela said.

"So you're saying Ophanimon went out of her way to modify her wings but didn't give her the ability to fly?" I asked.

"How dare you question her when you have no idea how that works mortal !" Angela said.

"Careful, don't hurt my tamer husband." Kitty said, feeling protective over me.

The two were about to butt heads when Darkvioletmon approached and ruined the mood.

"I have found you." DarkVioletmon said affirmatively as she arrived.

"Great, so we're heading this way towards the mechanorimon, Angela stay low, keep looking over the roofs of houses and keep an eye out for tankmon and mammothmon, we can't afford to come around a corner and end up right in front of one, everybody else, look out for commandramon, because some have probably gotten in as well." I said.

"Do we still kill them if we find them?" Kitty asked.

"Yes Kitty Kat this is still a battle." I said, as the tankmon systematically started to destroy the houses on the north most block.

"Cj!" Pheebles teleported in, with Saphy this time, in her Oceanamon form.

"Oh you're all grouped up." She said after looking around at all the digibabes.

"Stuff is getting out of hand there's tankmon everywhere it's getting really dangerous." Phoebe said.

"Mhm." I agreed.

"So you just wanna stick with us and abandon the entire south end?" I asked.

"There's not much point they're too spread out anymore and too strong to take down efficiently." Phoebe said.

"True, anyway we're heading west. There was a mechanorimon over there, but now there . . . isn't anymore, must've landed because of the mammothmon." I said.

"Ok, well listen I brought Zari and Chally to the bus and told her to go south until she runs into Kazemon, we've already lost the city, we can't let them get BlackLilymon." Phoebe said.

"Yep, but we haven't lost the battle.." I said.

"No, not at all." She said with a smile.

"Good thinking baby girl." I said.

"The icedevimon see us, we need to move." Angela said.

"Ok." I replied while she shot a few arrows at them.

"Saphy come on let's do this." Phoebe said as she joined in.

Then Saphy joined in with her water jets and the three Icedevimon and the Icedevidramon they were riding didn't stand much of a chance, they were basically erased.

"You ever try to kill the tankmon with those things?" I asked as we made our way west.

"She killed some of the ones that got trapped. They'll go through their armor but it takes a while." Phoebe said.

"Yeah and they don't like to hold still." Saphy replied.

"See, water is evil." Kitty said.

"Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's evil." I said.

"How can it be evil it killed an evil digimon?" Phoebe asked.

"I'm not evil." Saphy replied feeling somewhat offended.

"Coast is clear, but hurry, he seems interested in the building on your right." Angela said before we could continue that conversation.

"Allright then." I said as we started to run. Kitty took the lead in case we bumped into some commandramon. Phoebe kept a few of her shurikens ready. Everyone else looked vigilante in their own ways.

We avoided the tankmon and mammothmon and took out a handful of commandramon and icedevimon as we cautiously made our way to the west end. It's also important to point out that Tankmon aren't exactly stealthy, nothing that relies on metal tank tracks for propulsion can be. They also sound like they have some sort of diesel engine powering said tracks, and when they talk they're almost always yelling because they need to be heard over all the other racket they make. They're only quiet when they're not moving. Mammothmon tend to shake the ground as they travel, but are a lot quieter.

"Oh no." Phoebe said.

"What?" I asked.

"Newbies are banged up pretty bad." Phoebe said.

"Fuck. Where are they?" I asked.

"They're in a house over this way." She said pointing to the southwest.

"I was hoping the goddesses were over here." I said.

"Yeah well the newbies are hurt bad so, maybe going the wrong way wasn't so bad this time." Phoebe said.

"Except now we gotta go clear across town to get to Dianamon." I said.

"Yeah well, we made it so far." Kitty said.

"That's right Kitty Kat." Phoebe agreed.

"Why is Dianamon so important?" Angela asked.

"She can kill the tankmon." I said.

"Let's stop talking and help the newbies we don't have much time." Phoebe said.

-meanwhile at the house the newbies were hiding in-

Their soul-surviving mechanorimon was outside guarding the door. The newbies on the floor of the house staying away from the windows and trying to manage their wounds.

"So this is how we die." Selly said.

"No, we're not dead yet." Kiera replied bracing her leg in pain.

"We're bleeding all over the place, we don't have any healing cream, everything hurts, we're down to one mechanorimon, who the hell knows where Cj and Phoebe are?" Sellenia said.

"Shut up Selly, we'll make it." Lussy said.

"You're hurt the worst, you can't even get up. And they think you're supposed to be our leader." Sellenia said.

"They just made you our leader cause you give good blow jobs." Selly said.

"Shut up….nnnnnggg fuck this hurts." Lussy said, a sheet was tightly wrapped around her leg to try to control the bleeding, but it was starting to get saturated with blood.

"Yeah back off, you're taking it too far. Think about it idiot, if this is the end you really want this to be the last conversation we have?" Kiera said.

"Fuck you're right." Selenia replied.

"Even if we die atleast we did something about this deusmon guy that was going to destroy our whole universe." Kiera said.

"I always hoped I could find a husband someday." Lussy said.

"Fuck that noise." Selly said.

"Really?" Kiera asked.

"Yeah, marriage is overrated." Selly replied.

"Well I wouldn't be like Phoebe and let him fuck everybody." Lussy said.

"Not even us?" Kiera asked.

"Well maybe you two." Lussy said. "But you have to let me play with your husbands." Lussy said.

"But I'm never getting married." Selly said.

"Well then you can just play with Cj whenever Phoebe lets you." Lussy said.

"It's not that bad is it?" Selly asked.

"They're a lot of fun but I really want a man to myself." Lussy said.

"Yeah well, I just want the freedom to be with whoever I want whenever I want." Selenia said.

"Not everybody is going to let you play with their husbands." Lussy said.

"Not everybody has powers like Phoebe or a choice in the matter." Selenia replied.

"You little homewrecker." Lussy said lightheartedly.

"Shanglorfs! Girls, it's bleeding through and I'm starting to feel tired." Lussy said.

"Don't fall asleep, Selly get another sheet or some curtains or something." Kiera said.

"Well what do you want out of life then?" Lussy asked, her voice growing weaker.

"I don't know, as long as I can stay occupied, I'll be fine. Just come on, keep fighting it." Kiera replied while Selly frantically looked for something to use as another makeshift bandage.

"So you don't care if you get married or not?" Lussy asked, weakly.

"As long as I'm not bored." Kiera replied.

"I guess that's fair, personally I never get bored with my Cj, he's so fun the pway with." Phoebe said.

"Phoebe, you're here?!" Selenia asked.

"Mhm. I heard you were in trouble. Cj and some others will be here in a bit too." Phoebe replied.

"You have healing cream? We're all banged up, but treat Lussy first she's really messed up." Kiera asked.

""Yeah, that's why we came here." Phoebe said as I arrived along with the others.

"Well shit they are fucked up." I said as I saw all the blood on the floor, they all had multiple wounds.

"No time to waste we're about to lose Lussy!" Phoebe said alarmingly as she got a jar of healing cream out of her digivice and rushed towards her.

"Here I'll get some for you two." I said.

"I can put it on myself." Kiera said.

"Yeah, we're doing a bit better than her." Selly said.

"That's fine, here you go." I replied as I handed them some jars of cream.

"So, how is it going then?" Kiera asked as she started to herself down with cream.

"Too many tankmon, too many mammothmon." I said as Phoebe frantically tried to revive lussy.

"Come on Lussy, don't give up." Phoebe said, nervous at the thought of losing her.

"What?" Lussy asked weakly.

"Try to stay awake. Or I'm going to have to keep your heart going like I did with Cj a long time ago." Phoebe said.

"You can do that?" Lussy asked in a somewhat delirious state.

"I'm not going to let you die Lussy, you're our friend, with benefits, but still our friend." Phoebe said.

"Please hang in there." Kiera said.

"Yeah, come on, you are our leader." Selly agreed.

"Girls, I feel so tired." Lussy said.

"DON'T GO TO SLEEP." Selly yelled as she passed out.

"Arceus." Phoebe said.

"Oh fuck." I said.

"NO!" Kitty exclaimed.

"She's fine, don't worry I can still hear her thoughts. The cream should be kicking in and sealing her wounds." Phoebe said.

"But is she going to wake up?" Selly asked.

"I hope so." Phoebe said.

"Heaven's charm." Angela said.

"What are you doing?" I asked out of curiousity.

"I can help heal her." Angela replied.

White light emanated from her hand as she placed them on our incapacitated comrade.

Lussy regained consciousness seconds later.

"So you can heal too?" I asked.

"I can do a lot of things." Angela replied.

"I know, I've been watching you fight." I said.

"Is she any good?" Phoebe asked.

"She's like Dianamon she's got ranged and close combat skills." I said.

"Where am I?" Lussy asked.

"You lost too much blood and passed out, but I think we got to you in time." Phoebe said.

"What about Selly and Kiera?" She asked.

"We're right here." Kiera said.

"Ok, you need a bit to regain your strength, but once you do, we all need to get moving before the tankmon come knocking." Phoebe said.

"Right." Lussy agreed.

"Have you taken down any tankmon?" I asked Angela.

"No, haven't thought about it." She replied.

"Like Dianamon's arrows, they can pierce their armor, I was wondering if yours could as well." I suggested.

"Well, she's a mega, and while her claim of being a goddess is heresy, it isn't without merit, I'm just an ultimate, a servant of Ophanimon, it would take more than a few dozen of me to pose a threat to her, if not hundreds." Angela replied.

"So you don't think you can then?" I asked.

"I don't think it's worth the risk. If I hit it and it doesn't die then it will come for us." She replied.

"Fair enough." I said.

"Lussy let us know when you're ready to try to stand up." Phoebe said.

"I can try now." She replied.

"Ok, here, I'll help you, let's just stay away from the windows." Phoebe said as she helped her up.

"Where are we going to go?" Lussy asked.

"Back to the east side. So we can join up with the goddesses." Phoebe said.

"All the way over there?" Lussy asked.

"Yeah." Phoebe replied.

"Where's Henry and Claire?" Lussy asked.

"I think they went to the east as well, with Ninjamon. I hope they're ok." Phoebe said.

"What about IceLeomon and his wives?" Kitty asked.

"They're, his wives are at there house, I don't think they finished the base enough to hide there, they don't know where IceLeomon is so I don't either. He probably went to fight." Phoebe said.

The mechanorimon outside fired it's laser only to get tackled and presumably killed by a mammothmon seconds later.

"We gotta go." I said.

"Take my hands." Phoebe said.

She teleported all of us about a quarter of the way across town, using most of her energy.

"This as far as I can take all of you, Arceus my head." She said as I watched her carefully for signs she was gonna collapse.

"We need to carry you?" I asked.

"Just let me lean on you for support." She said as she did so.

"Ok, I got you." I replied.

"Allright Angela you're back on sky watch, Kitty, Violet, take the lead, Saphy take the rear, Pheebles I want you on the rear too if you recover before we get there." I said.

"Ok." Phoebe replied.

"Also keep an eye out for Henry and Claire." I said.

"I'll try, no guarantees my head feels like it's going to explode." Phoebe said.

"That's ok baby, don't push yourself too hard." I said.

"Where are we going?" Kitty asked.

"Just go that way until we figure out where the goddesses are exactly, take the lead, allright? This way we have some protection if a commandramon pops out or something. " I said.

"Ok, I understand." She replied.

With that we started to make our way back east. Took down a couple icedevimon and a few more commandramon that we bumped into along the way that were really too trivial to talk about in greater detail. Then Kitty stopped us at a corner because she saw a mammothmon walking away from us that seemed to be looking through windows for signs of life. Unlike the tankmon, it could hurt them to crash through a house, though they were more than capable of doing so. They were smarter about it.

"It doesn't know we're here." Kitty whispered.

"So I guess we'll just sneak around it then." I said.

"Yeah it takes too long to kill them, others will find us by then for sure. Let's just go quickly before it turns around." Phoebe said.

"I could hypnotize it." Kitty said.

"Not the worse idea maybe it could take down a few tankmon." I said.

"Mhm." Kitty agreed.

"Then you're going out there on your own, we'll stay behind this building." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, I'll call you back to the digivice if something goes wrong ok? Good luck." I said, kissing her on the cheek before retreating back behind the building.

And so she went out there approaching the beast with all the confidence in the world.

"Hey there." She said, prompting the beast to turn around.

"You're that Lilithmon that works with the humans. Where are they?" It said.

"Why would I tell you? I only came out here so I could do this. Darkness Love" Kitty said before she took over its mind.

"Go kill all the tankmon." She commanded.

"Yes mistress." The beast replied before turning around and walking away.

"It just called you it's mistress." I said as she returned.

"So? You know I'm yours." Kitty replied as she wrapped her arms around me.

"You did a good job babe. That honestly wasn't a bad idea." I said.

"Awwwe thanks." She replied.

"Cj, my head still hurts pretty bad I need you to help me a bit longer." Phoebe said.

"Of course baby girl." I replied, knowing full well she just wanted the attention.

"Yeah well, my face hurts." Kitty said.

"How?" I asked.

"Because he had to look at it for my powers to work. And he's so ugly." Kitty said.

"Kitty keep your head in the game, the whole group needs you to take the lead on this. You're keeping the newbies safe, you're keeping me and Pheebles safe. So go take the lead. I need you to be my lieutenant again. "I said.

"Mhm." Phoebe agreed as she snuggled me affectionately.

"Ok fine." Kitty replied.

"Are we going yet or are they going to fight over him?" Illustria asked.

"Just let them work this out." Kiera said.

"Yeah we're going, come on Violet." Kitty said as the flower digimon quietly followed her with her eyes.

A few more minutes of walking and we were on the east side of town. We didn't come across any more enemy digimon. And there was no sign of the other three mechanorimon. I assumed they had likely been destroyed at this point. We were all surprised to see the goddesses holding down their side of the village, still fighting at the trap line meaning there weren't as many enemy digimon wandering the "streets" on this side and pretty much all the houses were still intact, but things were about to change yet again as some new enemies appeared in the distance. Tankdramon, similar to tankmon but significantly stronger and bizarrely not in the same evolutionary line. Instead, it is the ultimate form of commandramon. They arrived with a small platoon of porcupamon, sealsdramon, both champions that specialized in close-combat, even more commandramon, which ironically specialize in ranged attacks despite digivolving to sealsdramon, and several shadowtoyagumon in the form of about half a dozen m1 abrams-esque tanks. Which are fortunately not nearly as well armored as the real thing, though they still pack the firepower of multiple toy agumon, more than enough to threaten a champion or even an toyagumon species is quite possibly one of the most versatile rookies in existence. While not spectacular on its own it can freely combine with others of it's kind to take on and nearly limitless variety of forms, from all manner of military vehicles to dinosaurs.

"What are those things?" Illustria asked.

"Porcupamon, I think they're part of marionamon's army aren't they?" I asked.

"I think so." Phoebe said.

We had severely crippled marionamon's army quite a while ago, before Kitty could even maintain her digivolved form, so it was kind of surprising they even turned up at all, only a few escaped on the train she escaped on so she had to be making more digimon somehow.

"There you are. I saw you heading this way, figured I'd go this way too." Iceleomon said as he caught up to us, it was strange seeing him without his wives in tow.

"You left your wives at home." Phoebe asked.

"They'll be safer there." IceLeomon said.

"Are you sure?" Phoebe asked.

"Yeah now that we're all grouped up they'd probably be safer here, if a tankmon finds them dude, there's not much they can do." I said.

"Can you take me back to them?" A noticeably nervous IceLeomon asked Phoebe.

"I can take you there, I can't take you back, not enough energy." Phoebe replied.

"Do it atleast that way I can protect them." IceLeomon said.

"Cj, I'll be back in a little while, don't get hurt." Phoebe said before kissing me on the cheek.

"Come on let's go." She said to Iceleomon as she offered her hand.

She teleported them away a bit later.

"I just hope she doesn't get hurt." I said.

"She won't." Kitty said, trying to reassure me.

"She always says that to you." Lussy pointed out.

"Yeah well, there's a lot of times in the past I almost died so, I mean yeah she jokes about it sometimes, but, at the same time, she is serious. " I said.

"Really?" Selenia asked.

"Yeah, but she won't admit that she's had moments like that too." I replied.

"Anyway Kitty Kat, why don't you take Violet, and Angela out there and see if you can help the goddesses? Saphy you stay with us in case we need some extra muscle." I said.

"Ok, come on then Violet and Angie." Kitty said as she headed for the front.

"Why do you want me to stay here and not Kitty?" Saphy asked.

"Because one of you has to stay back in case they find us, and I can monitor Kitty's health from here, and it'd just be weird to ask Angela or Violet to do it." I said.

"Oh, ok then." Saphy said.

"So are you going to stay or are we going to wait here for Phoebe to get back so she can tell you to stay?" I asked.

"No it's fine." Saphy replied.

"Allright then let's go find a house where we can duck down and maybe take some potshots." I replied.

"You have any more guns?" Lussy asked.

"A few but nothing spectacular, some of the commandramon's m16s, a few nohemon crossbows. If nothing else we could probably chip away at the porcupamon and sealsdramon. If we hear a tankmon coming though Saphy will stall it while we run to another house." I said.

"Ok." Lussy replied.

"Right, let's go ladies." Kitty said with a bit of authority in her voice I hadn't heard since she was my lieutenant.

3 of the digibabes went out to fight, I led Saphy and the newbies over to the nearest suitable house on the edge of the village where we could see the action through the windows. Then I went back to monitoring Kitty's health as we played the waiting game and occasionally fired at one of the various non-bulletproof digimon, chipping away at their health bit by bit.

The obelisk was about as effective against the porcupamon and sealsdramon as the m16s logically should have been, a few solid shots and that's all they wrote, it could take down the commandramon quickly too, but I could only get a few shots into one before others would return fire. It was useless against the tankmon unless you could get a shot at their chest, and only marginally painful to the mammothmon, though we weren't aiming for them at the moment because we didn't need their attention, and we couldn't the chance of them surviving to track us down. Against the tankdramon, I never fired at it because I figured it would be useless and I also didn't want to get its attention as it was even scarier than the tankmon. Once the riffraff was cleared out the goddesses along with Kitty's makeshift team all went up against it at once. It was strong, ridiculously strong and it was taking big chunks out of Kitty's health. It may have been on of Darkdramon's lieutenants, I never heard it say anything so I wasn't sure. Violet and Angela fell back while the goddesses remained at the forefront like they had been basically the whole time. Kitty's hypnosis was failing, this one knew to avoid eye contact with her and it was moving too fast to do so anyway. It sounded like a war going on, a lot of firepower, a lot of gunshots.

The hypnotized tankmon Kitty sent after it were quickly shredded by its gattling guns, and the mammothmon didn't fair much better. At that point Kitty figured out it was atleast a decent strategy to get rid of a few of them, until they caught on and they wouldn't look at her anymore, which had the consolation prize of making it a lot less likely that she would get hit. Though at that point she was already pretty banged up.

-A few minutes later-

"Saphy you're on deck babe, if Kitty loses much more health I'm calling her back and then you can switch places with her." I said.

"Who is going to call me back if I get hurt?" Saphy asked.

"Phoebe should be back any minute and then IceLeomon will be able to help as well so don't worry about it." I said.

-a few more minutes later-

"Ok she's getting down to 30% Saphy get out there I'm calling her back." I said.

When she fell in the pit trap it took her down to 10%

I pressed the button to bring her back once Saphy was about halfway out there.

"You didn't have to pull me out Cj." Kitty said.

"Your health bar was less than half, and you're getting blood everywhere." I said as she started to cough up a bit more blood.

"Oh and you're coughing up blood." I said.

"Sorry. Nnng, everything hurts. I think you're right, I need to sit down." She said as she sat down and curled up in pain.

."Yeah I know you're in a lot of pain, those gattling guns it has look and sound really mean." I said.

"They are, he waves them around too fast I can't tell where he's shooting." Kitty replied, trying to manage her pain. She reverted to her persiamon form seconds later.

"Hmm, guess reverting to your ultimate form gets you back up to 40 percent." I said.

"It still hurts and I can't change back." She moaned.

"Yeah I noticed earlier you lose quite a bit of health when you change to your mega form." I said.

"Weird, I don't feel any pain when I do." Kitty said as I got the healing cream ready.

"I guess it just takes a lot of energy to digivolve, and the loss in health is reflective of that more than just pain." I said.

"I don't know. I'm still really sore right now." She replied.

" I guess we'll get you healed up again. Hopefully Pheebles will get back soon." I said as I started to rub the cream on her for the second time that day.

"I hope she's ok." Kitty said.

"She probably is." I replied.

"Just probably?" Kitty asked.

"I don't want to think about it really." I said.

"Sorry." Kitty replied as I watched her health bar gradually go up as the cream did its thing.

"Feeling better yet?" I asked.

"Getting better." She said with an adorable smile.

"Ok, you're at 100 according to this, why don't you get back out there and send Angela and Violet back if it's safe, they're probably banged up by now too." I said.

"Ok." She said.

"Love you Kitty Kat. Give' em hell." I said.

"Love you." She replied.

We kissed and then she took off back to the front.

"Who do you love more her or Phoebe?" Lussy asked after she left.

"Pheebles, but I have a lot of love for both of them, I owe them both so much. And they're starting to get along pretty good now. Pheebles and I were married before all this and we have kids that, we haven't seen in a very long time. " I said.

"And then there's Zari." Kiera pointed out.

"Yeah, well, we're trying to establish some limits, one virara each if even because Phoebe seems to be fine with just the three of us." I said.

"I can't believe she's that generous." Lussy replied.

"Well she gets to play with Kitty too, so." I said.

"I guess that makes more sense." Lussy replied.

The fight continued against the tankdramon as the enemies started to flock to it for support. We had to duck down because there were several passing by the house we were in, including some tankmon who were thankfully going around and not just smashing straight through as they were in a hurry and it still took them less time to just go around. The newbies were terrified. I just kept watching Kitty's health bar. Angela and Violet apparently decided to stay out there and not come back for healing. It was too dangerous to do anything but sit and listen now.

Phoebe finally came back several minutes later with Iceleomon's wives as well as Henry, Claire, and Ninjamon.

"Cj, you owe me a kiss!" She said, playfully.

"Yeah, I know." I replied as I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her.

"Now if you're gonna stay in here get down everyone just take a seat on the floor and stay out of the windows." I said.

"Ok, I'm sorry it took so long but I found Henry and Claire." She said.

"That's good, anyway, I think all the enemy digimon are heading this way, I guess they can hear the fight and some of them are getting very close to the house. So you gotta stay quiet and out of the windows." I said.

"Ok well, I'm tired, my head hurts, and I need to rest for a bit." She said.

"Ok." I replied.

"The newbies are so scared." She said.

"How can we not be we can't even fight back and one of those tanks could come crashing through any moment and squish us all." Selenia said.

"Well let me rest for a bit and then I'll take us all back towards the center of town, if they're all coming over here than the middle of town should be nearly empty." Phoebe said.

"Right, as long as we can recall our digimon in case they get hurt." I replied.

"You girls know what I'm talking about?" I asked Iceleomon's wives.

"If you go through the menus here you can get to this screen and then you can monitor your husband's health." I said.

"Oh yeah we found that a long time ago." Elishen said.

"Oh, ok then." I replied.

"And when his health gets too low you push this button it will bring him back to you." I said.

"Right he already explained." Elishen said.

"Cool." I replied.

"And I'll watch Saphy's." Phoebe said.

"Right." I replied.

"Pheebles, maybe it's best if you go out there once you feel like you can, and just stay out of sight but keep an eye on Angela and Violet since we can't monitor their health." I said.

"Yeah, maybe in a little while." Phoebe said.

"You newbies know where the mechanorimon's data clouds are?" I asked.

"The enemy took them." Lussy said.

"Well, they'll separate when the enemy is destroyed." I said.

"I hope so." Lussy replied.

"It takes a few hours for the data to be completely absorbed. They've been killed and absorbed by the enemy before, it shouldn't be a problem." Phoebe said as she cuddled me.

A few minutes passed as we monitored our digimon's health and listened to the sounds of the battle going on outside. A chaotic mix of gunshots, cannonshots, explosions, metal on metal, tankmon moving around, agonized screams, mammothmon charging and making enraged elephant-like sounds, etc. Not the most pleasant things to hear. Over all this we could barely hear any of the other smaller digimon who were basically cannon fodder. Everything was flocking to this side now, trying to kill the goddesses and our digimon. After which they would come for us, likely destroying the rest of the village in the process.

Then we heard the sound of a window breaking in a smaller side room, prompting everyone to point their weapons at the doorway, but it turned out to be violetmon, who was badly injured.

"Ohhhh violet, you're a mess." Phoebe said, sounding concerned.

"Don't let me die, I can't be banished to the darkzone again." She said, sounding genuinely scared and desperate.

"You had us scared for a moment." I said as everyone lowered their weapons. "We'll get you healed up, don't worry."

"Mhm, here stay back there I'll come to you." Phoebe said as she crawled over to her with a jar of cream I still had sitting out thinking I would need to use some more.

What seemed like two, maybe even three hours passed while we sheltered in there, occasionally one of the digimon would come in and we'd heal them. Phoebe popped outside on occasion just to check on things then came back before the enemy even had a chance to notice her. Nearly every time she did so she noticed a new group of enemies approaching, nothing new, just the same combinations of digimon we had been fighting. Some were taking cover in the trees. It seemed like it would never end, we had amassed a large amount of healing cream, so we could keep healing our digimon for a while, and they all came by atleast once when they got the chance to sneak away.

I had Phoebe take me to a few nearby houses so I could get a few more shots in without risking everyone else's safety. Everyone else wanted to go as well, to different houses, but it was way too taxing on her to teleport us all at once that often, so she moved us around one at a time, just me and Henry and Selenia, because we were the best shots and she felt that she couldn't manage any more without risking us or herself.

We'd take a few shots, cripple a porcupamon or two, then they would start running towards the house, we'd try to take down a few more, if no commandramon returned fire, but they would eventually get the attention of a tankmon, or a mammothmon. Then it was time to hope my baby girl was paying enough attention that she could pull us out of there before they could get a closer look. The mix of porcupamon, sealsdramon, and commandramon would invade the house, find nothing, then head back to the main fight prompting the tankmon or mammothmon to go with them, we got away with this a few times before some tankmon started bulldozing the houses indiscriminately again, which made us think we were going to have to fall back to the next row of houses, but they only managed to destroy a couple before Dianamon saw them and ended them.

While we had enough supplies to heal our digimon for quite a while, they were getting tired which led to them getting hurt faster as they fought more sloppily. Things became more and more concerning as the battle waged on, until eventually the enemies thinned out, the mighty tankdramon was defeated and the sounds of battle went away. Things went quiet, as Phoebe went out again to look around and make sure it was all over.

"Kitty and the others are coming, I don't see any more enemies, I think it's finally over." She said when she returned.

"For now atleast, maybe." I said.

Our exhausted digimon returned to the house several minutes later.

"Cj, I just wanna hold you." Kitty said as she ran up and hugged me.

"Hey that's my line." Phoebe said.

"Oh let me hold him for a bit you've been snuggling him in here for who knows how long." Kitty said.

"No I haven't I've been taking him, Henry, and Selly around to help you guys out, atleast until they started tearing down the houses. Phoebe said.

"Oh come here I'll hold both of you." I said.

"Ok." Phoebe relented.

"I'm glad neither of you got hurt." I said as I put one of them in each arm.

"Cj can you help me with my wounds?" Venusmon asked all cute like.

"Ok missy, I can see from here you still have limbs, you can heal yourself." Phoebe said, thoroughly annoyed as she used her powers to move the jar of cream over to her.

"Yeah, he's our Cj." Kitty agreed.

"More than he's just your Cj atleast." Phoebe said with a sigh.

"But he's yours too." Kitty said.

" I'm glad you're ok too Kitty Kat, but he's mine, and you're ours." Phoebe said as she hugged both of us.

"That was a good fight." Mervamon said.

"Yes it was a rather impressive show, but they still lost." Iceleomon said.

"That was planned, it had to be." Venusmon said.

"Did you check the traps for tankmon? Some of them survived falling in." Phoebe asked.

"Dianamon is going around and checking them now actually." Mervamon said.

"Good." Phoebe said.

"We're going to need another jar of cream." Phoebe said.

"Yeah, probably." I said as I got out another.

"You're bleeding a little bit Kitty Kat, not as bad as earlier but still." I said.

"Oh. Yeah I thought my arm was hurting a little bit." She said.

"Let's take care of that before more show up." I said as Phoebe went off to check Saphy.

"Saphy are you allright?" Phoebe asked.

"I could use some cream." She replied looking a bit sore.

"Ok, I'll help you heal up then." Phoebe said.

"Angela?" Phoebe asked.

"I just need some rest. Violet is allright too." The angel digimon replied.

"Ok." Phoebe said.

"So how many did you take down today Saphy?" Phoebe asked.

"Fiftyish." Saphy replied.

"Not bad, that's definitely an improvement." Phoebe said.

"How many did you get Kitty Kat?" I asked.

"You know? I don't keep count. Sorry." She replied.

"Eh, it's fine, I know you gave'em hell." I said.

"Mhm." She replied.

We should search around to make sure there isn't any stragglers, especially those gun carrying lizards." Henry said.

"Yeah we will have to or nobody is sleeping tonight. I don't know when Zari is going to come back with the bus so we're stuck here for now." Phoebe said.

Everyone got healed then we started splitting back up and cautiously heading to our own houses, with Kitty leading the way. She got jumped by a few sealsdramon and porcupamon, which though they were able to hit her they ended up paying the price and a bit more cream brought her back up to full health again, though it was really starting to annoy her by the time we made it home.

"You know what's funny? None of things we did to our house made a difference because we weren't anywhere near it for most of the fight." Phoebe pointed out.

"I just hope the newbies and goddesses can find the mechanorimon. Or the bus is going to be really crowded." I said.

"Saphy and I already found the ones the goddesses were using, I hid them inside a house until they wake up." Kitty said.

"I wondered what you were doing over there, I thought you forgot what house we were in." Phoebe said.

"No, I was putting the mechanorimons somewhere safe." Kitty said.

"Will they actually fit in the house though when they wake up?" I asked.

"I don't know." Kitty said.

"Eh they will probably bust their way out it'll be fine, just another house the enemy destroyed." I said.

"So they only need to find half of them then." Phoebe asked.

"Yeah." Kitty replied.

"Well that's a little bit of a relief." Phoebe said.

"So, Pheebles, can we all sleep in the same bed tonight?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know Kitty Kat we might leave by tonight, it just depends on when Zari gets back, hopefully with Kazemon, but we'll see, you definitely deserve it after all that." Phoebe replied.

"Yeah you're right." I said, just as paranoid as her, so we cautiously entered the house. She had her powers, I had the obelisk drawn. We started to kind of wave around making sure that what appeared to be empty space was empty. Until we were absolutely sure the whole house was clear and a commandramon wasn't going to come out of nowhere and murder us. And only then did we feel safe enough to crawl into bed and snuggle, with the obelisk propped up against the wall nearby of course.

"I hope our friends are smart enough to do the same." I said.

"You shouldn't have said that now I can't relax at all." Phoebe said.

"They'll be fine they're just as shook as we are." I said.

"Arceus Cj I'm sorry but now I gotta go make sure." She said before getting back up and getting her boots and coat back on.

She teleported out and I waited, and waited, and waited, until she finally came back.

I didn't want to stray too far from the house, but I was bored and couldn't see anyone else outside. So I sat on the steps leading to the front door and waited around for a few minutes until Chally, who had gone with Zari during the battle, came by to announce that Zari came back with the bus.

"Well I can't leave until Pheebles wakes up, so." I replied.

"Here I got an idea." I said as I got Cap'n'magnum's pokeball out of my pocket. He's a magnezone. A cyborg UFO pokémon that is very sturdy, so I knew I could count on him to not get hurt too much, and he had strong enough electric attacks as well as magnet bombs, he should be able to fend off the smaller digimon.

Any way I clicked the button and sent him out.

"Magnum should be able to help you." I said.

"Magnezone, Magna!" He chimed.

"Just take her where she want to go, make sure she doesn't get attacked, and then you can come back here ok buddy?" I asked.

"Magna zone." He replied.

"He's like a living spaceship." Challana said, unsure what to think of him.

"Yeah, basically. Just stay away from the tankmon if you find one. He should be able to take the smaller ones, but I don't know about the tankmon." I replied.

"Ok." She said.

"So have him lead the way and you should be fine." I said.

"Ok Magnum, just give me a second here." I said as I went through my digivice.

"I need you to look out for these guys, these guys, and these guys. If you see them go ahead and hit them with thunder." I said as I showed him pictures of porcupamon, sealsdramon, and commandramon keeping the digivice far enough away from him so he wouldn't ruin it. "Magna!" He nodded affirmatively.

"Right ok then, see you in a while." I said.

"See you, come on let's go this way." Chally replied, not entirely sure what she was doing as Magnum hovered ahead of her.

They eventually disappeared from sight as I stood outside of the house that we would probably be leaving by the end of the day.

The paranoia kept me going otherwise I would've been bored out of my mind, but I was way too alert to sleep and if I went back to bed as I was it would inevitably lead to me annoying Phoebe and keeping her up to the point where she would just kick me back out again, Kitty Kat not so much as when she's tired, she sleeps like a brick, but still. I was worried something would notice us and come in from the outside,so I needed to guard the door. I started through the various digimon on the digivice and reading about them to pass the time.

"Cj." Phoebe said after teleporting out in front of me, fully dressed.

"Well, like we discussed earlier, Bacchusmon's army is going to lead the way and intercept any opposing forces we come across." Zari said.

"How many digimon are coming Kazemon?" I asked.

"489, all champions or higher. We pulled all the strings and recruited everyone we possibly could." Kazemon said.

"That should be on par with what we've seen so far." I said.

"I don't think they have much left after the attack they sent earlier." Phoebe said.

"No, they're smarter than that, surely they've retained some to keep their defenses up." Zari interjected.

"We should always assume they have more coming Pheebles." I said.

"Right, so it's best we leave as soon as possible." Phoebe said.

"Yeah." I replied.

"And then you can come on the bus with us." Phoebe said.

"What is your obsession with her?" I asked.

Insect and plant digimon don't like the cold so there are not very many of them this far north. In the air, there were a few harpymon, aquillamon, and birdramon, not a whole lot but all the mechanorimon had been recovered so we had them to help them out.

"Wow this is a lot of digimon." Phoebe said to me as we stood before the crowd.

A few of the digimon that were closer too us took notice of her, others kept talking.

I don't know what she did exactly but she used her powers in a way that quickly quieted the crowd.

"NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!" Kitty yelled, thoroughly annoyed.

"Ok I guess I got your attention now, hopefully or she might have to do that again and we all don't want that clearly" Zari said to the crowd.

"This is Phoebe, she's a gardevoir and can do weird things like that, I don't know how or why, anyway, you're all here today for one reason and one reason alone. To ensure the destruction of the Dark Rulers before they can resurrect deusmon and ensure the destruction of this world and who knows how many others. They've already taken so many, as we've traveled across this land we've come across more empty villages than I can even remember.

We've taken on thousands of their followers. We've even take down most of the dark rulers themselves, but now we need to make a final push, against the safehaven they've made for themselves in the frozen city. We have captured BlackLillymon as something of an insurance policy, to prevent them from resurrecting what they can of deusmon for the time being. But I can assure you, they will not wait forever.

We do not have much time to spare and we do not know the exact number of enemies we will be up against, but you can count on facing threats from Marionamon, Icedaemon, and Darkdramon." Zari replied before proceeding to go into detail about the digimon we knew they used and general tactics to use against them, which was nothing anyone in our group didn't know already, but helpful to our new digimon army.

After Zari and later on the goddesses filled them in they set up camp for the night, some slept in tents, other in what houses were still unclaimed. Everyone else returned to the houses they had been staying in for one final night.

"Violet what are you thinking about, don't just stand there like that, you need to learn to talk more." Angela said after they had been in their house for several minutes.
